  • "Bleed" Out Your Woes With JeremY Caesar's Sizzling New Single

From Montgomery to Birmingham, Alabama, songwriter, hip-hop recording artist, and rapper JeremY Caesar hits us over the head with his fierce new single, "Bleed." JeremY Caesar is gifted in many fields. Although he played football throughout high school, music was his preferred outlet. He's known for bending genres and creating his sound that incorporates hip-hop, punk rock, and pop. His bold and fiery tunes serve as a form of therapy for him and his listeners, and his latest release is a prime example. For those moments where you want to say f*ck it, feeling like the world is sitting on your shoulders, JeremY Caesar invites you to "Bleed" it out and live unapologetically. His recent release is a scorching hot tune that smokes our speakers with his rhythmic bars and heated vocal delivery, emphasizing those moments where you feel like you're spiraling out of control. Expanding on the new single, "Bleed," the track kicks off with heavy, dark keyboard melodies that are later accompanied by crispy hi-hats and snares, jumping into the verse with power and might. JeremY Caesar's vocal appearance topples our speakers over as he screams and roars his bars that emphasize never trusting a soul and trying to ward off the shadows that linger. Moving through the song, JeremY Caesar's confidence and rhythmic bars keep our heads bopping while the blazing production naturally activates the good ol' stank face. There's no denying that his performance stylings are attention-commanding, and this new single is a solid example of what to expect from JeremY Caesar as he continues making the Alabama music scene his own. Jump into the flames of JeremY Caesar's exhilarating new single, "Bleed," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, JeremY Caesar. Our necks hurt from banging our heads to your fiery new single, "Bleed." What inspired this bold, heavy, and cathartic track? Originally around the time I was writing the song, I was experimenting with different sounds and genres, so I wanted to get back to my original sound. Plus, I felt like I needed to vent about what I was going through at the time. What was it like writing such assertive yet personal bars for "Bleed"? Was there a core message you wanted listeners to take away from your heated bars? Yes, there is. I feel like a lot of people talk down on drug users, and I wanted to provide more of a perspective of what goes on in the user’s mind at times. My little brother passed away from an overdose, and it hurt me a lot. This song is to help people hopefully not have to go through that or understand why it happened. What vibe or feel did you want the production to give off in "Bleed"? Did you work alongside any producers to help create and finalize your vision? The vibe I wanted it to give was that of a chaotic headspace where nothing makes sense, and all you can do is feel. Streety Murphy out of Atlanta created the melody for the song, and RXTZ Beats from Lithuania programmed the drums and the hard-hitting Bassline. I think they captured the feeling that the lyrics bring perfectly. And on the engineering side, the record was mixed and mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Mack Woodward. He really brought a lot out on my vocals and some of the drums. I’ve had a great time executive producing this record with them. What was your favorite part about creating the anthemic and powerful new tune, "Bleed"? My favorite part of putting this all together was training my Heavy Metal/Deathcore vocals to bring out a different feel that not a lot of rap songs bring. Just having fun with seeing how far I can stretch my vocals, and I’m looking forward to being versatile with them in the future. What's next for you? Next for me is actually coming to LA, where you guys are to shoot a music video for a song my team and I did that was picked up for a movie soundtrack. Then after that finished packaging up my second single and the rollout plan for it. Then getting my EP finished. instagram.com/jeremy__caesar

  • Blast Out Of This World With Handsome Karnivore's "The Kiss from Venus"

From New Jersey to Los Angeles, the gripping rock band Handsome Karnivore gives us "The Kiss from Venus" in a scorching single off their 3rd studio album, Entities from the Fog. Formed in 2012, Handsome Karnivore initially began as a 3-piece unit, but after it came down to the "disaster dudes" Franco and Ray, they set out to reform the band and work off of its vast success. Handsome Karnivore recently released their third album, Entities from the Fog, with a blazing 5-piece lineup and a successful release show at The Mint. Their latest album marks a new start for the band as they shift into a more direct songwriting format alongside standard rock setups, piano, organ, and keys. They never fail to swoon us with surreal lyrical themes that blend seamlessly into our realities, especially in their killer hit, "The Kiss from Venus." This mystical and dynamic song kicks off with scorching hot guitar riffs and heavy drum breaks alongside squealing sci-fi synths that shift into a mysterious, downtempo first verse. The vocalist's raw and airy vocals haunt our speakers with intimate lyricism, taking us over to the blistering yet ethereal hook that prepares us for "The Kiss from Venus." Handsome Karnivore then blasts us into a thrilling and lively instrumental with our heads banging with every beat. The band's transitions are seamless, and their dynamic energy truly keeps us locked in with every move. The song's outro is a whole other aspect featuring wailing guitars, choir background vocals haunting the way out, and an overall bang-up instrumental that's like a whiff of smelling salts. If the album Entities From The Fog is anything like "The Kiss from Venus," we know we're in for a treat. Find this thriller of a single and the entire album on all digital streaming platforms. We're so pleased to have you with us, we love your work on your latest project and especially "The Kiss from Venus." What inspired this electrifying record, and could you explain a bit more to us about the journey creating it? We are so pleased that you love our new record "Entities From The Fog"! Yes, "The Kiss from Venus" is a great song; we will dive into it in this interview! Hopefully, I can shed some light on your questions. The album was recorded through the entire covid 19 pandemic, which made this a unique process of recording in a way we have never experienced. Due to covid, we had to record in various locations all across Los Angeles in various forms. We recorded in bedrooms, studios, rehearsal spaces, living rooms, etc., making this record the most places we have ever recorded an album. Thankfully, with the technology of today's environment, we can afford to do this rather inexpensively! Outside of music, the album was heavily influenced by nature, the amazing people in our lives, the world's events, along with various occult subjects, especially by Jack Parsons (a rocket scientist that invented the fuel to get the first rockets to the moon) and Aleister Crowley. The Devil's Gate Dam in Pasadena, a place where Jack Parsons apparently opened a portal for the UFO incidents in the '40s and '50s, also right next to JPL (which Jack Parsons started, which became NASA), was a place we frequently visited during the making of the record. The songs were written over a period of several years, some reaching back to 2017. The newest being finished in 2022. Half of the songs were written by Ray and the other half by Franco, along with Shane ( of Vigil of War), who wrote the last track, "The Abyss," with Franco. The bulk of instruments played on the record is played by Franco, Ray, and Shane. This is the first record produced by Shane Taylor as a producer and with the band. When the trio needed outside help, there was bassist Zander (from Missouri's Moodring on tracks In The Name of Love, Fight For Yourself, She Sets The World on Fire) and live guitarist Jonathan (from Nebulaen on Invocation of The Entities as well as artwork) to answer the call. This group of guys also make up the new lineup of Handsome Karnivore. This is the first time there wasn't a stable lineup in the band while recording the record. Dug Pinnick from King's X also played bass and produced (Be Careful) on the record as well, which added his process to the mix, which was really cool to be a part of! The amalgamation of all of these influences made this an extremely unique experience. Which, in turn, made this the shortest record we have made to date! The record is under 30min with 10 songs, but it sets you into such an atmosphere that you are ready to go back in once it's over... Hopefully! "The Kiss from Venus" has many poetic aspects. What would you say your favorite line is, and why? Thank you so much for the compliments on "The Kiss From Venus"! That song came a long way and is a band favorite. The poetic aspects come from me trying to write a spooky love song but in a surreal astrological metaphor. The middle section with the spoken word is my favorite line which goes -"With this mass, I cast into this fire, my desire, from trees, blood, bone, and booze, I choose to sacrifice, myself, In the name of you." The reason this is my favorite line is that it is an all-or-nothing type of saying that builds with the atmosphere so well. The song kinda slows down and drops with the music while the lines set the scene. The scene starts to build and hits the climax of the song and sends you into another world when the solo hits! I tried to basically create a vibe of the dark night of the soul, the crossing of the abyss, and it comes across in a visual way. The inspiration for this part of the song comes from Type O Negative's "Haunted" from the October Rust record. The main guitar riff is a nod to HIM from a song called "Katherine Wheel" off the Screamworks record. The main theremin sound from the keyboard is also a homage to HIM from the song "Buried Alive by Love" off the Love Metal album. We always try to tip our hats to our influences because we wouldn't be here without them! We're so intrigued by the production, how did you choose which instruments to involve and what's the production decision-making like in a band like yours? The production and what instruments for each song are extremely crucial to what you hear. We really wanted a fuller sound on all the songs this time around. We have Shane Taylor as the main producer of the record, he is also a very talented musician, especially in the realm of keyboard instruments. Shane added so many magickal touches to the songs through his playing and creative production techniques. We believe that we are transmitters for the current of songs that surround us. We channel the song and harvest them during the writing period. Then when it comes to the productions, it's a free for all. The song will tell you what it needs, you just have to listen and add those elements that make the difference. All the songs for the first time have keyboards, organs, mellotron, and pianos all the way through the songs or some with a combination of them. In the past, we would just use a keyboard, piano, or synth for a specific part. This new approach has shaped the sound of the record to a more dynamic outcome. Also, there are some constant elements that we are known for from previous records like spoken-word vocals, samples from movies, guitar solos, intros, and having outside musicians on tracks. We wanted to keep those elements while showcasing something new. The track "Be Careful" is produced by a friend of the band, bassist, and vocalist of King's X Dug Pinnick, whom also played bass on the track. Dug expressed to me that the track reminded him of Derek and the Dominos "Layla." To my ears, he invoked that late 60s early 70s feel, so we went for that type of arrangement. At the end of "Be Careful," there is a good example of studio magick; the instruments fade to a point where you just hear an acoustic 12-string guitar and Rays vocals. It's very Led Zeppelin! Studio magick is also a great part of the production process. Sometimes you don't plan for a certain layer to be in there, or you get inspired on the spot to put something down you haven't done before. Recognizing these moments creates studio magick and ends up in the record in a way you can't recall. When you listen back, it's almost a mystery to how it got there, but you're glad it made it onto the song. All this and more is a good example of how we chose and adapted to the production of this record. You have a lot of creative brains thinking outside of the box, so the scope is broad when it comes to adding instruments. For example, "Snow In Monrovia" needed sleigh bells because we heard it on "God Only Knows" off the Pet Sounds record from The Beach Boys. So, of course, we put it in the song. Ray, having never played sleigh bells before, learned how to do it on the spot while recording. I also knew that song needed organ and piano specifically together. Shane had never played the organ before this recording session and learned on the spot when we started tracking "Be Careful." We just believe in serving the song. It's the only way to write the music. It's about trusting your instinct, going for it, and not giving a fuck. If you listen to a lot of great music, you start getting ideas for your own songs. If we could just be a glimmer of a shimmer on the shoulders of the legends that have inspired us, then mission accomplished. As a rock band, what's been the highlight of your career so far? Explain why and what it meant for your career. We have had serval highlights throughout our ten years as Handsome Karnivore. The first thing that comes to mind is a band coming from New Jersey. After releasing our first record and playing shows as a band, Our next goal was to play the Sunset Strip clubs (Whisky A Go-Go, Viper, Roxy). So when we moved here back in 2014, we started on that dream. We accomplished 2/3 of that dream. (one day, we will play the Roxy) Having our second album release show at The Whisky in 2018 to a sold-out show was amazing! We actually had Dug join us on stage for a cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze," which was also a highlight and ended the night with a bang! Another example has been the longevity and commitment we have put in over the years to continue to play shows and grow as a band in sound and song. To continue to grow as songwriters and a live band in new ways is inspiring for us. It's not easy, but we believe in what we are doing, and it only takes one song, one show to change things around. We have opened many doors while forging our way through, and we have met many incredible people along the way! To be honest, this lineup as a five-piece is a highlight! It's the best we have ever sounded! There are many check marks to go on that highlight list, but we aren't going anywhere! It's all about how you measure success, and we ain't no overnight success. We will achieve what we have set out with this band! What's next for you? Up next is us playing more shows in places we haven't played before, possibly the east coast, and hopefully getting on a festival show. It has always been a dream for us to play at a festival! At the moment, we are in the process of editing a documentary about the recording process and the album release show at The Mint this past Feb. At the same time, we are recording demos for our 4th record ( yes, we write a lot) and preparing for some live shows. The next show coming up is at The Continental Room in Fullerton, Ca. It will be our first Orange county show, and it's on the 7th of July with our good friends Desert of Talking Shadows! Ticket info is on our social media, as well as updates on what we are up to. Thank you for this moment in time, and yes, the sun always shines in Southern California! May the moon be bright for your night! Facebook

  • Experience Odd City And Their Latest Single, “The Upside Down”

Straight from Detroit is front-forward rock band Odd City. With one listen, true rock enthusiasts will hone into the band's flavourful heavy rock-inspired eccentrics. Consisting of Mike Szumlinski (vocals, lead guitar), Mike Kap (bass, vocals), Pavel Guysinsky (rhythm guitar), and Brett Redwood (drums), Odd City brings a riveting performance with every curated single, ensuring their audience has an elaborately juvenile time. The latest single from the band has been titled "The Upside Down" and it's one of those tracks that are unpredictable with its essence. Produced by Chuck Alkazian, "The Upside Down" features a real sharp and brute-like kind of tone. Odd City does everything in their power to showcase their usual hard rock extravaganza, which entails aggressive vocals, striking parallels, growling electronics, and an overall widespread cerebral appeal. "The common theme of the album lyrically seems to be the separation of one’s self from various things in life. It felt like fission. The themes of each song carried at least a little if not a lot of that." - Brett Redwood (drums) Immediately upon pressing play, listeners are thrown into a world of assertive expression. The band does a phenomenal job at crafting powerful imagery in "The Upside Down" through gritty, forceful tones that also stimulate deep introspection. Distorted and deep guitar riffs persistently fill the air, so it wouldn't be wise to leave your guard down in "The Upside Down," as the single has too much fortitude. Rhythmically, Guysinsky ensures that the band's song hits the right kind of spot, commanding a full-body response from willing listeners. A potent sensation makes its way up to our spines as each vigorously compelling lyric leave both Szuminski and Kap's mouths. All in all, the band strategically meshed their efforts together to generate an authentic heavy rock song that we surely got impassioned by. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Odd City. What inspired the name of both your group, Odd City, and the recent single offered by the group, titled "The Upside Down?" Mike: I believe the genesis of the name actually came from not being able to hear well. The name “Odyssey” was thrown out there, which morphed into Odd City. Brett: We went with it because the name didn’t seem to push us into a genre. It felt open-ended. The Upside Down is pretty much ripped from Stranger Things, but it went well with the theme of the lyrics because the story is about the morning after a breakup, and I felt like I flipped in that world for a night. Pavel: We went through a couple of different names and ultimately a short and simple name that people would remember and not forget is pretty much how it came to be. Brett and his lyrics were the inspiration for the title of The Upside Down… as it was something personal he went through that the name concluded the events ever so perfect. Were there any creative struggles that the band encountered while coming up with the theme and overall feeling the song would project? Brett: We rolled with it on that one. Since we write the instrumentals first the lyrics just have to fit in. Pavel: This song just came out and revealed itself, especially the main riff you hear in the beginning. Mike: Since I came in late to the song, I had to write accompanying parts to things that technically already existed. Where do I double? Where do I play nothing? Where do I harmonize? Other than a short lead solo at the end, this song is really about everyone else in the band and I am just adding where it makes sense. What would you guys say was the best element to creating "The Upside Down" together? Brett: Pulling off the chopped-up ending is like robbing a bank. Pavel: We kept it interesting in the end. We wanted to throw off the listener, so they listened to it again. Mike: For me, it is the bridge and strange harmonies we came up with there. Are there any aspects to "The Upside Down" that the band was hoping weren't missed by listeners? Brett: No worries about what’s missed. Just enjoy. We do the details, so there is something to catch on the 5th or 6th listen. Pavel: Nothing missed. Just enjoy and listen! Mike: If you listen closely, you get to hear Brett sing “I’ll burn for you” at the very end of the song. He was trying to teach Kap and me what he thought the song needed there and he hopped on the mic. We got back into the control room and it sounded perfect in the place as it was, so that’s his one vocal part on the album. What's next for you? Brett: We have the next album in the works! Pavel: We are back to writing a lot of new awesome music that we are going to be super excited to share soon and we are booking shows as well. Instagram Facebook

  • Step Into Your Power With “You Do You” From Ivy-Lee

Electronic Pop artist Ivy-Lee is unapologetically herself at all times, and her new song “You Do You” reflects just that. From Adelaide, singer-songwriter Ivy-Lee was fascinated by music from a young age, writing her first song at only eight years old. After becoming part of a band for a while, Ivy-Lee eventually became re-inspired to write her own music and jump-start a solo career. “You Do You” is the second release for Ivy-Lee, and just as powerful as her first back in March 2022, “If I Fall” “You Do You” is a lively and jubilant song meant to inspire anyone who listens to ignore the haters and do what makes them happy. “You Do You” starts off with a compelling trumpet melody that quickly segues into the first verse. You are introduced to Ivy-Lee’s spirited vocals, which you can’t help but fall in love with. She wastes no time, giving listeners a personal pep talk through her lyrics and uplifting them with a fun and light melody. Ivy Lee shows off incredible range and vocal ability in the most satisfying way during octave jumps in the chorus. Each pre-chorus starts with a step back from the fabulous beat with softer vocals and production, where the listener can appreciate Ivy Lee’s lyrics and tone. With lines like “mirrors only tell one side of the story,” Ivy-Lee captures the heart of all who listen. From beginning to end, “You Do You” is catchy and thrilling, a must-hear for all pop lovers. Whether you’re feeling down or need a personal dance party, Ivy-Lee has your back with “You Do You” available now. Tell us about the process of producing your new song, "You Do You." Did you have a vision in mind for the production of the song? You Do You came to me very randomly. I was driving to my parent's house and just began improving and singing random lines. I had also been listening to a song by another artist who did an octave change, and I loved how impactful it was in her song. Once I had the little hook, I built the verses around it and came up with lyrics that were simple but hoped would be empowering. RE production, I was vibing with a 70s sound after listening to ABBA - lots of strings, bass, and guitar inspired my sound. But, I also wanted it to be modern and pop sounding, to get people up and dancing! "You Do You" has an incredible message, especially for young listeners. Did you feel like this was a song you've needed in the past? Have you dealt with insecurities about your music as a new artist? Aww thank you, I really appreciate that and hope to have a good influence on my younger listeners. I wrote this song with my past in mind, growing up in a heavily image-based society. While I think we have moved into a much more progressive society, and I see many issues being raised about embracing individualism - I still think there's not enough being done. There's a massive amount of people who still have historical ways of thinking. I think since I only started releasing music in my late 20s at a point where I'm quite confident with good personal boundaries, I haven't had to deal with the pressures of the industry as a young female artist. I feel like the song captures how I truly want to be and how I see myself as a friend. I tend to say, "who cares, just do it" a lot, but I think I still find myself trying to fit into molds created by society. It's a long road, but hopefully, this is a good start! How would you say "You Do You" compares to music you typically listen to? Which artists currently inspire you the most? Ooooh, this is a tricky one to answer. My music interests are very broad. I mean, from pop to indie, to musical theatre, to heavy pop-punk - it's all very diverse. I would say, though, that I am influenced by artists Raye and Dua Lipa, who particularly influenced You Do You. I also wanted to bring back some nostalgia and appeal to an audience who thrived in the 70s, so hopefully, I've achieved that. I think you'll find that the singles I release this year will all have quite different sounds, though they are all in the pop scene and use similar instruments. Where do you see yourself musically in the near future? I hope to play a few live shows, release some more singles and record some music with my band....this is still a work in progress, but the band is working on some originals and can't wait to release an EP soon. I also think next year, I'll focus on releasing a personal EP that refines my sound and story a little more. What's next? There's definitely a single or two still on the radar to release this year...watch this space! Instagram

  • Levi Nice Gifts Us A Time In His Mind With, “Dried Saliva”

Levi Nice, a multi-instrumentalist and producer from London, brings us sounds from his alternative/folk genre roots. Levi had to adapt and experiment with different production methods that didn't require relying on other people, and that's when he brought to life her very own unique sound. He mixes lo-fi bedroom folk with unique electric sounds. Not too long after her full-length album was released, Levi Nice got signed to Counter-Clockwise records! As we enter into "Dried Saliva" the instrumental greets us like the intro of the most epic movie you're about to watch. We then hear Levi and his poetic words of motivation, self-doubt, and love. Levi talks about someone (like a significant other) in lyrics like " Oh purest heart, one amongst a mass of violated gristle" and speaks about how every once in a while, he feels 'not worthy.' Levi's voice flows in and out with the beat and doesn't hesitate to impress us. We continue, and as we listen to "Dried Saliva," Levi says things like "Is this the place?" and "Is this the place that I belong?" where we can tell that he feels lost and craves the words to make him feel whole again. He is a magnificent poet and writer who truly doesn't care about being different and, against all the odds, continues to stay true to himself. As we come to an end, "Dried Saliva" closes off with some unique sounds paired with melodies to always remember. Levi Nice continues to wow us with his fruitful lyrics and never-ending creative fuel, it's amazing to see how "Dried Saliva" will change things for many people. Welcome to BuzzMusic Levi Nice, and congratulations on your latest release, "Dried Saliva." What was the inspiration behind the making and process of the song? For "Dried Saliva," I wanted to bring together loads of different styles and genres that have influenced me over the years. The first part of the track is heavily influenced by Bernard Herman’s Taxi Driver score. That cinematic larger-than-life orchestration has always really fascinated me, and I wanted that to be heard in my own production. The UK dance music scene also played a large part in influencing the track. Living in Leeds means I’m constantly surrounded by some of the best underground electronic music, and it's definitely played a large part in how I’ve developed my sound and my approach to production. The drums, in particular, are inspired heavily by UK dance music. What’s the main message in "Dried Saliva?" I’ve always tried to make music that’s open to interpretation. So as pretentious as it sounds, it’s up to you. What has been the most challenging thing you have overcome in your musical career? The most challenging thing would probably be having to learn how to do everything myself so that I didn’t have to rely on the interest of other people to make the music I wanted to make. What’s next for you? I have a few more singles coming out soon and a full album release later on in the year. My next single is called “Cross Country Locomotives,” which will be coming out on June 21st. Instagram

  • Trey Duncan Gives Us A Glimpse Of His “Ten Track Heart”

Trey Duncan has flirted with just about everything music has to offer. Hailing from a very musical family, songwriting and performing have been ingrained in him from a young age. His father and mother ignited a love for the energy and power of artists like Def Leppard, AC/DC, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Tim McGraw married with a passion for honest and elegant songwriting from the likes of Billy Joel, Lionel Richie, Clint Black, and Dolly Parton. This homeschool music education led him to strive for authenticity and soul in whatever music he creates. Trey’s first single on all platforms comes through with a force and it's titled "Ten Track Heart". The genre "country-rock n' soul" is definitely a niche of Trey, taking us back to the 'jukebox times' decades back, and giving us a glimpse of his musical upbringing. The exhilarating funky, tempo and catchiness to it have you constantly vibing out singing along to the addictive lyrics like "too much ambition, too little time". He talks about how his heart and mind aren't always on the same page but he fights through those feelings regardless. Trey mentions how he works really hard on his craft in lyrics like "work work work till I have nothing left" and "I'll sleep when I'm dead". He takes country music to a different level with his unique take on it! As we continue down his "Ten Track Heart", he lets us meet with the most passionate instrumental solo, it oozes greatness right away and keeps us at the end of our seats. The blend between this concept and Trey's vocals brings such a bold mood that has us up and dancing right away. "Ten Track Heart" stands out with its electrifying energy, with the passionate vocals of Trey Duncan, he tops it all off with an epic guitar-solo and production overall. Welcome to BuzzMusic Trey. We are ecstatic to have you join us today, tell us, what motivated you to create a record like this and how did you choose the instrumental that comes along with it? I’ve been playing “Ten Track Heart” at live shows for years, and it’s always been a fun song that the crowd can get into. When I set out to do my first solo release it seemed like an obvious choice! I’m thrilled because that same energy and sense of excitement made its way into the track. It’s sort of 90s-inspired bluesy country, so I just wanted the musicians to get in there and let loose! What's the message you're trying to deliver in "Ten Track Heart?" “Ten Track Heart” is about having many different passions and being pulled in a million directions. You don’t know if you can do it all but you’re dang sure gonna try! Coming from a musical family, what were some things you learned from them that you still use in your career or everyday life? Oh gosh, every time I play music I’m thinking about something I learned from my mother and father. My dad taught me how to play guitar and my mother taught me how to sing, but it’s deeper than that even. My dad was a strong advocate for the “feel” of the music and how two notes phrased the right way can say more than twenty shoved in the same span of time. My mother, on the other hand, is an amazing performer and the most charismatic person you’ve ever met. She just exudes confidence and has never met a stranger in her life! I try to tap into that energy when I’m on stage and connecting with the audience. Your authenticity is compelling. What keeps you in your best creative state and how do you manage to balance it all? Well “Ten Track Heart” questions if I balance it at all, but I try! I can be a stubborn person when it comes to my work, so part of it is just me banging my head against the wall until something feels good. But it’s also about creating that space and honoring that time you’ve set aside to work. I also always have my ears open for phrases and ideas that I can stash away and draw from when I’m stuck- tuck some snapshots of real-life in your pocket until you need it, you know? What's next for you? Ten Track is the first of five singles I’ve got ready to go. So I’ll be releasing my next single in a couple of weeks, and it’s a very meaningful song. I’m anxious to see the response because it means so much to me and it’s an example of something beautiful coming from a place of brokenness. Aside from the singles I’ll be playing shows in SC and branching out regionally. My graphic designer also just sent me the first mock-up of some new merch and I’m obsessed. It’s so quirky and I love it! Instagram Facebook

From delicate and refined vocals to sensitive lyrics to killer melodies, “Mind in the Sky” has something for everyone. Available now on all streaming platforms, don’t miss out. We’re so happy to have you at BuzzMusic, DIVNE. Could you tell us about the inspiration for “Mind in the Sky'?" Where did this song-writing journey start for you? Thank you so much for having me! I'm super happy to be here. "Mind in the Sky" was initially called Ben's Song because I wrote it for one of my twitch fans whose username was Bentisto. I hosted a giveaway where I would write a song for the winner, and they'd give me a prompt to work on. They said to write a song about how you imagine things differently in nature when you're a child compared to when you're grown up. I was super compelled by this idea. They also sent a photo of a red sky and said that a child might imagine it as the sky on fire. I think the reason why I loved this idea was that I loved how it reminded me of the things that made me happy as a kid, and it was definitely a treat to re-experience it through songwriting. Writing ‘Mind in the Sky’ was a therapeutic experience. I remember I was reading the prompt while the sun was shining bright in my light green-colored room. The vibe and the atmosphere were perfect. I grabbed my guitar and played around with a bunch of chords until I found a compelling and mysterious-like sound. I sat down, and I started mumbling and singing for 3 minutes straight. I made a song just there. The crazy thing was, this was the first-ever happy song I made. I wrote down lyrics that I thought were fitting, and I finished it all while the sun was coming down. What is one thing you want listeners to take away from “Mind in the Sky”? What message were you hoping to get across? I want listeners to feel calm and comforted when they hear this song. I want them to think about a happy time in their childhood when things felt still. I think growing up, we're just always so busy and grinding that we forget what it feels like to relax and feel still. I hope I can give some sort of healing to my listeners. As a kid, I used music to help cope with my anxiety, so I hope Mind in the Sky can be calming to my listeners. I wanted to tell the message that you're never too old for the things you loved as a kid. I realized that a lot of what made me who I am today were the things that I loved as a kid. I’ve been super into k-pop and anime again lately, and it's always been something that inspired my art. How did you decide on what the tone/atmosphere would sound like for “Mind in the Sky?" Were there any struggles along the way when it came to creating the song? I think finding the right tone and the atmosphere was easy, considering the lyrics talk about the sky a lot. So, when we were making the song, we knew it had to be atmospheric and dreamy. It needed to sound raw and happy but have this sense of longing, almost like you miss something? You're reminiscing about the old times. It was one of those songs where everything was fast, and everything seemed right. Almost like the song was handed to us on a silver platter, and we were just surprised that we created this. I wrote the whole song in one sitting, Adrian made the production one day, and we recorded the vocals the next day. We listened to it, and we felt if we added more, it’d be too much, or it wouldn’t fit. There was even a one-take vocal I did with my eyes closed which we thought was amazing. I opened my eyes to see Adrian with a surprised look on his face, which I didn't expect. That's why I giggled at the end of the song. Is there anything that listeners should prepare to hear from you in the near future? What’s next for you? I have a music video coming on July 1st, which is Factor funded. The music video contains easter eggs to some of my favorite childhood films; the one thing that helped shape who I am today. I also plan on releasing a couple of more singles this year! One is in the style of lo-fi and r&b, so that's definitely going to be chill. It's just the beginning for DIVNE! Instagram Facebook

Welcome to BuzzMusic Sunstroke Rain, and congratulations on your latest release, "Thirty Years Asleep." What made you open your album 'Spark' with this particular track? The song "Thirty Years Asleep" sums up the idea for this project. For a long time, I had the idea that I would concentrate on my own music, and I think I was kind of waiting for someone to tell me… "Come on, it's time to start"! As that didn't happen, the years went by. But, as you can hear, I finally woke up and did it. The refrain says that it's never too late to do "your thing", the earth is there waiting for you, to let you make your way through life. How did the production for "Thirty Years Asleep" come alive? Did you have an idea of what you wanted the track to sound like before recording? It had a vision and my guidelines. Then by walking in a nearby park, I got some important ideas. And later on, I used a musical barrel full of darlings. How has your work with other musicians shaped you as an artist? It has taught me the importance of finding personal expression. So much music is being produced and released every day, and if you want people to listen to what you're doing, you have to be personal and genuine, maybe go out on a limb. What is one thing that you think stands out about your music? The production with an array of some self-made sounds and the harmonic progressions. Simplicity and complexity play against each other. What advice would you have for someone looking to make their way into the music industry? Be prepared for a tough world, which demands a lot of work. There is no guarantee that your music will reach people even if you do all in your power to make it happen. So you have to have a playful approach (if your goals won't be fulfilled.) and be serious at the same time. What keeps you motivated? Music is maybe my best friend. It's a phenomenon that gives you desire, energy, reflections, hope, inspiration, and many other things. Sometimes you can dance to it, sometimes get comforted, there are so many good things in music so of course you can get hooked on it forever, like a healthy drug. And that helps because the musical environment is very hard sometimes. It's tough to break through, make yourself heard, etc. What's next for you? To create more music and try to reach out more. Until then, we must look up and enjoy what's around us while we still can. Allow Lotta Wenglén and Anders Thorén to move you with their meaningful and emotional new single, "Blackest Hole On Earth," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Lotta Wenglén. We're very grateful to hear such a moving and emotional single like "Blackest Hole On Earth." What inspired you to write a song about living life and not fearing death? Thanks for having me! I think that a friend's passing triggered me to write the song. I was reacting to people around me that found trouble and difficulties in the smallest things. While everyone was unsatisfied with their lives, me included, one of us was dying. For real, in cancer. She had two kids and a wife and was in so much pain before letting go. I thought that we shouldn't seek the darkness around us since it's here anyway, a breath away. What made you want to work alongside Anders Thorén for "Blackest Hole On Earth?" What does he bring to the table that you wanted to feature? I had listened to Anders' band Wildie for a long time, and when this song came to me, I immediately thought of him and his wonderful voice. I'm glad he wanted to join me in this duet on vocals, piano, and accordion. What was your songwriting process like for "Blackest Hole On Earth"? Was it rather emotional, or did your words flow with ease? I must admit that I cried at times while writing this song. Not because I was moved by my own words, but rather because my friend was in every line. I revisited the pain of losing someone and thought about her and her loved ones. What was the core message you wanted listeners to pick up on when hearing "Blackest Hole On Earth?" What did you want them to think or realize? Life is short, and you should try to look up and see the good things around you. What's next for you? To play some live shows and finish recording my EP. I also have a duo with Måns Wieslander called Blind Lake, and I'm releasing our new single "Smoke Rose Up" at my own label on July 1, followed by an EP later this year. I will release music with my instrumental project WATERBODY at the end of this summer. These releases were put on hold during the pandemic, but now it's all happening! Artist Website
