Check out “Wake Up” here and read more below in our exclusive interview. Welcome to BuzzMusic Maro! Can you tell us how you got started in music? I first picked up the guitar at age 6, started singing and songwriting at 16, and made my first homemade demo at 17. Soon after I handed out my homemade demo, I stumbled over the opportunity to work with a very reputable producer in the East Village of Manhattan. Since working with them, I’ve gotten the chance to form my own unique sound and begin the journey of finding my voice. Without them, I wouldn’t be making the leaps and bounds toward improving as a singer, songwriter, and musician. Who are you musical influences? How do they inspire you? Growing up, I listened to mostly blues, classic rock and a little bit of folk: Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Jethro Tull, The Beatles, The Eagles, Boston, Journey, you name it. I was first introduced to Pop music in my early teens; back when Bastille, Aloe Blacc, Ed Sheeran and John Legend we’re blowing up in the industry. Their vocal and songwriting styles have always stuck out to me. I will forever admire them and thank them for all the rough times their music helped me get through. When I got to high school, I jumped from phase to phase in my taste in music genres. Eminem and (back to) Jethro Tull most of freshman year, Aimee Mann and Shawn Mendes during sophomore year, John Mayer and Leon Bridges my junior year, and Chris Cornell (from Soundgarden and Audioslave) my senior year; all of which have given me a new lens to look through at all of the amazing talent the industry has has to offer. My current influences include John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran, Aloe Blacc, Bastille, Alec Benjamin, Julia Michaels, Hoobastank, LANY, JOHN.k, Kylie Minogue, Bazzi, and Lauv. I’ve had them on repeat in my car for most of 2019. The individuals on my list that stick out to me are John Mayer, Chris Cornell and Alec Benjamin. Between the 3 of them, they all have such great tonality in their voices and outstanding songwriting skills. Every time I put their music on, I feel like I’m getting channeled into their shoes and reliving the story of their songs. Artists like that are incredibly special, rare gems to say the least. What does your single “Wake Up” mean to you? What was the writing process for this track? Wake Up is one of those songs that is special... but special in a “special” kind of way. With Wake Up, I combined two “love stories” into one; I like to take advantage of poetic license. My initial inspiration for writing “Wake Up” was a friend of mine, with whom I caught feelings for the second time around. It felt like De’ja Vu, only this time she was feeling it, too. So, I did what any songwriter would do: stay up til 2 am trying to construct the best way of telling my story. Ironically, when the song wasn’t quite finished yet, she introduced me to, who eventually became, my girlfriend. Even though the relationship was short lived, she gave me the inspiration I needed to write the bridge. Sometimes I think I’ll end up with a lump in my throat when I sing this song because I’m not on speaking terms with either girl, but I never do. I realize that at the end of the day, they aided me in creating a product that I’m really happy with. Thank you, both. We love your voice! Have you had any professional training? Yes I have! I’ve been working with a vocal coach from Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan. Ever since I was introduced to him through my producers, things have only gone uphill. Every time we sit at his keyboard and vocalize, I learn something new. He’s so amazing that if he wanted to teach a rock to sing, he could. What’s next for you? Currently I’m finishing up a few upcoming singles with my producers and buckling up for Nashville! I’m moving down there for a few months to look for internships in the industry. I’m on a quest to gain knowledge and learn the business of music. In my mind, the best way to learn is by first hand experience. On top of that, I’m also looking into acting classes and getting out to play as much as I can. Exposure, exposure, exposure! Keep up with Maro DeLo on social media! - Changing The Christian Pop Scene, E.K.490 Release “Todo Lo Que Eres”
Based out of Los Angeles, California, power duo E.K.490 is the artistic creation of Ethan and Kaylinn. The brother and sister culmination provides an undeniable chemistry within their sound. The Christian duo brings a new style of contemporary praises by raising the message of salvation. Since the age of 13 these eclectic siblings have been writing together and strive to change the reputation of Christian music through their contemporary pop arrangements. E.K.490’s brand new track “Todo Lo Que Eres” is solely in Spanish but that doesn’t stop us from vibing to the addicting beat and textured rhythm. Kaylinn’s finely-calibrated vocals fuse perfectly with her flawless delivery. The powerful chorus of “Todo Lo Que Eres” translates to “I feel it in my hands, I feel it in my soul, Everything that you are I wanna be”. Ethan and Kaylinn refer to their strong relationship with God in a contemporary and lighthearted way. They strive to galvanize what modern Christian pop is. “Todo Lo Que Eres” is a track that I would happily welcome on radio stations today. It has a meaningful and important message while still remaining an upbeat and fun pop song. Stay on the lookout for E.K.490, here to stay and change the music scene! Check out “Todo Lo Que Eres” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic E.K.490! What does your stage name mean? Hey Buzzmusic! Thanks for the welcome. Our stage name actually derives from my sisters and my name, which is Ethan and Kaylinn Hence the EK. The 490 is actually from a biblical verse in Matthew 18:22 were it talks about how Jesus said to forgive 70x7 which equals to 490. We love “Todo Lo Que Eres”! Can you tell us more about the meaning behind the song? So the whole essence and idea of the song was honestly to create a rhythmic, yet very valuable and encourage simple message. Sometimes to be honest the as Christians we are born into this reputation were everyone assumes that we are super goodie two shoes, where we are always trying to achieve this sense of perfection and everything else is bad. And honestly Its absolutely not. As much as people who aren’t religious or christian, we struggle just as much with everyday issues. That’s exactly what this song talks about. We are imperfect people yet loved in His eyes. We try to stay away from the stereo typical song writing of Christianity, because its so dry. What’s your writing process like together? Our writing process is honestly super spontaneous. I normally carry around with me a black moleskin in wherever I have some time, I write out lyrics or poems. But Kaylinn and I normally get together, sit in front of our piano, and just come up with melodies, and then add christian values and infuse it and we pop out songs! Who are your top musical influences? How do they help to inspire you? Our top musical influences, include Marcos Witt, Lead, SG Lewis, and a few others. They inspire us to help fuse together what our sound is. a uniqueness of vocal, musical, and heart all into one mixing bowl. Keep up with E.K 490 on social media! SANNI is a Texas based artist with a soulful R&B touch. The Brooklyn native has been creating music for a number of years, and has spent time exploring how his faith and everyday circumstances influence his artistry. SANNI began his musical journey into the industry straight out of High School at the age 18. He was signed to a record label known as I REP JC RECORDS, and within the last year became an independent artist. Tell us about how your Christianity and connection with Jesus influences your music? Being a Christian is a lifestyle. Because my lifestyle represents having a relationship with Christ, it transcends through my music as well. My goal is to utilize my gifts to impact the youth, this generation, and non-believers; with edification, light, and hope through music. Creating music has always been my passion, but now my music has substance. What’s the meaning behind “Far Away”? How do you want it to be interpreted by your listeners? “Far Away” describes a feeling we all can relate too. In this case, I felt like I wasn’t close to God, because of my own selfish desires. I remember staying up all night waiting for God to give me this song. I knew it was God because I didn’t write a single lyric, the words were already in my heart. “Far Away” began transforming my life because of my transparency about my flesh, and my heart to live for God. The second verse says “my mind tells me yes, my heart tells me no”. I want everyone to know, what’s in our hearts outflows through our mind and our actions. The Bible reminds us “search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts, see if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting”, psalms 139:23-24. We have to intentionally choose to pursue the things of God. We may feel “Far Away” but he’s always near waiting for us. Can we expect to see more collaborations with Kristin Baker? Your voices match so well together! Thank you! Kristin Baker has such a unique voice. The first time I heard her voice I was completely blown away. I love working with talented local artist in Fort Worth so we will see what the future holds. What are some challenges you’ve faced as an artist? How do you overcome those challenges? As an independent artist, it feels like all forces are against me because my team and I are doing everything ourselves. I understand why many artist end up signing to a label. Figuring out how to gain exposure, promote, funds, market, and social media has all been a challenge. We overcome all obstacles because God is our strength. I want to encourage those who are facing a hard time to never quit and pray through the process. Stay connect with Sanni through his socials! - JUNO Pulls You In “Closer”
Athens-born singer/ songwriter Juno began her journey as a classical soprano in local conservatories almost a decade ago before crossing over to modern genres. She began to explore her own creative side while studying harmony, music theory, and songwriting. And her songs? Well, let’s get into that! Artists have this special ability to create an entire environment through their music and that’s exactly what JUNO accomplished with the release of her single “Closer”. If you listen to “Closer” one of the main things you notice is how this record has minimal vocals and lyrics. Instead, much of the music happens in the atmospheric production. This theatrical arrangement and cinematic vibe created a super cool augmented and dramatic setting that matched the expansion in dynamics in this track. You can tell JUNO uses a significant amount of her outside influences alongside her background in classical music to fuse it all together with this sensational piece. JUNO knows exactly how to create her own formula of music. She produces a riveting song that you just can’t help but love. JUNO is undeniably an intriguing artist with a retrospective touch to her contemporary fused and intellectual productions. Take a listen to this detailed hit for yourself! And let us know if you feel closer to JUNO. Check out "Closer" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Thank you for sharing your music with us JUNO! Growing up in Athens seems to be a super cool upbringing! In what ways have your growing environment impacted your music? Thank you Buzz Music for this feature! I guess growing up in Athens , a city caught between the East and the West, meant that I was exposed to many different colors, elements and cultural stimuli. It’s a vibrant city with a deep historical impact and a never-ending shift. It certainly makes me wanna go places but always return to her. In a sense, I feel like my music has that familiar homey vibe but also wants to take you to many different places. We sensed a significant amount of worldly elements to your single “Closer”. Where did you find most of your inspiration for this song? The beat was originally named ‘Dracula’ and as I was making it, I would imaging it being the soundtrack to a fantasy-driven forbidden kind of love. The beat was morphed before I wrote the lyrics so the words just followed naturally as I immersed myself into the track. I loved it from the very start! What would you say is the direct meaning behind “Closer”? How does it fit into the theme of your EP Project? The direct meaning behind Closer is of course the fact that I know that I’m about to do something very questionable , but I go ahead and do it anyway, while the whole world is watching. It has a very cinematic feel to it. I believe that’s the common ground for all the tracks on this work. There’s always a picture behind the music. Aside from “Closer”, what other songs from your EP do you find to be super extravagant and one of your personal favorites? Next most favorite is Automation. I went for that deep emotive vibe and whenever I listen to it, it almost feels like it’s not from this world or from this time. It feels very distant like the future but also very emotional like an old experienced soul. I love all of them. Each was a unique experience for me while creating them. What’s next for you JUNO? More music, pick up a new instrument (perhaps the sax), aiming for a second fully self produced EP by the end of this year, do a few live shows! Hopefully I will be able to grow more from this amazing, beautiful process and just enjoy the ride while at it! Stay connected! - RED Has The Song Of The Summer With “Hater”
Who is RED? He’s a rapper from Ontario Canada who first got into hip-hop by listening to Big L’s song titled “Put It On” when he was simply just 14 years old. During his freshman year, RED was writing lyrics and making diss tracks towards the students that picked on him in high school, he’s influenced by rappers like Swizzy B, Russ, Sheperd, Chris Webbly and more. After graduating from college, he began practicing his flow to beats alongside mixing and mastering his own music. As he developed over time as an artist. He gained quite the recognition from many people. Although he has made it very far, RED continues to be a self-made rapper cause he doesn't have a team to help him get far and he mostly does everything on his own except for producing his own beats. So we took a listen to this important artist and his skillsets by checking out the release of his recent release titled “Hater” completely recorded, and remastered by RED himself. This song was super catchy with a nice hook that rode the wave of the beat. Everything was efficient and fit the entire aesthetic of the youth today which is Fun, Outgoing, and Charismatic. While listening to this song you’re bound to want to get hype, but you’re also enjoying how this record truly catches a vibe for you. RED self-producing “Hater” demonstrated how he’s a true contender from the new era of hip-hop. This new culture of rap where people are learning to become a multitude of different artistic measures is what this promising star represents. And if you don’t like what you hear? well, you’re just a hater! Check out "Hater" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic RED! How would you describe the journey for you so far? What’s been the most monumental moment in your career? The journey for me so far has been great, I’ve had a lot of ups and downs from buying equipment and taking time after graduating college to decide If wanted to rap. At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do music since I had felt like I wouldn’t get listened too but then I realised that it’s all about my output verses the numbers. Obviously numbers are important so I can understand what my audience wants. My music is personal to me and I want to make the music that I want to make. The most monumental moment in my career is one of my favourite rappers named Hi-Rez responded to my comment on his YouTube channel and liked my comment on Instagram, it was a amazing moment since one of the rappers I look up too and listen too noticed me and took time out of his day to respond to me. What are some challenges you may face? How do you overcome these obstacles and learn from them? The challenges I may face are getting clowned for wanting to rap since I didn’t rap about people liked such as money, cars, women, drugs and violence and being told people like me shouldn’t be rapping at all and I look like someone who doesn’t rap. I overcame the obstacles by ignoring the comments and criticism I got for doing what I like since it isn’t relevant to me at all. As Gary Vee said “ feel sorry for the person that took time outta their day to send you hate” those words it self really made me realise that it’s not my fault it’s theirs since they took time to say that to me and each person had a different way of thinking about me and wanting to rap. Let’s talk about your music! “Hater” was a hit! What was the meaning behind it? The meaning behind Hater is that in the earlier days of my career I had brought out a remix to Lil Xan’s track Decieved and I got a lot of hate for it so I used that as inspiration to write Hater since the people who hated my track weren’t rappers at all and were jealous of me rapping better than they thought. So after that I took a month off to invest in equipment, I got a DM from a producer offering free beats if I subscribed to him so I did and got the beat from him and started writing to it and it came up with Hater. I had made a earlier version of it without a hook and it sounded really distorted since it wasn’t mixed properly and Hater is an authentic RED track since that’s how RED wants to sound. In what ways can you relate to the lyrics in “Hater”? I can relate to the lyrics in Hater as in the 2nd verse I say “ if you spend your time Hating you’ll never get far” if your hating on someone for whatever reason you won’t get far with it since all your doing is talking bad about them and it won’t get you anywhere in life so cause of that bar I didn’t hate on any other rappers again. Summer is here! What’s your summer goal RED? My summer goal is to release more music and maybe bring back making remix’s to other songs. I also want to connect with my fans since I appreciate every single one of them for supporting me and listening to me. I plan on going around the city to enjoy the great weather and I plan on meeting my biggest supporter who is a YouTube vlogger shout out to Adeel from Adeel’s World, he’s been there from the beginning of time and to meet my producer AWOL Productions , Shout out to you AWOL Productions you taught me a lot a lot about the game. Keep up with RED through social media! Instagram.: www.instagram.com/red_theonerulla #BuzzMusic
- Transcend Through Time In Cello Miles Latest, “Voodoo”
Artist and poet Cello (Cell-O) Miles brings his extensive knowledge and truth to the music industry with his newest EP “Time With Miles”. Released May 2019, “Time With Miles” focuses on the fact that time is a man-made perception. With this tape Cello Miles allows people to create their own understanding of how to use their time and how to navigate across roads to find their path in life. The 5-track EP features “Right On Time”, “Voodoo”, “Connection (Interlude)”, “Run On” and “Almost Over”. Residing in the Bay Area of Northern California, 23 year old Cello Miles pulls heavy influences from the Neo-Soul genre. He transcends inspirations across time from Langston Hughes to Andre 3000. My personal favorite and extremely powerful track off of “Time With Miles” “Voodoo” boasts Cello Miles further knowledge and understanding of our concept of time. It’s as if you’re spending time with Cello Miles as well as noticing that time is constant just like miles on a road. Original and soulful, Cello Miles authenticity is evident throughout his skilled lyricism. “Voodoo” talks about the reality of motivated people moving in the fast lane, while others stay sleeping. Cello Miles exudes a confidence and established swagger. The jazzy and smooth R&B undertones to this track keep the listeners on their toe’s. Miles always delivers tracks to galvanize and inspire the music industry today. His individual sound is alluring and authentic and we can’t get enough! Stay on the lookout for Cello Miles! Check out “Voodoo” here and the EP “Time With Miles” and read more below in our exclusive interview! Hey Cello Miles, welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you tell us more about your upbring and how you got started in the music industry? I grew up with a father from Detroit and a mother from San Francisco. My parents have versatile taste due to being from such diverse musical communities. My REAL first and middle name are from Jazz artist. Pretty much, I was consumed by R&B and Jazz music dating back from the 30’s to early 2000’s. I began writing poetry about 10 years old and that lead to rapping around 14 years old, Lil Wayne and Biggie are the first rappers when I was a kid that I really understood their metaphors. They changed my outlook, and influenced me to begin rapping cause of their word play. All in all, the art form and love for rhythm and poetry pulled me in. Who/what inspires you to make music everyday? I only know how to express myself best through words. Honestly, anything could inspire me to make music. I could be driving on the road, and see someone holding a sign that leads into me thinking of a 4-bar rhyme. But at the core of all it, wanting to be respected by the legends of the rap industry as well as do right by the culture, that’s what inspires me. I’m a student of the game, and I’m laying the foundation to get there with the greats. Can you tell us about the meaning behind the lyrics in “Voodoo”? Yeah, it was a time where I was battling myself about how I want to curate my EP. The song is about pushing though the adversity and negative thoughts that you may have or even how others perceive you. So the title came from me interpreting other people’s perceptions as Voodoo, metaphorically, their thoughts can possibly control your actions in the physical form. I just want to say to everyone to persevere and don’t allow others dictate how you maneuver through life. Take risks, us as humans aren’t here physically for a long time so find something you love and try to commit to it. What’s the overall theme of your EP “Time With Miles”? This is my first EP, it’s a conceptual and melodic body of work that takes you on a ride through time. The phrase Time With Miles is as if you are spending time with I (Cello Miles) as well as watching time pass by like miles on a road. Time is a perception of your own reality and with this tape I allow people to create their own understanding of how to use their time and how to navigate across roads to find their path in life. I wanted to create something that each song could be played at anytime of the day and still be able to feel the vibe. My cover art is the personification of my EP, look deeply and you will find symbolism. What’s next for you, Cello Miles? I’m currently working on another body of work, and doing shows in the Northern California Area. Visuals from my first EP and upcoming singles will be dropping soon. Stay in touch BuzzMusic I would love to come down and do a show in LA. Connect with Cello Miles on social media www.instagram.com/cellomiles www.twitter.com/CelloMiles
- Get Ready For An Multi-Dimensional, Ambient Dance Hit! nÜ nÜ Featuring Molly Aspinall In “Antidote”
The combination of bombatic drums and synth sounds of hard-hitting EDM genres with the sensibility and stylings of modern pop music existing seems to be imaginary correct? Incorrect! Once we introduce you to nÜ nÜ, who is nÜ nÜ? It’s the project created by music producer Cody Taylor who birthed it from a desire to collaborate with multiple different artists from various backgrounds. He was seeking to expand his musical horizon. One of nÜ nÜ’s latest releases “Antidote” seemed to be too good to be true! The atmospheric production that’s equipped with outerworldly elements and a hazy yet eclectic dance vibe that caters to the EDM roots , lifts its listener up, and carries them through the song while the poignant vocals by artist Molly Aspinall adds the icing to the cake. Her soft-like, breathy, and sensual vocal tone complements the entire energy of “Antidote” to its fullest extent. The transitional break between a melodic and light-weight mood until the hook where the song breaks into a more danceable altitude shows a significant amount of unique skill in the production of nÜ nÜ. Of course, this multi-dimensional record wouldn’t be what it was if it wasn’t for a dynamic vocalist like Molly Aspinall! “Antidote” was everything and more. Listen to "Antidote" here and get to know more about nÜ nÜ below! Thanks for joining us nÜ nÜ. Before you became what is known to us as nÜ nÜ, how would you describe your music career prior? Hey! Thanks so much for having me. So I've always been quite eclectic in my music consumption. I like listening to a lot of rap and hip hop, pop music, folk music, rock, and even classical. I think this has greatly affected how I decide to write and create my productions, and I find I still create a wide variety. I just do my best to decide which songs fit into that nÜ nÜ vibe. Your stage name is super unique to us. What’s the story behind it? Actually, funnily enough it comes from a Kid Cudi hit "Day n Night". I've always been a big Cudi fan (still very much underrated in my opinion, shout out Kids See Ghosts!), and the lyrics in that song really spoke to me. Slow mo, (what, what) When the tempo slows up and creates that new, new (what, what) He seems alive though he is feeling blue (what, what) The sun is shining man he's super cool, cool It probably helped that back then I was the epitome of a lonely stoner. hahaha I just went with the umlauts to be different, and I thought it might be difficult to search for "new new" on Google. Let’s talk about “Antidote”. What was the most challenging factor for you in creating this song? Hmmm. Good question. I definitely think it was getting the drop sections just right. I think I ended up rewriting them 4 or 5 times. Each time I did it got a little bit more difficult to know what should happen in them. I glad I put the work in and didn't settle though. In what ways does Molly Aspinall help bring the song to life and to its vision? She was a huge inspiration to write with for lyrics and melody in the song. She has a very natural way of coming up with lyrics and melodies, and we worked really well together so that's a huge part of it! Her voice is so perfect for this kind of song, so recording the final vocals was a breeze honestly. What’s next for you? So I have a new track coming out on July 9th called "Get Ritual", and from there I have another 6 or so track to finish off. Possibly an EP coming together in late fall, but for sure much more music and collaborations on the way!! Thanks so much for the awesome questions guys. I'm really excited about the posts. Ü Let me know if this is enough stuff, or if you need anything else from me. Connect with nÜ nÜ on social media www.instagram.com/i_am_nu_nu www.twitter.com/i_am_nU_nU

The vocals are echoing and spotless, the beat is addicting, and the flute is the cherry on top of an incredible mix! Check out “Young Frankincense” and “Feeling Good” and read more below in our exclusive interview with Living Roots. Hello Travis and Logan! How did the two of you meet and decide to start making music together? I actually had a funny premonition of both of us working together before we really connected. Then after a few years of acquaintance, we danced all night at a Dirtwire show and realized how similar our love for music was and decided to work on a song shortly after. The first year of our collaborations we tentatively explored our capabilities and got an amazing response from the crowds and promoters. Moving forward we decided to include Logan in all of the songs and make it a real duo instead of having her as a featured artist, which enabled us to fully jump into soulful collaboration. How did you come up with your project name Living Roots? I got the name Living Roots when I was working in my garden planting starts and pulling weeds. I had one plant with the most vibrant and glorious root system, even though it was out of the ground it still felt so alive. Then as I thought about it, I realized that my main inspiration for making music was traveling and collaborating with people from all sorts of backgrounds and traditions. A big part of my life is traditional medicine ceremonies and indigenous wisdom, so being able to preserve those songs/prayers and add our own flavor to timeless songs has been a huge blessing. What is your experimental writing process like as a duo? Our writing process varies from song to song, but for the most part I will create an instrumental and then Logan will come in with a solid framework of poetry and melody that we shape into a full piece. On this next album release I gave her the reigns on one song from start to finish so we could get more of her vibe as the foundation. Its definitely a shared process on each song, since I produce all of the instrumentals with my array of world and acoustic instruments, rarely using samples from outside sources and often times I will have a guest musician come lay down some guitar or brass to get that natural live effect. Do you have any other covers comparable to “Feeling Good” that our readers should check out? Feeling Good is the only cover that we have worked on so far, probably because its hands down one of the best songs ever written! So we don't really have anything else in that category; However, this next album features 7 different female vocalists and is full of soul and has a very similar vibe to Feeling Good. How did the idea for “Young Frankincense” come to fruition? Young Frankincense was heavily influenced by Herbie Hancocks "Watermelon Man" and was going to be part of our next album; However, after creating more songs for that release, I realized it would be much better as a single. The name came from the fact that it went through so many changes and rearranging, it felt like a total Frankenstein piece, so to give it a little bit of the Living Roots vibe, I decided to change it to Frankincense! I’m adding “What They Want” to my summer playlist and I highly recommend you do the same. Stay on the lookout for SKY! Listen to “What They Want” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Hi SKY! Can you start by telling our readers and fans about your upbringing into music? When did you realize it was your passion? My upbringing into music was a mix of strange sounds to be honest, the first u music I’ve ever really heard was reggae my dad used to play from a friends radio station. I started to play drums at 3 and learned songs by ear, i went through music programs in elementary and middle school where i once learned how to play the violin and trumpet. I realized it was y passion around the age of 14, where i came to an awakening that I didn’t want to spend my life working for someone else. What’s the meaning behind the lyrics of “What They Want”? How do you want listeners to interpret this track? The lyrics behind What They Want, is to be interpreted as a concept, people only want anything to do with you when you have something to offer, in regards as a benefit for them. Lines like “You can’t feel my pain, see through window panes, think i lost my brain, n***** switch i go insane” emphasize how there can be situations where people pretend to emphasize with you and use you, the hook continues “What They Want From Me? Don’t Got Nothing For Them” The listener can interpret the track however they can, it’s art and can have multiple meanings. Who are your top three musical influences? Why? The only artists I can say have had an influence on me, isn’t coming from a musical aspect but more how i approached music in a sense. Those artists are; Kurt Cobain, Young Thug, & Lil Uzi Vert, just because they came into music fully being themselves and treating it as a sense of expression, the true roots of music. Also the grunge stylistic of music is something my frequency resonates with and loves creating. What challenges have you faced as an up and coming artist? How have you overcome those challenges? Personally as an up and coming artist it’s difficult recording and budgeting the different costs for things that really matter but patience is the key to universal timing. What’s next for you SKY? Next for me? Is more music, shows and collaborations, I’ve just landed in Atlanta and I’ve started recording the day of. So anyone in Atlanta booking artists, can contact me via email or Instagram.
