  • Katie Ferrara Gives Us Honesty With "Weightless"

Katie Ferrara is a Burbank-based street performer and songwriter with a tender approach to life that bursts forth from her guitar and vocal chords in a way that’s both charming and reassuring. She’s already started capturing audiences around the globe with her purity of spirit and her belief that people everywhere are worthy of acceptance — and deserve a soundtrack. No wonder she rose from an unknown busker to participating in the 2015 “Feeling the Street” competition in New Zealand. She's also an author who has written about her experience meeting people through music. Recently, Ferrara recorded a video for her song “No Bad Days” in the Hollywood Hills. It is a thing of beauty. She strums the ukulele with nonchalance that isn’t forgetful or crass. You’re reminded that we all have one life to live, and so you better make the most of it. Her voice is clear as a bell, thankfully without the high-end whine too many emergent singer-songwriters have decided to cloak themselves in these days. Ferrara celebrates the euphoria of starting over every day. It’s a constant theme that shows up in her latest release “Weightless.” She knows that straight-forward and honest is a force unto its own. The song forces the listener to contemplate just how far they've come. It’s the kind of music I’d want on in the background if I was wandering through Burbank Town Center, during an evening of light shopping with a friend. “Weightless” is as joyous as the wide open sky and as hopeful as the dawn. It’s almost country without the twang. You’re not gonna push any boundaries with this one, but that’s not what it’s about. It's a personal affirmation. Don't forget to listen to "Weightless" here. Hi Katie, care to introduce yourself? My name is Katie Ferrara and I am singer/songwriter from Los Angeles. I sing for a living, play acoustic guitar andsome piano. I’ve been playing music for about 10 years now and this year I will be putting out my first full lengthrecord. This month I am releasing a song of that record called “Weightless” How do you find the crowds in the Los Angeles area differ from elsewhere? The LA music scene is very interesting. I find that the audience of many of the shows that I go to and play are madeup of other hungry songwriters and musicians who want to play the same showcase or venue. It’s kind of rare to see a “true fan” at a show-by this I mean someone who isn’t a musician themselves and has a normal 9-5 job. Not to say that other musicians are not fans of their counterparts-it’s just weird that the majority of audiences at local shows in LA are other artists, and producers. LA is all about finding your artist community or creating one around something that’s music related. I’ve seen a lot of artists start their own songwriting showcases, open mics, or pop up house concerts to bring people together. I’ve toured outside of LA to different cities on the west coast and abroad in Europe. It’s a completely differentexperience. Because people in smaller towns don’t have as many options for live entertainment, they appreciate when artists come and play. They buy your merch, CDs, and follow you online simply because they enjoyed your show whether it’s a small winery, coffee shop or even a big festival with curated acts. Can you please describe what your songwriting process is like? Is it the same every time or do you like to come at creation from different angles? I usually start my songs with melodies I come up by singing to myself. Sometimes I may start with a chord progression I come up with on the guitar or piano. I record these melodies into my phone and then I write lyrics to them. Sometimes I come up with the lyrics before the melody but most of the time I work with the music first. If I ever get stuck I like to co-write with people or go to a jam session. What was it like to participate in the “Feeling the Street” competition? This was a competition I entered a while ago in 2015. I think I’ve grown so much since then. When I entered, my voice was not as strong as it is now. really had to work hard to keep up with the other musicians. I will say that I’ve never won anything in my life and when I was selected to be a part of the band It was very special. I felt like I got a real taste of touring and working with other people on a project that was greater than myself. New Zealand is a beautiful country and I hope to go back one day. When you do feel the most “Weightless”? I feel weightless when I am in love or when I can break out of my shell. I also get this feeling when I’m traveling or in a situation when I can just be myself. I also feel weightless I hear a song that resonates with me. What do you recommend to people who maybe are stuck in some sort of rut in their life and want to feel the way you so clearly do in this song? I would tell those people to change their environment because the people and living situations you immerse yourself in shape your personality. Get rid of things you don’t need in your house, delete old phone numbers, repaint your walls. Maybe try dying your hair or getting a haircut. Take up a hobby like photography, cooking drawing, or running and find new people to practice those things with. Most importantly, travel--whether it’s just a local day trip to the beach or if it’s to another country for a week!

  • Chad Michael Impresses Us With "The Aura"

Chad Michael released his record “The Aura” and I was taken back by the impressive professionalism and skill in his flow. If you want to know who Chad Michael is, he’s an independent and hip-hop artist born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. Chad Michael is self-taught. He steadily developed not only his craft but his knowledge of the music profession as well, indulging himself in mastering all areas of production while writing and delivering his own original music. “The Aura” begins with a melodic introduction, a RnB and hip-hop vocal serenade that openly creates the vibe of the song. Chad begins to lyrically spit and his sound and flow reminded me a lot like the likes of popular artist “Drake”. He transitions in tempo like a storytelling climax, increasing the speed of his laid-back rap energy and  The effortless flow, and his own interesting individuality was something appealing for us to see and we can assert you and him that we will be hearing more from him. He has the whole star package from the image to the sound and to the vibes he produces through his gravitating instrumental beat and impeccable delivery. Bless your Spotify playlist by adding "The Aura" to it here. Keep up to date with Chad through his website and social media: Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic Get to know Chad Michael a little better through our exclusive interview with him below! Hey Chad, can you introduce yourself to our readers? What's up? I'm a hip-hop/R&B recording artist originally from Tucson, Arizona, and I've been in LA for almost five years now. I write every line of my music, so its always personal and real on my end. I also do a lot more than just the writing and recording - I'm a self-taught guitarist, audio engineer, graphic designer, and video editor, and I'm finally diving into music production. I learned pretty quickly out here that relying on other people for too much was going to keep me from creating the vision I've always had for myself, so I've been learning the ins and outs of this industry for a while now. That doesn't mean I haven't found amazing people along the way though, and having those friends to share and create with makes this path so much more fulfilling in the end. What inspired you to begin creating music? Having a voice, an outlet to speak on different topics and express myself, has always driven me, even before I started making hip-hop music. I have a degree in English and Psychology from Western New Mexico University, so writing and reading have always been a huge part of my life and a passion of mine. I guess somewhere along the line I started believing that music was the best way to let all of that expression out. Music has always been a branch of poetry to me - listening to artists like Tupac, Nas, Outkast, Lupe Fiasco (to name a few) - really showed me how beautiful and raw hip-hop can be, and I still believe at its core that's what hip-hop is: poetry with a beat. I believe in my art and my ability to reach people through music in a positive, helpful way - that's the bottom line. Have you ever faced moments where you wanted to quit during during the learning process of studio production? I wouldn't say that I've ever felt like quitting - I think when you know that what you're doing is what you're meant to do, there's a commitment that intensely hard to break. Like I said, I believe in myself even more now than when I started. I've made so much happen, and seen so much growth in myself, that stopping now would be a failure to see this through to my full potential. But there have certainly been times where its been hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. So much research and ground work that nobody sees, months of waiting and preparing, releases that never gained any traction, songs that weren't good enough to release. That's the life of an independent artist starting from zero. Everything is earned. But that also means that every small success, every new fan, every performance at a new venue, they're all special and mean so much to me. I remind myself a lot: the journey is the beautiful part of this. Its what is going to make all the successes that much sweeter down the line. How important is versatility to you? Its the most important thing to me. I've been blessed with multiple abilities, so fine-tuning them and perfecting my craft is what gets me excited about music still. Starting a project from scratch and knowing that I can literally do or try anything I want to with my voice and my mind is empowering. I don't have to stay inside the lines of what something "should be", or how things have been done in the past. I don't have to rely on an engineer to mix my songs based on how they were taught, or a label to tell me when and what to record. I don't answer to anyone when it comes to my art, and I feel that freedom when I'm creating. When you can use the entire spectrum to create is when things get fun (and weird), and its crucial to me that everything I do is a new extension of myself as an artist and musician. What is “The Aura “ about? What inspired you to write "The Aura"? This song is about temptation. Its about this big, gorgeous, insane city and all of the lights and shadows that it offers, the opportunities to either fly or fade into oblivion. There are very few cities on this earth with the energy of Los Angeles. I felt it when I first got here, this electricity and buzz that exists when everyone is following their dream and chasing the best version of themselves. But that energy can quickly turn dark when you realize how many other people are here to feed on your dreams and trap you into doing things that were never part of the plan. Drugs, women, money - I've witnessed and personally dealt with all kinds of vices designed to pull us away from our purpose. This song is about fighting through those obstacles, keeping focus on why we chose this life in the first place, and always recognizing that its ultimately up to us what we decide to pour our own energy into. I ask myself at the end: "Can you find your way home?", and it's still a question I'm fighting to answer. But through all the smoke and lights and temptations of this city and this industry, I'm getting closer to where I want to be, and in the end that's all I can ever really ask of myself. Do you personally prefer singing or rapping? I've been singing since I was two. My grandmother, a lifelong musician who had enrolled in college with a full music scholarship at 16, told me by the age of 6 that I had perfect pitch. I had no idea what that meant at the time, but I vividly remember the conversation - it gave me the confidence that I could sing and that (most of the time) people liked listening. People never really told me to shut up when I sang along in the car or anywhere else, and R&B quickly became my favorite genre of music. Classic artists and groups - Marvin Gaye, MJ, The Temptations - became my go-to soundtracks for any situation or mood. I grew up singing my soul out. Rapping has become only in the last six to seven years an art that I've started to really practice. I love it. Being able to use as many words as I see fit to get my point across, with really no hard structures or rules to the flow, has opened up the possibilities of music to me. Being able to do them both is the best feeling. Rapping while I sing (I call it melodic rapping) is a challenge and an art in itself that I'm still learning to take full advantage of, something that really has only come to the forefront of hip-hop in the last decade or so. At the end of the day though, I can't say that anything touches my soul like a good R&B record. Singing will always be the first level of music I fell in love with, so it will always be extra special to me. Catch a glimpse of Chad's "The Aura" below!

  • Take A listen To “Love Oasis” By Yashae

Yashae, an urban pop songwriter who is marrying her love for hip-hop and soul to create music that is both refreshing, relatable and reflective of her Caribbean nature. Her single “Love Oasis” was a beautiful and riveting song to me. I really was able to intune myself into her lyrics and I was able to connect with the music on a more personable level. “Baby I'm trying, I'm trying so hard to understand” the hook sings. What I interpreted from this record is that the main character being Yashae is fed up with the dishonest lies and games she’s receiving from a man she knows is capable of better. She gives in all effort and tries to not just throw in the towel because she not only has faith in him but faith in them both. It’s a song many people will be able to vibe out with because sometimes all we need is a song to vent for us and allow our emotions to roam freely while they rap or sing authentic lyrics that happens in our day to day lives. Yashae delivers that with her sultry and raspy vocal resonance and melodic RnB trap beat. Click here to add "Love Oasis" to your Spotify playlist. • Josh Rosenblum Releases The Authentic Ballad “Better Man”

Josh Rosenblum is a southern California based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who originates from Modesto California. He performs solo alongside with his band. Josh has been touring all over California for 10 ½ years and has 7 independent album releases (5 studio albums and 2 live albums). He released his latest single titled “Better Man” and his ability to emote with his lyrics and serenade his listeners with his delicate and lightly depressive vocal resonance was captivating to see. He didn’t do too much although he’s capable of those big vocal belts and ear piercing vocal power. He shows his skills through riveting melodies and a more subtle, yet dramatically increasing emotional conviction, which was enough to propel the single forward. “Better Man” begins with the beautiful strings from the acoustic guitar before Josh’s strikingly beautiful vocal chords transitions in with poetic lyricism about a girl who he sees deserves better than what she’s receiving right now. “I’m gonna help you understand that I can be a better man” is what Josh sings in the hook. The lyrics are relatable to those who feel like they’re either being under-appreciated by a significant other in their life or isn’t fully appreciating someone they know deserves to be appreciated more. The relatable lyrics, chilling voice, and beautiful instrumental is the production of a hit ballad such as “Better Man” Make sure to add "Better Man" to your Spotify playlist here. Check out the band's website, or connect with them through their social media: Facebook Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic Get to know Josh through our interview questions below. Hi Josh, can you introduce yourself to our readers? Hi! My name is Josh Rosenblum. I'm a Southern California based singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist originally from Modesto, California. I came from a family of heavily jazz influenced musicians, where literally everyone plays an instrument (you can imagine how loud it was growing up in my house). My mother is the only one who doesn't play, although she would say she plays the radio. I took music classes through public schooling, played in marching and jazz band in high school (which is where I met my current band) and made it my life's goal to surround myself in all things music. I've been touring around the state for 11 years now and it's been a really fun ride so far! Knowing that you perform solo as well as with your band at times, do you find any different challenges between performing individually and with a collective? They both have their pros and cons. Playing solo, I have the freedom of changing arrangements of songs on a whim without having to cue anybody which allows me to have some wiggle room when performing. The only thing that is sacrificed in a solo set is the big sound of the band and the opportunities to express myself further by taking more extensive solos. With the band, it's more of a creative playground where we get to bounce ideas off of each other and feed off of the natural collective energy of the groove in the moment. “Better Man” is a beautiful song. Were you able to relate to it? When I was writing "Better Man", I tapped into an area of personal experience in my life, that I'm sure everyone has gone through, where you see someone struggling in an emotionally abusive relationship and you wish you could have the chance to prove to them what real love is, and it doesn't necessarily have to be romantic. I hope people listening to this song who are in this scenario are inspired to do what they can to find a way out, and discover what real love means to them. What other talents and hobbies besides music do you have? Music, in its various incarnations, is my job and hobby, but when I'm not self producing an album, I'm self producing my next amateur masterpiece in the kitchen! Lately I've been playing with Mexican flavors and can make you a mean shrimp burrito that my wife and pets can attest to. Other than cooking, I'm also an avid retro gamer and enjoy everything from Blaster Master to the original Halo franchise. I recently had a show in Reno and spent half the day in the casino's arcade before the gig. I also keep a small list of stand up bits that I hope to perform one day. Honestly, I think some of them are pretty good, but most of them should probably never see the light of day... Out of all of your releases on your recent album, which is your favorite and why? Well, it's hard to choose just one because I treat every song like a child. Releasing an album is currently the closest feeling to watching your children move out to college that I can get. That being said, I guess the motivational nature of the title track "Move Yourself" is currently my favorite for the sheer driving positivity of the song. Any upcoming exciting tour dates we should know about? I'll be performing an acoustic set at the Pig 'n Whistle in Hollywood on March 9th at 9:00pm. You can also catch my set at the historic Java Joe's (now called The Backdrop) in San Diego on March 28th from 8:00pm-10:00pm. We still tour the whole state and you can find more show dates on joshrosenblumband.com

  • Perion Shares A Piece Of His Heart In His Latest “In Love”

Born Jerome Andrea Hunter from Pensacola, Florida, Perion has always been heavily influenced by music. Growing up in a home where his parents collected music and played music all the time, Perion fell in love with the Motown Sound. As a teen he started rapping and making beats for local artist which soon caught the attention of Former Light Weight Boxing Champ Roy Jones Jr. In 1999 Perion signed to Roy Jones Jr.’s label Body Head Entertainment as an artist and music producer. During his time there he worked with various major artist in the industry like Dave Hollister, Petey Pablo , Mystikal, Scarface, Mike Jones, Lil Flip, Bun B, the late Mr. Magic, Choppa Style, Snoop Dogg, Lloyd, and many others. He also landed his first Billboard Hit in 2002 with the hit song “That Was Then” on Roy Jones Jr’s Round One album featuring Dave Hollister, himself and Hahz The Rippa. The song made it to number 2 on billboard. After his contract ended in 2005, Perion relocated to Atlanta, GA. to further his career as a music producer and artist. In January of 2019, Perion decided to drop his first single as part of his New Years resolution and in February he released a song dedicated to his wife LaRese entitled “In Love” which is the song we are tuning into! This song is filled with so much love and even history. Huge homage to B.I.G. with this instrumental. There is definitely a spin on it and it gives it that RnB vibe. I love the twist he adds but it still holds true to that old school sound I remember. The piano gets me in this as well. So subtle but such a beautiful note in the song. I am not mad at this love song at all. It’s that perfect little balance of soul/rnb and hip-hop with an impeccable sound. I can hear the true love within the lyrics and passion through his vocals. What a killer song! Be sure to catch "In Love" here. Catch up with Perion on his Instagram and Twitter. Get to know Perion through our interview questions below! #BuzzMusic Hey there! Could you kindly introduce yourself to our readers? My Name is Jerome Hunter, but professionally I am known as Perion. Over your history of composing music, what has been the most life changing moment you have experienced? Getting my first commercially released, billboard charting song and video with me being featured in it and on that song. The song was for former Light Heavy Weight Boxing Champion Roy Jones Jr. called "That Was Then" and it featured Dave Hollister on the hook and Me , Roy, and my former label mate Hahz Tha Rippa. It made it to number 2 on billboard. What made you want to create a song dedicated to your wife? Love , Honor, and Gratitude. I wanted to celebrate her and show her off to the world. The cover is an actual picture from the day we got married. A lot of times we can buy gifts and flowers to show how we feel, but to me this song is priceless! It can be sold, but not  as a duplicate. its an original. One of a kind like she is to me! And I get to be as playful in this song with her as she does with me when we play and joke around like were just dating. I love the choice of the old school B.I.G. beat homage. What made you go with this sound? The original artist of that song is Sylvia Striplin. She was Roy Ayers artist. I grew up on Roy Ayers music because my parents had a bunch of his records and her record was in that bunch too! It has a vibe. It felt like the type of record you could tell a story to. Being that Big used it too didn't hurt either. I look at myself as a young Roy Ayers/ Quincy Jones/ Berry Gordy of this generation. I love sounds and grooves! This sample has that groove! I couldn't write anything crazy over it! I wanted to keep it in the same vein and also pay homage to the originators of the groove , even with the hint of MJ. Im a Motown Sound baby, what can I say! lol Plus, my wife is from Detroit! I was just connecting the dots The Most High laid out for me. If you had any advice to give to those new and upcoming artists what would it be? Follow your own rhythm. Trendsetters set trends. Followers follow them! Love your music first! Make music you would wanna hear 20 years from now when your much more seasoned and your taste in music has matured. Be Original! Trust the groove! Bring your story to life! Be grateful and always put your heart in your music regardless of the climate. Don't dumb down your sound for a check. Your worth more and your music is God Given so that makes you priceless!

  • Brain Salt Gives Us Electric Vibes With "Monster Hands"

Brain Salt is a brooklyn based electronic rock band.  The group released its first EP called “Crowds”, in 2016 and its second EP called “Cleanin up”, in 2017. In October 2018, the band released its first single, “Monster hands” a Halloween-themed love song in two parts. The release of their record “Monster Hands” is a festive and unique love bop that we can add to our spooky valentines playlists! Their cinematic and edgy rock sound was something we found to be completely absorbable in the moment. What I liked the most about this record was its outgoing and quirky elements.  The song instantly brought a joyful smile to my face due to the delightful and vibrant aura brain salt produced. It’s the upbeat and exciting section of rock music some artists tends to ignore. Rock comes into different spectrums and this mini subgenre of fun is rarely ever displayed.  However it’s much appreciated and gives brain salt this authentic flare that could carry them a long way in this industry. Give "Monster Hands" a listen to here, and keep an eye out for their Instagram or Twitter pages. Check out Brain Salt's website to keep up to date with the band! #BuzzMusic Check out some interview questions below where Brain Salt gives us a sense of their inspiration and upcoming goals. What inspired you guys to name yourselves "Brain Salt"? Pete saw a medicine bottle labeled "Brain Salt" in a display about prohibition at a certain bourbon distillery/museum in Louisville while we were trying to figure out the band name. He felt this HAD to be the name and fortunately everyone agreed. How would you describe your music style? Dancey, jamtastic, funky progressive rock. Do you guys face any challenges in collaborating as a band? Not really. We're all pretty laid back and happy to try anything that anyone lays on the table. As a result we actually have several songs that came together within the first one or two times of playing them! Can you tell us about the creation process of "Monster Hands"? Coach originally wrote the music for the first half of "Monster Hands" as a tribute to his wife's unique dance moves (hands and arms waving up and down like a funky zombie on the prowl). He had written a separate piece of music that became, but was never intended to be, the second half of the song. However, after bringing both pieces to the band, it became clear that two pieces complimented each other perfectly. Pete then suggested lyrics that fit the vibe, and Adam worked out the vocal harmonies. Based on the Halloween and love themes, "Monster Hands" quickly became known as "a Halloween-themed love song in two parts." The song combines the best elements of Brain Salt: danceable, catchy rhythms, light-hearted lyrics, and solid rock 'n roll musicianship. As for the video: We knew that we wanted to do a video for "Monster Hands" that involved the band doing wacky things while wearing actual monster hands. We also had some vague notions of incorporating some tropes from 1990's MTV-era music videos (e.g. dancing while looking down into a camera, faded coloration, flannel shirts, all book-ended with that classic video tagline info). Additionally, we had access to three professionally trained dogs (Ernie the Aussie, Einstein the Poodle, and Izzie the Cutie). Putting those ideas together, we developed the concept of the band performing while wearing monster hands, and decided on two locations: Forest Park in Queens, and Troutman Street in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn (known for its incredible street art). We worked closely with Eric Mann, our friend and owner of Unreel Films, to plot out the video shoot, and shot the whole video in one epic day. Eric did an incredible job bringing our vision to life. He also captured some hilarious unscripted moments with the puppies that really tie the video together. What's the most momentary part of your career as a band thus far? Before we put out "Crowds," our first EP, we hadn't yet purchased our private jet. Fortunately, that was momentary. ;-) The most momentous/exciting point of our career was the release show for our first full-length record, "Brain Salt: The Album". We played one of our best shows in front of a great crowd at Mercury Lounge in New York City, complete with an amazing light show and disco ball madness. What can we expect to see from you guys in 2019? We're currently working on a few more music videos to support the album while also beginning pre-production on our next release, which will likely be our second full-length album. We're also hoping to make a live in-studio video EP from those sessions as well. And of course, plenty of shows since live Brain Salt is the best BrainSalt! We're currently expanding our live performances outside of New York City and into Connecticut, Upstate New York, Massachusetts and beyond. Current dates include: Fri. Feb. 22 at Main Street Tavern, Stratford, CT; Fri. Mar. 1 at the Bitter End in New York City; Sun. Apr. 7 at Lucy's in Pleasantville, NY; Sat. Apr. 20 (at the stroke of midnight) at Rockwood Music Hall; and Sat. May 11 at Newburyport Brewing Company in Newburyport, MA.

  • Overeasy Blesses Us With “Blink”

This 4-piece alternative Hip-Hop/R&B group out of Philadelphia, PA goes by Overeasy. This quad combines elements of Pop, Jazz, and Alternative, the band and moves seamlessly through genres to create a unique sonic experience that attracts listeners from all across the musical spectrum. Smooth and soulful vocals with extremely catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics complement the funky, hard-hitting bass and drums, and the live performance explodes with energy and color. Overeasy's goal is simple, to spread positivity and unity through music that transcends genre, and to bridge the gaps between our neighbors to help foster a society and a culture based on love. OVEREAS-AYYYYYY! I mean this group is something! "Blink" is a funky, groovy, jazzy track. I mean I have no idea where to start. The vocals for both guys in this give it two very different feels but together they work so well! This group has that feature sound within themselves and that is always going to keep the music sounding fresh. Production was done seamlessly with sounds pulling from so many different genres. I mean what a blend. Then the visual they have for this song is nuts and done with so much in mind. If you love the song you will love the video even more. Overeasy did not fail here. Listen to "Blink" here. Our interview questions below will help you get to know Overeasy a little better! Hi guys! Could you introduce yourselves to our readers? We are Overeasy. As a band we are Greg and Wes on vocals, Chris on bass and guitar, with myself (Ty) doing all production and playing keys, and Malik on drums. What made you guys think to combine all your different elements to create one? Before starting Overeasy, all of the members were pursuing other musical endeavors separately, occasionally crossing paths to help each other record or get a band together to play live. These separate projects ranged from classic rock, to hip-hop, to reggae, to alternative, and so by playing together we all got a feel and a taste for different kinds of music. As music in general began to break down barriers between genre, we realized that we WERE allowed to combine everything we listen to into one sound and that it was okay to make something that didn’t always fit into one box. We cherish this aspect of our band maybe most of all because it gives us all these opportunities to connect with different audiences and different demographics and really just more people in general. Define Overeasy in reference to the band name Greg came up with Overeasy when he started the band after he graduated college. There’s no really deep or special meaning behind it, overeasy was just something that we all thought looked and sounded cool and we kept the name as we started writing the Moods EP. The song “Blink” has some crazy dope sounds and an even crazier dope visual. How did the concept for the video come about? So the concept for the “Blink” video came from our friend and creative collaborator Diamond Holland. She had begun helping us out with social media management around the time we booked the director, Bradley Atom, to shoot it. I had worked on videos with Bradley before, and we knew that he was great at taking a very vague idea and turning it into something great on the spot, and that’s exactly what he did. We all sat around Wes’s girlfriend’s apartment after taking out every piece of furniture, ordered mad pizza, and bounced a ton of different ideas off of each other, filmed them, messed around with a bunch of different lights, then did it again and again for the entire day. The end result is what you see now and we really couldn’t be happier with it. Do you guys write your own music? All of our music is written by us. The writing process typically starts with creating a beat or a rhythm or a melody with Logic, Chris adding his parts on guitar or bass, Wes and Greg coming in to finish off vocals. We write and track just about everything in our living room. Since adding Malik on drums, we now take everything we track at home and bring it to our rehearsal space so that we can rework it for a live setting and really make the music come to life. What's next for the band through 2019? 2018 was very good to us. Our last EP, Moods, brought us a lot of positive feedback and constructive criticisms that helped guide the band while creating our newest release, House Plant, which we released in the beginning of February 2019. Our main concern now is to show this EP to as many people as possible in whatever way we can. We’re already working on getting another video shot, and will be announcing a lot of great shows very shortly. Connect with Overeasy on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. #BuzzMusic

Evol Walks’ hard edge takes its inspiration from the giants of heavy music, from AC/DC to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Joan Jett, Stone Sour and Monster Magnet, and gives it a modern tweak. Tuning into their latest track “Our Time Is Now”. What a powerhouse song! I am truly amazed but the power and strength in this song and the vocals from a FEMALE! Go us! But it’s so dope that she’s backed by such an amazing band. Together this band really does have that it thing! The drums are perfection then we have got all the strings plucking away. The video gives you crazy visuals that are one you would have to definitely see for yourself. There is a bounce to this track where her vocals and the instruments are playing a fun game with each other throughout then it’s like they meld together at certain points. Her vocal runs are insanely intense and give us everything for a new age rock ‘n’ roll band! Check out "Our Time Is Now" on Youtube. • Samo Million Releases "Blessings"

Lesly Sam who goes by the stage name “Samo Million” released his latest single titled “Blessings”. “Blessings” begins with a melodic rap instrumental before Samo Million begins to rap about how he’s waiting for his time to come and his day to arrive where he shines. “I’m just waiting on my blessings blessings blessings, I’m just waiting on my time time time” he sings in the hook. What’s relatable about this song is that many if not all of us has our own specific goals and dreams in life where we’re constantly working daily to achieve. He touches base on the goal-oriented and career driven mindset our society has and it’s why it’s the perfect record to feel more motivated in accomplishing the dream you’re longing for. It’s the musical metaphorical representation of hardwork and patience mixed with cool autotune, a sweet melody and a nice lyrical delivery. It’s the perfect vibe to play in your car radio on a nice freeway drive to collect your thoughts and think about the future that’s ahead of you. Catch Samo Million's "Blessings" here, and get to know the artist better through our interview questions below! Hi there, care to introduce yourself to our readers? All my Kings and Queens say Yoooooo!!! Hopefully y’all respond Yooooooo LOL. I go by SamoMillion I’m a songwriter, artist from Lil’ Haiti in Miami Dade County. Do you recall the first song you’ve ever created? If so what was it about? Yes. The song was about broken promises. Basically, at the that time my middle school girlfriend had betrayed me and started dating my so called friend. Let’s just say that friendship ended immediately. How do you lyrically emote when writing a song? I follow the tempo and I have to be feeling what I am writing about or its not going to sound right when I record it! I’m all about the emotion of the production. And that’s what drives me to express myself creatively. How impacting is your single “Blessings” to you? Wow! Every time I listen to it I ask myself did I really record this song. Damn, I really wrote this jewel. Sometimes when I fall short or stop believing in myself. I press play and man I glow up. I wrote “Blessings” to remind myself that these hard moments are only preparing me to be closer and more acceptant of my Blessing. What else can we look forward too from Samo Million? I’m pushing the envelope right now a lot of new sounds that I’m experimenting with. I’m really trusting my process and understanding that being an artist is not just not about me. But, about the right energy that I’m giving my audience. I want my artistry to help get others get thru whatever moment they are going thru good or bad. I just ask that you press play and feel the emotions I put out.  I want to leave a legacy or a mark on the world that can’t be erased. Connect with Samo Million on Instagram. #BuzzMusic
