- Music Video Premiere: Stop Being Hung up on That Guy Who Never Calls with “Another One” by ellie d.
Singer, songwriter, and actress from Los Angeles, ellie d. brings us her new music video dor her single “Another One”. ellie d. grew up in a rock and roll influenced household with artists pumping through the speakers such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billy Joel, and Fleetwood Mac. ellie d. draws on her experiences to create fun and relatable indie/ electro-pop originals. We had the pleasure of checking out her new music video for “Another One”. The video portrays an innocent story featuring lead singer and her girls at a bowling alley when she is approached by a cute guy. Sadly, he never calls her back and she is left waiting by the phone for him to call. Wondering why he hasn’t called she vocalizes her frustration in lyrics, “I am just another one, were you talking now for fun, it’s a waste of breath I’m done, go have your fun”. The emotion she portrays is believable and well recognized by anyone who’s been in a similar situation. The storyline continues to build as she realizes that it's not worth waiting for him. She creativity depicts this phase of moving on both lyrically and visually in a scene where she is seen disconnecting the handing phones around her. I love the dramatic finish she adds to seal the deal that’s she done with him by hanging up her red phone for the last time. The music video is appropriate to her target audience, its fun and easily tells us a story by taking us between past and present reactions. All around a perfect visual to her newest original! - Chicago’s Da New Era Damyon Debuts New Album, “Grind”
Da New era Damyon from Chicago has something that’s gonna help him break against barriers. He quickly realized that blending his lyrics to a one of a kind beat that will fit with a modern sound would yield groundbreaking results. With the occasional element of R&B on tracks like "I want you", he creates an atmosphere that follows, sets, and breaks trends. Da New Era Damyon released a 17 track album titled “Grind” that will correlate with everything he represents. The album begins with the passionate track “Been On”. This song was a great opener with a fiery delivery and lyrics that gave you a more in-depth look at the life Da New Era Damyon lived. After “Been On”, “Greatest” transitions in. This record begins with a motivational dialogue about the word “Impossible”, getting you hyped for what’s about to come. “Nothing can stop me now” is the opening lyrics to the verse in “Greatest” and it was perfect for the anticipating built up. Da New Era Damyon is going hard so far and the vibe did a quick turn around with “Nobody”. “Nobody” felt more passionate than the other two singles, the lyrics hit you due to how thought-provoking and vulnerable they were. The next song “On Me” was a hype record and one of my personal favorites. The hook was catchy and the cadence was switched up, showcasing Da New Era Damyon’s versatility. Although the cadence in “On Me” was impressive, I was speechless by the flow in “Death 2 Da Critics”. This flow went rapidly insane, keeping us hype and ready for what’s next. What I really liked about this album was how Da New Era Damyon switched the vibe up with “I Need Luv”. The theme in this song discusses the sentimental feelings he feels towards a girl. The lyrics were relatable, and many people would be able to vibe to this single. The poetic lyrics and romantic aesthetic really showcased a different side to Da New Era Damyon. Da New Era Damyon keeps the surprises coming with the really whimsical and witty track “Take Me Home”. A good surprising element to this song would have to be the rock n roll production in the beat mixed with a mainstream appeal to the lyrics. The song was chronologically placed in the perfect spot of the album, keeping our attention and excitement still in-tact. “Release Therapy” and “Hot Now” kept a consistent fire going on but it was “K.I.D (Kick In Doors)” that really stood out. Instead of the basic hip-hop beat, The production of this instrumental shows a lot of punk rock elements due to the electrifying guitar chords and transitional drum rhythm. The hook in this song was memorable and stuck to us like glue. In fact, it’s on our head right now as we type this! “Really Want It” comes in with a beautiful piano key and an authentic and raw lyrical arrangement that’s showing this soft side to Da New Era Damyon that he showcased to his fans earlier. What I noticed about this song was the sample on the hook. I actually fell absolutely in love with it due to the classic and familiar sound of a melody that resonates well with not only me and many many others. The next two songs were the highly polar opposite from one another. “You Aint On My Level” showed us that hard-hitting and intense rap delivery while he went back to the soft version of himself with “I Want You”. I noticed a trend before each song of his starts and that’s how he chants the words “Learning, Knowledge, and Grind” before each song. “WMG” and “Life 4 Me” smacks you across the face with emotionally convicted lyrics and passionately delivered resonance. Da New Era Damyon closes the album off so classic with “City Of Nightmares”. With an opening so good as “Been On”, I was expecting nothing less than great with the closing record and he delivered. What’s really cool about this single was how it painted a vivid setting for me as a listener. I pictured myself in the city, the weather, and the feelings of hopelessness. What’s even more dope about this record was aesthetically the beat. This song gave me classic, raw hip-hop vibes with a legendary emcee approach. Da New Era Damyon released an album filled with transitional surprises, exciting punchlines, and passionate deliveries. You can listen to the album “Grind” here! Welcome to BuzzMusic Da New Era Damyon! Tell us how was it growing up in Chicago and in what ways have you been inspired by your environment? Thank you for having me and letting me tell my story... I can’t lie to others growing up Chicago was hell o agree with that but it also was incredible I say this because though there was hellish time I’ve learned a lot and plus I had love from and respect from everybody (Family, teachers, streets, friends, etc) because of the way I carried myself and that alone inspired me I’ve seen and been through “The Struggle” everyday was something new and horrible going on thru the hood but the love was still there somehow some magical way we picked ourselves up and kept pushing as a child in the middle that became my inspiration through all the shootings, Robberies, Murders, Mistreatments throughout everything we found a way to move on and I became engulfed with helping others whether it be in church on the streets or school I made it my business every day to help somebody, anybody . Your album “Grind” was amazing and the delivery felt extremely passionate. What do yo value most about this project from your artistic point of view? I valued the production of the project the most every song I wrote I was in public view tryna get insight on how I should write and/or deliver whatever message I wanted people to hear .. every beat can from a feeling/moment that captured my soul and I want the world to feel why. We noticed multiple themes in the songs on “Grind” but mind highlighting the main ones that you feel is important for the listeners to obtain? One main theme throughout all the songs is “Grind” to find you passion perfect it and go forward and spread it to the world sometimes life throws us for a loop we forget what we were aiming for every song on the project is to push you forward thru and situation. Which song on “Grind” do you feel was the most emotionally challenging for you to write? You opened up in a lot of these songs and we commend you for that! Breakout was the most emotionally challenging... the way I constructed the beat first I was a sign of relief/peace like listening to gospel track but this track is the last track for the album created I had to make it strong ... it talks about my feelings for the current/past events that have been going on and real talk writing this track brought me to tears multiple times even performing it had me in tears ... one of my strongest songs Mind describing to us your songwriting approach? How do you get in the mood to write the perfect hit? For me personally I look to put a message in everything I do so I find my message first then I put my feelings/ past experience to put me in the vibe of the track and I let my heart finish it up in every song /verse/hook I ever do I put my all into it . What’s next for you in 2020 Da New Era Damyon? All I can say this album pushed them in ways I never thought it could all in good ways ..”GRIND” opened doors and I plan on stepping in each one with better content Basically Get Ready I’m Not Done (G.R.I.N.D.) instagram.com/DaRealdamyon #BuzzMusic
- Sit Back and Relax with Nondoh in His Calming Track "Let It Happen"
Nondoh is an incredibly experienced artist hailing close to home in San Diego, California. He's a multi-faceted musician, who has trained extensively to craft the very sounding he's able to give to us today. Working with various artists from such a young and impressionable age, Nondoh has successfully been able to take wisdom and the best parts of each individual he's collaborated with and used it to build his character (which is ultimately portrayed to listeners throughout his music). Nondoh is currently working hard to create experiences for his listeners and to tell stories through his music creations. We're all here for the stories Nondoh has to offer us, and we're absolutely thrilled to introduce his latest single "Let It Happen". This particular single has imparted such a relaxation quality over all of us at BuzzMusic, and we feel absolutely compelled to share it with our readers (we're not selfish enough to keep this one all to ourselves)! The introductory melody to Nondoh's track "Let It Happen" is smooth and atmospheric. He's able to successfully impart listeners on a visual mental journey with his stylings, and once his vocalism is incorporated into the song, it's a much more gentle and sedative experience. Nondoh is the type of artist that has such a soothing voice, one that can easily glide across your senses. We've come across a few independent artists who have mastered this specific talent and skill, Nondoh undoubtedly being one of them. Nondoh creates an easygoing ambiance for those listening in "Let It Happen", and we appreciate the alleviating climate he's able to execute (and execute quite well, we have to add). You can tell that Nondoh has a compassionate side blended in with his artistry, and we're looking forward to seeing this side come out more with his music to come. Listen to "Let It Happen" here. Hi Nondoh! Thanks for taking the time to talk to us and our readers about your latest release "Let It Happen"! Was this single a particularly easy one to write and record for you? This song took a few months to record I was writing and recording it while I was going through some life changes. And I think the story reflects that! The song is about certain things in life that you can't have, and rather than fighting it you need to be ok with the outcome no matter what, and just Let It Happen! "Let It Happen" had an incredibly breezy and composed element to it. We felt comforted by the very sounding of your voice, along with the peaceful and airy production backed behind it. Would you say this was the main feeling you wanted to impart on your listeners with the song? Yes totally! This song was meant to have a dreamy nostalgic feel to it so I'm glad you guys felt that! Do you feel as if you challenge yourself artistically? Or do you feel like you stay within the soundings and stylings you're personally comfortable with? I definitely like to challenge myself! I listen to all sorts of musical genres so I am always experimenting with different sounds, grooves, and rhythms. You seem to have a poised and affectionate side when we listen to your music. The general feeling you're able to create is very delicate and calming. Do you find that you generally encompass these moods in who you are outside of music, or are these character traits only apart of your artistry? I totally love the vibe that my music gives off, all my songs are about actual events that have happened in my life, so I have a very personal connection to my songs. 5) Are there any future collaborations you're able to share with us and our readers about?! YES! I am going to be releasing another single in mid-January 2020 featuring a good friend of mine Lindsayykaye! Stay tuned it is gonna be EPIC! instagram.com/nondohmusic facebook.com/nondohmusic #BuzzMusic
- Artist on the Rise: ECENAZ Talks About Her Latest Releases & More!
Hi ECENAZ and welcome to BuzzMusic! Being a proud Turkish singer, how do you plan to incorporate your culture into your music production? First of all, thank you for giving me the platform to talk about my story, I appreciate this. Yes, being Turkish brings a lot of culture to my music because I grew up with Turkish music and culture and am heavily influenced by that. I spent a long time figuring out what was unique about me, and I came to the conclusion that it was my roots. Therefore my plan is to use Turkish instruments and sounds in my traditionally created r&b songs. I don't want to take it to a world music direction where people wouldn't think it is r&b anymore, but by the use of Turkish instruments in my songs I hope to show people that r&b and pop are not fixed to only what people traditionally think it is. You have such a talented and soulful vocal range, have you received any formal vocal training? Thank you so much! Yes, actually it is funny because in Turkey we don't have a lot of vocal mentors who are experts in popular music, therefore when I first started I took classical voice lessons and was singing opera. A year later, I found out that it wasn't making me happy and I came across another teacher by a friend's reference. She is a jazz singer but still' she was aware, was actively interested and learning r&b and pop. She helped me prepare for my auditions and record my songs, I have a huge appreciation and respect that she came into my life and helped my voice grow. We love your take on R&B music, do you see yourself fusing other genres into your future works? Yes, definitely. A lot of people wouldn't see this coming but I actually get better at rapping and put some rap verses in my songs. I love how rhythmically diverse rap and spoken word can make a song and I would love to be not dependent on another rapper to do that. What is the message you are trying to portray in "Everything and Anything"? This is a song that I wrote for my first love in high school. You know the drill. But it is actually finding out things about the person that you have loved. I wrote this song right after that perfect image of the person in my mind was gone and I started seeing the flaws of them. It is about seeing that you are better for that person and that they had bad intentions that you weren't aware of when you were in love with them. The line "You made me feel like a princess, but baby I am a queen now." comes from that idea. Thanks for chatting with us and we're excited to hear more from you. What are your next steps? Any planned albums or tours? Thank you so much again! I am going to be releasing a new single in December and hopefully another one in January. In terms of touring, I feel like I need to build more of a fan base and original content to go on a tour. But that is one of my main goals in 2020. So definitely everyone keeps in touch with me via my social media, every announcement is on there! Thanks, BuzzMusic. Listen to ECENAZ's music here. instagram.com/ecenazertunc #BuzzMusic
- 5 Questions with Olijade
Hey Olijade, it's a pleasure to have you with us on BuzzMusic. What has inspired you to become a musician and how did you start it off? Hey! Thank you for the opportunity and thank you for having me! Wow-what inspired me to become a musician, It would have to be 2 reasons. First being the heavy Odd Future wave, back in middle school and high school I would listen to them religiously, and be on the bus rapping with my friends to earl sweatshirt and Tyler, but because I had a voice I would also sing Frank Ocean as well so it all kind of correlates. Second, Childish Gambino's "Because of the Internet' album. That had a MAJOR impact on me and basically solidified "yeah I want this to be my career and I'm going to make it happen'. Both groups gave music that showed that they were weird but don't disregard their creativity, and I love that attitude cause art is free. Starting out, I used to use beats headphones and audacity and take the instrumentals of songs, write my own verse to them, and post it on Soundcloud, one of the first songs I did that with is actually still on there but I would not recommend listening to it lol. I really didn't take it seriously at first, I just thought it was fun to start making music and writing down how I felt. I definitely agree with you when you say that music, along with life are growing processes that never stay the same. Do you see yourself changing your music as you grow or do you prefer to stick with a common theme/ mixture of genres? Personally, I try to make create around the past or present in my life, so as I experience more, I feel like I can mix different genres and still remain me while also bringing out a whole different way or wave of that genre. Ain't nothing wrong with changing the game real quick. What have been some of your toughest obstacles along the way and how did you overcome them? Are there any musical artists who currently have an influence or have had an influence on you or the makings of your music? The toughest obstacles for me as of now are networking, at first I was very excited to even create so for local artists, I would say too much and sell myself short without building relationships or even wanting too. I definitely am more cautious when it comes to dealing with other artists because my sound fits a certain group and locally if we all can build off that sound then was guaranteed success, and also Humbling yourself. Everyone is confident in their music and you are not entitled to people listening to it or liking it. Nowadays music moves so fast and if you can't bring something different or ear-catching its hard to get that fanbase, but if you remain yourself and have fun making it people will appreciate it even more. There are 3 music artists as of now that are major influences on me and have been in the past, Brent Faiyaz, Frank Ocean, and Childish Gambino. They have brought something to the music world that I feel everyone should learn from, its real, its now, it's building almost a cult-like situation where no matter what they drop no matter when they do it, the fans will remain there and it's crazy to me how this is still relevant to them today. Which of your songs do you feel best represents the artist and individual you are today? I think the song that represents me would have to be "Happy Ending". In my projects (considering I've only dropped 2), I tend to make the ending a reflection of my life. I tend to let out all my emotions all the things I've been meaning to get off my chest and the emotions I've felt over the years and write about it. Happy ending is about a lot of personal stuff in my life and there's a specific part I don't think people caught onto yet, but I'll talk about that another day, all in all I like taking time out to bring the human side back to creativity and I see it as a chance to connect with me as well seeing as we all go through good and bad things. Thank you so much Olijade! What is next for you in this journey as a music artist? Any live performances or shows that we can find you at? Of course! What's next for me is definitely going to network with people, attending local events, traveling, music videos, projects, 2020 is coming hard and I'm excited to get the year started already. For shows, I don't have information yet but they will be coming faster than expected, I would definitely follow my Instagram to stay posted! Thank you again for having me! - Pharaoh Hussein Delivers a Fire Club Ready Hit with “Run up”
We took a listen to Pharaoh Hussein’s single titled “Run Up” produced by the legendary Zaysace P and this single was a huge hit. This song had a trendy lyrical approach with a catchy hook. It’s the type of hook that gets stucks in the listener’s head because the vibe is so contagious. Pharaoh Hussein’s cadence style is quite unique and almost idiosyncratic to him. Although the lyrics can get a tad repetitive after a minute, the song still manages to somehow give you transitional surprises in the production of the beat, thus keeping you highly attentive to the entire track. “Run Up” is club ready! I instantly visioned my friends and I banging this track on our ready to function or even while we turn up in a large social setting. Pharaoh Hussein knows how to captivate and deliver the energy that radiates through the music. You can’t help but get hyped when listening to this music because the beat is so addictive. You find yourself swaying your head back and forth naturally moving with the rhythm. I can see “Run Up” being a marketable single that will resonate well with a large audience of music lovers. It’s raw enough for the hip-hop fans and diverse enough to cater to the non-rap lovers. It’s an all-around vibrant and catchy track that you will undeniably fall in love with the way we did. You can listen to “Run Up” here! Welcome to BuzzMusic Pharaoh Hussein! Talk to us about your background and upbringing. What initially inspired you to pursue music? Just overall the effect it has on people. Music can uplift you motivate you to do a lot of things music is powerful seeing artists like Pac and Jay and the influence they had and have just inspired me initially. Let’s talk about your single “Run Up”. What was the overall concept of this record? The concept was just basically speaking from that underdog state of mind which some people can relate to having a chip on their shoulder and wanting to say certain things but can't. Mind detailing to our readers your approach to lyrically crafting this hit together? Say what you want to say don't hold back was my approach but still keep in engaging and entertaining you know why so serious lol! What was the most challenging aspect of creating “Run Up” and why? Probably the mixing process the song wasn't anything out the ordinary but getting the mix to sound crisp and clean it ran threw some previous versions to get to this one. What’s next for you Pharaoh Hussein? Well, the video for run-up dropping in December and we got another video off the project dropping as well right now mainly just going to push this project but I'm always creating tons of songs in the vault 2020 is going to be an exciting year trust. instagram.com/pharaohhussein #BuzzMusic

My song is ironically about letting go and realizing that you deserve better, so releasing this single has helped me move past a toxic relationship that held me down for so long and now I’m finally following my dreams! Did your initial vision for your overall production of "I Deserve Better" execute in the way you planned? Do you find that the visions you have with creating your sound changes over the process, or does it typically remain constant? I am blessed to work with one of the most talented, young producers around: Austin Shawn. My initial vision for the song definitely came to fruition during production and the final product is exactly what I had in mind! Austin and I just vibe so well together. Would you ever incorporate genres that are incredibly contrasting from what you currently blend together now? Absolutely, I love all sorts of music and I hope that shows through my music. I consider “I Deserve Better.” to be one of my pop songs, but today I actually just released a pop-country song and I’m very excited for people to hear that as well. My whole life I have battled demons in my head (depression), and I know many others do as well. When I start getting bigger I want to send a portion of my earnings to mental health foundations to support research and also help people afford therapy and medication. Thanks again for talking with us about your recent release! What's the next goal for you artistically, now that "I Deserve Better" is finished?
