“My goals for the music industry is to amass a healthy and respectable catalog which will have generations vibin forever.” “I do music because I am passionate about it and I think this could ultimately change my life and the people around me.” These are the words from the next rising hip hop superstar sensation out of Miami, Florida, K Charles. His style reminds you of the 90’s retro with a refreshing sound that floats over any beat. Some of K Charles major influences includes Kanye West, ASAP Rocky, Big Sean, Sampha, and Wiz. K Charles current single “Georgetown” is a very hypnotic and colorful track that has caught the eyes of the Rolling Stone founders in which includes Zingler and Tariq Cheriff. This led to K Charles being invited to perform in front of thousands of people at the Rolling Loud Miami Edition. We listened to “GeorgeTown” and it was a dope, saucy song that brought together elements of lush trap and rugged pop. K Charles is a rapper who delivers his aura through his music. “Georgetown” has this booming beat in which you find yourself head-bopping alongside the rhythm. The cadence of “Georgetown” was arranged perfectly for the song to be transported in the correct way. “GeorgeTown” is also ditty and dance-able which makes it a perfect single to be used at any local party you wanted to throw. The bass is just so slapping that it’s one of those “get turnt” too records. The energy in “Georgetown” was eclectic and euphoric and we loved that quality about it most. With a golden and fluid flow, K Charles delivered the lyrics with a clean-slated projection. The high-sounding and honeyed track is improvised alongside addictive. We can’t help but thank K Charles for giving us this jaunty hip-hop jam that doesn’t emphasize on the stereotypes of rap music, but instead creates his own definition of it! Listen to "Georgetown" here and get to know more about K. Charles below! What are some challenges you’ve faced in your career so far and how did you overcome these challenges? he hardest challenge I've faced in my career was putting together a team that could help me push my brand. I overcame this challenge by collaborating with Fway Entertainment a talent management company based out of Miami. Tell us about “GeorgeTown” and the meaning behind it? The meaning behind Georgetown was crazy yet simple. One day i was in the studio finally recording a record I had written almost two months ago to this beat by this producer called Thatboyslim. When i finally end up finishing the record i never thought of a song title, so my engineer asked me what was i gonna call the record. I end up looking down at the shirt that i had on that day and it end up being a Georgetown Shirt. What inspired you to write “GeorgeTown” ? What inspired me to write Georgetown was Project X. One day i was sitting in the crib watching a marathon of movie than i stumbled on the movie and i was like how can i make a record just as lit as the movie. Then i wrote the hook while i was replaying the party scene How does the title reflect the theme of the song? The title reflect the theme of the song because of the vibe of college and the refreshing feeling of the track goes hand and hand. Perfectly matching the tempo of the youth. What’s next for you? • Surefire’s New Single “Say” Is Bringing The Fire

Surefire is a band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that is made up of two musicians/songwriters and was created by a family that feels that music can bring you closer to someone else and strengthen an already unbreakable bond formed by a family. Natalie Flango and Jason Duty are in-laws and formed Surefire to merge passions and communicate stories through chords and lyrics. Natalie is a Dylanesque vocal guru and Jason is a master of zoned-out finger picking and angelic humming making this duo the perfect match. Surefire is the perfect name for a band that has such a fiery single like “Say” is. This eclectic band is hard to pin into one genre as they have a very country rock sound to their music. Natalie’s voice starts the song off with a powerful but soothing tone that tricks you into thinking this is going to be a laid-back, mellow song. If buoyant and positive is what you’re looking for then go no further! With raspy tones and subtle harmonies each complementing the other, this song is sure to get your head bobbing. Natalie has a very Stevie Nicks sounding voice that is relaxing to listen to and gives character to this flowing tune. Her range is quite vast and she showcases that clearly throughout the song. The drums sound very technical and skilled helping the rhythm flow easily and the guitar helps express the emotion that is clearly behind each lyric. Each lyric has passion behind it that clearly is emulated through Natalie’s voice and it is very clear that both are experienced lyricists. Going on a road trip? This is absolutely a song you want on your playlist to get you pumped up and ready for adventure. Listen to "Say" here and get to know more about Surefire below! Hey Surefire! Pleasure to chat with you. Can you tell us a bit about yourselves? J - We are a new pop/rock duo from Pittsburgh (and brother and sister-in-laws). We have been 'kind-of' at it for about 2 years when we were living in different states but really got rolling this past July when Natalie moved back to Pittsburgh. It's a lot easier to write, and record and rehearse from the same city. We're just getting started and we're super excited about our new single 'Say' N- Yeah the music just started as kind of an experiment but we just kept going and started performing and recording. Now here we are releasing the first of 3 singles this year. It's pretty cool. What made you two decide to form Surefire? J - After I married Natalie's sister, we started seeing more of each other...Natalie showed me a song she wrote and we started working on it...recorded a demo on a super old version of Pro-tools on a computer that barely worked and thought...'this is pretty good'. It turned out to be the first song on our 2017 EP 'For What It's Worth' called 'Bullet in the Gun' (it's a metaphor :)) N- It was also a way for us to bond when we became family and we were (and still are) very different people. We didn't have much to talk about until we realized that we had  really similar musical interests. It all just kind of worked out. Have there been any challenges thus far from being Family and in a band? J - I'd say there is a bit of separation of church and state. Our families have been nothing but supportive, the most supportive, actually. But we don't trade lyrics and work through set lists at family gatherings...we save that for our own time. It helps a bit too because we're stuck with each other. N-Yeah the family definitely tries to make suggestions here and there, which we ignore out of love. It's our own autonomous thing. It's kind of developed to where we're bandmates and songwriters that just happen to be related. Where did you get inspiration to write “Say”? N- It actually came to me after a particularly weird and long night out with some new friends. They had convinced me to go out after I had been laying low after a breakup, and mischief ensued. I won't get into a lot of details but the song covers a lot of it. Let's just say that the song was written the next afternoon while I nursed a bottle of gatorade. J - ...and when she first sang the '...day is done...', I was like, damn gurlllllll...this is gonna be a hit! What can we expect in 2019 from Surefire? J - Well, 'Say' is the first of three singles we plan to release in 2019...we are currently compiling some new songs for a full-length. But in the meantime, we plan to play out as much as possible and meet as many other talented artists in Pittsburgh (and hopefully beyond)! N- I plan on launching a successful solo career and leaving the name Surefire behind me. I'm totally kidding. We're recording the new singles and writing new material for our full length which will be the follow up to our debut EP. • New York City Based Rockers Four Trips Ahead Release Pounding New Single Called “Bring Me Down”

Four Trips Ahead is a band from New York City. Their latest full-length album is called “...And The Fire Within”. This album was produced by lead vocalist Peter Wilson, and the tracks were mixed by Johnny Nice (Amy Lee, Joel Hoekstra, Rihanna) and Grammy and Emmy award-winning engineer Nick Cipriano (Dream Theater, Twisted Sister, Erasure, Donald Fagen) at Spin Recording Studios and mastered by notorious mastering engineer Roger Lian (Muse, Rush, Slayer, Pantera, Coheed and Cambria). About their newest album, Good Times Magazine said that Four Trips Ahead is “The Best of ReverbNation: Long Island and New York.” Their album “...And The Fire Within” has been successful on the radio, charting for 8 consecutive weeks in Metal Contraband’s National Top 50 Radio Charts, with its highest placement at #34 garnering a heavy rotation on American college, commercial and specialty Hard Rock and Metal radio formats. “Bring Me Down” is a new single released by Four Trips Ahead. This band’s sinister sound and rock and roll attitude is obvious from the get go. The groove that opens the song is reminiscent of hard rock bands from years past, but with a modern twist. The vocals are guttural, growling, and have the perfect timbre for hard rock. The groove, while simple in nature, is the perfect backdrop to all the verses. The guitar work that breaks up the song in the middle is precise and has that classic face-melting quality that everyone knows and loves. It is clear from this song that Four Trips Ahead is a seasoned band with a well-established sound and method. This single stands up with some of the best the hard rock genre has to offer, and we highly recommend you give “Bring Me Down” a listen today! Listen to "Bring Me Down" here and get to know more about Four Trips Ahead below! Thanks for catching up with us! Being from New York City, how would you describe the rock music scene there? Has it changed a lot recently? The explosive NYC rock music scene that we came up in is not really present anymore. There are less places to play in the five boroughs and most promoters and venues expect bands to do virtually all of the work rather than trying to help cultivate original artists and music scenes. More directly, NYC real estate has killed music and art spaces. New York still boasts some of the most innovative and creative artists in the world. And we love performing in our hometown—it’s truly special. I just wish there was more support to help promote the local scene and build more shows where audiences were treated to several great bands and artists on one bill. Who would you say are your biggest collective artistic influences? This is a very hard response to give with our diverse tastes and backgrounds—Queen, David Bowie, The Wailers, Thin Lizzy, Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, the Beatles, Nina Simone, Sly + the Family Stone, Led Zeppelin, Bad Brains, King’s X, Tool, KISS, Van Halen, Metallica, Aerosmith, Faith No More, Rush, Soundgarden, Stevie Wonder, Living Colour, Peter Gabriel, NIN, Seal, Marillion, STP, Kate Bush, Meshuggah, Steel Pulse and Prince as well as a host of others. What is your method like for writing? How does the music go from basic ideas to a fully- fledged song? The chemistry in Four Trips Ahead is central to our writing. Generally, guitar and bass riffs, drum beats and vocal melodies are freely shared and we all vibe off what each other is playing. There’s a great deal of trust and openness when we write which I have grown to value deeply. Sometimes, choruses come first, other times it’s verses or bridges. Or sometimes, a wave of great pieces all come out almost at once which is a fully realized song. I usually have a lot of homework as I tend to overwrite lyrics and sing different configurations in rehearsals and during pre-production sessions. Eventually when tracking, I finally commit to stanzas that best capture the spirit and message of the song. We also use the live stage to try out new songs to get the audience reactions from our new material before we commit music to tape so to speak. And during basic tracking, we play live together as we do at our rehearsal space to capture the same magic vibe that came when writing something new that we are excited about. You definitely nailed the hard rock sound. Is this something that has always come naturally by the band or did you spend lots of time refining it? Hard rock and metal music are in our individual and collective DNA. I think it’s our natural approach to what we write and how we play in FTA. Through rehearsals, writing sessions, recording, and live shows as well as spending time together, we have honed the big FTA sound, although I think you can hear lots of other influences within our music other than just hard rock. All good music that is soulful and sincere has flashes of different musical genres. What can we hope to see from Four Trips Ahead in the future? Currently, we are smack in the middle of recording our new album at Spin Recording Studios in Long Island City. Other than some additional guitars and a few background vocals, we are nearly done with five new songs with the intention to release a single this fall. Once we confirm what will be our first single, we will shoot a video, hopefully something thematic as our new album is really shaping up to call for it. Continuing in heavy writing mode, we have the intention on solidifying and tracking five more songs in the coming months for a spring 2020 full album release. We also have some interesting things developing with regard to our last album, “…And The Fire Within,” that I can’t divulge just yet. Four Trips Ahead is booking a few shows in the summer and fall where we will debut lots of the new material in our sets. We are super excited about everyone finally hearing what we’ve been up to for the past few months. • R A M Z I E Released A Summer Hit “San Diego”!

R A M Z I E is an 18 year old artist from Georgia who raps, sings, produces, mixes, AND masters! He’s not only looking to get more exposure in the music world, but to build clientele as well. R A M Z I E released his original single, “San Diego” and it began with a delightful and multi-colored introduction. The beat transformed into a bright trap beat. The beat sounded like a super dope twist on “elevator music” and we were in love with it! But the beat isn’t the only attractive element to “San Diego”, R A M Z I E's fire delivery and intricate approach to hip-hop is what turned us into fans! Ramzie correctly projected a transporting energy through “San Diego” in which captures its listeners and affect them with a contagious appeal. Artists like R A M Z I E are super rare and non-typical nowadays. One who manufactures his own music through production AND excel by performing it. He delivers his own dimension to his music by having the ability to freely create the sound and story he personally wants the song to be a reflection of and it’s incredible! We can see ourselves jamming through the summer with this cooling hit and we have to thank R A M Z I E for providing it! If you’re looking for a nice tune to play during the hot days, then R A M Z I Es “San Diego” is here to provide that west-coast flare  to an artist from the South! Catch R A M Z I E 's "San Diego" here, and check below for the artists exclusive interview with BuzzMusic! Hello! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got into music? I go by R A M Z I E; I grew up in small town called Monroe, Georgia. I Started making music in high school and I’ve been progressing, in relation to quality, very rapidly. When I was younger I always wanted to be a singer because my dad would play Michael Jackson for me whenever we were together, but I wasn’t confident enough in my singing ability so I decided to just produce music until the end of my Junior Year of High school and I picked up rapping with my friend AJ. By then I was a little bit more confident in my singing but I realized I also had a talent for rapping and I ran with both and I believe it to be apparent in my music. Tell us about “San Diego “ and the meaning behind it? When I was growing up I was always told that I am handsome and I never really believed them until I graduated college. By the time I made the song I was already hella confident body-wise and I decided to rap about it. The song is also interpreted as “hot” being  well known or of high recognition which I know I will be sooner than I think, but I will admit I am impatient sometimes. What inspired you to write “San Diego”? The inspiration behind the beat was “History” by rich Brian and from there I let my flows guide the words that I said. Other subject influences, evident in the lyrics, are Smash Bros and Maison Margiela fashion. What do you personally enjoy doing more and why? Production or performing? I really enjoy the production of the music. When I’m mixing and it all comes together smoothly it makes me happy. That’s been becoming more of a consistent thing, but every now and then I’ll run into complications with that stage. With San Diego I sent the vocals to @jonsambrick just to see how it would sound to have someone else do that part for me. I was not disappointed. I haven’t gotten an opportunity to perform yet, but that opportunity will soon be arising. What can we expect next for you? Expect a music video for my song “The One,” my feature on @theylovefrioo track “Friendzone” coming out on 4/19/19, a music video for “San Diego”, and new music from me soon. • Forget Me Not Releases Mesmerizing New EP “Drama”

Forget Me Not is a husband and wife duo from Seattle, Washington. Ryan and Amanda Cariker are an eccentric indie/pop, electroacoustic group. They specialize in diverse instrumentals, spectacular acoustics, powerful bass beats and vivid melodies. Ryan Cariker focuses his raw energy into lead vocals, production and guitar. Amanda Cariker’s vocals are harmonically-rich and the perfect contrast alongside Ryan. Amanda is also an accomplished songwriter. Forget Me Not’s second EP titled “Drama” delivers heartfelt lyrics and expansive sounds. The first song on the EP “WidowMaker” is a hypnotizing and catchy piece. The composition of multi-layered sounds have me blown away instantly. Ryan’s strong vocals compliment with Amanda’s soft and beautiful sound perfectly. “I’ve got the devil on my shoulder but the angel hasn’t spoken for days” is my favorite verse in “WidowMaker” because it’s delivered so delicately but holds so much weight. The upbeat arrangement has me tapping my feet while Ryan sings “Dig me a shallow grave”. “WidowMaker” is ironic and brilliant. “Drama” is the second song on the same titled EP. It’s a more melancholy and intoxicating piece but still keeps up with the vibrant electroacoustic sound that Forget Me Not are known for. We hear a softer side to Ryan’s voice in this song. Amanda’s vocals are consistently polished and timeless. “Drama” is about the drama and ups and downs after a breakup. Amanda recites “You won’t find me running on back to you” to get this message across. When Ryan sings “And do we still meet when you dream? Making nightmares in your head” I got chills! The lyrics are haunting and alluring. I really enjoy the orchestral aesthetics in this composition, it’s chilling and transcendent and over all beautiful. For the third and final song on the EP “Drama”, Forget Me Not calibrated the entrancing “The Business Of Drowning”. In Amanda’s introduction she says “Submitting this for the approval of The Midnight Society, I call this tale The Business Of Drowning” and all of my Are You Afraid Of The Dark flashbacks came to life. “The Business Of Drowning” is not quite a horror story though. It’s fresh and melodic and boasts an indie/pop love anthem vibe. The guitar in this song is breathtaking, the vocals are once again flawless and the overall audio production is seamless. Ryan Cariker and Amanda Cariker have created something so exemplary and finely-calibrated. The chemistry between them is delightful and I can’t wait to see what’s next for this dynamic duo, Forget Me Not. Check out the album "Drama" here. Read more with Ryan and Amanda below! When did you two start working together? R: We got serious about writing together in 2016 after I left the band I had been in for years. I wanted to start making music that I was passionate about. A: In 2017/18 we started performing our songs and we’ve since released two EP’s together. Who are your musical inspirations that have helped share (shape?) your careers in the music industry? R: I love music that expresses emotion in extreme/different forms and the first ones that come to mind are Knocked Loose, Wu Tang and Enya. A: I’d have to give a heavy nod to Led Zeppelin, TSwift & all 90s hip/hop, R&B Would you ever consider expanding Forget Me Not a larger group? Why? Why not? R: I spent the first decade of my music career writing and touring with other musicians. But now that I have the perfect tour mate & partner to share it with I can’t imagine anything outside this duo. A: Yeah, nothing beats doing what you love with the one you love. Can you tell us the message behind each song on this EP and the overall theme? A: ‘Drama’ was just something I really wanted to sing. Once the guitar was laid down we built melodies quickly with lyrics we felt were as easy going as the song itself. R: Amanda really inspired this one, I laid down guitar and she sort of did the rest. R: WidowMaker was a track we started writing on our first tour together. What we are doing together is special and important, but it doesn’t come without its hardships. This song speaks to those darker moments, but in a persevering kind of way. A: I’m personally obsessed with this song. It became one of my favorites after we rearranged it a bit over the last few months. Ryan really brought this one to life multiple times and in proud of where we landed. A: The Business of Drowning is a actually one of the first songs Ryan wrote in respect to Forget Me Not. It was the summer after our wedding and he was off on a pretty long tour with his band at the time. R: it was 4th of July years ago, I’d been on the road for over a month, people not getting along and just a lot of partying - and not the fun kind where you want to be there. I really missed my wife. I think this song was a mix of coping with everything but also discovering that making my own music made me incredibly happy. Who would you compare your sound to? Hard to say, we really pride ourselves on being a sound not easily defined. Postal Service meets Alkine Trio Or imagine Enya decided to insert some nasty bass beats and male vocals into her songs. What's next for you through 2019? Always writing and always performing. We’ll be playing the Northwest Folk Life festival in Seattle on Memorial Day and releasing our latest music video for ‘Drama’ this spring. Stay connected with Forget Me Not on social media! • “RESTLESS” By Rufus Buck Will Be The Hottest Track Of The Summer!

Rufus Buck is up and coming pop/hip-hop artist and producer from the UK. He puts his heart and soul into his music.. And a little autotune and we love it. His ear for excellence has lead him to create and release his first single “RESTLESS” and we are bumping it on repeat! This first release is an ode to the last 5 years of Rufus Buck’s life and everything he’s endured. The intro to “RESTLESS” is hypnotizing and alluring. His vocals are distinctive and expressive. I love the melodious and light synths that match perfectly with the steady and deliberate back beat. Rufus Buck songwriting skills are what set him apart from other artists in today’s mainstream pop/hip-hop scene. The lyrical arrangement is so easy for Rufus’ audience to relate too. A person’s eternal struggle with slowing down their mind however that may be. “RESTLESS” is a therapeutic anthem for fans who have been through something in their life. The verses where Rufus is rapping are so appealing to hear that harder side of his voice. The meaningful lyrics are raw and powerful. It’s the perfect balance and opposite for the chorus of the song. The imaginative Rufus Buck is hoping to release a full EP this summer 2019! Stay on the lookout for this spectacular beat creator. Listen to "Restless" here and get to know more about Rufus Buck below! Can you tell us more about where you're from and how you got started in music and producing? My story is probably like many, nothing crazy. I’m from the north east of England (Sam Fender country) a small town just outside of Newcastle. i grew up playing drums around the age 12. pretty quickly i was playing clubs and pubs with my band and any one else who needed a drummer. Did that until I decided at 15 to start learning the ins and outs of live production (mainly FOH sound). I had a terrible school life (honestly wasn’t a band kid, just school was not for me)  and because I spent so much time in music venues playing/watching gigs I found myself always talking to the engineers at the venues. I was also big into theatre so I cut my teeth doing sound for musicals. That’s how I met my wife, when we where 8 doing amateur theatre with our parents. From live sound I turned to studio production. I was always asked to record my friends bands so (me and a pal) decided to open a small space to try and work with artists who wanted to release original material. We love your first single! Can you tell us more about the meaning behind it? Restless is the last five years of my life In 3mins something. I hurt my back in a water slide accident when I was on holiday in 2014. Since then I’ve had 2 spinal surgeries (one of which I am recovering from as I type this). struggled with prescription medication addiction and depression. I’ve always struggled with mental health and used my music as an outlet to get stuff off my chest. This song has been along time coming. What is your writing/ creating process like? It’s changed a lot since I hurt my back. At one time I’d lock my self away for hours until something stuck. Now I’m all laptop on the sofa with a little midi keyboard... if something catches I’ll head to the studio. I’m always making beats (I have a beatstore www.rufusbuckbeats.com) those always start melodically. But my music it’s like pulling teeth most the time. Because of the content of my songs I always spend a lot of time analysing what I am trying to say and the message I want to get across so when I finish the song that chapter has been put to bed... if that makes sense. Who are your artistic inspirations? I have so many.... growing up, my Dad was huge into prog rock bands so there was a lot of Genesis playing around the house. But I also remember growing up listening to a lot off  10cc, Queen, Adam Ant, Wham etc. From there I started exploring the obvious stuff, Lennon, The Stones, Bowie, Petty... While being in love bands like Nirvana, Blink 182, Green day, arctic monkeys, The Libertines ( i love The Libertines, my first tattoo was in tribute) The Strokes. I just liked anything that spread a message of be your self. Now my tastes are so vast I make playlists called “The OG Serious” I have 13 at the moment all with like 14 hours of music in them. And I’m them there’s anything from Father John Misty to JuiceWRLD to Ludwig Van’s Moonlight Sonata. What can we except from your much anticipated EP? Music you can dance and cry to. • Wolfgang Harte Returns With Another Stunning Song “Every Single Red Light”

It would be hard not to blow through all the stop lights on the road with Harte’s captivating new song “Every Single Red Light”, in a word its pure brilliance. Wolfgang Harte delivers a poignant masterpiece written about grief and loss that will send you through a sprint of emotion as you listen to this indie/folk/rock track. There is an unbelievable amount of energy that is emitted from Harte’s voice accompanied by sense of sweet desperation. Your heart pounds in exhilaration when you listen to “Every Single Red Light”, as you tune into the lyrics your heart breaks- “we’d talk about all this life, that just keeps on rushing by, and if only for a moment you’d still be alive”. The drums are pounding like a beating heart throughout the song, guitars surging in and out through the chords, and the constant unwavering rhythm of the tambourine centers you. Harte’s voice is filled with emotion and passion and still the lyrics in the chorus are almost like an affirmation that calms you “come the night, come whatever, we gotta keep this thing together”; this recurring idiom throughout the song is beautiful. Wolfgang Harte suffered the loss of his mother in 2017 and with that loss he made a decision to return to writing and preforming music. He found his songwriting provided an outlet for his grief and helped him digest the issues of life, death and family that he was thrown into during that time. The future seems very bright for this talented musician, you can tell how immersed Harte is with his music. “Every Single Red Light” is available to stream on Youtube, don’t miss out on this one! Check out Wolfgang Heart's interview below! Hi Wolfgang, thank you for speaking with us! It is so humbling and moving how candid you are with the loss of your mother. How do you feel as the artist telling these intimate stories through song to your audiences? Thanks. I guess song-writing for me has really been the biggest tool in dealing with my Mums’ death. I’ve tried a lot of different ways, getting smashed constantly to the point of being numb, grief counselling, trying to be healthy, talking with family and friends - all of this stuff helped to some extent and also was unable to help and in the end, I think I feel best about everything when I’m writing about it and putting it all into a song and the actual act of singing and performing is incredibly cathartic. I think the songs that have always resonated with me most are the most personal songs that people write and regardless of whether you’ve shared the specific experience or not, it’s people’s passion and emotion that you relate to or that you enjoy and people seem to response to the music well and I get a lot of nice messages off people, so yeah, for me it’s about keeping my Mum with me as I go forward and I take comfort in her being part of my music and people hearing my songs about her and our life. What kind of atmosphere do you create for yourself when getting tuned into writing a piece? In terms of the atmosphere, it’s hard to explain but when I start writing it becomes quite cinematic in my head – I can see a scene, or almost a plot, sometimes just a certain feeling that I’m trying to convey and sometimes Its frustrating because its doesn’t quite come out and other times the thoughts and feelings in my head and the words and melodies I create align and then it flows and it feels electric. Guess it’s like digging for oil. What music did you grow up listening to and was there a particular artist that made you want to get into music for yourself? Growing up music was always a huge part of my life. My Mum loved music and some of my earlier and fondest memories are times spent listening to music with her. She would have different CD’s playing from different players around the house and my Dad would be going around turning them off. My mum introduced me to nearly all of m favourite artists, Van Morrison, Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Rod Stewart, Don Williams, Kris Krisstofferson, Nanci Griffiths. Van Morrison and Rod Stewart in particular really stoked my desire to write and perform music and later on my Brother introduced me to Springsteen and that was that. Those three artists together I would say are my biggest influences. What is it like performing as a solo artist as opposed to being part of a group? Performing as a solo artist has been fucking eye opening. After struggling for ages last year to get steady band members I didn’t wanna let anymore time go by and so I decided to start performing solo. Although its obviously a lot more nerve wracking I’ve enjoyed it. There is an intensity and an intimacy with the songs and with the audience that feels incomparable to performing with a band. That being said, the power and weight of performing with a band is electrifying so I think I will always do a mixture of solo and full band shows. What are you most hopeful to see happen in the next year? Over the next year I really just want to be playing as much as possible. I’m really excited to get back into some full band shows which I will be announcing soon and just want to get to a point where I have full band shows and solo shows every month and start to build my fan base. From looking at some early streaming numbers it’s been really interesting to see that my music has been very popular in Ital and Germany so if that continues, it would be cool to get over and do some shows abroad. Guess we’ll have to see what happens with B word hahaha! Connect with Wolfgang Heart now on the artists Facebook and Instagram! #BuzzMusic

  • Margiela Rose Releases "5 Min Convos”

Margiela Rose is a Highland County, Florida upcoming teen sensation who's been making music ever since he was 12 years old. Margiela began creating beats, but since nobody would use them, he began rapping on them himself. He eventually created a rap crew called “Margiela Mafia” with his cousin and it’s currently just the two of them since the crew had some ‘beef’ with one another. With his favorite flower being a rose, it created the inspiration for his name. He claims as if his name has been changed multiple times in the past because he was unsure with what he would want to go by, but decided to stick to Margiela Rose. He aspires to inspire others to reach for their dreams and goals regardless if it’s musically related or not. He also would like to give back to his community one day as well. A young diplomat, he respects his mothers wishes of no cussing in his music, but if he is lyrical enough to tell a story, then he is lyrical enough to not cuss! Margiela Rose displays his special lyricism in his single titled “5Min Convos”. 5 Min Convos was a dope hit which utilized everything the current generation loves in a contemporary hip-hop song. The beat was addicting enough to be repeated over and over again on our playlists, party collections, and stereo rides. His rap melody was infectious enough to leave an everlasting contagious effect on its listeners especially through the hook. His delivery, and flow, was clean-slated and on point, not missing a single beat or rhythm, showing off his highly caliber rap skills. The overall swagger and flare of “5 Min Convos” gave off the impression of a radio hit. We see this song creating all the right buzz and generating mainstream play due to how outgoing, fun, and vibrant the song is. I mean, summer is coming up right? Don’t we need the summer anthem to get us feeling vacationed from our month-to month routines? Margiela Rose delivers that for us with “5 Min Convos” Listen to “5Min Convos” here and get to know more about Margiela Rose below! What are some challenges you’ve faced in your career so far? How did you overcome them challenges? One of the biggest challenges was being broke, you can’t do anything when you broke. So that meant nothing to do with music until I had money. Another hard challenge was having the time to actually record, you’d think once you then materials you need to record then you can just do it, but I’m still in school and plus I gotta do a lot of things around to help so I had tops about 1 to 2 hours to do anything with music within every 2 days, and I do everything myself all the recording and mixing so it took a long minute to finish even one song. Not until recently I even took it serious, nobody really thought I had it in me to make music like that and people still don’t believe it’s me in my music Tell us about “5 Min Convos” and the meaning behind it? 5 Min Convos was about every single girl that said ever told me something along the line a of “you’re the one for me and I’m never finna stop loving you” it’s just a release to the things they’ve said to me What inspired you to write this song? I woke up one day and I thought “wow I’m heart broke” so I went to the studio which was my room so in reality I didn’t even move, but I sat down and thought of all the times I’ve had a heart break and thought of the things they’ve told me that we’re all lies How does the title, “5 Min Convos” reflect on the theme of the record? If it’s a relationship like that where it’s all problems, you get everything out your mind real quick, 5 minutes quick. I just named the key points in the arguments in that time. What’s next for you, Margiela? Keep making hits, collab with other artists not just rappers and the such but producers too, and just generally build my name as an artist. Keep getting bigger and spreading positivity. Connect with Margiela on social media: www.soundcloud.com/margielarose/5-min-convos

  • YGM Tray Releases “No Problems”

YGM Tray is an 18 year old artist who grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. Music has always been a part of his life since he was 5 years old. He used to always simply run around the house rapping or rhyming to himself. It was his mother who helped encourage his confidence to pursue music. While growing up as a kid, his dad found himself in jail so his mother had to play both roles. Growing up in the struggle taught him how to be tough and gave him a different outlook on life. Growing up in Charleston, he says they have their own English language called “Geechie”. Although most rappers from Charleston incorporates the slang, he actually shy's away from that and puts it aside when he raps because he wants to be different. Some of YGM Tray’s influences include rappers like LOBG, Lil digga, Lil Block, and more. However, his current favorites right now are Young Pappy and YNW Melly. YGM Tray released his single titled “No Problems” and it has infectious melodies and a charismatic hook. Despite the fun and colorful energy it exudes, if you in-tune yourself with the lyrics you will discover a substantial content that’s personable to the artist. While listening to “No problems” I’ve gathered the idea of YGM Tray incorporating his personal journey and life experiences into his music. He showcases his vulnerable songwriting while making it up with a hint of charisma. It’s highly refreshing listening to an artist strip away their star appeal and become more of a relatable person. Behind every artist is a voice and a story to be heard, and YGM Tray is brave enough to share his! This is why he’s a rapper who I feel is needed in today’s generation of hip-hop culture, because everyone is so used to being transparent and made up. In our opinion, we think YGM Tray would be an influential figure to arise from South Carolina who also has what it takes to drop hits after hits! “No Problems” is a wavy hip-hop record we can add to our vibe playlists and jam out to while we wait for the anticipation to grow, surrounding YGM Tray. Listen to "No Problems" here and get to know more about YGM Tray below! What are some challenges you’ve faced in your career so far and how do you overcome them? The biggest challenge for me so far is the hate I get, but so far I take the hate and turn it into motivation. Tell us about “No Problems” and the meaning behind it? The meaning behind no problems is basically these haters talk trash but in reality we all no they won’t do anything. How does the title of the song reflect its theme? The title of the song reflects the theme as a “don't f**k with me” type of vibe and a “aye turn up” type of vibe. What inspired you to write “No Problems” ? Well I was sitting in my room and I was playing the game with my friend and he sent me a beat. After a little while he encouraged me to write something that will let people know not to mess with the gang or me “YGM” (Youngins Gettin Money) and to have people turn up to and have fun listening to. What’s next for you? The next thing for me is to keep making music and growing my fan base. Also I’m currently trying to get signed so I can start making money to get my family outta the struggle and help my community get on the map! I also want to donate to Charleston and start changing this place up for the better! Connect with YGM Tray on social media: Instagram: www.instagram.com/ygmtray

  • Clane Matthew Impresses Us With New Single "Melancholic Therapy"

Clane Matthew is a hip hop artist originally from Jamaica. He moved back to America in 2008, where he discovered in the 6th grade that he was musically inclined, starting by learning trumpet and later playing the piano by ear. He began writing his own music in the 8th grade, enduring taunts from his fellow classmates. Eminem was one of his biggest influences growing up, with his captivating flow and lyricism. Entering high school, Clane Matthew began to become disenfranchised with the hip hop genre and its general subject matter: cars, guns, violence, etc. His discovery of the prolific Kendrick Lamar was the antidote to this and reignited his interest in hip hop music. Clane Matthew’s goal is to be a role model for the younger generation as he believes there are not enough of them around. His aim, through his music, is to bring peace and positivity to people’s hearts so they can affect change. He wants to make a substantial difference in people’s lives and be the ray of hope in this dark world. Clane Matthew has recently released a brand new single called “Melancholic Therapy”. The song begins with a calming piano, and the beat enters with the first verse simultaneously. It’s a nice and simple arrangement, with just a few elements coming together allowing the lyrics to stand out. The chorus goes from rapping to singing, and the melody is a memorable and catchy one. The second verse is much more busy than the first, with more rapid and rhythmic lyrics coming through providing a contrast to the more sparse beginnings. Some of the touched-upon themes in this song are dealing with hardships, developing character to become better, and generally just overcoming obstacles. What is most striking about Clane Matthew’s song is that, true to his word, there isn’t any of the typical rapper bravado and confidence that so many artists choose to present as their image. What comes across is humble, honest and actually quite soulful. “Melancholic Therapy” is, beyond what the title suggests, a reflective and contemplative tune that will have you thinking beyond the mundane day-to-day qualities of life. We highly recommend you check Clane's "Melancholic Therapy" out today on Spotify! Keep scrolling for the artists exclusive interview with BuzzMusic. Where do you live now and how would you describe the overall music scene there? As of now I live in Orlando, Florida. It’s a great place to live but honestly not too many opportunities for conscious artists. The music scene here is a bit on the mainstream side. Everyone is rapping about the same things: getting rich, having girls, having expensive jewelry and cars, and violence...so when a majority of the population has this mindset instilled in them, it’s kind of hard for my music to really resonate; that’s why my music gets more exposure and recognition outside of Orlando. You seem to try and invoke positivity with your lyrics. Can you dive a bit deeper and describe what you had in mind behind “Melancholic Therapy”, your new single? Definitely! So “Melancholic Therapy” is actually one of the songs from my “Melancholic Theory” EP. The EP serves to be a representation of my life and struggles and how I use music as a way of therapy to self heal; and also hopefully sympathizing with others who are also facing the same predicaments I face. The song itself is a tribute to individuals who had to become an adult before their time in order to care for the ones they love, and is also a testimony of my experience of becoming an adult at a young age. Hopefully the experiences I talk about and my resolutions to my problems could give hope to those who are facing similar challenges. Besides Eminem and Kendrick Lamar, who you mention as big influences, who do you look to for artistic inspiration? J Cole and Childish Gambino. They’re some of the greatests right now. They’re flow, lyricism and message gives me inspiration everyday to continue my musical journey. In the morning when I go to work, the three songs I play in the car are DNA by Kendrick Lamar, Middle Child by J Cole, sometimes G.O.M.D. and Freaks and Geeks by Childish Gambino. Those are the songs that give me inspiration to go through the day and also continue my musical journey and mission. It would be an absolute dream to work with them someday! What is your writing process like? How does all your music come together? It’s real simple. I take the topics that has affected me personally and affected the public, and just write. I do it almost like an essay. I lay my words on the paper and get everything that I need to, out on the paper. Then I use that information and organize it into different main ideas and punchlines in order to create a direct link to the implications of the topic, and boom! There’s your song! Although I have great lyrics, the flow is a whole different thing to worry about; so I often experiment with the flow of the words on the paper and find interesting and unique ways to spill the words on the track before actually recording the final piece. And that’s how my songs are made. What can we hope to see from Clane Matthew in the future? You can hope to see Clane Matthew making a difference! I have three EPs left to drop this year. I have “Melancholic Therapy”, “Season of Love”, which serves to uplift women by appreciating their beauty just the way they are, and “ I’m Not A Rapper” which is gonna be a hard, fire delivery of why I’m not a “rapper” but an artist looking to instill intellectual stimulation and change the world. After that I plan on creating a feed the homeless campaign in Downtown Orlando by raising money through my music and personally dishing out food and supplies for the homeless. So get ready because 2019 is gonna be a big year! Catch Clane Matthew on his socials: Facebook Instagram #BuzzMusic
