  • Wavii Brings Us "Gold"

Wavii is the co-founder of The Fly Go Gettaz, which is a multi-talented collective involving singers and rappers from New York City. Wavii intends to bring a new perspective to his listeners. Wavii’s track titled “Gold” has a music video which was shot by CHDProduction. The video is in a classroom setting of people in detention. Setting up the story line with a short introduction scene, the song then jumps into a heavy beat and solid verse. High school is something that everyone had to go through and can relate to so, seeing this video brings back a kind of nostalgia of teenage rebellion. The scenes transition from the classroom to cafeteria and driving in a car. Wavii has a fun vibe in this song and brings fresh sounds to the music scene. Wavii certainly has a charm to him which makes his tracks more appealing and an instant bob. The story line of the video is fun and sweet as we see that by the end he ends up talking to girl, but with a twist since we see that he was actually asleep the whole time dreaming up the whole scene. Wavii brings feel good music, with stunning visuals and a spot on your playlists! Connect with Wavii on Instagram. #BuzzMusic

  • Adam Gokcebay Released His Addicting Single “Pretty Please”

Adam Gokcebay is a 17 year old from the San Francisco bay area who dropped his hit song titled “Pretty Please” after releasing his first song over the past summer titled “Reasons”. “Pretty Please” is a great digestible song for this current upcoming spring break season. Imagine riding down a highway with good friends and good music--enjoying the vibes between you and your favorite people while feeling the good energy from a trendy pop and R&B hit. That’s the aura you feel while listening to “Pretty Please”. Although the record isn’t necessarily a downbeat love bop, the lyricism contained within the song discusses a relationship between two people, however it’s projected in a more light-hearted and up-spirited delivery. It’s also a wonderful song to share with a loved one or that special someone you want to share smiles and moments with. Adam Gokcebay being so young yet so talented and his ability to fabricate a well detailed hit like this is just exemplification of how he’s the next big thing on the rise. His witty lyrics shows off his charismatic character and outgoing personality. You become a fan for not only his song but his authentic propensity to reveal his charming attitude which requires a certain caliber of skill to do with your music. Adam has a nice vocal tone that shows light elements of a rapper in my opinion. I can see him transitioning into the rap genre effortlessly. He can be a unique weapon in the music industry that will break barriers if he allows his multifaceted vibe to translate! Be sure to give Adam's "Pretty Please" a listen to on Spotify! Get to know Jaz Vernon with our exclusive interview below! Jaz we really love what you're doing right now, can you please tell our readers a little bit about yourself? Sure, I’m 23 years old, born and raised in the City (NY). Music has been my life ever since I can remember. As a kid growing up with one parent from the Caribbean (Trinidad) and the other from Africa (Nigeria), I’ve always been surrounded by music. Music is a major part in both of my cultures, so in my house there was always some type of music playing almost everyday and night. As a kid, I self taught myself how to play the piano, and then later learned how to play other instruments including the trumpet, drums etc. I loved playing instruments and the unique sounds that each instrument makes. Back in high school, I decided to start writing songs, rapping, singing, and then I began producing. Music is my life man, being able to put what’s on my mind into the form of a song is kind of therapeutic at times. A lot of people just wanna make music to be famous these days, or make music because it’s trending, which is cool, but for me, it’s more than that, it’s more than a hobby or a passion. It’s a part of who I’ve been and who I am. What would you say is your standout feature about your music? If I had to narrow it down to one thing, I’d say it would be the energy, harmonies and melodies I choose. Usually in most of my music, you can hear melodies that resemble those you might hear from R&B songs in the 90s. Because I learned so much from that era in music and developed this genuine appreciation for it, it’s almost second nature to use what I’ve leaned during that time, and implement it in the music I make now. How excited were you to release “Race Me”? How is "Race Me" different than your past releases? I’d say the feeling is past excitement, I haven’t released music in almost a year. It gets frustrating trying to balance school, music, and a job all at once. But I decided to finally give more of my time to what I do best and I feel like I should have made that decision a long time ago. What’s different this time around is that I have NOISE in my corner. Before, I’d just release music and just promote it myself without much of a support system, but in today’s era of music you either need a team behind you or you have to go viral. So I chose to have a team behind me so that I could focus more on what I need to do as an artist, without the distractions and other things hindering my creative process. “Race Me” has some real flirtatious lyricism! What motivated you to write "Race Me"? Honestly, I wrote the song based on an encounter I had with a girl at a party a few years back while in college. Yes, I remember being at this big ass house that one of my friends threw every year. There was this one girl who I had been talking to here and there, just had met her a few weeks before that. Anyway, we both were with our own group of friends, the regular shenanigans. there was a point where I was plotting to pull up on her to see wassup, but it was dark as hell in there and the smoke in the air made it really hard to see inside. I’d see her for a good 10 seconds each time. I tried to get to her side of the party, then she’d disappear. At some point I really thought I was tripping. I had all these things I wanted to say if I had the chance to but, it was looking like a dub because she kept on disappearing. After more time passed, I managed to finally find her towards the end of the night, to pull up and make a little small talk even though I hate small talk. Keep in mind though, it’s pitch black in there, smoke all in the air, music blasting so loud you could feel the base in your chest. Probably not the best time to have a convo right? But after the party let out, we found each other again and ended up linking,  staying up all night just chopping it up. It seems like more of a cliche these days, but I was really just trying to just get to know her, feel her vibe out and she actually turned out to be one of the coolest girls I still know today. Are you planning on releasing a video to “Race Me” soon? Yeah! I’ll be releasing a promo video for the song as well as a lyric video for people who need the lyrics. What can we expect from you next? I plan on releasing an EP soon, late spring or early summer, as well as releasing cohesive visuals. I also plan on touring as soon as I can because I’m eager to meet the people who genuinely connect with me and listen to my music. I’ve only seen tour life from the outside looking in, so switching perspectives is something I’m looking forward to. Connect with Jaz Vernon on social media: Instagram Facebook #BuzzMusic

  • New Rock City Keeps The Ball Rolling With New EP "Emergency Platform 1"

New Rock City, is a rock band formed in NYC in 2010. Rossano (vocals and rhythm guitar) & Kick (lead guitar) met that year taking the same cab after a concert at Jones Beach, and upon discovering their same affinities in music, decided to start the project as a duo playing acoustic shows around the city since 2011! It wasn’t until 2014 when the band decided to go on tour, they became a four piece group with the addition of  Jem Warren on bass and Tim Kuhl on drums. New Rock City released their progressive rock EP titled “Emergency Platform 1”. Beginning with the perfect introductory record, “Emergency Takeoff”, New Rock City sets the bar high for this project and we will see if they reach the expectations! I started listening to "Emergency Takeoff" and I liked how they began with a countdown while the guitar strings climaxes in--it was a real flavorful way of kicking off the record! The edgy vocalist gives off the whole rock n' roll vibe with her gritty and valiant attitude. That lionhearted spirit just carries the song from the beginning to end. It’s so infectious and contagious where you’re immediately pumped up and slowly just become “drugged out" by the starter song, giving you the anticipation for the next record! The next song “Right Now” keeps the momentum going. I mean, the bar has already been set high so New Rock City couldn’t just leave us disappointed right? “Right Now” was less aggressive but in this songs case, the main highlighted focus was the dream-like melody. Highly bizarre and atypical from rock music, is the incorporation of an ethereal jingle but New Rock City gave us that, and they executed it precisely. At this point, I’m impressed with the versatility this EP has while sticking to the nature of rock music. So now will the closing record on this EP completely rapture the bar? New Rock City says it “Loud and Clear” that they aren’t here to leave their listeners disappointed but yet leave us wanting more! “Loud and Clear” wastes no time with giving us a consistent guitar riff, not allowing us to calm our highly energetic and charismatic energy. My favorite lyric was “Hear me loud and clear, I am here to stay”. It was the perfect response to the question of can they perfectly execute an EP without any moments of dismaying songs? Well, they did exactly that. Not only did they gain a profound amount of respect for their ability to stick to their style while giving you small moments of bubblegum pop, subtle vigor, and atmospheric haze. Check out New Rock City's EP now on Spotify, and read below for the bands exclusive interview outlining the creation process of "Emergency Platform 1" and catch the band live at the Coney Island Baby in NYC on March 14th! How did the conversation come about when you guys first met about forming a band after discovering the passion for music!? Forming a band was something that we didn't plan or expect while  meeting each other. Everything was a series of unexpected events which we couldn't imagine would've happened. We met in the summer of 2010 after a show in Jones Beach, we took the same cab to get back to the city and we spent the whole trip talking about music and why we ended up in NY. After that, we got together to jam and the musical connection just happened. We clicked immediately and began to write solid songs. At the end of the summer we had enough material so we decided to go out there and play those songs around the city and we kept doing it for a year or so. We both had our solo projects, however, we felt that we had to do something together, it felt right and exciting so we became a duo before going as a 4-piece band. After some acoustic shows and more writing together we decided to record an album. In that moment we knew that this was going to be a serious and solid project. We went in the studio two years after we met (Kick and Rossano) and started the recording for our debut full-length record. Can you tell us a little bit about your first full length album, “New Rock City”? In Sept of 2012 we went to Connecticut to record in only 6 days. We decided to self-produce the album with the help of engineers Paul Frye and Roni Pillischer at Carriage House Studios. The experience was very special and it went by so fast! We were practically in the middle of nowhere, sleeping at the top of the house right above the studio for 4-5 hours to get back to work very early in the morning. More than 15 hours recording everyday, non-stop. It was an exhausting week but an unforgettable moment for us as musicians. We felt so inspired and creative. This record was a total reflection of how we felt in the summer of 2010 when we met. Every line of every song is related to that time. We felt so inspired by bands like The Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads, The Clash and Pretenders. We were hanging out around Bowery where CBGB's was until it closed its doors, Lower East Side and East Village. We absorbed that energy that once was alive visiting every single place where those artists from CB's used to go, every corner of the city seemed to talk to us. We didn't intend to recreate anything in that record, it just happened that every song we wrote absorbed that energy from us. How did that pave the way for your artistry later on? What we felt and discovered about ourselves as musicians when we first met and wrote together was basically what would pave the way for our artistry as a band, as a team. That identity has been growing progressively since the first time we grabbed a guitar and played the first chords and melody of our first song called "All Yours" (which has never been released), and even before that, before we met each other, we were already paving the way while growing as kids cause we always knew what was going to be the way to take. As kids we developed a profound interest for music and for the arts in general. Cassettes, vinyls, posters, guitars..., all this was all over the floors and walls of our rooms. We are talking about the mid 80's..., that's when it all started. How has the production for “Emergency Platform 1” been for you guys? This first EP 'Emergency Platform 1' is part of a new EP Series and has taken a different feel from our previous album. It has been clearly inspired by various movie characters from retro sci-fi movies and sagas. The imagery and vibe of Flash Gordon, Logan's Run and sagas like Star Trek for example, have influenced the concept behind the visuals and artwork that we created and designed to promote the EP that opens this music saga. The apocalyptic landscapes of Kubrick's 2001: Space Odyssey and Hitchcock's cinematography also helped to conceptualize this work. Artists and poets like Patti Smith, Joan Jett, Brian May and bands like Queen, Black Sabbath, Beatles (White Album era) among many others were on our everyday playlist rotation. So we found ourselves in the middle of a deep creative vortex last summer when we started to centralize and focus all this on the structure of this first 3-song EP. Each one will have its own identity and flavor as well as its own influences. We wanted to start a very versatile and deep project with a strong message behind. How this will end? Who knows, it's a total mystery.. For the production of 'Emergency Platform 1' we worked with producer Matt Chiaravalle. The sessions were great, a lot of fun, everything was flowing smoothly all the time and Matt was able to bring out the best in everybody. We lost less time with the details because he was able to pinpoint the best takes quite fast. We recorded at Mercy Sound Studios in Manhattan in the East Village so the atmosphere was great, we could feel the city's rock n roll vibe the whole time! Any favorite songs from your albums? Which and why? Hard to pick one. All of us have our favorites depending on the day. We feel different with each song cause each song has its own identity and vibe, which is something that we always try to keep alive, the versatility in the songwriting is essential so each track has something special for each of us. How excited are you to perform at the Coney Island Baby on March 14!? Ever been to the venue prior? It's always exciting to play in NY and next Thursday, Mar 14th will be a blast for sure! We've never played at this venue, they opened their doors recently. We've been playing in the NY music scene for some years now. We're used to play at the Bowery Electric and Berlin a lot and we plan to go on tour soon. Stay tuned! Connect with New Rock City on social media: Facebook Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic

  • Jheron Staley Drops A Vibe With Latest Release "2392 Miles"

Hitting play on the Soundcloud link for this rancid guacamole of a heartbreak track, my instant response was, “Aww cool!” With a decent helping of bruised indie pride, bandaged in a lettuce wrap of basic but interesting synthetic keys and informed by the chorizo of modern hip-hop, his latest single “2,392 Miles” is a tasty street taco of a production from 22-year-old LA resident Jheron Staley. “I wrote my first song at 10 years old,” Staley said. “It was about a girl I liked in my 5th grade class.” Well, this one’s about a girl too it seems, and, yeah, it doesn’t go so well for Staley. Luckily his experience as a Hollywood High Drumline member and making beats in Logic comes in handy to let us in on his pain. This comes in somewhere just under the radar of the vaporwave set, a sort of residual smog from J. Cole, Tyler the Creator and MF Doom. There’s the requisite laissez-faire IDGAF attitude, presented as a stark paradox, given how much it’s clear he does give. It makes me want to learn how to skateboard and get good enough to hit rails all along Echo Park, so I have some way to hurt myself when things go sideways. Staley kills it on the delivery of the title numbers. You can just vibe with it. There’s even a super crunchy guitar solo that gives up on itself halfway through, before deciding to ramp up again. The words could be ripped straight out of a spiral notepad, like scribbles you look back on that have a strange beauty to them. This is downtempo emo rap, a slow morphine drip to get you through the hard times. Definitely want to see some more complex lines in the days to come. But for this emotionally destitute effort, it’s kind of nice to fall into those mumble rap tropes. Here it makes sense. Because here it reminds you this is a kid who knew how to get close to someone, even if his heart ultimately caught an edge and got smashed up on the concrete. Bravo Jheron! Listen to “2,392 Miles” here and get to know Jheron Staley in our interview below! Do you write all your music yourself, or where do you get your beats from? I write all of my music! I always try to write everything I make just to avoid copyright claims and such. I also want to challenge myself creatively and musically. Is there somewhere you like to go to to be most productive musically? I love to be in my room with the lights off, a lava lamp on, and my beats on a computer playing on repeat. Before doing this, I do everything that I need to do in the house to make sure I have absolutely no distractions. What are your goals for your music? My goals are to inspire others, especially the younger generation. Most people would say fame or awards, but I honestly just do it for the art and the love of music. Another goal is to make my music timeless. The Beatles, Queen, 2Pac, NWA have music that are timeless and will resonate forever. I want to replicate that and just create music that anyone can relate to. Do you write one song at a time, or do you have like, a zillion beats on your computer you're working on? I have a zillion beats on my computer!  I really do. I’m just waiting to find the right muse and lyrics for each of those beats. So yes and no, I have beats ready but I do write one song at a time. What are some of your favourite spots to be at for inspiration? I love being in my room with the lights off. It just gives me a vibe that helps me get into my thoughts clearly. The recording studio is always great; that helps me precisely get everything right and perfect. Hiking, road trips, just the outdoors in general help me get a clear mind. Also, your music has this underlying darkness -- almost a nihilism -- the kind I'll sometimes hear on that LMU station 88.9 FM when I'm stuck in traffic on the Sepulveda Pass. Where does it come from do you think? I think the darkness of some of my songs are just based on the harsh reality. Personally, I’ve been in a funk in my life and have been through a lot. For me, these songs expresses anger, sadness, bad break-ups, evil people, and many more. Life is beautiful and I love what I do. I’m not a very open person so to me, this is the best to way describe the emotions I’ve felt. I am super nice and humble though, I swear. • Solara Premieres New Music Video "Worship"

Solara is a 23-year old pop singer/songwriter originating from Uruguay. Currently, Solara is based in Europe to continue to pursue her goals in music. Growing up, Solara’s family wasn't interested in music, and so as a result, Solara wasn't able to have much access to it. Once Solara was able to get her hands on some music, she knew then and there that music was her purpose in life. Introverted and sensitive, Solara found music as her way of communication and therapy. Solara just released a new single and music video for her titled track “Worship” and we're super in love with it! What a vibe! The music video starts off with a slightly eerie sound but eventually jumps into an upbeat electro kind of dance music. Solara’s lyrics are sensual along with a driving distorted chorus that makes for a unique sound. The storyline of the music video shows a darker side where Solara shows her dominance over men and how they think of her as a goddess. This song would make a good dance track to get the party started. Solara has a soothing voice and is able to capture and deliver her vision in both music and visuals. Bravo Solara! Stream "Worship" here and get to know Solara in our exclusive interview below! What is the meaning behind your song “Worship”? Worship is a celebration of women, a song about female empowerment with a sexy twist. It’s about a woman who’s in charge of her sexuality. There are many songs out there about relationships and sexuality, but the woman is usually the submissive one. I wanted to give a fresh new interpretation to that, one which I think is particularly relevant nowadays. What is one message you hope your listeners will get from this song? I just really want to stress the idea that women can be dominant and sexy and in control and that shouldn't be a bad thing or a turn off; as much as the fact that, man can be submissive and they can enjoy their sexuality however they want, and that doesn't make them less of a man. What is your favorite lyric from the track? I truly love the opening lines: No religion I’m his blind faith Every goddess
Shines through my face When writing this song, we really wanted to play around with religious notions/concepts (religion, faith, paradise, hell, mercy, etc) and sort of give them a new meaning, hence the title, “Worship”, and I think we managed to achieve that, specially in those lines. Are you still introverted or has music overtime helped you become less introverted and sensitive? I am and I think I’ll always will be. Social interactions can get a bit draining to me and I almost always prefer to just stay at home with a book and some tea, but music has helped me connect and communicate at a deeper level with myself and others. Music will always be my favorite language. What is your favorite scene from the music video and why? I think my favorite scenes are the ones at the abandoned place, where the man is sitting in the chair, in chains. I loved that location (an abandoned amusement park in Bali), the whole concept and the role play, and also the outfit, which made me feel very confident and sexy. • Guess Who Produces Hazy Tune "Love You Till I Die"

Guess Who is a vocalist and producer that comes from Seattle Washington. He’s been producing music for less than a year due to coming from a musically inclined household. He’s currently experimenting to find his own sound but it seems as if he may know what his niche is with the atmospheric and ethereal sound “Love You Till I Die”. The release of this provisional record has many unique elements that makes it a groundbreaking hit. “Love You Till I Die” fuses together multiple different components of various different genres which includes pop, trap, hip-hop, cinematic sound FX, and alternative electronic. He takes a little from everything to fabricate a beat that becomes magnifying and riveting. I like how he also included vocals which was a great detailed effect on the song due to the texture that surrounds his voice. It’s soft and delicate so it’s perfect to manufacture a dream-like omen while listening to the song because you fall victim to the magnetic resonance and delicate, cloudy melody. Guess Who exceeded my expectations as a beginner in producing, and there’s no doubt in my mind he has a prosperous career ahead of him. Give a listen to "Love You Till I Die" now on Spotify, and read below for Guess Who's exclusive interview! Guess Who you’ve only been producing for little less than a year now! What encouraged you to begin and how has it been so far? I wanted to be a musician for as long as i can remember. I started rapping when i was 14 years old, and it came pretty naturally because I had listened to my dad drum for my entire childhood so groove and rhythm came pretty naturally. A lot of people don't know this but i was extremely nervous and self conscious about making music back then- I was always concerned about what people would think in my home town cause there weren't very many "Rappers" so to speak. That self consciousness really hindered me in my younger years, but as i got older I got over it and decided that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks about my music. Now I just make music that I like, and let it attract whoever it might attract.Getting over that fear has helped me progress immensely in a short amount of time- and my music is getting so much better, It's really starting to show. I shifted my attention over to producing because I wanted to be able to create my own instrumentals and my own beats. I actually just recently fell in love with EDM Music so my music has a big electronic influence now. When producing the song “Love You Till I Die” what was one of the most challenging aspects? Heres a funny story about that actually hahaha. We recorded that entire song with the mic backwards and it wasn't until we were recording the very last chorus that we realized we messed up. we spent a couple more sessions recording with the mic on the right way but we couldn't get the same sound that we wanted so we just said F it, and stuck with the original recordings. It ended up working out in the end, always check your mics people. How would you describe the beat in “Love You Till I Die” from an artist perspective? I would describe "Love You Till I Die" As an example of the great music you can make when it comes from the soul. The vocalist on the song is one of my best friends so everything came so naturally, the vibe was always great from start to finish. I wrote that song from a broken heart, and I kept that same emotion the entire time I was making it. Music is always better when it comes from raw emotion- we never wavered from that and in turn we got a great track. What’s the whole meaning behind the record? "Love You Till I Die" is about heart break and being scared that you're going to Love the person the person that hurt you until you die.I wanted the drop to be Happy and Bright because its like a major contrast from the lyrics. it symbolizes a shining light in the darkness- the fact that eventually you'll heal, and have this amazing break through into happiness again. Have you noticed any growth in your producing since you began and now? Yes I have noticed a huge amount of growth in my production since i started. 7 Months ago I could barely figure out how to make a drum beat in my DAW, fast froward 7-8 months and I am composing entire songs. It just goes to show, you can do anything you want in life as long as you combine passion and hard work. Keep up to date with the latest on Guess Who via the artist's Instagram! #BuzzMusic

  • BruhitzTahj Releases Spirited Hit “Party”

BruhitzTahj is a young/pop/hip-hop artist who hails from the suburbs just outside Philadelphia. A unique new artist who has catchy looks, uplifting lyrics, and positive motives, he believes in living his best life at every moment and is always supporting kids who feel like they can’t conquer the world. BruhitzTahj released his anticipated hit, “Party” and just as the title says, it’s the perfect song to play at a party! “Party” in my opinion is a replica of the fun in today’s generation. Living life, stress free, and enjoying the moment is the vibe you get from listening to this song. It’s all about positive vibes and i love the vibrancy and exhilarating charisma portrayed. If you become intune with the lyrics you can hear how he’s discussing the party nature we’re familiarized with. Meeting new people and making connections with others. The delightful lyricism enhances your mood automatically. I mean, who doesn’t love a good song that talks about the optimism and constructive in life? I know I surely do! Whenever I listen to this song I start to envision bright colors and luminance and it’s just an all around happy aura you receive. Check out "Party" now on Spotify, and scroll below for the artist's specially curated interview! How was your upbringing and how did your environment and residence impact your music style in any way? My upbringing as an artist started out smooth because I actually knew my sound, found my base audience and knew how to deliver as a growing artist. I grew up in a generation where most older generations generally dont understand which impacted what genre I wanted to make along with the environment I grew up in. I wanted to make people feel good, to turn a bad day into a good day just by singing along to good energy filled lyrics. In the suburbs, everybody wants to be cool, hip and that's just not me, I was never a follower, and never intended to blend in. I always thought what if i can help somebody whos been depressed or stressed out or just afraid to be a leader or be different. That's how my environment impacted my sound because the good image of who to look up to just was not there. “Party” is a fun song to listen to! What was your inspiration to write this? My favorite story! I was actually on my way to the city of Los Angeles, and we all know the traffic is crazy, later the night it was planned I was going to my first party ever in L.A. so for some odd reason, I started to think about school and Friday nights, planning a huge party. so the day after the events that took place, I quick wrote it down, and a year later I recorded it. So every time i sing my song it just brings back an awesome memory of when i was in high school of kids like us just having fun after school on the weekend, as life should be. Go to school all week, plan party's on the bus for the weekend, spreading good vibes with the homies. What do you think is the best setting to place yourself in while listening to “Party”? The best setting would of course be at a party or just cruising around in the car with some friends. What’s next for you through 2019? Whats next for me is to keep growing as an artist, inspire more people to be themselves. I want to help kids feel better and have more motivation to chase their goals just like me. Honestly, anybody can and I want to prove that statement. More song releases, videos and some merch will be coming out throughout the year. I want to keep breaking into the industry and be heard globally  You will keep hearing more of me, so keep your eyes and ears open! • Blvck Sun Blesses Us With New Single "On The Daily"

Blvck Sun is an artist who knows the type of music he wants to make and how he wants to be interpreted by his listeners. He’s aiming to curate ‘feel good’ music that could be timeless and memorable. He released his single titled “On The Daily” that has a euphoric and vibrant beat with an effortless flow that weaves the line between trendy yet individualistic. He has a slight J. Cole vibe to him which I personally find to be a great appeal due to how J.Cole constantly creates good music with great lyrical content. Artists like Blvck Sun and records like “On The Daily” is a representation of the meaning “Make music, not songs” (except it’s not an actual phrase, just something I created that I believe should be an actual denotation). And, to expand the idea more, he spends his time creating such a sound that leaves lasting effects on his listeners. Perfected melody, perfected bars, and a perfected beat. The whole purpose of making music is to deliver us an ageless bop we can jam out to years later, instead of making songs with limited to no effort that’s only hot for the minute but has no extravagant flavor to it. Blvck Sun in no doubt is the artist who leaves an imprint on his listeners. Give a listen to Blvck Sun's "On The Daily" here, and scroll down for the inside scoop on the artist's inspirations! So where are you from Blvck Sun? How was your upbringing? I was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio. Parents were divorced. Mom was big on education. She worked really hard to get her Ph.D in Phycology My dad was an entrepreneur that owned and ran several businesses. Having these two influences taught me to be educated and also taught me that it was possible to work for yourself and still make a living. Another big influence on my child hood was where I went to school. I went from the first half of my life going to all black schools to in 7th grade moved out to the suburbs and all of a sudden I was in a predominately white school which changed and shaped the way I look at the world today. Is “On The Daily” your first release? My first release was a song I put out called “Hangover Music” I have another single called “Lit” That seemed to be a real fan favorite and I also Released my first full project “2 Tales 2 Stories” back in October. How was the production of the visual for "On The Daily"? The production on the “On The Daily” visual was amazing.  Two of my best friends where in the video to complete the concept and Even though each character in the video is different they all represent a piece of me and the experiences I’ve been through to shape the person I am today. Do you have any music inspirations who inspired your artistic vision for timeless music like your single “On The Daily”? My real life is what I use to inspire timeless music. Speaking from experiences and things I have actually been through gives it a relatable-ness that all music must have to withstand the test of time. If I had to give other artists that have inspired me musically I would have to say Kanye (especially his older works) Jay-Z  J. Cole also some Wale who doesn’t get enough credit for his abilities. What else can we expect from you in the future? You can expect more great music more ideas that challenge what we know about music. I am developing new outlets for artists to be able to express themselves in other ways and also developing ways for people to get to know me as a person outside of the music. • Long Beach Artist Captures Us With New Hit “Martyr”

In the current age of R&B music, people are tending to become more attracted to the classic sensual energy that R&B possessed back in the day. R&B is not only soulful but it’s also a highly seductive multifaceted genre and many of the iconic R&B songs we know of are catered to the lovemaking late night vibes, and or romantic ballads that creates meaningful moments while listening. Christopher Klint, an upcoming artistic perception who grew up in a family of music in Long Beach, CA is an indicator of the new age classic. His family were instrumentalists which made him a natural at the baritone saxophone back in high school. He recorded his debut single “Ride The Wave” in his student corridor room in college. After many more releases, performances, and positive feedback from others, Christopher is back with his vibe “Martyr”. The song beat has this nice smooth trap beat that progresses throughout the tune. Christopher begins with serenading his listeners with his trendy and wavy vocal style that reminds me of singers like Bryson Tiller. After showcasing his detailed vocal tone and sleek resonance, he gives us punchlines and metaphors while delivering a rap flow on his concurrent R&B beat. I believe “Martyr” could translate highly well across many different music lovers due to how popular fitting it is to the current culture of urban music. It could become a playlist success and skyrocket the career of Christopher Klint due to the appealing aura and flavorful aesthetic. Don't miss out on Christopher's "Martyr" by checking it out on Spotify! Scroll below to read the artist's exclusive interview! Growing up in a musically inclined household, were you a fast learner when you began instrumental playing or was it somehow still challenging for you? I would say I was a pretty fast-learner. It helped a lot too that I loved the saxophone and thought it would help me serenade all the girls. Even though I didn't succeed with serenading them, I was still heavily invested in music back in high school. I also have two very encouraging parents who love jazz which made me feel less bad about hurting their ears during the early sax practicing at home (sorry Mom and Dad!). Do you notice any major improvements between the release of “Ride The Wave” to your release “Martyr”? Definitely. The first thing I would say is the production quality. For Ride the Wave, I mixed and mastered everything myself while on Martyr I had major help from my friend (and one hell of a producer) Daniel Saouk. He produced, mixed, and mastered Martyr and he has really taught me a lot about the production process. Feel free to show him love on IG (@dsaouk)! The second thing I would say is the artistic depth between the two songs. What I mean is that, for me, Martyr was an opportunity to try something new for me as an artist and I really felt more invested in being innovative in comparison to Ride the Wave. I still love Ride the Wave of course, but it comes across as more of a party/summer song in comparison. What kind of vibe do you think the listeners should have or receive while listening to “Martyr”? I think the vibe the listeners should expect is a mixture of chill/laid-back intensity. I know that description doesn't make too much sense, but the song itself takes you on this journey between varying levels of intensity from start to finish. I believe it also depends on how much the lyrics resonate with you as a listener. My vision was to write a song for the struggles of overcoming setbacks and pursuing your dreams. If that's something that really hits home for you, then you will experience an increased level of intensity I think. If you could’ve collaborated with any other mainstream artist of your choice for this song who would you have selected and why? Definitely 6lack. He is one of my favorite artists right now and one of my huge inspirations. His musical ability to make any track a hit and take the listener on a journey with his storytelling really resonates with me. Plus, it would be amazing to meet and learn from him! What is the big dream for you? My big dream is definitely to go on a world tour. I love being on-stage and the thought of performing in front of a live audience that sold-out the venue gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. Another reason would be definitely the traveling. I want to touch people with my music and having the opportunity to meet fans in their city to exchange experiences and help one another is the ultimate goal for me.
