Welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you start by introducing yourself to our readers? How did you know you wanted to start making music? My name is Monternez "Emcee Monte" Rezell. I am from the south side of Chicago. I am a hip hop artist that loves to create and make art that will have a positive influence on the world! Growing up singing and dancing with my mom and brothers around the house, listening to the music my mom played and rapping all my favorite rap songs as a kid was the spark that lit my musical fire. “Rock Steady” is a dope track! What inspired it? Can you dive into more detail about the lyrics? Rock Steady was inspired by the passing of my grandmother and the legacy of Aretha Franklin. My grandmother was an amazing singer, she sounded just like Aretha Franklin when she sang. She passed away 3 days before her birthday and it inspired me to write a song that would serve as therapy to me and other people that may need it. Music is therapy, dance is therapy, the song "Rock Steady" encourages listeners to keep moving forward, to keep dancing, shake off the bad times and to fight when life is rough. Aretha passed 1 week after my grandmother and to me, that was a sign to honor them both. The lyrics "Feet to the floor, head to the sky/ sometimes you gotta dance just to get by" encourages listeners to keep their head up when times are hard and that sometimes to have to release by dancing. "something ain't going right, shake it off to the treble" "When your head is not clear cuz times get heavy/ rock beats rock floors rock rhymes like rock steady" encourages listeners to find solitude in hip hop. Hip Hop has kept me on a straight path in my ways. "rock beats" refers to making beats as a producer or playing beats as a DJ. It can also refer to dancing, top rocking to the beat. "Rock rhymes" refers to rapping. Rapping and writing songs can help to express the pain you heal and release it in a positive way. "Rock Floors" refers to dancing on the dance floor, I breakdance to express and release and explore and have fun. "This is dedicated to the Queen of Soul" aka Aretha Franklin. "This is dedicated to my grandmother...I'm sad to saty that she passed away, just 3 days before her birthday" is the line that tells why I wrote this song, what I was dealing with at the time and who it is dedicated to. But, the song is not meant to be sad, it is a celebration and a dedication to two amazing women. "Both had a special gift from the creator? when my grandma sang, she sounded just like Aretha"... Even though loss hurts, I choose to dance and sing and rejoice as I honor the memory of these women. "Gotta stay strong, you as solid as a rock/ no matter how hard it gets, you can't stop" gets to the underlining message of the song. Times are hard, life is rough and we have to overcome obstacles. We go through trails and tribulations but nothing can break you down, those things are not stronger than you! No mater what, you can not be stopped! What do you hope your listeners take away from your music? I hope that listeners hear my music and are inspired to dance, to think, to create, to live life to the fullest. I hope listeners are encouraged to follow their hearts and live out their dreams. I hope to reach and touch listeners in a positive way and give them hope so no matter what they are going through, they know the light always shines on the other side of darkness. What’s your writing process like? My process is very organic. I like to let it flow. I create songs in a few different ways. Sometimes I hear a melody in my head, sometimes I start by beatboxing a drum rhythm and laying that as the foundation to my beat. Other times I have a lyric or chorus in my head and I build the song around that. When I am really in the zone, I can write and produce a song in an hour or less. I work with my turntables, Mashine by Native Instrument, my keyboard, Fruity loops, Protools, and any random objects that I have laying around the house that inspires me. I often pick up objects and play around with them to see if I can record cool sounds or use them as percussion instruments. Who are your musical influences and how do they inspire you? Some of my musical influences are Common, who is my favorite MC and a Chicago native. Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def and Talib Kweli, Twista, Michael Jackson aka the Greatest! Stevie Wonder. The whole Motown movement, Earth Wind and Fire, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Outkast, Prince, Janelle Monae, Missy Elliot, Lauren Hil, Jill Scott and others. These artists are some of the best artists the world has ever seen and heard. They are not afraid to create and be unique. They are not afraid to make music that challenges the status quo. They are not afraid to make positive music that shines a light on the issues we face and offer solutions to solve them. They are great artist, rappers and singers, amazing songwriters, excellent performers and have changed the world and music as we know if for the better! - Stalker Kitty's "Grandma Sing" Will Put You In A Trance
Megan, going under the artist name of Stalker Kitty, is an inspiring artist that doesn't conform to a particular category of music. We love those kinds of artists that can curate any type of music, and as listeners, we aren't sure what they could come out with next! Stalker Kitty will first shock you with the amicable sound of her voice, and put you in a trance with the production of her music. Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Stalker Kittyinputs her experiences and most honest afflictions in her music, and you can really feel the authenticity of her music coming to life. Ironically, Stalker Kitty's music will make you feel rejuvenated in a way you might not have felt was possible. Her latest single "Grandma Sing" perfectly captures the essence she brings to music, and we can't stop listening to the track because of the serene environment it creates. The voice of Stalker Kitty in "Grandma Sing" is angelic. Stalker Kitty knows how to maintain a soft and pure voice throughout the song, and we melt into the tune of her voice. Stalker Kitty has that type of sound that is familiar and comforting. We listen to her track, and feel at peace almost immediately. Her voice has the kind of power in it that makes you feel like everything will be okay (and personally, that's one of our favorite kinds of music, where your stresses can be completely lifted off of your shoulders for a few brief minutes). Stalker Kitty is definitively creating a new kind of genre with her track "Grandma Sing". We want to say she's touching on indie and soulful elements, while integrating underlying elements of folk. The production of "Grandma Sing" can't go unnoticed, and it definitely doesn't for us. The blend of gentle and tranquil melodies in her song is what will make it stand out to any listener. We already know we need more of Stalker Kitty's music, and we're keeping our ears peeled for upcoming releases! Be sure to check out "Grandma Sing" here, and continue reading for our interview with Stalker Kitty! Hey Stalker Kitty! Can you start by introducing yourself to our BuzzMusic readers! Hi Buzzmusic Readers. I'm from the San Francisco, but I live in LA.I play folk in the mountains and grunge by the bay.I write love songs in winter and punk rock in May.But there's no sound that's sweeter than what I'm singing today. How did you choose your stage name? I was directing a short film called "Apocalypse Meow" about giant extra terrestrial felines, and everyone in our crew was getting these strange, threatening messages from a mysterious "stalkerkittyknows@gmail.com" I thought the whole situation was hilarious & genius, and I was forming a band at the time and I thought...that's the perfect name for my band. And the bubblegum grunge band Stalker Kitty came into being. But everyone started associating me with the nameStalker Kitty & the name just stuck. "Grandma Sing" was very serene and tranquil. We feel completely at peace when listening to your music. Is this the intended environment you attempt to create for your listeners? I can't say I attempt to create an environment or have any preconceived notions about a song before I write it. I try not to think too hard or judge or control the songs, they come out better that way. It's a wholly mysterious and spiritual process for me. But I'm glad you feel at peace! The process is transcendent for me and I hope that I can transfer that experience, of wherever I go, to my audience. "Grandma Sings" had a strong lyrical presence. Are you able to share more on the meaning of the song for yourself? It's about the passage of a person's life from the cradle to the grave. A lot of the lyrics come from things my grandma said, bits of wisdom she passed along to us, things she did, even superstitions. It's about dualism & the dark and light sides of life that exist in all of us. Life brings us joy & it brings us pain. We were born of joy and pain and we bring joy and pain into this world. We become dirty & then we are washed clean. It's about the loss of innocence and the gaining of wisdom. What's next for you as an artist? Any upcoming shows/releases you're able to share with us?! I will be performing original music at the Upright Citizens Brigade this Saturday 8/10/19 @ 9PM, and an improv troupe is going to be improvising scenes to the lyrics of my songs! I'm currently performing solo around LA, but I am in the process of putting together a whole new band lineup. I have a new single & video coming out called "Escape from Post-Modern Nihilism." Stay tuned. Connect with Stalker Kitty on social media www.instagram.com/meganlynnblanchard

We can’t wait for the full EP, “Tomorrow’s Mind”, set to be released late this fall! Listen to “Secrets” here and keep scrolling for more with KIA! Hi KIA! Welcome to BuzzMusic! How did you get started making music? What age did you begin performing in front of others? I guess music has always been around me ever since I was a kid. My parents are very musical. My father used to be a drummer and later on in life he picked up the tenor sax and still always plays the guitar till this day. My mom used to play accordion and later started the soprano sax. I joined an orchestra with my parents and brother when I was six, playing the French horn. I did classical guitar on the side so I’ve been performing ever since I was a young kid. I didn’t start singing until I was about 17 years old though. (If cassette-taping Lion King songs with my siblings at the age of four don’t count) I finished a Vocal Performance degree at a Performing Arts School in The Netherlands and right after that auditioned for the ArtEZ Jazz & Pop Conservatory in Arnhem, The Netherlands. I’ve been performing and writing a lot of music at that time. After four years I graduated my Bachelor of Music with honors and decided to move to Los Angeles. Right now I’m finishing up my Masters in Music for Vocal Performance specialized in Commercial Music. So roughly I would say I’ve been performing for the past 10 years as a vocalist. We love “Secrets”, it was very moving. What inspired this track? Can you tell us more about the meaning behind the lyrics? I like a good balance between songs that are direct and songs that have more of an atmospheric under layer. I absolutely love to play with metaphors as you can hear in this track. I get inspired fastest by my environment, so this song all started out with the ocean and the beach. I wanted to write something specifically about the subject ‘secrets’ that we all get confronted with in our lives at some point, in some form. It comes and goes and unfolds in the most unexpected ways, sometimes good and sometimes bad. At some moments you think the world is going to collapse while at other moments it can take a complete 180. Life just keeps moving forward. Do you try to incorporate your life experiences into all the music you write? Why? The beauty about writing is that it isn’t always all about what I’ve been trough. Yes, it is easier to connect to something if that’s the case and it serves sometimes as self therapy, but that is definitely not where writing stops. It could be about somebody else’s experiences it could be science fiction, the past, the future, you name it. Writing gives you total freedom to do whatever. As long as you feel your own connection to it and make it your truth, it’s sincere. We can’t wait to hear more new music from you! When can we expect your EP “Tomorrow’s Mind”? Right now I’m working really hard in finishing the album. My close friend Lars Hempel from Germany is producing the album and we’ve been going back and forth recording the tracks. If all goes well, it’ll be by the end of the fall. I already started writing new music for my second album too, so expect a lot of new material in these upcoming years. How has moving to LA shaped you as an artist? I moved to Los Angeles because of the freedom I felt when I did an exchange here in the last year of my undergrads. I was very focused and wrote a lot of music during that time. That’s when I decided to think bigger, leave everything and everyone I knew behind and move to this city with new opportunities. I always believe that with hard work you can get anywhere you want and therefore make dream boundaries thinner lines. This was nothing more than that, the next step in my music career. - Exclusive Premiere Here: SISI Drops Her Debut EP
SISI is an alternative R&B singer/songwriter that infuses dreamy, ambient synths and uses music as an outlet to mentally and emotionally free her. Her sound is inspired by the vocal fluidity and raw introspection of alternative R&B artists like Drake, Frank Ocean, and The Weeknd while invoking images of femme fatale / female power in the vein of Rihanna & Beyonce. Born in Massachusetts and raised in the Bay Area, Sisi was exposed to music at an early age, studying violin from the age of 6. At age 15, she wrote and produced several songs in English, Chinese and Japanese while performing at various community events, continuing to seek music opportunities while attending school. Two years ago, SISI moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music career further. Now dropping her debut EP, SISI has her foot on the gas and shows no signs of slowing down. Born in Massachusetts and raised in the Bay Area, Sisi was exposed to music at an early age, studying violin from the age of 6. Inspired by diva singers like Mariah Carey, Beyonce & Christina Aguilera, she became drawn to singing and performing. The first track on the EP titled “Views” showcases the refreshing artist SISI’s eclectic musical stylings. A smooth R&B piece, “Views” fuses contemporary pop and electronic synths to make this introduction a hit! It talks about SISI’s personal experience and ups and downs of love. The heart is always torn between the mind and the heart. “I’ve got my head in the clouds, but I want to come down” is a perfect lyric to describe the theme of this track because it explains how SISI’s mind is distracted, but she ultimately wishes she could smarten up. The EP transitions into “Let Go” and we’re instantly hooked, the heavily electronic track is hypnotizing and pure. The overall theme of the song is to “Let Go” and escape your day to day life. We as humans constantly crave connection, creativity and adventure and SISI herself in no exception. “Let Go” is an ambient track that highlight SISI’s genre-bending abilities. Next up on the EP is “Chess”, a lyrically deep single that focuses on how some aspects of relationships are just a game. SISI recites prolific rhymes through flawless lyricism and a surprisingly hip-hop delivery. She fuses dark synth pop with a trap beat the keep us hooked. With a spectacular music video to match, “Chess” has already seen nothing but success. Another music video that was released earlier this year is “Take Me”, a haunting R&B track with hard-hitting bass and a heavy and dark melody. SISI has continuously proven herself to be a diverse and experimental artist. “Take Me” is about the overwhelming and blinding feelings of desire, that ultimately take over our senses and mind. SISI’s debut EP ends with a song about self freedom and realization titled “All I Want”. The powerhouse vocalist starts the EP off to an incredible conclusion with her insane vocal register. SISI is the one to watch bringing seasoned piped and a vocal range that will blow you away."All I Want” is a truly spectacular, emotional and raw motif. It truly gives the listener a retrospective look into SISI’s emotions as she allows them to be on display in the most artistic way. This debut EP is sure to be an absolute success, SISI has the fan-base, talent, ambition and confidence to rise to the top. Her angelic vocals, emotive lyricism and polished musical arrangements make her an instant legend and the one to watch! Check out SISI’s debut EP here and red more below in our exclusive interview. Hey SISI! We love your debut EP! Can you talk about the overall theme of the EP? Thanks so much! The EP centers around themes of ego and power, and how these elements have played a huge role in my life. I’ve always been a really ambitious person, so the last 10 years of my life have been an internal struggle - wanting to reach an ideal, wanting to be in total control, always wanting to be the best. Sometimes ego was a good thing for me, other times it was harmful. There was a period of time where I started asking myself: is this all there is to life? And I realized that some of the qualities that made me externally successful were the same qualities that were making me feel empty and unsatisfied. Of course, there are some songs in the EP that relish in the idea of power hungriness, like Chess for example... it can be fun but ultimately you don’t want to lose yourself in it. To give a little background on each track: VIEWS is about being in the wrong relationship, but being blinded by the way it “looks” and “feels” on the surface LET GO is about the constant grind of ambition, and seeking release from the pressure CHESS is about women strategically taking power in a relationship, but treating the guy as dispensable. Almost like the player playing the player, although in real life that’s probably not healthy! :) TAKE ME is about power dynamics natural in sex (wanting to be desired vs. wanting to pleasure), though this is more of a guilty pleasure / fantasy song more than anything! ALL I WANT is basically about waking up. It’s the cathartic end to the EP, but also represents a new beginning. It’s about raw honesty, surpassing ego and finding freedom from within. What was the writing process like for this track? The writing process was actually very difficult for me, as this was my first original project and I was a singer before a songwriter. Additionally I was still trying to find my sound, I wavered between being darker vs. tropical/mid tempo. JR Keys, my producer and friend for many years, would typically come over to my spot and come up with musical concepts, while I tried to come up with melodies first, and then lyrics. I definitely thought too hard back in those days, and JR Keys and I had some longggg sessions where I struggled on a single line for hours. Ironically it was like the theme of the EP, I felt there was a PERFECT hook that I spent weeks trying to find, but the truth was I wasn’t letting go enough to feel it. It took us about 2 years and several rewrites before we finally came to a cohesive 5 tracks (not surprisingly, all our songs got darker). Nowadays, I literally write full songs in 2 hours max. So the last 2 years were basically boot camp! What do you hope your listeners take away from your music? I hope listeners will hear similarities to themselves and enjoy the self empowerment themes in the EP, but also recognize there is a fine line between arrogance and confidence. Ultimately, confidence and happiness is what we truly want. We all struggle with ego though, so it’s a never ending thing as we grow and evolve. What track on the EP would you say made you channel the most emotion when creating it? Definitely “All I Want.” I wanted this song to be an emotional pivot point in the EP, and used it to channel all the desperation that I’d felt over the last several years attempting to find a way out of my own darkness. I knew the darkness was self made, so I really had to push through my sanity to free myself from it and find something more. I hadn’t felt joy in a long time. These days, I’m relearning how it feels to let go and tune into my emotions. Do you have any upcoming events or shows you’d like to talk about? No shows yet, but I have a whole lot of upcoming music in the works, so make sure to follow me on Spotify and sign up for my mailing list! We're incredibly excited to showcase your debut single "Shoot Me Down". Tell our readers how the music scene has been for you since releasing your track? Thank you! It is great that you’re showcasing and supporting new artists. As a new artist releasing my first track, I was genuinely just excited to get ‘Shoot Me Down’ out there. The music scene is obviously massive and full of so many talented artists. The fans of your music are incredibly important, and I have found that Instagram is a great way to promote my music and build up a fan base. To some extent the success of your release is somewhat out of your hands. This is because you cannot anticipate whether someone will like or dislike your track. If your music is strong, if you promote it in the right way, then it will be listened to by the music industry. If someone really likes your music and brand, then they will be very supportive and help you on your journey. As an independent artist you need to have great belief in your music, be authentic and resilient. "Shoot Me Down" was very powerful and assertive. We loved the message behind the track. How was the curation process of the song? Where did you draw your insight from? I’m glad ‘Shoot Me Down’ connected with you. I was always obsessed with Nancy Sinatra’s track ‘bang, bang, I shot you down’. I also kept on listening to Flume’s ‘Never Be Like You’ as I really connected to the lyrics and found the chorus mesmerizing. I wanted to create a track that was lyrically dark but empowering and which was musically bold and a fusion of styles. In terms of my process I wrote the lyrics in one morning, then sat at the piano and played around with different chords that felt write. I recorded this on my phone then played it to the producer I was working with. He felt a connection to it, and we went from there. ‘Shoot Me Down’ is about the power play of opposites. I was inspired by the worlds of ‘yin and yang’ from my yoga practice and I wanted to recreate this. ‘Shoot Me Down’ is a journey from sorrow to strength, exploring the difference of perspective between two people and myself. The track fuses vulnerability and empowerment, exploring reaction and action. How exciting is it to be releasing your own music?! How has the feedback been on your single so far? It is very exciting to have released my own music! It is honestly one of the biggest achievements of my life so far. As an independent artist you are the driver of your own music, so to see if flourish is very satisfying. I have been really taken aback by the feedback from my single so far. Blogs have featured my music and been very complimentary, music industry professionals have supported and like my work, ‘Shoot Me Down’ has been added to exciting playlists on Spotify. What is more ‘Shoot Me Down’ has connected with fans who have joined me on my journey. What do you hope to accomplish within the rest of 2019 musically? Of course, it would be brilliant if ‘Shoot Me Down’ were chosen as the opening soundtrack for a Bond movie! But seriously I would love to see where ‘Shoot Me Down’ takes me. My follow up single is ready to release when the time is right. Where would be your dream venue to perform at? Have you ever performed in front of a live audience before? I love performing in front of a live audience. The O2 Arena would be amazing in terms of scale. For intimacy I would love to perform at ‘Sofar Sounds’ and they have them in every city across the world. Who knows what the future holds, watch this space! - Water5 And Duran Collab To Create Psychedelic Hip-Hop Track “Amsterdam”
Water5, Evanston, Illinois native and LA-based singer and songwriter. His music is generally soul and R&B, while he also naturally incorporates hip-hop and pop, top 40 and caribbean vibes. His musical influences include Maxwell, Sade, and Trey Songz to name a few. Music is a big part of Water5’ life, so much so that he began recording and releasing music early and often. Water5 took to the internet and other streaming sites this past year to show the world what he has to offer. “Amsterdam” is a contagious new track laced with heavy bass, flawless bars, and a catchy hook. Water5 paints a vivid picture in the listeners mind and takes us on a psychedelic soundscape through his music. Water5 is no stranger to success and knows that he’ll always hustle by any means necessary. “Amsterdam” weaves through a raw and honest storytelling anthem. I love the psychedelic sound arrangements. The addition of Duran on the track adds a refreshing twist! Stay on the lookout for Water5! Listen to “Amsterdam” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Hey Water5! Can you start by introducing yourself to our readers and telling us how you got started making music? I started writing songs when I was ten years old. I’ll never forget the day it started, while cleaning my room (one of my favorite pastimes) and listing to the jazz channel on the radio. Most of the songs didn’t have lyrics so I thought it was my job to add them. So I did, as a kid from a broken home & having had my big cousin murdered simultaneously, music is what I turned to to cope. Who are you top three musical influences? Why? Kendrick Lamar; because he is an excellent poet & story teller. I appreciate how he approaches every record as if it was throughout & planned. Frank Ocean; I think I like him for the same reason as Kendrick. There is just genius in his lyrics. Radio head; this band is incredible & they have really influenced me with their style in writing and music production. We love your track “Amsterdam”! What inspired this track? The idea came when I thought about living life to the fullest. I realized that I’ve experienced a lot of life & im grateful for it. The message is that no matter who you are or what you do in life, you can literally do whatever you want. The only thing stopping you is you. What do you want your listeners to take away from your music? saying goodbye is not an option. I wish for my music to be embedded in my listeners hearts & mind. I wish to make timeless music for them to grow old with & share with their children. What’s next for you Water5? 5 Ponds the album is next, I’m currently writing three other albums as well but 5 Ponds is a baby my team and I have been working on for the last 9 months, and it is for sure something I hope many can appreciate. Check out “Post Tragedy” here and read more below in our exclusive interview below! Hi KINTA! Can you start by telling us more about yourself and your upbringing into music? Right now I’m a 19 year old unsigned artist who is constantly trying to get better and grow more with music. I started off writing poetry at nine years old but first started creating music when I was 14, I mainly did it to mess around and express my thoughts while not being entirely serious because I would constantly train playing basketball to try and play in college. But after being diagnosed with a brain AVM and being deemed unable to play basketball at 17 I decided that it was time to take my music more seriously considering I was only planning on going to college to try and play basketball. But despite all the medical troubles I feel like it’s a blessing in disguise because I’ve always had a passion for writing poetry as a kid and always enjoyed creating music in high school, so now it is what I gladly focus almost all of my time doing. Who are you musical influences? Why? Lil Wayne has always been my favorite artist, his punchlines and cleverness is second to none. Lil Wayne is actually a big part of the reason I started writing poetry as a kid, constantly hearing him on the radio and hearing the carter 3 and 4 would always inspire me. Eminem would also be one of my top influencers due to the fact that he doesn’t hold back and is also never afraid to get personal and show people he’s able to drop bars whenever. What inspires your writing? I make music to express myself straight from the heart and I want to use my music to show people that it’s okay to express yourself whenever you feel any type of way no matter how bad it seems or how small it seems compared to someone else. We’re all human and we all feel something at some point and should be able to express those feelings without a doubt. What was the overall theme of your album “Post Tragedy”? What do you hope your listeners take away from it? The overall theme of “Post Tragedy” is to give people a personal perspective on my near death experience, my encounter with the harsh reality of fake love, and my overall state after the brain hemorrhage and disease diagnosis and how it changed me as a person. Furthermore, I hope listeners can get a good understanding about me and what I’ve dealt with through that album. What’s next for KINTA? As of right now I work a part-time job for steady income but I’m constantly writing music and plotting my next moves for music. I’m trying to find a way to contact record labels to have someone big listen to my discography and hopefully give me a chance to get to the next level. Meanwhile, I’m always connecting with new people locally and showing them my music to create a core fan base. Heavily involved in the arts, Emma finds inspiration through all sorts of creative outlets including photography, paintings, fashion, and anime. She released 2 independent tracks in 2019; “Procrastinator” and “Lilac”. In earlier years, Emma saw successes on mainstream radio with her self-written song “Stranger”. Emma Alves’ dark synth-pop “Lilac” features sultry bass and soft angelic vocals. “Lilac” tells a haunting melancholic story that gives us a retrospective look inside of Emma Alves’ emotive poetry. Simplistic yet stunningly diverse, “Lilac” can be interpreted in different ways. Emma Alves’ undeniably talented songwriting ability allows her to establish strong connections with her fans. To me, “Lilac” tells a story of adolescent struggle and uncomfortability. It’s empowering and self-aware all rolled into one track of musical brilliance. I'm so glad you guys like it! Over the past year, I've come to know who I am as a person, and who I want to be as an artist. I played the safe route and got a good nine to five job, but now am determined to put a higher priority on the things in life that I love. Lilac should be encouraged to interpretation though :) What do you hope your listeners take away from your music? Have you ever heard a song that moved you so strongly, you get butterflies in your stomach? I can only dream my music can do that for someone. I am constantly learning to push aside self-expectations and focus on the creative process. There are so many people in this industry, just be yourself. - Joe Daley Has Us Feeling Uplifted With Recent Release "Know It All"
As a self-taught musician and producer, Joe Daley is just the right kind of independent pop artist we were looking for! Joe Daley is the definition of authentic, and his music doesn't say anything less! As a young male integrating his refreshing sound within the musical category, Joe showcases his honest and crisp vocal dynamics in every single he puts out there. We definitively notice that Joe Daley has an ability to curate tracks that make us genuinely feel at peace, as his tone and vocal dynamics are incredibly raw--the sort we don't get enough of lately. The gruff accent to his music is what sets Joe Daley's musical creations apart from other pop artists. We love how Joe Daley doesn't have to try to acquire his listeners attention, as his voice and production quality demands it. Joe Daley's latest track that has us surging with euphoria, "Know It All", is out and available to listen to (preferably on full volume)! Joe Daley executes a loose and feel-good kind of vibe with his latest track "Know It All". It has that summer-like feel that creates that jubilant and uplifted atmosphere. The quality of Joe Daley's vocal production is phenomenal--he maintains an underlying raspy tone, blended with the carefree attitude that makes the song! The amount of talent that is surging within Joe Daley is truly showcased in "Know It All". There are hardly any imperfections integrated within the track, which isn't always the case with self-taught musicians AND producers. But Joe Daley really doesn't set out to disappoint with his music, and "Know It All" is undoubtedly the pop hit this summer needs! Give a listen to "Know It All" here, and keep reading for Joe's exclusive interview! What do you hope your listeners take away from your music? I don't have anything specific that I want people to take away. Music has a different impact on every listener. That being said, when I can see that something positive has happened in someone's life as a result of my music that's the most fulfilling thing for me. What would you say was the most important take-home message from "Know It All"? I didn't have a message in mind with Know It All. It's the first beat I ever made. I pasted verses together that I had written in freestyles over the last few months and just tried them out, wrote a melody and presto. I think it shows people a little bit osf what I'm about and I thought it would be a good first track. Who would you say has shaped your artistic journey thus far? How big of an impact has this person had on your life musically? I'd say the friends that I grew up playing music with and listening to music with definitely gave me the confidence to write songs and feel like I can put whatever I want out there. Learning instruments and making music with them showed me that if you want to you can just do it. What can we expect to see from Joe Daley in the rest of 2019? I have a lot of songs written and a lot of demos. It is just a matter of turning them into something that I'm satisfied with. Listeners can expect more singles in 2019 and the foreseeable future. Nothing is stopping me from putting out music but myself. I work alone, which can makes things slow but I'm going to keep putting out art that I love wether people listen to it or not, that's just who I am.
