  • Back And Better, KVNE Released “Ballerina”

KVNE is back! And we know he never fails to disappoint with his releases! He released his latest single titled “Ballerina” and this vibe will have you mesmerized! From previous hearings of KVNE music, I just knew he would deliver a song that will have me consuming every aspect of it. He has that flare to his artistry that turns you into a fan by instance. What I loved most about “ballerina” was how KVNE introduced the Spanish dialect into the arrangement of the song. This element spiced the record up a little bit more and made the song more infectious. The Spanish were smoothly executed in the delivery and lyricism, while still presenting a nice soulful RnB vibe. This was super dope and created the most memorable moment for the listener! KVNE writing style is inspired by life experiences, accompanied by his smooth R&B melodies and rumbling 808 trap percussion, KVNE undoubtedly demonstrates his versatility. With musical influences such as Tory Lanez, Post Malone, and Blackbear, his sound is catered to audiences across the board. “Ballerina” can resonate well with many of the contemporary R&B lovers & young audience of urban music while still remaining mature enough to reach an older crowd. This makes KVNE a well-rounded artist with a lot of potential of appealing to the GP market of music! Check out Ballerina here! Stay connected with KVNE on social media! • Holly Releases A True Slow Jam On Latest Release: ‘Don’t You Break My Heart’

If Dick Clark were still alive and hosting American Bandstand (I know we’re 30 years too late), these guys would be booked and have its audience hooked! Holly brings us a soulful, timeless and touching rock n’ roll slow jam on their latest release ‘Don’t You Break My Heart.’ The brass horns sound like an opening of a traditional swing song, the lead singer swoons with his soulful and attractive voice, the rhythmic riff-based guitars come in and out at just the right time and the percussion drive a steady back beat to round out this track. ‘Don’t You Break My Heart’ was made for slow dancing; the American Bandstand style (hands on hips, hands on shoulders) so you and your love can look deeply into one another’s eyes feel the lyrics and the moment. Holly brings us music that is reminiscent of years of the past where the northern soul saw Motown rule over Chicago to Detroit through the 50s and 60s. What differentiates Holly from a blast from the past style band is there modern take on the music they create. By adding a sweet, beach & soul vibe to their rock and roll background. Leon Bridges, Whitney, Wilco, Tame Impala and Sam Cooke lend inspiration to a group that originally picked up their instruments to the tune of alternative garage bands. Their distinctive sound crosses genre barriers and introduces one of the most inspiring and premier acts coming out of Chicago today. Experience Holly’s soul today and check out the link to release ‘Don’t You Break My Heart’ today. Greetings, and thank you for taking the time to speak with us a BuzzMusic. Can you start by telling our readers a bit about yourselves? We're a 5-piece alternative set from Chicago. We draw a lot of our influence from old school school soul music but we also draw on a wide array of modern artists and influence to incorporate in our music. We'd also like to add that we're weirdos who tend to be more active and tour more in the winter months of Chicago and then hibernate and stay in our basement studio in the summer. We loved your latest release ‘Don’t You Break My Heart.’ Can you tell us the meaning behind the song? Thanks! We like that one too. That song is our opening track off of our record "Letters from Lawndale" which we put out last summer. Classic heartbreak song to be honest, but we purposefully wrote it with some dynamic changes throughout and layered instrumentation to add extra depths so that it's not just lyrics to make you feel something. You mentioned you are largely inspired by the soulful, rhythm and blues music of the 50s,60s- how do you blend that style with a more modern sound? We certainly draw the most influence from old school soul artists and groups. People like Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Sam Cooke, Lee Fields, Aretha Franklin. The musicians backing up these artists and playing in these bands are unparalleled in the music world. We also take so much from artists we know and love today though. We're always attending punk, alternative, hip hop, pop and cumbia concerts just to name a few so we draw inspiration from it all and do our best to tie other fresh elements in within a cohesive manner where we can. I think our new projects will continue to reflect that. What does the creative process look like for you guys? Everyone is always writing in this group. And everyone plays multiple instruments so it's not always just classic guitar riff with a foundation of lyrics being introduced as our standard process of writing music. Usually there are multiple well-thought out ideas and instruments in the mix already and then we start workshopping and demoing ideas to marinate. it has been one of the most fun parts lately as we focus more and more on our writing. What’s next for you guys? We have some fun hometown shows coming up. We have a cool East Coast tour in July. Most importantly we have a record to finish up writing and then working out our releases! We're havin' fun! Stay connected with Holly through their socials! Instagram: www.instagram.com/holly.band Facebook: www.facebook.com/holly.band #BuzzMusic

  • The Combination This Duo Makes Is Unforgettable! KhanPhAro & The New Creatures With “Time To Kill”

KhanPhAro and OzyMandaiz began KP&TNC (KhanPhAro & The New Creatures) in 2016 after much success under the BusinessBoysNeverRest mantle. The Seattle, WA based experimental hip-hop duo caught the attention of local promoters, landing radio spins on indie stations including KEXP, and opening for such notable acts as Macklemore. KP&TNC is here with a hot new record you won’t forget! They released their single titled “Time To Kill” and this is one of those songs where you can hear years from now and still feel the same sensations you felt prior to the first time you heard it. I mean it’s just timeless and unforgettable! The beat was so elevating and the melody in their deliveries was just mesmerizing. “Time To Kill” completely captured our moment, and sucked us into this song, creating a whole new vibe for us. Well versed in hard-hitting 808’s, Psychedelic guitar solos, and hypnotizing vocals were some of the many elements provided to us through “Time To Kill”. The classic aesthetics mixed with contemporary energy was a smoothly-connected fusion you won’t get enough of! “Time To Kill” really transported us back into a different era of music and society. I believe this is the most attractive quality of the song was the setting it creates. The images you mentally paint and the environment you’re bound to fabricate is easily reachable from the canvas painted by KP&TNC. “Time To Kill” was a beautifully done song that we loved! Check out "Time To Kill" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Hi KhanPhAro & The New Creatures! Super cool artist name. What’s the story behind it? There’s actually multiple answers to that. Pretty much the name KhanPhAro is two of my favorite artist/producers names combined. It also happens to be my real names initials and my spirit animals name that came to me during a hike in the jungles of the Philippines while tripping on acid and dmt. The new creatures is my band and that name came from a book I own by Jim Morrison who happened to haunt me for the first 3 years I moved to California. Considering your dope sound. Who are some of your influences? In what ways have they inspired your style of music? My influences range from New Kids On The Block to The Beatles to Michael Jackson to Nirvana to Master P to N.E.R.D and Kanye. I’m a sucker for Pop music all the way to underground dirty 808 hardcore punk shit. My mind is a melting pot of influences from different eras thanks to my mom my dad and cousins who introduced me to all types of sounds. Speaking of your music, “Time To Kill” was IT! What was the full theme behind this song? Basically the beat was a nice feel good vibe and I could of took the easy way out and made it 100% love dovey pop shit, but I wanted to give it a lil twist, some yin and yang spice. So I decided to write about an old best friend of mine who happens to be an ex and talk about some semi sad memories on a happy track. In what ways were you able to personally relate to “Time To Kill”? what does it represent for you? Personally relate? Hahaha it’s about my ex that I was madly in love with, unfortunately it was just a toxic relationship. We were best friends for 5 yrs and decided to date for a year. I’ve thrown in references and real life scenarios of everything we’ve been through into this heat rock track. Any exciting summer plans? Disneyland and music. • Selena Victoria Gets Inside Our Mind With Her Fresh New Hit, “Inside Your Mind”

Selena Victoria is a pop singer and songwriter who stems from a working-class family in Hamilton, Ontario. Selena got started at a young age. Her passion for songwriting and singing stemmed from her love for music. Her inspiration came from Selena Quintanilla and blossomed with many other artist influencers up to date. Selena Victoria has engaging melodies that instantly gets her listener blossoming alongside the wave of the song. An example of this? The release of her record titled “Inside Your Mind”. “Inside Your Mind” had a more upbeat and delightful vibe with an inviting vocal resonance. Selena’s fun charisma showcased in her vocals resonated extremely well with “Inside Your Mind”. “Inside Your Mind” was a nice fun dance tune that had riveting lyrics in which the listener could relate themselves too while remaining outgoing enough for a careless aesthetic. The carefree energy displayed in “Inside Your Mind” was what captivated us the most and had us wanting to listen to this record over and over again! “Inside Your Mind” was more than contagious, it was simply addictive! It’s one of those songs where you can’t help yourself from the second slice of replays! Check out "Inside Your Mind" here and keep scrolling for our exclusive interview with Selena. Welcome to BuzzMusic Selena Victoria! In what ways has your inspiration, Selena Quintanilla inspired you? Selena Quintanilla had a pure heart and was driven by positive intentions to spread love across the music community, which inspired me to do the same along with my passion to wanting to positively change the world one step at a time. Tell us about the most monumental moment in your career so far? The most monumental moment in my career so far would be the studio time I spent with my producers & mentors (Andre Kaden Black & Tal Vaisman), writing & recording this past year. The energy in the room is unexplainable & the creativity that flows in writing sessions or studio sessions is beyond contagious! Writing or recording a hit song with a positive message to it has a way of bringing you back to life in times of crisis or despair. Its your art you’re putting out into the world and now, people get to see it, and hopefully admire it and appreciate it as much as you do. I’ve also received incredibly beneficial life advice from my mentors. Both career wise & life in general. The guidance I’ve received from them on how to carry myself in this industry, to learning self love to handling both positive and negative changes from my music, and or my path, has been very beneficial in my life in keeping me grounded and nonetheless, grateful, so far in my career. We loved your single “Inside Your Mind”. What is this song about? The song is truly open to interpretation. How the fans can relate to it, and how they perceive it; is what the song is about. For me, while I was writing it, I related back to high school relationships I had been in & I’ve always been the type of person who enjoys seeing life from others perspectives. So I wrote from the perspective of those I had written the song about & what I imagined they were thinking/feeling in that moment. How would you describe the lyrical arrangement in “Inside Your Mind”? Every emotion and every thought that is written comes from who I believed the person(s) I was writing about was feeling, in terms of that particular situation, and how he or she would handle it. As I previously said, I love putting myself in other peoples shoes and figuring out what makes them who they are, what makes them tick & how they can handle a situation such as this one in the song. What’s next for you Selena Victoria? Whats next is hopefully more exposure and success in my career. But most importantly, the third song off of my EP (which is ironically enough the first song I had written from the 3 songs off my EP - years ago) which is called ‘Solider’. It is to be released in the near future and is the one I am most proud of, and excited for. This song is very near and dear to my heart, and the struggles I had been through that I address in this song, have always been issues I’ve been passionate about for a long time now. It focuses solely on the struggle’s I’ve faced throughout my childhood, my teen years & things I even go through on a daily basis now. For me, its that song where I want my fans to know that they’re not alone. And hopefully, when I have a stronger voice in this industry one day, I want to bring more awareness to these issues, as I feel they aren’t as talked about as much as they should be. This song is about being that voice for someone out there, whose going through the same struggles, to wanna get help. I want to be that voice for them. Stay connected with Selena on social media! • NEW MUSIC RADAR: MAGUIRE Drops Emotional Track “Strangers”

BuzzMusic presents London based singer/songwriter MAGUIRE. She’s known for her intensely emotional style that gives the listener a sense of hopeful melancholy. Out today, MAGUIRE releases her debut EP “Préludes”. A five track collection of emotionally-rich songs that paint a story revealing more about the artist. Produced by Steph Marziano and mixed by Barny Barnicott, MAGUIRE’s debut EP evokes questions about the human condition, loneliness, intimacy and desire. Overall, MAGUIRE strives to create music that urges for connection in a time of isolation. My personal favorite and first track on MAGUIRE’s debut EP “Préludes” is titled “Strangers”. This song tell the story of the an intimate encounter with a stranger and the thoughts and feelings that take over after it’s over. The intimate paradox of an intimate moment with a complete stranger takes your mind on a journey. The melodious piano draws the listener in and the light percussion and stunning vocals fuse together and create a soundscape of emotion. “Strangers” is the perfect track to put on when you feel like reminiscing or just to enjoy the soulful sound. If “Strangers” is an indication for what MAGUIRE is going to continuously deliver then she will be rising to the top, quickly. I highly recommend you check out this alluring new single and the entire “Préludes” EP. “The temptation to romanticize people and events raises questions about the subjective nature of reality and our perception of it, made all the more subjective when it comes to matters of the heart. - MAGUIRE Check out “Strangers” here! The music video has been shot in Montreal, Canada, and is a full action dark story that keeps the beat pumping till the very end. Check out "Last Dance" here! Read more with TSS below in our exclusive interview. Thank you for sharing your music with us Travel Space Sound! Knowing you’ve been on a personal journey through different musical styles and genres. Do you incorporate a little of each into your music? Yes, but I think I do it unconsciously, like a natural way to create my own sound. I don't try to make a specific sound each time I make a song, I just go with my feeling of the moment which are most of the time a little mix of some different styles. But for people who listen to my music, excepting hip-hop, which I think that it is pretty obvious there's some influence of it into what I do, maybe only I is able to say which genre has inspired me to make a song. What i'm trying to say, is that as an exemple, I can make a very smooth song that I've been taken ideas from Metal music and the opposite too. An heavier one with a pop-punk atmosphere and melody inspired from hip-hop. Most of the time, the song I'm creating finds a way itself to sound as its suppose to. But I would be lying to say that I never change the way I'm making a song during its process. What are some challenges you may face as a producer? How do you overcome these obstacles? From making music to just trying to be heard by people who like the same genre, I think my strength has always been that I work hard for the things I want to succeed to or to get. In my life in general, to reach a specific levels of success in what I like and believe in, I've always had to work a lot and to practice on my weaknesses to overcome the obstacles. For the producing step, sometime I can make a song in a couples of hours only, other times, I can get stuck for a very long time on a little part, not finding the right melody, the right instrument, the right feelings and then I just work and work on it until the right things come to life. I don't take the easy path ( the first thing that comes in my mind ). I think that working and to not fear to spend a lot of time on something that is difficult is the key to get to the next level or at least to something you can be a little proud of. Let’s talk about your music! We loved “Last Dance”. What was the main vision behind it? For the song, I don't know if there's something specific I was trying to get when I was making it. When I've found that bass line, I just told myself, that this is something we could dance to. For the music video, the video producer Dominique Caron and Sonia Frickx just wanted to bring to life the story that the music was telling to them. They found the perfect fit for the song. They had a vision to make this kind of story to put on the music that couldn't have been a better fit. Every scene is guiding us with the beat into something very special. Where did you find your inspiration for “Last Dance”? I found that first riff ( that is actually the main bass line ) while I was playing acoustic guitar. I founded it very catchy and simple. Later on, I just played it with some virtual instruments until I've founded the bass that sounded perfectly to me. Then I just created it with the mindset that it has to make us wanna dance. The only thing I had in mind, was to make this song moves, a good beat. The interesting part is that almost 4 years has separated the beginning of the making from the final version of the song. I made the 3/4 of the song on the first night I worked on it if I remember well. Then 3 or 4 years later, when I was setting up all those things to make a music video, I met a good friend of video's producer Dominique, Thibaut. After a couple of months, when I got the first draft and a couples of shoots from the music video, Thibaut and I met and worked together to give the song the same atmosphere as much as possible that the video had, without changing the body of the track. In the unique goal to make the video and the song, a single piece. Thibaut really brought up some cool ideas and helped me a lot to make it fit perfectly with all those scenes. Finally, I can say that the video itself gave us a lot of inspiration to make this song the way it sounds now. What’s next for you Travel Space Sound? I am now working on releasing two new singles during the summer. I have a couple songs ready to be release, I just need to choose which one would worth it more. I plan to start to do some gigs and live performance, I hope to be doing some by the end of the summer. And for sure, I will continue to bring up some new good music as much as possible and probably get back on a clothes brand project for Travel Space Sound that I have been working on 2 years ago. I would like to set this up, so people who likes what I do will have the possibility to get some merch. • D’NME Elevates You With “Winning At The Races”

Rapper from Toronto, Canada, D’NME is never shy on confidence. The self-proclaimed "face of the rap game” and "greatest rapper alive” is undoubtedly one of the most gifted and technically sound emcees to emerge in Hip-Hop in recent years. D’NME first burst into the underground Toronto rap scene in the late 2000’s with his first mixtape titled “Death Of Me”. Capitalizing on the emergence of digital music. His single “Winning At The Races” featuring Kingrythefirst shows his masterful lyricism and ability to crate contagious hooks many people will be able to vibe too. The authenticity and rawness in “Winning At The Races” was the most memorable attribute to the record. He doesn’t attempt to fabricate an image that isn’t a natural representation of who he is. “Winning At The Races” is able to captivate its listener due to the relativeness equipped to the lyricism. It’s like a vibe that you can replay over and over again because it’s so real. That’s what we loved so most about “Winning At The Races”. Many people will be able to connect with the lyrics of the song. I mean there’s a significant amount of people who want to be at the top of their game and reach their goals and dreams their longing for. Therefore, “Winning At The Races” is a song that will elevate its listener and evoke the inner confidence we all have. Listen to "Winning At The Races" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic D’NME. Mind telling us a bit about your background and upbringing? What motivated you to begin rapping? I’m very happy to be here, thank you for having me. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. My dad passed away when I was 6 years old, so my mom was the one who raised me, so we’re really close. Growing up in Toronto was great but it got a little difficult during my teenage years. Looking back I think it had a lot to do with wanting to fit in you know? As a teenager it’s rare to have that “I don’t care what anyone thinks” attitude because you want to feel accepted so you may not have the self-esteem to just be yourself. I got into rap as a teenager and that’s when I would say I found my calling so to speak. I had never really been interested in sports or anything like that, but rap was the first thing I really had a passion for. Obviously I wasn’t good in the beginning stages but that didn’t deter me from working to get better. I always knew that if I dedicated enough time to my craft I would get better. I would say being able to express myself skillfully is what motivated me to rap. That’s the same thing that motivates me to this day. When it comes to rapping not only do you have to rhyme, but you have to connect lines, use metaphors, have a great flow, and deliver your lyrics with conviction all at the same time. All these things really drew me to rap. Many artists have their “Why”, their main dream and goal. What is yours? What’s the main dream for you? For me being the greatest rapper within myself is my main objective. When I started rapping the goal was just to be dope and get respect as an MC. After years of rapping and making music I started to feel like the greatest. Also, I’m chasing my own greatness I’m not in competition with anyone else but myself. Nowadays wanting to be the best at the actual art of rapping is not something people put any emphasis on, but for me it means something. I didn’t grow up in this era so my perspective on Hip-Hop is different. I grew up listening to rappers that constantly talked about being the greatest, so that mentality is just ingrained in me. Of course this is also my career and getting paid for my work is amazing but for me it has been and always will be about being the greatest rapper. What inspires your music the most? My own desire to win. That feeling of “I have to do this for me” is my main inspiration. Winning doesn’t mean money, or accolades it’s more about just having the passion and drive to keep going despite what happens. I’m sure every artist has gone through moments of doubt, and different obstacles but the willingness to continue despite facing setbacks is what makes you who you are. That’s really what inspires my music. “Winning At The Races” has a large lyrical substance to it. What was the theme behind this? It’s really about being unstoppable and just at the top of the game. Kingrythefirst who’s featured on the song came up with the hook and right away I thought: “Ok this definitely speaks to that confidence I have in myself as an MC”. It’s extremely braggadocios, but that’s what Hip-Hop was built on. Lyrically, my approach was to be skillful but at the same time I didn’t want to be so complex to where the listener would get lost. “Winning At The Races” is more single driven, so I had to write it in a way that wouldn’t lose the average listener and I believe I accomplished that. What’s next for you D’NME? Any exciting summer plans for you? I’m working on some new music for a possible fall release, so throughout the summer I’ll mostly be writing and recording. Earlier this year I made an appearance on Thisis50 and Power 105.1 which gave me a lot more exposure, so I’m definitely focused on keeping that momentum going. • Blending Classic With Modern Rock, As Friends Delivers Us “Growing Up”

As Friends is a 4-piece Alternative Rock band from Central Maine who consists of the members; Sierra Carey (vocals), Jerad Smith (guitar), Noah Smith (bass), and Amber Sinclair (drums). They get gritty and electric with their exhilarating hit , “Growing Up”. the thrill in this song was my favorite. It has your adrenaline rush on an all time high, keeping you at a level of excitement you won’t forget! With your blood-rushing, and energy pumping, you’re rocking out with the band. The badass transitions they includes were timely executed well, at the right moments of the song. The multiple dynamics the band gives provided valleys of emotion. You become emotionally connected with the song. The lyricism is strong with a sense of complexity. Of course you can become easily distracted by the radical transporting energetic vibrations of the record, however if you study the lyrical content in this single you will grasp a new understanding of the dimensions it provides. This combination is lethal, and this band has an insightful understanding on what makes a hit. Their sound is perfect, powerful, and prepossessive. As Friends did what needed to be done with this vigorous melody and percussion-soaked smash! The thirst for more is real, and the anticipation to see this band live is at an all-time high! Check out "Growing Up" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Thank you for sharing your music with us As Friends! As a band, how do you manage to fuse together the multiple different personalities into one sound and brand? If we were to sum up our brand in a word, it would be inclusivity. We are all different people who have had different life experiences, who also have different personal challenges and personalities. But to each of us, music has always been a safe haven. It’s also about figuring out a writing process that works best for the band. Usually one person brings a basic structure to rehearsal and we all expand upon that. We set egos aside and work collectively as a group to finish each song. This process reflects on how we tackle every decision as a band or as friends. What are some challenges you guys may face as a band and how do you overcome these obstacles? The dream would be to play music all day every day. Our biggest challenge is time. All of us work full time jobs, one of us is in school on top of that. You have to be in a certain mindset to create, and it isn’t always easy when you head straight to band practice after a (likely) stressful day at work. But we take care of each other and offer support if needed. We are able to lean on one another, and because of that we are able to channel our frustrations and stress into our creative process. How would you describe your live performances? High octane, no nonsense. Raw, energetic, passionate, and rowdy. We don’t use a click or backing tracks. We hit the stage, cool our minds and start breathing music. We’re allowed to share our passion with our audience and they give it right back. That’s what’s so great about fans like ours. “Growing Up” seemed to have such a strong lyrical presence to it. What was the meaning behind this record? “Growing Up” was the first song we wrote when we started As Friends. Before we became a band, individually we were all experiencing very tough times in our lives. When we sat down to begin writing this song, we all shared our stories with one another and it taught us a lot about what it actually takes to grow up. People have a lot of pre-conceived notions about how life is going to go before we really get out on our own. Our parents sometimes might try to shelter us from the real world and instill a false sense of reality in order to protect us. As kids we are told we can be anything we want to be and that our loved ones will always be there for us. We will live inspired lives full of positivity and love. But once we grow up, we realize we’ve been mislead. “No one really wants to watch you live your dream, and they’re not who they seem.” We learn that people are about themselves, that they’ll step on each other to come out on top, that they’ll break your heart and lie. We learn that life is exhausting, that it can absolutely crush you. With work and other responsibilities it seems as though you no longer have time to do what you really want to do. You may seem to have gotten stuck in a rut. We learn that some loved ones and friends turn their backs on us altogether. This song is about reality and learning all of those things. “You’ve got a lot of issues, a bunch of shit to get through.” We’ve all been hurt in various ways, but what we have learned above all is just how strong we really are. All you can do is learn from the past and embrace the pain when it does come. Embracing pain is what allows us to tap into that deep, dark place where our best inspiration comes from. What’s next for you As Friends? Any exciting upcoming live shows? We’re going to keep having fun and enjoy what we love doing as a band. We have more songs in the works for our forthcoming EP that we are very excited for. We have a bunch of live shows that we are playing this summer, our next one being at Spring Point Tavern in South Portland, ME, on July 11th. • Deshawn Visionsz, The Next Big Thing Out Of Sacramento California, With An Epic Single; “Don’t Worry

Deshawn Visionz is a rapper from Sacramento California whose been rapping for two years. He’s a 22 year old who was influenced by the likes of Saba, Drake, Jcole, Kendrick Lamar etc. Deshawn Visionz released his single titled “Don’t Worry” and what I loved most about this record was most definitely the lyrics. Deshawn Visionz opened up through his songwriting but also promoted a positive message many people will find worthwhile. Deshawn Visionz is who I’d consider a “Conscious rapper”. He opens your mind and gets you thinking about lots of significant topics and ideas. “Don’t let it taint your soul, nobody can take your beautiful smile.” “Momma said Momma said Momma Said, Don’t you worry child.” the hook sings. This was an uplifting message that elevated its listener. If you were once feeling hopeless prior to listening to this record, you will find yourself receiving a large amount of promise and optimism. Deshawn Visionz reminds me a lot like the incredible talent his influences possesses. He can match up to the caliber of those artists and even fit into the plethora of other mainstream rappers. He has the appeal, the lyricism, and the flow to make him the star he deserves to be. Deshawn Visionz is going to be the next big thing, and we’re saying it here now! Check out "Don't Worry" here and read more below in our exclusive interview with Deshawn Visionz! Hey Deshawn Visionz! What motivated you to begin rapping? To be honest I started rapping to motivate my homie to get over his fear of rapping in front of people. He has mad talent but his self esteem is low sometimes to the point where he doesn't want to chase his dream. It was a one time thing at first but got more serious when I went to a Saba show. He inspired tf out of me and right then and there I wanted it but I was a little afraid as well. It was when I saw Caleborate, A rapper from my own city, perform showing that you can make it from Sacramento without trying to be the same as everyone else in the city music scene, I had no doubts after that I wanted it 100%. Let’s talk about your single “Don’t Worry”. We loved the lyrics and melody in the hook. What was the message you were hoping to translate from this song? The message I was trying to put out was that at the end of the day it WILL get better. No matter how down you're feeling in the moment. What emotion were you able to channel in while writing “Don’t Worry”? Hope. I feel like everyone needs it at times of doubt. What inspired you to write this? Were you able to personally relate in any way? I was in the process of making my first E.P. and wanted to figure out a theme for it all. The conclusion I came up with is "taking chances" and with that I decided to start the project off with that song to motivate others but also myself. A lot of people want something so bad they could feel it in the core of their belly but are too afraid to make that first step. This song as well as the whole project was just letting them know that it's ok to take that first step. The hardest step is always the first one and not saying it's easy after, but it is EASIER after that initial move. You have to think about your life and where you want to be. Right now where you are do you see yourself satisfied and "happy" if you stay there forever? If so then you're where you're supposed to be but if not, what's stopping you from getting to where you want to be? The answer is you. No one/nothing can stop you but you. There's always a way. Just remember no matter hard it gets, Don't ever let nobody take your soul. It's what makes you you. What’s next for you Deshawn Visionz? A visual for Don't worry, Some more quick drops, and another E.P. called Astral Projection. Stay tuned with updates on my IG and Thank You for your time for the interview and anyone seeing this. I appreciate you. Keep up with Deshawn through his socials! Instagram: www.instagram.com/deshawnvisionz #BuzzMusic

Listen to “Home By The River” here and read more below in our exclusive interview below! Hi Ria! Can you start by telling our readers more about yourself and your upbringing into music? Having not come from a musical family it was certainly a surprise to everyone that I had such a deep love for music at such a young age. Since I could speak I always loved to sing and I wasn’t really any good at it, but I just loved it. Although my parents were never musical they too loved country and classic music and introduced me to artist and bands like Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstdat and The Eagles. This quickly sparked an uphill journey as I began to delve into the world of music even more. My love for singing turned into singing lesson and followed by the need to learn guitar. Admittingly in the beginning I was a bit lazy, I hated scales and picked up the guitar to soon put it back down, I had the ambition but not the determination. However, when I picked up the guitar for a second time, it was like there was driven willingness. I started improving and before I knew it I was singing and playing the guitar. Practice was becoming a more frequent activity in my life. A time that I will always remember was when I was driving back from a competition that I didn’t do too well in. I was so devastated and although my parents thought I was amazing, my dad had the greatest words of wisdom that sent me on a path to greater success. He said, “Maybe you don’t practice enough and if you want to be the best you have to train the best just like an athlete”. From then on my practice tripled from a few times a week of practice to everyday of the week for 2 hours followed by busking on Saturdays and Sundays, if I didn’t have a competition. Subsequently my whole life was music, from the theoretical aspects to the practical. I lived and breathed music! From the age of 14, I began my busking career where I had the ability to grow confidence, experience and a repertoire of songs. Shortly following I began gigging across the Sydney region playing at numerous festivals, markets, weddings, corporate events, restaurants and bars. I accredit busking for making me the artist I am today. It has taught me discipline and given me so many great opportunities. One of my greatest achievements was recently making it into the top 10 for the Tamworth Toyota Busking Championships 2019. The finals were held on the ‘Toyota stage’ in Tamworth Australia where I played to an audience of 5,000 people. I have also been lucky enough to play at the Portfairy folk festival in Victoria Australia and Bluesfest in Byron Bay, both times as a busking finalist. Do you have any specific artists that have influenced your sound? Throughout my time exploring folk/country and bluegrass music I have become extremely influenced by artists and bands such as, The Lumineers, Leonard Cohen, First Aid Kit, Linda Ronstadt and Gabrielle Aplin. Having drawn influences from such an eclectic range of artists and eras I think it has truly shaped my music into something that is uniquely my own sound. What I love most about folk/country music typically, is the ability to tell a story in a such angelic way. I really enjoy writing about people, places, history and of course love and contrasted with a great melody and feel, it’s a genre that has the ability to create such a range of emotions. “Home By The River” is a great song! Can you talk more about the emotions you channeled when you wrote it? My single release ‘Home By The River’ was written a couple years ago whilst I was living overseas on student exchange. I was longing to be home which inspired me to write about my home by the river and my town, Camden. By channelling in on my own experience of feeling homesick came appreciation for everything life had offered me. In the midst of tears and laughter came this song and I think the biggest realization for me after writing it was how lucky I am to have a place to call home. What is the music scene like in your hometown? The music scene in my home town is quite small however there is such a great sense of community and everyone is so willing to get on bored and support local artists. So when I do play gigs in my hometown I definitely feel at home. For me, releasing ‘Home By The River’ was also something that enabled me to give back to my community and my town Camden. What can we expect from you in the future? This first single release is just the beginning for me and you can definitely expect to see more releases later on in the year. The past couple of years I have been doing a lot of song writing and now finally I have a list of songs that I’m really happy with and I would love for them to be heard. At the moment I’m working on translating these songs into great singles, which really comes down to the production of them. As I work through each song with my producer I’m finding my own sound even more, which for me is the most important thing. This is all just the beginning for me!
