  • The Sultry and Soulful Izzy Mawdesley Delivers Us A Second Single

Izzy Mawdesley is a 17 year old upcoming singer-songwriter from Dorset, UK. Since the age of 12, she has been a prolific composer with her music ranging from sweeping piano ballads and delicate pop songs, to colorful cinematic pieces that capture the soul. Following in the footsteps of ‘Bliss’ her debut single, ‘Coal’ is her second track available on Spotify, iTunes and other music platforms. *JAW DROP* We were not expecting this strong voice from a 17 year old. Not that age matters but her voice sounds as though she’s been here before. We hear the cadence of Sabrina Claudio with the hum and lyricism of SIA. Then the choice of production was spot on. Emphasizing only the piano making this single a duet with Izzy and the piano keys. The second layer of vocals we assume is Izzy as well which shows us her beautiful vocal range.  If you close your eyes and listen to this song, it almost feels as though it is a live performance. We can feel her there singing with her heart and soul and you begin to paint a picture of her on stage sitting at the piano with a single spotlight on her. Oh what a amazingly harmonic package in a soul that has only graced this earth for 17 years. Listen to "Coal" by Izzy Mawdesley here Hi Izzy! Care to introduce yourself to our readers? Hey! I’m a 17 year old student from Dorset, UK, who spends most of her time making music. Can you give us a brief history of your musical career? I’ve been playing the piano since I was about 6, so for most of my life I’ve been involved in music. Although I’ve been writing little tunes and stuff since I was about 10, I was 12 when I started writing songs and uploading them to SoundCloud. I’ve been doing various writing projects for a couple of years, ranging from writing music for an advert for a Parkour centre, to lending vocals on EDM tracks. Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing process and style? Yes I do! My writing process mostly begins with chords or melody. I just like to sit at the piano and play around, and see what comes out of it, though sometimes  I’ll start writing songs in the shower, in the car, or whilst out with friends. I’m still working on developing my style, but I am influenced by a range of music, spanning from film music to pop ballads. We LOVE your new single "Coal"! Can you tell us a bit about it? Thanks so much! "Coal" is a piano-driven ballad that I wrote last year. Although it’s not written from my own perspective, it’s a very personal song to me. It took longer to write than some of my other songs, as I became pretty attached to the piano part and so wanted to make sure that the rest of the song complimented it well. Where did the inspiration behind the song come from? This song was written in the middle of Autumn, so that definitely inspired a lot of the lyrical imagery. The whole song tells of somebody reminiscing over the past, and wanting something that’s already been and gone - hence the title "Coal"; it is non-renewable, and is used as a metaphor for this person, place or thing that the narrator is missing. What are three things you’d love your fans to know about you? When I hear music I automatically see colours and shapes, which definitely helps when writing. I’m really not a fan of performing my songs because I get bad stage anxiety, but it’s something I’m working on. Most of my songs are actually inspired by films, books or just stories that I’ve made up. A recent film I’ve written about is ‘The Sixth Sense’ - which is one of my favourite films ever. What’s next for you in 2019? School exams, unfortunately! But musically, hopefully an EP of some sort later in the year, with a few collaboration projects with other artists. • Angie Keys Brings All The Feels In “All the Rain”.

Angie Keys is a singer/songwriter from Birmingham England. At the age of three she received a toy piano for Christmas and since then she has been smitten with music! She wrote her first song at age twelve for a songwriting competition and she won! Angie had a curiosity for music technology and the creation and manipulation of music fascinated her. Taking up sound engineering in college while she pursued her singing and songwriting career. Bringing us a “highly commended with special mention” track "All the Rain." Take me away! “All the Rain” is a tune for anyone that loves a good folk, soulful country melody. She brings back that classic folk/country feel but brings it into a present-day sound. Evolutionary! The story behind this song lyrically sounds so sad but musically sounds so very beautiful. Her voice has a really lovely range giving both soft and strong keys. Production gives us the light drums, strings, and the piano, which I believe is our very own Angie. Everything just mends together so smoothly in this musical melting pot. Listen to "All The Rain" by Angie Keys here Care to introduce yourself to our readers? Greetings! I'm Angie Keys, a singer songwriter from England. I have some music and a some stories to tell and I'd love you to have a listen. Thank you for being here :) Can you give us a brief history of your musical career? So it all began with a toy piano at the age of three. I began playing little concerts to my family! I was smitten. Music was already stirring emotions in me, even from a very young age and I knew I needed to chase a dream. I wrote my first song at age 12. I won a songwriting competition, bought some music gear and got stuck in. I produced and engineered everything myself and was soon out gigging. I also started teaching Music performance and production at my local colleges and I currently manage music courses and run a record label at Bournville college. I’ve entered Heaven Knows in the UK songwriting contest and received runner up in the folk/country category and in 2018 I received highly commended with special mention for All The Rain. I’ve been striving for some time to finally release an album of polished tracks that totally sum up my vibe and I think 2019 is the year. I've met some fantastic musicians and now have the  opportunity and resources to fully realize my musical dream. It's very exciting! How did you come up with your name Angie Keys? Is there a meaning behind it? Well this one is easy! Angie is my given name, and I married a Keys ;) Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style? I do write my own music. I love the whole process of finding a bunch of great chords, adding a melody and a story. I try to always tell a story, something about me or what I've seen. I love a great chorus, something that lifts the song and stays with you. And full of harmonies and some great little hooks that give it a personality plus something that makes it unique to anything else. I love Norah Jones and her vibe. There's always something different going on, each song has its own character whilst keeping some sweet melodic aspects that get right to your emotions. That's always been my aim. All The Rain has such a unique sound, we LOVE it! Can you tell us a bit about it? Where did the inspiration behind the song come from? So funny story. I’d just had a big fight with my man. One of those where you think of all the things you want to say AFTER they've walked away. I listen to music all day, every day and it helps me work a lot of things out -  the lyrics, the vibe, the energy. I put a vinyl record on and and the opening line came from there. Musically, I love the whole piano and guitar combo with a good ambient drum kit. Big rich warm sounds, really playing on those emotions with the chord changes and backing vocals. Suffice to say, we made up later that day ;) Any upcoming shows? For someone who hasn’t seen you live yet, how would you describe your performance? When more songs land in the ‘bag’, I hope to play some summer festivals and intimate local gigs. The vibe of my songs lend well to the smaller, more intimate crowd; for now at least. Who knows beyond that. I’m available for bookings ;) If you love music with emotion, played by some well seasoned musicians, then you’d love my gigs. I’m also in a 9 piece soul band, playing all the soul and Motown classics and you can catch me on some big stages this year in the Midlands, UK. A little different to my original music but awesome fun ;) Find us on Facebook @soulmanifesto1 What’s next for you? I’m heading straight to the studio. I have lots of songs to be recorded, some great musicians to work with and that dream to finally realize. I hope to see you all on the other side. Come and watch my story evolve. Peace to all. • A New Groovy Tune by A Few Blind Mice

A Few Blind Mice is an indie rock band from Dubuque, IA. What started out as a duo quickly expanded to the full 5 piece that they are today. Their sound can be described as soulful classic rock revival with blues and jazz influences with sounds you’ve never heard before! A unique sound and a unique band, they are bringing something real to the table. A Few Blind Mice is signed to EverPlast Music and has been active since 2014. Sharing their latest single, “Pride Before the Fall”. This song has a really cool retro feel. We can’t help but get up and boogie down to this track. Everything about it bleeds and screams indie blues and rock! There’s a groovy bounce to this song that makes your head bop. And then the lead singer, a chick woo-hoo girl power! She’s got that raspy tangy sound like Amy Winehouse. We really can’t help but like this song. From what sounds like a banjo, to the drums, to the strings, to the guitar, we just have so much love for a great composed track. Standing ovation! Listen to "Pride Before The Fall" by A Few Blind Mice here Hello all! Care to introduce yourselves to our readers? Hey there! We are A Few Blind Mice, a 5 piece indie band from Dubuque, IA. Our project started as a duet in 2014. Can you tell us about your careers in the music industry? We all come from different backgrounds in the music scene. Our vocalist, Emily, has been competitively singing since elementary school and sings with our local orchestra occasionally. Our guitarist, Ty, is in instrument repair and is a guitar instructor. Ted, our bass player, has been a gigging musician since the 80s and is a poet. Ray, our drummer, started his music career in the drum core and can play about any style. Last, but not least, we have Willy, who is still a student and is currently in his schools orchestra program. How would you describe a typical day in the studio with the band? A day in the studio varies depending on which song we are recording. It's important to really feel what we play, otherwise you cant expect anyone else to. We always try to be precise and efficient in the studio but make sure to leave some space to be creative and jam when its needed. What inspired “Pride Before the Fall”? Pride Before The Fall is about people who are their own worst enemy, but don't know it yet. The inspiration comes from a multitude of personalities that have caused their own downfall, and how easy it is to do that yourself without realizing it. Did you face any challenges in the creation process of the song? How'd you overcome this? We had the great opportunity to play this song with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, which was amazing! The only problem was that when they asked us for a recording we where in the middle of laying it down. We didn't have a final mix yet, so time was against us all of a sudden to get a polished track finished. We quickly overcame that though with a tremendous amount of coffee and more than a few late nights. Who are your greatest musical influences? how have they shaped the band? We all have very different inspirations in this band, which we think is an advantage. I think everyone looks at our music from a different angle and can hear a lot of different things in it. We could make a list 10 pages long with all of the musicians the 5 of us get inspired from, but to keep it short I'll  say this; we love jazz, we love blues, we love all the weird stuff in between, but most of all we love to rock. What's next for the band in 2019? We are currently recording our second album, which will be self-titled. In the upcoming year we are trying to book more festivals, something we haven't done in the past. We are keeping our eyes open for any opportunities that come our way. Our motto is to always stay busy. If you're staying busy, you're doing something right. Connect with A Few Blind Mice on social media: Facebook Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic

  • New Music: Wally Zoo Releases Hit Song "Go Get It"

From the opening chord you know this is going to be a masterfully dialled composition. It’s watery, plodding and epically layered. When the sub bass comes in, slipping into some bit-crushed elegance, you can’t help but wondering if you’re on your way to some trapped-out hazy. Yet, despite the early signs of popular hi-hat relevance, it’s the clarity of the vocals that packs the biggest punch. It’s a quality update from the Long Islander who brought us the sultry, creamy sounds of “I love feeling alone it’s ordinary.” In that jam the listener was invited on a soul-searing yet inspirational experience. “Facetime” was pentatonic bliss, longing for a deeper connection. And with “keep on going” we listened to the brisk, melodic charm of a quality evening jam. But it was a release borne out of struggle and frustration, despite how poppy it sounded. Now, with “Go Get It,” Wally Zoo has arrived. It’s an understated triumph with just the right amount of detune — very slight, dopamine inducing. You can tell that Wally Zoo is on the grind to lean into riches. The way he sings about “every night a new topic” provides a decent framework for understanding the kind of anthems we can expect from this talented new hip-hop voice in the months and years to come. That is to say, precise, effortless, addictive. File this song within the column of au courant, modern soulful rap. You’ll love the slow-motion brilliance of singing about hustling with instrumentation that has that a deep bad-ass flow. It’s like driving down Sunset Boulevard around Vine in a sleek black car with the top down, knowing the sun’s not going anywhere. Listen to "Go Get It" by Wally Zoo here. Care to introduce yourself? My name is Wally. I’m a 25 year old from Long Island, NY who has been writing since I was 15. I’ve always had an interest in creative writing and a love for hip hop so I thought putting the two together would be interesting. Rapping started as a hobby until I realized I had talent. I just moved from the east coast to the west and I’m looking to take the next step with my music. When you set out to write “Go Get It,” how conscious were you of trying to create a blissed-out, chill vibe, verses attempting to tell a deeper story through you lyrics? The funny thing is that the verse was written before the song was even a thought. I like to call my style of writing free writing cause it’s like I freestyle with the pen and build off of it. I actually wrote this verse at work while I was taking a walk. I was having a bad day, felt like I was stuck and wrote the verse. As for the chorus, once I heard the beat by Mantra, in my car, I started writing it and that verse just fit perfectly with the song and beat. Do you feel like your experience of growing up in Long Island had an influence on the type of rap music you’re drawn to? I wouldn’t say so. I listen to a variety of music which I think my family and friends influenced. Who are the artists who've had the biggest impact on your creative journey? Drake, Kanye West, Future, Lil Wayne and recently Kyle, Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Logic. What are some things you’ve learned from your previous releases you put out that helped while recording this track? Time is key. Making a song perfect before I release it is something I’ve learned to love. There’s a lot of songs I’ve never showed anyone because I thought I could do better. What do you think this song shows about the musical direction you’re headed? This song to me shows my diversity and in rapping, singing and lyrics. Connecting with Audio Push to me is such a huge honor and accomplishment cause I’ve been following them sing they released Teach Me How to Jerk. I’m trying to work with as many artist I’ve been following as I can. • Progressive Metal Band Set/Display Release Their Single "Reckoning"

Now here’s a progressive metal band based out of Houston by the name of Set/Display. Drawing inspiration from a variety of influences like Periphery and Tesseract, Being As an Ocean and Architects. Set/Display released their debut album, The Reckoning, April 20th, 2018. They are currently gearing up for a Midwest Tour in the spring of this year. Set/Display is also working on a second EP that we can't wait to hear! Bringing us a track off the latest album, let’s check out “Reckoning”. What immediately catches my eye is the cover art. So many bands and artists fail to think about their cover art, in my opinion. I love how they capture your attention, before even diving into the song. When you hit play, the intro grabs your attention and pulls you in, all within the first 30 to 60 seconds. They're really giving it their all and showing the world what they can bring forward into the current music scene. At first you are smitten by the way Set/Display lyrically and musically draws you in so softly and then it slowly gets you going with a nice buildup throughout the beginning of "Reckoning"...then it hits you with intensity! Set/Display deliver a full on metal rock anthem that we can't get enough of! Set/Display has a sound influenced by other but truly made by them! Listen to "Reckoning" here -- Find out what Set/Display is up to next with their music, with our exclusive BuzzMusic interview below! Hey guys! Could you please introduce yourselves to our readers? Hello, we’re Josue Delgado, Chase Czajkowski, Mitch Mackert, and Renzon Garcia, and we’re a band from Houston, Texas called Set/Display. What’s the story behind your name? It’s funny because we could totally make some shit up about how it’s about setting a good example to follow, but the real story’s not that deep. Chase was nodding off in his high school government class, but before he dozed off, he saw a button on the projector that read “display settings,” and thought, “huh.” He woke up and Set/Display still sounded pretty cool to him, and we all agreed. As a metal band, do you endure any struggles in the music industry? There’s a few we can think of. It’s naturally not the most accessible genre, especially when you’re throwing screams on top of distorted guitars. Add some odd timing to the mix, and it really becomes a gamble of whether or not your music is fun enough for the listener to give you a second listen. We like to think we’ve got a good balance between catchy and complex, and we give our all during our live game, so hopefully people agree. How did you choose “Reckoning” to be on the album? Reckoning’s just one of those jams that turned out to be a banger. It’s bouncy, it’s sentimental, and it’s got an overall positive message. When the song was complete, we just knew it had to be the title track. Can you tell us about the inspiration behind the song? Reckoning was inspired by the general theme we were working around during the writing process, and more directly, it tackles both grand and small scale issues our world is currently facing. It’s written from the perspective of mankind pleading for redemption after being put on trial for our destructive habits, including the way we treat people and the way we treat our planet. It sounds dark, but there’s a lot of optimism in the lyrics. Working as a group, do you guys face any challenges in the creation process? How do you overcome them? Oh, absolutely. There’s times where one of us will come up with what we might think is a great idea, but it’ll get shot down by another member. You learn to understand that not every musical idea is a hit, even if it initially feels like it’s a personal dig. Every member of the band wants the best for the band, so it’s important to trust everybody’s judgment. What's next for the band in 2019? Set’s going on our first tour through the Midwest in March, actually! We’re also in the writing process of the next record, though we’re not sure when any new music is going to be released. It shouldn’t be too long, there’s a new song in our set list that we’re thinking of putting out as a single for people to sink their teeth into while they wait for new jams! • Neomi Has Our Attention With Her Latest Single “Tables”

As an independent artist Neomi has been able to explore and build her alternative-pop sound. Her singles “Body On Body” and “Tables” gives the world a taste of what this 20 year old Montreal, Canada native has been putting together in the studio. With more singles to come in 2019 and an album on the way, it is safe to say that this is just the beginning of Neomi’s career in music. Eager to hear what she has to offer in her latest release “Tables”. Oh my! Is right. Neomi has a sound that's a cross between Ariana Grande, Alina Baraz, and a splash of Sia! What a combination of sounds. Lyrically and musically her range is pleasant to the senses. I definitely hear the alternative-pop and it works so well for her. The production of the song itself is a steady build up. Gives you a little then backs back down. It is a dope technique and if down well sounds amazing. “Tables” gives a great and new sound to our readers! Listen to “Tables” here and get to know Neomi in our interview below! We got to chat with her about her career, the release of "Tables", upcoming music & more! Hi Neomi! If you could, introduce yourself to our readers! Hi!  I'm Neomi, I'm a 20 year old Montreal born and raised pop singer/songwriter.  I have recently released two singles and I'm just starting my journey and career in the music world. How long have you been involved in music? I've been involved in music pretty much my entire life. From a young age, I was in piano lessons, vocals lessons, and involved in school productions. I always loved performing and had a deep passion for music. What made you decide music was that thing for you? I don't think I ever really decided, I feel like it was something that I always just knew from a super young age.  At age 4 or 5 I would say "yeah, I want to be a singer, I want to be an artist, that's what I want to do to."  I never really doubted it, it was something that I always intrinsically knew. Could you give us a back story on “Tables”? Tables was written about an on-again off-again kind of relationship where we could never find a middle ground.  One person always had to have the upper hand.  I was trying to figure out how to put it into words, how to describe the situation and the idea of Tables always turning came to me. I found that it described the power struggle of the relationship perfectly. What were some challenges you faced in the creation process of "Tables" I feel like there weren't any challenges in the making of this particular song.  In other songs that I've worked on, I've had trouble deciding things like the tempo or the type of instruments to use or finding the right words, but with Tables, this song is the one that came the most easily to me and to my producer Kevin Jardine.  We got in the studio, it was actually the first song we ever worked on together, and we finished the rough version of it in a day or two.  The creation was such a natural progression and it just flowed. Favorite lyric from the song and why? My favourite lyric from the song is "my soul is broken, fixed again, broken".  I feel like that really captures the emotion that I was feeling during that time.  It was just a rollercoaster, feeling on top of the world, and then feeling shattered.  That lyric captures the unstable position that I was in within the relationship. What's next for you in 2019! I have about 10 songs recorded and we're putting together either an album an EP or something of the sort.  I'm excited to do a lot of live performances and keep writing music and creating new things.  I'm still learning to manoeuvre my way through the music world which is new and exciting.  I'm self-managed right now so hopefully in 2019 I can start working with a great agent or a label, but if not, I can keep learning through trial and error.  I'm excited to connect with people through music and I hope that I'm able to reach a lot of people with it. This twenty-six year old artist is ready to hit the music scene with his melodic harmonies and smooth lyrics. Martin Jr. has finally graced us with his debut release “Alive”. This song goes really hard! I can totally hear it in today’s Hip Hop and R&B radio rotation. Martin Jr. has a sound similar to a blend of Ty Dolla $ign and his own new vibe that he brings to the table. "Alive" is one of those songs you can sit around listening to it on repeat, no matter the occasion, Martin Jr. has you covered. "Alive" has an into that will entice you, we loved the song opening up into guitar. It lulls you into the song, getting you fully ready for the beat to drop. I really appreciate Martin Jr.'s lyricism throughout "Alive". It’s makes you want to love the life you live with it’s catchy hook. Sometimes we all take life, people and the things we have for granted. A nice reminder to take a step back and remember everything we have, even the little things we don't tend to appreciate on the daily. Martin Jr.'s vocal layers of sound are one of my favorite things about the R&B sound and he uses this well. Two big thumbs up for “Alive” - we can't wait to hear what's next! I released a few early demos through out the years for local audiences in my hometown and have always gotten  cool responses back. How did you come up with your stage name? Is there a meaning behind it? Yeah my stage name is actually apart of my real name. I’m a Jr and my father is a Sr. I always felt best keeping my real name and remaining authentic to myself as an artist. Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style? I write all of my music. Usually I choose an instrumental that speaks to me. Then I come up with the lyrics and melody for the chorus, shortly after I begin to write my verses. We’re really into your new song Alive! Can you tell us a bit about it? Thank you appreciate it. Alive is my new single I released in January 2019. Produced by KontraBandz a really dope producer. It’s just one of those songs to chill to or just vibe out with and have fun. Where did the inspiration behind the song come from? • Asha's “Exit Strategy” Is The Dance Record You Need In Your Life!

Asha is a Brooklyn-based one-woman production. She's a songwriter, composer, producer and performer who has been in the New York scene for years and hopes to inspire more girls to get involved in the behind the scenes aspects of music. More female producers opening doors for more female producers. In her latest release, she is reimagining and remixing songs from her EP Mercy released last October while she is in process of finishing her first album. Asha delivers a multi-faceted hit record “Exit Strategy”. The whispering and sensual vocals floating on top of a trendy dance bop is exactly what we forgot we needed! Her vocals has lots of dynamic transitions from quiet to loud while remaining a substantial melody and beautiful resonance. Her tone stood out a lot to me, but the addicting beat is what helps make the song a hit in my opinion. You can play this record in your car, or at any dance party where you want to just let loose and get lost in the music while feeling the sensations carry from the tune into your body releasing a charismatic personality you sometimes keep locked inside during your day to day routines. Asha impressed us tremendously and we can ensure you that she is on her way to becoming a groundbreaking success. Listen to “Exit Strategy” here and get to know Asha in our interview below! We chat about her latest release, musical influences and her plans for 2019! Hi Asha, can you tell our readers a little about yourself? I was born in Boston and raised in the South Shore to immigrant parents. My mom and dad are straight off the boat from Poland. They came here just before I was born, so growing up I felt like I didn't quite belong here or there. Nobody in my family did music while I was growing up or anything creative at all, but as a kid I remember watching a family friend playing piano and I saw how much attention they got and I thought I wanted that kind of attention, too. I wanted everyone in a room to stop talking and listen to what I had to say. I think that's how this all started. Now when I'm not writing music for myself I'm a freelance composer, which means I sit in my room and make music all day. To me I'm living the dream of 15 year old me. When did you begin making music? I started piano lessons when I was about 10 but I think I really started writing music down, writing lyrics out and creating songs, no matter how dumb they were, when I was about 13 or 14. That's around the time I got my first guitar and started lessons, thinking I was going to be a rock star. How would you personally describe your artistry and style? My music always starts in the electronic world. I'm a huge fan of messing with samples, I love making fun beats with weird sounds for drums. I've become an Ableton wizard through my professional work and I do almost all my writing in there. My music tends to be on the dark side, I write from a very emotional place and I only write about what I know and feel. I've spent a lot of time creating a persona of a dark witch or vampire on my social media, so that's my vibe. I think a bit of darkness is exciting. Do you have any musical influences if so who and why? I always say my music is a mix of Nine Inch Nails, Fiona Apple, and some Florence and The Machine. Nine Inch Nails have always been a huge part of my life and I think my upcoming project is going more industrial than my last EP. I love Olafur Arnalds and his blend of electronics and classical sounding music. But I also love composers like Debussy and Phillip Glass, and there are some other amazing film composers I aspire to be. I love world music and try to incorporate samples from gamelan and African drumming etc in my music when I can. Sometimes I listen to nothing but pop music. I try to take in all sorts of inspiration and don't limit myself, taking pieces from everything to try to create something fresh. If you can compare yourself to any past hit artist who would you say you channel the most and why? I've heard people say I remind them of Kate Bush a bit, or Annie Lennox. Both of which I love. There's nothing wrong with being compared to strong powerhouse females. Where do you find much of your songwriting inspiration from? My inspiration comes from my life, it's usually how I feel in the moment. I always tell friends and lovers that if you want to know how I feel about something, the honest truth, you'll hear it in my music. What’s next for you? I have a side project I am working on called IN LU, it's a bit different than my normal music. It's downtempo electronic, more hip hop and world music influenced. I am also in the process of recording an album to follow up my EP Mercy. In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to make a bunch of remixes for Mercy, so I did them myself and now they're out there and I've gotten great responses from people. I'm hoping I can keep releasing new music this year and keep on that grind. Connect with Asha on social media: www.ashamakesmusic.com www.instagram.com/ashamakesmusic www.facebook.com/ashamakesmusic

  • The Addictive New Hit From Bafoory "Nicotine"

The first Emirati rock artist, Bafoory brings a unique cultural twist to western dominated Rock music. Oozing talent from every aspect, Bafoory is a multi-instrumentalist as well as a multilingual singer English, Arabic and Hindi. Bafoory has been in music since fifteen and has been sharing his music since 2013. Bafoory's EP , “Fall and Rise” was released in December of 2018. The fourth track of the EP is titled, “Nicotine”. "Nicotine" gives the listener a glimpse of what Bafoory is about musically with his unique cool style. Moody guitar licks and classic rhythms and twangiest of acoustic guitars, saturated with a hard percussion line bring this track together. Almost on the lines of grunge/rock, Bafoory brings his melodic, yet gritty vocals which intensifies along with the track. This may sound like a class rock genre track, but we later see the transition. The instrumentalization of the track is set equal to the vocals which emphasizes the emotion. Bafoory's song "Nicotine" is completely solid in itself and seems to have a thematic element of the twangy acoustic guitars. "Nicotine" will definitely lead way for inspiration to artists to create something real and raw. We dig the new song! Can you tell us a bit about it? Nicotine is the most heard song on my album and I think because the riff in the song is very addictive to one’s ears and in this song I’ve used metaphor where I have described love in form of addiction which is Nicotine. Where did the inspiration behind the song come from? To be honest there wasn’t any inspiration behind it when I started writing it, it just came out of me in one go lyric wise but to structure it well it took me 4 years and its long time but its worth the time and effort because it became somehow a hit in our local music scene area. What are three things you’d love your fans to know about you? I want them to know that I am the only local Emirati Rock solo Artist and I am write songs for the people to help them get through tough times and I’ll always be committed to that. 3rd That I can sing and write songs in 3 different languages.
