Kasey Rios, an independent R&B recording artist, is also known as Ali Ghoussein. This San Bernardino native has had a passion for music since the young age of four. Some of his favorite artists were Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, Will Smith and Chris Brown to name a few. At the age of 6 his family relocated to Lebanon and his love for music went with him. This artist music blends elements of trap, hip hop, soul, with a little fresh twist. Take a smoke break and tune into Kasey Rios’ latest track. Tuning into “33.3705N, 35.2038 E / 2AM” you’re hit with so many things at once. This track has a strange beauty. One that sounds so different but it is a pleasurable tune. You can get lost in this track. From the lyrics that have deep meaning of what you would think is a relationship giving it that R&B feel. But then it’s trippy with the trap house production. The choice in manipulation of vocals for this track was done really well. It’s the perfect balance and it is heard throughout from start to finish. This track gives you a little hip hop, just enough trap and wrapped up in a polished R&B package. Listen to the latest from Kasey Rios here. Be sure to check out our exclusive interview with Kasey to find out more about his music career and what “33.3705N, 35.2038 E / 2AM” means from the artist himself. What’s up! Could you please share with our readers about yourself Kasey? Hey guys, thanks for having me. My name's Kasey Rios, i'm an independent R&B/Soul artist originally from San Bernardino, CA, but I've moved between Lebanon and LA. I've been in LA for about four years now, making music for about ten, since I was fourteen. I started out producing on an old white MacBook with a friend I met from school, and we recorded music together as a way to talk about the things going on around us. But our friends and families were always very supportive of us and thought we could really do it in a larger capacity, as opposed to just a hobby, lend a voice to everyone who couldn't say what they wanted to, especially where we grew up. I ended up pursuing music as my main endeavor which lead me to come out to LA and actually go to school for it. I graduated from the Musicians Institute last April from their Independent Artist Program, and now I'm working on building a career as a recording artist. Your latest track “33.3705N, 35.2038 E / 2AM”, explain the idea behind the name? 33.2705 N, 35.2038 E are the coordinates of the city of Tyre, Lebanon, where I spent a lot of time growing up, and where I originally started making music for the first time. I'm actually out here working on my new project now, which is why I named the record after it, the project and record are influenced by things that have happened since coming back here and I wanted to convey that in the title. When you are coming up with a new track, what are some of the first things you do to “prepare”? To be honest I start to work on a new track when I have something specific I want to talk about. So based off of whatever that may be, my process usually starts on a keyboard or chopping up a sample that embodies the vibe of what I'm saying and want to put the listener in with me. Then I'll listen to some of my biggest musical influences that have that sound I want my record to have for inspiration and I'll hit the studio to bring it to life. What led you to the genre of music you produce? My music is mostly fueled by R&B, Soul and Hip Hop, and it really comes from my parents. Growing up my dad or my mom were always playing music around me, and R&B/Hip Hop were they're genres. I came up on Pac, Big, Sade, Bob Marley, Jodeci, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, artists like that. The legends. What I try to do with my music now is blend and pair the sonics and melodies of classic and contemporary R&B with the rhythm and lyrical intricacy of Hip Hop in all its facets. It allows me to discuss more eclectic topics and do it in a way that you'll vibe out to and remember, I hope. What is the hardest things being an independent artist? I love being involved in every aspect of my music, whether it's the process of recording it, promoting it, or legally protecting it, I want to be part of it. It gives me a hand on the whole brand of "Kasey Rios" as opposed to just the songs I make. That in itself though is the best as well as the hardest part I would say of being independent. It can be stressful and tasking to be running point of every aspect of your music alone, because you can't afford to lag or be inefficient in any area, or your project and your brand suffers. So it's not a bad thing to be doing, but it can be difficult. Your triumphs as well as your failures are yours alone, which is good. When will you drop a new EP for your listeners? I'm currently in album mode as we speak, like I said earlier I'm actually in Tyre, Lebanon till February recording and working on the project, I plan to release a double album this coming year. The first half I'm hoping will be out mid March and the second coming in the fourth quarter of the year. It's an ambitious record, between the two projects, I'm recording around 52 tracks. So I hope you guys enjoy them and it's gonna be fun. • Indie-Pop Duo Electric Tongues Give Us Chill Vibes With “Finsta”

Finally, an indie-pop duo that we didn’t ask for, but absolutely needed. Phillip James and Maxwell Ogden, known as Electric Tongues, is the perfect duo straight from Dallas, Texas. The two incorporate and intertwine their abstract ideas effortlessly within their tracks, making us feel intimately connected with their ideologies. As a fairly new duo, Electric Tongues have impressively released two EP’s that are on regular rotation on Dallas Radio. This duo creates a combination of intensifying yet equable music we quite haven’t heard before—but now it’s impossible to forget. Electric Tongues really got it right with their recent release of “Finsta”. This new track provides an experience that begins with electrifying synths combined with compelling vocals spread out over perfectly blended harmonies. “Finsta” maintains its serene vibe throughout, which is our favorite aspect of the song and how it captivates you through its entirety. The irony in their name becomes relevant when listening to this new track—the electrifying vibe courses through your body. Although Electric Tongues is a fairly new duo, they’re going to be around for awhile—we’ll make sure of it. Check out Electric Tongues “Finsta” here. Hey there, introduce yourselves—how did you become a duo? Maxwell: My girl, Alyssa, introduced us. Her friend Juvy was friends with Phil so we kinda all just hung out. I knew he made music but what I really needed was a singer. I asked if he sang and he said yeah and sent me a clip. We immediately got to work. Phillip: Max and I were introduced not too long after my last band split, so I wasn’t feeling super optimistic about my career in music at the time. As soon as I heard Max’s solo work, I knew he was the one I needed to create with. Our track “Favorite Haunt” was pretty much complete after only two sessions together. The energy we have together is definitely unlike anything I’ve experienced before. What was essential in the curation of "Finsta”? Phillip: I’ve always wanted to write something about how signs of depression, addiction, or overall hopelessness often slip through otherwise picture-perfect lives via Instagram posts. People are sad out there, but can’t seem to say it, unless it’s a caption attached to some edgy shit. Maxwell: To me, “Finsta” is a sort of theme song of a generation. Whether that’s a good or a bad thing, I think it’s something that everyone can relate to. Did your visions ever clash while creating “Finsta"? Maxwell: Not really, to be honest. The only thing that comes to mind was Phil initially wanted a different lead guitar on the chorus, but I wanted to keep it simple. Phillip:  As Max mentioned, the only thing we really “clashed” over was that lead guitar line. We ended up moving that line to clear some real estate for the other instruments in the track. What are Electric Tongues goals for 2019? Maxwell: We have an EP planned, a video, a few other things... we hope to grow our following and build our name. Where do you see Electric Tongues in 5 years from now? Phillip: We’re really just enjoying the ride. There is no limit. I just want as many people to hear us as possible. • Jade Stone Releases Dreamy Rock Single "In The Clouds"

Jade Stone is a musical powerhouse composed of a vocal/rhythm guitarist, a bassist, drummer and lead guitarist. These guys are split between Whittier, CA and Colima, Mexico. Jade Stone has a uniqueness not only in their location and story but also in their sound. They explore various musical sounds, like reggae, country/western, and soul, showing the diversity of the band. They draw sound influences from Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath and Coldplay just to name a few. “In the Clouds”, their latest single is sure to prove just how unique they are. This dreamy rock single is one for the books! Jade Stone has managed to create an upbeat, dancefestopia of sounds in their latest “In the Clouds”. It comes in nice and easy and then 1-2-3-4 the drums and bass drop! This single has a very nice flow and every sound compliments the other. From the bass guitar, to the electric guitar, to the artistic vocals, and the drums; everyone in the band gets a spotlight! All is accounted for here in "In The Clouds". This single is one that no matter who you are, you find a love within it. Looking forward to what more this band has to bring in 2019! Listen to "In The Clouds". Hey there guys! Our readers are eager to meet you. Do you mind introducing yourselves? Hello! The band members include Daniel Gomez on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Adrian Fatout on lead guitar, Jorge Vuelvas on bass, and Fernando Carrillo on drums. Tell us about how the band met. This band has a very unique story. Daniel works at a coffee shop in Whittier, California. Jorge and Fernando are originally from Colima, Mexico, but were touring California with their ex project, “Rey Apache.” They decided to set camp in Whittier and live there for a couple years. It just happened to be that Jorge and Fernando would go to the same coffee shop that Daniel worked at. After a while, they became “regular” customers and Daniel sparked up conversation with them. They barely spoke any English, and Daniel spoke very little Spanish. However, this didn’t stop them from becoming good friends. It’s a similar story with Adrian. Jorge and Fernando were at a local music store when they randomly bumped into Adrian. Adrian asked if they wanted to play and they quickly bonded over music. Adrian was unaware that they really only spoke Spanish so he was talking to them in English at first. When Adrian heard them talking to each other in Spanish, that’s when he asked, “Hablas español?” It turned out Adrian was actually fluent in Spanish, and they quickly became good friends. Daniel and Adrian met through Jorge and Fernando when they were both asked to be part of a “Rey Apache” music video. Since then, it’s been history. We all became really close friends, who know how to rock. Your name, Jade Stone, that is so unique. What is the background story behind it? As I was looking for a name for this new project, I was doing research on a lot of crazy weird things. I needed a name ASAP because I was leaving to Mexico to record my album in a couple weeks, and I wanted to make merch to take out there. While figuring out the project name, I came across different kinds of stones, reading about their “powers” and “energy”. Jade helps to promote creativity and helps you understand your dreams, which is something I feel I can really relate to. After reading about all of Jade’s meaning and property, I knew this was it. “Jade Stone” was born. -Daniel How do you manage the band from two different Countries? Well it’s a bit difficult. Obviously, we aren’t playing multiple gigs a week, we just can’t. However, this is still a very new project so we’re still trying to figure everything out ourselves, but we’ve been making it work so far. This is only the beginning, so just look out for us. What influenced this new single, “In the Clouds”? I began writing “In the Clouds” in March 2018. It wasn’t originally supposed to be on the record since recording was scheduled to start in a few months. However, I knew it was a good song, and it just HAD to be on the record. I feel like everyone can relate to the song. I feel like everybody’s been in a position where they’re just like, “ I really wish I can get away right now”. The song talks about my frustrations with my current life situation, not that it’s bad, but I want to do more, I want to travel, I want to play music. Obviously this requires money, a lot of it, which I just don’t have because I’m only 20. That’s the frustrating part, but it’s all good, I’ll get there. -Daniel What can we look forward to from you guys this year? This is going to be a big year for us. We just released our first single and we have 2 more singles we plan on dropping before the actual record. The album has 14 songs, and they’re all different. It’s a very diverse album, it’s different, it’s unique, and I can’t wait for the people to hear. We’re only getting started, so keep an eye out for us. • Palma Ada Releases New Hit "Sister" To Get You Dancing

Palma Ada is a self-taught Swiss/UK based singer and musician with Slovak/Hungarian roots. A nomadic wanderer, she spent her life traveling across many destinations and indulging herself in different professions, studies and adventures. Palma, an enthusiastic artist with a lot to give she released her latest single titled “Sister”, the atmospheric and intricate song with sensational elements and a riveting abduction into the dance world and ethereal characteristic of Palma Ada. “Sister” doesn’t have many lyrics or vocals to the song however, it’s ability to evoke the dancing bone in our bodies to get up and let loose, forget about our self-conscious thoughts and allow ourselves to roam freely with the song makes it a hit! The goal for music is to allow us to feel. Rather we feel positive, negative, or energetic emotions, if a song fails to give us emotion then is it really a song? Palma knows exactly how to avoid that stigma of releasing music with no actual meaning behind it. “Sister” is a unique hit that is highly memorable and I can see Palma Ada having a career filled with longevity and success and I’m excited to see what else she brings to the table! Listen to Palma Ada's new song "Sister". Hi Palma, care to introduce yourself to our readers? I am Palma Ada, a Swiss and UK based musician. Thank you for having me. How was it growing up in Switzerland? Out of all the destinations you’ve visited do you have a personal favorite? Switzerland really is what you make of it. All in all I am just beyond grateful for the people I have in my life now. My favourite country I have visited would probably be Brazil, although it’s hard to narrow it down to just one. I was just very humbled by the people in Brazil and it made a strong impression on me. How would you explain the way music makes you feel? It’s a gateway to a state of mind, a memory or an emotion. It’s eternal in many ways. Where everything else has its limits, music doesn’t. It makes people connect and relate to each other and ultimately, probably even heals them. This is your first release which track has been your personal favourite and why? Yes, this is my first official release. It was written as part of a score for a feature film called «Wolkenbruchs Wunderliche Reise In Die Arme Einer Schickse». These tracks were an exciting challenge and a blessing, as they had to embody the right mood for the scene. I don’t mind restrictions when it comes to my work, because they force you to dig deeper. The producer, Michael Schertenleib, was already a close friend of mine, that’s generally a great environment to work in. Being the first release of more to come, these two tracks have become our babies in many ways. And being a great mother, I love all my kids equally. Can you tell us the meaning behind your latest release? Well the film is based on a Novel about an adolescent orthodox jew in Zurich’s district «Wiedikon». He falls in love with a «Schicksa», meaning a girl who is not of Jewish heritage. He finds himself conflicted, as he has to choose between the people he has loved all his life and his freedom. For me, the story is about a very universal conflict: a choice between an unbearable current state of affairs, that yet feels «safe» and the unknown, that stirs up hope for improvement. Or put very simple: taking risks. I wanted the lyrics to come across respectfully seductive and with a sexual intent when people listen to it first, since the music is played during a party scene in the film and those sort of advances are «risks», most of us have taken at some point in our lives. But ultimately the songs are about that inner argument, whether or not to take a leap, risk it all and allowing ourselves to let go of what is holding us back. What are your plans for the near future? I’ve got another EP coming up, that we hope to release early this year and some other projects as well. So stay tuned! • Drew Dolan's Unique Sound Is An Echoing Of Yesterday’s Past With His Latest Release "7 Plus 3"

Born and raised in Chicago Illinois, Nomadic traveler Drew Dolan has spent years chasing his dream. Drew Dolan's unique sound is an echoing of yesterday’s past through a foundation rooted in the Blues. With storytelling lyrics and soulful vocals, Drew's “true stories” take life in a genuine and contemporary form with instrumental influences creating a melting pot of Funk, R&B, Soul and Swampy Rock. Drew’s energetic and lively release “7 plus 3” showcases the funky R&B groove he feels is genuine to his artistry. I like the twang in his vocals with that intricate tempo that really categorizes funk music the most. You can tell he sticks to his blues roots with a lot of soul projection. “ 7 Plus 3” sticks to the cultural origins of soul music and I love that quality the most. An almost 5 minute jam packed groove that will have you head nodding and feeling the grit in the music. Drew Dolan has that special ability to deliver energetic and fast-paced performances while also subtly giving melodies and a tune we will become addicted too. “7 Plus 3” is an all around contagious hit! Listen to Drew Dolan's new single "7 Plus 3" and be sure to check out our exclusive interview to find out more about himself, how he creates music and the exclusive run down on "7 Plus 3" Hey Drew, care to introduce yourself to our readers? Hello! My name is Drew Dolan. I am a musician originally from Chicago, been living in LA for the past four years. I write and play original music, mostly in the vane of funk/soul/r&b/blues... How did you discover your love for blues music? Coming from Chicago there is, even nowadays, an undercurrent of the Blues (sometimes you have to look for it, a lot of times its just there in the background). I was given a BB King cd when I was about ten or eleven years old. I used to ride my bike listening to it for hours. For some reason it just made sense to me, and I'd sing along when I cruised around. As I grew older, I spent my late teens and early twenties hanging out at the clubs (where you can hear real Chicago Blues until four in the morning) and took in all the music I could. Did you grow up in a musically inclined household and environment? My family loves music, but none of them are musicians except for my youngest brother. I'm the middle of five kids, and we all kind of have our own taste in music, but we all were influenced as children by what our parents had us listening to. We grew up on everything from Classical to Motown, from Classic Rock to the Blues. Do you recall the first song you’ve ever made? What was the meaning behind it? The first song I ever wrote is called "New Orleans." I was living in Oakland. California at the time. I sat down at a Hammond organ that I just got off this kid who was studying at Berkeley. He had to go back to Japan and couldn't bring the organ, so he gave me this old Hammond with a built-in Leslie. I sat down after I got it in my place and the organ had this song jump into my hands. I started singing lyrics and when the song ended I looked for a pen and paper to write down what I was singing when I played it again. I remembered all the lyrics. It took me almost ten years later to find out what the song was about, because it was a prophetic song, meaning it hadn't happened yet. New Orleans, in the song, symbolized everything you don't want 'her' going toward- a different city, a new man, even psychosis. How can you effortlessly weave the lines between current and traditional when producing music? There are definitely technological things you can do to make things more "organic" or old school when recording. My main focus is on the song-writing. I think I am naturally drawn to old school instrumentation- the "style" of my music, while my inspiration for lyrics has always come from a desire to write about what I know. The bridging of these two worlds, at least in a subconscious sense , is to bring people in through the resonance factor of the telling of true stories with the backdrop of groovin' instrumentation. What’s your artist interpretation of “7 plus 3”? This song came from my desire to write a funky, contemporary take on a Motown song. The melody and lyrics of the song came to me when I was sleeping in my van (I was a traveler for years, and lived in a '96 Ford Aerostar when I came to LA). I was struck by how catchy it was and it kept me awake. I started playing with the different ways I could describe the "perfect ten." It was of course written about a beautiful muse who continues to inspire me to this day... What’s your favorite part about being an artist and why? There is no feeling like being on a stage and connecting with an audience. The lines get blurred and there is everything and nothing in the same space. It can happen when you're playing solo in a room by yourself, or in a studio with your band, but there is nothing like when it's happening on a stage with a rocking audience. It is the drug that keeps musicians playing. • Carolee Rainey Releases Her New Classic Hit "Sacrifice"

I have a fantastic suggestion. Stop doing what you’re doing and go listen to Carolee Rainey’s new single, "Sacrifice". This may sound strange, but the first time I heard "Sacrifice", I felt like she may have been talking directly to me. Wait. Hold that thought. On second listen, l’m certain she may be talking not only towards me but through me. As if her and I almost shared some sort of union. Carolee Rainey has literally brought me back to a time in my life, before real responsibility kicked in... when life was carefree and wild. Oh yeah. It’s funny. A dear friend of mine who has met Carolee Rainey said she got the idea to write "Sacrifice" after reading an article about a manager that worked closely with Stevie Nicks in her early career. He mentions in that interview on how much he enjoyed working with Stevie however, it’s been a long time since they’ve had been in touch and how wonderful it would be to just randomly run into her again somewhere. This was the very article that inspired Carolee Rainey's new song "Sacrifice." Sacrifice begins with the melodic piano keys and chilling vocals from Carolee Rainey. The passionate lyrics allow us to feel a sense of chemistry between not only ourselves but Carolee Rainey herself. Carolee Rainey has that classic iconic vocal resonance that was popular back in the day. It’s the tenacious sound Stevie Nicks is equipped with. It evokes a fierceness quality to Carolee. "Sacrifice" has poetic lyricism presented with passionate vocal delivery made it appealing and magnifying! Listen to Carolee Rainey's new song "Sacrifice". The twang in the vocal resonance alongside their electrifying riffs and runs makes their voice distinct and non-comparable from other artists. • #NowPlaying: “Hydroplane” By Sharoo

Shardil Ahmad, known by his fans as Sharoo, entered into the world of hip-hop/rap in 2017. Since then Sharoo has done nothing but grow himself as an artist in order to earn his place as an up and coming rapper. Sharoo is of Pakistani heritage but he was born in the U.S. Although American born, Sharoo spent much of his childhood in the streets of Dubai where he first fell in love with Rap music. Sharoo came back to the States in 2016 in hopes of pursuing his dreams of becoming a professional rapper and physician. For rapper Sharoo it is important that his music is able to consciously and positively impact the lives of his listeners. He is always engaging with his fans and is incredibly excited to be able to do what he loves. The release of his single “Hydroplane” gives me the impression that Sharoo is nothing less than a hitmaker. Here we have almost 3 minutes of rhythmic intensity and catchy lyricism especially in the hook where he says “I’m hydroplaning into the paper” metaphorically, giving raw lyricism while appealing to the audience taste. Sharoo knows exactly what rap fans like to hear. Witty punchlines, a dope beat, and a flow that can ride the beat of the song without any noticeable moments of effort. After listening to “Hydroplane”, I was completely convinced that this is what Sharoo is meant to do. It seems almost natural to him as an artist to provide content filled music and vibes where we can absorb ourselves with. The beat begins and weaves between the lines of laidback trap and aggressive rap. The perfect combination and fused together elements of a strategic rapper who knows his style and how to project it. Listen to “Hydroplane” here and get to know Sharoo in our interview below! Being Pakistani, do you hope to bring a sense of diversity to the rap industry? Of Course it allows me to bring a new style to my music! How has some of your influences such as Kanye and Drake shape your music style, and besides your influences, who are some of your personal favorite rappers you’re listening too? Music wise I would say, although it may sound corny/typical, Drake is most likely my biggest influence. He was the very first rapper I heard, and before I became a rapper myself, he was LITERALLY the only artist I had ever listened to, as in exclusively Drake. Other than that, I would say that, non – music wise, my biggest influencers have to be my parents, literally without them, I do not think I could be where I am today in this world, I would not have food in my stomach, I would not be furthering my education, and most importantly, I would not have the gift of life that I honestly sometimes take for granted. How would you describe your music? I will be honest, at the moment, I do not have a clear direction, I am experimenting with different styles to find what is the best fit for me, and what makes me happy. I do not think I can give an accurate description of the music that “Sharoo” makes, once I make an album, I will have a pin point direction (with some variability of course) of the music I want to make, and that makes Sharoo, Sharoo Have you performed live yet? If so, do you recall how you felt before you walked out on stage? If not, do you have any anticipations? • Clane Matthew Releases New Single "Platforms"

Originally from Jamaica, Clane Matthew moved to the United States in 2008. He didn’t have a lot of money growing up and would face many challenges that came alone with it, but would eventually overcome them. Clane always had a love for hip hop and rap and idolized Kendrick Lamar and his music. Clane knew that he wanted to do something great with his music and wants to help today’s young generation. Clane Matthew’s new track, “Platforms” brings an enlightening point of view to the music industry. Matthew raps to a beat, some piano chords, which later progresses into a classic hip hop beat. The beat really picks up which makes the listener become more involved with his music. Matthew speaks honestly about how he sees today's generation and seems to preach self awareness to his listeners of how we should recognize the destruction social media has taken on society as a whole. We see the transition between vibes in his song with a clever use of , “I’m not done yet” when we expect the song to end.The use of a synth orchestra and a hard beat will really capture the attention of young listeners and hopefully impact those who listen to it. After listening to this powerful track, it will definitely make you think twice and be more self aware of society and how people are easily influenced. This is a beautiful and refreshing message compared to the recurring themes and sounds of hip hop and rap today. Listen to “Platforms” here and get to know Clane Matthew in our interview below! Where do you see yourself in the next five years? In the next five years I see myself helping the people and rebuilding communities. I also see myself spreading peace, love, knowledge and awarensss around the world. I’m just trying to make a difference. And honestly I don’t even do it for the money. I believe that I was put on this earth with the se gifts for a reason. I’m here to make a change for the greater good, and if I’m not there within 5 years then I’ll damn well make sure I get there! Do you think that your music is well adaptable for today’s generation? I honestly don’t think it’s adaptable. My music is different. Nowadays most listeners just look for catchiness and the elements of the beat. They don’t care about the lyrics, the just wanna vibe with the song. I on the other hand focus less on the beat and more on the lyricism. With the beat being simple yet elegant, it puts more focus on the lyrics and force listeners to listen to what I have to say. And after the song I would hope they’ve becomes more enlightened about soemthing they knew nothing about before. Honestly I like that I’m different. It sets me apart from the crowd. Just imagine if everyone in the world was the same; we would have a pretty boring world! Why do you think rap music is so focused on money, drugs, fame, girls etc? I think rap music is focused on these topics because it’s right in front of our faces. They admit in their music. They talk about getting high, popping mollies, drink Hennessy, talk about their bentlies and talk about fucking other people’s bitches. I’m just honestly tired of it. That’s all I hear every song, even songs from indie artists. It’s the same thing over and over and over again. No one comes with anything new and no one wants to speak the truth about what’s going on. I don’t want our generation and the future generation to sink further and further into the abyss, because they’re gonna get to the point where there’s no way out and they’ll be trapped there forever. I like positivity, I like substance, and the majority of these mainstream artists aren’t speaking that, so that’s where I fill in the gap. I want to be that flower that blooms in a dark room, just like Kendrick Lamar said. Do you think your music is relatable to the younger generation today of millennial's? I don’t think it’s relatable, and that’s where the challenge arises. Most of today’s youth are already accustomed to modern music, and to make such a drastic change would have a negative feedback. I’ve had instances in where no one wanted to listen to my music cause it wasn’t “lit” enough and that it was “trash” just simply because it didn’t relate to them. I have no problem with that. I already knew what I was getting myself into the moment I started this agenda; but one thing I know is that when folks start to finally listen, the world will be changed forever. In the mean time I just have to keep going and keep believing in the good work Im doing. Like my father says, nothing beats a trial but a failure. With hard work, and dedication, I do believe people will start to listen. How would you categorize your genre of music and would you have consider going outside of your genre? That’s tough! My gender of music is hip hop, but then it’s turns into rap, spoken word, and the conscious hip hop. It’s a mixture of the three. I utilize them to the best of my abilities to create lyrics, and unique sounds and flows. As I said before being different puts you aside form everyone else because when you’re with everyone else you’re often overlooked because you’re the same, but when you’re different it raises curiosity. Curiosity is a natural human instinct and that’s what I play on. With this method, I hope I  can get the buzz I need to really bring my message to the public. I do want to venture out and try new genres. At the moment my next single is hip hop/rock. I think it’s gonna be a great project because it talks about uplifting women of all cultures, all colors and all shapes and sizes. But for now, I think I’ll just stick to hip hop. Hopefully later in my career I can venture out and try new genres. What can we expect from you in 2019? In 2019, expect me to make a difference. 2019 has started off the be a great year so far. In 2018, my single “The Unspoken Word” went viral in Asia and Africa, reaching over 50,000 views. The Unspoken Word talks about the struggles of me being a black man in the United States.  It registered well with many people and I gained a lot of buzz from the song. I hope to do the same in 2019 and spread knowledge and awareness to everyone! I’ve already had radio interviews in the past 2 months and 2 shows in the past three months, with two more shows coming in January and February. Expect the name Clane Matthew to become a household name, as I strive to bring change to the world, and 2019 will be that year!
