- Matilda Lindell Releases A Contemporary Cover Of ABBA’s,“The Name of the Game”
From Stockholm, Sweden, singer-songwriter and contemporary recording artist Matilda Lindell bless us with a modern rendition of ABBA's hit, "The Name of the Game," from her recent cover album, ABBA Uncovered. The Sweden-born artist started touring the United States at 26 as a principal member of the tribute act ABBA The Concert. She's graced stages like The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and Wolf Trap Performing Arts Centre just outside of Washington D.C. Lindell's time with the ABBA tribute band sparked a desire to create a more personal project based on classic songs that have had a major impact on her life and career. The recent 5-track EP, ABBA Uncovered, features a handful of some of ABBA's greatest hits, like the wide-eyed and passionate tune "The Name of the Game." Matilda Lindell's rendition of this classic hit is refreshing. The experience opens with a more fragile version of the melodic instrumentals through her lush piano melodies and emotion-drenched background strings that haunt the listener's speakers. As Matilda Lindell makes her breathtaking and fragile vocal appearance, she shifts this classic hit into a vulnerable and chilling ballad that helps us get to know her artistic ways that much more. She has no problem demanding the listener's attention with her heavenly vocals that chill the spine with stunning melodies backed by ABBA's lyrics that we can't help but sing along with. A refreshing listening experience isn't far out of reach when Matilda Lindell enters the picture. We invite you to experience her heartfelt rendition of ABBA's "The Name of the Game," along with four other classic hits on her recent EP, ABBA Uncovered. Find the single and EP on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Matilda Lindell. What led you to create an entire EP of ABBA covers with ABBA Uncovered? How long was this project in the making? I've been a part of an ABBA tribute touring the US for over a decade, so these songs have become important to me. I'm Swedish, so ABBA is also just a part of our culture, so their music runs in my blood. But the idea to rearrange some of my favorites from ABBA's epic tracks came about when I had writer's block, and it was hard to find inspiration for my own music. I guess the pressure that comes with being an artist and songwriter just held me back for some reason. So I thought I'd try to find my creativity again by rearranging and making something very personal from these songs that I love and that are a big part of me. I arranged and recorded the songs in 2019 and released the first single in early 2020, but then I got a bit sidetracked by the pandemic, as many of us were. Now the EP is finally out in the world! What vision did you have in mind for your cover of ABBA's hit, "The Name of the Game?" Why did you choose to take a more intimate and emotional piano-based route? I wanted to "uncover" the songs, strip them down, and let the melodies and lyrics live within a new emotional landscape, so to speak. I have sung these songs so many times, and it's like I've been peeling off layer by layer, getting deeper into the songs. For "The Name of the Game," I wanted to repurpose that well-known baseline in some way but paint a different picture, so I got inspired by the Swedish folklore style to get some Scandinavian heavy-heartedness in there. Or, I guess, even more than it already had. For the whole EP, I chose to have only one voice backed up by strings and, in this case, also piano. I love how "The Name of the Game" ended up having jazzy folklore influences with a gospel feel and then the orchestral strings on top of that to add some drama! What does "The Name of the Game" by ABBA mean to you? How did this original song impact you, and why did you choose to cover it? ABBA's lyrics are often so to the point and intimate. In "The Name of the Game," I find the toggle back and forth between the hesitation and hope so real, feelings most of us are very familiar with trying to find love. And there are so many parts in this song that enhance the story, and I thought it would be interesting to rearrange. And it was! Which other songs from your ABBA Uncovered EP are you most proud of? Which song was your favorite to record? Can I say all of them? They all are special in different ways! But I am very proud of Dancing Queen. I definitely changed it a lot from the original version. My intention was to turn the happy disco tune about a young girl's night out into a celebration for women, bringing encouragement and hope! I wanted to show a vulnerable and honest view of women’s lives. We need to believe in ourselves and support each other, and my message in my rendition is to promote female empowerment. What's next for you? I am continuing the tours with "The Concert - a tribute to ABBA", we recently performed at the Hollywood Bowl in LA! So fun. And these songs are just getting deeper into my heart as we go. I also have a few solo shows with "ABBA Uncovered" coming up. And I am so ready to write and record more of my own music! Rearranging these songs did help to bring the creativity back, and the support from my wonderful fans are also very encouraging I think it won't take too long for the next release to happen! - Gbeke Made Herself Her “Top Priority”
Bringing the sounds of her roots from Nigeria, Gbeke presents a new proposal in the R&B scene, a song charged with self-love to remind you, you are your “Top Priority.” Gbeke is an artist convinced that music is capable of saying what simple words can’t. With that in mind, she has imbued her work with poetry and the channeled energy of the intense emotions she has experienced in moments of joy and difficulties. Gbeke uses art to turn chaos into beautiful music. “Top Priority” is an amazing convergence between R&B and afrobeat sounds; the result is a moving and chilling rhythm that envelops your ears and mind to listen to what Gbeke has to say. The track is so sweet and smooth that when she says, ‘I know it hurts, but it helped you see your worth,’ you close your eyes and relate to the incoming lyrics with your heart opened. The intro of “Top Priority” is an ethereal keys melody that gets you in the relaxing mood of the song, then Gbeke’s voice gets in with the drum’s unparalleled flow of afrobeat. From now on, each word she sings can bring the most hurting memories and bury them under the power of self-esteem in her lyrics and her voice. Gbeke’s voice is seducing and strong, and paired with the incredible track of “Top Priority,” is capable of captivating your senses. When it ends, her emotional message has reached your heart, and the fresh taste of such a great song takes you to press the repeat button. Not only are you a masterpiece, Gbeke, but your song is too. Whether you just want to chill a bit, or you need to remind yourself that you are the most worthy being in the world, you must listen to “Top priority” now. Welcome to BuzzMusic Gbeke, and congratulations on your latest release, "Top Priority." How did making “Top Priority” help you overcome your pain? By writing “Top Priority,” I could process the pain of betrayal by finding my voice and truly expressing the hurt, anger, and heartbreak I was feeling. I pushed through those negative feelings to find myself and discover my worth. Along the way, I felt loneliness which was super uncomfortable, but it resulted in me loving myself and putting myself first. This song really helped me grow in both my self-perception and acceptance. I finally realized that I was enough. How do your experiences help you grow as an artist? My experiences have made me a well-rounded artist because I am able to share my stories to encourage myself and others. My motto is “Encourage Everyone Everywhere,” and I do this by taking the worst of what I’ve been through to paint the best possible picture. Telling my stories gives me the opportunity to share a piece of myself in a beautiful, rhythmic style. Through writing music, I have been able to overcome trauma, including depression, anxiety, sexual assault, and suicide. I have grown stronger, wiser, and more comfortable with telling my story. Who are the people that have supported you the most in the making process of “Top Priority”? The people who supported me the most during the process of making “Top Priority” were my little sister, Kore; my brother, Bibi; and my close friends, Taty and Rebecca. I always sing newly written songs for my little sister, not just to get her approval but also to have another set of ears. I had only written the melody for the song when I first sang it, and she encouraged me to keep writing as it was a hit. Once I finished writing it, I invited Kore and Taty to tag along with me to the studio so I could record it. They hyped me up during the whole session when quite honestly, I wasn’t sure how it was going to sound. However, after I got it mixed, I sent it to my brother in Nigeria, and he told me that this was ‘the one.’ Rebecca encouraged me by emphasizing the theme of the song and continually reminding me that I come first, no matter what I’ve been through. I also gained support from my larger network of friends and family (my Gems – Gbekes Enthusiastic Music Supporters), who pushed me to shoot the video. The rest is history! How would you like to impact the people who listen to “Top priority?” I want to impact the world with “Top Priority” by sending the message to always put yourself first. Sometimes, being selfish isn’t a bad thing. Specifically for people-pleasers like myself, it is necessary to be selfish at times. It’s easy to forget to make yourself a priority, whether you have kids, dependents, a job, a degree you’re striving for, or even a partner. I always keep this saying in the back of my mind, “you can’t pour from an empty cup.” So, take that day off. Snooze that alarm for an extra 10 minutes. Break up with that toxic partner. Set yourself free from the bounds and confines of others and the expectations that come with them because life is too short. And you’re worth loving yourself first. What's next for you? I have so many things lined up over the next several months. “Top Priority” is one of the singles I am releasing off of my upcoming EP, Love Gbeke, which will debut on February 10, 2023. The 6-track EP is about my personal journey and struggle with self-love. I am excited about the singles that I will be dropping ahead of its release, including “FMSL,” “Over It,” and “On the Line.” I am also working on more visuals and collaborations as well, so stay tuned, Gems! - Baba Jenkins Turns The Night “Wild”
The quartet Baba Jenkins blends rock, blues, and country in their powerful song “Wild.” The sound of it will fill tonight’s air with energy and sensuality as it takes out your hottest moves. Baba Jenkins is what happens when you take four fantastic musicians, and they put together the best of their favorite genres. What comes out of it is a rich combination of sounds, sometimes, it has a profound message, and others are fun and energizing, like “Wild.” But most importantly, they always give us music that they feel, so we can feel it too. “Wild” promises what it delivers; it is wild in its sound and lyrics in a way that transmits euphoria, passion, and fun. Undoubtedly, it was inspired by the impressive outdoors, the serenity and power of nature, and the intimate and romantic love of the relationship between a wife and a husband. You can also see that reflected in the video directed by Katie Pyne. As you press the play button, the instrumentals build a wall of sound that soon reaches its peak. Every note played by trumpet and sax hypes the mood while Keefer’s guitar and William’s bass wave those chords keeping the energy of the song high. Gaha’s drum sets the pace to make you move as Worthen’s voice, potent and sensual, sings the seductive lyrics of “Wild.” Listening to “Wild” makes that animal-like self come out, the one who wants to give in its senses to the music and turn any gray and dull night into a hot and sweet moment. So Grab your bae, pull closer, and get “Wild.” A warm welcome to BuzzMusic Baba Jenkins and a big congratulations on your latest release, "Wild." What were your musical references when making “Wild?" This is a funny story. It was the last day of our 3-day recording session in mid-April 2021. We had knocked out the first five songs for the album and were waiting to shoot an impromptu music video for Rendezvous. Our friend George was setting up the lights when Skooter hit a couple of notes which had a bluesy feel to them, and I followed that with a couple of notes. Then Ekko kicked in, and then Rone started cuffing lyrics, and the next thing we know, the song was pretty much written on the spot, all of us standing in the middle of the floor in Studio 2. Crazy how unplanned it really was. I realize that didn’t exactly answer the question, but the truth is it describes perfectly how Baba Jenkins writes music, organic with no preconceived genres. What does the song “Wild” mean for the group now? We released “Wild”, which was our fourth single, on July 22nd. Not only did it land out of the box on an Official Spotify Playlist in position 10 called Modern Blues Rock, but it made it onto 65 other playlists and counting. We then followed it up with the music video a few weeks later, which has 100,000 views already and tripled our YouTube subscriber count. So this song has been huge for us. If anyone hasn’t heard it or seen it, please follow us wherever you get your music and subscribe to our YouTube Channel. What did you learn from making “Wild” for your future work? Great question. As far as the song, I’d have to say don’t overthink it, and always play to emotion. Some of the ideas that come out of nowhere end up being the best as far as the video, telling a good story that you put a lot of thought into goes a long way. How has making such a passionate song like “Wild” influenced your romantic relationships? Oh, probably have to Rone that question, lol, but people do “respond” to it when we play it live; it gets ‘em going! (did that answer the question?? lol). What's next for you? There is a lot going on! We just finished a show opening for Keith Harris; we have our Album Release Event for our debut album “COPPER” on October 7th, the same day the album drops. We have a big showcase at The Hotel Café in Hollywood on November 10th, and we would LOVE to see the place packed! So come out and see us. You can follow us on Instagram @Babajenkinsofficial for all the latest show information and updates on Baba Jenkins, and subscribe to our Spotify and YouTube channels for new music and video drops! - Travis Houze Sees Life From Different Angles In 'Iridescent'
Hailing from Washington DC, singer-songwriter, hip-hop recording artist, and musician Travis Houze returns with one of his most personal releases to date, his sophomore 13-track album, Iridescent. The photographer and creative director became fascinated with poetry and the hip-hop genre at a young age, leading him to his debut full-length conceptual album, Midnight Season, in 2021. Inspired by acts like Lupe Fiasco, A Tribe Called Quest, and Kendrick Lamar, Travis Houze is continuing the momentum with the release of his newest album, Iridescent. Houze explains that at the beginning of creating the album, he received the news that he would be a father. Now, with the Iridescent, Travis Houze expresses how fatherhood taught him to see things from different angles, and he hopes listeners will find their own meaning and intent with each track. The album opens with the introductory track, "Shine Tonight," a sweet and sultry r&b-inspired groove that drenches the speakers in passion and emotion. Travis Houze's smooth and velvety vocals make their way into the foreground alongside the jazzy and groovy production that leaves us tapping our toes. Travis Houze does a great job opening the album with such passion and charisma that leaves the listener wanting more. On track number two, "Silence (feat. Ro Bettinelli)," Travis Houze jumps into a similar mid-tempo r&b/jazz groove that dances through the speaker with intimacy and passion. Ro Bettinelli's heavenly vocals bring this sonically delicious vibe that's matched with Travis Houze's cool, calm, and composed performance stylings. We can definitely hear some introspective and vocal similarities to Kendrick Lamar in this tune, making it all the more impactful. Turning up the groove with track number three, "New Dawn (feat. Emily McNally)," this slow-burn r&b banger seeps through the speakers with chilling bass licks, soft piano melodies, tightly-knit background synths, and Travis Houze's whispery vocals. It's a refreshing song that invites listeners to join Travis Houze on his trek into the New Dawn alongside Emily McNally's lush vocals that dance and linger in the background with composure. Pumping up the party is the album's fourth track, "It's Alright," stomping through the speakers with hefty and high-energy drum breaks alongside Travis Houze's energetic flow. While grooving to the unique sonic arrangements, Travis Houze displays all the love and passion in his exciting bars that flow past the listener like a river. This slight sonic nostalgia in this song takes us back to the prime time of classic r&b/hip-hop. Onto a slow-burn of a single, "Network (feat. Devin White & SaVannah White)," this downtempo tune melts into the foreground with soothing drum beats and tender background sonics that add a groovy and lush texture. Devin White kicks off his bars with such confidence and charisma, while SaVannah White blesses us with her rhythmic bars to create a unique dynamic. Travis Houze grabs our attention near the outro to end the song with this alluring and haunting vibe that we truly can't get enough of. Leaping into track number six, "Nightcap (feat. Deja)," we're blessed with another deep and groovy r&b tune that serenades us with the utmost passion and sensuality. Travis Houze invites us to fall back into the beats in this heavenly track, especially as Deja floods the speakers with her angelic vocals that sing a sweet and sultry message. This song is a true treat for the ears that we're sure any listener will adore. Reaching the album's seventh track and mid-way point, "Tellin' (feat. Nikko Miles)," we drift into a bright and beaming r&b atmosphere while Travis Houze and Nikko Miles bless us with their soothing vocals and intriguing lyrics. The smooth piano melodies paired with the mid-tempo drums alongside Miles and Houze's lush vocals are a mix made in heaven, and we love the playful twists and turns both artists bless us with. Ramping up the vibe is track number eight, "World In Your Eyes," we feel a similar sonic vibe as Kaytranada but with Travis Houze's authentic and sultry vocal delivery. It's one of the grooviest and feel-good songs on the album, and we're sure it will be a favorite for many listeners who feast their ears on this dynamic tune. It doesn't get much better than Travis Houze's smooth sailing vocals alongside modern funk/r&b groove. Landing on track number nine, "Checkmate," Travis Houze throws us into this deeply reflective and soft listening experience with delicate drums and plucky guitars. His composed and relaxed vocal delivery brings listeners into this sonic dreamland while he keeps them hooked with engaging lyrics and his irresistible flow. There's no doubt that listeners will adore Travis Houze's captivating lyrical content and storytelling in this track. Bringing back the vocal stylings of Emily McNally for track number ten, "Pray," Travis Houze blesses us with his glimmering and gleaming r&b instrumentals alongside his velvety vocals. McNally's soothing background vocals bring a dynamic back and forth to the song that's bound to keep any listener hooked on the palpable chemistry and passion. It's another slow groover that leaves you bopping your head to the mid-tempo beat. Onto the eleventh track, "Foundation," we're met with the softest piano melodies that drift into a heavenly hip-hop/r&b beat with Travis Houze's soft and airy vocals. His lush whispers and vocal cadences bring such a deep and personal layer to the track that feels like getting to know Houze on a personal level. His introspective bars in this track are top-tier, and we're sure his audience will appreciate such an honest and intimate creation like this. Hopping into track number twelve, (Know Your Way (feat. BIRDSY)," Travis Houze catapults us into a mesmerizing mix of modern r&b and old-school hip-hop drums while feeding our speakers with his emotional and personal bars. BIRDSY's vibrant vocals pick up the listener like a breath of fresh air, encouraging them to continue their journey and know their way. This sweet and inspirational bop might be our favorite listening experience on the album. Reaching the album's thirteenth and outro track, "Good Job (Bonus Track)," this song features artists Nikko Miles and DOn't Change! As the carnival-esque hip-hop beat dances through the speakers, Travis Houze kicks off his bars while commanding our attention with composure and confidence. Nikko Miles and DOn't Change! jump into their verses with equal intensity and playfulness, keeping the listener engaged with each and every move. It's about time you bless your ears with the sonic and lyrical treat they deserve through Travis Houze's dynamic sophomore album, Iridescent, now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome back to BuzzMusic, Travis Houze. Congratulations on releasing your sophomore album, Iridescent. How does this album differ and stand out from your debut album, Midnight Season? Thank you so much for having me again! It’s interesting because I see 'Iridescent' as the “spiritual successor” to my 2021 debut album. As I looked back on Midnight Season, I realized I spent most of the time asking myself, “Can I make an album?” and with this project, I asked myself, “Can I do that again and better?” While I still love the atmosphere established on Midnight Season, it was important for Iridescent to be a natural transition to the melodies and styles I listen to on a regular basis. I'm really big on cohesion and album sequencing, so I would listen to the songs hundreds of times in different orders. That way, I was able to see how closely the music played next to one another to make the best version of the album possible. Were there any moments or experiences that inspired you to create the album Iridescent? What helped me create the album Iridescent was taking some time to travel in the last year to familiar places and some new ones. Stepping into fatherhood played a lot into the album's themes, as well as becoming the leader and admitting there's no telling what the future holds, but I'll sure try to find that out somehow and someway. I went to Block Island in Rhode Island late last year and was blown away at how serene the location was and felt so detached from the city way I was used to growing up. Being able to sit on that beach and looking out into the horizon inspired the first single on the album "Silence." What were your collaborations like for Iridescent? What was your experience working with so many talented artists? It was important to include close musicians I've admired and worked with to return for this project (Nikko Miles, Deja, Devin White, Savannah White), but was willing to reach out to musicians with new and unique flavors. Ro Bettenelli is a singer from Argentina who I found out about shortly after recording the first album, and her style always stuck in the back of my mind for the future. Emily McNally comes from an indie pop-folk background which really brought a calm tone to the songs "New Dawn" and "Pray." Do you have a favorite song from Iridescent? Which song are you the proudest of and why? It honestly changes with each day. It's so hard for me to say I have a favorite song since I have about 2 currently. "Silence" is one I'm truly proud of because I felt like not only was it a song that organically came together but tapped something inside that I felt was really missing from my music last time. Another song I would say is "Tellin'." Nikko Miles has always been a close collaborator of mine, and of the eight songs we've done together over time, this one is my favorite for how it naturally came together with the great production from Kayro. What do you want your audience to experience when hearing Iridescent? What do you hope they take away from the album? I just want audiences to have a good time with this album. Something that's chill but picks up the energy when it needs to. I consider myself a Hip Hop artist that likes to play with the changes while never forgetting the roots of what made me get into Hip Hop in the first place. What I like about this album is that many of the songs can live in their own individual spaces while still feeling connected to a larger puzzle. As I sat here talking about it, I found out Pray was in a couple of Gospel-driven playlists which I never imagined the first time I wrote it. However, it made me glad to see that the songs can be accepted in places, and I'm excited to see how much further the songs and the whole album go from here. Instagram
- Jesse Vega Looks For Wonderland In “Alice”
From the illuminated streets of New York City, Jesse Vega pays tribute to Alice In Wonderland through his pop single “Alice,” a gift to the fans of this fantastic story. Jesse Vega is an actor, dancer, comedian, and musician. In sum, he’s an artist who likes to explore many fields and feed his craft on what he finds. There is no wonder why he takes such a great story like Alice in Wonderland and makes a cover of Lady Gaga’s “Alice.” “Alice” is exactly what the lyrics say, a search for a world where your heart is alive. It places you in a world of fantasy. You just need to give in your mind to the music. In other words, “Alice” is a song you would listen to on the best night in a club you could ever imagine. Getting into the song, it begins with an incredible instrumental that you would hear in an epic adventure movie and Jessie Vega’s voice inviting you to go with him to ‘a world where your mind can be free.’ The story continues with a powerful track that combines drums, violin, and key sounds alongside the energetic and exciting voice of Jesse Vega. As “Alice” goes on, you want to go home less and less. The pauses and changes of sounds are dynamic and thrilling, and every second is a charge of happiness that you can’t miss. It seems that little Alcie has gone to a party, and it is amazing. Press the play button and get on a trip to a land of fantasy through Jesse Vega’s new single, or rabbit hole, “Alice.” Welcome to BuzzMusic Jesse Vega, and congratulations on your fantastic new release, "Alice." What inspired you to make a cover of Lady Gaga’s “Alice?” The minute I heard Lady Gaga’s song “ALICE” in her 2020 studio album “Chromatica”. I was Hooked on the song, production, and dramatics of how she delivered vocally that I had To do a cover of it. I knew If Gaga would do a visual for it, it wouldn’t be the interpretation that you see on my YouTube channel. As artists, we gravitate to our own perception of how we see a song's visual take on what caters to us. So for me, Disney and Musical Theatre is where my heart lies, and the song “ALICE” was a perfect way for me to do an “ALICE In Wonderland” theme music video. What were the most enjoyable moments when making “Alice?” The most enjoyable moment doing “Alice” was working with the team. When I mean The team, I mean The people behind making the visual happen. Working with Phoenix Rosario, the cinematographer for the visual, and my Choreographer, Virgo Beauty, was making the journey easy. They were just as passionate as I was. Making the visual not only for us but for the world to see. Everyone put in their take with love, dedication, and hard work to make the video happen. Let me tell you, leading up to production was not easy. How do you expect making “Alice” impact your career? Hopefully, with the grace of god. Theatre Producers or Music A&R or, more importantly, people in the TV or Theatre world. Can view this and see how much talent and passion I have To be a perfect fit to be in their projects when it comes to musicals. All my life, since the age of 15, I have always wanted to be part of a musical but never got the opportunity. The only time I was in was J.R. high's “The Wiz.” Other than that, no one has offered me the opportunity; hopefully, this will be it. What other stories would you like to include in your music? Heartbreak, Love, and even empowerment themes. I am in pre-planning my next single off my third independent studio project. It would be more intimate, emotional, and heartfelt. It’s a song I feel is near and dear that I went through life experiences, and that song will be a mini Short Film Music Video for the top of 2023. What's next for you? Enjoying the ride of this release of “Alice,” sending it to everyone and anyone to view this as my audition reel to book me in their projects pertaining to musical theatre. Lastly, saving money after all of this for the Christmas holidays, haha. Instagram Facebook
- iBleazy Declares His Love In “F4U”
Moving between Northern Colorado and Southern California, Pop/Hip-hop singer and songwriter iBleazy sings a declaration of love in “F4U.” iBleazy has come a long way in his artistic life. His journey started at high school, participating in multiple talent shows; since then, he gave music a huge place in his life, and it has grown over the years as he improves his craft. Now he is creating songs to sing bluntly about life, mental health, and love. “F4U” is the new peak iBleazy has reached in his musical path. It is a romantic and feel-good song you would like to sing to that special one. iBleazy uses his powerful and emotional vocals to say that love matters, and it transforms your life, and he does a fantastic job saying it than through the sounds of tender pop. Press the play button and hear the electric guitar playing nostalgic chords, bringing sweet memories as iBleazy’s voice gets in. It is gentle and melodic, making the lyrics run smoothly to your heart, almost like he’s reading a handwritten love letter. “F4U” has a dreamy ambiance full of roses and promises; it just sounds like falling in love. iBleazy’s is an extraordinary storyteller, and it is amazing how he managed to put his emotions in such sincere words. While he demonstrates his vocal abilities, he sings about how he is willing to spend his life with his beloved one and take the poison of the rough moments and mood swings. Well, that’s true love for you. Are you in love? Then “F4U” is the song to remember or better sing to that person. Love is waiting for you, so don’t make it wait. Go listen to it, available today on all streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMsuic iBleazy, and congratulations on your latest release, "F4U." How challenging was it to put such intense emotions into words when writing “F4U?” The biggest thing with songwriting is learning that when you are putting your art out there, you're putting your feelings and emotions into it, really leaving all things on the table to be said. The emotion of the song comes from the love-drunk feeling you get when you know you're in something that is nothing but a toxic-filled box, and you get that energy, strength, courage, or whatever you want to call it to get up and say you know what I'm out. Even if I helped create some of the "crazy," I still got to go, and nothing you can do even though "high key" the other person still has you wrapped; you know what is best is to leave or move on. I wanted this emotion to come from a guy's point of view as well because we hear it so often from female performers. I wanted to destigmatize the "all men are trash" symbolism and bring it back to a level of reality of it happening on both ends. Both men and women are equally as guilty. What makes “F4U” different from your other songs? "F4U" differs from my other music in many ways. From the music itself, really diving into a new era of future bass, pop rock sounding elements, and big breaks. To even lyrically change what I have done in the past. Like the above, I'm at a point where if my songs put out an intense emotion or intense meaning, it is fully meant. We are being blunt and not holding back in this era of music. Straight to the point. From music that is already out there, I try really hard to come up with catchy melodies or easily sing-along-type lyrics. Being an independent artist, you are fighting against big music companies, and you have to do everything and anything to separate yourself from the rest. One thing about iBleazy, is you are always going to get different moods, different genres, and just different vibes all the way around. Got to keep it fresh! What message would you like to add to “F4U” that you couldn’t say in the song? When you asked me this, the first thing that came to mind was honesty. The message is as simple the truth will set you free. The longer you lie or, the more you lie, the more sh&% that comes with it when the truth is finally out there. Be straight up from the get-go. A quick way to see yourself out of my life in any sort of situation is to lie to me. How much has love been the fuel for creating your music? I think love is only 1% of it, honestly. We all love, love. The idea of love and being in love. It's a universal language. My fuel for creating comes from many places. Mental health, relationships; platonic and romantic, Life experiences, life wants, and dreams! I don't want to ever get to a point in my career as an artist where my music is one-sided and talks about one thing. You are going to get it ALL from me. What's next for you? World Domination! No, in all seriousness, for iBleazy, I think the next thing is really just marketing the F out of iBleazy and who I am and what I/it represents. The love and support thus far from everyone have been nothing short of amazing, and now we elevate that to the next level. Live performances, features, appearances, Merch (clothing) lines or collaborations, and so much more. My biggest goal over the next year is to get into the Silent Disco lineup and Global Dance Festival here in Denver, Colorado next year. I guess it does kind of sound like world domination, huh? Get to know how Craig Greenberg spent most of his quarantine with the refreshing and heartfelt new single, "Quarantine Queen," now available on all digital streaming platforms. What experiences with the pandemic inspired you to create your new single, "Quarantine Queen"? What did you want the song to be about? Hi, thanks for having me. Well, I was confined to home a lot, as we all were, and being single for a good while, then I went on a couple of virtual dates, as well as a couple of dates IRL (ie, masked and outside at a park) which was, umm, interesting. It was a lonely time for me, and to keep myself from losing it, I wrote a song about my vision of a dream girl to spend the lockdown with. What was your goal for the sound and vibe of the instrumentals in "Quarantine Queen"? What sort of listening experience did you want to create for your audience? Being that most of my music is piano based, I was excited to just record a guitar rocker. QQ is one of only a couple of songs I've recorded that doesn't feature any piano or keyboard. As far as a listening experience, I really like the song content coming out of a dark and difficult time, being paired with a tune and vibe that is light-hearted and kind of sweet. I actually really love when that kind of juxtaposition happens in a song. What was the best part about creating such a lively and passionate song like "Quarantine Queen"? What was your favorite part about the experience? Well, I just feel fortunate that I was able to keep creative during a challenging period, to "make lemonade", as I know many other musicians and songwriters who just shut down during that time. For me, keeping busy with music is what kept me from going off the rails. Is "Quarantine Queen" included in your 2022 EP? Could you share a bit more about this project and what it might be about? YES, it will be on the "Between The Sea and The Sky" EP coming in December! The title of the EP comes from a song on it of the same name, it refers to arriving at the middle point in life (i was 45 during the recording of the record) and questioning your place in the world. Ultimately, I reaffirmed my path and realized that even though I may have lived half my life in terms of years, I'm really just beginning on my path as a songwriter and musician. It's a nice feeling and far preferable to a mid-life crisis..lol! What's next for you? Shortly after the single comes out, I will release the music video for the song, which I'm very excited about! And next Thurs Oct 6th, we'll be celebrating the song release with a CG Band show at Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 2) in downtown NYC. After that, I will be getting together the artwork and putting the finishing touches on the EP for release in December. Then at some point in 2023, I will start on the next record. I have a lot of music written since the pandemic that I want to put out! Instagram

- ADELINE’s Empowering New Single, “Like It That Way”
French-born ADELINE wanted her debut to be cohesive and to best express who she is as an artist. Because she was raised in Tokyo, Geneva, Singapore, Copenhagen, and Montreal, she has a multicultural background that is a fundamental part of her identity. This might be one of the reasons why she is continuously drawn to variety and experimentation in her creative process. Adeline published her debut EP, 'Like It That Way,' in September 2022. Her new contemporary electro-pop production showcases her innovative sound direction. Her style is characterized as pop with a hint of folk and soul, and the EP is full of catchy melodies and traditional pop hooks. The energetic and joyful EP's title song is titled "Like It That Way." The EP and song "Like It That Way," which share the same name, have a lively and cheerful tone. Consequently, this collection is vibrant, empowering, and joyful. Themes of self-love, empowerment, loss, love, celebration, and mental health are all explored in "Like It That Way." ADELINE skillfully strikes a balance between the song's upbeat and happy musicality and its underlying, poignant message. Since it discusses mental health and our daily struggle to choose positivity, love, and joy inwardly, regardless of how things may appear externally, the title tune is very important, very current, and very meaningful to the artist. "Like It That Way" is particularly precious to ADELINE, and it should also touch a deep string within you! ADELINE has been able to use pop music to spread an uplifting and empowering message; we hope you connect to this wonderful song. Welcome to BuzzMusic ADELINE, and a huge congratulations on your latest EP and title track, "Like It That Way." What three aspects of your life do you think you put most into ‘’Like It That Way?" First, a core aspect of my brand & life values is a celebration. I don’t think we celebrate our little wins enough; we have the tendency to only wait for a massive event to take place when truly, there are so many little successes and moments of gratitude that we can celebrate and recognize. So, this song and EP really put forth this festive aspect of adopting celebration as a way of life! Second, just being silly and playful. This song & music video has lighthearted and playful elements to it, which reflect my personality of not taking myself too seriously and being cheerful. And lastly, the importance of mental health. My academic background is in neuroscience and mental health, and so if I can pair my music with a meaningful message on choosing gratitude & self-love, I’m really proud of that! Is there anything you’d like to add that you couldn’t put into the song and wish listeners took to heart? The beauty when releasing singles is that each song gets its own universe and moment. I’m very involved in every aspect of my music, including everything visual, which I’m also very passionate about! It’s been so wonderful to create unique visual worlds to represent each song differently. Listeners can, therefore, really experience the song in a deeper way with the associated visual content, which creates a whole atmosphere around the music! What message do you want people to take away from "Like It That Way?" I hope people are reminded to take breaks to celebrate, dance around their kitchen, and practice gratitude. Even the first song on this EP, “Higher,” talks about feeling on top of the world when you’re surrounded by your loved ones. The lyrics “we’ve got everything we need here” reminds us to cherish where we’re at, what we have, and who is around us in the present moment. I like to write feel-good & uplifting music, and that’s how I want people to feel after listening to this EP. What's next for you? I’m hard at work on my next project, which will most likely be another EP/album! I’m always writing and working with new producers to continue to expand my craft & grow. I'm singing and songwriting in French and Spanish as well on this new project, which has been very fun & creatively stimulating. Most of the audio work is finished at this point – I am working on the visual side. I love turning my music into visual stories, which will be available in early 2023! Instagram Facebook
