Eddie Silver emanates the attitude and swagger of a true golden age rockstar possessing a magnetic charisma and strong songwriting abilities. In constant pursuit of his dreams he has travelled the globe touring and playing with various bands, until fatefully the winds of fortune took him to Toronto, Canada where he met band mate Matt Mio. In mid 2018, Matt and Eddie formed a two-man alternative rock and pop band named TANTRiX. Eddie is the lead guitarist and vocalist and Matt is the drummer and backup singer. Since the band’s forming in 2018, TANTRiX have self-produced an 11-song album which is scheduled for release in January 2020. On top of all this their cunning abilities to blend genres will have you scratching your head in nostalgic wonder as you try to pinpoint what famous acts inspired the band’s songs, leaving you with a lasting impression (especially if you can’t quite put your finger on it)! “We Become One” pays nods to classic rock and real rock n roll. Whether that’s through music or their spectacular lyricism, they curate unforgettable and timeless classics. Check out “We Become One” here and keep scrolling for more with TANTRiX. Hey TANTRiX! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you start by introducing yourselves to us? How did TANTRiX form? We are a pop-rock duo from Toronto, Canada. The band consists of lead singer-guitarist Eddie Silver and drummer-singer Matt Mio. We ended up meeting a couple years ago at a mutual friend's birthday party and instantly hit it off because we shared the same passion for music and liked the same artists. We met at a perfect time because Eddie was looking to start a new project after leaving his old band and I (Matt) was fresh out of a private college for music production and artist management looking to begin producing for a band. We organized a few jams and the rest is history. What are the lyrics in “We Become One”about? What do you hope your listeners take away from this track? We as a band believe that there isn't just one answer to what our songs and lyrics are about. We prefer to keep our lyrics somewhat vague, ambiguous, or cryptic during our writing process so as to leave our songs open to interpretation. We feel that art is meant to be viewed differently by each individual and we really enjoy hearing from fans how our music inspires them or what it makes them think about. "We Become One" to me (Matt), is loosely about breaking free from an old pattern of habits or thought and becoming a new, more enlightened person. I also think that the song is a bit about wanting to share deeper connections with those that matter to you. Ultimately, Eddie and i hope that our listeners each take away something unique and meaningful from listening to our song(s). What’s the overall theme of your upcoming album? Just like our songs, our album doesn't really have an overall theme or meaning. All the songs on the album were created over the period of a year or so, and in that year Eddie and i both grew as individuals quite significantly. Our tastes, musical interests, and knowledge on producing music expanded greatly and our album reflects this. All of our songs are rooted in classic rock which Eddie and i were both heavily influenced by when growing up. We experimented with fusing other genres we appreciate like pop, punk, and R&B with our classic rock roots to create a very diverse, yet sonically coherent album. Can you tell us about the Toronto music scene? In a nutshell the Toronto music scene is very diverse, competitive, and extremely 'cliquey' or socially segregated. Toronto is a very ethnically diverse city which allows for a huge scope of live entertainment to go check out. Most musicians and music fans in the city tend to group socially by the genre they most listen to. There is very little likely hood if you were to go see a rock act that you would run into someone from that scene at say a hip hop or punk show. Likewise, if you typically hang out in the punk scene for instance, it is very hard to start making friends and business connections in another scene like the indie rock scene because established social cliques in each scene can be standoffish to outsiders or those that they don't know. On top of this, there is an over-saturation of musicians in the city, all looking for gigs and trying to establish a name for themselves in the industry. Bands are quite reluctant to help support other bands of the same genre and are likely to step on each others toes to get themselves better time slots for playing as well as getting gigs at good venues. From a band's perspective, Toronto definitely has a dog-eat-dog kinda music scene and navigating it can definitely be a bit of a rat race. There are many good and bad things that come with such a diverse music scene in a major metropolitan city. How do you feed your passion for making music everyday? Eddie and I feed our passion for music by constantly practicing the material we have written to better our live performance skills, continuing to write new music, expanding our musical influences by listening to new bands as well as genres we don't typically listen to, and going out to see live shows. - Howlin Circus Brings An Indefinitely Loud Testimony With “Run The Wrong Way”
Leaving the UK immediately after Brexit, Howlin Circus is a British-Canadian rock band that we can’t get enough of! The group sought out to work on their debut album in Toronto, bringing a sense of urgency and passion to the project. “Run The Wrong Way” captures the vulnerability, the anger and desire needed to produce a memorable rock and roll debut. Released March 22, 2019 through British DIY label Big Sister Records, “Run the Wrong Way”was mixed by renowned Canadian producer Brian Moncarz (Our Lady Peace, Moneen, The Trews), and mastered by Joao Carvalho. Title track from Howlin Circus’ debut album and hard-hitting single, “Run The Wrong Way” is a heavy and timeless rock hit. The energetic intro and flawless delivery take the listener on a retrospective and alluring journey. The pounding, driving rhythms showcase the heart and ambition these guys put on full display for their audiences. All about going against the grain, making your way, and an unapologetic anthem “Run The Wrong Way” is a force to be reckoned with. The British-Canadian rock band Howlin Circus have sparked a fire to both change and galvanize the world we live in. Bringing us back to a sense of comfort, community and acceptance, they aim to put an end to our current disconnect. “Run The Wrong Way” is ferocious, ravenous and an overall gem. It’s a welcome new addition to the rock scene today. Howlin Circus brings raw energy and an indefinitely loud testimony to the magic of the underground scene and we can’t wait to see what they deliver next. Listen to “Run The Wrong Way” here and read more with Howlin Circus below! How did the band come to fruition? The three of us came together a little like carnies escaping to join the circus. I left my hometown of London, UK a day after the Brexit vote and ended up in Canada. I met Adam (drums) in Toronto just as he was looking to start up his own band and get away from jamming with hobby musicians in his hometown of Burlington. Adam and I started recording some songs in this old church in Chatham, Ontario - it was around that time when a mutual friend introduced us to Bryan (bass). He'd just returned to Toronto after basically being homeless for months travelling around the East Coast of Canada. I already had around 10-15 songs by then so we got ourselves a studio space and started working on those together. How did moving to Canada affect who you are as an artist? I guess the timing of when I left the UK was interesting. I'd been keen to get away for a while and get away from the noise of Brexit. When your name is Jafar and you hear the way the media and powerful politicians talk about Muslims, othering people constantly because they or their parents weren't born in a white European state, it's hard to find a sense of belonging even in the place you were born in - even in the place you called home for so long. I don't think I've necessarily found that in Canada but it's got me writing about the traumas and the joys that connect us all during these strange days. What’s the meaning behind your track “Run The Wrong Way”? How do you want the listener to feel when they hear it? I started writing it in London. I felt anxious about the state of the world, where things were headed and what it meant to be othered. I'd felt this pressure to ride along pleasantly with the establishment, with the idea that everything's fine and that you've simply got to play by these rules to be happy or successful or whatever the fuck that means. I thought fuck that and I hope that's how people feel when they put it on. What overall theme does your album “Run The Wrong Way” hold? Finding a sense of place, a belonging. It's structured in that way from start to finish. The opening song Refugee Road kind of establishes this notion of having no choice but to leave, and from then it takes you on a journey through these strange and dark times. For example Let Your Love Burn Out was inspired by the advent of dating apps and general online relationships - how they spark up and burnout in an instant because you can just follow someone's butt selfies forever without having to ever talk to them again. Your Light Keeps On is that hope in the face of loss and finding out that deep down love does exist no matter how big that void seems at the time. But we had a lot of fun too - Love Can Wait is a Christmas song for fuck's sake. It's even got sleigh bells! Make sure you check out Howlin Circus' socials below for updates on releases and shows! - LowKeyyTM Is Back With Visuals To Match Another Hit, “Turning”
LowKeyyTM is back with a new single ready for us to vibe to! We took a listen to his track titled “Turning” and this resonated with our mood and showcases LowKeyyTM's aesthetic perfectly. It was an emotionally convicted single that had a urban trap production to the beat while maintaining the passionately driven projection in the vocals. LowKeyyTM reminds me of the nostalgic hip-hop stylings of artists like Lil Peep. He knows how to create an impact with his music due to how so many people can relate. LowKeyyTM gave us highly relatable lyrics with catchy punchlines and a soulful melodic delivery. LowKeyyTM knows how to keep his listener on the path of different melody arrangements and dimensions to the song. “Turning” is a straight-forward punch to your emotions while keeping its versatility intact. If you’re longing for a single that you can simply vibe to, then “Turning” is that record for you. It’s great for seeking vulnerability through music. Any major changes? Hey everything has been going pretty goodz! Have had some ups and down but that won’t stop me! For major changes as an artist I feel like i have developed extremely over the year with my voice and writing! “Turning” seems to have a strong lyrical message behind the the song. What was the meaning of this record? The meaning of Turning is for me is that I’m just trying to chase my dreams and achieve my goals without being to distant from others. With that it’s busy working everyday and doing music, sometimes I don’t have time for people who mean a lot to me so I don’t want to disappear or think I don’t care for them. What was the most challenging aspect in writing “Turning” for you LowKeyyTM? I think the most challenging part was trying to fit the whole “don’t turn you’re back on me” message. I wanted to to mention relations that I have and also how I’m thriving for my goals without losing people who mean the most. In what ways were you able to personally relate to “Turning”? I’m personally able to relate to the whole song! As I wrote for myself and for others who feel the way same. People who scared to loose the ones they love and sometimes don’t alway pay attention to the little things. 5. Anything we can look forward to from you this fall? Yes many things! I’ll be releasing more singles on Spotify and Apple Music and I’ll be dropping a few EP's/singles on SoundCloud throughout the year! On September 13th, KVNE is dropping his new project “CATHARTIC”, which I’m happy to be apart of! It’s truly an unreal project and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the year will be for myself and the rest Stay connected: www.instagram.com/lowkeyytm www.facebook.com/Lowkeyytm #BuzzMusic

Stay on the lookout for R.A.W. ROC & WildSense! Listen to “You Can Put This On Your Timeline” here and read more with R.A.W. ROC & WildSense below! Hi R.A.W. ROC & WildSense! Welcome to BuzzMusic, what do you think sets you apart in the music industry today? Honestly we are not looking to do things like the industry. We do not aim to please one sub gene either. We want to do some things out of the box. Not your typical hip hop stuff. We are doing ourselves for real. No gimmick, nothing made up in a meeting. We could go into more detail about that , but we don’t want to give to much away at this time. We are not about just telling our story, we want our fans to advance with us, we want to be that friend like Mary ! What do you hope your listeners take away from your music? We want our listeners to be able to ride, chill , bbq , slap bones etc. Its like vibe music, we want you to be able to get that negative off, so you can get back on yo mission. What are your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop? It needs to get back to it’s roots. Everyone is a Gangsta? Everyone is so this or that. Where is the individual? Where is the difference? There is some rappers out right now , who are way better than 15 who stay in public eye. We believe you really must have a purpose or really love hip hop to stay in it. The majority of people only listen to what is said to be hot, not even thinking about what is said. We really don’t want those types of fans. If people do us that way, fine whatever, it happens. It will be cool as long as someone was moved the way we are moved by some artist who said something that helped us or changed our perspective on life. Hip Hop needs its roots. Let’s talk about your track “You Can Put This On Your Timeline”! What inspired this song and what was the writing process like? It was inspired by real life events and situations. People have a tendency to talk about or reflect their feelings on social media. Not knowing whom, nor what they are talking about. Pretending to be friends on a social level that doesn’t exists. Not all people, are that way though, so we try to express a well rounded point of view. Recording this song was a simple process of work and getting this rust off myself (R.A.W. ROC aka Signature). For WildSense it was chipping away the newish vibes, he is getting use to being recorded. What’s next for R.A.W. ROC & WildSense? A lot of things are in order for us. We are getting more and more radio play, and real talk, you just have to keep listening cause we have video’s coming, mixtapes, and extra craziness for your environment. Like we said, can’t say to much right now. Connect with R.A.W. ROC & WildSense on social media www.facebook.com/RAWROCWildSense
- Check Out The Brand Indie-Pop Ballad “Pleasure And Pain” By Zach Seals
Zach Seals is a singer/songwriter originally from Baltimore currently studying at Berklee college of music in Boston. He makes bold indie pop power ballads and sad anthems that you can twerk too.At only 21 years old, Zach Seals is preparing to release his debut EP “It Was Never That Deep". Zach Seals track “Pleasure And Pain” is the first release from his upcoming EP! “Pleasure And Pain” is just about as fitting a title as can be for the music and the songwriting that unfold when you press play. The song has a simplicity about it that leaves the vocal performance and the lyricism laid very bare and honest at first, the focus is on the voice, the melody, the words and the feelings behind it all. Fortunately for us, Zach’s sound satisfies in every possible way, even when presented in such a raw and vulnerable manner. The song at first strikes as a very classic pop or piano ballad through the instrumentation and the melody that follows, accompanied by snippets of beautiful harmonies, has a very ballad-like and nostalgic mood to it. However, the longer you listen, the more the music strikes as something much bigger. With every moment that passes you are drawn further and further into the emotion and the power of the song. Zach Seals’ performance and writing style shine with beautiful brightness throughout this track “Pleasure And Pain”. Check out the track here and stay on the lookout for Zach Seals! - We're Getting a Variety of Vibes With Weston Wold's "Barely Breathin'"
Weston Wold curates music that is in tune with the refreshing vibe of pop culture today. Receiving heavy elements similar to the sounding of Charlie Puth and Panic at the Disco, Weston Wold is emerging into the music scene with an interesting and eclectic pop sound. Incorporating an intriguing tone throughout his music, Weston blends together many predominant pop vocals and rhythms in order to create music that is both catchy and meaningful. Weston's most recent work has been his album "White Noise" which was released early 2019. Weston seriously made an impression on us with his latest album, and we believe his artistic abilities are showcased incredibly throughout every track. Throughout "Barely Breathin'" we receive an eclectic array of vocal aspects from Weston. As an artist, he's able to integrate a playful melody at some points, and then transitions into a more mature and heavy-hitting sound at others. We're drawn to the presence of Weston, and especially the presence he's able to maintain throughout his tracks. There is never one track that we didn't vibe with, and he definitely surpassed our expectations on "Barely Breathin'". We're drawn to the authentic and honest sound of Weston. We loved how real his execution is, and the insane notes he's able to reach with his vocalism. His voice will glide across your ears effortlessly. Weston Wold is genuinely a vivacious and confident Hip Hop/Rap artist that's going to make serious waves within the music community. Watch out for this one! Give a listen to "Barely Breathin'" here, and continue reading for our interview with Weston Wold! Hey Weston! We're excited to be showcasing your music on BuzzMusic! Please tell our readers a bit about yourself as an artist! I grew up in northern Minneapolis and have been singing my whole life, but really didn’t think seriously about pursuing it as a career until my sophomore year of Highschool. I had recently started a band with a couple classmates and we did small gigs at coffee houses in the local area and special school events. Around the same time I began writing my own music. Originally I had no Idea what would end up happening with those songs, but I just wanted to write. I did this until my Freshman year of college when a friend of mine told me he wanted to help me record a few songs. This is where Congratulations on your latest album "White Noise"! How was the overall curation process of the album? The album took me about a year and a half to create. I had many moments where I wanted to give up and just be done with the whole project due to stress and just being unsure about the songs we were writing. I absolutely loved the recording process, but it was mentally taxing. I constantly poured myself into the lyrics recordings to produce the best songs possible. Now that the album is out, I am so happy that I didn’t give up. The reaction I’ve gotten by fans and friends has blown me away due to how they’ve responded to a lot of the problems I put in my songs. It taught me that no one has to struggle alone in whatever they may be dealing with. What was the overall theme of "Barely Breathin'"? What kind of atmosphere did you intend to create for your listeners? Barely Breathin’ was made to tell the story of a couple that is having issues with their relationship. In modern music and pop specifically, there’s so many break up songs that tend to be negative emotions. Barely Breathin’ shows that even though you struggle, you can always fix things if you put in the effort. I wanted to show my listeners that just because something isn’t going well doesn’t mean you should give up. How does your music personally effect you as you an artist? My music is a representation of me. Every song has to deal with something that I have dealt with or something that a close friend of mine has dealt with. Writing these songs has been a way for my to express my emotions and hope that my music impacts people the same way that artists like Jon Bellion, and Alec Benjamin have Affected me. What's next for you and your music?! Any upcoming performances to showcase your latest album? I have my debut concert in Minneapolis on August 17th where I will be opening up for Grayson DeWolfe. On August 24th I will be performing at the Minnesota state fair. I have multiple songs in the works that I hope to release in the early part of next year if everything goes well! Be sure to catch up with Weston via his Instagram! #BuzzMusic
- Cortezzz Puts His Heart On Display In “Anything”
Mikey Cortez, better known by his professional name Cortezzz, is an emerging singer/songwriter hailing from New Jersey. He has been able to capture his audience by using events from his past to add relatability in his lyrics and outstanding vocal tone. Teaching himself to play guitar and bits of piano, Cortez eventually fell in love with the art of creating and performing. Out now is Cortezzz’ debut EP titled “The Heartbreak Kid” which includes his most personal story-piece single “Anything”. With the amount of passion and precision this artist can manifest, there’s no telling where his story will take him. Cortezzz pours his heart out on this latest release, riding the beat like a wave, showcasing freely meandering vocals and loving lyrics. “Anything” is a smooth and impressive new single, from an artist far from unafraid to express himself honestly. Cortezzz’ vocals on this track fall into the softly soulful side of things, fusing a hint of soul with a mellow R&B aura, his silky voice weaves its way through the dedication and loyalty at the heart of the song, working as hard as the words to seduce and embrace the significant other in question. While there’s a certain simplicity to the set-up, Cortezzz makes the most out of the moment with a performance that sounds authentic. There’s a genuine lightness in the tone, a sense of love and appreciation in the way he handles the melody; he controls the tune, not the other way around. Flashy effects and multiple instrumental layers are not needed, Cortezzz’ natural confidence and skill result in an expressive delivery that more than carries the underlying sentiments through in a believable and open way. In a world full of volume and unnecessary quirks designed to grab attention, songwriting and smooth, pure performances such as this have the ability to stand out and make a difference thanks to their realness and the clear talent at their core. “Anything” is a humble and beautiful release, a moment well captured. Things are heading in a strong direction. Hopefully there’s plenty more music on the way from Cortezzz! Listen to “Anything” here and read more below in our exclusive interview. Hi Mikey! Welcome to BuzzMusic. What can you tell us about “Anything”? How did it come to be, and what does it mean to you personally? Thank you for having me! Well, what can I say about “Anything”? The song is a brainchild of mine that was basically a love letter to an ex-girlfriend of mine at the time. I pretty much wrote it in attempts to get her back. And as crazy as it sounds I feel that the reason this song is so successful at the moment is because of its relatability to the world as well as the lyrics which are super personal. Heartbreak is always amazing inspiration to use in music! As sad as that may sound haha. What do you hope to bring to the music world with your own releases over the coming months and years? I’m really just looking forward to using music as a platform to share my love for the art of performance and creativity. But I also have a niche for giving back to my communities around me. Whether it is educating the kids about expressing themselves through all types of arts or even doing fundraisers and charity events. There’s a unique vibe to “Anything”, alongside a contemporary pop/R&B twang. Who or what would you say has influenced your approach to music the most over time? I would definitely have to say that some of my biggest influences on approaching music would be artists like Boyz II Men, Prince, Michael Jackson, The Beatles and especially Freddy Mercury. There are definitely so many more I can name but those are the most influential to me. My dad definitely had a huge impact on me musically. Now that guy has amazing taste in music! If you could work with anyone at all, past or present, who would you choose – and why? Oh, this is a hard question for sure. There are a bunch of people in mind but I would most likely have to pick Michael Jackson! I’d pick him simply because his legacy is unmatched and I would really love to get his perspective on what music means to him, as well as what it was like growing up in his position as a superstar from such a young age. Is live performance an important part of your plans? If so, what can audiences expect from a live show? Live shows are absolutely one of the biggest factors to my game plan in my career as a performer. My audience can definitely expect great energy and connection from my shows. I try and interact with my audiences in fun and different ways every time I perform. You can expect some really intimate and fun acoustic sets in the future as well! Catch up with Cortezzz on his upcoming releases through his socials below! Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic

What do you hope to bring to the music world with your own releases over the coming months and years? I bring originality back to hip hop, it’s hard to find a rapper that can dress like me or even look like me with drip like mines. I plan on being at the top of the charts real soon. I also plan on making the XXL freshman class for next year. There’s a unique vibe to “How 2 Party”, alongside a contemporary hip-hop vibe. Who or what would you say has influenced your approach to music the most over time? I’m a true southern boy...I was influenced by Gucci Mane, Migos, Young Dolph, Peewee Longway. I just really made my own style to set the trend for artist that will come after me. If you could work with anyone at all, past or present, who would you choose and why? I would wanna work with Gucci Mane and Young Dolph...because our styles are similar as far as the people that listen to my music and I feel like it would be a great look. Is live performance an important part of your plans? If so, what can audiences expect from a live show? Live performances are really not my top priority, I focus more on my numbers and my brand. But when I do perform I give the people their money worth. Connect with Yff Pedro via the artists Instagram! #BuzzMusic
