  • Alluring Track “Silhouette” By Samuriium Featuring Avishek Choudhury Released

Avishek Choudhury is a UK base singer-songwriter from Blackpool, Lancashire who also plays the piano and the acoustic guitar. Music has always been his biggest passion from writing, creating and recording music to performing on stage at various live music venues. In 2012, Avishek’s musical journey began playing his very first open mic night at The Blue Room in Blackpool while doing BTEC Music at ‘The Blackpool Sixth Form College’. He attended the University Campus Barnsley for 3 years where he received a degree in popular music and while doing his degree he performed as many gigs as he could such as radio play on ‘BBC Introducing in Sheffield’. In January 2017 he moved back to Blackpool and later that year he was invited to play live on BBC Radio Lancashire as part of the Festival of Making for BBC Music Introducing Lancashire and was invited again in 2018. He has also performed at gigs like ‘Eaglefest’, ‘Barnsley Live’, ‘St Anne’s Music & Arts Festival’, and the ‘Bellevue Road Summer Fair’. Some of his influences are Coldplay, The Script and Bastille. Sam Macdonald, better known as Samuriium, started playing piano in 2012 and developed his love for music. He has been teaching himself production since 2015 working from the ground up, but over the last year he has buckled down and mastered the software side as well as song writing and networking. Sam has been inspired by a range of artists such as Avicii, Jonas Blue, Kygo and Zedd. He is hoping to study at ‘The Academy of Contemporary Music’ or ‘Leeds College of Music’ in September for music production. This funky, lively song that sounds like it has a variety of genres mixed into one. The layers in this song are in-depth and have that indie kind of vibe to them. If you close your eyes, there are moments that almost sound like steel drums, mixed with drums and maracas and the mixture of these sounds really take you out of your mind. The vocal track has remnant of David Bowie, mixed with resonance of Toto’s ‘Africa’ and descriptive lyrics that make it easy for the listener to drift away in relaxation. “I’m just a silhouette, a dying rose you left behind” – I personally love the use of metaphors in music, helping make a connection to something that you can physically picture in your mind, and gives you an idea of the impression that this duo is trying to make. The single’s artwork is beautiful and further gives an idea of the picture that is being painted throughout this track. Experience the beauty of "Silhouette" here, and scroll below for the artists personalized interview! Hey! Pleasure to chat with you! Can you tell us a bit more about yourselves? Sam: "Hi Buzz Music, I'm Sam aka Samuriium, I'm from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. Music has always been a passion of mine and I never took it at GCSE or A Level because I'd felt it would become a chore." Avishek: "My name is Avishek Choudhury, I'm a singer-songwriter from Blackpool, Music has always been my biggest passion from writing, creating & recording music to performing music on the stage at various live music venues. I mainly gig as a solo acoustic act, with just me and my electroacoustic guitar." What made you decide to create this collaboration “Silhouette”? Sam: "Me and Avishek met at a songwriting course in Jan 2018 and after listening to his music I wanted to collaborate with him, and at the time of asking if you wanted to collaborate, Silhouette was a fresh song being written and worked on." Avishek: "I always wanted to try a collaboration, but for one reason or another, it never happened, so when Sam was looking for singers to work with, I thought perfect opportunity. We tried out a few song ideas, but ultimately we felt that Silhouette was the best one." What is the meaning behind the descriptive lyrics and haunting sounds in “Silhouette”? Sam: The lyrics are about a post-relationship in which the persona is being forgotten about, they're there but not in the picture or not in physical form. It's storytelling in a kind of way, as the song progresses, lyrically and with the backing track, the persona is being more and more broken-hearted and by the end of the song (with the build up and sort of drop) the persona may resolve over this pain but is still a silhouette in someones mind. There are a variety of sounds scattered throughout this track, what instruments can we listen for? Sam: One of the main instruments is the piano playing throughout. This is accompanied by the melody which consists of flutes, synths and a piccolo. Plus some tropical chords and pads, with some drums, kick, snap percussion - also some thick synths at the end. What’s next for you in 2019? Sam: I'm hoping to release a final single next month before the album. Then I'm going to uni to do music production in September. Avishek: More writing, recording & gigging. I have some live gigs coming up: 'Eaglefest' at The Golden Eagle, Thornton-Cleveleys (26/05/2019) 'Barnsley Live' at Pour House 22, Barnsley (15/06/2019) 'Benefit Bash' at 02 Academy 2, Islington, London (29/09/2019) Stay connected with the artist through their website and socials: Facebook Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic

  • Batfarm Releases Hot New Single "Get Out"

Batfarm is a two-piece, self-described “darkadelic”, alternative rock band comprised of singer/lyricist Alexx Calise and arranger/sound manipulator Dennis Morehouse. The duo met in Los Angeles and began seeing each other as part of a romantic relationship but eventually began working on music for licensing together. Even after they had broken up due to Alexx's solo success and Dennis' touring schedule, they later realized their bond over music was unbreakable and thus Batfarm was born. Currently, they are recording their debut EP and if their newest single “Get Out” is any indication, Batfarm is a quirky hybrid of blues, grunge rock and pop music that is not for the faint of heart. Alexx's passionate vocals shine on this song, sounding like a cross between Alison Mosshart, Stevie Nicks and Joan Jett. The music is hard to pinpoint but will remind you of bands like Foo Fighters, Royal Blood, Audioslave and Heart, to name a few, with some subtle synth work to help blend the elements. Thankfully for Calise and Morehouse, this duo isn't just another chapter in each other's books. Hopefully, Batfarm will still be a part of each other's stories for many years to come with even bigger rocking tunes. Listen to "Get Out" on Spotify, and keep scrolling for Batfarm's exclusive interview with BuzzMusic! Hello and welcome to BuzzMusic, can you tell us about Batfarm? Alexx: Batfarm is a darkedelic duo comprised of myself (Alexx Calise) and Dennis Morehouse. Our original intention was just to write some songs for licensing purposes (we wrote a song together for a movie, and then we just decided to continue on with it), but we found that we just really enjoyed working together, and that the musical chemistry was undeniable. We have been best friends and songwriting partners for almost 11 years now. Sound wise, people have compared us to Portishead, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Alanis Morrisette and Peter Gabriel. I know that sounds like a bunch of stuff that shouldn't necessarily belong together, but it all makes sense when you see us live. What's the hardest part about working together now that you're not a romantic couple? Do you face any challenges? Alexx: Actually, it works better in a lot of ways that we are no longer together. When we were a couple, our relationship suffered because we spent so much time pursuing music together, and we didn't do a lot of the things "normal couples" do together, like go on vacations and hit the farmer's market every weekend. Now, the pressure's off. We don't have to worry about keeping a romantic relationship alive; we're just best friends and bandmates. It is a challenge however, when either of us choose to date. Because we are essentially family at this point, a lot of people have trouble understanding and accepting our closeness. We are constantly hanging out and are involved in most every aspect of our lives. That's threatening to another person when you're dating. How does your process for writing songs work? Alexx: It kind of varies. Dennis is a master arranger and creates all these awesome soundscapes that you hear in our music. You can hear him from a mile away (stylistically speaking). I'm the harmony and melody person (and yes, Dennis comes up with that stuff too), and more often than not, the lyric writer, because that's always been my calling card. Sometimes, Dennis will kind of paint the picture musically and, then we'll both add the production and ear candy stuff together, if that makes any sense. Sometimes, I'll play him a melody and write some lyrics, and he'll build the music. It just depends; there's no real set structure. More often than not, we both kind of write independently and then come together when the endoskeleton is complete, so to speak. Tell us about your new song "Get Out"? Alexx: "Get Out" is a very anthemic song about depression and mental illness, and battling one's inner demons. I played the original idea for Dennis a while ago, and being the tormented, self-doubting artist that I am, I wasn't even sure if it was something worth building and shaping. Well, Dennis loved it, so we began fleshing it out, and it eventually turned out to be what it is now. However, the recording process of this song was not easy. We essentially re-tracked and/or reproduced the song 3 times because we weren't getting what we wanted with it. It was kind of a nightmare, but for this song, it works, because you can hear the frustration and angst in there. It's authentic frustration and angst. We wanted the shit to be done already, haha. What can we expect next from Batfarm? Alexx: Next on the docket is releasing our next song, "Now That You're Gone." This is a song we wrote probably 10 years ago about suicide, and what happens to those you leave behind. You know, the usual lighthearted Batfarm fare. We'll be releasing our new as of yet untitled EP in a few months as well. It's been a long time coming, and we're quite excited. It's sure to be "bat ass." • “Peach Tea” by Briar Has Us Cooled Down And Relaxed

Independent band Briar is non-genre-specific featuring Oscar Eck from Wisconsin, Tim Laha from Kentucky, Jason Duffy from New York and Nathan Blain from Los Angeles. In the fall of 2018 the group met at Belmont University and have been making music together ever since. On a mission to pave a lane of their own and bend genres with Oscar’s song writing, Tim’s lead guitar and Nathan and Jason’s Production. Briar plans to drop three more singles this summer on top of the Pop/EDM banger “Falling Back” and the Alternative R&B track “Peach Tea” and will be returning to Nashville to play some gigs. Starting off with a jazzy feel, “Peach Tea” picks up some flare adding in a pop sound that really solidifies that this is an all genre band. The exceptional talent it takes to be able to play music that classifies in more than one genre is really impressive. The vocals in this song are super relaxing and filled with vivacious sounds. In hop the retro sounds that are adding a new definition of chill to this already laid-back tune. With touching lyrics that connect well with the listener and their emotions, this songs is one to watch out for at the top of the charts. A dash of Hip Hop is sprinkled in about half way through the song adding another layer of creativity to this personality filled track. Hitting us with a new flare that is rarely seen in music and it is hard to get enough of it! I thoroughly enjoy the style that Briar is bringing to the table with this non-genre specific tune that is sure to mellow you out and leave you feeling peaceful. Relax with Briar's "Peach Tea" here, and continue reading for the artists exclusive interview! Hey Briar! Pleasure chatting with you! Can you give us a bit of background on yourselves and how you began writing music together? We all just finished our first year at Belmont together. Oscar and Nathan were living in the same building and that’s how our first single “Falling Back” came into existence. Tim was in a band in Louisville, Jason was in a band in Rochester, Oscar was writing and releasing solo stuff in Milwaukee, and Nathan was doing everything from DJing sets in Los Angeles to playing in bands in Shanghai. We all became good friends early on in college and the music just came organically after that. You have such a unique style of music, where do you draw influence and inspiration for your music? We have an unusual dynamic to our group. We’re a group of four different people who each come from unique musical backgrounds. Nathan: “As a DJ, electronic music has always served as a major inspiration throughout my music making journey. However, after moving to Nashville for school, I’ve had the opportunity to blend my electronic style with incredibly talented musicians of other genres. The result is a unique combination of various sounds and styles.” Oscar: “My sister started writing and recording music in her bedroom when she was sixteen and she inspired me to do the same. I gather inspiration from Brent Faiyaz, IshDARR, The 1975, Frank Ocean, Mac Demarco, Juto and Sam Tompkins. Skateboarding also inspires me to make music. Whether it’s watching videos like IC3, or skating with my friends; I’m always left inspired to create.” Jason: “I had a garage rock band throughout high school and we gigged a little bit. At the time I was inspired a lot by west coast punk bands, Wavves and FIDLAR were my two biggest sources of inspiration at the time. Since then my tastes have expanded a ton. Anything from Mitski to Death grips I want to cover in some way, shape or form.” Tim: “As a guitar player and songwriter, I have drawn my inspiration from all sorts of genres. The bands that make me want to write and play music are Pearl Jam, Bully, Ramones, Fugazi, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc. After meeting Oscar, Nathan, and Jason, my horizons have widened by listening to artists such as Juto and Tyler the Creator.” What is the meaning behind “Peach Tea” and did you have any challenges when writing it? Oscar: “Nathan made the beat and killed it, as usual. After hearing this infectious guitar with a playful synth, I was inspired to write a fun song for my girlfriend. She’s from Georgia and always tells me that there are no peaches that compare to the peaches from her hometown. She’s just the sweetest human being with no bad bone in her body. So, when I say, “You hold my heart, you’re my sweet Georgia peach,” there really isn’t a better way to put it. We love to go out on the weekends and just see where the night takes us, so I really tried to embody the positive/spontaneous energy of a night with her in this song. The only challenge I really had when writing it was writing lyrics that best represented the emotions I feel for this woman in a way that was still relatable and fun to sing along with. The consumption of peach tea was also an essential component to the creation of this song. Nathan: “The beat was driven by the guitar... and I built the rest of the beat around that.” Being a non-genre-specific band you have many different sounds, are there any that you as a group favor more than another or do you try to make each song a blend of sounds? As a band, we never go into the songwriting/recording process with a specific sound in mind. When we come together, we create a space with an array of different sources of inspiration, and ideas of how to express ourselves and our message. We just search for what the song needs, then we look for a way to keep things fresh. We have a song that’s about to come out called “Mediocre Memories” where Oscar brought the song to the group and while we were recording, the song just felt like it needed a guitar solo from Tim and some keys from Nathan and Jason. This is just an example of how we blend styles to create the best possible sound for each idea. What can we expect from Briar in 2019? So much more. Peach Tea is the first single of a 5-single body of music called WOODY. The next four singles are dropping in the next few weeks; following a theme of nostalgia, love, and growth. We plan to come back to Nashville next fall to play gigs, work on music videos, and continue to grow in our music and any other creative venture we plan on pursuing. We just want to shake things up and keep the supporters guessing on what we’ve got in store for them. Connect and follow Briar on the artists Instagram! #BuzzMusic

I’ve been singing my entire life, but I really started to write my own songs back in college. I’m addicted to catchy hooks and songs that are inventive but really easy to catch on to. What is the meaning of “All About Us”? All About Us is about that rush you get when you go out and meet someone unexpectedly. It’s the best feeling and I wanted to capture that in a song and tell a story about spontaneity and affection for someone. And something you can dance to! Who are your musical influences? It’s such a melting pot of influences I have, mainly from pop music and Christian music I was always around growing up. So Britney Spears, Usher, Hillsong, Diana Ross, who my mother loves, Gaga, literally so much! I think it all ended up contributing to my sound and thought process when writing. What about the LA music scene is helpful in furthering your career in music? I would say the accessibility to producers, other artists, videographers, photographers, I feel like it’s always been a network and team of people I’ve relied on to help me launch my music, and being in LA is awesome for that. I had a passion for music from childhood, starting dance (ballet) at three I feel my love of performing started then, with the love of pop music coming as I got older watching MTV and music videos creating a dream that I have followed to this day. There was always music played in my childhood home with dad listening to his favourite bands on the record player. My first attempt at writing was more like poetry and journals . Around 18/19 years of age one of my singing teachers encouraged me to start writing lyrics. What is the meaning behind “Hesitate”? • Our Violet Room Gives Us Broken Vows On “Till Death”

"You are gone love”. The opening line on Our Violet Room newest track “Till Death” gives a glimpse of foreshadowing of  he heart ache that encompasses these lyrics. Lyrics like: “ here I go live, to start my life without the one that I though get I’d love until death”, the disappointment I raw, poignant and ghostly. Lead vocals are sung with a soft and meaningful voice that is accompanied by simple yet lovely acoustic guitar chords and an echoey, steadfast drum and that haunts the chorus. Our Violet Room is an indie singer/songwriter from LA, now stationed in Denver, Co. He’s stilled at craft omg deep meaningful lyrics that are paired with the innate ability to score catchy melodies. Our VioletRoom has been described by listeners as “painful but necessary songs that will break your heart, make you fell and give you hope again”. And with that, “Till Death” is now streaming for your listening pleasure Listen to "Till Death" here and get to know more about Our Violet Room below! Hello! We loved your latest single “Till Death”. Can you tell us the meaning of this heartfelt song? This song was birthed out of the loss of my marriage. A divorce I didn’t want and the pain that came form that. I’ve never been one for sugarcoating hard truths and this world is not only full of beauty but it’s full of pain and I’m tired of people felling like they have pretend that their lives are better then they are. I want my art to start a conversation. A conversation based in truth, pain, beauty and hope. Once we become more free to be vulnerable and realize we aren’t alone the more we can come along side each other,  help one another and grow.  This song, which I feel is beautiful,  came from something ugly. We can make beauty from darkness in our art and out of our lives. What does the creative  process look like for you? I start with a guitar picking pattern and chord progression. Once that’s down I start singing diffent melodies. Once I have a melody that sticks I start adding lyrics. That entire process maybe takes a week but the actual writing of my lyrics usually, on average, takes about 10 mins. Who are you currently listening to your that brings you inspiration? I’m always listening to the following musicians constantly for endless inspiration. Lyrically John Moreland, David Ramirez, Dylan and Cash.  Sonically Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Thomas Newton. Melodically, old Coldplay, Sufjan, the National And Bon Iver. Any big plans in the works for your this year for your music? Working on a new ep. I’ll be touring the states and Europe with Sofar Sounds and on my own. And I just signed a licensing contract to score tv shows and movies and to have my own songs synced for tv and movies too. What are you hoping that your music brings to audiences? I want my music to make people feel, think and to be inspired. I want my music to bring truth and beauty into their lives and to inspire them all to create something beautiful. Connect with Our Violet Room through the artists Instagram! #BuzzMusic

  • Throw Away Your Parachute and Jump Into “Free Fall” by Hit Artist Kimono Pat

Kimono Pat is a multi-talented singer, rapper, producer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. Influenced by the Anime and Japanese cultures with sounds that are worldly, high energy urban pop vibes that touch on concepts of love and life. Kimono Pat’s love for music began at a young age and in the 3rd grade, he started playing drums and piano in church. He later began to play the trumpet throughout junior high school and college, studying at both Alabama A&M and Los Angeles Recording School. During this time he was introduced to animation and anime thus inspiring his love for Japanese culture. He honed in on his skills as a solo recording artist while traveling and living overseas and since he has been back he has fully immersed himself into the culture, is currently learning Japanese and has found a second home in Little Tokyo (Los Angeles). On April 12, 2019 the self-title Ep and music video “Free Fall” was released on all digital platforms. Kimono Pat is working on creating more video content for other singles on the project and has landed placements on ABC and Google/Amazon Video. This entrancing and funky tune absolutely has that Japanese culture feel to it. With so many different layers scattered throughout this song, it gives real depth to the track and helps with the emphasis Kimono Pat puts on the lyrics. He is able to emulate his emotions extremely well through each lyric, and has a very unique style to the tone of this vocals. With lines like “You don’t need a parachute, let my love carry you home” you can really feel that this is almost a sort of love song, describing how he would support his partner and love them. It really is touching to hear the different ways that love can be presented through music and this track has a certain finesse that makes it unlike any other ballad you would hear. I personally enjoyed the flow of beats in the track and how each different sound blends so seamlessly together to create such a lively song. If you are looking for an out there song that is bringing in a new style to modern music that is hauntingly good, then look no further because Kimono Pat has you covered. Listen to "Free Fall" here and get to know more about Kimono Pat below! Hey Kimono Pat! Thank you for chatting with us! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? Hey thanks for having me! Well, I’m a country boy raised in Loachapoka, Alabama. Believe it or not, I actually grew up on a farm that my Grandfather owned with cows, goats, and horses, no cap. So I had a pretty humble upbringing. I started playing the drums in church as a way to keep me awake and not fall asleep in service lol…then I taught myself piano. Shortly after that, I started playing trumpet in middle school through college.I started making beats in elementary school because I had a small tape recorder and I used to record sounds from me beating on the table and beatboxing. I didn’t have recording software until junior high school so I worked with what I had. After studying music in college (Alabama A&M), I moved back home and started my own band called Suspended Animation where I was writing and producing all of the music. We started traveling doing shows in the south and then we later dismantled because of ambitious differences. I moved to Los Angeles right after that with no money and no plan and then found myself enrolling at Los Angeles Recording School. There I learned more about the ends and outs of audio engineering. Shortly after I started producing for The Rangers (Kid Ink’s brother was one of the members). It was a fun experience and it pushed me beyond where I thought I could go creatively. After that, I started focusing more on producing for myself and honing in on my skills as a solo artist. What drew you into the Anime and Japanese culture that has helped shape your music? When I was a kid I was obsessed with Final Fantasy VII and fell in love with the music on the game. From there I got interested in anime and the way they displayed strong emotion in their storytelling. That captivated me. The messages in those stories talked about pushing yourself and believing in yourself and that you have the power to make a change on a large scale, and also believing in the good in people. I then started watching Japanese films and I thought the way they used their colors was unique. Even in movies that don’t have a lot of dialogue, they allowed the music to convey their emotions. That just spoke to me ya know. So all of that influenced me to add nuances of the culture into my music. What is the meaning and inspiration behind “Free Fall”? Sooooo sometimes we allow ourselves to be content. Whether that’s intentional or unintentional, we fear the thought of giving up control and sometimes the best things for us is right around the corner. In order to get to it, we have to surrender control. Free Fall is a song that is encouraging people to let go and trust. I felt like that’s what God was telling me; that my next best thing was right around the corner. Like, in order for me to level up I had to let go because I was only getting so far on my own. Are there any inspirations that help you write music? And have there been any challenges with writing in such a unique genre? Life lol…the good, the bad, and the ugly. I used to dread the ugliness in life, but even in those moments there is good to be learned, so now I just embrace it What’s new for you in 2019? 2019 is already off to a great start. I just dropped the Kimono Pat EP, now streaming everywhere! I have new management and we’re starting to put together a plan of action for my career. I want to start collaborating with more artists and focus on building my fan base. I’m also going to be releasing more video content for the songs off my EP and look forward to doing shows in L.A. • NEW MUSIC: Ellie D Drops Indie-Pop Hit “Picture It”

Southern California native ellie d. is an eclectic, up and coming, indie-pop artist with a flare for modern sound. Transitioning back to her hometown of LA, ellie d. describes music as a grounding force that helps her along the way. Her unique style and arrangements are thanks to her upbringing listening to rock legends like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billy Joel, and Fleetwood Mac. This gives ellie d. a timeless vibe fused with a more mainstream indie-pop sound. “Picture It” is a vibrant new single released today that features an addicting beat and melody. Ellie d.’s voice is soft and pretty but consistent and hypnotizing. I like that the catchy beat and tone of the song never over power her vocals. Just like that title implies “Picture It” allows the listening to paint a soundscape in their mind. My favorite lyric is “wanting to change simply to please the next circle” because I feel like that’s the important and lush meaning behind the song. The electronic arrangements in this track are always a fresh twist to what were used to when it comes to indie pop. “Moving in place so fast, that’s the truth” is another lyric that resonates with me. I feel like ellie d. wants us to slow down and enjoy the musical journey her beautiful voice takes us on. We’re so glad that ellie d. continues to deliver awakening new tracks and we’re here for whatever comes next! Bravo ellie d. Listen to "Picture It" here and get to know more about ellie d below! Hey Ellie! Can you tell us more about yourself and the introduction of music in your life? Hey! My name is Ellie and I am from Los Angeles, California. I have loved music since as long as I can remember. There was always music playing in the house growing up and my dad raised us on a bunch of classic rock. He was actually in a rock band in college! I was raised listening to The Who, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Fleetwood Mac, and more. What inspired you to write “Picture It”? What’s it about? I grew up in Los Angeles and absolutely love this place. I went away for college and just moved back, so the songs that I have been working on recently have been inspired by LA and my transition back home. Los Angles is a beautiful place and there is a laid back, mellow atmosphere. However, the city can sometimes move too fast and it is easy to get caught up in the glitz and the glam. I wrote “Picture It” as a reminder to slow down and enjoy what is in front of you. Stay true to yourself and remember why you love this city so much. What are some challenges you’ve faced in your career so far How do you overcome them? I think a challenge right now starting out in the industry is learning how to manage all aspects of your artistry. Whether it’s creating the music, pitching, marketing, it has been a lot of learning as I go and understanding what processes work best. I have made mistakes but from those mistakes I learn what I can do better the next time. Another challenge that I have faced is receiving advice and feedback from people with different opinions across the board. It can be overwhelming when some people tell you to do something and others tell you the opposite. Pursuing guidance is important, however, ultimately, it is best to stay true to yourself artistically. When you are not making music, what else do you enjoy doing? When I am not making music I am spending time with my friends, family, and dog Scooby. I also love acting! Who are your musical inspirations/ dream collaborations? This is such a hard question because I love music so much and listen to everything!! I was raised on rock so that is where most of my musical inspiration is rooted. I love Stevie Nicks, Billie Joel, Elton John, and HAIM. When it comes to electronic music I think my dream collaborations would be with, Flume, Elohim, ODESZA, and Maggie Rogers. What’s next for 2019? 2019 will be full of new releases and collaborations! Very excited! • LDYKLR Shows Off Their Rock Ability With “Find Someone”

Front woman Madison is bringing her hearty mezzo-soprano voice front and center on LDYKLR’s newest single “Find someone”. Chugging guitars and pounding drums add the drama to this track and the delivery of soaring lyrics pull you in. Madison has a way of grabbing your attention with her voice, it’s on spotlight and her voice is the loudest instrument on display. “Find someone that you can’t compare to the ones you’ve had before, the ones you never will”; lyrics like that take you on a journey through loves sometimes darker side. The band hits all the right notes to create an atmosphere around the song that hooks you in and are right there searching along with the lyrics. LDYKLR is an alt-rock based in LA who have been revitalizing the local rock scene over the past two years. LDYKLR (short for lady killer) is comprised of 5 talented musicians: Madison (vocals), Nick (drums), Jesse (base), Josh and Elijah on guitar. The group is currently working hard in studio writing and recording their debut EP slated for release later this year. “Find Someone” hits the air waves today! Listen to "Find Someone" here and get to know more about LDYKLR below! Hello LDYKLR! Thank you for speaking to Buzz Music. Can you tell our readers a bit more about yourselves and how you came together to form LDYKLR? Well we didn’t come together in a very typical way at all.  I (Madison) had just finished recording a solo EP with the intention of using that to create a band and recruit musicians who had the same interests as me and dug the sound.  I posted a couple ads on Craigslist and other “find musicians” sites and hoped for the best. Eventually it became the four of us for about a year with me playing guitar as well, but we knew there was something missing.  Josh was playing bass with us because he really loved the music, but he was a guitarist first, and I wasn’t.  I had been in contact with Jesse since starting the band, and finally asked if he was looking for another group to play bass in.  From there Josh moved to guitar and I could just focus on the singing.  We’ve been a five piece since November of 2018 and we have been writing like crazy.  We definitely found what we needed and it’s been so helpful towards our creative process.  Before we were struggling with finding our “sound”, but it’s so nice now for us all to be on the same page and know exactly what we want as a band. Can you tell us the meaning of Find Someone? This single Madison actually wrote about six years ago.  It’s gone through so many different styles from arrangement to how it’s produced, and we love where it landed.  It was actually on her solo EP she used create the band, and it’s changed so much since then to show each of our individual styles as a band unit.  “Find Someone” is an emotionally driving ballad about a toxic relationship that everyone around you knows it’s toxic except for you.  It’s in the perspective of a girl having everyone around her telling her that it’s not right, but she just doesn’t understand or see what they mean.  This changes in the bridge of the song as it’s describing someone saying “you deserve more” until finally she realizes “I deserve more”.  The song encourages you to take time, don’t rush it, and find the person that won’t even compare to anyone before or potentially would be in the future.  I think a lot of people have been in that relationship that you’re so blind to while you’re in it, but the second you get out it all becomes so clear.  That time of being stuck in it is hard for everyone around you, and is really difficult to overcome. What does the bands creative process look like? We’ve really worked hard to hone in on our creative process.  Just in the past few weeks we’ve written 5 new songs, and are so excited for that.  A lot of times Madison will bring in lyrics that she’s writing or an overall idea, and then we’ll all just start jamming on it until something clicks.  Sometimes Nick and Jesse will start with a really cool beat and bass line, or Josh and Elijah will be playing with different dueling guitars.  It all just depends on the day really.  A lot of times what we start with becomes completely different than how we planned it or heard in our head, which I think speaks a lot to how different our styles and influences are but how well they all work together. What can we expect to hear from your EP out later this year? You can expect a lot of badass music!  Our writing has become more and more focused and we can NOT wait to show everyone what we have coming.  Our lead guitars are very ambient and synth-like while our rhythm guitars stay crunching and driving.  The bass line is always moving and has a touch of funk which ads such a cool tone to the music.  The drums are fat leave nothing to be desired, and the vocals are powerful and soaring.  We’re so proud of the sound we’ve created.  Each member gives it their all and we hope that shows through in each song we record.  You can expect some really fun moody songs, some “belt in your car” ballads, some emotional rollercoasters, we’re really just running you through the gamut of feels. What are you hopeful for the next year? We LOVE playing live.  All we want to do is put on a great show, so we’d say we’re hopefully for more opportunities to reach bigger audiences.  We’d love to travel more and continue to meet people that really connect with our music.   At the core of it we just want to keep making music that speaks to people for whatever they might be going through.  We want to be that release for people to escape to and let go.  And make them headband.  There’s always that too. The introduction of this track only gives this song a slight look into what you are given. This track is filled with eclectic beats and sounds through and through! I really enjoy the diverse blends in the production of this song. There is almost like a DJ scratch that syncs up with the vocals in this track. And even as you get deeper and deeper into the song you find so many different surprises! Like during the climax of the song there is an entirely new sound and feel brought into the track. It gives it an anthem, dance like feel. It is super catchy and rhythmic! Then he brings the vocals back in to show us he is multi talented. This track really does take you through cloud 9 and kudos to being you Evan and making a sound all your own! Listen to "Cloud Nine" here and get to know more about Evan Croft below! Hey Evan! Could you kindly introduce yourself to our readers? Hello everyone, my name is Evan Croft. I’m a Canadian indie artist from Toronto, Ontario. I’ve been singing for 13 years and I decided to become a musical artist at the age of 18. So far, I’ve released two mixtapes, two singles and I’ve been an opener for Curtis Young. How has being born and raised in Canada influenced your sound? I try to make my music have meaning instead of just throwing lyrics together and calling it a song. What is your most favorite thing about creating music? Trying to write new lyrics, trying new sounds, collabing with other artists/producers, hearing new beats, the list goes on. Can you give us some insight to the track “Cloud Nine”? Cloud Nine is the first single I released from my third upcoming mixtape on January 22, 2019. The song is about feeling like you’re floating as high as the clouds when you’re beside the person you love. I added a rap verse in the song to show my different range. What are you currently working on musically? What's next for you? I recently released a new single called A Ride Called Life on April 23rd. It talks about my understanding of life and what I think it’s about. I have two more singles planned for 2019 before I release my third mixtape in 2020.
