  • NEW MUSIC: “Dotted Line” By Jaonere Will Give You Chills

London-based singer, songwriter Jaonere has been singing since he can remember. With a diverse list of musical influences, Jaonere pulls inspiration from everywhere. From listening to rock and motown with his father, mimicking the hi-life his mother would play as she cooked or staying up late to watch Trevor Nelson’s Lick Chart on MTV Base with his siblings, he knew he wanted a career in music. Jaonere’s latest release titled “Dotted Line”, is the first release from his upcoming EP. Flawlessly merging elements of R&B and indie-rock, Jaonere highlights through his melodic harmonies the frustration of committing to something he hasn’t quite “signed up for”. The song has a fairly full sound about it, despite the smooth vibes and soulful vocals, the ambiance has plenty of detail and the pace is a little quicker than the average R&B or smooth pop offering. The synths featured throughout pour even more of this into the mix, so you’re already introduced to a somewhat retro and uplifting musicality before you even get into the vocals and the lyrics. Jaonere explores the feeling of wanting to give up after facing many obstacles but continues all for the love of it. We can’t wait to hear what Jaonere delivers next! Stay tuned for his much-anticipated EP! Listen to “Dotted Line” here and read more with Jaonere below! Welcome to BuzzMusic! We love your sound! When did you start making music? Thank you! Thanks for having me! I started writing songs when I was like 10 years old with one of my sisters. We’d give each other 20 minutes to write a song and then we’d perform it back to each other *laughs*. You can tell we were bored kids but had a big imagination when it came to entertaining ourselves. The first time I got into the studio I was 17. It was the summer and I was going into the second year of college, which in the US would be classified as the twelfth grade. A friend of mine was a rapper at the time and he knew I could sing so he asked to do a track with me. We put out a few songs on Myspace at the time but that’s as far as they went *laughs*. Throughout University and after I was still writing and lending my voice for people’s hooks but I just didn’t feel confident enough to be out there as a solo artist until four years ago. Can you talk more about the lyrics in "Dotted Line"? The song starts off quite reflective and I even beat myself up about how past events have occurred which have left me feeling low and wanting to give up. I’m losing faith in the whole process and remembering a time when making music was playful and fun. The lyrics “Dotted Line” can be open to interpretation, which is the beautiful thing about the song. “This ain’t what I signed up for”, is a phrase I’m sure many people can relate to once they’re already deep in a situation, especially if they are a musician. There are so many obstacles and hurdles that you have to overcome to achieve and fulfill your vison, which is why I say in the song “I have these visions that will need to grow / living in this madness ain’t unusual” *laughs*. “There’s no small print or guarantee” that you’ll be able to make a decent living from being a musician but you do for the love of it. “Hold my hand but let’s not move to fast / It’s a rollercoaster but gotta make it last”, is also similar to the notion of falling in-love with someone but wanting to take it slow because you don’t ever want it to end. However, this line can also reveal fear, and questioning if you’re ready for this – the music industry. "Dotted Lines" seems to have a diverse lyrical depth to it! What was the writing process like for this track? I was listening to an Old Skl Hip Hop playlist on Spotify last year and Ice Cube – It Was A Good Day came on and I started singing in my falsetto “This ain’t what I signed up for, this aint what I signed up for woahhhhoohhhh”. I kept on repeating it to myself because it mirrored a situation in music that I was currently going through. I later decided to record myself singing it on my Instagram story and made a poll asking if my followers if they wanted a full song. All of my followers clicked on yes and sent clapping emojis etc *laughs*. So I said to myself I need to use this hook for my next project, even if it was going to be an interlude, I have to use it. I didn’t see myself getting clearance to use the actual instrumental so I found an LA producer on Instagram called, TheSkyBeats, and he had a beat I really liked. I started writing the verses and a pre-chorus on my phone notes over two days whenever the lyrics came to me. It was important I didn’t force or rush the process because the inspiration for the song came from a place of such frustration and doubt and I wanted that to come across in the lyrics. I then got my guitarist, Jordan Momani, to play some strings on his electric guitar over it at the studio. How do you think your diverse influences help to develop your sound? It helped massively as I had inspiration from so many different singing styles and genres. My father loved Motown and I was obsessed with Sam Cooke’s music when I was in my teens. I think that’s where I got my “Woahhhh” runs from *laughs*. Motown was always playing in the car when I was younger as my Dad drove me to school, along with Soft Rock. My mother always played Highlife in the house which is part of my Ghanaian culture. My older siblings listened to a lot of R&B and Hip Hop. All of these influences allowed me to appreciate so many different sounds at a young age. People often made fun of my taste in music at school, or they just didn’t understand why I listened to the music I did…*laughs*. But all of these influences have brought me to the sound I am creating today. “Dotted Line” is definitely insight for what more is to come! What can we expect from your upcoming EP? Do you have an expected release date? The EP will have elements of Old Skl R&B with a contemporary indie rock spin on it. You can expect sounds similar to “Dotted Line”. I can say I still have a little bit more to let off my chest… *laughs* no names will be mentioned though smile. The EP is likely to be out in January 2020. I don’t have a date confirmed just yet, but Buzz-Music will be the first to know once I do. Stay connected: www.facebook.com/jaonere www.facebook.com/jaonere #BuzzMusic

  • The Dead Bolts Release Brand New Track “Stay” In Preparation For New LP

Growing up as musicians in their neighborhoods on the South Side of Chicago, Eddie Hennessy (Vocals/Guitar), John Rolence (Vocals/Guitar), Matt Paske (Lead Guitar), James Ryan (Drums), and Tyler Hancock (Bass Guitar) eventually found each other to form The Dead Bolts in the summer of 2018. The band started out playing shows in crowded neighborhood bars, garages, houses, blocked off streets, and basically anywhere they could draw a crowd. With influences from Chicago’s prominent Blues, Rock, and Alternative music scene, as well as every other genre they happen to listen to, the band never put a label on their sound. They are currently working on piecing together their first full LP at Treehouse Records in Logan Square. Their latest singles “Keep It Movin” and “Stay” are the first tracks available from this project. “Stay” rocks along, chock-full of character with swagger to spare. A truly great song, one that sounds good to begin with but that reaches a spectacular early peak when the hook hits. It evolves even more afterward, re-crafting the soundscape almost entirely. Those initial layers of various genres cascade and collaborate among heavy fuzz and weight during the later stages, and on the other side of this are some hard-hitting vocals. You quickly see the effort and skill that The Dead Bolts have put into building “Stay” into what it is. The vocal melody is unusual in all the right ways. It’s a confident instrument, and a smooth delight to listen to, yet still retains an edge in places. Overall, “Stay” is a welcome addition to our playlist and I recommend you add it to yours too! Check out “Stay” here and read more with The Dead Bolts below! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Congrats on the release of your new single “Stay”! What does this song represent for you? After playing this song out at a few of our shows we started to realize it was one of the special ones. We’ve written a lot of music in just over a year of being together but this tune sticks out to represent something meaningful past just the music. The energy we get from playing this one live, whether it’s around a crowd or just at rehearsal made it clear that this was the next one to cut to record. Where is the best setting to listen to “Stay”, and what do you hope people take away from it? The best setting to listen to any of our songs is live, but if you don’t have that option, “Stay” is the type of song you need to dial into by yourself at least once or twice before you get it. Whether it’s on your headphones, in your car, on a random speaker, it doesn’t matter, your gonna need to crank the volume. We want people to feel the emotion that came from writing it. We want their hearts to hurt when it’s low, and pick them back up when the chorus comes in. What can listeners expect from your upcoming LP? Our upcoming LP will have 10 tracks on it. Compared to our debut EP, “Part Time,” we feel that our true sound has really evolved and taken shape in the process of making this album.  We’re still putting a lot of work into making sure it’s what we need it to be so a release date is unknown at the moment, but what we can say is that we’re excited about the songs we’ve written and it will indeed be a rock and roll album. If you had to pick just one song in your collection to adequately describe your sound, which song would you choose and why? At the moment we would have to go with our last single “Keep It Movin”. It’s one of our grittier sounding tunes and it embodies the kind of feeling we get as a band on the south side of our city. The gritty guitars, the lead riff, and the vocal harmonies throughout the song really grasp the rock and roll sound that we’re all about. It essentially hits all the bases with the music we’re inspired by and we’re proud it turned out the way it did. Do you have any upcoming events or shows you’d like to talk about? What’s next for you through the end of 2019? We have a show coming up at the end of the month on Friday night September 27th at Tonic Room in Chicago. Then after that we’re at Barney Callaghan’s Pub on the Southside of Chicago on November 30th, and we’re currently working on putting together a New Years Eve show at Old Crow Smokehouse in Chicago. Aside from all that going on, we’ll be doing our best to finish up our album. • JUMPCUT’s Newest Release “FADE IN” Is A Highlight For Peak Dance Floor Time

Philadelphia native, JUMPCUT delivers bass house and electronic tracks that bring life to any live show. WIth big emphasis on the build and unique sound design, JUMPCUT's style is influenced by global artists such as Habstrakt, JOYRYDE, Diplo, and Jauz. “Fade In" begins in a fully energetic and immersive fashion, lightness and pace intertwine to rain down in a joyful, motivational manner. Then the beat kicks in, and the robotic vocal “Fade In” instantly takes on an addictive nature. As this builds, the soundscape grows from simple to chaotic and beautiful, these synths and moments panning from quiet to loud wash over you like waves of entrancing energy. “Fade In” is a brilliantly original piece but with just enough elements of familiarity to let it connect on a broader level. JUMPCUT knows what his listeners want to hear and he delivers that flawlessly. A personal favorite, close to impossible to dislike, and an incredibly addicting track overall! Industrially heavy yet spacious and rhythmically hypnotic “Fade In” is everything we were hoping for and more. Check out “Fade In” here and keep scrolling to read more with JUMPCUT! Welcome to BuzzMusic JUMPCUT! What do you hope your listeners take away from “FADE IN”? It definitely has a unique feel to it. A lot of my style and vision revolves around bringing music and intertwining it with elements you’d find within films or tv shows. I haven’t seen that done in EDM really so I’d like to be on the forefront of bridging that gap. I hope listeners feel that within this track, especially in the second verse. How do you go about crafting a three-minute plus instrumental? What are the main qualities you try to capture? I always bring back my productions to “energy”. Every track is about that and what level you want to bring to it. I think that a lot of artists now want to be the next pop hit superstar, but aren’t looking at what will make them standout and what qualities they’re trying to capture. At the end of the day, EDM is meant for partying and clubbing so at least at the start, I’m trying to tailor to that. Where would be your dream venue to perform? Easily Ultra Music Festival in Miami… I’ve been down to Bayfront a couple times now and the atmosphere is something else. That’s where I fell in love with the genre. Playing at the worldwide stage would easily be my dream. I have good memories from there with some special people. What have been the main changes you’ve noticed in the music industry within the time you’ve been making music? I’ve been in the industry for quite some time now (since 2016). I’ve noticed that everything is going pop-centric and everyone is in a race to be the next big hit which is why the genre as a whole is taking a slight dive. From a business background, I get it. Streams mean more money in your pocket, but... what’s the money really worth if what you’re putting out isn’t what you like? I aim to find a balance between being a mainstream artist while staying true to myself. People like RL Grime come to mind when I think about that type of artist. He straight up kills it by putting out tracks that are very true to him while also having a semi-mass appeal (like with “I Wanna Know”). He is easily one of my biggest inspirations along with JOYRYDE. His tracks have such an original feel. What's your creative process like? It’s very fluid. I’ll just start with an idea or hook in my head and work from there. I think that mood as well as where you are in life dictate what a track turns out to be. I’ll never “pigeon-hole” or “typecast” myself to a specific genre/style and I think that’s best for my development. You make what you want - end of story. What’s next for you? I’m currently working on my first album and I have a few working titles for it. I aim to finish it by the end of the holidays going into the new year. It’ll feature a range of tracks from basshouse to trap and future bass. A few singles from it are out already (“FADE IN” will be featured on it as well as “BACK UP”) and I hope for it to be around 7 songs in length. I am planning to kick off 2020 with that album and work into getting seriously booked next spring/summer. If I can get booked, I have some crazy ideas for live events with certain types of visuals that haven’t been done before. Everything takes time, it just comes down to how patient and trusting you can be with your vision because most people nowadays sacrifice vision and structure for immediate gratification. As I’ve always said, things that are built to last typically do. Keep up with JUMPCUT through social media: www.instagram.com/jumpcutmusic #BuzzMusic

  • Trio Lost Crw Brings An Electic Sound to Alternative/Neo-Electronic Music!

Neo-electronic trio Lost Crw is bringing a styling to music that was beyond needed. We're absolutely intrigued with their programming, and the variety of synths and rhythms they're able to curate. They're ultimately the type of artists that are able to display an impressive amount of songs, with a variety of sounds and raw elements from various genres. Once giving a listen to their music, we knew they were a diamond that couldn't be let go (and we fully did not let them go, in the sense that we've added almost all of their music to our playlists)! Lost Crw's latest single: "Come Closer". In the literal first two seconds of Lost Crw's recent single "Come Closer", we knew we vibed with the track. Lost Crw is creating a sound that is catchy, tropical, raw, raspy, and honestly, we could go on with the elements that they're able to bring to his music. There are many ways to describe the type of sound Lost Crw produces. We feel like we can compare his sound to the likes of Twenty One Pilots, however with a definitive twist we can't quite put into words. All we can say is that as alternative music fans, we can tell that our BuzzMusic alternative/neo-electronic fans will love what they hear. "Come Closer" has many elements of sounds embedded within the track, which is what makes it so incredibly versatile. It's definitely the type of track you want to be listening to in a chill/calm mentality. It will for sure amplify the tranquil feeling, and create an atmosphere that is genuine. Lost Crw knew how to curate the type of track that is alluring and amicable. We're impressed, ultimately with their overall execution, and how they were able to take such integral elements of various genres and produce a great sound. We've already added "Come Closer" to our Spotify playlists, and we're hitting ourselves on the head for not listening to Lost Crw's musical stylings earlier! You can listen to "Come Closer" here, and read Lost Crw's interview below! Hey Lost Crw! We have to state right away that we're complete fans of the music you create. Tell us more about how that creative process goes with all three of you, particularly when you're all working together on a song! The creative process is very spontaneous for the most part, the three of us would sit in a car and create entire songs from scratch starting with freestyles and random beats bouncing around hooks and melodies until one sticks. "Come Closer" was a perfect representation of all of your abilities as artists. We loved the entire execution of the track! How did the process of writing and recording the song go?! The song was originally written and produced by Noah years ago, once Bizz heard the song he immediately began freestyling and writing his verse. The song has come a long way as we have had multiple versions with different management, but now we have found the formula that works. Tell us more about when you're all on stage performing? How does the energy feel in the venue? In venues we are definitely a show! Any performances we were in always got us the best reception from audiences, we incorporate different artists when we perform even singing alternative never before heard versions and remixes, spoken word, dance, and open instrumentals playing between performances (our first show). We are an act that will get he crowd cheering and asking for more! Do you all feel connected with your listeners? Do you feel that what you're trying to embed within your music is being received by your listeners? We strongly believe our music connects to our listeners, through the hundreds of people who have heard the track, a vast majority have asked where they can later find it or have directly spoken on how much they love the song. What's going to be the next big move for Lost Crw?! Setting up upcoming shows, on a world tour! • Exclusive Interview: Alessa XO!

Welcome back to Buzzmusic Alessa XO. Tell us about your visit to Puerto Rico. We hear it has served as inspiration for your latest release “Neverland”? Thank you so much! I love being back here at Buzz Music for another feature, this time about my brand-new song “Neverland”. Puerto Rico is such a beautiful place that I was lucky to visit 3 times in the past. The nature and authenticity of the island served as a massive inspiration to what later on became my new record “Neverland”. I wrote the song after taking an hour long walk on the beach and staring at the waves of the ocean. It is the first song I wrote for the album and it was written in one day. If I had the chance, I would have shot my music video there like the artist Luis Fonsi did with "Despacito". We listened and loved your record. What was the meaning behind this song? Were there any specific emotions you had to channel in while writing “Neverland”? Neverland is an emotional record telling the story of two young people that are in love but are facing difficulties due to their family’s diverse socio-economic background. Neverland's theme was shaped by two famous tales: "Peter Pan" and Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". In the tale of Peter Pan, "Neverland" is a fictional island where young kids cease to age, thereby escaping adulthood and to take on responsibilities. The term is often used as a metaphor for eternal childhood, immortality, and escapism. In Shakespeare's well-known "Romeo and Juliet", two young people fall in love but their families are enemies creating thereby an impossible situation for the young lovers. In my version of the story, a boy and a girl from two completely different worlds, depicted in the modern music video set in London by contrasting family structures and lifestyles, fall in love but their love is borderline impossible due to the girl's strict rich family. Neverland becomes a metaphorical place for the couple's dreams where they can eventually be together, and as it says in the song "where fantasies will never end" and where they will be "wild and free". The music video depicting that story was shot in London and Austria in the summer of 2018.  One fun fact about the video is that I actually incorporated my own family as actors, which was the best experience. Can you detail the production behind “Neverland”? Were there any challenges or obstacles you had to face? Neverland was a long and detailed production process and the song was changed a of times. The lyrics always remained the same, but the musical production was altered many times. I would not say we faced a lot of challenges because that makes the experience almost sound negative, which it was definitely not. The song, however, definitely took more time to be completed than the other songs from the album. We took a lot of time producing, re-recording and changing little details of the record but all in all, it was pure enjoyment. Neverland is one of the most thoughtful and artistic records of the whole album and I think the version of Neverland we ended up using is the one that perfectly captures the mood and vibe of the song and best tells the true story. Working on “Neverland” was most definitely a lot of work, but it did not feel like actual “work”, it was an amazing time and a lot of fun. Neverland is originally a ballad, but we did two remix versions that can be used in clubs and at events. We did not want the fact that it is a ballad hinder it from getting more exposure amongst different musical environments. We hear you have an upcoming album on its way called “WE ARE ONE”. Mind giving us a small hint on what we can expect from this project? The album name stemmed from the message that I wanted to convey when doing the anthem for the World Bodypainting Festival in 2018. The WBF track was also called “We are one” and was meant to symbolize unity and artistic community. The album contains a lot of diverse tracks, all very unique in their own way. Some of the songs are strongly influenced by the EDM genre and others have classical elements worked into them. I personally am very happy about the outcome of each of the records that will be on the album because not one track is the same as the next. My personal life experiences and things I went through were the inspiration behind almost all of my songs. I want my audience to feel understood and to identify themselves with me and my art. Which song off “WE ARE ONE” do you feel best represents this album theme and why? This is a question that is impossible for me to answer but I guess the “go-to reply” would probably be “the song with the same name of the album” (We are one). However, since “We are one” was produced for a specific event, I almost believe that some of the other records better represent my artistic vision. I also think that, because the records are all very diverse and different from each other, there is not an exact theme that remains the same throughout the whole album. I would describe the album more as a journey that has the listener experience and go through different stages of life enabled through the messages in my artistry. I personally went through different stages in my own life when I wrote each record of the album. What are you looking forward to the most this fall Alessa XO? I am very much looking forward to releasing the music video for Neverland, which we shot in London last summer, the official record and remixes and some of the other records from the album in the near future. I’m also very excited about doing more collaborations with artists in NYC, being part of many more features and doing many more live performances. I love writing music, producing records, collaborating with other creatives, it is what makes me feel alive. • Jessica Foxx Released The Trailblazing Single “Forgive Me Father”

Jessica Foxx grew up in a humble small farm town in Connecticut with big dreams for herself to become a major star. She decided to take the leap and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her passion to be an artist. It seems as if her efforts paid off! She released her latest single titled “Forgive Me Father” and her perfect mixture of electro and dark pop fused together to create an edgy yet digestible single. Jessica Foxx has an unbelievably refreshing voice that’s distinctive to her artistry. If you were to hear this voice on a different record you’d be able to automatically point out who it belongs to. Her voice just sticks to you like glue. Tongue-in-cheek, gutsy songwriting is what puts Jessica Foxx in the ranks of the new pop generation. The vulnerability she shows while remaining delightful and marketable makes “feeling emotions” look “Cool”. The youth will completely obsess over “Forgive Me Father” and the artistic creativity Jessica Foxx displays. “Forgive Me Father” is a song that resonated with us smoothly and we’re looking forward to seeing what else she has in the queue for us! Listen to "Forgive Me Father" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic Jessica Foxx! How was it growing up in Connecticut and shifting your scenery to Los Angeles? Was the transition difficult for you? Thank you! It was definitely terrifying but also so thrilling. I grew up with a really close family so going from having friends and family around all the time to living in Hollywood not knowing a single soul was definitely drastic but it felt right. I quickly made LA my new home and I have no plans to leave anytime soon! How were you inspired by Los Angeles? Did it help craft your artistry? Los Angeles is so magical to me. You can either look at it from a perspective that it’s oversaturated and there’s too many people trying to make it OR you can look at it as a city of opportunities. I actually find people who are going after their dreams inspiring and makes me want to work that much harder towards mine – I don’t see it as competition or oversaturation. Talk to us about your single “Forgive Me Father”. What was the major vision behind this record? This song is about my struggle with anxiety and my experience being on medication for it. I think a lot of times when people are dealing with something they don’t need someone to tell them it’s going to be okay, they just need to know there’s someone out there who understands how they’re feeling. That’s what I want “Forgive Me Father” to be for the listener. If this song only helps one person feel like someone out there understands what they are going through, then I did my job. Did you have any specific arrangements for “Forgive Me Father”? Can you detail the songwriting approach! The majority of it was actually done in a single session. I went back in to change a few lyrics in the verses but the majority of the vocals you hear were actually recorded while I was writing the song in the booth. I actually went into the studio that day fully intending on writing a party anthem but this just happened so quickly and naturally and it’s my favorite song of mine to date. How do you plan on elevating your next single from a trailblazing hit like “Forgive Me Father”? I always try to improve my vocals and songwriting but I think it’s about focusing on the message you’re trying to get across not topping the last song you made. If you’re too focused on writing a “hit” or a “number 1” I think it can hinder your creativity. From my experience, the best songs just happen unexpectedly. I have been experimenting with genre-blending lately, we’ll see what comes of it! Any fall plans for you Jessica Foxx? Just working on new music for now! • Twice Bleached Makes Their Powerful Statement With “When I See You”

Twice Bleached is a Canadian punk rock band formed in Windsor, Ontario by lead singer and rhythm guitarist Shane Owchar, in the fall months of 2018. While living in Windsor, Shane teamed up with lead guitarist Graham Dolson, bassist Noah Renaud, and drummer Nick Baddeley to record demos in Graham's basement. Not long after Shane and Graham hooked up with local producer Derek Impens to record their debut self titled EP at South Bridge recording. With the EP finished and the lineup ready to go. Shane hastily moved to Toronto in search of more connections and musical opportunities. On August 3rd, 2019, Twice Bleached released they're self-titled E.P and played their debut show at the Supermarket in Kensington Market, Toronto. With more music on the way, Twice Bleached is very excited to finally be gigging and eager to get back in the studio for Late 2019. “When I See You” is the explosive intro track to Twice bleached self titled EP. Bringing back the lightness and energy of punk rock, alongside thoughtful songwriting and long-form melodic development, “When I See You” feels enjoyably nostalgic but also introduces a fresh voice and a new approach to lyricism. At the same time, it seemingly walks the link between hard-rock and catchy punk-pop, occasionally feeling a little more indie and almost grunge-like in the way this leading voice pours through. There’s a detailed story at work throughout the song, plenty of openness and reflective ideas emerge, in contrast with that though is the fact that the song is decidedly upbeat sounding. The opening moments fill the room with optimism, the further you listen to the song though, there’s a definite level of depth to these lyrics, and they quickly become the track’s greatest selling point. Absolutely worth a listen! Check out “When I See You” here and read more with Twice Bleached below. Hey Twice Bleached! How did you come to create your EP “Twice Bleached”? The songwriting process for Twice Bleached was started in Shane's parents house after he had moved back to Windsor from Toronto to save money for future musical endeavors. Originally the songs were being written for Shane's prior band The Kid Lickies, which was currently on hiatus at the time. After a couple songs were finished, Shane realized that this was a whole new project in itself and quickly met up with Graham, Noah, and Nick to start recording demos in Grahams basement. Not long after we linked up with Derek Impens at South Bridge recording and made the EP. A lot of the recording process was very improvised. We were drinking and smoking throughout the whole process, and just having fun with it. On songs like Peach Dreams, you can actually hear Derek crack a beer during the first guitar solo and promptly yelling out like a cowboy. It was a lot of fun making the record and we can't wait to start working on another one. What would you say is the most distinctive characteristic or trait of this new music? The thing that separates us from everyone else is probably the unorthodox songwriting processes and the scattered influences within the music. The music has an outdated feel yet, in the same way, feels ahead of its time. It's the weirdest thing because our sound can fit into pop genres, as well as punk and rock genres. We like to believe anyone can listen to it and appreciate what we are doing with this project. As for the songwriting, a lot of the songs were Frankensteined together combining old verses written years ago with new choruses and bridges. This gave the songs a different feel as it plays through, keeping it interesting for the listener. Can you dive into more details on the lyrics of “When I See You”? What inspired this song? When I See You is about poisonous relationships that stem from the idea that It's best to put aside all emotional ties and just enjoy the physical satisfaction of being together. The song talks about how everyone wants to be loved but not everyone is ready to commit. The truth is, everything is easier when feelings are left out, but both parties will likely be left in a state of confusion. The song basically questions whether it's healthy or not to be in these kinds of relationships, with the ultimate decision of "yeah, its not that bad, I'm emotionally distraught but I'm sure as hell physically satisfied." What’s the overall theme of your new EP “Twice Bleached”? What do you hope your fans take away from it? I'd say the overall theme of the EP is about the struggles of personal relationships vs the struggles we have with ourselves and the connection between the two. A lot of the lyrics dive into the idea that it's hard to be a friend, a lover, or even family member for that matter when you're dealing with your own mental problems on the daily. The EP also touches on how past events can stay with you in such weird forms of stress, anxiety or panic and the only way to overcome these things is to keep on living and learning until the memory kind of fades. It's a bittersweet truth but truth nonetheless. Life ain't easy, people are confusing, drugs and alcohol make problems go away. That's the recipe for a roller coaster ride of a lifetime, and as far as I'm concerned, we're all living it. Do you have any hints of tour dates or upcoming show you’d like to talk about? Right now we are working on playing more shows within Canada. Unfortunately, we are still such a small project that it is hard to start talking about touring until we have a bigger following nationally or internationally. We do know that we will be playing some more shows in Toronto and Windsor throughout the rest of 2019, and we would love to start touring sometime in 2020, but right now it is just not our #1 priority. That being said if anyone hears our music and would like to tour with us, send over an email because we are always looking for new opportunities to get our music out there. • The Remus Tucker Band Brings The Energy With Southern Rock Groove “Come On”

The Remus Tucker Band is a hard-hitting outlaw Southern Rock group from Denver, CO. Their music brings different worlds together. From the energy of guitar-driven hard rock, the intimacy of country, to the raw emotion of the blues, anything goes! The band has been around since 2012, released their first album “South of New Orleans” in 2013, and more recently have been modifying their sound and line up to present a true power group. They push the envelope in fast-paced and heavy toned music, with Remus Tucker’s trademark vocal delivery reminiscent of legendary rock performers such as Freddie Mercury and Ronnie Van Zant. The Remus Tucker Band is currently preparing new material and getting ready to hit the studio for an album release in early 2020. From their last single, “Lonely Mile”, to the new single “Come On”, you might feel like you’re hitting the road on a new adventure with Remus and the boys, and perhaps that is part of the story about to unfold. We checked out “Come On” and we’re blown away! You can trust in high volumes for this entire record, classically rooted Southern Rock vibes pour through organic and honestly, gritty yet blissfully melodic, and all the while these hard-hitting and compelling scenes and thoughts fill the room around you. From softness to weight, calm to chaos, The Remus Tucker Band utilizes every element involved to craft something artistically relevant to the song’s underlying concept. “Come On” is a song that takes full advantage of contrast and builds up through its various sections in a manner that feels perfectly united to the sentiments in the writing. We love what The Remus Tucker Band brings to the table with “Come On” and we can’t wait to hear what’s next! Listen to “Come On” here and read more with The Remus Tucker Band in our exclusive interview below! Welcome to BuzzMusic! How did The Remus Tucker Band originally come to fruition? I've played in bands most of my life and it was always at the whim of others. I've been so close to "making it" only to have one person ruin it. So, I decided that it was time for me to do my own thing. I had a vision of an outlaw Southern Rock band and melded my own love of old timey country and great driving Southern themes. I sought out great musicians here in Colorado and put together a group that became what you hear this day. “Come On” is a great track! How would you introduce the sound, style, and intention of this release? Come on is straight forward rock with a taste of the old Southern Pride thrown in. It is about being on the road and living the life of a musician. The fun part, that is. My intention was to blast our great driving guitar and keep people on the edge of their seat from beginning to end. It think we have accomplished that. How do you decide what to write about and in which direction to take things as a group? I've been in this business a very long time and had some great times, and some bad times. I've loved, lost, loved again, and lost again. This is the feel that drives my current writing. I love the life, but it is hard and so my current singles, Lonely Mile and Come On, reflect that. The rest of upcoming recordings will also work around this theme. What are your thoughts on the contemporary rock music of 2019 so far? I feel, and this is only my opinion, that contemporary rock is lacking the soul and body of it's former days of greatness. When bands like Zeppelin, Queen, The Who, and so many others it would take a book to list, were out there forging the way for everyone else in the music business. I'd like to see people get back to actually singing and playing, without pitch correction. Actually get out there and do the work. Now, this is not to say there aren't some incredible artists out there, certainly there are, but much of it is still just cookie cutter. Come on folks! Let's make a statement again. What are your main hopes as a band going forward? My main hopes is to have songs in everyone's head and on everyone's radio. Do I want to be a star? Eh.. That's not as important as being heard and someone buying a beer or two for me out of appreciation.  I'd like to sign with a good label and have the leverage to put my work out there to the hopeful enjoyment of the masses.
