  • Rock To Some Real Hip-Hop With Marcus Alland’s New Single “Forza”

Marcus Alland is a talented hip-hop artist from Queens, New York. He was inspired by music at the young age of 14 when he would sing in his church choir. As a skilled vocalist and creative thinker, Marcus began writing rap lyrics and performing them for his peers when he was 16. He gained the confidence to perform at open mic nights and this helped him realize his passion. Marcus realized early in his pursuit of success that it cannot be rushed and must be earned. He put in the hard work which eventually led to the release of his first original mixtape single “Come Alive”. Now back again with his second release and working hard on his debut album, stay on the lookout for Marcus Alland. “Forza” is Marcus’ second single off of his original mixtape. Bumping this track ignites a fire in me and gets me stoked for REAL hip-hop. Marcus Alland has a flow that reminds me of Tyga, but his style and lyrics are uncomparable. He’s got the talent and ear for savory beats to excel in this game. The single “Forza” that reeks of self confidence is about Marcus’ journey to the top, speeding by the same-old mainstream sound on his way up. His energy truly shines in this introspective track that lets us explore Marcus’ fraught journey to the top of the charts. “I’m lookin’ right, my fanbase bout to look massive” is my favorite lyric because Marcus Alland knows who he is and who he will become in his launch in the hip-hop industry. I have high hopes that his debut album will reinforce the incredible buzz he’s set off so far. Check out “Forza” here and read more below in our exclusive interview with Marcus Alland. Connect with Forza via the artist social media: Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic Hey Marcus! Can you start by telling our readers more about yourself? Well, I was born in Queens, NY but raised in Prince Goerge's County, Maryland. The arts, especially music, is what really interests me and want to make it into a long-lasting career. I'm a laid back, goofy, kind of guy. Very sociable and real to next person. My goal is to show the world who I am and my journey in life through my music. I want to be able to be relatable and real to the ears that listen to my art. Love this track “Forza”. Can you explain the writing process and any challenges you faced along the way? The idea of "Forza" honestly came from me looking at cars from a game called "Forza Horizon 4" and was listening to beats at the same time. And sometimes I have this thing where in anything I do, I listen to beats as well. Like while I'm driving I have beats playing or if I'm out and about with earbuds I'm listening to beats too. So I based the song on me getting to the goal of my career in reference to cars, which was fun to do. What would be your dream collaboration? My dream collaboration would be to collab with H.E.R and Kendrick Lamar on a song. Kendrick Lamar has been my inspiration since I've started rapping. And H.E.R is honestly my top favorite female singer of my generation. What do you think sets you apart from other hip-hop artists? I think what sets me apart from other artists is my vulnerability and how open I am to express in my music and you'll get to see that more in future records to come. I try to put all of the real energy and emotion that I feel at that moment into my lyrics. Whether it be happy, sad, anger, etc, it's all going to be there. When can we expect your debut album to drop? We've been putting in work and grind in but my album is almost done, so you can expect a release date pretty soon.

  • Chughey Gets Vulnerable With New Single “Off Of You”

Chughey, is a hip-hop musician who knows how to put the passion and hard work in everything he creates. Originally from Rock, MI, currently residing in Gladstone, MI, Chughey, got into making music in 2012 after an accident snowskating. He always found a creative outlet throughout life, beginning with drawing, to skateboarding, to making music, Chughey always had the desires to express himself and his creative side after being injured and unable to skate.  Chughey began remixing off tracks and finding beats off of the internet, drawing his inspirations from Eminem, nomads, and atmosphere just to name a few. Chughey, went on to release four mixtapes, and two EPs: Doodles (Jun 2012), Still In The Sticks (Sep 2013), Sloth Life (Jun 2014), Progress (Jan 2016), Pivotal, produced and engineered by, SkwirllMaster (Aug 2017) and My Two Cents Is Free, produced and engineered by, Chughey, himself. With consistent hard work, persistence, and progression, Chughey has fully formulated his artistry and he’s ready to take things to the next phenomenal step in his life. Chughey released his single titled “Off of You” and it was a pleasant surprise. Not only did the song had an infectious hook thanks to the melodic tune, the record had a strong lyrical presence that felt like it was more personal to the artist Chughey himself. Chughey seemed to have broke down his barriers and released a more vulnerable energy into the song that felt more raw and authentic. Everything about “Off of You” was abundantly naturally delivered. Chughey has an appealing rap style and voice that complements his strong lyricism. There’s nothing I love more than a rapper with substance, and still manages to fabricate a hit. “I’ve been smoking trying to get my mind off of you” is the highlighting lyric for me. Personally, I believe significant amount of people turns into negative substances to help cope with the struggles and heartache they feel in life, so for Chughey to incorporate the realism effect in his song is an indicator to me that he knows how to connect with a listener. “Off of You” is a song that the listener can intertwine themselves with and feel as one with the music because it’s highly relatable and doesn’t shy you away from releasing any repressed emotions. Stream "Off Of You" here, and scroll below for Chughey's exclusive interview! What are some challenges you’ve faced in your music career so far that you think help shaped you into the artist you are today? Probably developing a fanbase, but I'm slowly but surely starting to build one. It definitely made me do it for myself before I did it for anyone else. Live shows were also a challenge when I first started, I definitely have forgotten my lyrics on stage before, it was quite the awkward experience, and I promised myself that it would never happen again, which it hasn't since. “Off Of You” seems to have a strong lyrical approach to it, what was the theme of the record? It was my way of getting over a breakup/ heartbreak. It was the first time I've really experienced heartbreak. Honestly, I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with the chick it's about, so breaking up really fucked with me mentally. Since music is my therapy, it was only natural that I'd make a song to get through it. Were you able to personally relate to “Off Of You” ? If so, in what way? Big time, everything I make comes from how I'm feeling. This song just happens to be more personal, and more relatable than a majority of tracks I make. Every line in this track comes straight from the heart. Did you face any challenges while creating the single? Tell us about your writing process. I mean, I'd be lying if I said it was an easy track to make. It's easy to make a song full of bars and just go in, but pouring out your heart and exposing yourself to the world is a whole nother challenge. Not to say, that I wasn't able to write the track fairly fast, cuz I was. It just happened to be about how I was feeling at the time, so the lyrics really just poured out, but it definitely brought up a bunch of feelings and still does when I hear it. What’s next for you through 2019? A bunch, I have an album dropping in June, which this single is off of, that will be accompanied by three music videos. I'm also dropping a remix every month. After the last music video drops from the album in July, I'll be dropping singles for the rest of the year. I'll also be doing shows come this summer. Honestly, I'm quite excited for the rest of the year. Connect with Chughey via the artists website and social media: Facebook Instagram #BuzzMusic

  • Change Is Changing The Game Up With “Believe Me Now”

Music fans know far too well that underground is where the magic happens. The greatest music that has ever been created tends to come from those artists we know little to nothing about. Emerging all the way from the decatur scene in Georgia, Change is the newest band to replicate the true raw meaning of underground rap music. Change released their single titled “Believe Me Now” and we were already hype by the instance we heard this record. If you watched the video Change released to this single, they showcased glamorous jewelry, nice cars, and fresh attire. Keeping their entire rap appeal in tact. The song had a slapping bass that was abundantly fitting for the track. What I like about this single is how it’s an obvious club banger. I can picture many people dancing and enjoying a night out to this boosted hit due to the energy that’s present. The bars were witty and catchy with a flow that’s memorable. Another cool element to “Believe Me Now” was the arrangement. Their different styles were able to fuse and blend together well, while also keeping an individual sound intact. “Believe Me Now” has all the mainstream qualities to create a progressive and longevity success. “Believe Me Now” contributes to the current sound that’s popular in the industry but it doesn’t shy away from being its own record. • "The Hills" By Milrose Has Us Going All In

Based out of Atlanta, Georgia comes artist Milrose who grew up playing music and is influenced by multiple genres. Creating a blend of Hip-Hop with R&B and poppy vibes, Milrose intends to bring something new to the music scene and give fans something to vibe and connect with. “The Hills” gives you an eerie haunting start with subtle notes from the keyboard, then gently dropping lyrics with a soft beat behind. This track has a darker style and tone to it, making it more intimate with the descriptiveness of each word. Going from one vocal tone to another, adding personality to this laid-back beat, and drawing in the listener to pay closer attention to the different layers mixed in this track. “Just know that I’m all in” is a good description of how we feel about this song because it is keeping the Hip-Hop genre fresh, and we are all in with the level of talent Milrose and Killzey are showing in this collaboration. Their vocals blend well with the mellow vibe of the song, sending the listener into a trance, and transporting them to a quiet, peaceful place where this story can hit them on a more personal note. In my opinion this track is perfect for just cruising around town with the windows down, cranked enjoying the summer sun and the cool breeze with my hunny. Another bopping beat that has me up a moving to the mixture of sounds that are so alluring. Listen to "The Hills" here and get to know more about Milrose below! Hey Milrose! Fabulous beats! Can you give us a background on yourself and how you found your passion for music? My passion for music goes back to when I was a kid. My parents were always playing all kinds of music in the house. So from a young age, I was introduced to a lot of different sounds and styles. Growing up, I always had a passion for hip hop, rock, punk, and everything in between. When my mom would ask what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would tell her I wanted to be a musician. Fast forward to when I was around 11 years old, my brother got a guitar for Christmas, and I started playing around with it. It all just kind of took off from there. I got my own guitar and taught myself how to play, and I would sing as well. Once I was decent enough to play along with a drummer, I started a band when I was in 8th grade. From then on out, I was playing in different bands around Atlanta for years. Being a solo artist was something I wanted to try for a long time, but I kept putting it off until around the middle of 2018. I recorded my first couple songs with the help of some friends, then I saved up and bought some studio equipment. From then on out, I’ve been recording all of my own material. That’s basically the timeline from how it started, to now. What is the meaning behind “The Hills” and were there any challenges when writing it? The Hills is about living the life you’ve always dreamed of, and having someone by your side that’s basically your ride or die, and you being the same to them. I’ve always wanted to have that one person who’s down for me, and vice versa. So that’s basically the concept. Just being successful and doing big things with that person. As far as challenges when writing it, it went pretty smooth. It was one of those songs where it was just a vibe to make. One of my good friends, KILLZEY, linked up with me on this track to feature, and he killed his part. It was a perfect collaboration, in my opinion. It was a great writing process. What drives you to continue to write music? I think what drives me is just the passion that I have for music. It’s therapeutic. Music gives you an emotional outlet like nothing else can. Another thing that drives me is hoping that I can create something as an emotional outlet/escape for fans. I want to help people get through hard times with my music, or even just give them something to vibe to, just as music has done for me. Your sound is unforgettable, What gave you inspiration to create such a unique sound? Thank you. I appreciate that! I feel like my sound comes from the many different musical influences that I have. I love R&B from the early 2000’s, and I think that contributed a lot to the sound of this song specifically. The soul and style behind it, mixed with unique melodies just gives me chills. It’s something I fell in love with at a really young age. What’s next for you in 2019? I have a lot planned for 2019. I’m planning to drop my first EP at the beginning of Summer, alongside a couple music videos. After that, the work never stops. I’m making moves all year. • DarioDMusic Releases “Takers”

DarioDMusic was born in Trinidad and Tobago and came up to Canada when he was 12 years old. He has always been a fan of music but has been writing since he was 13 years old. He’s currently still working on his debut project titled “Real Talk”. Dario dislikes limitations so he tries to be as versatile as possible so he isn’t limited to one specific genre of music. His style varies from Gospel to R&B, hip-hop, pop, and more. A strong believer in the idea that words holds power, he believes that as an artist they should be mindful of what they put out there in the world for them to repeat. DarioDMusic released his single titled “Takers” featuring artist Britteny Manhertz. What was highly unique about this record was when Dario began rapping which was fluently prepossessing due to Dario’s highly intricate and stylistic flare to his delivery. Dario’s accent that would sound killer on a reggaeton beat was incorporated in this pop and rnb beat. “Takers” has an infectious hook. “Taking what you want from me” in an addictive tune and mesmerizing melody. The fusion of Britteny and Dario’s vocals created a lightly treaded sensual path to the dimensions of the music and that’s what we also enjoyed in the record. “Takers” sounds like it would blend in perfectly with the current “what’s hot?” generation we live in. I loved how “Takers” evoked the encouragement to repeatedly listen to this song. It was already eargasmic and eye catching enough after the first listen, however you find yourself thirsting for more with this extravagant and lush single. The glistening vocals, shimmering beat, and polished arrangement are the ingredients that help create the artist “DarioDMusic” Listen to "Takers" here and get to know more about DarioDMusic below! Do you recall the first ever song you wrote? Mind sharing with our readers the theme behind it!? Lol I wrote my first song at the age of 13 and it was a worship song and I sang it at my church. I grew up in church my whole life and I'm still going strong lol. My first song was called “I’m alive in Christ” and that song was basically talking about Christ coming and dying for us so we don’t have to be separated from him because of sin which births spiritual death, to know God is to know life, cuz he died to give us spiritual life once u surrender your life to him. And as a result of that, even if you die and leave this earth, you're not dead, cuz your spirit is now alive with him where he abides which is in heaven. Have you noticed any major differences in your songwriting then to your songwriting now? Yes!! My writing have definitely grown from the time I started, and I’ll say the biggest difference from then to now is my Approach in bringing froth the message I’m trying to bring. I am a Christian artist and I also started off doing music that only the people in church could understand, but there was a disconnect with the ones outside. And the Disconnect happened for a long time in gospel cuz it wasn’t Relatable to some things people were actually going through. So my Approach in bringing forth the message of the gospel in a way that it connects to people in the church and the ones out, would have to be the biggest difference I see in my writing today. What are some challenges you’ve faced in creating “Takers” Ah wow the biggest challenge I had in writing Takers was actually writing a song about takers! Lol I’ve heard Celebrities say that once’s opportunities started coming their way their Circle changed. And I feel like none of us ever sees that stuff happening to us cuz we think the people we have around us are Genuine. But sometimes all it takes to reveal the fakes is your blessing to come first. So the toughest thing in writing Takers was writing it cuz it came from an actual experience. What motivated you to write “takers” !? What inspired me to write Takers was the fact that I Experienced it, and also around that same time I saw others going through the same thing as well. So I felt like it was something that needed to be addressed and I’m happy i did cuz the response has been amazing thus far. What’s next for you through 2019? For 2019 I’m really focus on finishing up my  debut Album which would be called Real Talk. But I’m also excited to drop 2 more singles off my album and continue my Growth as an artist and hopefully inspire others to step outside of the box yet still staying true to yourself and what u believe in. • "Sprite" Is A Refreshing Beat From Artist Caleb Bowser

Singer/Songwriter Caleb Bowser from Richmond, Texas is currently a high school student whose first introduction to music was learning to play the piano. He has been releasing singles and an EP that he produced and has learned how to make different kinds of music. Caleb produces and writes his own songs with the intention of his listeners being able to relate to the lyrics and has been learning some tricks about production and singing along the way that will be shown on his upcoming album. With influences from the Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B and Electronic genres, he wants to hear something a little off from one genre in his production and wants this album to be the first step in his musical journey. The unique and haunting melody of “Sprite” is lighthearted and something that society needs right now. Adding a bit of flare with each layer of sounds, this mix of genres has a very down to earth tone with low vocals that flip between singing and rapping the lyrics. With an individualized style Caleb Bowser tells a story of being thirsty and meets his intentions of wanting to connect with a listener on a personal level – I’m sure you’ve been super thirsty. Though this song is not of a serious nature like some of his music, Caleb still creatively makes the connection and you can really feel his character through this track. With beats that you can really get moving to, and a chorus that is bound to get stuck in your head, this track is a imaginative way of presenting something that happens to everyone at some point in their life, if not frequently. Listen to "Sprite" here and get to know more about Caleb Bowser below! Hey Caleb! Fantastic to chat with you! Can you tell us a bit about yourself? Hello! Well, I'm 17 years old from Richmond Texas. I'm a high school senior getting ready to graduate, and I'm trying to figure out what I want to produce music wise. It was only last year I started producing my own music and decided to share it with people. Next year I'll be attending the University of Houston to study Computer Science, but I'll also be pursuing music. What inspired you to write “Sprite”? Sprite is my favorite drink and I wanted to write a song about it, so I wrote about a situation that happened. So, literally, the person I'm talking to in the song is asking me if I want a drink, and I wanna Sprite. It was at a party and we were hanging out and he asked if I wanted a drink, and I wanted a Sprite. The chorus wasn't initially me whispering Sprite, but after saying Sprite throughout the chorus, I knew it was so much more fun that way. What artists do you draw your musical inspiration from? There are so many artists I draw inspiration from! Sabrina Carpenter is my biggest influence. The way she sings, the lyrics, and the melodies she has are amazing and she inspires me to sound the way I do. Another would be Charlie Puth. He's amazing at production which I love about songs is how they are produced. Michael Jackson is another big one because I grew up listening to the Jackson Five and him with my dad. Michael Jackson's style and vibes are what I hope to radiate in my own way one day. One last major influence I want to say would be Conan Gray. His lyrics are spectacular in every way with being relatable. Also with his production, it's indie with pop that's the perfect mixture and he inspires me to sound the way I do, taking from multiple genres. Others would be Mariah Carey, Zedd, Owl City, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and Troye Sivan. Do you find that it is difficult trying to write music that connects with people on many emotional levels? I do actually. I think that to write emotional music, you have to be vulnerable when writing. Something about how the song's written, or how the song is sung can deliver how much it actually means to the artist. If it means so much to me when writing it, then I know someone out in the world will feel it too. If I don't feel a certain way after writing the song, then to me it's not complete. In my song "Sprite", I feel connected to it in a fun and fresh way. It makes me feel good and wanna dance. So yeah, It's hard to write and make a song that'll connect with people and make them feel a certain way. What can we expect from you in 2019? You can expect more music for sure. My album "Summer Experiences" comes out May 13th! It's something I've been working on for a while now and I'm so excited to share with everybody! Each title is something that'll happen to someone in the summer, but each song may not be specifically about summer things. Sprite along with 8 other songs deliver stories that I hope can be relatable and also you can vibe along to. I'm super-duper excited to release it! • Social Circle’s Time Has Come With New Album: “The Look In Your Eyes”

Social Circle brings 80s synth soundscapes and poppy present sounds into a fertile middle ground that delights listeners. “The Look in Your Eyes” will set your body free with the dreamy synth sounds and high energy beats. The vocals showcase Social Circle’s honest and pure songwriting that are meant to transform sadness into motivation and self-discovery. Social Circle have brilliantly married the sounds of 80s power pop anthems and dance club hits, combining both with an irresistible chorus. “The look in your eyes” shows their progressive, beautiful and infectious songwriting at full stretch. Social Circle is a quartet from Lafayette, Louisiana and is made up of good friends Matt, Jacqueline, Gabe and Frank. The group aims to push boundaries with genre-bending soundscapes and songs that engage and uplift listeners. Matt, the lead singer explains: "We want our fans to know that we're here to party and love on them all at the same time; that it's a great time getting to escape from all of the bullshit, but we aren't afraid to admit that it's unavoidable at times. We don't ignore the hard stuff. We just turn it into something beautiful." Bathe yourself in glitter and neon and stream “The Look In Your Eyes” today on Spotify! Keep scrolling for Social Circle's interview with BuzzMusic. Hi All! Thank you for taking time out to speak with us today! Can you start by telling our readers a bit more about Social Circle and how long you’ve been together? Hi! So, Social Circle is an electronic pop band out of a small town called Lafayette, Louisiana. We draw a ton of influence from 80's power pop like Phil Collins, David Bowie, Madonna, and ton of new stuff like Empire of the Sun and CHVRCHES and Troye Sivan. We've been a band for about 4 years now and love putting off the energy of a power pop band with a killer, energetic show. We're a quartet on stage, made up of male vocalist Matt McElveen (that's me), female vocalist Jacqueline Davis, bassist Gabe McCassey, and drummer Frank Castro. Off-stage we've got a cowriter and producer named Paul Broussard who's basically a 5th member of the band. Can you tell us the meaning behind your new album “The Look In Your Eyes”? "The Look In Your Eyes" is a lyric that came from one of the songs on the album called "Bring On The Fire," but best represented the honesty that this album is really working for. One of the most revealing things about a person is generally the looks that they give off with their eyes, and no matter what, they're the ultimate tell-tale sign of how you're feeling in any given moment. People always say I'm a terrible liar, because my eyes always give it away. Despite being an anthemic, electronic record with a lot of dance influence on it, it's lyrically pretty raw and honest, so the name "The Look In Your Eyes" really made sense. I'm probably the most proud of the fact that we were able to capture some of the most emotionally intense scenarios in this album without weighing it down, but instead found clever ways to wrap them up in these dancey, powerpop wrapping papers. But, no matter how fun some of these songs sound, if you look and listen carefully, you can really hear what each song is honestly trying to portray emotionally. What about the 80's pop genre is appealing and influential for you? A lot of people lately tend to refer to the 80's because of the aesthetic or because of the cool, vintage synth sounds, but the biggest thing for us with the 80's is the sincerity and power and drama behind the actual songwriting. I love that, in today's landscape of intensely and insanely produced pop music, a lot of those songs still seriously hold their weight. Anytime I hear 'Easy Lover' by Phil Collins or "I Would Die 4 U" by Prince or "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin, I'm so sincerely moved, maybe even more so than I am by some modern stuff. So many of those songs are just iconic, and not because of their cool sounds, but because of the drama in their incredibly memorable vocal melodies that stay with you and songwriting that you absolutely have to sing along with. Those songs have always just been so powerful to me. One of my favorite 80's tracks is "I'm Free (Heaven Helps the Man)" by Kenny Loggins from Footloose, because the vocal melodies are filled with all of this insane drama and urgency. It's cinematic in a way you just don't hear anymore, and that's the part of the 80's pop genre that influenced our album the most. What does your group’s creative process look like? It can vary, but generally it'll start with a sort of raw song idea that I've cooked up in my spare time. I'll have either started something on an acoustic guitar or started with a production idea, and write and record a demo for it late into the night. The next day, the rest of the band is waking up to an e-mail with the subject line I'VE GOT A NEW SONG FOR US like it's the Bat Signal, and next thing you know, we're all assembled to address and work on the song as a band. It might getting live drum or bass tracked,  or new vocal recording from our female vocalist Jacqueline. It might even just be all of us just sort of critiquing and rewriting it together. Eventually it goes from being an idea I started with to a piece of work that we've all constructed and refined together. What’s next for you guys? Now that this album's finally seeing the light of day, we're looking to just keep riding the wave we hope it stirs. First we'll release more video content for this album, like a music video or a live performance video. Then we're really just hoping to start getting on the road and showing the rest of the world just what we're made of. Playing live is our favorite part of this whole thing, and we've built a live-show that's out of this world with infectious energy, so it's time for us to take that show on the road. Hopefully, we'll be posting a long list of tour dates before 2019 is over. And in the midst of that, we've even considered releasing some acoustic versions of some of these songs! You never know what we'll be up to! Stay connected and up to date with Social Circle through the bands website and socials: Facebook Instagram #BuzzMusic
