Blending music of the past, present, and future is songwriter and producer Sp8ce Owl, paying homage to our roots on this planet with his latest single and music video entitled "Voices In My Head." Songs like "Digital Breathing," "Miami 1987 (Earth 246)", and "70s Somewhere" introduced listeners to the lush soundscapes and sonic reality-escapes Sp8ce Owl is known for. His reimagined version of our dimension is expressed through thoughtful electronic melodies, synths, and drums, showcasing his ability to make listeners feel an out-of-body experience. This time around, Sp8ce Owl wants you to stay on this planet and appreciate all that came before us with his new single and music video, "Voices In My Head." Hush the outside world for a moment and look at the bigger picture with help from Sp8ce Owl's new single and music video for "Voices In My Head." Find the music video on YouTube and the single on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Sp8ce Owl. What inspired you to create a more down-to-earth, reflective, and culturally-appreciative song like "Voices In My Head?" The inspiration for the song was to foster unity and appreciation for the many beautiful cultures of this world and the love I feel for dance, showing the importance it brings to the people and communities that utilize it. I also wanted to recognize that a lot of the modern world has lost or neglected the power community and ceremonial dance can bring to those societies in the hope of reconnection to those things. With all the technological advancements we made, most of them give us a less effective form of connection, which sometimes saddens me. What was your goal for the "Voices In My Head" music video? What did you want your viewers to experience when watching the many culturally diverse and sacred scenes? My goal for the video was to show the importance I feel dance can play in societies. I feel dance, more specifically community dance, has the power to bring the people engaging in it together and heal and bond those involved. More than any other dance, Ceremonial dance has an innate power to help those involved reach a higher plane of consciousness and elevate our connection to the soul. What I want viewers to experience is an appreciation for the beauty of the many people of this world, seeing the connection between us all. Lastly, the second half of the video is meant to show all of these people as beings of light, trying to express my feeling that if we were to look past our physical bodies, all people’s souls are beautiful. If we look deeply enough, we will see the oneness that connects us all. When you see this connection, the insignificant differences all fall away, and it is a beauty that will change your life, opening your eyes to truly see one another. Did you create the "Voices In My Head" music video yourself? Or did you collaborate with anyone to help bring your vision to life? I am blessed to work with the extremely talented Michael Perimutter who allows me to share my ideas and overall vision for my songs and helps bring them to life. In the end, I feel they have pieces of both of us embedded in the final creation. How is "Voices In My Head" different from the rest of your discography? What makes this song stand out? I think “Voices In My Head” differs from the rest of my work for several reasons. First, I was much more experimental, venturing into sonic territory that I had not used before, trying to create a sound more influenced by different cultures and sounds. Second, the message I was trying to convey is very significant, making it extremely personal. I think this song stands out because I am asking listeners to venture out a bit from a more traditional soundscape in the hopes that we can become more comfortable with things we might not be familiar with, seeing beauty in the differences in the world. What's next for you? I plan to release more EPS starting at the beginning of next year and will have at least one video to go with each EP. Instagram Twitter

Welcome to BuzzMusic, Kyra Daniel. We're so impressed with your level of maturity and inspiration in your new single, "Words Mean Something." What inspired you to create this empowering sophomore single? “Words Mean Something” was inspired by personal experiences I’ve gone through, like being made fun of/bullied at school for things like my skin color and being shamed for doing what I love, which is writing songs and performing live. I also noticed other people going through something like I was, and I felt I just needed to express myself and let the others going through a hard time know that they are not alone and that their voice matters. What was your experience working with producer Evan Cline for "Words Mean Something?” How did he help you navigate the process? Evan and I wrote "Words Mean Something” over a zoom call a little over a year ago. It was my first time writing to him, and I knew I wanted that experience to be special. He is such a fantastic person and so fun to work with. Our ideas bounced off each other quickly, and we wrote the song in under an hour. I write music about things I can relate to the most, which was one of our main goals while writing this song. Do you usually create inspirational and compelling pieces like "Words Mean Something?” Why are songs like this so important to you? Yes! I love writing songs that can hopefully inspire and uplift others. Music is one of the main ways I express myself, and it’s almost like a second language. I’ve written many songs about random events in my life and even turned sad or negative experiences into uplifting, loving songs. Do you have any advice for aspiring young performers looking to dive into the music industry? Besides talent, what has helped you reach this level of success? My main message to anyone trying to get out there, or pursue anything, is to stay focused, humble, and kind. Concentrate on what is best for you; set your mind to something important. Being humble is a big one for me because I have been so blessed to have had so many great people supporting me, enabling me to experience amazing things during the short period of my being a singer. I always remind myself to stay humble and never forget those who love me and support me the most. Lastly, being kind. This one applies to anything and everything in my life. My Mom has been saying this to me for as long as I can remember. I go into situations with a smile and treat others with love and respect. That’s what I believe can get anyone far in life! What's next for you? I have more songs releasing shortly, more content on all socials (@kyradanieloffical), and significantly more exciting opportunities like performing live, traveling to Nashville again, etc. I can’t wait to take you on this journey with me!! Creating her own distinct brand, Cruel Billie's soundscapes range from here to heartache, and she welcomes you on her journey through each chilling release. Speaking of chilling, we never have experienced such sonic and lyrical perfection from an independent act than with Cruel Billie and Lorvida's single, "Fein." Following the release of Billie's EP, This Is Kismet; the new single was recorded and produced in Los Angeles with Riley Geare. It's a moving and haunting song that discusses Billie's longing and frustration for a different way of being. Hitting play on the new song, "Fein," we're met with Cruel Billie's breathy and whispery vocals that expand on needing money to take it easy. The reverbed electric guitar and plucky, haunting bass licks bring us deep into this melting pot of Americana meet modern dark bedroom pop. The hazy hook leaves us in a dreamy daze, mainly as Lorvida's softspoken poetry flows through the speakers with words that discuss the difficulty of finding your purpose on this planet. It's a profoundly melodic piece that features various instruments, from organ and twangy guitars to an oozing bassline and dynamic percussion. We're sure any listener will appreciate the wickedly conceptual and dynamic soundscape Cruel Billie and Lorvida blesses us with their new sisterly single, "Fein," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Cruel Billie. We're head over heels for your haunting and conceptual new single, "Fein." Were there any particular moments or experiences that inspired this personal piece? Hi! Thank you so much; we are excited to finally have Fein out. I remember I wrote Fein one morning before work. I had been looking out a window at the sky, wishing I could do just that all day. I wrote it with my acoustic guitar and sang whatever came to mind as I played. I ended up being late for work that day, haha. Sometime later, I played Fein for my sister, and she then shared a beautiful poem she had written that felt like a solution to my angsty lyrics. We always tend to be on similar wavelengths in one way or another. We decided to join the two. It was a lot of fun. Did you have any musical or artistic influences when creating the sound and vibe of "Fein?" Who or what might have impacted this song? As I was writing, I kept picturing a desert scene, someone on the prowl- searching for something and maybe a little lost. Lorvida's part felt very lush and ethereal. We wanted it to feel that you stumble upon a little haven of paradise through this desert-prowl-fever-dream. Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood meet Molly Lewis. What was your experience creating "Fein" alongside your twin sister Lorvida? Was this your first time working on a song together? Lorvida and I used to write as kids but never together! So this was our first time combining our pieces of work and our first time recording in a studio together. I had worked with Riley Geare before, who produced my last EP and had a great experience, so I was excited to bring Lorvida along this time for Fein. We had so much fun, and it lit a fire in us to keep creating. How did you want "Fein" to make listeners feel? Did you want them to realize or take anything specific away from your personal lyrics? I think Fein is a song everyone can relate to in one way or another, especially considering the last couple of years! Our hope is that it might validate frustrations and give some peace through that hazy mirage that life can be. And all while dancing, of course. Thanks, BuzzMusic! • At-Risk Youth Invites Us To Recognize Our “Sweet Demons”

From Colorado Springs, Colorado, the alternative rock band At-Risk Youth explores human contradiction in their new hot single “Sweet Demons.” At-Risk Youth consists of the lead vox and guitar of Mark F. Foreman, the drums of Ryan Hartline, and the bass of Ali Belone. They have been working on their music, leaving a powerful message in their lyrics and instrumentals, or just having fun. They manage to revive the best alternative rock with noticeable influences from Green Day and MGMT. “Sweet Demons” talks about the inescapable contradiction between reason and temptation. We are supposed to seek the ideal world using reason, but we are tied to the search for immediate pleasure. It is easy to think that reason would separate us from subjectivity and show us the world as it is, but there might be things simply impossible to understand. Listening to “Sweet Demons” starts right away with the lyrics, and the vocals are as melodic as the riff of the distorted guitar that accompanies it. Then the ring of a bell makes way for the entry of the instrumentals. The drums mark the compass for the staccato chords of the bass, guitar, and keys, while the screaming vocals and energizing instrumental make the chorus a burst of excitement. The inclusion of sweet second female vocals makes a great contrast with the overall ambiance, and the guitar solo is so euphoric you need to take out your air guitar and rock along. “Sweet Demons” is a cathartic song to turn up the volume and sing along with it. Open your mind and indulge your ears by listening to At-Risk Youth’s “Sweet Demons.” What was the inspiration for "Sweet Demon"? Several things, really, but the main inspiration was the pull between temptation and rationality. Rationality is frequently held up as a virtue, but it's unobtainable for various reasons. Temptation, on the other hand, is basically the driving force of all vice but is very easily obtainable. Consequently, for all that we might want to live in the land of reason, we are hamstrung by temptation simply by virtue of being human. Plus, I thought a lot of the lyrics sounded cool when I wrote them. What would you like people to think when listening to "Sweet Demon"? I don't really feel that it's my business to tell people what to think. I just hope they like the song. What makes "Sweet Demon" different from your other songs? I'd say that the lyrics are more driven by imagery than anything. They attempt to showcase snapshots of moments that may or may not be fictional, and don't really tell a story. But then, that's true of life as well, since life doesn't really have a narrative structure. It's just a series of things that happen. Would you say that music is where reason and pleasure meet? No. What's next for you? We're currently working on recording a full-length album; that's about halfway recorded and mixed and more progress gets made every day. We also have plans to record 4 mini rock operas, each as its own EP, and all of them connected thematically; most of the writing on those is done, and we hope to start recording them sometime this winter, assuming we're close to finishing our next album. We're also thinking about putting out a standalone EP at some point in the future like our previous releases Life Through Screens and On A Wire, but that's much more theoretical at this point. • Livvy Lauren Wants The World To See “Who You Are”

Pop artist Livvy Lauren shares one of her most personal experiences with beautiful lyrics and touching music in her new single “Who You Are.” Showing a promising career since she was an infant, Livvy Lauren has come a long way using music as an intimate expression of her personal life. Her prolific songwriting work reflects it, as she has written over 50 songs. She has significant influence from artists like Sam Smith and Doja Cat, but most importantly, she trusts her team when materializing her musical vision. “Who You Are” is a pop ballad that shows the most human and vulnerable aspects of Livvy Lauren. The song came up to her at a moment when her chest couldn’t hold her emotions, so she did what she knew best, she wrote a song. The lyrics feel honest and relatable, like just a true artist can do it, getting to show people that someone feels like them. The intro of “Who You Are” gives you a slow and tender piano, inviting you to open your heart. Livvy Lauren shows her exceptional vocal skills with a tone that is as emotional as impressive. In her lyrics, she seems to be having a conversation or writing a letter asking that person, or maybe herself, to let down their guard and show the world who they are. The instrumentals are enveloping, always playing a synth with sweet chords as the piano does the main melody, enchanting your ears and touching your soul. The drums are slow, giving you time to breathe in Livvy’s outstanding voice and think about what she is singing. Hit the play button on “Who You Are” as you close your eyes and open your heart. Welcome to BuzzMusic Livvy Lauren, and congratulations on your latest release, "Who You Are." What was the most dominant emotion while writing "Who You Are?" I felt a sense of anger and frustration while writing "Who You Are." The song was written in under 30 minutes because it was almost like the lyrics needed to explode out of my brain and onto the paper. The anger wasn't hated; it was more frustrating with myself for not being able to get the person I was in love with, to open up to me or the world. What makes "Who You Are" different from your other songs? "Who You Are" has a different feel from my other songs. Although "50/50" and "Messin" were both written about messy breakups and bad situations, I was able to turn these songs into something a little more upbeat and show strength, power, and positivity throughout them. With "Who You Are," the lyrics were too raw and heartfelt. The song isn't about hating a person for how they treated me or about having the strength to leave a toxic relationship; it's about feeling sad that someone can't be the true version of themselves when the actual version is the best version. What would you like people to feel when listening to "Who You Are?" I hope that "Who You Are" can help motivate people to be themselves and be proud of who they are. I hope that when people listen to it, they are reminded that they have support around them, and by being truthful to themselves and their loved ones, life gets easier. Is there an additional message you would like to say about "Who You Are?" A message I also hope that "Who You Are" portrays is that no matter how hard or tough life might be, always speak up because people are here to listen and help. What's next for you? I am writing more music and hope to continue my journey by regularly releasing new singles and gigging in London. Instagram

Breakup got you down? Allow Jessica Sole to be the latest addition to your life's soundtrack with her vibrant and emotional new single, "Good In Goodbye," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Jessica Sole. What personal experiences with relationships inspired you to create such a vulnerable and honest song like "Good In Goodbye?" Thank you for having me! Good in Goodbye is inspired by a friend of mine. She and I have FaceTime dates as often as we can since she lives in BC and I’m in Ontario. I remember during one call, she was telling me she had bad news; the guy she was seeing had broken up with her. Then she said that the breakup wasn’t even the worst news but that he didn’t give her a reason to hate him when he left. She said he didn’t cheat on her, didn’t lie to her, didn’t say anything mean, and that he really “gave me the good in goodbye.” As soon as she told me that, I said, “one second, I need to write this down”. The next day I brought the idea to a co-writer, Elias James, and the song was born. What was your collaboration like with producer Shawn Moore? How did he help execute the vision you had in mind? Shawn and I have been working together for the last few years now! He produced my last EP, “Think of Us,” recorded at Catherine North Studios in Hamilton, Ontario. He also produced my upcoming EP while we were in Nashville and is a co-writer on one of the tracks. Getting to work on my music alongside such good friends is so special. Shawn puts everything he has into every project he works on. He’s a pro in every sense of the word. Were there any personal challenges you experienced when creating such an intimate song as "Good In Goodbye?" How did you overcome these obstacles, if any? It’s always so exciting releasing a song so intimate as “Good In Goodbye.” In the lyrics, I wanted to capture that feeling of wishing for closure and for a reason to fall out of love and move on from your ex. I wasn’t going through those specific emotions during the writing process, which made the creative process a bit different from than songs I wrote about my personal life. I’m so proud of this song and excited about all the wonderful feedback it's been receiving! How does "Good In Goodbye" relate to the overall theme or concept of your upcoming sophomore EP? Could you drop any hints about what that project is about? When we were working on this EP, we wanted to bring some more pop elements into my sound. Good in Goodbye sounds the most pop out of all the songs on the project. Listeners can expect more of that country pop production vibe mixed with key country sounds and storytelling! What's next for you? I’m so excited to release the rest of this EP in 2023! The songs on this project are some of my favorites I’ve ever written; I’m looking forward to sharing them! Instagram

  • Max Edwards Lets Love Shine In “Malibu”

Alternative artist Max Edwards from Whistler BC, Canada, sings about letting go of someone whose material aspirations don't match love in "Malibu." Max Edwards has always had art as an essential aspect of his life; since he was a child, he has been writing songs that make his living in Canada's mountains more exciting and poetic. He feeds his love for music from the work of other artists, and now his objective is to create music that could inspire others. His new single "Malibu" is full of summer vibes, greatly contrasting with the mountains where Max skis. You can picture this song being played by the beach with an overall ambiance of a chilling mood and well-being. However, its lyrics talk about someone who wants an expensive life in Malibu while his lover can't afford it and wonders if he is destined to be alone. "Malibu" starts with relaxing guitar chords with a gloomy touch as the drums get in with a sound close to hip-hop. Then, Max Edwards' melodic and youthful voice sings with a tone of lament, suffering from a broken heart, while the reverberant effects on the instrumentals and his voice make "Malibu" sound enveloping and emotional. The chorus is climatic as Max lets his vocal skills all out; at that point, you must sing along and feel with him. It is easy to relate to his lyrics because it hurts to see romance fall apart from pursuing material interests. Sometimes it is better to let go and patch up your heart with music and such a lovely song as "Malibu." Love can be complicated, and letting go is scary, but everything seems better by hitting the play button on "Malibu." Welcome to BuzzMusic, Max Edwards, and a big congrats on your latest release, "Malibu." How did you come up with the idea of "Malibu?" I wrote "Malibu" earlier this year when I was super into the indie rock/pop vibe. I didn't think much of it at 1st, but over time It started to grow on me. I've always loved songs named after a place, and "Malibu" kept getting stuck in my head for some reason. I knew I had to write something along the lines of it. How would you describe the creative process of making "Malibu?" As I mentioned, I always loved the idea of songs named after places. I wanted to write something about Malibu. One of the 1st parts I wrote In the song was, "She wants to live in Malibu, meet some other dude, do some other kinda shit that I could never do." After having that part down, the rest of the song came together pretty fast. Some of the original lyrics and melodies just weren't doing it for me, so it took a bit of time to fully finish the writing. I also mixed and mastered this song, which took a long time to finish because I wanted to get a specific sound. That alone was almost the death of me, haha. I am thrilled with how the song ended, and I hope everyone loves it! Who were your most significant musical influences in making "Malibu?" Artists like Dominic Fike, Lauv, Charlie Puth, and Arden Jones significantly influenced this song. Something about their writing styles and flow has inspired me to write new styles of music. In which way would you like to inspire others with your music? I grew up being obsessed with music, and I know that's why I am so into making it now. I hope one day I can inspire up-and-coming artists the way my favorite artists have and continue to inspire me. Music is also a powerful tool, and it can affect and change many people's lives. I don't always write happy and positive music, but I always wish my music and myself could spread positivity and love to people. What's next for you? Musician, activist, businessman, and environmentalist Jarvis Smith teams up with the impassioned vocal stylings of Rita Morar for their new climate-change-advocating single and music video, "Save The World." Jarvis Smith is best known for his planetary consciousnesses-raising and giving back to the community. He's a passionate activist for climate change and environmentalism, which extends into his thoughtful, creative, and groovy tunes. His purpose-driven music is created to bring people together, much like his recent single and music video. You might remember the dance chart-topping 2011 Swedish House Mafia hit, "Save The World." Since then, our planets have experienced the worst possible changes. Now, Jarvis Smith and Rita Morar are teaming up to raise money for Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg's MAPA foundation (Most Affected People & Areas) in order to truly make a difference. "This is a story of our changing planet and how we can help it thrive," reads the opening quote from Sir David Attenborough. The music video then follows with a lone traveler walking through the hills, valleys, desserts, and empty streets of a post-apocalyptic landscape. It gives you a close look at what our world is quickly becoming if we don't band together and take action. The many lush scenes of our current mother Earth, from forests and jungles to oceans and mountains, remind us how there's no better time to champion change than now. Towards the end of the video, a clip of Greta Thunberg explaining how streaming the new single will financially support MAPA activists (Most Affected People & Areas). All in all, Jarvis Smith and Rita Morar's refreshing rendition of Swedish House Mafia's "Save The World" is everything we needed and more. Do your part in saving the world by streaming the new song on all digital streaming platforms. Find the music video on YouTube. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Jarvis Smith. Congratulations on releasing such a moving and compelling single and music video like "Save The World." What inspired you to recreate the classic SHM hit in the first place? The lyrics from this song are very much a soundtrack for our times; the climate crisis is now such a serious issue; if each and every one of us doesn't step up to the challenge and change our lifestyles, then humanity and the planet are in real trouble. This is a human issue; together, we have all contributed to temperatures rising by the way we live on the Earth, so this song is a call to action, so we can unite and work together to fix the biggest threat to our lives. Music and this song were a way to bring people together for the collective good. What realizations or thoughts did you want to evoke in viewers when watching the music video for "Save The World?" The video shows beautiful shots of Mother Nature in her perfection as she is today and the dystopian outlook if we don't fix this in the time we have left. The latest IPCC report says if we don't peak our emissions use within the next two years and decline by 45% by 2030, then we will reach recorded global temperatures, which means nobody knows what damage this will cause. The benchmark is keeping temperatures from rising above1.5 degrees, we are already at 1.3 degrees increase, and if we continue to live like we are, we are heading for 2.8 degrees rise by the middle of this century. We already see fires, floods, and hurricanes displacing millions from their homes, which could lead to the 6th mass extinction... so the song is a stark reminder that this is where we are heading unless we change our collective behavior now. Clearly, we cannot wait for governments and big businesses to do something; we have to act in any way we can today to become part of the solution. What did you want them to take away? A sense of compassion and love for our planet, she that sustains all life, and for us all to reconnect with Mother Nature through words and images. What was your experience recreating "Save The World" by the Swedish House Mafia and working alongside vocalist Rita Morar? We worked with a prolific producer Pete Mixmaster Hammond who has over 100 hit records worldwide and plenty of number-one hits under his hat. He is a legend, and I've worked with him on The Phoenix Rose album... I told him the plan to help raise money for Greta Thunberg's Fridays for Future MAPA, the most affected (young) peoples and areas, and he immediately said, "let's do it" I explained the vibe and this Afro-fusion sound I wanted, and he built the track in a few hours. What was that process like? Well, it's a great song already, so of course, I wanted to put my own spin on it and make it accessible to young people across the globe; when I heard the vocal mix, it felt to me like it was missing something, that's when I called Rita Morar and asked her to work her magic on it. She delivered as always. Her voice makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck, and this song needed to invoke an emotion at that level. It's a vast and important subject, so we made the song bounce with some deep feelings, making it fun yet emotive. Besides streaming "Save The World," is there anything else your audience can do to raise awareness for MAPA and/or donate funds themselves? Yes, they can financially support the young people by donating any amount of £1 to £1000 at www.jarvissmith.com/music What's next for you? I will keep on spreading the word about how we can all live in harmony with each other and the planet; it's my life's work and my purpose, and I'll do this through music, film, work, and play.
