  • Interview: Manuel The Band Talks New Album “Room For Complication”

Welcome back to BuzzMusic Manuel The Band! Congratulations on releasing your new album “Room For Complication”! What’s the overall concept behind this album? Concept: The concept of the album is pretty literal- Room For Complication. The album is a collection of songs about situations in relationships that were....wait for it....complicated. Breakups, difficult moments and the feelings that come with those. The songs are very specific to feelings and moments I (Manuel) had over the past few years. It was a very "opening up" kind of album, talking about very personal moments. The band coming together and creating the musical parts over the songs was an amazing and bonding experience. How long has it been in the making? What does it represent for you? This whole record took place over a year and a half in total. We started with a few songs right at the beginning, Casual Love and Strong Independent Woman and then we finished the other 6 songs in about 4 months, then put it out. We were looking for our sound at first, and by the end of these recordings, we feel like we found it. We know you’re working on visuals for your track “Wide Awake”! Can you tell us a bit about what the music video will be like? As of now the concept for the video is still a bit up in the air. BUT, the major concept of the video will be very open for interpretation as the song has been interpreted very differently depending on who I've spoken with. I love that about music: for me, it's such a vivid recollection of a moment I had, but for someone else, it represents something completely different, which speaks volumes to its meaning. Truly humbling. Where is the best setting to listen to your songs, and what do you hope people take away from them? Wow this is a tough one. I think after a really good night and you have some time to settle. Everyone's asleep and you get to relax and listen to music. I hope they just enjoy the sound, relate to the lyrics and hopefully feel better about themselves. What are your main aspirations as a band going forward? We want to play live in front of as many people as possible. Keep touring, keep recording and have another album next year and keep going. We have a dozen songs ready, and can't wait to show everyone. Upcoming tour dates: September 14th: SoFar Sounds, San Diego. September 20th: Queen Mary, Long Beach, CA September 21st: Hyatt Hotel, Huntington Beach, CA October 19th: Burning Dan Music Festival, Landers, CA November 16th: Big Rock Pub, Indio, CA. 8pm Connect with Manuel The Band on social media: Facebook: facebook.com/manueltheband Instagram: instagram.com/manueltheband #BuzzMusic

  • Catching Up With CSABA

Welcome back to BuzzMusic! We love your sound! When did you start making music? Thank you for having me back!! The idea to "become a rapper" was born when I was super young, maybe 8 years old. Taking it seriously and applying myself to it though wasn't till about 17, and I'm 23 now. Can you talk more about the lyrics in “Genie”? Genie is a song expressing that even though I (we) go through bad relationships & bad times, we still need to have the belief that we're going to make everything we work towards, come true, regardless of the situation “Champion” seems to have a diverse lyrical depth to it! What was the writing process like for this track? This was one of those songs where the lyrics just poured out, I was "in my element" so to say. Of course, I went back and touched it up & made sure it sounded right and had the rhythm I wanted but yeah. It took an hour or two for the lyrics to be done and then a few days of tweaks before I recorded it. The lyrics are written in a way where I was also imagining the music video, which would be a Boxer theme. The overall concept of it is super simple though; if you want to win and be a champion, you have to put in the work and you have to fight forward. If you had to pick just one song in your collection to adequately describe your sound, which song would you choose and why? Oof, that's a tough one because I have never believed in "having a sound." It's basic and the artists cheat themselves that way, by staying in one bag all the time. I think versatility and experimenting are essential parts of being any type of artist, I'll never put myself into a box. To give you a bit better of an answer though, if someone asked me to play the 3 songs of mine only, to make them become a fan, I'd say YOU, Genie and Would You Rather. What do you hope to achieve as a hip-hop artist through the end of 2019? Just growth. As long as you're growing and learning & having fun, everything else is extra. • Grander Releases Their Second Explosive Single “Passaic Lots”

Grander is an experimental indie group, founded in early 2019 in Hoboken, NJ. The band is comprised of Matt Cugine (guitar, synth, vocals, saxophone), Chase Montani (drums, guitar, programming, vocals), Aaron Vigliotti (guitar, bass, drums) and Jesse Henshaw (bass, guitar). The group's eclectic influences range from classic rock to the pulsing textures of IDM, resulting in a unique sound that pushes the boundaries of modern indie music. All members of Grander are multi-instrumentalists and switch positions throughout their shows, creating an exciting live experience for their crowds. Grander is currently recording demos for what will be their debut project, which they plan to track in a studio sometime this fall. "Passaic Lots" showcases the band's live dynamics, with a loud crescendo and a vocoder outro. At almost five minutes long, the further you get into this session, the more the song seems to connect. The opening verse presents a fairly delicate sound, not notably organic but fusing a little of the purity of music with something a tad more electronic. Among this, the melody, lyricism, and the leading voice all draw your focus well. Your attention is on the storyline initially, this deeply personal and honest offering of experience and difficulty. By the time the hook hits you’re completely locked in. As songwriters, Grander brings an important touch of realness to music. “Passaic Lots” It is a well written and interesting piece of music. In my opinion, the live version would be the perfect way to experience it. Listen to “Passaic Lots” here and read more with Grander below! Congratulations on the release of your new single "Passaic Lots"! What does this song represent for you? "Passaic Lots" originates from my observations during a commute I used to do along the Garden State Parkway - kind of just where you're drifting off into your thoughts and then coming back into the fact that you're driving. The lyrics turn into a daydream, where the narrator is thinking about all the things that have happened along that route in the past. The part of NJ where I drive through is notoriously tied to organized crime - so a lot of the motifs that come later in the song are reflections on what that lifestyle may have been like. Where is the best setting to listen to “Passaic Lots", and what do you hope people take away from it? You should definitely play this song really loud in your car! That's where the lyrics first originated from, and the stereo effects sound really nice when your surrounded. We hope people can kind of drift off with it, and enjoy the ride. The highs and lows of this song is something we hear in a lot of our favorite bands, and so we tried to make this as dynamic of a track as possible. What’s your favorite lyric that you feel has the most impact in "Passaic Lots"? Why I think the last line hits with the most impact - "Am I no better than the rest?" Matt wrote the lyrics to the whole outro, and that's probably my favorite part of the song! I think that line kind of stands alone really well, it's a thought that a lot of us have from time to time. Also, I've always thought of the outro as this mob character reflecting on their life of crime and so that last line really wraps up the verse and song perfectly. What was the creation process like for this song? This song was born out of three other song ideas, and finding that they could be worked in together. You have the opening part, which was a guitar loop that I used to drum and sing over, working out the lyrics I penned while in traffic. Then there's the crescendo after the gunshots, which was a shoegaze-influenced idea that I was working on, but didn't have real direction. The outro was based on a chord progression that I was also trying to work into a song, but really took a life of its own in the studio. We really enjoy messing around with vocal processing, so Matt got the idea to lay down some vocoder on the outro and we didn't look back. Matt and I had been working on this song for a while, mostly by ourselves, but Jesse and Aaron both stepped in and added awesome elements once we started working out the live version. Aaron added depth to the percussion, using sampling pads to fill in the spaces left by the drum machine, and Jesse just came up with that funky bass line, and we knew immediately that both of those components had to be in the final version of the song. We recorded, produced, engineered and mixed this track in Matt and I's apartment, and we're really proud of the way it turned out. Do you have any upcoming events or shows you’d like to talk about? What’s next for you through the end of 2019? We're playing in New York City on Saturday, October 5th at NORD - NewOldRockDeli at 7 pm! Pumped to play live in the city again. Otherwise, we're recording demo tracks in our apartment studio and we hope to take those tracks to our friend's studio in late Fall/early Winter to start recording our debut project. More live shows and new music to come from us - we're really excited for the future. Connect with Grander on social media: Instagram Facebook Twitter YouTube #BuzzMusic

  • OUT NOW: Mess Of Wires Drops “Hard To Tell”, Hard-Hitting Rock Track

Mess of Wires is a Southern California rock band, founded in 2014 by childhood friends Sam Edelman (16, drums) Niko Nicholas (16, vocals, lead guitar), and Jersey Sullivan (15, bass). Channeling their classic rock, 90’s grunge, and garage influences, these guys have killed it live since they were 10-years-old, playing in some of the most iconic clubs on both coasts, including The Whisky A-Go-Go, The Viper Room, The Troubadour, and The Mint in Los Angeles, as well as The Iridium and The Bitter End in New York City. With their hard-hitting grit and heavy sound, they have opened for such legends as Missing Persons, The Alarm, and Steven Adler from Guns N’ Roses. “No Control” is their first 5-song EP release for CD, download, vinyl and major streaming sites, produced by Brent Woods at Steakhouse Studio in North Hollywood, CA. “Hard To Tell” boasts retrospective lyricism, pummeling guitars, catchy melodic riffs, and heavy rhythmic drums. Mess Of Wires exudes authentic chemistry that only comes from fine calibration and undeniable talent. “Hard To Tell” weaves through storytelling elements while remaining a contemporary rock track. Using music as an outlet for their emotive lyricism, Mess Of Wires establishes a solid foundation for their fans to relate to their songs. “Hard To Tell” is a welcome and addicting new addition to the music industry and I highly recommend you check it out and stay on the lookout for what Mess Of Wires delivers next! Check out “Hard To Tell” here and read more with these young up and comers below! Hey, Mess of Wires! Welcome to BuzzMusic! How did your band come to fruition? Our band started almost five years ago, when we were 9, 10 and 11 years old.  The three of us were part of School Of Rock in West LA and became close friends, deciding to jam together whenever we could -- so, our band was created right away. Our first show was at Niko’s dad’s 50th birthday party, and after that we just started playing more shows,  and now we are here. What’s the meaning behind “Hard To Tell”? What was the writing process like? The writing process behind “Hard To Tell” was basically our wanting to create a song that wasn’t basic 4/4 -- we wanted something new; something fresh. Our writing process is the three of us creating the music in a jam session and then Niko goes home and writes the lyrics. And we created “Hard To Tell” -- like so many of our songs -- that way. Your vocals are so impressive, have you had any training? Or have you just honed your rock ‘n roll grit over time? Thank you! I didn’t have any vocal training or coaching up until about a year and a half ago. My vocal coach, Billy Trudell, is amazing. He really taught me how to use my voice. What’s the concept behind your recent music video for “Hard To Tell”? What was the filming process like? We really wanted to make as big of an impact as we possibly could with our first video, and we think the finished product really emphasizes that. We knew we just wanted the band rocking out --  not necessarily having a storyline, but letting the band and the song speak for themselves.  We also knew we wanted it shot in downtown LA. When we were filming, we tried to get a variety of different angles and locations to go with the dynamics of the song. Sam’s dad, Andy Edelman, directed the video and he and Scott Di Lalla were the DP’s on it. Niko’s dad, Eddie Nicholas,  was the first AD, and it was awesome to have Chris Scheer edit it. We are super stoked about how it came out. What can you tell us about your debut EP “No Control”? “No Control” is the product of two years worth of sculpting these songs and our sound that we’re so proud of. We worked closely with our amazing producer, Brent Woods, who helped us tremendously in developing the arrangements and the tones, while still respecting our thoughts and ideas -- he truly wanted our vision to shine through. We sent it out into the world hoping for others to be affected by our work. Connect with Mess Of Wires on social media: www.Facebook.com/messofwiresband www.Instagram.com/messofwiresband #BuzzMusic

  • Get A Taste Of Electro-Soul Brilliance In “Desperate Electric” By Dash

DASH is a progressive electro-soul duo, consisting of bassist and vocalist Kayti Korte, along with multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer, Ben Morris.  Formed in February 2018, the vocal powerhouse duo aimed for a full band sound rooted in rock 'n roll, soul, and funk. The pair focuses on vocal-centric, dynamic songwriting, with the sound to back it up. Combining elements of electronic dance music with traditional soul and rock, DASH fuses electronic percussion and synthesizer with live guitar, bass, keyboard, and their signature vocal harmonies. Dash’s EP “Desperate Electric” is out now and truly showcases the duo’s ability to perform. Titled track off the EP, “Desperate Electric” features an incredibly refreshing set-up, the song has elements of R&B about it in terms of being memorable and subtly catchy, but it authentically tips its hat to the soul offerings of a simpler time. The harmony and performance undoubtedly guide this, moving skillfully and passionately throughout the song’s various moments and thoughts. The rise up from softness to grit is sensational, showcasing an artist completely lost in the moment. That kind of raw intensity is rare these days, but it’s absolutely the sort of thing that captivates an audience. It draws you in with its purity and power, relating to listeners in a poetic and uninhibited fashion. “Desperate Electric” is a beautifully compelling and addictive song, from a duo with an undeniable talent and love for the art form. Listen to “Desperate Electric” here and keep scrolling for more with Dash! Welcome to BuzzMusic Dash! Can you tell us a bit more about yourselves? Thank you! DASH was created in February 2018 as a four piece rock 'n roll band. It was and has always been a channel for Ben and I (Kayti) to write music together. We both came out of other projects and wanted the freedom to write and perform our own music. The goal with DASH from the get go was to get out on the road and tour and create as much music as possible. Our very first album that we released has the original rock band sound that we started with. In January we first made the transition to an electronic based sound, following up our winter tour with our EP ‘Desperate Electric’. In June we made the transition from 3 and 4 piece rock band to the electro soul duo that we now tour as. What’s the writing process like for your duo? It varies! We both write songs and I think we approach each one differently. Sometimes Ben has a melody in mind, or some lyrics, or a guitar riff and we go from there. Other times I’ll have lyrics and a melody and we work it that way. Sometimes we’ll make a beat and write over it, based on that aspect. I think it’s one of the ways we continue to write fresh material, us both working collaboratively and bringing ideas to the table every time, with no expectation of “this is the way we have to write a song”. Who are your biggest inspirations musically? What makes you both so passionate about music? We both have always listened and connected with a wide variety of music. Neither one of us has ever been very genre specific. Kayti- I’ve always loved pop music, but growing up in Montana I listened to a lot of classic rock and classic country. I just love a good song and believe you can find that anywhere. My personal background in music is mostly classical. When I was 12 I got really into classical and choral music, studying that through high school and college. It’s just something I’ve always done; sing, and perform. Ben- From a really young age I was incredibly fascinated with music. I started playing piano at 7 and guitar at 9. I was in my first band when I was 11. I’ve always taken a lot of influence from classic bands like Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. They’re still some of my biggest influences today, but like Kayti said, we both listen to everything under the sun, and go through phases of listening to different genres and letting them influence our songwriting, from heavy metal to jazz to hip hop. “Desperate Electric” is an awesome track! Can you tell the readers more about the meaning behind it? I (Ben) actually wrote Desperate Electric several years ago. It’s a song about infatuation and fascination, kind of the act of putting someone or something on a pedestal. Being blinded by your infatuation for someone, regardless of their flaws. When I brought the song to Kayti she (surprisingly) didn’t want to change anything about it. I love how it turned out. What's next for you going through the end of 2019? We’re headed back out on the road from September 18th to November 23rd. We’ll be touring from Montana to the east coast, then back to the Pacific Northwest. After that, we’re headed into the studio to record our second album! • Vealy Is Back With Another Captivating Single “I’ll Miss You”

“I’ll Miss You” by Vealy brings in a notably revealing display of love and vulnerability. Vealy bares her soul in an uninhibited manner, while the delicacy of the music creates a ballad-like feel that draws your focus specifically to Vealy’s voice and her words. Moments throughout “I’ll Miss You” see the heart and soul of her performance really stand tall. Throughout “I’ll Miss You” you can hear Vealy dealing with the ways of the world and the feelings associated with relationships and experiences. She remains honest when it comes to love and what it does to us. The music and the lyrics work in unison to present this. Absolutely worth a few listens! Vealy is a pop and soul singer/songwriter born and raised in the Philippines. She has been singing since before she could read! She moved to the United States in 2013 at age 17. She became a registered nurse at age 20, and worked in the ER for an entire year while juggling her music career on the side. Eventually, she mustered the courage to quit nursing and follow her heart. Now here she is in Los Angeles, a full-time musician— writing original music, performing in local shows, even busking sometimes with her keyboard on Melrose Ave. Listen to Vealy’s latest single “I’ll Miss You” here and check out our exclusive interview below! Welcome back Vealy! For those who don’t know, how would you describe your sound and your approach to music? Hi BuzzMusic, nice to be with you guys again! Hmm.. I would describe my sound as "emotional fantastical pop". Haha, or something like that. I approach my music very instinctively especially now that I've been producing/arranging it-- and for some reason, I like instruments that add an element of not only journey and adventure, but also the nuances of a feeling-- like something is not 100% sad/depressing, it could be somehow joyous and hopeful! It wasn’t long since we’ve last featured your music! How do you stay on track to create relevant content so consistently? Yeah! Oh Strangeland was just released in July, and now I'll Miss You just got released! I think I stay on track with creating by staying hungry! Hungry for knowledge and experience. Creating Oh Strangeland was so fun that I wanted to do it again. I have a couple of songs already written in my journal, and so I thought I could rewrite some of them and produce them myself using the knowledge I learned from music production class and Phil (the best content creator and music producer in the game), who produced Oh Strangeland! What are your main aspirations as an artist going forward? Right now, I want my live sets to be more fun! I mean acoustic is cool, but I'm getting bored of just singing and playing my piano. Haha. Also, I want to find my audience on Spotify and grow my fanbase there! And of course, I will continue to release more music using new knowledge I'm gaining every day-- not just in music production, but also in marketing and promotion! Do you ever miss being a nurse? Not as much just yet! I'm having too much fun with everything that's new right now. It's kinda weird sometimes though when I just spurt out random nursing knowledge when friends ask something casual like "is Advil and Motrin the same?" or "Can I take Tylenol and Motrin at the same time?" Haha. Things like that. How does the songwriting and recording process compare to live performance for you? When I write songs in my room and record in the studio,  A LOT of editing is involved--- "Oh, this line could do better... or it's too vague" etc, etc. In the studio, if I don't like how I sound on a certain phrase, I can easily retake it, over and over again until I'm happy! Also, there are vocal effects that can help my vocals really stand out in the mix! Also, in the recorded versions of songs, I incorporate a lot of instruments... for Oh Strangeland, we had a harp in there, 2 drum kits, a violin, a viola and basically a backup choir of my vocal samples. For I'll Miss You, I had an accordion, a celesta, a guitar, harp, a rainstick!!! For my live shows, it's bare --- just me playing piano and my vocals! I would love to incorporate a little more of what's going on in the recorded version on to my live shows-- even having just drums while I play would be kinda cool! What other projects are you working on through the end of 2019? All I could say right now is I'll be releasing more music! Playing more live shows, growing my audience on Spotify! • Jesus Piece Talks With BuzzMusic On Latest Hit "Since I Got"

Welcome to BuzzMusic! "Since I Got" has many layers and different concepts. What’s the overall theme you were trying to achieve with this record? My overall theme I’m trying to achieve is the sound. Too many artist have the same concept and flow with their records.I approach every single differently and try my best to raise the standards. What do you hope your listeners take away from "Since I Got"? I hope my listeners like the sound and flow. It’s very different from what a lot of artist try independently  and mainstream. I already have the image and the sound in head before I even get in the studio! What sets you apart from other hip-hop artists in today’s music scene? What sets me apart from other artist is my hustle. Traveling from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia to Atlanta then my next show for PNB Rock in California. A lot of artist fake every aspect of their music and image. I’m doing shows across the country with no music video and one project with 3 singles! Most artist I’ve met that are very talented have a much lower fan base many mixtapes and videos. I’m very humble to achieve this already. We love the heavy beat in "Since I Got" , who produces your tracks? I have two producers I love and trust with my music. Justin Cinco he is an independent producer in my city of Pittsburgh. He also has traveled the country and produced for major artists such as Taylor gang themselves . My other producer Dayday he’s a a young and inspiring producer making noise from Little Rock,Arkansas. He’s my producer who travels with me across the country for my shows. I trust these two very much to master every aspect of my music! If you had to pick just one song in your collection to adequately describe your sound, which song would you choose and why? If had to choose one song to describe me it would be fuck it I did it because I’m really doing it. I’m really making money from my music. I’ve really got a fan base. • Alexandra DeMattia & Bryant Lamar Join Us On BuzzMusic To Talk About New Music!

Welcome to BuzzMusic Bryant Lamar and Alexandra DeMattia! how has it been performing around the coast of California? has the energy been inspiring for you as an artist? Alexandra: Thank you for having us! Performing is such a surreal feeling. There’s honestly nothing like it. It’s the biggest rush ever. It’s been so inspiring seeing people who know my music as well as those who don’t vibing to the songs. I feed off their energy. They make me even more hyped. Bryant: It has been awesome. I just did an event out in Oakland and the love and support was absolutely amazing. It feels good to be noticed and each show just confirms that I’m doing exactly I am meant to do. With your multi-faceted background in various instruments and musicality, how does this benefit your artistry today? Bryant: Being a music producer/engineer first has been a big advantage. Having spent years recording other artists and bands definitely allows me to diversify my sound, both in the studio and lends a hand to perform in different music venues. Where do you find most of your influence on your music Bryant Lamar and Alexandra DeMattia? Bryant: I see music as a movie, it’s honestly less about the music and more about the feeling. Alexandra: Things I am experiencing or have experienced in my own life. I love writing about life. What could be the most challenging aspect of writing a song and why? Bryant: Making sure the theme is consistent. Often times, especially in today’s music the first and second verse will be completely unrelated, which is ok sometimes but personally, I like to keep continuity at the forefront of my mind. Alexandra: I think for me, the most challenging aspect is trying to make each song better than the previous one. As I am new to songwriting, I think I put pressure on myself to make it better every time. Are there any environmental settings that help you write the perfect song? Alexandra: Oddly enough I always get my best ideas while driving. So I pull over and write my thoughts down. If not driving, also love writing with the lights off and candles lit. Bryant: The shower is my bread and butter. Like Alexandra, I also get songs while driving, but the shower is my time to sound as dumb as I want and no one say anything. What's next for you Bryant Lamar and Alexandra DeMattia? Alexandra: I have an EP coming this fall, a merch line, more shows and maybe even another song w/Bryant! Bryant: Features, features, features. Looking to feature on as many songs as possible, while simultaneously getting a better handle on marketing. And yes, I absolutely agree that another hit from Alexandra and I would be great. • Atlanta-Based Songstress Genesis Anatasia Debuts “Get To Know You Better”

A Cincinnati native now living in Atlanta, Georgia, Genesis Anastasia is living out her dream. One of the youngest of 7, Genesis has always had the largest personality of the family, even as a child. Growing up she loved to be the centre of attention, and her family loved to watch her. Starting at the mere age of 10, she began to go public with her gifts: reciting poems and singing at weddings, churches, benefit concerts, funerals, talent shows, and different community events. Genesis also loves to act, and as with many of her other talents, she decided to venture out and mix her two passions by being involved in musicals and stage plays. Although she has a heart for acting, Genesis’s first love is singing so she decided that it was time for her to write her own songs. She now writes songs of gospel, love, how to deal with real-life situations and anything else that inspires her. “Get To Know You Better” is an inspiring, confident, and soulful new single. Pouring through with an immediately likeable bounce of a beat, light and uplifting, “Get To Know You Better” goes on to entrance listeners with a swiftly memorable and infectious hook, and a subsequent series of vocals that prove increasingly impressive and quite addictive to listen to. The song’s hook is undoubtedly a huge selling point, Genesis’ powerful vocal works beautifully in drawing you over and holding you captive once you’re there. There’s a classic vibe to the song in many ways, but from a songwriting perspective, this hook and this beat undoubtedly underline something new and refreshing. The balance works well, nostalgia has its place and in this instance, it helps the song connect as well as showcasing Genesis Anastasia as an artist with a deep-running love for the art form. Listen to “Get To Know You Better” here and check out our exclusive interview below! Hi Genesis Anastasia! When did your passion for music begin, and what made you decide to pursue it creatively? Hi! My passion for music began at a very young age. I was just 4 years old when I began to show an interest in music. Thats actually when I sung my first song "Jesus Loves Me" and as a result of that, my mom ran out and bought my first karaoke machine lol. And that turned out to be the best gift that she's ever given me. I decided to pursue music creatively when I realized that I loved it and I needed it to be apart of my life. Its definitely an outlet for me and I feel my best when I'm emerged in it. What’s your creative process like? How do you begin when writing a new track, and do you ever struggle to come up with something you’re happy with? My creative process can be quit interesting lol 95% of my songs are free-styled. Now, let me explain what my free-styling process looks like. I'll enter the booth, then my producer will turn on the instrumental, I'll listen for a while, then I'll begin to record whatever comes to my mind in that moment. I let the music speak through me. That phrase may sound cliche to some but in this case, it is absolutely true. If during this process I hit a snag with my writing, I'll take time out to sit down and actually write lyrics. Tell us more about your single “Get To Know You Better”! What message did you hope to achieve with this track? So "Get To Know You Better" was a fun song to record. This song came purely from my heart and I got to display my "funky" side in it as well. So the concept came from ones inner thoughts when you see someone that you are attracted to. You may not verbally be able to express the way you feel but you can always fantasize about it lol. This is definitely one of my favorite tracks. What are your thoughts on mainstream music at the moment? At the moment, I feel that mainstream music in some instances all sounds the same. Now don't get me wrong,  I understand following the trends but I also believe in originality.  I believe that some of the greatest performers of all times aren't carbon copies. And that's what truly makes them legendary. What can audiences look forward to for the remainder of the year? Do you have any shows coming up, new releases or collaborations? I have a lot of things on the horizon. I'm coming out with a new music video very soon and I'll be dropping new singles for the remainder of the year. I can't speak on everything that I have coming up but stay tuned and it'll all be revealed. Don't miss out on the latest with Genesis & her music, access her socials below! Off of Brett 4EVR’s album “Summerslam 2” is the contagious track “Main Jawn”. This track blends an upbeat melody with a trap twist. “Main Jawn” starts out well-balanced, and continues to build in a refreshing way all throughout. There are moments of varied melody, beat refrain, and rap, that all help create something structurally intentional, yet still always rhythmically entrancing and connected enough to really envelop the listener. There’s a mild intensity and genuine passion to his vocal style and delivery, suggesting that Brett 4EVR displays authenticity within his music. Worthy production meets with subtle creativity, and a clear understanding of today’s hip hop landscape within “Main Jawn”. A truly impressive track from a bright up and coming artist! Give “Main Jawn” a listen here and read more with Brett 4EVR in our exclusive interview below! Hey Brett! Welcome to BuzzMusic! When did you first start making music? In what ways has your sound evolved over the years? I literally started writing lyrics and Hooks when I was 8 Years Old and at that time I didn’t know I had the skill for it until I was A Teen. Me and My Cousin Recorded Our voices and instrumentals on a “Talkboy” from Home Alone 2 Lol! In 2006 I recorded My first Studio song with My Group, “The Artful Advocates!” My sound Evolved from A hip-hop background. I used to rap like I was in G-Unit lol. Then I eventually branched off into my own thing. I used to have my own gogo band which influenced the current sound I display now. What can you tell us about your track “Main Jawn”? What do you hope your listeners take away from it? Main Jawn Could easily be on the Billboards Top 40 All Across the World! But I know This industry is (in the words of Jay-Z) “Politics As Usual.” I’m from DC but I made a track that has a Cali Vibe and can be played anywhere you wanna have a Great time! It’s a Party Track for the Clubs, Lounges, Kickbacks, Day Parties, Pool Parties, etc.I hope my listeners take away the fact that I can switch to any style!  Can exist in any realm of Music. You have to be able to be flexible when coming across an eclectic amount of music. I just have a knack for rhythms and grooves. What’s the songwriting process like? The songwriting process is A Rollercoaster lol. My emotion can determine A record. I like to Write outside the house and open my mind to a sunny day, clean air, and a Cool breeze! It’s more challenging to write in the winter time because it’s barely anything to do outside around that time because it’s cold. Sometimes I’ll write the ending of a song before the Beginning. I can start write a song in 2019 and won’t finish it until 2021. Not that I’m thinking about what to say for 2 yrs straight, but I could be working on 10 songs at one time...LITERALLY!!! What have been some of your proudest or most memorable moments in music so far? I’m all about Firsts!! Releasing my first Album “No Good Happens Before 12 Midnight”, Doing my first Music Video ever “U Ready” and My First Big Performance Ever was when I was an undercard for T.I. at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. Also the first time I put the Facepaint on Was a proud moment for me because it signified separation from mediocrity and an introduction to my own originality. Does your creativity manifest itself in any other way? All the Time! Whatever I want life to be, it becomes. I have a connection to the Universe that allows me to tap into my spirit to create my own matrix! A lot of things in this world don’t make sense which leads me to travel into other dimensions. I think deeper than the average person which often leads to Manifesting things in life that I thought I could never. I speak my own LIFE into existence. And everything you see from me, is everything I imagined and spoke of. Get to know more on Brett 4EVR as an artist via his socials below! Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic
