  • Liza Jane Cuts Ties In “Man Or The Monster”

From Key West to Los Angeles, pop vocalist and singer-songwriter Liza Jane doubles on themes of infinitely and mistrust with her latest dance-worthy single, "Man Or The Monster." At the age of two, Liza Jane expressed to her parents that she "came here to sing," foreshadowing a career in the modern music scene with vocal training in opera at Belmont University, nestling into the songwriting circles of Nashville, and fleeing out west to LA to embark on a pop/dance sound she'd been craving to create. Now on the West Coast, she's turning up the heat with new releases like "Man Or The Monster," which Sirius XM radio has already been spinning on the Stonebridge Radio channel, not to mention trending on TikTok and Instagram. Liza Jane also released an accompanying music video for the song, directed by Joseph Spence, keeping the suspense high. In "Man Or The Monster," Liza Jane wastes no time jumping into this fiery tune. Instantly, her vocals alongside the powerful synths are reminiscent of Lady Gaga's prime era, mixing in heavy drum beats alongside stunning melodies that keep our attention locked in for the ride. As Liza Jane approaches the hook with lyrics questioning a lover's infidelity, she's ready to let the world see this person's true colors. The song's hook is fire - it smokes our speakers with celestial synths and a kickass beat alongside Liza Jane's ultra-powerful, emotion-packed vocals. Everything about this song is danceable - the beat is infectious, and Liza Jane's seductive, sultry vocals add a hypnotizing edge. It's a powerhouse song that perfectly portrays the emotions that come with infidelity, questioning if she's been snuggling up with a man or a monster all along. There's nothing more powerful than a woman who knows her worth, and that's exactly what to expect from Liza Jane's hot and heavy new single, "Man Or The Monster." Find the song on all digital streaming platforms and catch the music video on YouTube. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Liza! What a powerful listening experience you've provided with your recent single, "Man Or The Monster." What moments or personal experiences inspired you to write this song? Thank you so much! I wrote this song to talk about how a lot of times in relationships, and this has happened to me, someone can be the opposite of who they say they are. They start off great then you find out about their “Monster” personality and double life. In general how people can be really good at wearing a mask for a while, they always slip up eventually. Considering "Man Or The Monster" discusses the tough theme of infidelity, why did you decide to make the song so upbeat and danceable? As much as I love talking about the dark side of lovers and true experiences in my lyrics, I wanted a sound where people can resonate with the lyrics and also enjoy dancing and listening to something catchy. Personally, I'm very into astrology and tarot cards, and if you notice in the beginning lines of the song and video, you'll see a hand that uncovers a 'devil card' (for the monster). "Dark"...yes, you might say so.. haha! Speaking of the upbeat production in "Man Or The Monster," how did producer Shayon Daniels help bring the song to life? Also, what did producer Stonebridge add to the overall experience? They both were great to work with! Shayon captured my vision with the production, complimenting the lyrics so well and having Stonebridge add an extra touch to the global dance and club scene, which is a style of music I am excited to keep exploring more of. In fact, the next single, Sacrifice is also remixed by Stonebridge. Also, Stonebridge has his own weekly radio show (Stonebridge Radio) on Sirius XM BPM channel, where you can also hear my music. What was it like collaborating with director Joseph Spence for the "Man Or The Monster" music video? What was that experience like? Joseph Spence was amazing to work with. He made it such a creative and comfortable environment where I was able to be myself and capture myself on camera with his perfect eye and vision for great lighting. Joseph is the consummate professional director. Our producer, Debra Baum, also manages Tears For Fears, and she added an extra special element to the style and looks of the video as well. • Bleeker Blends Emotion With Heat In New Single, “Make It Better”

Coming in hot from Ontario, Canada, JUNO and Canadian Radio Music Award-nominated alternative-rock band Bleeker drops a powerful new anthem with their latest single, "Make It Better." Bleeker consists of brothers Taylor and Cole Perkins, Mike Van Dyk, and Chris Dimas. After the success of their debut album, Erase You, Bleeker landed a JUNO nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year, not to mention owning stages alongside icons like Sublime with Rome, The Struts, Rise Against, Airborne, Papa Roach, and Billy Talent. More recently, Bleeker slapped our speakers with what might be their most impactful release to date. Taylor Perkins explains how "Make It Better" was "written as a 'thrill is gone' kind of vibe...when you can't find the zest for life like you once could before, it's at that moment you realize you need someone to help." The new single isn't the band's only announcement. Kicking off on January 26th, Bleeker will be supporting The Trews on their House Of Ill Fame Anniversary Tour. Be sure to get your tickets. Jumping into "Make It Better," this banger was produced by Brian Moncarz (The Tea Party, Alice Cooper, Our Lady Peace) and pumps open with heavy drums and an equally heavy atmosphere that activates your stank face in the best way possible. This anthemic powerhouse blasts our speakers on the hook with electrifying vocals and sharp instrumentation for maximum impact. Although the sonic experience is exhilarating, Bleeker brings forward a more intense subject matter, discussing themes of watching yourself slip away and pleading for someone to help pick up the pieces. But, alas, Bleeker infused the song with an irresistible sound and feel, making it the ultimate pump-up anthem. Are you feeling down and out? Feast your ears on what might be Bleeker's best track yet. Find "Make It Better" on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BUZZ, Bleeker! We're thrilled to discuss your massive new single, "Make It Better." What personal moments or experiences inspired you to create this song? That would be a mix of self-reflection and observation. We all have these moments where we see ourselves or others around us evolve or change, often unintentionally. Make It Better is about realizing your sense of self is slipping away bit by bit; you want to stop it, but you know to stop it, you’ll need help. While it’s got a thrill-is-gone vibe, we wanted a positive sense of empowerment. It's ok not to be ok, and you can turn it around by looking for or accepting help. What was your experience collaborating with producer Brian Moncarz for "Make It Better?” Was this your first time working together? It was great! We’ve known Brian for a long time as friends, and we have worked together in the past. He produced an album for us before we changed our name to Bleeker. Brian is a great producer. Chris Dimas, our drummer, mixed this track and several on the album, and we are really happy with all of it. You mentioned that "Make It Better" was written with a 'thrill is gone' vibe in mind. How do you approach writing about such personal themes while keeping the track so energetic and powerful? For the most part, we’ve always included personal themes. It’s important to us that the songs feel authentic. Make It Better has more personal emotion written into it, and it's meant to be powerful and hopefully empowering. Others on the record are intentionally a little more lighthearted. We wanted to create an album that offers more than one tone. How does "Make It Better" stand out from your previous releases? What makes this song unique to you? It’s us returning to a heavier sound we were raised and started on. The album has a mix of tastes, but I’d say on the whole, it leans heavier, and grittier, yet still very melodic and catchy throughout. Which cities are you most excited to play on The Trews' House Of Ill Fame Anniversary Tour? Should we expect to hear "Make It Better" on the setlist? We haven’t toured since all the lockdowns, so I can honestly say we are excited to play all of them. We’ve played at all but one of the venues on the tour in the past and have great memories from each. Make It Better is in the setlist; we expect it will be at least for the rest of the year. That’s our veiled way to hint at several more shows to be announced soon for the rest of the year. Instagram Facebook

  • Steven Montes Grapples With An Existential Crisis On “Pizza Joint”

Does it sometimes feel like life is empty? In a musical landscape saturated with trends and fleeting inspirations, LA-based artist Steven Montes remains steadfast in pursuing genuine expression. Although his musical journey began in parody rap, his musical talent and vision are the real deal. Initially content to joke around with his friends, this would not be the case for long; Montes would have a pivotal moment when he crafted his first “good” song, almost unintentionally. That ignited a fire within him—an epiphany that whispered, “Maybe I can do this,” and the rest, as they say, is history. One defining trait that has served Steven Montes well thus far is his commitment to his artistic vision. Although, by his admission, he’s found inspiration in the storytelling abilities of Merle Haggard and Danny Duncan, he’s experimented with genres from pop to rap and country to create his sound. He’s not easily swayed and doesn’t always require heavy inspiration; he simply makes what he wants to hear. He’s a go-getter, unafraid to pursue his artistic vision, even creating his outfit in the form of his label, Low-Quality Records. “Pizza Joint,” one of Montes’s latest creations, is an easy-on-the-ear release that combines a little bit of country with a dash of pop. A pleasant guitar and spunky drums form the background of the release, combining with Montes’s slightly melancholic delivery to lend a feeling of nostalgia. “I get inside my head and push away the ones I love,” Montes sings, alluding to the mental and emotional struggles we often bear in silence. Although the soundscape Montes creates may seem simple on the surface, his conscious lyrics beget complex personal narratives, lending depth and life to the release. “Pizza Joint” is a release that seems simple on the surface but is captivated by Monte’s ability to grapple with internal struggle transparently and honestly. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Steven Montes’s new song “Pizza Joint”, out now on all majour streaming platforms. Welcome to BUZZ, Steven Montes! We loved "Pizza Joint," we had to ask! What was your favorite part of the creative process for this release? Thank you! My favorite part is always the writing process, especially when it comes as naturally as it did. Songs tend to write themselves when I'm alone on long drives, and that's exactly what the pizza joint was. Music means everything to me. It's been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. It's hard to say, but my favorite musical memory as an artist is getting to perform in front of my family. I'm blessed to have them around and supportive in my creative endeavors, so it's as simple as that. What does music mean to you, and what's been your favorite musical memory so far? Music means everything to me. It's been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. It's hard to say, but my favorite musical memory as an artist is getting to perform in front of my family. I'm blessed to have them around and supportive in my creative endeavors, so it's as simple as that. What goals do you want to achieve through your music, and do you have any advice for budding musicians? Depending on the day, my goal is either world domination or remaining in the shadows. Either way, I want the freedom that comes with making a living off my art, and I want to create opportunities for new talent. I hate when people make it to the top and forget where they came from; although I primarily work alone, I've always valued community, and I hope to be able to give back soon. My advice to any budding artists is to do it. Nobody's coming to save you; the quicker you realize that, the quicker you can get started. Nobody wanted to sign us, so I made my label. Nobody wanted to shoot my videos, so I picked up a camera. Just do it. If your audience could take one thing away from your music, what would you want it to be? I want them to hear my music and know that anything is possible. I didn't come from anything spectacular, no head start, just hard work and perseverance. I hope to inspire listeners to dream big and not only that but make it a reality. What's next for Steven Montes? Can we expect to hear more new music soon, and is there anything you'd like to say to your fans? I drop music consistently, all genres, too, so you won't ever get bored. I also hope to get some more short films out soon and other ideas. I don't want to speak on everything cause id be here all day, but my mind never stops, and I'm working on manifesting what's in my brain into reality very soon. You'll probably see me again sometime, so to old fans, I say hello, and to new ones, I say welcome. Instagram Artist Website

  • Blast Off Into The "Atmosphere" With Waterfront's Powerful New Release

Keeping rock alive in our neighboring country of Canada is the impressive quintet Waterfront, blasting speakers with bangers like "Atmosphere" from their latest EP, Sleep in the Cold. Since the release of their debut EP in 2021, New Heights, Waterfront has been tearing up venues and keeping the spirit of rock alive and thriving. Comprised of Dan Sequeira, Tanner Cyr, Devin Taylor, Ryan Ross, and Benjamin Forseth, Waterfront is ready to go harder than ever before with the release of their third EP, Sleep in the Cold. While the project features 5 incredibly dynamic, gripping tunes, we have a soft spot for the outro track, "Atmosphere," which was the album's lead single and now has its own music video. Produced by Quinn Cyrankiewicz (Royal Tusk, Calling All Captains), "Atmosphere" packs all the emotion, heart, and grit we'd expect from such an experienced 5-piece rock band. "Atmosphere" opens on a dark yet engaging note with melancholy, haunting acoustic guitar melodies and Dan Sequeira's gentle vocals that melt through the speakers. As he expresses his desire to feel pain to feel alive again, Waterfront pumps up the heat and anger to drive the message home. As they return to the anticipation-packed verse, Sequeira's thought-provoking lyrics of heartbreak and removing yourself from the situation are deeply relatable. And just like that, Waterfront comes pouring through on the hook, chilling the spine with incredible vocals, killer drums, powerful guitars, and a sick bass line. While Sequeira expresses the post-break-up pain and isolation, he admits that up in the "Atmosphere" where he's away from the chaos, he can somehow breathe easier. It's a solid reminder that when all else fails, we must find our ways to cope and move forward. This song screams quality from top to bottom, and Waterfront is no stranger to pumping out tunes that demand the listener's attention. Experience it yourself and find "Atmosphere" on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Waterfront! We're head over heels for your emotional and powerful single, "Atmosphere," from your recent EP, Sleep in the Cold. Why did you choose this track as the EP's lead single? 'Atmosphere' has always been a special one for us, and we weren't sure where to slot it in for extra attention, but the more often we shared amongst our inner circles, the more the song stood out for others. That gave us the confidence to give this one the love it deserved! What inspired the creation of "Atmosphere," and who handled the vulnerable songwriting? What was that creative process like? Funny enough, Atmosphere is the one song from our recent EP, "Sleep in the Cold," that was incomplete going into the studio. The rest of the songs were completely fleshed out and demoed, but Atmosphere was a half-and-half idea. In many ways, that helped it as the time we spent making the whole project fuelled the day-to-day writing on the song, and that brought out a unique tenderness but massive energy to it. In many ways, the experience we had creating the whole project funneled into a nice ending, metaphorically and literally, with this song as the closing track and final lead single. Dan wrote the initial idea that got stretched into the larger rocker it became via our Producer Quinn Cyrankiewicz. Devin and Tanner helped fill out the middle little bits, most coming from Dan and Quinn. How does "Atmosphere" fit into the theme and concept of your recent EP, Sleep in the Cold? And why did you choose to place it as the outro track? The writing process was very straightforward outside of Atmosphere. Many months went into preparation before hitting the studio in Edmonton, Alberta, in the summer of 2022. Many revisions, rewrites, and back and forth with our producer and demoing resulted in these five songs we love dearly. Atmosphere encapsulates "Sleep in the Cold," but taking many of the themes and ideas hit across the other four songs, doing away with anything, and embracing one's journey, whether lonely or not, to self-acceptance. Some things you can't control; maybe you want to be alone in the atmosphere for whatever reasons, but at the end of the day, you have to rely on yourself and find some love there. How does Sleep in the Cold differ from your previous two EPs? What makes this project different? "Sleep in the Cold" is a massive departure from our history and roots, but in many ways still feels the same. Night and day, our evolution remains tied to becoming bigger, more complex, and louder than before. It's always bubbled under the surface, and we felt it was time to embrace the beast, for lack of better words. It was the right time to rock out and retain our usual DNA. Instagram Facebook

  • Vincent Brue & The Long Branch Davidians Celebrate New Album "We Didn't Start The Fire"

We loved "We Didn't Start The Fire;" we had to ask! How does it feel to see this album completed, and what was your favorite part of bringing your vision to life? Thanks! Completing this album feels like getting a deep tissue massage from a burly 7-foot-tall Scandinavian man named Ivar on a warm, breezy day on a remote tropical island. Feels great. Little handsy, but great. The majority of these songs were written during the lonely quadrant-times of the pandy when I would play acoustic guitar all day while walking on a treadmill that would occasionally short circuit and send me crashing into the control panel (lots of actual blood and sweat went into these songs). Then, at night, I'd get drunk in my garage, go on IG Live, and debut these songs to an audience of whichever bored friends decided to tune in. It was a dark time. I decided to round up a band to play the songs I'd been working on, and the Long Branch Davidians were born. After years of practicing/gigging/releasing a couple of singles, I decided it was time to make an album. My favorite part was going into Retromedia Studios in Red Bank, NJ, cranking out 11 songs in only 4 hours, and everyone nailing it. About 95% of this album was recorded live, with only minimal vocal and trumpet overdubs added later. I'm pretty proud of how it captures our live energy, but it also sounds good. What's been the best part of your musical journey so far, and is there anything you're especially looking forward to in the future? The best part of my musical journey so far has been all the intercourse. Just non-stop balls-to-the-wall bumpin' uglies. Just kidding. It's been the friends I've made along the way. I grew up a timid, introverted kid, and playing music brought me out of my shell, and that's pretty much how I know all of my friends, my wife, my dog, and everything. I'm looking forward to more of the same, meeting more musicians and songwriters and hot local singles and making new friends. You can never have too many friends. Unless you have over 300 causes, that's probably too many. You wouldn't have any time for yourself. What goals do you want to achieve in the future through your music? Mainly world peace, honestly. I believe it is attainable, as long as people believe it is attainable, and I think if more people just listened to some of the hits I've been dropping, we could make this happen. It's impossible to be angry and start wars when you're bopping your head to a banger like "Young Rectums." Alas, we only have about 30 Spotify followers, but I still have faith. I am a believer. We can do this. What does music mean to you, and if people could take one thing away from your music, what would you want it to be? To me, music means words, melodies, harmonies, and rhythm, all coming together to form Voltron. It means the world to me. Music is God.
