  • Yaj Shares The Love With His New Single

Releasing his first studio album 'Susan', singer/songwriter Yaj is rearing to make it big time. Hailing from Prince George County, MD, this American definitely has got the style and cool factor. Dabbling in everything from Lo-fi Hip-Hop to Alternative R&B, we’re pumped to listen to Yaj’s entire debut album, but for now, we’ll be focusing on the simple, yet sweet track 'Big Love' - one that we think is a contender to be that breakout hit. 'Big Love' is a chill R&B bop that will have you dreaming about those times you spent in love and nothing else mattered. The mellow bass, crisp beat, and heartfelt guitar set the stage for Yaj’s soft voice that has the slightest amount of rasp. He’s definitely got the chops to hit those higher notes too and he delivers them in a way that is sultry and full of emotion. It fits so well with the tone of 'Big Love', a song about being deep in love with someone. It also gave us those dreamy, floaty vibes like when you listen to Sunflower by Post-Malone and Swae Lee and we’re totally on board with it! These kind of hypnotic melodies are just so infectious, so beware, once you give it a listen, you might not be able to stop hitting replay! Check out 'Big Love' here. Welcome, Yaj! 'Big Love' is a solid track to chill out to. Can you tell us about what inspired you write this track? Well, it's kinda funny, the lyrics stemmed from an out of body experience actually, haha. After hearing the beat it just kinda took me back to that space. That kinda trippy feeling, floating... you know. And then the idea of sharing that feeling with that person you're into, that you have a love for, and you want to share that feeling with them. Did you expect 'Big Love' to garner some of the most attention once you completed Susan? Sure, I mean I hope so, I think the song is groovy. So far, it's been a song people have gravitated to. I hope to shoot visuals for it in the near future, which will give some more draw to this song and album. Are there any other sounds or genres that you’d see yourself diving into someday? Absolutely, I'm constantly experimenting with new sounds & genres. It's almost impossible for me to stay married to a consistent sound, that's the beauty in music to me, It's endless, you can create whatever feels right and sounds good to you. What has been the biggest hurdle in releasing your first album? Shoot, affording it honestly. This was my first studio album, recording and mixing at the studio. So, I had to comfortable experimenting there while still being efficient with the time I had there. We’re so excited for you and the journey ahead. Now that you’ve released your first album, what can fans expect next? More music definitely! I hope to release some new songs soon and a new project early next year. www.instagram.com/yaj_music #BuzzMusic

  • ML Is Truly A Force To Be Reckoned With

ML is truly a force to be reckoned with. After spending years managing some of the biggest Namibian musicians and featuring in a song by hip hop/kwaito artist Exit, ML knew it was her time to be in the spotlight. And boy was she right. ML released her debut album in 2018 and has been pumping out hits since. Now, with 2 albums as well as numerous singles and features under her belt, this lyrical MC has just dropped a new single and music video for her song Ndota. Like many of her other hits, Ndota sends a powerful message matched with a banging beat that’s got us dancing. Ndota is named after the traditional African counting game of the same name and brings a sense of playfulness and charm to the song. It connects the music video masterfully to this hip hop track. With such great conviction, ML spreads her message of love and calls for freedom as she counts off with the drums providing an uplifting tempo. This rhythmic sound accompanied by Namibian flair provides a great soundtrack to the video. On top of all that, the flawless dancers, the imagery of Ndota, the slick edits to the video itself, and the queen that is ML all come together and truly make this release badass. We are so glad to see ML stands tall in a genre that is so often dominated by men. Please support this inspiration and show her much love! You can check out Ndota by ML here ML! We’re so happy to welcome you to BuzzMusic! We wanted to start by saying that we love your song, Ndota, and everything you stand for as a musician! Could you tell us more about what Ndota, your new single, means to you? Ndota is really a fun light song I decided to do to make my fans dance a bit.  Ndota is a traditional arithmetic game we grew up playing in the village. It is played by two people or more and it involves a total of 12 hard marbles like, which you place in a hole (not too deep and not too shallow) then you pick one marble while throwing a ball like in the air. So to keep playing you need to take out the right number of marbles each throw while not letting the small ball fall from your hands. So you throw, you pick one, you throw you take it back, you throw pick two you throw you put back…..until you pick all 12 and put them back. Then you move to level 2 you start with 2 and so on. So it requires skills and patience and that’s exactly what the message in my song brings out.  I sing saying: " My Generation, smooth seas don't make skillful sailors” reminding them that you need the ups and downs in life to make you strong and nothing comes easy. Basically in a fun dance mood that’s what Ndota means to me. Your songs have such great meaning behind them, what influences you to address so many major issues when crafting your music? I am inspired by my reality.  I work and relate with people from all walks of life and this inspires me to write relatable music. I guess I’m a bit deep and my lyrics come from a deep passionate point. When I get into the studio, I naturally just start writing and this most times I struggle to explain. As you are a huge believer in love and freedom, what kind of advice would you give to today’s youth who feel helpless? The young people must understand that no one will come to do things for them. They have to fight for what they believe in. Things change over time and each generation should be at the forefront of what they want to change for their generation.  Of course, empowerment is important and this mostly comes from eduction. So young people should take education seriously if they want personal freedom. What's next for you ML? Are there more albums or singles on the way? I’m working on my 3rd studio album.  On this project, I want to collaborate more with other African artists on the continent. In Ndota, you sing about wanting Bonang to hear your music! We have to know, what would you do if she responded – or has she already? Wow, if Bonang responds to my music I wouldn’t know how to act. She’s currently one the African Influencers I follow and I’m inspired by her entrepreneurial skills.  As someone passionate about enterprise development, I love that she’s pioneering being a young African mogul.  It will be a dream come true for Bonang to hear my music. The song has unfortunately not reached her yet. @aameML #BuzzMusic

  • Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show Has Our Attention With New EP 'Casey'

Hailing from New York City, Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show is known for dark but humorous experimental punk music, filled with everything from quirky dark lyrics to ritualistic themes of demonic possession. Through their high energy performances and experimental sounds, the group has amassed quite an impressive following. Their lyrics have much more to them than what is initially visible on the surface and Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show invite their listeners to dive a little deeper into the unknown. They pull together elements of theatrical rock, experimental punk, and pop hooks, for a sound as unique as their story. Out now is Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show’s final piece to their EP trilogy that originally began in 2016. “Casey” is incredibly high energy and the perfect intro to Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show if you're a first-time listener. Beginning with the infectious hook-driven track “Rabid”, “Casey” begins with an explosive intro track. “Interstitial (Tethered)” also boasts interesting rhythm and arrangement choices. Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show let their horror-flag fly with spooky soundscapes and a deliciously creepy reverb. The whole aim of this track is to bring back the nostalgic sounds of retro horror films. The fact that it’s instrumental-only just adds to the allure for horror fans alike. “Man / Thing” is more of a workout dynamically, with some questing guitar riffs adding a mystical air to the mix. The vocal gets to explore impressive tones, a diverse change from the previous track. The lead vocalist has a unique voice that is showcased brilliantly throughout the almost spoken-word verses. Using music as an outlet for their theatrical lyricism, Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show establishes a solid foundation for their fans to relate to their songs. A shot in the arm lyrically and in terms of attitude and energy, Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show’s EP “Casey” is a breath of fresh air. Casey is the band’s fourth and final EP before they release their first full-length album. Stay tuned! Check out “Casey” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show! We love your sound and we’re always curious about how new bands form. Can you start by introducing yourself and how you met and created Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show? Well thank you for the kind words! It’s taken a long time for us to get to this point. The original concept for the band came out of a nightmare I had way back in 2010. I knew I wanted to turn it into a concept album, but I put it on hold for a few years until I moved to NYC (from Michigan). In that time I developed the overarching story that stretches across all of our songs, about a circus ringleader possessed by a demon in the 1940s. I made our first EP by myself, with Jo (our current second singer) guesting on one song. From there I found musicians who were passionate about the music I was putting out, and now we’ve been together for 5 years! “Casey” the EP is such an incredible experience for listeners. It’s high energy, spooky, and undeniably theatrical. What’s the main concept behind this project? I really just wanted this to be our most fun release yet. Our last EP was a bit slower and experimental, but if you see us live, that’s not exactly the norm for us. A friend recently described our music as “campy and punchy,” and that’s what I wanted this release to reflect. On top of that, just like the rest of our music, these songs tell a story. In this case, it’s a bizarre pulp horror story about a misunderstood circus freak called the Dogman who gets manipulated into murder. The EP actually ships with a 60-page illustrated short storybook that tells that tale in more detail, and the whole thing fits into our larger band narrative as well. How do you personally feel about live performance? Would you say that you prefer the live performance aspect of music more over the writing/recording process? I think they’re two very different mediums that I love equally. Our live show is really unique, with a lot of theatrics, props, and instrumental interludes. So even in our live show, there’s a lot of writing and pre-production that goes into it that doesn’t show up on the albums. But on the albums we get to produce the songs the way we want them to be heard, even if that means instruments that we don’t have in our live show (like the saxophones on “Man/Thing”). I try to make it so that whether you’re listening to our recordings or seeing us live, you’re getting a complete, satisfying experience, but if you can experience them *both* you’ll get even more out of each of them. What can you tell us about your upcoming album? We can’t wait to hear more! Right now the plan is to release it at the end of 2020, but I should be careful about promising anything, haha. But we definitely want to get it out as fast as possible because it’s long overdue. It’s going to feature the 6 songs we’ve released in this trilogy of EPs, plus 6 brand new ones.  And just as our EPs have been released as short storybooks, the album will ship with an entire novel that tells the overarching story that binds the songs together. I’m so excited to finally put out a full-length package that will allow the listener to really get immersed in this whole crazy project. Thank you allowing us to feature your music! What else is happening for Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show through the end of 2019/early 2020? We’re going to have an amazing music video for “Man/Thing” dropping any day now. It’s fully animated by comic artist Dave Flamm, and it looks like an old pulp horror comic come to life. We’ve also got a number of shows coming up in NYC, including our annual “Devil’s Night” party the Saturday before Halloween at the Way Station. If any readers are in the NYC area, come out and meet us! The shows are a weird fun time, and definitely perfect for the spooky fall season. Hailing from Atalanta, GA, QC Latti is a 24-year-old gifted producer. Currently attending Georgia State, QC Latti began producing 3 years ago and since then has shown no signs of slowing down. Daylan Gideon and SwaVay are featured on the track, but QC Latti manages to still captivate right the way through. He does so without volume or gimmicks, just with the strength of his own beats and the unique quality of his sound. “Dudley Boyz Freestyle” emerges with weight and originality, but still it provides this easy-going groove that feels unexpectedly uplifting and even motivational. Ever since I've released it I've been working with new people all over the city nonstop, Shout out to Daylan and Swavay for doing that for me. “Dudley Boyz Freestyle” was a vigorous experience for us as listeners. We completely felt the depth within the track. What was the beat creation and production process like for this song? The making of this beat and the production process were crazzzyyyyyy I made the beat at the studio in my house with a couple of friends over I wanted to make something everyone could freestyle to so I made a simple bass melody and took off from there afterward I pulled up to one of Swavay's sessions and I played him the beat and he said " Ohhhh I'm going to talk my shit on this one" he went in there freestyled his verses and asked daylan if he wanted to hop on the track and they both went in there and killed it. As a producer, would you ever be inclined to incorporate elements to your music that is completely contrasting from the genre you're predominantly in? Are you an artist that prefers to play around with their sound? I love to play around with sound I play 4 different instruments (viola, violin, cello, and piano) I make beats outside of trap all the time I like to make R&B and lofi music a lot I even made a few pop beats. • Hannah Gross Pairs A Catchy Dark-Pop Anthem With Heavy Lyricism In “F**k The Party”

Hannah Gross is a singer/songwriter from Metro Detroit and is based in Los Angeles. Her music is genre-bending but tends often to dip into the world of dark pop. Gross is known for her outspokenly bold lyrics and soulful rasp that carries throughout the melodies in her music. She has the innate ability to switch effortlessly from a subtle softness to a powerful belt. Some of her inspirations include Banks, Lykke Li, Florence + the Machine, and Miley Cyrus. “F**k The Party” welcomes both the uplifting embrace of a bouncing pop backdrop and the heartfelt, passionate connection of a song written with depth and intention. That balance is crucial, and really well executed. You relate to that honesty with that vulnerability within “F**k The Party”, and at the same time, it’s easy to turn up loud and escape within. Hannah Gross has mastered the art of melodic satisfaction, so the song lingers in your mind long after listening. Despite the lyrical turmoil, the track energizes and brings together everyone who has felt these emotions and been down these pathways. The moods vary throughout “F**k The Party”, proving Hannah Gross to be both a creative and versatile artist. An artist well worth tuning in for. Listen to “F**k The Party” here and read more with Hannah Gross in our exclusive interview below! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you start by telling us how you got started making music? I have been singing in the shower professionally since I was a toddler, but as far as pursuing it as a career I’d say since high school/college era. It’s been a long run and I’m so ready to share new music and be able to connect to people through my songs. “F**k The Party” has a strong lyrical depth to it! Can you dive into the meaning of the lyrics? This song came about so quickly and so organically and it’s because of the truthfulness of the lyrics. I battle--as many do--with anxiety and depression and sometimes it may seem as though I’m outgoing in social settings, but truth be told I’m pretty f**king awkward and nervous internally. I wrote this song about the social pressures of interacting at huge parties and dodgy clubs with people who don’t know or give a fuck about me. I was fed up with the bullshit of smiling and nodding all just to get through a night of impersonal chaos. What do you hope your listeners take away from “F**k The Party”? For me, this song is about yearning to feel something real, whether it be physical or emotional, and I hope others can relate to that as well. If you need tequila, sex, drugs--pick your poison--it’s your prerogative. What has been one of your most memorable or life-changing achievements as an artist so far? I think I have been through the wringer, and this is NOT to say I’m the only artist who has experienced the ups and downs of the music industry. I’d say the tough lessons, though unfortunate, are the ones that have changed me as a human, for the better. Finally being a fully independent artist is an achievement of mine--I’m scared as fuck, but the most excited I've ever been. Do you have any upcoming events or shows you’d like to talk about? What’s next for you through the end of 2019? Keep on the lookout for more music from me ;) Instagram: @itshannahgross Twitter: @itshannahgross Facebook: @hvnnvhgross #BuzzMusic

Releasing his first-ever single, Brett Wilkins is jumping from the stage and into our playlists with his self-written song “Last One Tonight”. This Tampa Bay-based artist, known for his solo acoustic music, loves to cover a wide range of hits by legends including The Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, John Mayer and Imagine Dragons. But finally, with his new single, Brett has finally been able to make his own mark on the rock music scene. With a voice similar to that of Bryan Adams, Brett starts off “Last One Tonight” highlighting his skillfulness and talent in acoustic music. This alone had us drawn in for the ride. Slowly the song builds up, introducing a rhythmic beat and then around the halfway point Brett is joined by a complete rock band ensemble, giving us that sweet rock n’ roll we all know and love. From the epic guitar solo to the beautifully harmonized background singers, the final product sounds so good and so right. It’s hard not to join in as Brett hits his final notes out of the park. This is quite the start to what we are sure will be a bright and successful career for Brett. We are so excited to see where his next single takes us as this first track was quite the ride! So, please check out Brett’s single “Last One Tonight” on most digital platforms including iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon Music today! We’re sure you’ll be rocking along in no time! Hello and welcome to BuzzMusic Brett! We wanted to start off by saying your single “Last One Tonight” is a solid hit! We’re sure it’s been quite an exciting process to record your own music for the first time, so we wanted to know - what lead to you making the leap and releasing your very own single? I have the honor of being surrounded by a lot of great musicians in the Tampa Bay area, and many of them have put out some amazing music. They helped and encouraged me to write my own and to never to be afraid to put my work out there, so...here we are. Did you ever imagine you’d be a professional musician with his very own single growing up? No. I'm just extremely grateful I was able to get over my fear of performing, taking my best shot at it, and get to do what I love for a living. “Last One Tonight” starts off with smooth solo acoustics and builds up to a head-rocking jam session, where did you draw inspiration from when writing and producing this song? "Last One Tonight" was done through my typical song writing process. Just me and an acoustic guitar. I also like songs that have a build up. There is something I like about hearing each layer added throughout the song. A lot of credit goes to my friends Josh and Chantal Lester from Love and Lament. Josh produced the song as he understands my style of writing. The drums and organ you hear on the track is all him. As for the incredible backing vocals, that was all Chantal. She knows my love for Pink Floyd, and that was her way of adding a little Floyd to the song. After she laid down those tracks, she breathed new life into the song and I love it! We’re sure you have a ton of music up your sleeve, how did you decide to choose this track to be your first single? I've written a lot of songs in the past, but never put a lot of faith in them. I think Last One Tonight was the result of my lack of fear, musical maturity, and finally being able to develop a message that I really believed in: Spend every day as your last, with the hope of seeing tomorrow. We really appreciate you taking the time to talk with us at BuzzMusic! What does the next year hold for you Brett and how can fans support and follow you through these exciting times? No clue what is in store for next year. I have a few other songs that I need to develop and record. Currently (and thankfully) I've stayed busy with playing live gigs 5 to 6 times a week and spending time with family. Frankly, I'm hoping this exposure will help me break 1,000 streams on Spotify we'll see. Ha ha ha. As for support, follow my Facebook page, check out the song, and regardless of where you live, be sure to support live music in your area. www.facebook.com/WilkinsMusicFL #BuzzMusic

Making his name known throughout the Bay Area and beyond, Christopher Catalano, better known for his professional name Owl Green, have an inherent passion for music like no other. Owl Green has a drive and fire for music in him that’s sometimes lacking from modern artists hoping to make it big. He’s been working towards perfecting his crafts for over a decade, including two years of vocal training to solidify his sound. Inspired by legends like Andre 3000, Nas, Anderson. Paak, and Frank Ocean, the prolific hip-hop artists delivers his own echoing renditions. Self-described as “lo-fi vibe with swing and swagger,” Owl Green aims to bring his individual sound across the West Coast and throughout the country and more. Fresh off the release of his EP “Tuesday”, Owl Green shows no signs of slowing down. The laid-back production throughout “Tuesday” is charmingly accessible yet professional enough to set itself apart in a big way. The intro track “Spend That” focuses on topics ranging from the way his outlook has changed to residing in his new home in Los Angeles. Getting a message across, effortlessly reciting perfect lyrics, and finding/creating beats to match is Owl Green’s specialty. The next track “I Swear” showcases flawless production quality and the artistry is professional and finely-calibrated. The way Owl Green approaches his life, his drive, his work ethic and his motivation, all on another level in “I Swear”. I think that this track really embodies that message with the meaningful and truthful lyricism. Through “I Swear” Owl Green’s flow is precise and flawless as he recites every bar with timed perfection and style. It’s honest and raw and shows a side of Owl Green we’ve never seen before. The production quality is incomparable and the backbeat is addicting. “Blah Blah Blah” details Owl Green’s undying drive to rise to the top on top of a sunny bass-filled beat. I think that Owl Green is incredibly talented and skilled at connecting with his fans. He writes lyrics that speak to the listeners and music for anyone to vibe to. No stranger to success, his EP “Tuesday” is yet another big step in the right direction for Owl Green. Check out “Tuesday” here and read more below in our interview with Owl Green! Welcome to BuzzMusic Owl Green! How did you first get started making music? What gave you the drive to hone your craft for ten years, including two years of vocal training? Hey, what's up team. I first started making music at my friend's house at the tail end of high school. Throughout my schooling, I played trumpet and guitar and transitioned to writing lyrics. My best friend's dad had a home studio so I had the resources to record and write which was truly a blessing looking back at it. I was always the guy at parties freestyling and I had enough people tell me that I was good so I took the step to start writing and recording and I haven't stopped since. I am a bit of a perfectionist, and my biggest fear in life is not being successful, so once I started to rap I those few factors kept me driven. I truly love and appreciate the Hip Hop culture and I didn't want to let it down, I wanted to be apart of it and contribute to it. When it came to my vocal training it was always something I wanted to try and as a vocalist the more tools in the box the better. So one of my homies who I had been making music with had started to take some classes, and he went from not being able to sing, to becoming a great singer in just about a year. So once I saw the results I had to try it out and it's honestly the best move I ever made in my music career. It has helped me not only take my music in a different direction, but it has improved my live show. We love the confidence and swagger you exude throughout all three tracks of “Tuesday”! Can you dive into the main themes behind this project? So I have this theory about Tuesday which was inspired by a Childish Gambino song quote, "Tuesday afternoon, ain't got shit to do but fall in love with you.". I started to think about Tuesday and how it is the only day of the week that has no association with it. For example, Monday is the first day of the week, Wednesday is hump day, Thursday is the new Friday and so on. So that leaves Tuesday. I feel like it's the purest day of the week, just a day to do whatever. So with this EP, I picked 3 songs that are pure to my style as an artist. I have a mainstream sounding track, I have a banger and I have a fun bouncy Chance The Rapper, FKJ sounding track, all styles of songs that I would say round out my style. So playing to my strengths on this track really helped me be confident throughout the process and the swagger is just an added bonus haha. From an artist’s perspective, what was your favorite part about creating your new EP “Tuesday”? How did you know when it was truly finished? My favorite part about creating this EP has to be the writing process. Nothing to me is more exciting than finding new beats to write to. The feeling is like being a kid in a candy store I swear. Like when you find a dope beat your mind races about what you want to write about and what styles and cadences you want to use. Also on this project, I really got the chance to showcase a lot of new skills I have been working on, and as my first solo project, I felt like I could be a little more like myself. For most of my career, I have worked in a duo (SSxOG) and while working with someone else you have to be present and aware that what you want to do may not fit with the final product. When I did I realize the EP was done? Honestly never haha I nitpicked so much throughout the mixing and master process that at some point I just realized that the songs are really good and I just need to release them. I think all artists go through it when it comes to finalizing their art, it is really hard to say when it is finally done, it's like chasing a Dragon. Your intense energy is clear through the speakers but what is your live stage presence like? My live shows are really fucking fun haha. I have a lot of energy, move a lot and bring a real party vibe to my sets. I am really comfortable on stage and I have a good ass time so I feel like the crowds feel that and like to join. I put a lot of time into my sets, planning wise, so my presence is calculated and I like to plan out fun things to say but at the same time be spontaneous. Like one time in Boston, I started off the show by rapping my verse in a trashcan on stage. And once in Santa Cruz, I played a song with my pants off. So definitely expect to see some antics when you come to see an Owl green show. We really appreciate you chatting with us about your incredible music! What’s next for you artistically? Does your creativity manifest itself in other ways! Anytime! These interviews are always fun and it's nice to really think about these types of things in detail. For me what's next artistically is, of course, to keep creating music and honing my craft and expanding in styles as music is always changing. After this EP, I'm going to be working on some collabs with some really cool artists that I am super excited about I'd love to do an RnB album at some point as well as an EDM EP with my boy FreeFall. Outside of music, I do photography and podcasting, so I'm always kinda creating. I have been doing photos for a few years now and really have formed a passion for getting great photos. I would love to expand in that field as well as get more and more into it. At the end of the day, I love creating, no matter what the content is, if it's creative I'm on board. instagram.com/_owlgreen twitter.com/_owlgreen facebook.com/owlgreenmusic #BuzzMusic

  • Zitro And Joshua Morata Collaborate To Release “Bacon And Waffles”

Justin Ortiz is the epitome of an independent, self-made artist. Better known for his professional name Zitro, he is a pop singer/songwriter, recording artist, and producer based in the Bronx. Zitro has an impressive catalog of singles, three full-length albums, and various EP’s and shows no signs of slowing down. His latest release “Bacon And Waffles” in collaboration with Joshua Morata truly highlights his skill and versatility as an artist. The duo matches perfectly on top of the retro-inspired electro-pop soundscape. Zitro’s vocals are spotless as always, and Joshua Morata adds an unexpected rap edge to meet and hugely surpass the listener's expectation for this track. Sounding like it could have been pulled directly from Justin Timberlake’s “Man of the Woods” album (in a good way), “Bacon And Waffles” is a complex and satisfying single that benefits hugely from the way that Zitro’s voice meshes with itself to create a warm and satisfying pad of sound, which elevates the chorus to something quite delicious. The whole production of “Bacon and Waffles” sounds hugely confident at every turn. This composition is also all about Zitro’s vocals, and they are terrific. His voice is all his own, and “Bacon and Waffles” is a warming and wonderful slice of pop that delights, has great dynamics, and is very well mixed and produced to complement his talents. Check out “Bacon And Waffles” here and read more with Zitro below! Hey Zitro! We’re really enjoying bumping your album “Season III: Cast Party”. What was the overall concept of this project? The original concept was about having a handful of artists (4-5) feature on the tracks, and for all the songs to be anthems of dancing, loving life, and positivity, hence the title “Cast Party”. As many know, real-life gets in the way, and it didn’t work out like that. I started to get influenced by a different voice and I wrote heavier and darker songs ever since I came back from Europe. So the concept automatically changed into being about the ups and downs of life, as cliché and boring as that sound. However, by listening to the album start to finish, you really do see both the best and worst in me. “Bacon and Waffles” is a great song! And is the only song on the album with a feature. Can you tell us why you chose this song and how your collaboration with Joshua Morata came about? People love a fun, danceable song as the first single and songs about sex get people’s attention, so there was no doubt that this had to be it. The collaboration with Joshua wasn’t our first. I’ve been on songs of his, and he’s on two other songs of mine. We’ve been collaborating since 2017, starting with a cover of The Weeknd. He, as always, did a fantastic job, and worked in his own style. I’m glad we pulled it off once again. We know that you're a lover of integrating a variety of elements into your music. Would you ever incorporate contrasting genres into your music, or do you think it would ruin the type of sound you're attempting to reach? We’re talking about an album here that starts with a club dance track (“Alive”), ends with a rock ballad (“Sleeping In”), with a wide variety of r&b, funk, and experimental in the middle. Variety is my life and I’ve grown up listening to everything. My CD collection proves this. Also, it’s great if you have an album to give an audience because you could never go wrong when you have variety in your sound. If the listener doesn’t like tracks 1, 3, or 5, they will instead like tracks 2, 4, and 6 instead. Your musical catalog is beyond impressive! How do you remain on track and motivated to continue to create music so consistently? The support that I currently have from listeners motivates me, even more so now. Also, I feel the need to pump out as much music as possible because of how short life is. Whether I die famous or not, I want to leave behind large discography for somebody on earth to find and go through and enjoy. Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us. What's the next move for you artistically? Do you have any events you’d like to talk about? I’m plotting out something new before the end of the year, along with a video for this album, and of course, I’ll put some new pieces of merch out for the new era. • Get To Know Oliver Who With His New Single “Found You”

Oliver Who found his passion for music at the age of 13, the same time he realized his interest in men. Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Oliver is a pop singer/songwriter who strives the create music about real life's trials and tribulations. This includes heartbreak, hooking up, growing up, and screwing up. Pulling inspirations from notable artists like Lorde, Troye Sivan, Sam Smith, and Years and Years, Oliver’s debut single “Found You” is out now! He plans to release another single within the year! The bouncing wave of dream-pop makes for an energetic beginning to “Found You”. The song blends elements of electro-pop and R&B on a danceable backbeat. The autotune on Oliver’s vocals are well suited to the overall sentiment and feeling of the track. “Found You” is equipped with a catchy hook leaving you craving more, and verses that bounce along the drum-line with precision and ease. Whether he’s weaving through catchy verses or the addicting hook, Oliver Who’s powerhouse vocals remain strong over top of the heavy backbeat. “Found You” is a track all about how ecstatic Oliver is to meet the person he sings about throughout the song. Perhaps after a second listen, you realize this could be an introspective track about finding yourself. His positive energy shines through the speakers while the infectious rhythm takes the listener on a journey through the soundscapes he’s created. We welcome this budding pop artist into the BuzzMusic Family with open arms and we can’t wait to see what he delivers next! Listen to “Found You” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic Oliver Who! It’s a pleasure to feature your debut song “Found You”! How long has this project been in the works? Found You has been in the works for 6 months. The video actually delayed the release a bit more. We’re always curious to learn more about how an artist got started! What inspired you to start recording/releasing your music? Most of my inspiration came from not having a lot of gay artists growing up that I could relate to. More specifically, there were no visible queer people that looked more like me doing music. The amazing thing about music now is that we’ve moved beyond the point of race and sexuality, so there are a lot more artists doing amazing things and representing multiple communities now. Who has had the biggest influence on your life musically thus far? Can you describe the impact this particular individual has had in terms of your new song “Found You”? The biggest influence on my life musically thus far has to be “Troye Sivan”. In his sophomore album “Bloom” he opened up more about his queer experiences and it made me realize how I wanted to approach my music. I think this inspiration is really strong in the video for “Found You.” I would have never had the courage to do something like this before. I’m still learning and hope to make more music about my queer identity and experiences in the near future. We felt the emotion you were trying to convey in your song “Found You”! Can you tell us more about the inspiration and meaning behind this song? The inspiration came from actually going through a recent heartbreaking situation. However, I wrote the song as if it was a love letter to myself. The song as a whole is about finding love, but I made sure not to use any pronouns in my lyrics to make sure the song stayed true to its original meaning–which is that love is universal and all around us. Everyone loves someone or something–whether it’s our family, lover, friends, pets, etc. It was great having you here on BuzzMusic! Tell us more about what's next for you after this song release? Any upcoming shows to promote “Found You” in the near future?! Right now I’m currently working on a couple of tracks that break away from the happy tone that “Found You” has. I think that the songs definitely still stay in touch with my Pop side. I have no upcoming shows, but stick around I might have something in the near future! #BuzzMusic
