RetroMind has come a long way from its humble beginnings. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream RetroMind’s latest release, “All The Way,” on all major streaming platforms. We loved "All The Way," we had to ask! What was the inspiration behind this release? Were you drawing from any personal experiences? We were trying to create something musically simple and catchy with All the Way. The melodies represent that. We have produced the song to capture the emotion and still stay catchy regarding beats and production. The lyrics were first inspired purely by personal experiences and drafted with some technical adjustments. But as time went on, we grew out of the initial draft. We wrote two different lyrics for the song. We kept the chorus from the first lyrics, but the verse and the bridge were taken from another composition. They are still partially inspired by personal experiences but partially by a retrospective space after what we saw around us. How people's fears and toxic habits affect relationships that ultimately crumble because of the mess our generation is. But it also touches upon the power of genuinely holding on and embracing love, so it's life. So you two have been friends for ages, right? What inspired you to make the jump and start doing music together? We were in the same band when we were in school. Aditya was the lead guitarist, and Keshav was a vocalist and rhythm guitarist. We performed together from 12 to 17 and then were in different cities for our graduation. Keshav: The most cliché thing made me write my first few songs. Struck down in love, I wrote some prose poetry and acoustic pop stuff, but I always fell back on Aditya's opinion about the compositions and the lyrics just because I was so used to that. We could develop this duo together and create something solid, so I contacted him. Aditya: After I graduated college, I realized there was nothing apart from music that I knew much about. So, I decided to pursue music. Keshav had contacted me earlier for the same, so I decided to make music with him. What was your favorite part of the creative process for this release, and what did you think when you heard the completed version for the first time? The favourite part of the creative process was the composition brainstorming which included quite a bit of freestyling to the rhythm and music. Also, listening to a new version shared by the producer or mixing engineer is always exciting and stressful. It is fun when things come out to be how we want them. What do you want people to feel when they hear your music? We don't limit ourselves to any genre. No two songs are remotely similar in composition, genre, and vibe of our three releases. We've produced each song in a manner that does the most justice to the melodies and lyrics. All The Way has a different feel – A lo-fi, momentum-building vibe. We think it will be a reeler-kinda song – good for drives and hangout sessions. What's next for RetroMind? Can we expect to hear more new music soon, and is there anything you want to say to your fans? We are a bit unorganized. Just a few days back, we decided to do an EP, and since then, we have started working on four songs in total, three of which are not a part of the EP. Regardless, we plan to complete songs and release them because we have so much material. Our fans should expect another stream of singles in the Spring and an EP before summer kicks in! In tandem with featured artist Justina Beth-El, The Frontier weaves an engrossing story that evokes emotion deep within. - Tal Weaver Band Energizing Tribute To Don Henley’s Classic Does It Total Justice
The Tal Weaver Band, a unique amalgamation of musical prowess featuring Bart Walker, Matt Kirkwold, Greg Armstrong, Tommy Vee, Bennett Vee, and Eddie Lange, has recently unleashed their vibrant rendition of Don Henley's 1982 single, "Talking to the Moon." Greg Armstrong, the creative force behind this musical venture, was inspired to produce the track after witnessing Don Henley's captivating performance at an intimate gathering in Grapevine, TX. Struck by the emotional resonance of Henley's lesser-known gem, Armstrong set out to recreate it, assembling a team of musicians who blended effortlessly to breathe new life into the classic despite not having met before. From the outset, luscious piano notes strike a poignant chord, echoing deep within our souls. The vocals, delivered with brilliance and larger-than-life flair, pay homage to the original while infusing the Tal Weaver Band's distinctive twist. This ballad receives the royal treatment in their hands, leaving listeners yearning for more. The intricate drum patterns, bold harmonies, and twangy guitar riffs are the band's signature touches, melting hearts and transporting audiences to a bygone era where classic rock was a conduit for the thrilling release of emotion. The Tal Weaver Band honors Henley's legacy and crafts a nostalgic and refreshing experience. As fans eagerly anticipate more musical gems from BAD SHYZ and Greg Armstrong's label INNOVIBRATIONS in 2024, "Talking to the Moon" stands as a testament to the band's ability to rekindle the magic of a timeless classic while paving the way for an exciting musical journey ahead. We are in awe of your latest rendition. What sparked the decision to cover Don Henley's "Talking to the Moon," and can you please share the moment you were inspired after seeing Henley's performance in Grapevine, Texas? I had not remembered hearing this song before; if I did, it didn't move me on record, like seeing it LIVE. Don Henley did an infrequent question-and-answer show with a meet and greet with about 200 people….close to his home in Grapevine, TX. I attended the show with a friend, a HUGE Eagles and Henley fan who has seen the EAGLES play in concert 31 times! An audience member requested the song, and Don turned to his piano player and asked him if he knew, and he did… they played an acoustic version of it, which just stunned me and stuck with me. That show was 5 or 6 years ago now….and I finally got around to recording this song with homage to Henley but still hopefully standing on its own. Bringing together musicians who have yet to meet haven't before is a small feat. How did the Tal Weaver Band seamlessly blend individual talents to recreate a classic and infuse it with their unique energy? I am a producer (Greg speaking)….and as a producer, it becomes your "job," so to speak, to put the RIGHT people together for a project. These were the RIGHT people for the project…and when you hear the final version, I think most would agree! From our understanding, Greg Armstrong took the lead in producing this track. Can you please walk us through the creative process, especially building it from the piano track up and the decision to work with Chuck Alkazian for mixing? I start in my studio with a piano track….and add instrumentation to build a foundation, sometimes playing ALL the instruments myself, and then one by one, adding the players that will eventually fill those roles! Chuck is my go-to mixer these days…we read each other minds and speak the same musical language. Sometimes, he is a rarity to find, and his attention to detail is second to none! "Talking to the Moon" is a record not recognized from Henley's catalog. What drew you to this particular song, and how do you believe your rendition adds a new dimension to its significance? It is a rarity, as I spoke before upon seeing him in Grapevine; I was unfamiliar with it…of course, Dirty Laundry was the very well-played HIT off that first solo album. I like to find songs…that are hidden gems and build on them. So MANY great songs have been written, and sometimes not hits for this reason or that…but they still have merit, legs, and passion put into them. I hope more people hear them in a new way…and enjoy them for the first time or relive a memory of hearing the old album track years ago. The review hints at more releases from BAD SHYZ and Greg Armstrong's label INNOVIBRATIONS in 2024. Can you provide a sneak peek into what listeners can anticipate regarding style and themes? BAD SHYZ is all instrumental, learning jazz, prog, and multi-instrumentalists with a deep pedigree! Real "players" and a musical release for Greg and the team. There is always something different coming from the newly started label, and we hope to bring more attention to it and bring in more artists down the line to join the team.

- Ethan Sak Weaves A Dark Music Industry Tale On “Monster X Everything”
Beware the pitfalls of modern success. Ethan Sak has long held a special relationship with music. Having grown up in Muscle Shoals, Alabama (where he jokes that music was even in the drinking water), Sak played piano at five, sang by seven, and made entire songs by himself before finishing primary school. Regarding music as one of the most intimate and powerful mediums of expression, Sak’s releases are akin to a grand story. His musical stories are driven by words and lyrics and brought to life with melodies that brim with emotion, captivating his listeners and whisking you away to his eclectic soundscapes. Having released his debut album “BLUE” in the fall of 2022 to critical and general acclaim, Sak has earnestly worked to live up to the high standards he immediately set for himself. He’s spent the past year balancing classes at USC’s highly prestigious Thornton School of Music with the creation of his next artistic foray, the “Monster x Everything” EP. Consisting of two complimenting singles, “Monster” and “Everything,” this riveting EP is accompanied by a two-part music video that adds a visual layer to the powerful story. Simply put, there is no way to talk about “Monster” without mentioning “Everything.” Sak has painstakingly and brilliantly woven an interconnected narrative that ensures that although each release can survive by itself, its true worth cannot be seen without the other. The dual release follows what seems to be the innocent journey of a young artist. As he signs a deal with a music executive that sinisterly begins to feel like a pact with the devil, he eventually forsakes his morality and becomes successful. As his fame grows, eventually, he becomes the executive, continuing the cycle. “Monster” and “Everything” are undeniably dark pop releases, but combined with Sak’s soul-baring and emotionally gripping vocals, it's an emotionally striking story that grips you both visually and sonically.\ Ethan Sak’s “Monster x Everything” release is a theatrical, gripping, and ultimately incredibly entertaining release that will have you on the edge of your seat before you realize it. - Holy Nowhere Explores The Depth Of Internal Chaos In “Save You”
From New Jersey to Seattle, singer-songwriter and adventurous recording artist Steve Sachs and artist/producer Dana Why pair up for their new solo project, Holy Nowhere, bringing you polished tunes like their latest single, "Save You." Having gained his initial acclaim with his former band YJY, the group later split up and landed Sachs on the West Coast, drifting away from songwriting. After a panic attack reignited his creative spirit, Sachs went on to create new demos and later remotely collaborated with Dana Why, who transformed the demons into a polished mix of electro-pop and indie rock tunes. This is the foundation of Holy Nowhere, the new collaborative project from Sachs and Why. Their goal? To help listeners find wonder in a seemingly magic-less world. Holy Nowhere recently released their lead single, "Save You," from their now-released debut album, Soft Return. The song is a prime example of the shared talent between both artists, brought to life regardless of only meeting in person once. The track starts with bright electric guitar licks and subtle, groovy percussion alongside Sachs' velvety and warm vocals that embrace the listener like a sonic blanket. Holy Nowhere also released an accompanying music video for the song, which shows a large group of people huddled around to watch, well, more people tumble recklessly down a hill. Alongside the song's lyrics, it's a reminder that no one else will save you - only you have the power to do that. The song's instrumentation and production are a treat for the ears, bursting with an uplifting indie rock edge and a dash of electronic pop, keeping the rhythm alive and the vibes high. Dana Why's masterful production alongside Sachs' introspective lyrics makes for a thought-provoking and engaging listening experience that reminds us that, amid life's chaos, "everything just happens for no reason at all." - Viv. Bravely Tells “Her Side” Of A Sour Relationship Story
Diving to the depths of her emotions is North Carolina-based singer-songwriter and pop recording artist Viv. with her latest gripping single, "Her Side." It didn't take long for Viv.'s music to take off. With only four released singles, "Her Side" being the latest, Viv. has already amassed a whopping 2.4k+ monthly listeners on Spotify. Influenced by acts like Michael Ingridson, Ava Max, Jason Mraz, and Halley Joelle, Viv. is currently working on new projects and is eager to share them with listeners in the new year. In her recent release, "Her Side," it's clear Viv. has been through the emotional wringer of a turbulent relationship. She uses this single to raise awareness for both sides of the story with lyrics like, "heroes and villains are just a point of view," emphasizing how she's painted like a villain in her ex's eyes, while "Her Side" of the story tells something different. The new single softly opens with lush acoustic guitar picking alongside Viv.'s soothing vocals that express the beginning of a tumultuous relationship, gradually escalating to nights of endless fighting, jealousy, and mistrust. But from "Her Side" of the story and what she's experienced, it sounds like Viv. had every right to feel the way she did - emphasizing how there are two sides to every coin. The song's second half gradually expands with added emotion for a cinematic experience, sinking deeper into the depths of a relationship's demise while trying to cope with the negative light she's thrown under. "She's bitter and angry; you seem like it too," Viv. sings, expressing how it's inevitable for her to prove herself otherwise while reminding her ex that it takes two to tango. "Her Side" by Viv. is perhaps one of the most impactful songs we've heard this year, discussing personal themes that many listeners can relate to. Find the expressive new single on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to Buzz, Viv.! What an emotional rollercoaster you've released with your latest single, "Her Side." What experiences inspired you to create such a cathartic song? While in college, I knew a guy who was always in and out of relationships. When I asked him how his girlfriend was doing, he would say they had broken up. At the beginning of our friendship, I would feel bad for him, but later on, it seemed to be a trend. He would often tell me his ex-girlfriends were crazy, but I started to wonder what was going on. I wanted to know the real story. That was the inspiration for Her Side. What was your songwriting process like for "Her Side?" Was it challenging to relive those tough situations, or was it empowering to tell your side of the story? Writing this song was fun!! I wanted to write a song from a 3rd person perspective. After I had the idea/story I wanted to convey & a melody, I asked a friend if he wanted to co-write this with me. Reliving this was inspiring because I felt like I could be the voice of all the ex-girlfriends my guy friend had portrayed as "crazy." Did you work alongside any musicians or producers when creating the instrumentals for "Her Side"? What was that collaboration like? I had the privilege of co-writing this song with Marty Lamain. My producer, Ryan Lau, did a phenomenal job capturing the story & emotions so well. Ryan thought having live percussion would tighten up "Her Side," so we had Alex McVey work his magic. It was a game changer!!! I love the way it came out. If listeners could take one thing away from your new single, "Her Side," what would you want that to be? There will always be two sides to every story. How does "Her Side" stand out in your current discography? What makes this song different from your previous three singles? This is a tough question. Writing this song from a 3rd person perspective makes it different from my previous three singles. It makes you question what her side of the story is. Also, this is the first time I've had live percussion. Instagram Facebook

Welcome to Buzz, Robinson James Band, and huge congrats on your new release "Spoonful." What made you decide on this song for your first release? Alexa: I initially picked the song. It's a classic blues song that has many versions. While we were listening to the band Cream and their version of it, the harmonica and the vocal were doing the main riff in unison, and Elrey said, "Hey, that'd be cool if we used a slide guitar instead of harmonica," so we tested it out, and it turned out pretty tasty. What are your favorite parts of the creative process for your releases? Alexa: Both recording the song and then hearing it take perfect form. Shooting the video for Spoonful was just a blast; we had so much fun that day. Also, all the interviews that we get to do! What goals do you want to achieve through your music? Are there any musical idols? Alexa: The goal is to be a thriving, working, touring band. Elrey's idols include Jimmy Paige, Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, and Johnny Winter. Alexa's idols include strong female vocalists who have sustained their careers, like Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner, and the classics. If your audience could take one thing away from your music, what would you want it to be? Elrey: To feel good, to be inspired, to want to do better in life. If we can do it, you can do it. Never give up on your dreams, and believe in yourself. Alexa: I would want our audience to genuinely love our music and be moved by it, to have a moment to escape and feel good while listening. What's next for The Robinson James Band? Can we expect to hear more music soon? Is there anything you want to say to your fans? Alexa: The good news is that we have two new songs from our forthcoming record; we will be shooting a new video for a classic road trip song, all to be released next month. Keep following along; thanks for listening. The new stuff is coming soon! Instagram Facebook
