- Float Through the “Nocturnal Sea” With Pedestrian Lifestyle’s New EP
Ambient post-rock trio Pedestrian Lifestyle from Thunder Bay, Ontario shares their latest set of dreamy tunes in their new 2-track EP, Nocturnal Sea. Pedestrian Lifestyle is guitarist and vocalist Josh Talakoski, bassist Leif Peltonen, and drummer Dylan Maxwell. Formed in 2008, their sound is influenced by acts like Radiohead, Warpaint, U2, Foals, and many more. Together, they create lush, dreamy, and introspective alt-rock that speaks on death, isolation, nostalgia, and feeling lost. The trio brings these introspective themes to life in their latest EP, Nocturnal Sea. It's an incredibly chilling yet refreshing listening experience that merges traditional rock rhythms with contemporary production to create a sound entirely of its own. The project opens with the intro and title track, "Nocturnal Sea," melting our speakers with soft vocal samples and a melodic electric guitar alongside crisp hi-hats and Talakoski's breathy vocals. As Pedestrian Lifestyle lays the soothing and gentle sonic foundation, they gradually ramp up the energy and anticipation that resembles the sensations of being locked in a lonesome dream. They later smash our speakers with vibrant and rich alternative rock instrumentals to bring the song to its climax while reminding us that navigating life on your own is no easy feat. A similar reflective theme continues in the second and outro track, "Sunlight," which peacefully opens with gentle electric guitar melodies, sweet percussion, and Talakoski's fluid vocals. We appreciate how Pedestrian Lifestyle merges alternative rock with modern electronic elements to create this lush and euphoric listening experience. Peltonen's rhythmic bassline and Maxwell's dynamic drums keep the soul alive while Talakoski sings of trying to hold onto something beneficial and not let failure hold him back. It's a bright, dreamy, and introspective tune that closes the project with relatable emotion that knows no bounds. We invite you to dive into the dreamy and dazzling world of Pedestrian Lifestyle's deeply reflective 2-track EP, Nocturnal Sea, now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Pedestrian Lifestyle. We're truly in awe of the dreamy and lush sounds within your recent EP, Nocturnal Sea. What experiences or moments inspired your group to create this pensive EP? I think the inspiration for this EP was to just create something for the sake of creating something. We worked on this early on in the pandemic, and the mindset was to just put something out there. At one point in time, we weren't sure if shows were actually going to be a thing we'd be able to do for a while, so the idea was to just make something as a means to continue creating and moving our band in a forward direction. Could you break down your band's creative process between members when formulating the instrumentals for Nocturnal Sea? What did that process look like? In terms of creating the actual EP, the title track 'Nocturnal Sea' had existed for a while. I (Josh) had written that song all in one shot very late one night, which represented my writing process at the time of just only feeling inspired at later hours of the evening or just feeling like my brain was only fully turned on at night. That whole idealism was kind of the building block for the themes of the song itself. Everything was kind of all mapped out aside from vocal melodies and lyrics. But I presented it to the other two guys in the band, and collectively we made it into what you hear now, more or less. It was then honed in a live context by having it in our set for shows for quite some time before we went to record it, and that polished it up to its final form. As for the others, those were much more studio songs. The song 'Sunlight' was us building a song from the ground up. A part would get made, and then someone else would come in, add something to it, and so on and so forth. We kind of put that one together like some weird puzzle with no real road map or idea of what it was going to sound like in the end. There's a sense of excitement doing it that way. When you finally get to hear what it sounds like and you're pleasantly surprised by the end product. The recorded version of 'Nocturnal Sea' sounded exactly the way we all imagined in our heads, and 'Sunlight' was more of an experimental process that took us down a few different roads and let us explore some new sounds. The acoustic half, which is available on the physical version of the EP, was also a nice little way for us to explore. It gave us the opportunity to showcase ourselves in a more stripped-down manner and not lean back on our comfort zone of big noisy guitars and loud drums. Those songs were more delicate to work on, and we really had to think about those ones a lot because of their stripped-down nature of them. What common themes do the two songs on Nocturnal Sea share? Why did you want these songs featured together on their own project? I think we felt like 'Nocturnal Sea' and 'Sunlight' would compliment each other in the end. They are both stepping into a bigger territory sonically for us while still maintaining the sound that is our band. 'Nocturnal Sea' focuses on the clarity that the night can bring in the sense of feeling like your mind is fully awake to process things to the full extent, but also the pitfall that can bring by getting caught up in your own head, too much and losing yourself in that space. While the song 'Sunlight' is driven more by positivity and hopefulness, finding that thing that keeps you going and gives your life meaning. There's a bit of a yin and yang quality with them. We kind of intended 'Sunlight' to be more of a glorified B-side for this release, but in the end, we consider these two songs both Aside pairings and a good fit with each other. What was the most rewarding part about creating Nocturnal Sea? What did you appreciate most from experience? It may sound a little cliche, but just being able to create and put it out there was the most rewarding part. With all the uncertainty going on in the world with pandemic-related things and whatnot, at one point in time, it was hard to see if doing music could actually still be a thing with all the changes and restrictions. So being able to just continue making music was a reward for us. That being said, there is still a great sense of pride for this release. We really feel like these songs hold their own and represent us fully as a band. Did you want listeners to pick up on any themes or concepts from the EP Nocturnal Sea? What do you hope the project does for listeners? I think for us, we always like to leave the door open for people to find their own meaning and interpretation of music. There's a certain amount of excitement when someone can discover their own meaning that doesn't directly relate to what it might be for us. Music is meant to be shared, and when you spend all this time creating it, when you eventually put it out there into the world, it almost becomes not yours anymore, if that makes sense. It's now out there for everyone else to absorb in whatever way they see fit. Instagram Facebook
- Jet///Lag Steams The Scene With A New Single, “Second Bet”
Seattle's very own versatile punk rock band and trio Jet///Lag reminds us that time waits for no one with their latest hard-hitting single, "Second Bet." The three-piece band was formed on their shared love of Star Wars, Marvel, DND, and power pop. Comprising Adam Bredlau on guitar and vocals, Josh Padilla on bass and vocals, and Caelan Hunter on drums and vocals, Jet///Lag found their sound through influences like The Lawrence Arms, Superchunk, Bully, and The Menzingers. So far, Jet///Lag has two EPs under their belt, All We Ever Wanted Was Everything and Ride it Out. They're also said to be releasing their first full-length album sometime soon. In the meantime, Jet///Lag is kicking over our speakers with their latest hearty release, "Second Bet," a thrilling yet emotional song about wanting to feel alive and realizing that time waits for no one. This dynamic ear-pleaser opens with Bredlau's short electric guitar strums and his mellow, chilled-out vocals. While coming to terms that he's the greatest "Second Bet," Jet///Lag topples our speakers over with their mighty transitions that blast us into a heavy punk rock atmosphere. Bredlau's angst paired with Padilla's tight bass licks and Caelan's groovy drums is a recipe for success. There are several transitions throughout the piece, bringing us into late 90s garage-rock and punk pop, but the thrilling sensations stem from Jet///Lag's scorching hot rock vibe that makes us sweat. Bredlau's honest and relatable lyrics about time's continuous state and our impending doom don't seem all that dark alongside Jet///Lag's exciting instrumentals that end the song on a carefree note. We happily invite you to jump into the blaze of Jet///Lag's fiery and relatable new release, "Second Bet," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Jet///Lag. We adore how you've captured our attention with your latest conceptual single, "Second Bet." What inspired such a cathartic and honest song like this? Thank you for the kind words about “Second Bet,” and thanks for having us be a part of BuzzMusic! This song was written back in 2019, during a period of time our front person Adam, was trying to find his place as a musician and lyricist. Jet///Lag was still new, and we didn’t know what band we wanted to be. The creative process can be long and exhausting, but through the process, “Second Bet” was written and encapsulated Adam’s feelings about a band trying to find their feet. How would you describe your band's sound in "Second Bet?" What genres or sounds did you want to push through this song? While the three of us all draw from different bands and inspirations, this song came together due to our love of bands like Jawbreaker, The Replacements, and Weezer. We all very much enjoy 80’s Alternative Rock and 90’s Pop Punk and like to think that this song was a blend of the two. What was the core message or concept you wanted listeners to take away from "Second Bet?" We wanted their to be a feeling of eagerness in this song but also a sense of self-worth. Nothing is going to happen unless you make it happen. This song feels motivating for us, and we hope that feeling can be shared by listeners! Could you drop any hints regarding your forthcoming debut full-length album? Should we expect to see "Second Bet" on the tracklist? Our new album, entitled “Lung Mass Anxiety,” will be coming out on October 7th, 2022! You most certainly will hear “Second Bet” on it, as well as a good blend of heavier songs lyric-wise and sound-wise! Do you plan on releasing a music video for "Second Bet?" Unfortunately, “Second Bet” won’t be getting a video at the moment, but we are planning a video for our next single! What should listeners anticipate to hear next from you? Speaking of the next single, that will be coming at the beginning of August 2022! Keep your eye and ears posted for “Midday Exorcist.” Instagram Facebook
- Kasie O Tells Us How She Got Through A Rough Breakup With, “Over You”
Kasie O puts us into a different frame of mind as she has us dancing and relating to her simultaneously in her new hit single, "Over you." Kasi, currently based in Boston, is a relatable singer and songwriter that combines elements like Afro-Pop and R&B to create a polished yet catchy track full of passion and emotion with just as much confidence. Kasie grew up very cultured as she grew up in an Igbo household, heavily influenced by her Nigerian culture while growing up in the United States. As a result, Kasie's songwriting started very young and grew up furthering her career and love for singing in school and church. Kasie appears to be exhibiting her feelings widely on "Over you," as her voice molds into the instrumental like a fast and furious island mix of drums and flourishing keys. She talks about things she got tired of when she was in the relationship, like "Sick of your lying" and "Sick of your fighting." Kasie is proving to us that no matter what, we can and will get through tough times in a breakup and that we do indeed deserve better. As we continue with "Over you," Kasie tells us how much time she wasted on someone who wasn't worth it and how she cannot lose herself loving someone who doesn't see the value in her. Her catchy, melodious vocals pull us up and into a safe space to vent and dance simultaneously, just as most choose to. We seem to relate to most parts for many reasons, like when she says, "I don't want to compete for you," and "Im just fed up with loving you," whether we went through it or are going through it right now. Kasie O takes us on a cloud as she exits with the most addicting vocals and says, "Im not waiting for you no more," in the most casual yet confident way, and that makes her a true queen, her heart. Let's dance our heartbreak away with Kasie O's new breathtaking single, "Over you," available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Kasie O. We appreciated every second of your reflective and emotional single "Over you." What was your main inspiration behind this personal piece? My inspiration behind this single was actually from a past relationship of mine; when I write my songs, I tend to put all my feelings and everything in my music. Kasie, could you expand more on your songwriting process for "Over you." Do you face any difficult moments when writing about emotional experiences? I for sure do because sometimes it takes me days or even weeks to finish a song because it’s coming from such an emotional experience in my life. Sometimes I have to take some time to finish. Did you create "Over you" in hopes that your listeners could find something to relate with? What did you want your audience to experience? I wrote this song because I know we as people have been in situations like this before and wanted listeners to know that we have all been there before. How can your listeners relate to you more personally with "Over you?" How does this record represent you? Well, I would say just listen to the lyrics. The music speaks for itself Im someone who loves to be loved, but when it’s time to let things go, you just have to let them go, don’t keep wasting your time. Be Strong, and take charge. Instagram
- Smooth Restina Glow’s “Live It Up:” A Nostalgic, Early Beach Boys Vibe
Are you looking for a song to get you up and dancing? Look no further than "Live it up" by Smooth Retsina Glow. With a nostalgic, early Beach Boys vibe, Smooth Retsina Glow has the modern hippy rock sound you need for your summer playlist. The production quality on this track is excellent, with a catchy beat that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. In addition, the passionate, energy-filled lyrics will breathe new life into you. Whether you're in a high-rise office building or waking up on a beach at three am, the vibes are here. The song's message is all about living in the moment and enjoying life to the fullest. It's the perfect anthem for letting loose and having a good time. Whether you're at a party or just hanging out with friends, this song will put you in the perfect mood to have a great time. So go ahead and press play on Smooth Restina Glow's latest release, "Live it up." You won't regret it. Welcome to BuzzMusic! Never could we imagine that we would be listening to a hybrid of Bruce Springsteen and the Beach Boys. Where does your inspiration come from? Interesting you mention Beach Boys- because they have always been an influence on my writing for harmonic variety- but I wouldn't say that I copped a Beach Boys chords progressions like Don't Talk or Our Sweet Love- but I think in terms of the key change for the bridge as well as the places the song's progression goes, you could make the case it was influenced. I would also add groups like Blur, XTC, The Who, Todd Rundgren, Black Keys, Joy Divison, The Smiths, and The Beatles as acts that you can detect stylistic influence for the Song Live it Up. In a world full of people trying and artists creating, where do you believe you are in your musical journey? I still believe that Smooth Retsina Glow and my journey as a songwriter/ composer is only getting started, and there are still ways to go. How would you describe your music to someone who's never heard it before? I describe it as alt/indie rock. Suppose you have ever listened to any of our three albums (2019s New Frontier, 2021's Out of the Ether, and now 2022's Metaphysical- we have morphed from the more folk/ blues sound of our first record- partially due to a change of personnel, but also through my development. Each of our records, though, has alot of different musical elements on it- but on this album, we managed to blend all of the influences (Like the beach boys, for instance) into something that had a unified genre to it, whereas on our previous two albums, especially Out of the Ether- things changed too quickly for its own good, or we attempted something stylistically that we probably shouldn't have. Do artistic choices shape your creativity? What is your diet, and how would you describe your wardrobe while creating? What I look for when I am writing is something that excites my ear. One thing that I ask myself frequently is if I wasn't part of the group and I was listening, would this be something that I would buy. I try not to recycle things from my past songs that much. What's next for you? Our 3rd album, Metaphysical, is out, and we are hard at work promoting Live it Up. On more than one occasion in the spring and early summer, we have already gigged five times in a week, and we have a few more weeks like that this summer. Some of the big shows we have include Musikfest 2022 in Bethlehem, Pa, as well as another single from the new album with a video- ETA late summer 2022. We also have our other female singer- Sarah Stoll, returning after taking a year off for college- so expect some new music in the fall. Fall is just about set- and we are already beginning to make plans for 23- which we have high expectations for. Instagram Facebook
- Ethan Mark Sparks Curiosity With, “The Concept of You”
Ethan Mark has recently begun producing his own music, and with his latest release, “The Concept of You,” this song is definitely an ear-pleaser. Ethan Mark is an up-and-coming artist from Toronto who has the ability to produce and master music that definitely should be applauded. With his indie-psychedelic soul sound, the uniqueness of this listen can't be understated. From a studio apartment in Toronto, Ethan Mark’s journey began producing music years ago, from playing guitar, piano, and saxophone in school choirs, to being solo with an old laptop, pirated music software, and a summer job that gave him too much free time. This is when he created his best work. Although music has been a passion since he was young, it didn't all make sense to him until he mastered the production of sound. “The Concept of You” was recorded, produced, and mastered by Ethan himself and is a beautiful masterpiece. In his own words, “the upcoming album came about from a challenge from my partner. She, a listener of neo-soul and jazz, challenged me to pare my usually elaborate and busy musical style down to something more organic, soulful, and pretty. The result was a series of love songs encompassing many different facets of love. The single refers to her, the sepia-toned memories of summers, the roots we have put down together, and the love for home. “ With flamenco-style guitar riffs, cascading violins, and gentle piano notes, “The Concept of You” is a soulful piece from Ethan, bearing down to the raw emotions he feels for his lover. This track has a Sufan-Stevens feel to it, that beautiful indie-psychedelic sound overlaid with beautiful harmonics and vocals. It is obvious that Ethan has created something incredible with this song, with touching lyrics and riveting vocals, accompanied by a groovy overall sound and unique instrumentals, “The Concept of You” is the title track in his new album of the same name. This self-produced masterpiece has that beautiful listening ability, easy on the ears and gentle on the soul. Wrap yourself in this musical maestro's gentle new track, “The Concept of You,” available on all streaming platforms. A warm welcome to BuzzMusic, Ethan Mark, and congratulations on your latest release "The Concept of You." Tell us about the inspiration behind your single “Concept of You.” Musically, I had been listening to a ton of flamenco music at the time. The things flamenco players can do with the classical guitar are just breathtaking. I wanted to pull from those sounds and grooves and move them into a more contemporary R&B space. Stripped back and acoustic, but rich and layered. Lyrically, it’s an ode to home, whether your “roots” are a place, a person, or even just an idea. What does this song mean to you? Prior to releasing this song, and the new album it comes from, I had been making very different music – much more dance-focused stuff. “The Concept of You” was huge for me. It proved I could venture into such a different style. I could write and perform lyrics. I could center songs around my vocals. I could record live instrumentation instead of sequencing everything on a computer. And I could make it beautiful and compelling without losing the trademarks of my sound. What was the recording, producing, and mastering process for “Concept of You?” I don’t have a fancy studio or anything like that, so it was mostly recorded and produced in my little apartment in Toronto. I find the limitations of the DIY setup actually contribute to the music. There are textures and ideas that come from recording in your own hobbled-together recording studio that would never come from a bigger setup. The production of the song is really about not ruining a good thing. The guitar is so delicious and addicting here, so the idea was to build rather than deviate, adding all these swirling layers of harmony instead of moving somewhere different. My favorite little production trick on the song is the reverse guitars. Reversing and arranging them makes for this really smooth, blossoming effect. It really makes the track glide. What do you hope listeners take away from “Concept of You?" I hope it can maybe open up some people’s ears to a wider musical palette. Drive a bit of a hunger for something different. There’s so much incredible music out there behind the more mainstream releases, both old and new. So many great artists blend genres and sounds in wonderful ways. I want to be part of that wave that surprises and tries something a bit different, and I hope people hear that with this song. What's next for you? “The Concept of You” is actually the title track for a new, entirely self-produced album of mine that I released a few weeks ago, featuring nine tracks of cosmic soul music. I am hoping to release totally acoustic versions of a track or two in the coming months. But I also have a ton of new, collaborative music on the way. I’ve been making some beautiful neo-soul music with talented friends in Toronto and in the UK. Lots of vocal harmonies and sumptuous grooves! I can’t wait to share. Instagram Twitter

Self-love doesn't come easy. It's a constant uphill battle, and it's always easier to give in to self-hatred. But hate doesn't leave us fulfilled. We need love to feel whole. Self-love is important because it reminds us that we are in control of who we are and who we are destined to be. What's next for you? I will keep doing what I'm doing—writing music, producing it, and sharing it with the world. I will continue to be appreciative of the fact that it has resonated with people. Instagram

- Live The "Outlaw" Life, With Marc Oliver's New Single And Music Video
San Deigo's own dynamic recording artist and singer-songwriter Marc Oliver captures the essence of living the "Outlaw" life in his latest single and music video. Always expect the unexpected when hitting play on Marc Oliver's tunes. He's known to blur the lines between alternative rock, pop, and r&b. He's been a force in the industry for the past 25 years, even dating Avril Lavigne at one point when sharing a studio with her. Fast forward to today, Oliver has toured the world playing various festivals alongside names like John Legend, Jewel, and Pat Benetar. He showcases the pure talent that got him here in his latest single and music video, "Outlaw." The single is a gripping alternative rock anthem with dashes of pop that help us understand the tough and rough-around-the-edges "Outlaw" life. The song's music video is quite an engaging experience. The entire video is played in reverse, where we see our protagonist lying on the ground after a western stand-off. He then reverses into the saloon, where he was thrown out and pummeled after breaking bottles on heads and smashing a noose on the table. As we move forward, err, backward, he ends up at a county jail and picks up two guns while stripping someone of their noose. The final scenes see the protagonist escaping a noose and saving someone else. After a flash bang, we're back to the start, where he rolls over, takes out the second gun he had all along, and closes the video with a literal bang. Exceptional is the perfect word to describe this conceptual music video. From playing in reverse to the timeless western theme, we truly can't get enough. Find Marc Oliver's single "Outlaw" on all digital streaming platforms and the music video on YouTube. Welcome to Buzz Music, Marc Oliver. We're thrilled to feature such a conceptual and engaging song like "Outlaw." What inspired you to create this exciting track? Thank you! I really wanted everyone to feel the walls move when the song come on. I want them to throw their hands up out of pure excitement and have a good time. I envision playing this song in a sold-out stadium, and if I was an Outlaw, I could tell them to get their hands up high. I had a lot of fun making this song. What was your experience creating the wickedly dynamic and groovy instrumentals for "Outlaw"? What sort of atmosphere or feel did you want the song to deliver? I felt like a break beat groove, with not much over it, would get people to move. I had so much fun putting this song together, I was so excited while writing it. I totally danced my way through making it. It took its own course as I wrote and become this town burring, Outlaw anthem that I think we feel like, sometimes. What was it like creating the western-themed music video for "Outlaw"? Why did you want it to play in reverse? The video shoot was so much fun. Getting done up like an 1800's western Outlaw was super cool. Definitely felt like what I was writing it for. Mitch Lamoureux, the writer and director had the "Play in reverse" in mind since the beginning of writing it. We thought it would be a cool idea to see the ending and figure out why and how it happened. What was your favorite part about making the music video for "Outlaw"? - Ana Pac Says Live Life Authentically & “Bite the Rainbow”
Montreal-born singer-songwriter, dancer, and performer Ana Pac encourages us to embrace diversity and "Bite The Rainbow" with her latest feel-good single. A triple threat, Ana Pac has appeared as a dancer in films like Netflix's Work It, produced by Alicia Keys, and Feel the Beat starring Sofia Carson. Also a speed skater and proudly open member of the LGBTQ+ community, Ana Pac focuses her music career on songs about positivity and acceptance. Pac is dedicated to her mission of letting people embrace who they are with love and joy, the core message of her latest single, "Bite The Rainbow." Here, we see Pac groove to the lively pop instrumentals while empowering listeners with lyrics about shattering the boxes societal norms put us in. "Let our similarities and differences build better hearts and minds. Let Love Rule," says Ana Pac. The new head-bopper opens with a crispy percussion beat that leaps into a groovy electric guitar melody and Ana Pac's exciting vocal performance. She wastes no time getting to the point of the song, reminding us that we're all born naked, so why not embrace our differences? The pop sonics are quite nostalgic, reminiscent of Ke$ha's undeniable reign in the 2010s. Ana Pac brings her own unique style to the song that's equally as spunky as it is inspirational, helping us take something away while getting down with the vibrant atmosphere she happily sets. Pac passionately lifts us to outro while encouraging us to celebrate our authentic lives and set our colors free. What are you waiting for? Sip, lick, and "Bite The Rainbow" with Ana Pac's exciting new single, now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Ana Pac. What an exciting listening experience you've provided with your latest single, "Bite The Rainbow." What inspired you to write such a passionate song about embracing diversity and letting your true colors shine? Everyone is full of so much potential, ideas, and beautiful things that can be brought into this world, but when you put limits on someone, it restricts who that person can become and, as a result, where this world can go. So when we ignore the boxes that societal norms try to put us in, all of a sudden, we open endless possibilities. So be proud of being yourself and also take the time to figure out who your true authentic self is. Did any artists or projects influence the sound of "Bite The Rainbow?" What vibe did you want the song to offer? I absolutely love Justin Bieber, so his influence, whether major or minor, I would say is always present in my music. I'm also a fan of BTS, and I love their sound. I'm also a dancer, so making sure it hits on a dance level as well is really important to me. Did you work alongside any producers or songwriters when creating "Bite The Rainbow?"What was that process like behind the scenes? I got to work with two very talented lyricists, Michaela May and Erica Schiopu (known as Favvks), who really understood the message that I wanted to say and who vibed really well with me. Our first writing session was good, but musically, the sound and feel I wanted to convey weren't there. So my label and I parked the song until we found the right team to bring it to life. A couple of months later, my label found Nate (known as M.E.), my producer. We reworked the song together; he took the idea that I had in my head, and not only did he bring it to life, but he also turned it into a dance party. I'm very proud of the final song and super thankful that it resonates with so many people around the world. Do you usually create such inspirational and feel-good songs like "Bite The Rainbow?" Why are these motivational songs so important to you? Yes! I went through a time when I needed positivity, and in my journey, I was told that "When you change the way you see things, the things you see change" So I started seeing and finding the good in all situations and my life was changed forever. I want to help everyone stay positive and create a world that they want to be a part of. What can listeners anticipate hearing next? More uplifting, dance-filled, positive songs - that spread messages of kindness, joy, and appreciation for one another. So stay tuned! In the meantime, thanks for all your support and for sharing my music. It means the world to me. Instagram Facebook

Wrap yourself up in Stefano Freddi’s “Days of Wine and Roses,” now available on all streaming platforms. A warm welcome to BuzzMusic Stefano Freddi, and congratulations on your brilliant new single, "Days of Wine and Roses." What was the most rewarding part about creating "Days of Wine and Roses"? What did you appreciate most about creating the single? The most rewarding part for me was dealing with the power of love songs. The lyrics of this Henry Mancini’s tune are great and amazing. I tried to put all this romanticism into music; It was not so easy because I played the instrumental version, but I hope to have succeeded. I think that emotions and feelings are often underestimated in our new modern world, so crazy, fast, and changing, so I used to stop this rushing sometimes and listen to what I felt; after that, I usually feel better. So why not share this? What impact do you hope "Days of Wine and Roses" has on your audience? Feeling alright, feeling better, feel free. I hope these songs can accompany a new love, remember a past love, or soothe the loss of a love. I hope that people listen freely to the music and enjoy it. How does "Days of Wine and Roses" contrast your previous releases? How does this song stand out in terms of sound and concepts? I used to match paintings or visual arts with my songs like I did with Five Notes Symphony The Murderer’s Tale in 2021 and with Deep Soul just some months ago. Still, in this case, I’d like to lead the listener to a simple scenario in which, in the center, the listener can reflect, get excited, and can live his feelings to the full. The sound is real, not felted. A pure acoustic Yamaha C7 Grand Piano recorded at Digitube Studio Mix & Mastering by Carlo Cantini in Mantua (Italy), nothing else. There are no tricks. What was your songwriting process like for "Days of Wine and Roses?" Would you say it was rather cathartic, considering your performance is so passionate and eager? Yes, I mean in the sense of purification and redemption and also emotional maturity. I love this song, so I always played it. I try to keep the melody above. I try to respect what the composer said. So I made some choices in harmony and matched the melody; I try to use some music thrills of that historical period. I was born in 1983, but I really like the music of the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, so it was quite natural. So step by step, I put the pieces together. What's next for you? A lot of things! I’m working on other instrumental songs with some Italian artists. I’m also working on another EP like my latest release with some jazz and some pop tunes, so there are a lot of things that I would like to do, and I think that at the end of summer, I will release almost one of these and not so far the other.
