Listen to "In A New Way" here, and learn more about Shanta in our interview below! Care to introduce yourself to our readers? Hi everyone, My name is Shanta Fuentes! I am an independent Contemporary Christian Artist and Songwriter from Brooklyn, New York Can you give us a brief history of your musical career? I began singing and writing songs at age 6! My father sings and my mother was a professional dancer. I went to Performing Arts Middle School and Highschool, where I learned classical music. I was one of the lead singers in the youth choir / ministry at my church from age 12-16. We also toured the US and Canada during Summers. I was discovered at an open mic  by a famous Pop Music producer and  introduced to the music industry also at age 16. I learned how to write pop songs and record vocals and music professionally. We wrote many songs together, some of which are being played in Europe. Worked with various other music producers and performed throughout NYC. But unfortunately did not land a major recording contract. After that devastating period in my life , I stopped singing and writing for 7 years. Then God began speaking to my heart and called me back to singing. How did you come up with your name? Shanta is my real name. Is there a meaning behind it? I think in French it means song or to sing. Do you write your own music? Yes, I write my own song lyrics and Keyboard melodies. Can you tell us a bit about your writing style? I love to write about real life experiences. I find that with Christian music the words are often inspired by the Holy Spirit. It's a beautiful thing. We’re really into your new song "In a New Way"! Can you tell us a bit about it? Its my declaration to God that I needed Him to fill my life a fresh because I am not the person I was before and never will be again. Where did the inspiration behind the song come from? "In a new way" came out of a true supernatural moment and release. After my 7 year hiatus from music ,  I rededicated my life to Jesus. I was delivered from depression and many entanglements of the enemy. A few months later I attended a Worship concert featuring William McDowell. That night I believe that there was a special anointing imparted to me. When I went home I picked up my keyboard for the first time in years and composed the entire song with lyrics completely by myself.  It was magical,  like the prodigal child returning home. What are three things you’d love your fans to know about you? I love God, I love people and I want help touch lives for the Lord. Any upcoming shows? Working on some upcoming events this Spring. For someone who hasn’t seen you live yet, how would you describe your performance? Lively, interactive and passionate. What’s next for you? Working on putting out and EP. • Rikke Normann Unleashes Her Truth With New Album "35"

Rikke Normann released her dazzling album titled “35” with a collection of hit songs that all holds a memorable impact on its listeners. “35” begins with “I Belong” and I interpreted that this record was about the nomadic sense someone has to explore their future and fulfill their purpose in life, although being unsure of what to expect and what the upcoming has for her. However, she feels content in the comfort of someone in specific who makes her feel as if she’s going to be okay. “All I can see is, that you’re my home” the song is about warmth and compassion between two loved ones. Or can metaphorically represent her love for something else that brings her serenity. The next song “Fire” transitions in, adding that dark element to her album. The vocal resonance converses from a light and innocent melody to a more sassy and ferocious vocal tone and quality--especially during the climax belt which highlights the passion in the music a lot more. What turned me into a fan however was the third song on this album, “It’s Complicated.” For one, I love how Rikke is able to switch up her style and not stick in one plethora of music in every track because then she would become boring. However, this has a more rnb and soulful flare to the instrumental. But what I really liked most was how I was able to personally connect to the lyrics. The song discusses how sometimes life becomes complicated and confusing, yet we still know things are going to work itself out. I loved the message behind it, as well as the groovy beat. The next song that transitions in is “Fragile” which was the dope collaboration between Rikke and Bernhoft. “We are so fragile in the way that we live.” Rikke continues to discuss for the people and the toxic mentalities we have that can destroy our own thinking when going for things that make us happy in life. She proves that her music lends as a helping hand with her next song “Oxygen” when she says “take my hand I’ll help you to your feet again, give you oxygen, to breathe.” You feel a sense of comfort as if Rikke is telling you personally that she is here for you and your mental state if you feel numb or down. The next song that transitions in the album is called “All I Got”--it’s a more jazzy and groovy single compared to the songs prior. “You keep me on the brighter side of purple,” plays and I think the whole message of the song was to be more delightful and positive, obtaining a more charismatic aura about it. Rikke continues that positive and gleaming spirit with her next release titled “Birds,” and the tune was still blooming across the entire aesthetic of the album, which completely enthralled me with the joyful melody.“Sorry Bebe” took me for a surprise with the enticing introduction and the funky rock soul instrumental alongside Rikke’s beguiling vocal resonance. The song discusses about a breakup and how the girl is basically unbothered by the situation. “We grew apart, we grew apart from each other”-- it is the perfect song we can add to our playlists if we ever want to feel replenished after leaving a relationship that we no longer wanted! In the ending of the album, the sensual and erotic single “Rip It Off” transitions in with a more sultry vibe and provocative lyrics that pushes the boundaries and exceeds her exploration of different characters throughout the entire project! In conclusion of this multifaceted album, “The Waiting Game” is the perfect closer to "35" and we can end off the magnificent versatile album with a song that discusses the patience and virtue our society is upholding at the moment. And in my opinion, that concept highlights the overview of “35”. Download Rikke's album "35" on Spotify, and get to know the artist through our interview below! Rikke when did you begin singing? I don’t really remember when I began singing, but I remember that I started singing because I heard songs in my head. I needed to get them out of my head so I started singing and taught myself to play the piano. I think I have unknowingly always been a songwriter by heart. How was the production process for “35” any struggling moments? “35” is an album recorded live in the studio, and it has been the most pleasant recording process I have ever been in. I think it's because this kind of process fits my bubbly and sort of impatient personality, I like capturing moments and feelings, and sometimes find it hard to do over, or recall, a certain vibe. I am a live artist, so to record like this is where the gap between live performance and studio is the smallest. We did have some struggeling moments in the few add ons we did, but they were minor. Sometimes taking a little time to let things rest is all you need to resolve it. Not listening to the track for a while will most likely make you see what’s missing when you pick it up again. I think recording with the right band and producer, where everyone is on the same page, togehter with having songs that play well acoustically, makes a recording process go smoothly. Or maybe we just got lucky! haha ;-) You explored different sets of mood throughout the album, which was your favorite and why? My favorite on the album has changed many times already, but I always return to the last track on the album “waiting game” It feels very me in mood, a kind of patient impatience. This is what feels the most me. The song is complex, but then again not, it’s both dark and light, energetic and relaxed at the same time, full of contrasts. How do you try channeling in the emotion for the specific song of your choice? The songs and emotions usually come out together when I write them when they’re born. It all happens at the same time, the mood and emotions of the lyrics or melody will make me look for certain chords, either to contrast or emphasize what I want to express. Out of all the songs on “35” which do you believe holds the most impact and why? I am currently on a quite large scale "living room" tour in Norway, with over 35 stops on the way, and I can already tell from the gigs I have had, and what my listeners say, that “Oxygen” is making an important difference in peoples lives. This makes me really happy because it’s a very special song to me, but it also has a very important message. Oxygen wants to help someone who find them in the darker corners of life, before it’s too late, and I want to make people aware and open their eyes to see if someone around them is hurting or in trouble. It’s so easy to miss or hide behind a perfect smile in this busy world we live in. What’s next for you? What’s next for me besides finishing the release & “living room” tour I’m currently on, is starting to work on a new album!! :-D The songs are pouring out as always, and I am more restless than ever to get started on making new music. 7 new tracks are all ready to go, so lets press record! (also there will be more video’s, a live album and gig’ing! - oh, and a little vacation in there maybe ;-) Be sure to stay connected with Rikke through her website and socials: Facebook Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic

Since the release of her new single, Eryka Cooper has been back in the studio with her talented musical team hard at work creating powerful music. “Till He Comes Back” is a song that describes Eryka Cooper’s military wife experience, admiration and love for those who “adopted” her into their families and gave her love, support and everlasting company through some real hard times. For this reason, “Till He Comes Back” is dedicated to her military “adopted” family, the Thompson’s and the amazing people of Leesville, Louisiana; among others. This song is definitely a strong military anthem. A tune that makes you proud to be American and a reminder of how lucky we are for our military. Starting out giving us classic country vibes with great strings and powerful vocals. There’s a steady two-step about this song that you can’t help but to line dance to. I love how you can hear the passion, pride and love in her voice for what she is singing about. You cannot deny or miss that fact in this classic country single. Make sure to add Cooper's "Till He Comes Back" on your Spotify playlist here. Hi Eryka! Care to introduce yourself? Hey, I go by Eryka Cooper, I am a Singer & Songwriter born and raised in Miami, Florida. I am a Cuban-American Country Girl, true to my Latin roots with the biggest Country heart. Family is everything to me, I am a Mother to a 3-year-old boy, a Proud Military Wife and a Grateful Daughter. Can you give us a brief history of your musical career? I started studying Opera and singing at the age of nine, studied piano at the age of 7 and I am currently teaching myself how to play the guitar. Music is in my blood and runs deep in my heart and soul. I have always loved and listened to Country Music, however I truly fell in love and inspired with Country Music while living in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style? Yes & No. Most of my songs are personal to me, the ideas and story behind them, however they truly come to life when I collaborate with Chris Price, an amazing person & musician. He understands the direction I want my music to take, so by working well together magic strikes, stories come to life & an incredible song is created! Congrats on the release "Till He Comes Back", it's a fantastic song! Can you tell us a bit about it? “Till He Comes Back” is my personal Military Wife story, the loneliness, struggles, and sadness that I had to endure alone. It talks about the years my husband served and how I was far from home alone with just my dog and flag and when it was once again time to say goodbye, whether it was long training or deployment, the Community Leesville and more specifically my military “adopted” family, The Thompsons embraced, loved, adopted and supported me through some really hard times. The Chorus speaks their words saying “you don’t have to do it by yourself, you always have friends” and how “I don’t have to be alone”. With my own Family & The Thompsons by my side, they made me a stronger woman. I am so proud of this song and it’s in dedication to The Thompsons, Leesville Louisiana, and All Men & Women, and especially their Spouses, who Proudly Serve Our Country! Where did the inspiration behind the song come from? The Thompsons where a huge inspiration to this song, they gave me so much love, support, guidance and helped me realize that I am much stronger than I give myself credit for. My husband, who I admire and am very proud of and my dear friends, the spouses of the men and women who serve this country! To them all I am eternally grateful! Who are your musical influences that have helped shape who you are as a musician? Why? I have a lot of influential moments that have helped shape my musical career, however my father is probably the biggest influence. He has been playing the drums since he was 14 and is my musical gene. Growing up listening to him play, watching videos and now having the privilege to perform live with him has been a little girls dream come true. My mother is my biggest fan, without her as a manager I’d be lost and completely disorganized. She guides me, keeps me grounded, reminds me to be true to myself, and always has my back! My parents have always motivated me to study music and if it were not for them I wouldn’t have grown with the love to sing and write my own music. I love them both with all my heart and I will forever be grateful for all they do for me. Another powerful influence in my life was having the honor to work alongside with an amazing man and musician, Richard Warren Rappaport. He was my entertainment attorney, a man who believed in me and my talents and who opened the door to never-ending possibilities to help me reach my full potential and pursue what I love to do most, sing. Thanks to my main influencers and support team I have been able to follow my dreams & meet and work with such amazing musicians. What’s next for you? Since the release of my new single “Till He Comes Back”, I have been back in studio finishing two more singles and I’m in the works of creating an album. I am grateful to be working with an amazing musical team at Bullseye Productions with Rudy Perez and Chris Price. I look forward to our studio sessions and creating powerful and inspirational music. I will continue to work hard to follow my dreams and goals in singing and writing Country music and I can only hope that one day my songs are being sang and played all over the world. Kinglsey on the M.I.C. getting ready to rock ya body! I've actually always wanted to do that on stage - one day! I'm Kingsley, an indie pop singer! Did “You” come out the way it was initially envisioned? The song You has been this seed that has grown into an amazing tree, legit cannot handle how amazing it the entire process has been. I wrote this song on the guitar and recorded it on my iPhone and sent it to my good friend Jack Kennedy of Zarr Studios - the original idea was to make this song a ballad - nice and slow and super sad. Which is how I play it when I do stripped down sets. We get into the studio to start tracking a demo and we are just flying back and forth with ideas when I say the melody you hear in the breakdown after the chorus hits. Well, Jack hit the ground running with the idea. Once the original was out it was the crowd favorite to play! Fastward to when I started doing the remix project with my friend, Yoswayy. He was obsessed with adding all types of drums and guitar licks to make this song every more dancy. I out my pride and control freak down and let Yoswayy be as creative and liberal with this song - the produce of You (remix) is because of him. And I am beyond thankful and grateful to have amazingly talented people in my life. Where were your influences drawn from in order to create “You”? HAHAH! A STUPID ASS FUCK BOY! I was going to call the song his name but I didn't wanna single him out like that, cause my mama taught me better than that. What kind of music can we expect from you this year? I am releasing an acoustic album in the spring, 4 new pop singles in the summer and some fun music videos in the fall! I am continuing my project Twelve Months of Kingsley - where I release new content on the 23rd of each month! So stay tune, 2019 is going to be a hell of a year. How did you know that a career in singing was the one for you? In 3rd grade I won a talent show singing Fallin' by Alicia Keys - I remember practicing in my room with a broomstick as a microphone. I have always wanted to be on the stage singing and making people laugh and cry - it is so cliche to say that it feels like home, but legit nothing else makes sense. I just quit my day job as Head of Marketing for the biggest indie booking agency to do music full time because I have been so miserable giving my time and attention to anything but Kingsley. What piece of musical advice would you give to yourself 5 years from now? Don't give up on this dream - ever. This is what you were put on Earth to do, and when no one else believes in you remember that I do. Catch up with Kingsley on social media: Facebook Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic

  • Tajonyx Takes A Stand In “Photo Cred”

Tajonyx (TAH - John) hailing from the historic Columbus Ga, knows a thing or two about good music. Influenced by the South, he mixes contemporary R&B sonics with pop accents and a soulful clean range to create a signature sound of his own. Tajonyx has been able to garner an intimate but dedicated fanbase that has supported his movement since 2012. Tajonyx has been featured in several media vehicles/publications including Golden Isles magazine, Coastal Illustrated, and The Columbus Ledger Inquirer, and has collaborated internationally with artists such as UK DJ/Producer Noco Beats and Domestically with artists such as Darnesha Allen and James P. Tajonyx's Debut EP "Armor of Onyx" Tells the story of a faith evolution. "Photo Cred," the newest single, is a natural evolution into more of a pop realm, hitting on the topic of heartbreak but never negating the danceable sensibility his fans know and love him for. Such a heart throbbing song! I find myself relating to the storyline and the heartbreak. I really love how he was able to blend a mixture of pop and RnB, and I definitely hear the soul! This really funky cool beat you wouldn’t think goes with something like this lyrically but it goes so well! During the chorus there is an additional beat drop and it really makes this song unique. His vocal tone is crazy and his sound is something I haven’t heard before. It’s almost ambiguous and I love it! Bravo! Don't miss out on "Photo Cred" by adding it to your Spotify playlist. Get to know Tajonyx through the artist's interview below! Hey! Could you please introduce yourself to our readers? Hey readers! My name is Tajonyx. I'm a independent recording artist originally from Columbus Georgia. When did you realize your passion for music? This is a hard question for me. Alot of people don't know what they want to grow up to be, until they get much older. I wasn't one of those people. I've been singing and dancing for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories are of my mom and I cleaning around the house and harmonizing with one another. Where were you when you the idea came about for this track “Photo Cred”? It was about 3 years ago. I was in spin class. As I was working out, I thought about my one of my favorite 80s songs. I thought it would be such a cool idea to mix the nostalgic vibe of the 80s with a Pop/R&B sonic backdrop. What are your goals for those that listen to your music? Alot of artists try to keep things light and fun. I don't. I strive to make you dance, but to also change your train of thought; to inspire you to finally end that toxic relationship, to remember your first heartbreak, etc...I want to be the listeners audio soul mate. What can we expect to hear or see from you this year? Well "Photo Cred" is definitely the focus this year. We've still got alot more in store. The release of the audio was just the beginning. Visuals are next. Make sure you all support the single! Its available wherever music is sold! Also follow me on social media (@tajonyx) to stay updated on the single rollout! • The Zealous Eddie Ambition Hypnotizes His Listeners With His Bewitching Hit “Rip My Heart Out”

Eddie Ambition, an artist, DJ, and Producer from Prince George County, Maryland, released his single titled “Rip My Heart Out” and the repetitive hook, computerized pop instrumental, and ethereal melody was enough to draw me in and turn me into a fan. The backtrack beat has intricate details and an atmospheric presence that evokes a sense of becoming lost within the sound. The hook sings “If Only I Could Rip My Heart Out” with an addicting melody you can’t help but to sing along around the second replaying of it. If I’m being honest, not many songs can impress me to the point where I decide I want to personally add it to my playlist but this track is so addicting and prepossessing I couldn’t help but to sing along, and replay about 5 times. That was a sign to me how radio appealing the record is! It can come on a radio and immediately grasp the attention of those all around. It naturally has this musical magnetic force that attracts a crowd to the sound. Eddie Ambition tantalizing hit record was enough to have me invested in what he will release next and I know it won’t be anything less than a hit song! Be sure to check out Eddie Ambition's "Rip My Heart Out," and get to know Eddie better through the artist's exclusive interview below! Is ‘Eddie Ambition’ your given name or just a stage name you created? If so it’s super unique and cool! Tell us the story behind that! Eddie Ambition is a stage name I created in 2013 and made official in 2018. I made it when I was still in high school just as a name for Instagram and twitter. While going out, partying, dating etc where the ideal past times for my peers, then and now all I wanted to do when I wasn't in school was work, work on my music, run my audio/ engineering company and do my gigs as a musician. To sum it up, the only adjective that accurately described me that I could think of to go along with Eddiewas ambition. Although, Chocolate Thunder, The Dark Chocolate Teddy Bear, & Sexy Teddy Eddie where options to lol. How long have you’ve been making music? I've been making songs since I was 12. I started as a multi instrumentalist at 12 playing Keys, bass, drums, guitar, and percussion. I also tried to play the saxophone and the trombone while I was still in elementary school, I wasn't to passionate about them nor very good. At 12 I use to make chord progressions and write songs to them in hopes of being able to start a rock/ pop band but unfortunately that was a dead mission at 12 in PG county MD due to the fact that the dominate genres there are gogo, rap, and R&B and on top of that being 12 made it hard to travel to find other musicians in other areas, also not many of my peers where getting into instruments and bands outside of school, definitely not rock music if they where. Knowing that you’re multi-faceted and skilled in many areas such as producing, and DJing.. Do you indulge more time in creating a song than typical since you’re doing all areas of the production!? The song creation process does take me longer since I am behind every element of it. I tend to start by making the beat or at least the chord progression and melody then write to it, then i'll finish the beat, record my vocals, then mix and master it. Sometimes that can happen all in one sitting or I may stretch it over time. What is “Rip My Heart Out” ? How would you describe the song to our readers? "Rip My Heart Out" is a song I wrote, produced and recreated several times over the last few years that exhibits the turmoil of a painful relationship I was in. The song shows a tender hearted young guy who's never cheated, been loyal, faithful, even naive, maybe overzealous and who honestly cared about love not just sex who was broken down, cheated on, lied to, and taken advantage of. I guess everyone hits there breaking point, I surely did. In my case I've never be the same, I'll never view or trust people the same, and I wouldn't quite say a relationship or marriage is what I want anymore, the desire is there but the thought of it scares me more than anything and this song displays that. Wait till you guys hear what I release next, its a complete plot twist ;). Many DJ’s and Producers chooses to stay behind the music and not showcase their talent on the tracks they produce. Is it a fulfilling feeling knowing a song you create is something you created on your own with no help? Its a fulling experience. Doing everything myself kinda helps to fully create that vision and emotion as accurately as I feel and see it in my spirit. The whole process, when you do everything yourself, is sorta like the feeling of "Preaching to the choir" everybody's just on the same page and frequency and since in this case I'm technically everybody, Its pretty cool, definitely therapeutic.  Also, after recently being able to get out of my contract with my former label of two years its a good feeling and business position to be in to have 100% control and ownership of my work and its also cool because I don't have to wait on, rely on, pay or travel to anybody to get my songs created. Although in the near future I would like to team up with a passionate mixing & mastering engineer. Who are some of your favorite artists out today that you’re listening to who have helped shape your career in music!? I have a very wide and weird range of artist I like and am influenced by. First and foremost Calvin Harris, Zedd, Chris Brown, Michael Jackson, Prince, Morris Day, A Day To Remember, Nina Simone, Telepopmusik, The Weeknd, Big Flock, Gameova Band, What? Band, AAO, HQB, Hozier, Hopsin, Tasha Cobbs, Kiki Sheard, Robert Glasper, Simple Plan, Naked Brothers Band, Marvin Sapp, Chet Baker, Ice Cube, Lil Jon, Tupac,  Suttle Thoughts Band, and of course Drake. What’s next for you Eddie? From here Im looking to continue pushing my single "Rip My Heart Out" until it picks up more traction then I want to release my plot twist song ;) lol. You know, I was so devastated and depressed having to leave the label I recently was with. I thought that I was with a good team, I thought Id make my first hit with them, I thought they really messed with me, believed in me and where going to work, I guess time showed otherwise. So Im also looking to build a good team of people to help me with everything, as of now I literally do everything myself, even my graphics and I don't even know how to do graphics lol. Im going to continue to build my budget so I can push and invest in my self independently tho I am open to signing to another label if there open to being drilled like crazy by 100 lawyers. • Sarah Christine Makes Our Heart Melt With "Like The Movies"

Singer/songwriter Sarah Christine was introduced into the music scene in 2014. Within following years, she would release her first album, “Unheard”, and her second album, “Breaking Silence” in 2017 and 2018 respectively. All of her albums are written, produced, and arranged by Sarah while being mixed and mastered by Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recording. For 2019, Sarah Christine plans to start her tour, “To the Mountains” during the Spring. A beautiful piano ballad is what Sarah Christine’s song, “Like The Movies” consists of. Christine’s vocals are sultry and uniquely breathy with enough power to move forward. The harmonies are beautifully incorporated and work well with the storyline of the song and music video. A very touching song that showcases the universal want of being happy and finding someone they love. Going through the heartfelt and sentimental lyrics, Sarah reminds the listeners that it is okay to want to be happy, but with happiness there will always be struggles. Ending with a heart-tug of almost whispered lyrics brings us to tears as we reflect upon our life. “Like The Movies” is a warm and nostalgic acoustic ballad that will find its way in your heart and playlist. Pull your heartstrings with Sarah Christine's "Like The Movies" on Spotify, and be sure to check out this artist's personalized interview below! Hi Sarah, can you introduce yourself to our readers? Hey all! I’m Sarah Christine - Singer/Songwriter out of Denver & Minneapolis. I enjoy wine, long walks on the beach, annnnnnd writing, composing, producing and singing just for you :). I’ve released 2 albums since 2017, most recently releasing “Breaking Silence” and a holiday single “Home For Christmas”.  I’m a huge believer that we are all in it together with making dreams come true - so I’m SO glad we are on a team together on this musical journey!  Thank you for you support, for listening, for coming to shows, for streaming, for purchasing my mp3s, cds and vinyls and for everything you are to every lyric I write.  Cheers to all that’s to come - TOGETHER 🖤 Did you release any music before your first album release in 2017? I was in a band called SarahLou where we released local music in Minneapolis. What was your idea for the music video for “Like the Movies”? Like the Movies is a very personal song for me.  I met someone where we fell in love at hello, was strong, but fell apart.  I thought about how love is like the movies.  A movie either ends in love and marriage or ends in heart ache - but either way - it’s love.  My story is so personal and frankly quite jaw dropping for the experience I went through to where I thought others that may have gone through something similar may need a song like this to get through.  I know I needed to write it to get through myself. Is this song a narrative about your own life? Yes - it’s so close to home and pulls at my heart every time I play it.  Every note I play and sing live always feels like the first time I wrote/sang it because it’s that heart wrenching given all I had to work through to overcome. How do you collaborate with your listeners? I truly believe we are all on this journey together and I care about every single person I meet that listens, comes to shows, emails me, etc.  I keep a log of everyone I meet so I remember everyone’s name and make sure they feel so special (I hope anyway) every time we interact.  I interact with the crowd at shows - pulling people on stage or I come off stage and sing with someone or perform totally acoustic.  I buy rounds of drinks for people or invite folks to after party’s etc - I think it’s so important to stay and be connected.  I know my fondest experiences with my music idols have done the same for me, and I’ll never forget those moments.  I hope to create them for all that support me too, just as those musicians did with me. Since releasing your own music and being a part of the music industry, what is one important thing you have learned so far? Always. Keep. Writing. Work hard, hustle, and let the grind be what you enjoy.  The best moments I’ve had in music so far have been the most challenging times and I think that’s part of the love - it’s just like relationships - the chase is what’s fun ;). • Tyler Boone Releases Classic Hit "Moving On" Featuring Finnegan Bell

Tyler Boone grew up in Charleston, SC and fell in love with the small club rock scene while making his way to major music venues. He gained momentum on the radio and across the United States as well as 13 other countries which gave him opportunities to open for other talented artists such as Sheryl Crow, Old Crow Medicine show, and The Revivalists, just to name a few. His debut EP, “Jealousy” was released in January while is single, “Moving on” (feat.Finnegan Bell) is currently being played on the radio. A rocking guitar brings us straight away into the song, “Moving On” featuring Finnegan Bell. A classic sound of rock with a hint of alternative genre brings us into the backing vocals reminiscent of early Beatles music while staying the year of 2019. A message of being humble is what comes across as Boone reminds his listeners to never forget where they come free. Upbeat and energetic with a groovy bassline and drums, Boone ties it all in with a killer guitar solo. This pays homage to his predecessors of rock and alternative music. The ending has to be the most grandiose ending to be heard with a buildup of all the instruments to make a final and exuberant cadence. Tyler Boone has been shaking up the radio waves and will do the same with your playlist. Remember to add Tyler's "Moving On" to your Spotify playlist, and get to know the artist through his exclusive interview below! Hey Tyler! Congrats on all the radio play! How does it feel to hear your music on the radio? Thanks so much, I've been lucky enough to start hearing my songs on the radio when I was 20 years old and ever since then I've been pretty much always chasing after it. A lot of this success I can credit to John Schoenberger & Ken Anthony of All Access music group in Malibu, California & also to Mike Allen, he was the first guy to start spinning my music. Your new track "Moving On" is such a vibe! Thanks for sharing it with us. Can you tell us a bit about the creation process of the song? I wrote this song when I moved back to Charleston from Nashville when I was working on launching my bourbon line "Boone's Bourbon." I was heavily listening to Gary Clark Jr. then and wanted to stick to that vibe & heavily the electric guitar. What message do you want your listeners to take from listening “Moving On”? Sometimes things seem bleak and other people are blazing right by you chasing their goals, but know that your time will come and when it does it'll all be worth it. Favorite lyric line from the song? Why? "I've been falling down and I cant get up, we've been running around and it's time I get on" Time to stop listening to other people and get on with my own life & my own goals. Who are a few of your greatest musical influences that have helped shape your career in the music industry? Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr. What can we expect from you going through 2019? I hit the studio in two weeks to lay down a new single, going for more on the Americana vibe this time around, I'm stoked. • Washington Artist Zander Yates Releases "Xep Stis"

Hailing from Seattle, Washington, singer songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Zander Yates has been performing since the age of 16. Having busy years ahead of him, Zander had already released ten albums under various pseudonyms by 2017. Eventually, he would use his name to release 2017’s “ESC Key” which was a combination of Americana,Progressive rock and electronic music. His sound was described as “profoundly experimental” by Martin Douglas. Yates' songwriting delves deep into philosophical questions, psychedelic humor and lofty lyricism. Psychedelic sounding guitar introduce the song, “Xep Sits” for a nifty instrumental intro. Next drops in Xander’s vocals heavily sounding like folky Led Zeppelin songs. A steady rhythm is kept by the interchanging of finger-picking guitars and strumming. Combining a sort of influence from Eastern music similar as to how The Beatles did when traveling to India, Yates brings us together a beautiful and striking melody. The song itself does not have much structure, but this is what characterizes Zander’s folky and psychedelic sound giving an ode to the late 60s. Yates' lyrics seem to be a wandering of the mind and discusses things that are thought provoking in nature, such as one’s time is limited. The song ends the same way it started, with a purely guitar orientated instrumental. Listen to "Xep Stis" here, and learn more about Zander Yates in our interview below! What prompted you to make experimental music? Who are your biggest musical inspirations? I think in a way most music is experimental in nature. I mean we as humans are deciding to play around with vibrations when we could be focusing on any number of things that exhibit a more logical connection to our survival; to me that’s a pretty experimental action. When I’m making my music I’m never really thinking about genre, all of that comes later. I call Exit Strategy Unlimited experimental because its whole concept and creation was one big experiment. I have a whole lot of inspirations, but on this most recent album, I’d say it’s heavily influenced by Mississippi John Hurt and the film composer John Williams. No joke I listened to pretty much nothing but the Star Wars soundtracks during the weeks leading up to recording the album. And I’ve listened to Mississippi John Hurt for a long time and the way he plays the guitar like a whole orchestra is something that opened up a lot for me and it shows up in the album. As a singer I’m also influenced by local artist Glen Freeman and a singer named Mark Anton; they’ve both given me a lot of pointers and helped me a lot, and there are many more locals who’ve influenced me too as a person. We have tons of great music here in Seattle. Is there a structure or process you use to make your music? It depends on the song. Exit Strategy Unlimited was basically entirely improvised, as it was sort of an experiment in forcing myself to perform an unlimited style of music under the pressure of limitations in time, equipment, etc. I think if I ever apply a process to my writing it’s in the spirit of challenge. I can’t stop writing music; it’s always there already, so any framework I apply to it is more like a mold than a skeleton. What is your favorite instrument to play? I don’t know if I have a favorite instrument because the more I get into playing different instruments the more I blur the lines between them. I love singing because on a certain level it’s impossible to lie with your voice. No one sounds like me and I can’t sound like anyone else. I love that and I try to hold true to it no matter what I’m playing. What is the meaning of “Xep Sits” and its name? All the songs in Exit Strategy Unlimited are laid out in steps, “Step Two,”  “Step Three,” etc, as a sort of response to a single I put out in 2017 called “Step One.”  Streaming services wouldn’t accept those titles because they have rules against using track titles that imitate the track number; my friend suggested I scramble all the track titles into anagrams and I thought it was a brilliant idea so with his permission I went ahead and did it. “Xep Sits” is just “Step Six” re-arranged. It’s the ending of the album and is a tribute to the true spirit within every person, a person’s most natural self, who is often banished to the fringes of a person’s psyche by the orthodoxy of society and pressure of social conformity. To me if there is any hope for us to save the planet and each other we need to become our most genius selves which means unleashing these true spirits. The ending is just me insisting that nature is coming back and that it will win in the end and we’ll find a way. Why did you use pseudonyms when you previously released your music? Actually this made me realize I have a mistake in the bio on my website because as far as I remember I think I’ve only used one pseudonym other than my real name- but I also released a lot of music under my name that I’ve since deleted, so that probably applies to your question as well. As much as I’ve made an effort to hide my old music in the past, I’m actually really excited for it to be rediscovered one day; I love showing where I’ve come from in the context of where I am. When I was in elementary school I was supposedly (and I can’t remember how official this was) diagnosed with a learning disorder called “nonverbal learning disorder,” or NVLD. (I don’t give much weight to this anymore, as I don’t give much weight to many aspects of our education system. I think our society has a very limited, and at times even backwards, understanding of intelligence which I would like to critique in detail some day soon.) This diagnoses, among other things, would give me a lot of self esteem issues growing up, and because of this my path to becoming a singer and songwriter was one that I travelled upon slowly, and for a long time, secretly. When I was growing up there were very few who believed in me at all, so I kind of tested the waters, usually under a pseudonym, but eventually under my real name too. It took me a long time to overcome the mental boxes I had formed out of all of this, because even if I knew the truth in my heart I had to understand it logically before I could apply it to my life. People say art is subjective, but it’s not; the experience of art is subjective but the art itself is an objective, physical thing. You create it in a physical reality that we share. It took me a long time to figure that out; I am just starting to learn how to create something with respect to its objective existence, so that it is healing and what I consider to be good. I don’t have to rely on intentionally influencing people’s subjective experiences, which for moral reasons I’d rather leave up to them. I create patterns of physical vibration that can have a healing effect on a person’s physiology while I tell my story. I can now build a building (metaphorically speaking) and appreciate its structural integrity - simply the fact that it achieves its purpose, and that its purpose does not rely on any opinion other than my own, and that I can choose what factors I construct my opinion with depending on the goals of the project and not purely the conventions of our brief moment in history. For these reasons I’m now much more comfortable openly sharing my music under my real name.  I still have so much to learn, but I’ve already come farther than what many thought would be possible, and what I’m working on now is so much better (in my opinion) than even the albums I’ve put out most recently. My old music (anything I released between 2008 and 2016) was very weighed down by my own pain and outright lack of skill. I just hope that in the future it will serve as a story telling device so that people can listen to my whole journey and comprehend it on a level that can only be communicated with art, not with words. Anything I can say right now is meaningless compared to that. Connect With Zander Yates: Instagram Facebook Twitter #BuzzMusic

  • A Retro-Pop Hit You Need To Hear, Hatty Keane Releases New Single "Man About Town"

Hatty Keane’s latest single is titled “Man About Town” and showcases Hatty Keane’s talents as a soul songwriter and musician. On this track, Hatty Keane collaborates with producer Steven Williams (Ure/Stansfield) resulting in this retro vintage pop track. In the year of 2019, it has become increasingly difficult for an artist to find their place and identity in the music industry, which is something the Hatty Keane has under her belt. Hatty Keane’s music is best described as a quick tempo retro soul and hooks stemming from jazz. The song starts with an introduction of piano chords and rhythmic clapping keeping temp. Harmonies of ‘oos’ add to the retro feel throwing it back to the harmonies of the 50s while Hatty Keane declares her independence as a woman and possesses the strength to carry on her own. Contrary to the social norms of way back when, Hatty Keane’s song possesses a woman empowerment that aligns with today’s views of women and treatment of them as well. Hatty Keane’s vocals are on point giving enough angst and belts getting her point across blatantly. The bridge really connects the rest of the song giving a resolution to her powerhouse vocals and lyrics. Hatty Keane has definitely brought a new sound to the music industry and is ready to gain momentum by releasing more records and performing in a live setting. Listen to "Man About Town" here, and learn more about Hatty Keane in our interview below! Care to introduce yourself to our readers? Hey I'm Hatty Keane :) Can you give us a brief history of your musical career? I signed with independent music company BGM back in 2011 and we have been working tirelessly since then writing, doing show after show and trying finding the artist within me! We've been through a few genres along the way but I'm now firmly planted in Cinemtic Soul and ready to release my body of work. Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style? Yes I do. A lot of it is fantasy, my mind is good at conjuring up stories. I love to tell stories in my songwriting and hear them come to life with the music. We’re really into your new song! Can you tell us a bit about it? Man About Town is an anthem for women. The male character thinks he is something of a James Bond and the lady in this tale isn't going to sit around and wait at home for him. Its empowerment. Where did the inspiration behind the song come from? I have this image of a 1950s James bond galavanting around the South of France. What are three things you’d love your fans to know about you? I am an introvert, I don't eat animals and I love Harry Potter! Any upcoming shows? For someone who hasn’t seen you live yet, how would you describe your performance? Yes I'm doing quite a few shows in London at the moment, I would say my live show is energetic, empowering and slightly theatrical. What’s next for you? A series of releases this year paired with videos that tell the stories behind the songs. Connect with Hatty Keane: Instagram Facebook #BuzzMuisc
