- daFinchi Shows Us How It’s Done In “Go For Mine”
The bad boy from Bridgeport, CT—accomplished attorney, loving father, and prodigious rapper daFinchi shows us what degrees, dedication, and hard work get you in his new single and music video, "Go For Mine." Not every day do you see a promising hip-hop act that reintroduces us to the genre through a post-grad lens. He's a talented lyrical lawyer with bars that tie into the various facets of his life, from raising his daughter and making a living at the office to his passionate craft as an MC, dead set on his mission to speak the truth. More recently, daFinchi released his exciting new single and braggadocious music video for "Go For Mine," which sees him posing on the cover of various high-profile magazines, keeping the cash flowing, and showing us what took him from 0 to 100. The song itself is incredibly catchy. "Go For Mine" is crawling with infectious synth melodies and driving hip-hop drums reminiscent of hits from staple acts like Post Malone. His quick-witted and charismatic bars tie in his signature self-deprecating humor while feeding us taglines from his law firm like, "In a pinch, call Finch!" The music video continues that humorous (yet serious) theme of watching daFinchi reap the rewards of his degrees, work, and talent. His classic boss poses with thumbs up or arms in the air are sure to make you crack a smile, not taking him too seriously, but very seriously at the same time. At the end of the day, daFinchi's unique approach to hip-hop changes how we view the genre. Give yourself a boost of motivation with help from daFinchi's blazing new single, "Go For Mine," available on all digital streaming platforms. Find the song's music video on YouTube. What inspired you to create this personal single of your success? The beat inspired me to talk about how far I came from sleeping on couches around New York City to owning my own law firm. What was your experience shooting the dynamic and glamorous music video for "Go For Mine?" It was a quick shoot at this cool studio in New Haven, CT, but I had to change my wardrobe like ten times in 3 hours. How did your director and producer help execute your vision? Director Mike Squires had a great vision and the skills to pull it together in the edit. Maserati Rai produced it. He always finds the right location. What was your favorite part about creating a bold, driven single like "Go For Mine"? What did you get out of it? Like all my other completed songs, my favorite part about this song is the feeling that it is a completed song, and I can walk away from the recording session satisfied with my new baby. Did you want viewers to take anything away from the music video for "Go For Mine?" Did you hope to leave them with some inspiration? If I can inspire anyone, it's a win-win situation. I let the listener and the viewer appreciate the project however he/she wants to. It's all love. Instagram Facebook
- Glassface & Naeem Drop An Outro For The Season With “Summer’s Over”
Showering us with the end-of-summer blues is songwriter and alternative/indie producer Glassface with his dreamy and bold new single, "Summer's Over," alongside vocalist Naeem. Glassface is best known for seamlessly swerving different art forms while merging genres like alternative and indie with elements of psychedelia, futurism, and electronic pop. Impressively, Glassface was an editor on Jhenè Aiko's Summer 2020 and directed music videos like "U Guessed It" by OG Marco and "1 Night" by Lil Yachty. He's been honing his craft for over a decade and has made a name for himself through gripping productions and co-writing with countless acts to continue broadening his artistic horizons. More recently, Glassface teamed up with the lush vocal stylings of Naeem for their newest single, "Summer's Over," a heartfelt groove with sweet alternative/electronic production that serves as the perfect outro to summer. Hitting play on the dreamy new tune, "Summer's Over," we're passionately greeted with psychedelic string-like synths that leap into a glittery atmosphere with bass-heavy synths that stir up the low end. Naeem's breathy and chilling vocals dance overtop of Glassface's sonics while sending some serious chills down the spine. Naeem's lyrics of summer ending a little too soon hit just as hard as Glassface's cinematic production that builds into this musical monster merging the dark r&b sonics of acts like The Weeknd with the ethereal and lush electronic soundscapes of Tame Impala. It's the perfect tune to send you on your way as the days turn shorter and the nights get colder. Allow Glassface and Naeem to help you accept all that's past and move forward with their shimmering new single, "Summer's Over," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Glassface. What inspired this emotional and ethereal end-of-summer anthem, "Summer's Over?" First and foremost - depression. That feeling when the warmth of the season slips away. I thought about being a kid and the feeling when summer ended, and you had to go back to school. What was your experience teaming up with vocalist Naeem for "Summer's Over?" What was your collaboration like? I had a great time working on the song with Naeem (fka Spankrock). Summer’s Over is produced by Matti Free and me - we were working on some new demos during one of Matti’s trips to LA, and he invited Naeem to hang out. We listened to a bunch of music and played him a rough demo of “Summer’s Over.” He sang some melodies on the song that sounded amazing. I heard some lyrics in the melodies and had him record them saying, “I’m falling away, into you,” which immediately made the song 10x better. Did you have any artistic or musical influences in mind when creating the dynamic production for "Summer's Over"? What was your vision for the song's overall sound and atmosphere? Elliott Smith. Emo rock anthems. LCD Soundsystem. Mike Dean. Imogen Heap. Justice. I wanted an incredibly melancholy and sad song but also a stadium anthem. Soundtrack music that feels massive but reminds you of that feeling of being all alone in your room. How does "Summer's Over" stand out or differ from your previous 2022 singles? Did you have any different approaches or ideas this time around? Summer’s Over might be the most on-the-nose lyrical song - it’s meant to be easy to understand and very direct. I wanted to make something that immediately tapped into a powerful, melancholic feeling in many of my favorite songs as a kid. While the meanings behind “Foundation” and “Oblivion” are a bit more veiled, Summer’s Over is straight to the point. Oblivion is more of a psychedelic live band anthem, and Foundation is a huge-sounding electronic song with much room for the listener’s interpretation. Instagram Twitter
- Emarosa Shares Passion-Pop Razzle Dazzle In “Again”
Successfully venturing into glittery synth-wave, pop, and alternative is the dynamic duo Emarosa with their latest single, "Again," from their forthcoming album, Sting. Comprising Bradley Scott on vocals and ER White on guitar, the two have collaborated for nearly a decade. More recently, Emarosa aimed to transform their sound and energetically renew the band's musical vision. They've shifted from hard rock to dreamy, dazzling alternative and never looked back. This genre transformation landed Emarosa a top spot on the U.S. Billboards charts and a completely sold-out nationwide tour. The momentum isn't slowing down, and the duo is approaching the release of their forthcoming album, Sting, featuring the passionate and glittery pop anthem "Again." It's clear Emarosa has developed a knack for producing pop-heavy synth-wave 80s-inspired tracks, and "Again" is a perfect example. The beaming and bouncy keys open the song with a sense of euphoria. At the same time, Bradley Scott's airy and zesty vocals pump through the speakers with deeply passionate lyricism and his natural wit. ER White's groovy guitar keeps the energy high and blesses us with the sweetest melodies to groove the night away. This song screams 80s synthpop, with low bass-like synths and snappy snare drums that pump up the party. The overall energy of Emarosa is contagious, and they have no problem making us want to bust a move while chanting Scott's catchy and relatable lyrics of love's peaks and valleys. There's so much to hear in Emarosa's new single, "Again," and we don't expect anything less from their upcoming album, Sting. Find "Again" on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Emarosa. We adore your recently-released synthpop anthem, "Again." What inspired your duo to create this passion-powered and glittery hit? Our co-writer Stefano Pigliapoco was a huge part of this track. It’s a monster idea that he tapped into, and then we really molded the idea into what it is now. This track was very collaborative; the high-energy pop is not something that we’ve tackled before as a band, so it was fun to bring this new temperature to a record. What was our duo's creative process like when in the studio creating "Again"? How long was this song in the making? We really took a strong concept and watched it snap together pretty quickly. The best songs on an album (in my opinion) are going to happen faster than you expect. When you look back after writing it and think, “Wow, is that it? Is it done”? Those are the best moments, and the song practically wrote itself after the foundation was there. Did you have any musical or artistic influences in mind when crafting the instrumentals and atmosphere of "Again"? What styles, genres, or artists might have influenced this track? I think the synth-pop world as a whole really got a hold of us on this album, to an extent. We listened to a lot of 80s pop. Paula Abdul, George Michael. The list goes on. How does "Again" prepare listeners for what's to come with your upcoming album, Sting? How does this single tie into the album's theme and concept? I don't worry too much about to cohesiveness of the album. We wrote songs that we felt and were proud of. Songs we wanted to release, there’s absolutely a link throughout the album, but I think each listener will find their own place. It’s definitely a pop record if you’re on board with that. It’s for you. What's next for Emarosa? We’ll enjoy the holidays, embrace the new album coming January 27th and then take over the world. Facebook Instagram
- Kristen Kelly Sends Out “Smoke” Signals With Her Captivating New Release
Teasing her audience with the latest sonic offering, “Smoke,” touring singer-songwriter Kristen Kelly released new music for the first time in 2022. Hailing from Lorena, Texas, Kristen Kelly has sunk her teeth into her home music scene with a vast amount of tour dates that dip into the hundreds. “Smoke” has been making waves in the short time period that it’s been out. Featured on the iconic Nashville Sign in Downtown Nashville and performed live for fans at The Local during the single release show, Kristen Kelly has proved that she is no stranger to the stage. What’s not love with this steaming record that oozes confidence and tenacity? Dipping into a realm that’s boisterous with Rock hues yet remains prevalent on the Country spectrum, what captivates us the most is how Kristen Kelly’s raspy vocalization pulls you into her deeply seated lyrical motifs in a major way. Silky reverberations and production that drive it home can be found accompanying the intensity that pours from the instrumentation. We’re subject to feel-good grooves that implode upon impact – and to us, that’s how you can feel the passion resonating from a timeless record. From the simmering guitar riffs, resonated bassline, and tightly knit percussion, every component stands out as it fuses in effervescence. Co-written and produced by Bridgette Tatum, who can be accredited for work with Jason Aldean and Randy Houser, this collaboration has “Smoke” honing in on key trademarks that make a hit track in today's day and age. Having been named one of CMT's Next Women of Country, Kristen Kelly is on fire with this release, and we urge you to take listen for yourself. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Kristen Kelly! We’re enthralled with your latest single release, “Smoke.” From the witty lyrics and overall composition of this record, could you please shine a light on what this song means to you? "Smoke" is a piece of work we went hard in the paint on when pulling from my classic rock influences. It's about a "bad for you, moth to a flame" type of love interest that has you reeled in hook, line, and sinker. As we tap into components of Rock and Country in “Smoke,” is this the first time you’ve fused together genres? How do you feel about mixing it up and conjoining these sounds? I feel like I have pulled from my classic rock influences before in my music, but my co-writer and producer Bridgette Tatum helped me really channel that sound and kick things up a notch with "Smoke." Touring with acts such as Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry, and more, what has been your favorite performance experience to date? How does it feel every time you go back home to perform? It's hard to pick one moment as a favorite from touring with so many artists and groups that I respect, as every chance I get to play a show and share my truth through the gift of music is a life-changing and humbling experience. Some highlights have been playing the Grand Ole Opry several times and traveling overseas to perform for the troops. Having cut my teeth on the TX/Red Dirt Scene for many years before having the opportunity to reach a broader audience via my first record deal back in the day with SONY/ARISTA Nashville ... I am always grateful to be able to "go home" and have folks still show up and cheer me on. The continued support from my home state of Texas, the TX/Red Dirt Scene, and all the folks I've met getting to travel the US and other countries is never lost on me. How did the creative process for “Smoke” unfold? Could you please shine a light on it? I drove out to my friend/co-writer Bridgette Tatum's house to stay the night and write songs. We actually wrote another song that evening, broke to get a bite to eat and went back to her house, and ended up writing "Smoke." A few months later, she pulled me aside and said, "I wanna get in the studio and record/produce "Smoke" with you." I had not budgeted to record new music so soon after releasing my Something Worth Saying 2 part project (2021). I took a chance and launched a crowd-funded campaign to reach a $4000 goal to make the "Smoke" and an unreleased full band version of "The Devil" (a song I co-wrote with Bridgette and Allie Colleen) happen. All of this is possible thanks to the continued support of my amazing fans, friends, and family... aka "Framily CirKKus." What’s next for you in this musical journey? I launched and hosted a once-a-month songwriters round called "Something Worth Saying" at Live Oak in Nashville from Nov 2020 - Nov 2022. In addition to continuing to write/release new music and travel all over to play shows, I am transitioning to taking that round on the road and focusing on launching my podcast called "Something Worth Saying" in Jan 2023. Guests will include singer/songwriters, artists, and everyday folks who have inspiring/beautiful truths to share, so stay tuned! Instagram
- Charlotte Enegren Speaks For Women Everywhere In "Whisper"
Stockholm-born singer-songwriter and heartfelt soul-pop/jazz recording artist Charlotte Enegren challenges society's unfortunate norms with her compelling new single, "Whisper." Although born in Stockholm, Charlotte Enegren spent most of her life abroad in Brussels, London, and Paris. Her passion for blues, soulful voices, and jazz landed her in various jazz and blues-rock bands in Paris. With a Masters in Popular Music at Goldsmiths, Charlotte Enegren has the knowledge, talent, and grit to move musical mountains. A prime example of her moving and compelling pieces is the latest single, "Whisper," a result of the feeling (and reality) of being silenced and objectified as a woman, especially in the male-dominated music scene. Nevertheless, this well-rounded piece is stunning, from Enegren's harmonious vocals to the smooth jazz instrumentals. Diving deeper into "Whisper," the experience softly opens with gentle piano melodies that set the introspective and emotional tone. As the light percussion begins tapping in, Charlotte Enegren's warm and lush vocals dance overtop while singing profoundly relatable lyricism. "Don't tell me I need to smile. Who do you think you are?" We'd even make the bold statement that every woman to walk the face of the earth can find a piece of themselves in Enegren's lyrics. In fact, any group or community that's been treated like second class. As unfortunate as it is, songs like this are deeply needed if we truly want to rally change and reach justice, respect, and personal autonomy once and for all. Sink into the smooth jazz sonics and awaken yourself with Charlotte Enegren's bone-chilling lyrics in her moving new single, "Whisper," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Charlotte Enegren. We sincerely appreciate such needed and awareness-raising songs like "Whisper." What experiences inspired you to create a song about the silencing and objectification of women? Thank you so much for having me, BuzzMusic! Inequality and women’s rights have been very close to my heart ever since I was a young teenager. “Whisper” wasn’t inspired by one particular instance per se but an accumulation of many experiences, both my own and those of women I know, which compelled me to pen this song and put this message out there. I think simply being a woman in this world and a woman making music within what is traditionally a highly male-dominated industry places you in a position where you will face silencing and objectification on a regular basis. “Whisper” is about highlighting this issue, rejecting the status quo, and not settling for anything less than respect and an equal playing field. Did you encounter any personal or emotional challenges when creating "Whisper"? How did you overcome these obstacles (if any)? I wrote “Whisper” as part of a songwriting class I took during my Master's program in Popular Music at Goldsmiths College in London. The track was chosen to be part of a mixtape they do every year of students’ work which was super exciting! But when the mixtape was released, my vocals had been altered so much that they were barely recognizable as my own anymore. All this was done without my consent which struck me, as ironically, this is exactly the kind of experience that “Whisper” is all about in the first place! This was an obstacle that I had to overcome, and it gave me a deep desire to rework the track from a fresh perspective, so releasing “Whisper” on my own terms this time has been a way for me to reclaim it and not let this experience taint the song. If anything, it has given me all the more reason to keep pushing to have my own voice as an artist and always have this at the forefront of everything I do. What did you have in mind for the overall sound and atmosphere of "Whisper"? How do these smooth instrumentals enhance your lyrical message? The piano/keys melody is where the song started and was the first part I wrote. Initially, it had a very classical feel to it which helped set the emotional tone of the song, but then creating a simple beat to sit underneath gave it some grit and certainly made the lyric writing flow and feel super natural. I wanted a sparse arrangement to let the lyrical message shine through and be the song's focal point. I co-produced this new version of “Whisper” with my close friend and collaborator Slow Shudder, who also remixed and remastered the track bringing a freshness to it without steering far from the original version. The chorus of “aaaas” symbolizes a release in a way that brings it all together. The song is all about the atmosphere and creating a certain tension, hopefully provoking the listener to think about the subject matter at hand. Are you typically one to create such moving songs that champion justice, respect, and the greater good, similar to "Whisper"? Is this an important part of your music career? I certainly find topics like injustice and inequality very compelling to write about. Something that really strikes a chord with me is society’s complexities around these issues. I find that debating and having an open conversation is important and the only way to move forward and make real positive change happen. There is still a long way to go, but music is a great way to express this need for change! I think calling attention to these issues will always be an important part of my songwriting and who I am as an artist and person. I tend to go quite deep with what I write about and the topics of my songs, but for me, music is also about having fun and being an outlet for expressing a range of emotions and experiences, both light and dark. What's next for you? Next up, I have a few songs in the pipeline that I’ve collaborated on with fellow artist friends that I’m excited to release over the coming year! The subject matters of these songs are pretty personal, too, and reflect other parts of my songwriting. I love working with like-minded musicians and learning so much from exploring different sounds and ideas. www.charlotte-enegren.com
- Heaven Content Will Heal Your Broken Heart In “Who’s Calling U Baby?”
From Salt Lake City, Utah, the Indie duo Heaven Content brings us their new release, “Who’s Calling U Baby?” from their latest EP, “WCUB//DA4U.” Heaven Content drinks from Pop, Rock, RnB, and other genres to make music. They uplift your spirit and make you move your hips. Every song they make is like the soundtrack of the best moments of your life. The artistic vision, production, and musical skills of Heaven Content are out of this world. You can’t miss listening to them. Heaven Content’s “Who’s Calling U Baby?” begins with a blissful electric guitar with a fantasy-like synth in the background and a buzzing bass. Then the drums come in with energy and make your body move. The reverberant effects on the instrumentals make them sound enveloping, in a chilling ambiance. The vocals are powerful, and the range is impressive. And when you get to the chorus, the funky instrumentals and the breathtaking lament of “Who’s Calling U Baby?” get to you as a burst of euphoria. The emotional energy makes you want to dance and sing along with everything you have. It is catchy and cathartic, an incredible work. If you are into funky music that makes you dance, “Who’s Calling U Baby?” will make it to the top of your list. What experience inspired the lyrics of “Who’s Calling U Baby”? The lyrics were inspired by a past relationship of mine that had ended badly and abruptly without any reconciliation on either side. The chorus explains the awful feeling of how easy it is to be replaced by somebody else and how the thought can drive you completely mad. What were your greatest musical references when making “Who’s Calling U Baby”? Prince has always been a big inspiration to me, as well as Japanese rock/pop. Specifically, Prince was a huge influence on me in the process of writing “Who’s Calling U Baby?”. I would implore any listener of Heaven Content to listen to Prince, as I believe there is something of his for everyone. How does “Who’s Calling U Baby?” fit in your EP “WCUB//DA4U”? I believe it’s important to have diversity in my music. I didn’t want to write the same type of love songs repeatedly, which is why “Who’s Calling U Baby?” and “Do Anything 4 U” are back to back on the EP. They are two sides of the same coin and only show a fraction of what we’re capable of when it comes to writing our version of pop rock. Our music can be very upbeat and happy but with heavy and sad undertones. Every song we have is different from the others and expresses the intended emotions differently. What is one thing you would like a new listener to know about Heaven Content and your music? Our hope is that Heaven Content is an honest and emotional experience that is for everyone to be wrapped up in and share. Check out our music video for “Who’s Calling U Baby?” there’s plenty more coming from us, so thank you for listening, and hope to see you in the future. - Interview: Cory Marks Shines A Spotlight On His Single, "Flying"
Welcome to BuzzMusic, Cory Marks. We couldn't stop tapping our feet when listening to your new hit, "Flying." What was your source of inspiration behind this fierce single? “Flying” is really a mix of my passion for aviation portrayed through the mind of a fighter pilot but also relates to my life both personally and professionally, with things finally starting to take off again after being grounded - in a way - for the past few years. I finished my own pilot's license throughout this pandemic, and it was symbolic - I was done being grounded... and I’m ready to fly! Did you have any artistic or musical influences in mind when crafting your hard-hitting and dynamic instrumentals for "Flying"? What or who helped you bring this killer sound to life? I’ll credit my producer Kevin Churko here. We needed one more hard-hitting rock song for this project, and he challenged the team to write about something I'm extremely passionate about, lying and planes - and now we're flying… I’m glad that he pushed me! What was the core message you wanted listeners to take from "Flying"? How did you want your lyrics to impact them? It has been a dream of mine to shoot a “top gun” like the music video for one of my songs. Over the years, I've made a lot of great friends in aviation and the military, and one of them happens to be a huge fan of my music. But is also a cf-18 hornet fighter pilot - it was an honor to feature him in this video. Why did you choose to release "Flying" as a single for the I Rise EP? How does this song prepare listeners for what's to come? Both the song and the EP spotlight my rock side... or the edgier side of cory marks. I love the energy of the project and hope my fans and listeners do too. What's next for you? I’m currently on show 3 of 25 across the US with Brantley Gilbert and Five Finger Death Punch. After that, I'll be home for Christmas for some family time and then more new music in 2023. I'm hoping for another rock radio hit, but I hope to be charting on country radio in the new year! - Let’s Go To The Cinema With The New No In “My Life In The Cartel”
From Liverpool and Bringham, England, the alternative duo The New No gives us "My Life In The Cartel," their new single that will immerse you in a gangster story. The New No is a duo from England that has made a name in the alternative scene since 2013. They are Rodney Christopher Guy Prosser on the vocals and Benedict Simon Leach on the keyboards, bass, guitar, percussion, and programming. Rodney has been into poetry and radio since the 80s, and Benedict has been touring bands in Britain for three decades. With their incredible experience in music and close relationship with the cinematic arts, The New No made "My Life In The Cartel." This song is a story of a former Queen’s guard who is now a gangster. But this hasn’t made him a different man. He still has problems with his wife and needs a cake after a long work day. Doing what? Drowning three guys. Hitting the play button on "My Life In The Cartel" gives you the instant sensation of watching a film. The instrumentals have a dominant bass with fast-paced drums and a synth in the back. It has heavy 70s and 80s vibes. And that is not a surprise. The duo’s most significant influence is the 1971 film “Get Carter'' and Sir Michael Cain’s character. Although they influenced films, the story of "My Life In The Cartel" comes from the stories of real people the duo has heard. Benedict does an incredible job with the instrumentals while Rodney narrates the story. Both give "My Life In The Cartel" a fantastic cinematic style. Press play on "My Life In The Cartel" and watch the music video. You are about to go to the cinema in the form of music. What was your motivation for making "My Life In The Cartel?" The inspiration is drawn from talking to many people. In the 1970s, my father had a company in Cardigan Street in Birmingham (England) making barriers, and from an early age, I would go in on Saturdays and hang out in the factory and chat with the guys. I preferred hanging out with these guys to anybody else. They were really hardworking people. I have always been at ease chatting with people ever since this time of my life. I rarely have bad experiences, and in fact, in my whole life, I can only remember about six times when I regretted speaking to people. So bearing this in mind, I like chatting with people and still do. So the story goes like this… In 1990 I thought I was good enough to be a stand-up comedian in the East End of London. Through being a clown and a Kissogram, I met many people and developed some ideas and ways of seeing life, and I wanted to turn my hand to comedy. I had a lot of pluck but not much material. I was unprepared, in fact, but a lot of people in one pub in Hackney liked me, they bought me drinks, and they told me stories. One guy was a burglar, another guy sold stolen gear, and another guy was a scaffolder who was dodgy. I was in the midst of a few guys just trying to survive. Having been bullied at school and not liked at art school because they thought I was posh, I was happy to find a crowd who liked me finally. I was, in their eyes, “a real laugh,” and I just absorbed their vibes. “My Life in the Cartel,” written 24 years after this, was imagined through their eyes. The human weaknesses in spite of being tough geezers. How a villain would sort out people who were not respectful yet still have time to grab a cake from the bakers? What does "My Life In The Cartel" mean to you as an artist? Ben Leach (Ben plays everything and produces) and I were recording something else one day, and then we got something to eat and decided to take a break from recording and watch “Get Carter” with Michael Caine. The music is so direct and stinks of smoke and cheap aftershave, and we thought, “let’s use this as a blueprint for a person speaking. A seriously cool man who doesn’t let anyone stop him from putting things right. A real geezer with his suit and accent and a down-to-earth way was the way forward. The song is utterly amazing because Ben Leach is a great musician who studied music, played in bands, and recorded in studios for the past 49 years since he was 4. I had some lyrics back in 2016, and we started tootling around in the studio with a beat and a few piano chords. The song has existed in around 40 different versions. It has been interrupted by illness, building work, chopping wood, other priorities, and bouts of lethargy. So many things have happened, but it has always been a great tune that Ben has spent hundreds if not thousands of hours listening to it, changing, and re-working it. A fun fact is that we mixed a shorter version too, but it didn’t work. So the song is 5min36. It needs to be because it contains the story. What was the most exciting moment of making "My Life In The Cartel?" I think the most exciting moment was when Ben survived being really ill in May this year and calls me and said he had worked on it and finished it. I felt buzzed. I was really worried about him. He is right as rain now. I think finishing the track brought our musical creation into a new place. Getting better gave Ben a jolt. I write the lyrics that Ben edits; then Ben plays everything. I sometimes play the guitar to show an idea, but whatever I play gets binned because it is often a case of “No.” Ben says “No” often and sometimes, “I like that.” That’s why we are The New No. What do you expect your listeners to picture when listening to "My Life In The Cartel?" Listen to the bass and the vibe and feel the car journey in this song. Feel a bit scared because scary people do scary stuff. Don’t worry, though, because they won’t hurt you… unless you do something to annoy them. “My Life in the Cartel” is an immense song because it is like a film in my head. The character Kenny Dogleach is a bit overweight, his beard grows quickly, and yet he always shaves on weekdays “brushed up pretty neat, you’d never know” refers to something he said about his beard growing so fast and how he liked to slob out at the weekend and not shave, but on Monday he was pristine. What's next for you? The New No will be seeing how this song does. Is the audience big enough in number to get us heard? We think it is an interesting question. However, having seen so many homeless people here in Paris and seeing true desperation, I think it would be unreasonable to complain if we failed. It’s a balanced way of seeing life: stay real and never forget how lucky you are. However, if things do work out for us, we have a lot of other songs with funky grooves and great stories. Let’s not get ahead, but we hope to release another single in April 2022. Let’s see what happens for “My Life in the Cartel.” Instagram

That is thanks to his artistic talent and open heart. “FARWARD” is a once-in-a-lifetime memory at the beach in the form of music. The summer vibes are always present, relaxing, and euphoric. That is thanks to the fantastic production, composition, exceptional experience, and talent of Phaze-Won, and the outstanding collaboration of Canadian artist Gov'Nah delivering a hot rap verse. Listening to “FARWARD” starts with chilling and impressive instrumentals, an electric guitar playing a catchy melody while a xylophone with bass effects enriches the background. Phayze-Won’s vocals make a party ambiance that gets your head moving at the compass. Besides, Gov'Nah‘s rap is electrifying and contagious, keeping the energy high. The lyrics are inviting and place you at the beach, celebrating life and living the best moment of your life surrounded by great people. The experience is more intense when watching the video, a fantastic production of GOTBRIZZ. “FARWARD” is the soundtrack for a memorable time, sharing with your friends and giving in to the music. Turn up the volume and beat the cold and grey winter with the warming and exciting sounds of hip-hop and electronic music in “FARWARD.” Welcome to BuzzMusic Phayze-Won, and congratulations on your latest release, "FARWARD." What experience took you to make “FARWARD?” "Farward" is a common term in certain cultures. It translates to "forward, come forward, or come here" a lot of people use it when calling someone over to talk with them. I had the idea when I met my wife, and that's how the song idea came about. How did you come together with Gov'Nah to make “FARWARD?” Gov'Nah and I have been friends for a long time; he's another talented Canadian artist. His background is Latin, and I wanted to spice the song up. He was a perfect fit. What was the most exciting moment of making the video for “FARWARD?” The entire process of making the video was amazing. The best feeling was completing the project. While I'd say the smoke bombs were fun, capturing an audience along the beach while we were filming was exciting. What has been the most rewarding from making “FARWARD?” People are really impressed with the video and the fact that we filmed it locally in Canada when it looks like we shot it somewhere in the tropics. How would you like people to feel when listening to “FARWARD?” What's next for you? Happy, feel good, get up and dance, feel alive. That's what I want. It's a fun song with a rhythm to move and wine your body. Next for me is shooting a video for Ol Dayz, another song off my current album, I AM KING, with an artist called Don Von Jovi, a great friend of mine. So stay on the lookout for that next video coming soon. Instagram
