Welcome to BuzzMusic, can you start by introducing yourself to our readers? Hi I'm Zack Duncan, Atl native and student of hip hop. What’s inspired your lyrics in “Big Bang”? The theme of the song is inspired by wanting to change my life and my living situations but the hook of the song is honestly inspired by a J Cole lyric on the song "Down Bad", "....We came from nothing like the big bang theory". What would be your dream collaboration? Why? Eminem, because I learned to rap by following his rhymes and I think currently I can match him. What do you hope your listeners take away from “Big Bang"? I hope listeners get inspired by the song and know that it's important to take the people that are close with you to the top with you. If you had to pick just one song in your collection to adequately describe your sound, which song would you choose and why? Big Bang, this song is a reflection of me and my dreams and also I got an artist that I've been a fan of for years to join me here. What do you hope to achieve as a hip-hop artist through the end of 2019? I hope by the end of year to be able to put out more dope music and to connect with as many people as possible. • Get Nostalgic With The New Release From A House Safe For Tigers

A House Safe For Tigers invites you along to take a little journey through their indie-rock chamber pop album "Space Between". The record is oozing with tasteful synthetic string sections and gives off the feeling of staring at an open night sky while afloat in an ocean. Waves lightly pushing your body up and down as you watch stars flicker and reminisce to yourself about days passed. The record is loaded with plucky bass tones and classic rock vocals schemes. A little country twang hidden beneath the surface sometimes peaks its head out every other song. Again, this album is something of a journey. One may be to be taken on a long drive or a night alone at home. Beautifully strung together and musically emotional. Give this one a good long listen because once you get halfway through the opening track, "Bumblebee", you'll find it difficult to stop listening. • Upcoming Hip Hop Artist Hawk Shadow Showcases Dominance In New Song “Slugger”

Hawk Shadow is a talented rapper and lyricist hailing for New Jersey. Growing up, the 28-year-old artist always loved street art and underground hip-hop. After realizing his true passion for making music, Hawk Shadow set off to find a beat to match his sound. After many years he was able to put together enough material to drop to albums. He writes about life experiences, both positive and negative, and strives to add a fictional tone. The main themes of Hawk’s tracks are peace and positivity. “Slugger” is not only a great track that’s produced to the highest quality, but it leads with a smooth and easily memorable hook. Anthem-like as a whole, “Slugger” i is also a bold and striking introduction to Hawk Shadow if you haven’t heard his work before. Despite the multilayered soundscape and the hard-hitting bars, no moment is wasted. “Slugger” can be described as nothing other than being on point, on the level, and impressively crafted. As far as contemporary hip hop goes, this release manages to effectively walk the line between the classic and the new. An easy stand out for 2019, and a track we should rightfully expect to hear across the airwaves for the foreseeable future. Check out “Slugger” here and read more with Hawk Shadow below! Hey Hawk Shadow! Welcome to BuzzMusic. We were vibing with your track “Slugger”! What does this song represent for you? This song represents the type of character I try to craft out of my hip hop writing. A tougher character that just wants "sweet beats" to rhyme to. A representation of the confidence that I feel with my music. What has been one of your most memorable or life-changing achievements as an artist so far? My most memorable achievement as an artist came from a fun experience. I took third place in a college talent show with a few friends, in a band that we had formed that day. We practiced for a half hour before the show and then went on to perform. They played guitar, drums, and bass while I freestyled to the beat they were playing. It felt good to be complimented by the judges for my freestyling abilities, and to be in sync with a new formed group. What are your thoughts on mainstream hip hop at present, and your hopes for the genre going forward? I tend to avoid the mainstream hip hop scene and focus more on underground rappers and beat makers. I find it to be repetitive. I have stuck to mainly instrumentals for the past few years, for listening and writing purposes; but any time an old school legend puts out a song I will definitely listen to it.I believe that the legends have it right, there's always a rhyme thrown in that makes me laugh because it is so amazing. I hope that hip hop continues to have that jaw dropping effect in terms of lyricism, and that there will always still be a sense of community. How important is it to tell your own unique and honest story in hip hop? I think it is really important because it offers listeners, whether friend, family, or stranger, a chance to see who you truly are as a person. And by sharing our personal experiences, an opportunity is made; to relate with someone, to create a smile, make someone laugh, inspire, and even teach. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in the music industry? The biggest lesson I have learned is to find your home base studio. Once you have a studio that you are comfortable with, where you can be 100% yourself at... That's when the fun begins! Thanks for everything. This was fun. • Easy There Tiger Deliver Funky Psychedelic Sound With “You Bastards”

Easy There Tiger is an instrumental funk rock band from Portland, OR. With a deep background in rock n' roll, the trio - Jake Soffer on guitar, Cody Powers on bass, and Mason Martel on drums - evokes a classic hard rock sound with a fresh taste of funk, jazz, and post-rock elements. Since the trio's fruition, ETT has maintained a packed schedule of shows in the Pacific Northwest. An entirely instrumental band, the three musicians incorporate soul, funk, rock, and psychedelic styles to form a unique, non-lyrical musical voice. Paying ode to “Got Your Money” by Ol' Dirty Bastard, Easy There Tiger adds their authentic flair and originality in their instrumental rendition titled “You Bastards”. All comparisons aside, what you get here is a gorgeously expressive piece of music. A journey through spectacular instrumentation, skillful use of contrast, quiet, chaos, and everything that it means to craft artistic audio from scratch. Easy There Tiger’s “You Bastards” is a superb example of how to take something exceedingly well known, and re-build it in a new yet still soulfully relevant manner. The track maintains every ounce of swagger and good vibes from beginning to end. Let your mind wander and groove into the melodic and wonderful soundscape of “You Bastards”. Check out “You Bastards” here and read more with Easy There Tiger below! Welcome to BuzzMusic! We love your track “You Bastards”! What do you hope your listeners take away from it? Thanks! It's a loose cover of "Got Your Money" by Ol' Dirty Bastard, and we had a lot of fun with it. The composition twists and turns in a bunch of ways, and we hope that listeners can find a way to either soak into it deeply, or just groove to it. What’s your writing process like as a group? For this particular song, our guitarist wrote most of the parts aside from the ODB motifs. The song was arranged by the group. Generally speaking, our writing process is the same for most of our songs - a few parts brought forth by one person, then arranged and cranked out as a group. What’s your stage presence like? We've played a lot of shows together since we started up two years ago - all of our music is instrumental and can be pretty demanding to play live, so we're not necessarily all over the place. However, our sound is leaning more towards a riff-based/stoner rock sound, which allows us to bop around on stage a bit more. When you’re not making music, what do you all do? Portland has a really cool music scene, so we often go to our friend's shows and play in other groups. What’s next for Easy There Tiger? We're putting out another single in October and heading into the studio to record our third single pretty soon! easytheretigerofficial.com is the best place to get updates. • BuzzMusic Presents: Where Legends Are Destined And New Track “Crumble”

Where Legends Are Destined is a two-man band from Los Angeles fusing elements of hip hop, pop, and rock. Founding members Ryan Scottie & Nick Bomby grew up together as childhood friends in Wisconsin, both ended up moving to LA on different ventures but would later link-up, and shortly after, start recording music and making songs. The two work as a tandem between rapping and singing over original music both create together. Drawing influences from acts like Linkin Park, Eminem, New Medicine, & Metallica, WLAD separates themselves based on the subject matter of achievement within yourself. You’ll hear soaring melodies and smooth piano from Scottie while Bomby provides energetic guitar licks and meaningful bars to balance out their overall sound. “Crumble” is a fine fusion of reflective, entrancing melodies, and a calming, ambient beat. Along with a refreshingly thoughtful concept and an honest approach, it all helps make “Crumble” an absolute stand out for the year so far. It’s a beautiful, late-night anthem for hip-hop and trip-hop fans alike. There’s a smooth aura to the whole thing and a clean finish, one that still lets the dreamlike aura of the backdrop wash over you in a hypnotic way. The lyrics and the vocal deliveries are of as high a quality as the music. The whole thing hits with impact and leaves you feeling uplifted and ready for more. “Crumble” takes its time to build itself around you. The intro sees a partly organic ambiance pour through, then you get that central melody, then you get that vocal that’s easy to connect with. This use of poetry and openness works beautifully, every line captivates while the entire piece just reaches out for you. A single listen to “Crumble” is not enough. Check out “Crumble” here as soon as possible and read our exclusive interview with Where Legends Are Destined below! Hi guys! How long have you been making music together? How did you choose your group name? We started Writing and recording about three years ago. We go by “Where Legends Are Destined” because we believe that all life achievements start within yourself; you have to decide what you stand for, what you want, what to invest yourself in, and what you’re willing to give up to make that a reality. Also, fun fact; the initials of WLAD captures our roots of Wisconsin Dells, and the place where all this started Los Angeles. “Crumble” has a strong lyrical presence. Can you dive into the meaning of this track? What was the writing process like? Crumble is about overcoming struggles and negative thoughts. It captures the necessary growth involved in overcoming these life challenges and negative thought patterns, that wouldn’t have otherwise occurred without those obstacles existing in your life. The recording process was well over a year before completion. It started with a riff idea Bomby came up with on the guitar, which later on became the piano lead for the track. We laid down the riff, and Scottie went to action adding drums, bass, and structuring the track. We completed the chorus and first verse within the first few weeks of its birth, then sat on the idea for almost a year before picking it back up again. I guess that’s just how it goes sometimes. What do you hope your listeners take away from your releases? We would like our listeners to believe in their dreams and themselves. To understand that they are the only ones standing in their path to true happiness, and to believe they deserve to be happy. What can your fans expect from your new music coming in 2020? We have some new tracks in the making that we’re very excited about! We believe it’s some of our best work yet! Also, MORE SHOWS! Do you have any upcoming events or shows you’d like to talk about? What’s next for you through the end of 2019? We are planning some shows in the next couple weeks in the LA Area. Bombys parents are coming to visit from Wisconsin mid September 2019, and Scottie is heading to Bali with his wife around that time. We would love to have those tracks finished by the end of 2019 and ready to release early 2020, as well as play some new venues we have yet to play. We are only just getting started! How did you originally get started making music? How did you know it was something you wanted to pursue? I first got into music at a young age. As a kid, I liked to challenge myself. So one day I challenged myself to write as many songs as I could in one summer before I had to go back to school that following fall. So I wrote a few songs that I enjoyed, and it's always been something that stuck with me through hard times. I always knew I would end up doing something creative, I'm glad I chose music. I just knew it was a way to put out a message, and I felt like my situation could be something people could relate too. I like to have fun and good vibes which you can hear in my music. We’re bumping your latest track “Flavor Pt. II” through the office! Can you dive into the meaning of the lyrics? The meaning behind Flavor is just being yourself and fighting for whatever you believe in. So when I made this song, I wanted to make a part 2 of Flavor. Which was a song I released last year, I felt like the first one was just full of energy. So when I made two it wasn't a problem, I made the track with an organic feel and trying to let people know being yourself isn't a problem. Flavor can also be fashion or any attire that you may wear, so if you're having a fly day. You definitely can play this song and have a whole day of Flavor. What has been one of your most memorable or life-changing achievements as an artist so far? I feel like it would have to be the recent magazine that I was issued in. To me, it felt like a trophy I remember recording with an MP3 not knowing I would be in a magazine 4 years later. It's just an honor to be apart of Ace Magazine, there really good people. What are your thoughts on mainstream hip hop at present, and your hopes for the genre going forward? I honestly like it and it's very energetic. I just love the vibes and the creativity out of each artist that's coming up. I hope that the genre gets to a point where we can have more positive, I listen to artists like Andy Mineo & Lecrae. I love their music and I feel like it will live in. I just want to make music that lives on. What are the main values you hope to represent as an artist? I want to represent positive energy and motivation to the ones that don't want to give up on their dream. I know as an artist that my story can relate to someone, I want to be known to be a good spiritual man that keeps going even when things are getting harder. I feel the world needs to be healed again, with me saying that I mean if we all came together and became one. We would all be physically and mentally wealthy. Because we would all be one and no one would feel more powerful than the other. #EqualPower Stay connected: www.instagram.com/RealJojay #BuzzMusic

  • Tucker Smith’s Debut EP “Yesterday’s Sun” Is Out Now!

Singer/songwriter Tucker Smith has been creating original music for years from Burlington, Vermont. In more recent years, Tucker decided to begin recording and releasing his material. His EP “Yesterday’s Sun” is out now and available on all major streaming platforms. “Walking Away” Ft Patch is a beautiful song, a classic feeling piece yet with a mildly alternative vibe to the melodic development. There’s a conversational style to the verses, and this leads well towards the ultimately simple and memorable resolve of the hook. In the meantime, the classic and organic musicality that is Tucker Smith’s musical style fills the room in a quickly soothing and likable way. Smith has a notably clever and artistic way with expression. “Walking Away” builds up beautifully around you. The track features blissful guitar work that lays out a gentle Americana ambiance, which supports the sudden passion and detailed imagery of Tucker’s performance perfectly well. Arrangement wise, “Walking Away” Ft, Patch holds your attention and affection spectacularly Fantastic songwriting that shines in a whole new way throughout this song. Check out “Walking Away” Ft. Patch here and keep scrolling for more with Tucker Smith Hey Tucker! Welcome to BuzzMusic! What does the release of your EP “Yesterday’s Sun” represent for you? Yesterday’s Sun is a representation of the artist I am, and aspire to be. The lyrics are real, the music is all from my head and it excites me that this was just my first piece of work. This was the first of many, music is my passion and I’m always writing more so this is just the start. What’s the overall concept behind the EP? All the songs are in an order that makes sense lyrically. They all connect to each other in a way of nostalgia, broken connections and moving forward in your life. It is about getting out of the storm you’re in and finding your way back into the sun. Can you tell us more about the lyrics within “Walking Away” Ft Patch? What inspired this song? “Walking Away” Ft. Patch was the first song I wrote, it was simply about moving away from something that is bringing you down, and not letting you feel like yourself. Everyone is watching you nowadays, we allow them to, but sometimes you just need to walk away. What has been one of your most memorable or life-changing achievements as an artist so far? Writing “Too Far Gone” was an eye-opener for me. I really let the music take control and drive the creation of the song. I’m always learning and improving musically, and “Too Far Gone” was a song I made realizing how much I could put into one track. What next for you through the end of 2019? I am currently working on my next project. I’m always writing something, as of now, I have 5 songs in the works. I plan for this next project to come out right when it’s done, there’s no need to wait. I expect it to be around 10 or 12 songs, all of which will be more experienced pieces of music. Keep up with Tucker Smith through social media! www.instagram.com/tuckersmithv #BuzzMusic

  • Phoenix-Based Four Piece Viper Club Make Impressive Debut With “Beatrix”

Viper Club is a cinematic, modern rock force to be reckoned with. In 2019, the band of brothers and friends united to write and perform high energy rock and roll. The Phoenix-based four-piece is led by Jack VanDerPol, who delivers high powered vocals and channels the on-stage charisma of the quintessential frontmen from the 1970s. Jack is joined by his younger brother and drumming phenom, Nate VanDerPol, long-time friend Carl Gumpert on bass, and the swoon-worthy, Nick Torri on guitar. Viper Club delivers on their promise to keep rock and roll alive with their well-scripted lyrics, expressive vocals, and electrifying guitar riffs. Viper Club has released their debut single "Beatrix," inspired by the gritty, highly stylized Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill. Introducing themselves as a band with a clear love for rock throughout the ages, Viper Club presents an indie-rock and slightly Brit-pop-inspired soundscape. “Beatrix” features cascading guitar riffs, a raw drum line, and a boy-next-door vocal that’s as smooth as it is gritty as it moves through the story-line. Then you get the lyrics that are consistently developing the melody. On the whole, “Beatrix” pours through with an air of classic familiarity, but this is a completely new story, new details and clever little lyrics reach out and appeal in an instant. Furthering their ode to the cult classic, Viper Club's name is a nod to the assassin squad in the film. A fantastic song, thoughtfully arranged, lyrically fascinating and refreshingly original and honest. It also confidently brings back that authentic rock sound with the riffs and the energy and the freely expressive set-up.“Beatrix,” was recorded at the world-famous Palmquist Studios in L.A. and with an all-star cast of contributors, like Emmy Award winning Producer, Jim Roach (Ninja Sex Party, Starbomb), Mixing Engineer- Thom Flowers (Steve Perry, The Ataris), and Mastering Engineer- John Greenham (Billie Eilish, CHON). Listen to “Beatrix”, out now, and scroll down for more with Viper Club! Hey Viper Club, welcome to BuzzMusic! Tell us more about your approach to music, for our readers who aren’t familiar. We try to make music that means something to us, in the hopes that listeners will connect with it as well. Congratulations on the release of your debut single “Beatrix”! What does this release represent for you? This release is really special to us. We feel like “Beatrix” is our first step into who we are as a band. No one tells you how long it takes to find “your sound” or “your thing” and I feel like we’ve just now finally done that with this one. What do you hope your listeners will take away from this song? It’s my hope that our listeners can use Beatrix to just get away for a bit. The song is about a movie, it’s not too heavy to grasp emotionally and that was the point. It’s meant to be a 2 minute and 50 second mental vacation. Do you have a longer project on the way? My brother Nate and I have been writing music for this record since last November. There’s definitely a longer project on the way but I don’t know how far out that is. Do you have any upcoming events or shows you’d like to talk about? What’s next for Viper Club? We’re lucky enough to have the opportunity to debut Viper Club at Pop Culture Music Festival on September 28th. We’ve been working super hard on our set and our stage design to make sure we deliver an unforgettable performance.
