Germaine is an upcoming Rnb singer from Temecula, California. Originally, from Norfolk, Virginia. He’s simply aiming to make it out the city! Germaine released his single titled “Enough” and we were mesmerized by the production of this record. “Enough” had all the components of a hit RNB song that we love. From his trendy auto tuned vocals to the lightly sensual energy he delivered with an upbeat melody mixed with a smooth-sailing radiance, “Enough” knows how to weave between eras of Rnb that we love. Listen to "Enough" here and get to know more about Germaine below! Do you have any classic R&B influences? It’s noticeable in your vocal style! If so who and why? Man I can’t really choose just one influence I love classic R&B but my one of my biggest idols of the classic genre would be Michael Jackson! I grew up listening to him and also Boys II Men and a lot of others so I guess it’s just something I picked up along the way haha Tell us about your new single “Enough”! What's the meaning behind the song? So basically it’s about a relationship With a female that’s asking me to give and show her love but at that moment in my life I can’t do that, all I can do is give her my energy and some of my time and we continue to kick it and make it happen even though we both know it’s not the right thing to do. What emotion did you channel in while writing “Enough” ? I would say I wrote the song off of contentment and guilt haha it’s wild because if you listen to the lyrics I’m basically saying I’m invested and satisfied with giving the girl my energy and being able to be the person to lay her down at the end every night, but at the end of the day in my head I know it’s not right of me to lead her on knowing I can’t fully commit to giving her my love. What are some obstacles you face in your career in the music industry? How do you manage to overcome these obstacles? Man the obstacles I face in being in the music industry would just have to be who I trust and who I give my time too, because I’ve done been played, lead on all types of stuff haha. I lost someone I was in love with because she didn’t agree with me pursuing music as a career so at that time in my life I was down and couldn’t decide what was the best move to make. It’s crazy when you have to choose between two thing that you love, but I stuck it out and kept grinding putting my focus into other thing like the music and that’s why I’m still here so we gone keep it pushing till the wheels fall off! Modern singer-songwriter Rikke Normann has earned a reputation as the most sought after and used vocalist and backup singer in the country and has made a living out of singing for almost 10 years. She has contributed on numerous albums, appeared on multiple events, radio jingles and television shows and was handpicked to sing with John Legend at The Nobel Peace Prize concert in 2017. With the Norwegian go-to voice, Rikke has played almost every venue throughout Norway and Europe and has received international attention for her music, participated in Eurovision and released self-penned music with Norwegian R&B-Trio SiNoR. DIY artist and songwriter with enormous drive and creativity, who spends all her time and money on making music, video’s, writing song and running her own record label “RikkiLeaks” and with the release of her first solo album in 2011 called “Rikki’s Guns”, Rikke received great reviews and a lot of national press attention. Her first single off the album, “Superstar”, entered the Norwegian official pop chart “VG-lista” at number 7. The music video for “It’s Complicated” helps paint a picture of a complicated world, is extremely creative with different sceneries and lyrics being displayed. With flashes of bus riding, fountains, and city spaces, Rikke has really given us a good look into this life style she is portraying, with herself flashing in and out of frames – it really is a new and unique effect. It is definitely not hard to see why Rikke Normann has international attention and a sought after artist as her style and creativity is hard to beat. This up and coming artist is one to watch for and her music is sure to get stuck in your head. “It’s Complicated” has left me in complete and utter awe of the vocal tone of Rikke Normann and style that she has created with this track that makes me feel like I’m in a modern day 90’s home, with a cup of tea on a beautiful spring day. Rikke’s voice is embedded with raw talent, and a tone that is so unique, especially with the emphasis of particular words throughout the song. The harmonies compliment the melodic parts so beautifully and I found myself singing along with the gorgeous flow of “It’s Complicated”. With a mixture of instruments that add texture to this down-to-earth tranquilizing track that is filled with mysterious sounds that you might miss if you don’t listen closely. “It’s Complicated” is packed with extremely relatable lyrics that are delivered with passion and musical dynamic that is unmatchable. Make sure you give a listen to "It's Complicated" here, and continue reading for Rikke's interview! Hey Rikke! Fantastic to chat with you! Can you tell us a bit more about yourself and how you found your passion for music? I don’t really know how I found my passion for music, I think it just found me :-) I come from a family of no musicians so there wasn’t really anyone to lead the way. There’s only me doing music in my entire family, although my dad has a pretty massive record collection. I think he has around 2000 albums on vinyl! I started hearing songs and melodies in my head quite early on and taught myself to play the piano to get this out. Singing came kind of natural. Songwriting has been my only outlet for frustrations, emotions and a way of prossessing the constant feeling of being different and not fitting in. Remember, I grew up without much creativity around me and people were more business-y, I’ve always felt a bit different. Today I am a one-woman-production and DIY artist, doing almost everything myself! I’ve released 3 albums on my own label RikkiLeaks, and recently organized and played a solo 40 gig tour all around Norway, with a visit to the UK, as part of my album launch. I’m actually a bit shy and don't always have the strongest belief in myself, so reading back what I just told you, still makes me go “wow, is that me, did I really do all that?” It makes me happy. “It’s Complicated” is layered with so many different sounds and instruments, were there any that you wanted to use but didn’t and are there any that you had fun playing in particular? “It’s complicated" (and all of the rest of my album 35) is actually recorded LIVE! It’s a band playing and me singing one take straight trough, without many add ons after, I think only some percussion and backing vocals, they we’re carefully selected though. On this track, less was actually more. We wanted to capture the moment so what you hear is what actually happened in the recording studio that day. Where was the music video for "It's Complicated" shot and were there any challenges you faced while filming? The video is a complete DIY thing! It’s shot and fully produced by me and my boyfriend, in and around Oslo, and also on OSL Gradermoen airport on our way to playing a festival. We wanted to capture an indie real life vibe, unpolished and raw, you know like one of those days where your brain feels totally chaotic or in limbo, it's trying to figure out problems and you just wander around and go about your day as usual without really being present. It happens to me a lot and the video resembles one of those days. The challenges in this were technical things, we time lapsed the backgrounds and had to place me in the exact same spot afterwards to be able to cut real-time-me on to the fast moving backgrounds to capture the essence of chaos and stillness in one picture. This vid was so much fun working with! we we’re just improvising and fooling around, and me being me What inspired you to write “It’s Complicated” and what was the message you wanted your listeners to take from it? What inspired me to write this song is the fact that we and especially I, keep second guessing ourselves. You know when you’re making choises in your life we often keep asking ourselves if this is the right thing to do, or was that the right way? It doesn’t help that friends and family tell you (often quite determined and loud) what they think you should do. It’s hard to navigate life, and to hear your own voice through the noise from everyone else. The message to my listeners is simple, shut out the noise and listen to yourself. If you don’t do you, don’t do it at all. What’s next for you in 2019? Next for me is festivals and gigging and recording new music. I have soooo many things to say right now, so the songs keep pouring out. I even wrote a song one evening inspired by the lovely Kim Chi from RuPaul’s drag race show, season 8. He really pearsed my heart and I’m gonna send it to him when it’s done, like “look what you inspired” <3 I love RuPauls drag race show and the beautiful people in it! Growing up in toronto was a major impact in my musical career, it has made me the man I am today. the city is filled with people from all over so you learn about various cultures, and I releaized that no matter where your from what colour your skin is we all love and get hurt by love the same way so I decided that I wanted to write love songs. The music industry in toronto i feel is picking up theres alot of talent out here, just harder to get your shot but if you do you'll have the city behind you, toronto is very proud of it's people succeeding What inspired you to start writing and creating music? My family loves music so my love for it came from there, we all love to sing at home but I gotta give the most credit to my brother he made me listen to alot of R&B & hip hop growing up and I fell in love with R&B, I just wanted to be a singer as a kid and I thought every artist wrote their own music so I told myself if I was going to be a singer I had to write my own lyrics, I started at 11 and I've been writing ever since. What was your inspiration behind your new single “Catch Me”? My inspiration was love, the process of it having the courage to go up to a girl and talking to them, then having to the courage to ask her out on and hope if you fall for them they're willing to catch you What makes “Catch Me” different from the other songs you've released? Catch me is a story it's the start of a new relationship, that new love like I said early it's the process of getting into a relationship with someone, it's not simple and that's why I try to make music for any stage of love you're going through, from that new love, to a love that's run its course, or holding on to something when you should be letting go. So I guess you can say it's different from my other songs cause it's coming from a different point of a relationship, where as my other songs are different stories What's next for you through 2019? For 2019 I just want to make more content, create music videos, perform as much as I can and hopefully people can relate or connect to the music I make that's all I've ever wanted, for people to turn to my music when loves either hurt them or has changed their world for the best. • Find Strength and Encouragement In “I Believe In You” by Laela Giovanna

Laela Giovanna is a singer-songwriter and producer born in the suburbs of Philadelphia who is working her way to the top. Beginning her career early on in her childhood, Laela was recording in the studio at the age of nine singing and playing piano. At twelve she picked up her first guitar which sparked her love for song writing and she was honing her live performing skills in her early teenage years at many music venues and cafes around the city. In 2013, Laela opened for the former duo “The Company of Thieves” and her soulful vocals add an alluring element to her music. “Growing up, my dad introduced me to R&B music at a young age. I think having that soulful inspiration early on inspired and molded me into the artist I am today.” Laela went on to perform at the legendary Apollo Theater in 2016 and in 2018 was recognized on the island of Ischia, Italy as an up and coming music artist in America and was awarded “Ambassador of the Island of Ischia, Italy” which also gave her honorary Italian citizenship. She continues to push her creative abilities to the next level and has a new single and EP on the way. “I Believe In You” is a meaningful and powerful track that blends many different styles together into one master piece. Laela’s voice is hard to forget, as it has a very smooth, relaxed tone that is unique and she effortlessly hits every note. The harmonies that are found throughout “I Believe In You” complement Laela’s melodies perfectly, adding depth to this exciting track. The rap section, though short, emphasizes the creativity that Laela has when writing a song with a variety of genres mixed into one. The beats mixed with piano and the alluring sound of her voice create a well-blended classic R&B/Pop sound. “I Believe In You” has lyrics that hit home, on a personal level with lines like “I know that it’s tough, just gotta get tougher” and “You’re a work of art, better know it’s true, that I believe in you” that are uplifting and encouraging which in my opinion is something that in our current time more people need to hear – that they’re believed in. “I Believe In You” is going to be a hit R&B/Pop song and I highly suggest you add it to your daily playlist as you are sure to be hooked to the addicting sounds that radiate from this track. Listen to “I Believe In You” here and get to know more about Laela Giovanna below! Hey Laela! Love the new single! Can you tell us a bit more about yourself? Thank you! I’m so happy you’re loving “I Believe in You”. A little bit about myself. I am a singer/songwriter & producer. I am also a student at Berklee College of Music. I grew up in an Italian family. My family is from Ischia, Italy. Fun Fact : Last summer I was awarded ambassadorship & honorary citizenship in my family’s hometown on the island. Being an honorary citizen of Italy must be exciting! Have you taken any inspiration from the different types of music found in Italy and what other inspirations do you have for creating music? It is an honor! I love visiting there and seeing my family & friends. Everyone is so supportive of my music. When I am there, I am able to draw so much inspiration for my music through the experiences. My song “See U Again” was inspired by someone I met on the island. I wrote it on the rooftop the night before I left. That is the beautiful thing about music, inspiration can come from anywhere. What is the meaning behind “I Believe In You” and is there a message you were trying to deliver to your listeners? I started writing it a while ago. The song kind of just sat in my collection for a while. There was a few months last year when I was going through a rough patch. I did not fully understand what was going on with me. I remember sitting down on the keyboard one night, playing this song and just crying. That’s when it hit me that I needed to finish the song and get it out into the world. I sent it to my producer friend Nick and the rest is history. It was important for me to create a song that my fans could listen to and feel empowered by. I wish I had this song when I was going through that rough patch. Now that it’s out in the world, I hope those who need to hear it will. When creating new music what is the process like for you? There is not one specific process I have . It changes depending on how I am feeling , who I am around , what I am going through, etc. Inspiration can strike at any time so I always travel with a notebook/pen and my voice memos . Once I am back in the studio or home, I will look through and listen to the ideas I have. Whatever lyrics/melodies pop out at me, that’s what I will start to build upon with my guitar or piano. What can we expect to see next from you in 2019? A lot of new content! I have some really exciting things in the works right now that I can’t really speak about just yet, so stayed tuned! I just want to say thank you to anyone who has been following my music journey. Thanks for sticking by me. You mean the world to me. • Singapore Pop Artist Rico Setiabudi Releases New Single “Hanya Tanya”

Rico Setiabudi, also known as “Rico Setiabudi Skandar Bin Abdol Shukor” is a pop singer and songwriter (with a hint of RnB) from Singapore. He is the youngest of a family of five, and started music at the age of five in a Malay art group, where he played the gong. Over time, his passion for music steadily grew and he began to learn other instruments such as the guitar, cajon, ukulele and drums. As this was occurring, he also began to write his own material. Rico Setiabudi has released a new single called “Hanya Tanya”. This is a refreshing change of pace from the world of pop songs. Rico relies on the effective simplicity of his writing, and this allows the true nature of his art to stand out. Based on the sincerity of the vocals, one doesn’t necessarily even need these lyrics to be translated. Sung in what I can only assume is in his native tongue, one can still understand the moods and intent behind the music. The lyrics, translated to English, speak of love and desire for reunion with a loved one. The instrumentation is simple enough, with a beat, synth lines, and vocal harmonies that weave in and out. The chorus is a great hook, and this song is rife with an elegant simplicity and a refreshing take on pop music. We definitely recommend you check out Rico Setiabudi and see what this young Malay artist has to offer! Don't miss out on Rico's "Hanya Tanya" and listen to the single here. Keep scrolling for the artists personalized interview with BuzzMusic! Thanks for chatting with us! To start us off, would you mind describing a bit about your background and how, why and when you got interested in music and songwriting? I started music since I was five. Music has been in my blood as my family is into performing arts. I loved music since i was a kid. I actually started from playing percussion in a Malay performing art group. Then my passion for music grew so I decided to pick up and learn more instruments like cajon, djembe, darbuka, guitar, ukulele, drums etc. When i was 12 that was my first time trying out songwriting. However, I was too shy to let other people listen to it. Even my family members. So I keep it to myself. As I grew older I took the courage to let others listen to my song. Thank god, after few years of hardwork, one of my song became a theme song for a Telemovie and it was nominated for the "Best Theme Song" in an award show. It encouraged me to even compose more songs. In 2017, I also went to Spain, Madrid for a singing competition called Aim2Fame. I was selected among other thousands contestant, being the top 8 finalist. That is when I decided to take music seriously and push myself beyond my comfort zone. How would you describe the music scene in Singapore? Music scene in Singapore is very small. However we have a lot of talents here. So I believed that we need a bigger platform to promote our music into the international market. We have our neighbour country like Indonesia and Malaysia who have their own scene too but why not aim big and try to expose your music to the world? So if you would ask me. My goals is to let my music (Singapore music) travel to different parts of the world. Who would you say are your biggest musical influences? My influences are Bruno Mars, Marvin gaye, Jason Mraz, The Jackson 5, Earth Wind and Fire, James Brown, Neyo, Sheila on 7 and Judika. How do you write your songs and how does all your music come together in the end? Personally i feel that music is something that comes out from your heart. Something that you wanna express. It is an art where there is no right or wrong but depends on one preferences. So how usually I write my song? I do it when I have something to express or share. I will find the melody first according to my mood at that moment. Then comes the lyrics. Lyrics is the most important part of the song. Where your message is being conveyed to people. Next is when my arranger start to arrange the tracks according to what we feel is right. Tada! All done. Hahahaha of course then, I send in for mixed and mastering. What can we expect to see from you in the future? What can you expect from me in the future is more Pop/RnB songs obviously hahaha in Malay and also English. Bringing the branding as a Singapore artist. Spreading love and compassion thru my songs. Stay connected with Rico via the artists social media: Facebook Instagram #BuzzMusic

Can you tell us more about yourself and your background? I'm 28 year old and I come from the French Riviera. I started music at 4 year old by playing saxophone. Then I experimented a lot of style from classical to jazz music, and I've been an active member of a Gypsy Jazz group for few years. It's when I discovered the infinite possibilities of electronic music that I decided to quit my job and focus on creating my own music. Who are your biggest musical influences? I grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Django Reinhardt or Ray Charles. They really shaped my way to feel music. Today, I'm really influenced by artists like Feder, Mome or Kink for there joyfull music and the energy they put on live. What are some challenges that you have had to face in your career? Biggest challenges for me are to manage the ups and downs of an artistic life. Those moments when you think you should stop doing what you love. It can be really tough to follow your dreams in our current society where social medias only show quick results and positive sides of life. You need to be really focus on your real goals. How did winning The Lab Fesrival 2018 impact your career in music? Winning the Lab Festival has been an incredible experience, it gave me credibility to play in new festivals, and offered me a good visibility in french media of electronic music. Since then, I've signed with the french booking agency "Nuit Sauvage" and released my second single in the same label than the well known artist "The Avener". What is the meaning behind “Dans tes rêves”? I wrote this song in a real down of my life. I was questionning myself why should I try so hard to pursue my dream of becoming a music artist when I can have a peacefull life. Then I was thinking "Did I grew up with too many dreams ?", "Why do I feel special ?". And it inspires me this song where I explain quit simply that nobody is special, that you have to accept it and just find yourself, and don't wait any kind of miracle to happen, you need to work hard if you want to become what you want to be. • Eric Dixon Releases "This One’s For You"

Eric Dixon is a self-taught Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, and producer born in Baltimore, Maryland. Since he was 12, Eric had found peace and passion in music that helped him surpass the hard times and celebrate the good ones. Eric is a true artist who is sentimental and passionate. Eric feels and appreciates life on a deep level that make his music engaging, relatable, and emotional. Eric uses music to bring emotions to life and to create his own story. After 7 years of extreme focus to detail and learning curves, Eric released his first ever album titled "Live from Apartment 22”, named after the place that he lived. “Live from Apartment 22" is a product of Eric creating music based solely off how he felt in the moment because he wanted to keep it real as possible. On his album, Eric ensured to create music that he genuinely enjoyed, along with sounds that got him through the hardest of times, with the ideology that others could potentially enjoy them as well. “While I don't live at Apt 22 anymore, give it a listen, enjoy and make yourself at home.” My favorite song from Apartment 22 is titled “This One’s For You”. This track is laid-back, cheerful, sets a chill vibe, all while being eye opening at the same time. Eric brilliantly incorporates a meaningful message within his catchy song. “A lot of pretty girls came to party tonight, go ahead have your fun, live your life, we only get one, we don’t get this twice.” This verse demonstrates the importance to live life to the fullest and to live in the moment, which is something that Eric greatly values. This makes his song more appealing to me because of his honest and personal flair being added to the lyrics. Eric’s talent is raw and rare, which makes him a great artist to keep your eyes on for his future come up! Listen to “This One’s For You” here and get to know more about Eric Dixon below! Love the new single! What were your emotions while writing “This One’s For You”? Traveling inspires me. For work I take the local public transportation and I travel back and fourth from Baltimore to NYC to see family. Riding a subway or bus and listening to music makes the mind wonder, and I see people from all walks of life going to the proverbial "A to B". "This One's For You" was inspired by just that....People...humans all dealing with different things but all living and migrating amongst each other. When I'm on a train and see a professional person in business attire, I wonder what they do,whats their goal or passion, how did their boss treat them that day etc....Seeing a bunch of high school kids and it reminding me of what it was like to be that young and full of life and ambition (I feel I still have that). Seeing a mother or father on the train with their child, making me think of the joy of taking care and raising my 7yr old son. Its beautiful when a trip inspires a whole song or just an idea. I love that "This One's For You" speaks to different groups of people, if not only for a moment. Is there a deeper meaning behind your track “This One’s For You”? I just want people to know they matter, their stress matters, their idea's and passion's matter. I think especially in this day and age, there is alot going on in the real world and "online" , but what matters to me is knowing that their is still people who care about peoples general well being. Sometimes that gets lost in our day to day, I want people to know "This One's For You". What makes you different than other artists? Well I think all artists and humans have their own unique story to tell. I'm no different in that regard. But when it comes to creating and in life, I dont like to sound or be like the norm. If there is a sound in music that is the new "style" , I can appreciate it and enjoy it in some respects,  but I wouldn't want to replicate it. That's why music is so cool. We all use similar instruments and tools to create, but the end result is hopefully something unique and true to oneself. I'm a person with Albinism so I have always stood out, as a grown man now, I look back and think that has inspired me to stand on my own musically and create unlike the "norm". I'm thankful to be in that place. How challenging was it to teach yourself to record and produce? EXTREMELY! HAHA. Let me put this in perspective. Ive written songs since I was 11 but I never produced or composed the music. My brother bought Ableton for me as a gift as my first DAW, six years ago, it was like learning a completely new language as far as I was concerned. My son was almost a year old at the time and was saying his first words........7years later the album is out and my Son is old enough to listen and enjoy the music haha. Needless to say it took me a while in between normal life duties to record and produce my self in my apartment. What's next for you through 2019? SHOWS! SHOWS! SHOWS! I want to perform anywhere and everywhere who will have me. I have a couple idea's planned in the near future, but nothing set in stone. Anyone who hears my album and enjoys it, that would want to book me for a show or to open for them, I'm available. I love to perform for live audiences. Promoting my new album "Live From Apartment 22" is my main objective for 2019, it was a journey and experience to make, I want others to enjoy it also. I'm always creating new music as well. I hope to also release a few more songs before 2019 ends. To all those who see this interview, I hope you enjoy the music, share it with your friends and if you have a moment, tell me what you enjoyed most via social media.
