Listen to “Name Been Ringing” here and read more with Marvleen’s Dream in our exclusive interview below! Welcome to BuzzMusic Christian! Where are you from? How does your city affect who you are as an artist/producer? My name is Christian also known as Marvleen's Dream. I was born in Eldoret, Kenya moved to the states when I was like 6 years old. pretty much grew up in Columbus, Ohio til I was like 17 when I moved to Cincinnati and I've been out here ever since. being born from Africa you just see the world different. you can cry over spilled milk and there's bigger fish to fry. Just seeing those hardship as a kid and just seeing everything my mother went thru as an only parent really inspired me to continue our family's legacy and make not only them proud but myself as well. 95% of my family is still in Kenya till this day, its a beautiful country. I went back to live there for a year when I was 14-15. It was an acid trip without being on acid because I was this Americanized boy who was really African and I just had an identity crisis that I had to eventually overcome and be proud off. I'm from the source and I'm proud to know where I came from. most people have to use ancestory or 23 and me, etc just to trace their heritage and its just different when you know where your from, and what tribe and being a dual citizen I can be here and there. Can you tell us more about Marvleen’s Dream and how this project came to fruition? I named my company and artist name after my late sister Marvleen so I would always take it seriously. she's one of my guardian angels and will always be a light in my life. I've always been an artist, I love to draw, sculpt, and paint and even went to college for fine arts. Eventually just being around friends in Cincinnati who were making music I feel in love with the process on how you can express yourself thru different mediums. my love for music has always been there of course, just being a 90s baby that whole era was just authentic and real. so when I try to make to music I just try to make good music, nothing for the hype just something smooth and feel good. something I would vibe to and be inspired off of. What was the creation process like for “Name Been Ringing”? Have you worked with Yung Heir before? Can we expect more collaborations in the future? "Name Been Ringing" was something that happened by chance. My boy Rakz Fifth is one of the most talented producers and he happens to be in cincy. I usually reach out to him if I'm having difficulties with trying to get my point across with the beats so he's always blessing me with beat collabs and knowledge about the music industry. one day I was one Instagram just dm artist's that inspired me around my area and yung heir responded, I sent him out some beats and nothing was the same. That's the homie its only a matter of time before we drop some other gems. When Marvleen's Dream first started I was just doing pop up shows for my paintings, that turned into a clothing line and from there I started doing music and trying to become an entrepreneur thru other investments. What's next for Marvleen's Dream? I always feel like I'm on the bottom so I guess the only way is up god willing. I want to do everything that involves art and inspire as much people in the world that I can to follow their dreams and be smart. trust that gut feeling and be safe. I want to take music seriously. Kanye and Jay z are my heroes in the game, their pretty much my spirt animals being ying and yang. Eventually I would like to start writing lyrics and drop my own songs but for now I just want to produce good music and connect those dots and maybe drop an album before 2020. Stay connected! www.instagram.com/where.is.marvleensdream #BuzzMusic

- Exclusive Interview: Jane N’ The Jungle Are Ready To Rock Los Angeles, Live At The Viper Room
We're happy to have you here with us Jane N' The Jungle! Super cool name by the way. What inspired the band name? Thank you for having us!! Thank you, the name was given to me by people saying I reminded them of a "Jane" and the Jungle character. Quiet and shy but then on stage having a boisterous presence. Let's talk about your music! What would you consider the major themes your songs focuses around? Where do you draw most of your songwriting inspiration from? We like to focus our writing on truth and shining light on difficult subjects such as abuse, teen violence, depression, bullying, sexual harassment, heartache...etc. Music is a healing way we can emote and express ourselves whether as the writer or listener being able to relate. Our inspiration gets pulled from many different sources, some from within and others from our day to day lives in society and the situations that surround us. We hear that you're releasing an anticipating record titled "Concrete Jungle" on September 13th! What can we expect from this? What were some challenges you face in the creation of this record? We are so excited for the release of our first full length record set to release on Sept 13th! It's been about 1.5 years in the making spilling our hearts and souls into this project and can't wait to finally share it with you all! We took our time making this record which allowed us to focus and work out the challenges that would arise. For the most part the challenges were easy to overcome, the main one being financials, which Ford Motor Company was able to help sponsor the record. We never had any issues on our content or vision, we were always very clear on what we wanted to create and how we wanted to do it. We were very fortunate how everything fell into place. In what ways does "Concrete Jungle" serve as a reflection of "Jane N' The Jungle"? I immediately knew I wanted to write a song named "Concrete Jungle" after someone made a joke about how I was Jane living in the "Concrete Jungle" not a real Jungle. It took almost five years to finally write it after a writing session one day, which later became our title track! Knowing you have an upcoming performance this Friday at The Viper Room! What can the audience anticipate from it? Do you have any pre-stage traditions you do as a band? We are going to ROCK and have a good time!! Our shows are all about having fun and sharing a little piece of ourselves on stage. I will have some unique rock style fashion and makeup done before the show, maybe get some matcha tea with the guys. Sometimes we like to go shopping for show outfits on Melrose before the show. We'll usually all have dinner together before or after our set. What's the biggest obstacle you face with live performances? How do you overcome these obstacles? We LOVE live performances! Our music is best experienced live. You show up and it's rock n roll.... What would you consider the most fulfilling moment in a live performance for you as a band? Sharing a unique moment in time as a band together on stage. Any specific songs you're looking forward to performing this Friday Jane N' The Jungle? "Concrete Jungle" of course! "St. Josephine" is another one that has been fun... I love them all. What's next for you? We will release our full length record "Concrete Jungle" on September 13th 2019! We are booking shows and planning out our schedules for next year. Maybe getting into the studio again... Listen to Jane N’ The Jungle here! - Check Out Prynce P’s Latest And Final Single “Reloaded”
After releasing the biggest Hip-Hop compilation out of Dallas, Texas in 2016, featuring Hip-Hop legends like Paul Wall, Lil Flip, Spice 1 and more, Prynce P decided to get back to the drawing board and work on 3 more singles before retiring the microphone. The third and final single which he named, “Reloaded” showcases something different from Prynce P. Instead of the typical 16 bars per verse, he decided to put 2 (24 bars) featuring 3 MC’s on each verse. Prynce P knew that this track had to be special so he hand-picked some of his favorite Dallas rappers to collaborate with him on this single. Besides himself, he featured: Flexinfab, Flower Child, DQ Hampton, Eclipse Darkness, Motian, GSpook, IQ Muzic, & Tony Ballard Jr. Produced by: Cloak Beats & Billy Syn at The Valley of the Kings Studio, “Reloaded” was released on his birthday, July 31st, and within the first week of its release, it has already been on 2 radio stations. Laced with heavy hip-hop lyricism and soulful instrumentals, “Reloaded” is bending the rules of hip-hop all over the place. The brilliant musical chaos sheds lights on the versatility and creativity of Prynce P’s mind. The catchy hook includes smooths female vocals and an addictive riff while the verses feature flawless lyricism and precise flow from all 8 artists. They talk about real life experiences and dive into a retrospective story at their inner trials and tribulations. The backbeat demands attention as the explosive collaboration takes center stage. We hate to see Prynce P retire, but with an outro like this it becomes more bearable. PrynceP has poured his emotions and soul into every track he puts down. I highly recommend you check out “Reloaded” and the rest of Prynce P’s impressive repertoire. Listen to “Reloaded” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome back to BuzzMusic Prynce P! What do you hope listeners take away from your music? This is a very interesting question. Hmmm, I’ll have to say, awareness. What is your new track “Reloaded” all about? How did your collaboration with this diverse group of artists come to fruition? My life, just like everyone else’s, has been a roller coaster ride. I have been through hell and I have also witnessed heaven on earth. We all get knocked down by life’s twisted scenes but what matters is to get back up, reload and move forward. To me, life is as good as you make it and having the right attitude can make a huge difference on the way that you live. As of the featuring artists, these are some of my favorite rappers out of Dallas who are currently making a lot of noise in the Dallas Hip-Hop scene. When I choose an artist, I study them for months. I attend their shows, purchase their music and I usually go to lunch or dinner with them to feel their vibes. When everything feels right, I book a session at the studio and have them record their verse. I am highly OCD when it comes to my personal projects, so a lot goes into making a song for me. What do you think sets you apart from other hip-hop artists? My voice… It may sound funny, but I have been offered to do those late night “sex” talks where ladies call and pay to speak to the operator haha. Your songs have a very powerful lyrical presence. What’s your writing process like? I personally write all my music while driving. I play the beat, drive around, freestyle until I like something that I say. I then record it on my phone and memorize it. It sounds weird but I honestly have no clue what may come out of my mouth when I am working on a song. I tend to surprise myself at times but for me, driving opens my mind much more than to sit in a room or studio writing. You mentioned this is your final single before retiring the mic. What’s next for Prynce P? Maybe the 1-900 Sex talks haha just kidding, but I am working towards creating commercials, doing voice overs and working on having my own podcast. - Equipped With A New Wave Hip-Hop Sound, Toon Drops “The Moon Is Falling”
Residing in Atlanta, young up and comer Toon (The Only One Noble) Kino is bending the rules of contemporary hip-hop. Producing and rapping since 14, Toon blends influences from a diverse range of sources. His inspirations include video games and various artists. Toon seeks to inspire and urge people to step out of themselves and do what makes them happy. Toon recently released his newest banger “The Moon Is Falling” and I’m bumping it on repeat. He’s got the talent and ear for savory beats to excel in this game. “The Moon Is Falling” reeks of self confidence is about Toon’s journey to the top, speeding by the same-old mainstream sound on his way up. His energy truly shines in this retrospective track that lets us explore Toon’s inner thoughts. “The Moon Is Falling” is in your face and unapologetic with a twist. Experimental and authentic, “The Moon Is Falling” highlights the retro and modern fusion of sounds behind Toon’s bars. The production quality is incomparable and the back beat is addicting and mellow. I’m adding “The Moon Is Falling” to my summer playlist and I highly recommend you do the same. Stay on the lookout for Toon! Listen to “The Moon Is Falling” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Hi Toon! Can you start by telling our readers and fans about your upbringing into music? When did you realize it was your passion? What’s up, thanks for having me, I’m honored. I got into music being a kid and watching my family make music at home. From there I started writing and freestyling my own little goofy stuff and would sometimes rap for people at my school. I used to do little talent shows and the passion came after seeing how people would cheer for me when the song was over, I love that feeling. What’s the meaning behind the lyrics of “The Moon Is Falling”? How do you want listeners to interpret this track? The lyrics are a little peephole into my mind, but I didn’t want to get too deep. When I originally produced the track I was listening to see what vibe would fit without being too out there, you know? As far as interpretations go it’s up to you. Who are your top three musical influences? Why? Lord that’s a hard one. In no particular order, Tyler The Creator, Asap Rocky, and definitely Childish Gambino. Tyler’s music goes beyond rap and I respect that he never lets trends effect the kind of music he makes. Rocky is a chameleon of music, he blends his style together well no matter what he’s making. Gambino can do anything and he never allows himself to be boxed in. What challenges have you faced as an up and coming artist? How have you overcome those challenges? As an artist the biggest challenge I’ve faced is probably wondering if people would like my music or not. I always felt that the stuff I made would either be too weird or maybe the beats I made weren’t always the best. Recently though I just started saying “Do I like this?”. I stopped caring wether people liked my stuff or not, I focused on what I liked and let it go from there. What’s next for you Toon Kino? I’m going all out until I get what I want. Sold out shows, my name next to my inspirations, maybe the world. Yeah, the world sounds good. Stay updated with Toon's recent releases via Instagram! #BuzzMusic

Welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you start by introducing yourself and telling us how you got started making music? What's up world! I'm CHO$EN ON3 Studio Addikts Entertainment's first recording artist. I take a lot of pride in saying that. For me, it's motivational knowing somebody believes in you, even if, it's just you believing in yourself. I was bred in Georgia, Raised in Indiana. Different styles and genres of music were always in my Environment. I'm grateful because I didn't notice how much of an impact it had on me at the time. I started freestyling when I was 9 after watching my cousin spit a dope story off the top of his head I wanted to try it. A few years later I wrote my first song. I was motivated after My brother, who now goes by the artist name Ciddyboy South, showed me a remake he made of pastor Troy's Do It. Made me wonder what I could create if I took the time to write my lyrics down. Boom! 11yrs old, wrote a song, it sucked, but I was proud of myself because now I knew I could do it, but could I get better? Wanting to improve myself, wanting to Master my craft Writing changed from a hobby to a habit, to my passion. Can you dive into more details of the lyricism in “I Duzzit”? I Duzzit can be described as motivational in a sense. Initially, I wrote it to remind myself to stay focused, stay on track. We all know that no matter what you do there are people in this world with negative intentions, negative energy, negative things to say about you or what you believe in. I used to respond with anger so instead of giving them my time and energy I wrote the song I Duzz it. From the start of the song "Yup, Gotta give you one to hate on." I'm addressing all the doubt and negativity whether it's from people you know, strangers, or even within yourself. The rest of the track explains that I have goals and things I need to accomplish and nothings gonna stop me from achieving those goals. When you have faith in something you can't doubt it. Which I also sum up in the chorus. "Even when they doubt I do it." I love the song through and through. Who are your musical influences? How do you draw inspiration from them? Being introduced to so many styles and genres of music early my inspirations are endless. Ciddyboy South will always be number one pick because he inspired to even consider rapping and my first outlet into rap/hip hop. DMX I related to heavy because I felt he was speaking for me at times. I'm not a big dude but I have a lot of heart and a lot of fight. I love the feeling I get even today when I play his track. The Ruff Ryder's, Ludacris, Bone Thugs N Harmony, OutKast there are so many I really can't name them all. Even today I'm getting put on to artist I never knew of becoming a fan and gaining inspiration. When I was little I used to pretend I was on a song with some of my favorites. I would try to freestyle a verse like I was that person. Then I thought why try to be them? Why not create something and send a message In my way that can be listed up there with the greats if not better. I'd listen to their songs and the impact their music on me, made me want to somehow share that feeling with somebody. Hopefully, motivate someone to be the next great anything. How do you feed your passion for music everyday? I Train. I want to master this craft so I write every day, I rehearse every day, always trying to create. I love the challenge of pushing myself beyond limitation and achieving whatever task or goal I set. I listen to what other artists are working on. I talk to people and see what their viewpoints are on different life subjects. I study the history, pray, I have faith, do the work, and I trust the process. How does your upbringing and hometown help to establish who you are as an artist? I like to say I got my heart in East Point, GA. I was a shorty so a lot of my first experiences were there. Living in that environment was like a village, not literally but you know the type of neighborhood where the neighbors get permission to whoop you if you act up? That kind of vibe. It was always a lot of love around me. It taught me responsibility early. How to genuinely care about others as well as myself. You don't get that type of unity too much these days. You'll hear me say I got my pride in 219. That's Indiana. We moved there when I was early in my teens. I Fought a lot of personal battles but I learned how to stand as a man there. It's seemed like Indiana as a whole is always trying to improve, always trying to better itself, from construction to new businesses, etc. You see that in the people as well. Although, It's not a well-known place, for some reason everyone seemed to appreciate what they had and that grew on me. Have pride in the work you do and always look for ways to get better. Check out “No Love For The Streets” here and read more below in our exclusive interview. Hey Ghost Da Bandit! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you introduce yourself to our readers? How did you get started making music and decide to start releasing it? I’m Ghost Da Bandit a 22 year old rapper from Toronto ON. I made my first song with my brother at the age of 9 and knew I had a gift that I wanted to share with the world. Music has always been a therapeutic and uplifting coping tool I’ve used. I want to be able to help people in the same way it’s helped me. I decided to start releasing music in 2015 when I was introduced to my former management team. What do you hope your listeners take away from your EP “No Love For The Streets”? I hope they take away that there are other routes in life than the street life, ganglife etc. It seems every year my generation and the next is influenced more and more into the street life resulting in shootings and the deaths of young individuals who felt they had no other choice. I have a lot of friends that have died to the gang life and have lost friends to drugs and i think the message I was trying to spread with this EP is we can go anywhere we want in life and can come back from places we never thought we could. The track on this EP have a really strong lyrical and emotional presence. Can you dive into the lyrics of “When I’m Gone”? In the track “When I’m Gone” I really poured my painful experiences into it. I talk about how many people will act like they’ll be there for you through any situation but only support you if it benefits them and in fact become jealous of where you are in life when you’re doing good. I also talk about losing my family Gizzle to a gang related shooting and how I took it at the time. I explain that I’m leaving that lifestyle behind because I don’t want to lose my life, and how i never wanted to live through the things I’ve experienced but choices I made brought me there nobody else. To sum it all up, there aren’t many people in that lifestyle that truly care about you unless you’re UP, but I bet that when I’m dead they’ll talk like they were with me all along. Do you have any musical influences that helped inspire your sound on this project? Polo Gs album “Die a legend” and R2R Gutta’s project “2 Gutta”, really set the tone for me while creating this project. What’s the hip-hop scene like in your hometown? The hip hop scene in my hometown is not at its full potential and I feel that artists need to come together and focus on the music if that’s what they want to share with the world. Anthony Lee Erik brings raw energy and an indefinitely loud testimony to the magic of the underground scene and we can’t wait to see what he delivers next. Listen to “Claim The Crown” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome back Anthony! Congrats on the release of “Claim The Crown”! Tell us about some of the challenges you faced when creating this album. How long has it been in the works? Thank you, that means a lot and I hope everyone enjoys it!!! Most of the challenges that I faced were the ones I gave myself to try to come up with something special out of the gate while showing some dexterity and not just rehash some old and tired material, I mean obviously it fits in a certain genre but I wanted to add my twist to it and at the same time not make it sound too perfect with the technology we have at our disposal today - - - because then it comes off sounding too mechanical and loses that "human" element so you will hear mistakes and everything in there. This has been in the works for quite a while, a few years actually for all the stars to align and have it see the light of day in the way that I wanted it to be presented to the world. I hope everyone enjoys listening to it as much as I had creating it... How do you feed your passion for making music everyday? You do what you love and feed your passion by immersing yourself in what makes you happy (as long as it's not destructive). Since I was about 4 or 5 years old I have immersed and surrounded myself with music for as many hours out of 24 that I can...lol, I'll go to sleep listening to it, at the gym, in the car, in the house, by the pool, all have quality sound systems - - - I actually determine the purchase of any car I buy on what type of sound system it has - - - no sub in the trunk, forget it I'll pass...lol...it has to be loud enough to annoy people and make my heart beat outside of my chest!!! What’s the overall theme of your album “Claim The Crown”? Hmmm, well in the beginning it had a general theme of just making your head explode, then let you catch your breath just a little and then continue the decibel assault for a while and then bring you back gently and safely to the ground. Then as we started to work with the song order and it became something else, songs were completely, revamped and remixed to what it finally became and the theme changed to a more of a "if you're going to do something, give it your all or don't do it". Which pretty much breaks down to giving it everything you've got, no second best no matter the cost you GO FOR IT!!! Sink or swim but don't you dare half-ass it... What’s the meaning behind your track “Dirty Laundry”? How do you want the listener to feel when they hear it? Probably other than just some "dirty" blues, to just get in there and get yourself "dirty" doing something you love and even if it don't come out the way you wanted it to, you own it and call it yours. I always want the listener to feel what THEY want to feel when they hear the song, what the song means to them and trust me it's different for everyone. You might have groups of people that are like minded but I don't want them to feel something based off my opinion of what the song should be about, that's not what music is suppose to be. Not for me anyway... What’s your creation process like? Usually it's, 1.) Riff 2.) Drums 3.) Bass 4.) Lyrics 5.) Vocals 6.) Everything Else 7.) Mix 8.) Mix Again 9.) Argue about Mix 10.) Mix Again - - - hahahahaha. Honestly, I was told when I was a young pup writing songs by someone fairly well known in the music business "You don't complete a song, you abandon it" - - - 100% truth because you could honestly tweak FOREVER... I’m Layla, I’m 18 years old and I’m a new pop artist in the music industry. We loved how refreshing "Top of The Morning" made us feel! Can you explain the integral message of the song? ‘Top of the morning’ is about being happy, having no worries and living in the moment with good people around you and just having the best time really. I wanted to make music that I loved to listen to and I know my friends would love What do you hope your listeners take away from your music? So the idea behind that is summer vibes, dance music and I think that’s what makes up ‘top of the morning’. I want my listeners to feel uplifted and happy. I mean I do have songs that aren’t as upbeat as the majority of them but my main focus as an artist is to make people feel good. While curating “Top of The Morning”, did you come across any creative blocks? If you ever come across creative blocks with creating your sound, how do you typically surpass them? So this was my first time creating music and my manager Amelia McCloskey set me up with a multi-platinum producer and songwriter Darren Martyn who's worked with Tinie Tempah, M.O, Tom Zanetti etc. It was a great experience and I’ve learnt a lot from him and the way he works. It has really inspired me. I definitely had moments where I just didn’t know what to write or what to come up with. I always went back to what I wanted the outcome of the song to be like and just brainstorm things in my head. I take a lot of inspiration from other artists and their work so listening to different music and styles really opens up my mind to how I’d like my sound to be. What's next for you Layla? Back in February I wrote a whole EP of 6 tracks in about 5 days, so I’ve got so much music that I can’t wait to release. I’ve begun working with a couple of incredible DJs such as Ministry Of Sound DJ Jayli which is really exciting. I've just released Top Of The Morning which we're now up to 70k views on Youtube and over 10k views on Spotify which is amazing for my first release! Also got played on BBC introducing and DJ Sigma has been supporting the single saying they really liked it too. In September I will be touring schools around the south of England and Wales- getting myself out there and sharing my music to young people.
