  • Pittsburg Duo Surefire Releases New Pop-Rock Single “Boys. Cry. Love.”

SUREFIRE is a family duo from Pittsburg, PA; composed of brother-in-law/sister-in-law duo, Natalie and Jason. The pair seamlessly combine vastly different personal styles into infectious and magnetic tracks. Natalie’s vocals are powerful and have no trouble keeping pace with Jason’s danceable guitar strumming, and the combination is stunning. The duo describes themselves as being vastly different from one another, but the product of their talents is music that fits the two of them perfectly. In 2019, SUREFIRE released an EP titled 'Who We Are,' a collection of songs that bear the heart and soul of the duo. In 2020, SUREFIRE released a single entitled, “Boys. Cry. Love.”, a pop-rock banger that brings Paramore and other nostalgic early 2000s indie to mind. Comparisons aside, SUREFIRE brings their own spin on things to the musical table, which can't be missed. In “Boys. Cry. Love.”, Natalie drags an unintentional lover into the sunlight, and with a frustrated Shania Twain kick at that- ‘I’ve heard it all before, you’re not as clever as you think you are.” With catchy chords and a scorned woman at the helm, it's the kind of single you may just want to roll down the windows and drive with. • Greg P. The MC Continues to Fill in the Gaps Within Hip-Hop

Greg P. The MC is a Hip-Hop artist from Person that puts the final piece that's been missing in Hip-Hop. His style has an elegant flow, thoughtful instrumentation and thoughtfully structured lyrics that speak poetry. Greg P. The MC's music paints a vivid picture that reflects on who he is as a person; he speaks from the heart and always keeps it real with every lyric that he says. Greg P. The MC's newest single "Coast 2 Coast" features Jay Illict and Zay Too Lit, who also produced the track."Coast 2 Coast" is an absolute banger of a tune, to say the least. "Coast 2 Coast" features hard-hitting drums, soothing calm synths, fresh melodic vocals, and a tight yet airy rap. Greg P. The MC's promise of speaking from the heart and keeping it real is kept with his vocal delivery. The instrumentation maintains a place where it gives a space for his lyrics to breathe and shine while also being heavy hitting. "Coast 2 Coast" has both an ambient atmosphere and an aggressive backbone that encompasses the story that Greg is paining; this tune is one that you'll be blasting in your car on your late-night drives home. Listen to "Coast 2 Coast" here. Hey there Greg! Welcome to BuzzMusic! We're digging your latest single "Coast 2 Coast. What inspired songwriting and production? What did the whole process look like? I was taking singing lessons from Jay Illicit and I had a session with Zay Too Lit so I asked Jay to come along. As soon as Zay played a sound, Jay was a genius and told Zay what he should add to the beat. After Jay layed a hook and I wrote a verse to capture the triumph, will of fire feel to the song. Jay low key took my session but Im glad because we came out with something beautiful. With your style bringing something fresh to the table, at what point did you realize that Hip-Hop was missing something? How would you describe it?  I feel like as I gotten older, I cared less about making the stereotypical lyrical miracle rap, and cared more about sharing my story with the people from the good, the bad, the deep thoughts I don't share often, and overall, what's sitting on my heart. And I feel like Hip Hop has been missing that from this new era. When you're writing fresh new lyrics, do you have a favorite spot that you like to write at? Any particular mindset you try to get in? Honestly when I'm writing I like to be somewhere comfortable, in front of my notebook (rare that I freestyle) and I'm usually in the mindset that; I want to have a well structured verse that will perfectly capture every aspect of the song direction.\ After finishing so many tunes, do you have any plans to play any shows in 2020? Do you have any other goals as an artist or even for Hip-Hop that you'd like to achieve? Yes!!! I intend to go to every event and show to push the song because I truly believe this song is ''THE ONE'' and that's my main goal; Capturing new listeners to tell my story so they can feel they have someone to relate to. What are your plans in the next few months Greg? My plan is to just make music, create my Debut Album that I want to be the best it could be, and just save my money to take online courses. instagram.com/gregpthemc #BuzzMusic

  • King Gabriel Unveils His Feelings in New Song “Emotions”

King Gabriel’s release of “Emotions” was nothing more than a mesmerizing piece of work that has upheld King Gabriel at a level of respect as an artist that could potentially skyrocket his success. “Don’t play with my emotions” was the opening line to “Emotions”. This stood out to us due to how it immediately curated this relatable vibe for the listener. Every great song has quotable lyrics, and “Emotions” was consistent at delivering great memorable lines. It wasn’t just the dynamic lyrics that made a lasting impression on us. King Gabriel managed to project a strong delivery with a trendy autotune sound that was nicely executed. This element added an outgoing and exciting charisma to the song that kept the listener attentive and focused on “Emotions”. King Gabriel knows how to correctly arrange a song and it’s noticeable in the perfect balance of sad with happiness in “Emotions”. Although “Emotions” could promote a more dejected concept, the way King Gabriel projects his lyrics is what entices you. “Emotions” was an all-around great energy song with dynamic lyrics that will become glued to your memory with its infectious rhymes. Listen to “Emotions” by King Gabriel here. Welcome to BuzzMusic King Gabriel! How was it growing up in Kansas City? How would you describe the music scene there and how do you stick to your roots in your music? Growing up in Kansas City, Kansas is definitely a unique place to experience, lots of memories made whether it was happy or painful. It helped me to see the world in a different light. Throughout most of my childhood, I moved around to many places from Arkansas to Arizona but my hometown is KCK. The music scence there is small but the people from there has lots of talent and skill. What helps me keep to my roots is always keeping my family and the things I've experienced in mind, I think about the people who helped me when I was down or the ones who couldn't believe they didn't have any other options. It's truly humbling when I look back on the things I've went through. We noticed some powerful lyrics in your song “Emotions”. What was the concept behind this single? Can you describe to us what initially inspired you to make this song? Emotions is addressing the good and bad thoughts people would have when experiencing or expressing love. The inspiration behind this single is the goals people want when finding love but also the toxic side that we might have after things dont go the right way. What would you consider to be the most challenging aspect of creating “Emotions” and how did it help you grow you as an artist? When I started writing,  I had a very happy vibe for the track but then I got frustrated after the first draft because of a recent potential relationship that failed. As an artist, I've always liked to be very forward with my writing. Each song I've produced helps me when I feel a certain way or needed to be reminded me how far I've came. When your song "Too Late" grew popular in Kansas City, how did that make you feel as an artist to get your music heard by people from your hometown? It was an experience not many people could enjoy. Hearing my voice on the radio gave me hope that I could be heard and also inspire the ones around me that you can do the things you've always wanted through hard work. What can fans anticipate next from you? I'm currently working on visuals and expanding my sound. During 2020, I'm planning to do more collaborations for this ongoing project #NoSleepSeason. Stay tuned for more! instagram.com/KingGabriel913 #BuzzMusic

  • “Breaking Distance” Is a Positive and Productive New Single From Elamar

Elamar Edwards, born August 1st, 1990, is an artist and songwriter. He was born in a small village in Israel (Dimona, Israel) in which he was one of 25 other children in his family. With the rest of his family, Elamar attended The Brotherhood School in Dimona. Elamar first learned the arts at this school within studies of visual arts and music. However, he took more to music and greatly enhanced his music skill with the opportunity to sing and play music every day. Elamar learned many different music styles and skills, which lead him to create a genre he doesn’t even know how to describe. His latest single “Breaking Distance” does give me more of a pop vibe, yet it has a lot of creative flairs present by Elamar. “Breaking Distance” begins with smooth, gentle guitar chords that strum pleasing chords. It is very inviting to the listener, providing the feeling that anyone can pick up “Breaking Distance” and listen to it. Further on in the track, we are greeted with a nice acoustic drum set and a gentle bassline that really help solidify “Breaking Distance”. As the song moves throughout its structure, there are a lot of nice musical breaks and quieter parts that let the listeners' ears have a chance to regain strength and let Elamar’s vocals shine. Speaking of vocals, in “Breaking Distance”, Elamar’s voice really suits the type of instrumental in the background. It is soft, yet present, and it is unique in the fact that his tone is very inviting, just like the song. Furthermore, Elamar’s lyrics aren’t just about insignificant topics either. He often speaks of love and wanting to spread his love throughout his music. In “Breaking Distance”, we think Elamar did a really good job of creating a song that can be enjoyed by anyone, without losing any creativity. Listen to "Breaking Distance" here. Hi Elamar! Welcome to BuzzMusic. Our team is happy to be representing you and your track “Breaking Distance”. You mentioned that you don’t think you really fit under one genre. Is that because you believe your music doesn’t sound like recognizable genres, or because you like to write in many different genres and to put on a label on you wouldn’t make sense? I say this because of my understanding of music and knowing the teachings of the power of words and the way they are used. So I call my music songs of deliverance. A positive and productive song. Yes, it may be some songs that can be recognized by deferent genres but it’s the content of the songs that makes it deferent. Being born into such a big family is truly a blessing. What is one crazy story you can remember in your family memories? Also, do you have any talented musicians (other than yourself) in the family you like to play music with? Haha, yes I have a very big family we have had a wonderful free childhood With many memories that’s how it is growing up in the community (the Hebrew Israelites in Dimona Israel). I think the one memory that stands out the most is the crazy somehow creative games we would play. Always walking on the edge of danger! We use to go out to the mountains to look for scorpions/ants and play with them. In your bio, you also mentioned you have a passion for visual arts. Do you still like to draw or create those kinds of pieces of artwork today? Has it given you any more opportunities in life, or in your music career? Yesss I love it, it was major back then. It used to take me to places of relaxation and allow me to express myself in a beautiful way. Once I got more into my music I found that expression with playing the guitar and being able to not just draw them emotions but actually sing them and that simply took over With all of your releases, your main message you like to send out is love. What does the meaning of Love mean to you? How would you say you like to share your love with people in your everyday life? Yes, love is major in my life! major energy. To me, energy is everything this magnitude of energy is huge. So I focus on things That can uplift people. That’s my major goal sharing vibes that are productive and positive. Thank you for talking with us Elamar. What can fans expect to hear next from you? At this stage, I’m experiencing the emotions of the heart and the level of excitement is high so if I’m blessed enough to have understood I’ll be able to share more songs that are born from these beautiful emotions of mine. instagram.com/elamarofficial #BuzzMusic

  • Gráinne Duffy Releases an Addictive Modern Blues Rock Song "Blue Sky"

Gráinne Duffy is a singer-songwriter from Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, Ireland who has an incredibly unique voice. While growing up she sang in her local choir, her family band, and session work for various bands across Italy and France. Her early influences accredit to her mother who allowed the family to get a new record for special events and listen together. Some of her influences are icons Aretha Franklin, The Pretenders, The Pretenders, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and Peter Green who she cites as being her main blues guitar influence. Gráinne Duffy's latest single "Blue Sky" is an incredibly catchy rocking modern Blues Rock track that features her sweet unique almost raspy voice, a honking solid guitar riff, and polished sounding drums. The song opens up with its iconic guitar riff, then when the verse begins it flips to a patient chugging backbone that leaves space for Gráinne's memorable melodies and vocal performance. The highlight of the song is instantly when the chorus hits, from the choral singalong-like melody and lyrics to the rocking band in the back, "Blue Sky" is a track that will stay singing in our heads for a long time. Listen to "Blue Sky" here. Hey there Gráinne! Welcome to Buzz Music! We're absolutely loving your latest single "Blue Sky", could you talk to us a bit how the song came to be - the songwriting and production of it? Cool, I’m delighted you're enjoying it. This was a song that started while I was in my home studio. I was thinking of how I would love to have something fun and upbeat to sing about and then this lyric and chord progression just came under my fingers which was really nice. Production-wise we wanted it to be punchy and maybe have a little bit of Joe Walsh style R’n’R! Your vocal performance is truly something special, did the intricacies of your vocal performance (eg your voice squeaks) come naturally during the performance or did you try to intentionally sing the perfect intricacy? No, the squeaks are all-natural! This was just a straight-up go for it vocal take. It's fantastic to see that you're playing shows in both North America and Europe, is there anything specific to you about performing live that makes you want to keep performing? Yes, Live is where my heart is. I love the energy of playing live. Every performance gives you something new and fresh energy in your music which I love. It brings me to life every time. We can't wait to see what else you have in store for us to hear! Are you working on anything new that you'd be able to share with us? Oh yes - there’s a new album in the pipeline. It’s nearly finished which I am super excited about too. I’ve been working with some really fine musicians Paul Sherry and Dale Davis with producer Troy Miller in London which I have been really enjoying too. I hope you’ll dig it. Do you have any goals for 2020 that you'd like to achieve? Too many! We are playing Glastonbury which is a good start but making as many new fans as possible is my main goal! instagram.com/grainnelduffy facebook.com/GrainneDuffyOfficial #BuzzMusic

  • Aster Delivers With "I.O.T.M.A. (The Retro Princess)" the Rage and Light of Their Storytelling

Aster is a multi-genre metal band from Kansas City and Missouri. Their sound is compared to icons A Day To Remember, Ice Nine Kills, As I lay Dying, and Korn. Aster has opened for many bands that include Fire From The Gods, We Came As Romans, Slaves and HED PE. Their single "Get Out Of My Head" was critically acclaimed and had featured ATG from St. Louis band Discrepancies and then Aster released their punk-pop cover of "Dancing With a Stranger" from Sam Smith. Recently, the band released their newest single "I.O.T.M.A. (The Retro Princess)" which is a fun high energy track that features heavy hard-hitting drums, aggressive vocals, airy vocals, and rocking guitar riffs that make you headbang. The key points of this track that make it stand it is the contrasting vocal delivery, it has both airy light qualities before flipping completely and giving an aggressive verse; this contrast keeps the listening experience interesting. "I.O.T.M.A. (The Retro Princess)" paints an interesting picture with its thoughtful well-placed instrumentation and the almost raw feeling vocals; it reminds you of something you have heard before but also brings something new. We can't wait to hear what else Aster has in store for us. Listen to "I.O.T.M.A. (The Retro Princess)" by Aster here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Aster! We're loving the latest single "I.O.T.M.A. (The Retro Princess)", its got both familiar and unique feel to it; how did the band capture that sound? Was there a specific thought process in mind? Justin: when it came to vocals on the sound of the song I just had 2009 post-hardcore running through my head and I wanted to kind of bring that back. To me, that was when that genre of music was at its peak. When I wrote lyrics around that time I was hooked on molly real bad so I kinda wanted to capture what I was going through around 2009 and have that solid 09 sound as well Austin: The sound for I.O.T.M.A wasn't really planned on my end honestly. I was just up at 3 am one Saturday and just sat down at my computer, opened my recording stuff and plugged my guitar in just started fiddling around. I only knew I wanted to do something different from the previous two singles we put out beforehand.. Next thing I know boom! Had a single we really enjoyed.. I personally wing a lot of things.. lol.. We know that Aster gets compared to many iconic groups but are any of these inspirations for the music that gets created? Are there any other sources of inspiration for the music? Justin: when it comes to music I have a very wide range of genres that I like. But A Day To Remember and KoRn is where I draw a lot of inspiration for the style I have. Also Chiodos and Periphery I try to copy those two guys as well. Austin: Justin and I are big A Day To Remember fans, so their influence definitely is in there lyrically and musically. Some rappers and some pop stars have found their way into my brain when writing guitar parts. No shame! Love me some Katy Perry! Primarily for me though, I usually just draw from all my favorite bands from the good ole emo days. With having such an aggressive let light sound, what does the songwriting and production process look like? Is there a foundation that the rest of the song gets built from? Justin:  songwriting Austin does all the instrumentals for the most part unless our producers write other parts. We go through two producers. One is Bret Liber. If we have a song that we feel we've already made solid and don't want to add anything else we go to him. He mixes really solid and doesn't take long to record because we're already prepared and know what we want. The other guy is Nick Thornton. We use him when we have a great song in mind but want to make it better. That's what he did with IOTMA to help give it that full effect. He also takes his time making sure everything sounds perfect. Austin: the process is rather frustrating and yet fun as it should be. My wife yells at me because she gets tired of hearing drums being worked on or the metronome late at night haha! For foundations.. I usually just go in knowing I want to do something different as much as possible. That's where the frustration parts comes in. Trying to make each song different the best we can. Expect a diverse album for sure! Now that the single is finally out, are there any future plans for Aster? Are there any goals for 2020? Justin:  2020 is looking well for Aster. We have several songs that we're working on. We have an album in store for either this summer or early fall. The goal is to get more fans and release the album and once it's released we plan on making another album. Austin: The goal is to take our time and build amazing songs for everyone to enjoy. There should be a little of everything in the album we are working on for each person's taste. Goal #1 definitely is hammer the rest of the album! Maybe come the end of summer we can have a music video for you guys too! facebook.com/asterkcmo instagram.com/asterkcmo #BuzzMusic

  • Reminding Us of Our Younger Years, The Parkers Remind Us of Being 15 Again

The Parkers are a sensual and subversive sister duo that create grungy synth-pop anthems. Their aesthetic that is reminiscent of the '70s wasted American youth, classic rock swagger, and the fearless artistry of modern electronica. This vintage yet modern fusion is something that will easily catch your mind. Both sisters are multi-instrumentalists, singers, songwriters, lyricists and are able to build their tracks from the bottom up. For their live shows, the sisters are accompanied by an explosive drummer to further drive the energy in their music. Their latest single with accompanying music video "15 Again" featuring Marcaux is a flashback to your younger days. The music video has a self-shot off of a phone aesthetic that perfectly suits the music and the story it's creating. The motion blur edits of the footage create a very nostalgic feel to the video that takes you back. On the music side, however, there are clear modern elements in place.
