- Rolling Cole And Infrared Joined Forces To Deliver "Livin' Like a Rockstar"
Everyone loves a good collaboration! When two artists comes together and fuses their sometimes complement and sometimes unassociated styles together the result could be extravagant. Rolling Cole musically clashed with Infrared in a badass and electrifying way, collectively releasing a hit “Living Like a Rockstar”. “Living like a rockstar” begins with a hit hook that people can sing along too and become eventually agitated with the fact that they can’t help but sing it at random times of the day. I like how the hook has this delinquent and chaotic lyricism to it. The first verse with the first rapper has some of the most intricate and dope metaphorical lyrics. “Cause this country boy stay turnt, this backwood stay burnt” I loved how careless it was, giving the rebellious spirit of the rapper straight into the listener. The second verse transitions in and his flow was impeccable. His ability to keep his breathe control intact while not missing a single beat was admirable and gave him a sense of respect as a lyricist and rapper in my opinion! Jam out to "Livin' Like a Rockstar" on Spotify, and don't forget to catch the both RollingCole and Infrared's exclusive interview below! Hey guys, care to introduce yourselves to our readers? RollingCole: Hello Everybody, I’m RollingCole, also known as “Cole Buffer”. I am a 24-year-old full-time college student at the Art Institute of Atlanta. I am pursuing my bachelors degree in audio production. There aren’t really much to know about me all. The real thing to know is I’ll take my shirt off my back for you. Infrared:I go by Infrared420. I call Kalamazoo, Michigan home and have been doing music for about seven years now but I've been a real music head my whole life. Raised on everything from old school rock to hip-hop and everything in between. Rolling Cole what prompted you to want to collaborate with Infrared? RollingCole:Truthfully I didn’t know who Infrared was until I started talking to Mitch Kutter about the 51/50 mixtape. Once I got the no the whole group and I started listening to Infrared’s music I knew how talented he was. I ended up adding his Song wolf on my playlist on Spotify. Infrared - what made you agree to the collaboration!? Infrared:Mitch asked if Cole and I would be willing to do a bonus track for the mixtape. Cole brought up the idea about doing a track based on living like rock stars, and they say write what you live about right? So it just came natural, Cole sent the hook and his verse, then I channeled my inner Ozzy Osbourne, wrote some lyrics down, hit the mic, and boom Livin' Like a Rockstar was born. What is the most challenging aspect of collaborating on a rap record? RollingCole: Well you really are hoping that the song comes out with the same vibe as you and that other artist is that you're collaborating with. You want the song to be is as vibeing to the audience as it is to the artist’s making it. So I always make sure when I’m collaborating with the artist it’s somebody that I can hear myself being a part of on a song with he or she was on it as well. Infrared: One of the most challenging things for me when it comes to collabs is making sure everyone is on the same wave, we all like the beat, we all like the theme (if there is one) to the song. If we can't click on any of that then it's going to hurt the track, but this one went smooth, and I'm stoked to keep working with Mitch and Cole in the future. If you guys were to add ONE more artist to this song who would you add and why? RollingCole: To be honest I would want to hear kid rock on this song. Or mixing it up a little bit and get some lil John on here with a couple “Yeahhhhhssssss”! Infrared: If I could add another artist to this track I'd have to go with Corey Taylor from Slipknot, the dude can sing his ass off, he can do the brutal stuff and he can rap. Plus I think it's safe to say he knows how to live like a rockstar. Keep up to date with RollingCole on his Instagram, as well as Infrared on his. #BuzzMusic
- NYC Native HOLDN Drops A “Fine” Hit
New York City’s own self-proclaimed ‘rhythmic disciple,' HOLDN, has made quite the arrival upon her first step into pop music with her debut single, ‘BURN’. Hailing from the alt-rock world, HOLDN brings a full plate of emotion and honesty with a sharp-toothed side of unapologetic wit to the pop table. With a dark and edgy exterior, HOLDN graciously lures you in with her mysterious aesthetic and soulful, yet haunting, melodies. The release of her newest single “Fine” is an example of representation for that mystic vibe she’s most known for. The cultivating melody charms you in with the hit beat that supports the single well and plays its role as the perfect base. I like the beginning introduction of “Fine” with the computerized vocals and electrical establishment. I liked how witty the lyrics were as well, it showed me that HOLDN knows how to fool around with good wordplay, making her a more well-rounded and standout artist in my opinion. She even showcased her poetic lyricism around the 2:25 time frame in the song where she delivers a subtle rap flow for about 10 seconds. HOLDN has all the ingredients that makes someone a star, now the only question we have is would she be able to consistently deliver hit records like this one? Add "Fine" to your Spotify playlist, and be sure to check out HOLDN's interview below! How has it been growing up in New York City? Do you think your environment and background influenced your music in any way? I lived in Jersey for most of my life, but I like to say I slept in Jersey and actually did all of my “living” in New York. Living here in nyc has been a long time coming and has always been a goal of mine. This city changed my life and made my skin as thick as the leather on my jacket (and believe me, that’s the good shit. I’m Italian. I was basically born in a leather jacket). Considering the culture of the city and it’s impact on me personally, I’d say it had a huge influence on my music stylistically and emotionally since everything I write is always very personal. I actually have the Manhattan skyline tattooed on the inside of my bottom lip because the city taught me that I always have to be quick with a sharp tongue. How would you personally describe your music style? Dark-pop. What was the inspiration behind the song “Fine” ? I find myself alone when I need people the most. I’m never one to reach out for help because I’m extremely independent and prideful. It’s my achievement and my demise. There’s a ton of text threads I saw on my phone one day and they all come to a dead end when I say “it’s fine” or “I’m fine” when I’m honestly not fine at all. People accept the word “fine” as a good enough excuse to get away with doing you wrong by not being there when you need them to be there the most. So I rely on myself. I can count on one hand (or less) the amount of people that I trust. And from that concept, “Fine” was born. How and/or where do you find inspirations for most of your songs? Rock bottom, over the moon, in the rain, in the park, on the subway, everywhere and anywhere. What else can we expect out of HOLDN through 2019? New music, tons of shows. All of that fun stuff that I love doing. Don't miss out on the latest with HOLDN by checking out her website and socials: Facebook Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic
- New Music: "Birdy" By Crowd Of One
In a bare, airless back room, lost in the labyrinth warehouse in Hackney, London 2014, Crowd Of One emerged. Blissfully engulfed in a haze of cigarette smoke, music instruments and computer cables...there came, the improvised yet haunting, fused melodies that cascaded down the corridors, leading to the creation of this solo project. And if you’re wondering what I’m discussing? I’m talking about the vaporous release of the single “Birdy”. The contentful and immaterial record that holds deep lyrical substance to completely capture you and ravish you into the music. The vocal tone has this insensible energy you become deaden to due to how enticing it is. It’s idiosyncratic and different from any other voice, distinguishing it and making a more of an impactful sound. What I love most about this single is how it slowly but surely built a climax in tempo. The song went from dull and subtle to passionate and medium pace. However, Crowd Of One allowed his musical expression to be displayed by channeling in whatever character he mentally selected for the song at that specific moment and it was obviously showcased. If you don’t allow “Birdy” to open your emotions and thought conviction while listening, then you’re listening to the song all wrong! What are some of the biggest factors you consider when putting together a track? Most important thing about producing a track is feeling inspired, therefore for me there is not much to consider rather than actually diving into it when it happens and most of the times it happens on its own and especially during a deep night when everyone is sleeping. If i put myself down and order him to produce then i will definitely create something not worth while and probably delete it next morning! So, yeah imagination is bigger than the facts! What made you want to set out on a journey into the musical heart of darkness in the first place? I know no other way but the musical way of life. Since i can remember myself i have always been passionate about all the instruments there are really, and couldn't wait to get my hands on each and every one of them and start learning. With regret i can say i only play five of them , the most common ones, so far. All sounds and frequencies are different and special and therefore are unique and i always try to imprint them in my songs the way i hear them in my head and for some reason although all state of minds are equal and beautiful in their own way, i like the darker version the most! I find more character in it, happy tunes make me bored, haha! As i always quote: I like beautiful melodies , telling me terrible things! Describe what the Hackney, East London, scene is like for musicians these days East London is an amazing place for artists of all kind...You can hear all types of music in all sorts of venues, especially the underground ones, they blast with music! I would say for musicians it is great but there is also a massive competition! There are way too many musicians all around trying to make it...and we all have to walk the walk ,no one said it would be easy, but trying is winning! Have you given any thought to your musical goals? After having played many different types of music genres, either live instrumental ones or electronic twisted dance ones, i have ended up with this solo project Crowd of One in which is a One Man Show Live and i try to give the audience a show of true effort and passion for the non conventional - commercial sound. For me if you play live and get payed to play your music, hell...you should at least work for it and give them your best, whatever that is! On that thought i do my best to produce my best and hope to reach more human ears , among other creatures in this world, haha...i would like to share this journey with as many as possible i can! After all that is when your music truly grows roots, when someone somewhere is Listening. What’s the key to bringing a song to completion and not letting it languish in hard drive obscurity? Now that is one part every musician struggles here and there! Two choices: One and best one too: All the base and feeling of the track comes at once...the kind of day you just don't stop and it comes out of you like a storm! Two and most common one: You build a sense of the feeling of the track and then you just let it go for a while! Repeating is like death for a track, it just blocks it all out! After some time you accidentally hear it and go like, now that is nice...and you grab it exactly where you left it from! There is no promise any track will ever stay with you for good, music is just a beautiful mistake and everything in between! Connect with Crowd Of One on social media: Facebook Instagram
- Side Eyes Releases Hazy New Single “Be Lost”
Coming from San Diego, CA a new addition to your ‘Night Driving’ playlists, Side Eyes. While he’s just debuting his first single “Be Lost”, he’s still constantly working on music and is planning on dropping more releases later on. “Be Lost” is the perfect ethereal sound to fabricate a sense of belonging while listening. Regardless the mood you were in prior to listening, the moment you play this song is the moment you become infatuated by the sensational feeling of otherworldly sounds and dream-like synths. The atmospheric instrumental lacks vocals and lyrics yet still gives its listeners the freedom of expression to create a storyline they feel is most fitting for the music. It’s a great record to kickback and relax, and remove all your day to day conscious thoughts and replace it with in the moment unconscious thoughts due to the jubilation and euphoric music. Set a moment for yourself driving through the night, rain pouring, windscreen wipers wiping the water off the shield, and you’re just free from any stress at the moment, driving towards a destination where you will feel delighted and replenished. That’s the environment I pictured while listening to “Be Lost”. What was yours? Get lost in the ambience of "Be Lost" on Spotify, and scroll down to get to know Side Eyes better through their exclusive interview! What encouraged you to create the stage name “Side Eyes” ? I actually created the logo I use before I even had music recorded. So when looking for a name to put all my music under, it only made sense to try to think of a name related to “eye(s)”. Lo and behold.... SIDE EYES. Is the electronic, pop, but downbeat style of “Be Lost” the type of music you aim to create? Yeah exactly. I already have a backlog of songs ready to be released & they all have that “Be Lost” style to them without being copies of one another. “Be Lost” has this unique ability to create vivid images in our heads, what do you imagine while listening from your artist perspective? What I imagine when I listen to ‘Be Lost’ is the POV of a person driving a car at night. Mainly because that was my view when listening to demo versions of this song. How excited are you to further release more music? I’m really looking forward to finally releasing my songs to someone’s ears that isn’t just my girlfriend’s haha. What else can we expect out of you? - Artist Of The Day: Yungtrey Releases New Single “Made The Love”
YUNGTREY has a nifty little production on his hands with “Made The Love.” Recently the pop world got hooked on an easy-going Island sound typified by Rhianna’s forays towards reggae and furthered by the Latino flow of J Balvin and Willy William’s “Mi Gente.” If you take some of that energy and drop it down to a pop-soul lilt with a trap off-ramp, you’ll have an idea of the realm in which this song exists. It’s by rapper and songwriter Anthony Dumas, who hails from Houston, Texas. He only recently (April 2018) started dropping tracks on his SoundCloud. “Made The Love” has the ultra-crisp programmed drums, what sounds like subtle auto-tune and just a hint of a reverbed vocal layer. It sounds more sleek than the typical Instagram-hip-hop fare, but just as bold. It’s bangin’ like that girl you’re going to meet at the beach, tasty like the apple pie your boy hooked you up with at no charge, satisfying like how you thought the City towed your car but it turns out you just didn’t see it there. It’s music where you look stone cold on the outside, but you’re smiling deep down. And you can’t wait to see her. Listen to "Made The Love" here, and learn more about YUNGTREY in our interview below! I am an independent Contemporary Christian Artist and Songwriter from Brooklyn, New York Can you give us a brief history of your musical career? I began singing and writing songs at age 6! My father sings and my mother was a professional dancer. I went to Performing Arts Middle School and Highschool, where I learned classical music. I was one of the lead singers in the youth choir / ministry at my church from age 12-16. We also toured the US and Canada during Summers. I was discovered at an open mic by a famous Pop Music producer and introduced to the music industry also at age 16. I learned how to write pop songs and record vocals and music professionally. We wrote many songs together, some of which are being played in Europe. Worked with various other music producers and performed throughout NYC. But unfortunately did not land a major recording contract. After that devastating period in my life , I stopped singing and writing for 7 years. Then God began speaking to my heart and called me back to singing. How did you come up with your name? Shanta is my real name. Is there a meaning behind it? I think in French it means song or to sing. Do you write your own music? Yes, I write my own song lyrics and Keyboard melodies. Can you tell us a bit about your writing style? I love to write about real life experiences. I find that with Christian music the words are often inspired by the Holy Spirit. It's a beautiful thing. We’re really into your new song "In a New Way"! Can you tell us a bit about it? Its my declaration to God that I needed Him to fill my life a fresh because I am not the person I was before and never will be again. I was delivered from depression and many entanglements of the enemy. A few months later I attended a Worship concert featuring William McDowell. That night I believe that there was a special anointing imparted to me. When I went home I picked up my keyboard for the first time in years and composed the entire song with lyrics completely by myself. It was magical, like the prodigal child returning home. - Rikke Normann Unleashes Her Truth With New Album "35"
Rikke Normann released her dazzling album titled “35” with a collection of hit songs that all holds a memorable impact on its listeners. “35” begins with “I Belong” and I interpreted that this record was about the nomadic sense someone has to explore their future and fulfill their purpose in life, although being unsure of what to expect and what the upcoming has for her. However, she feels content in the comfort of someone in specific who makes her feel as if she’s going to be okay. “All I can see is, that you’re my home” the song is about warmth and compassion between two loved ones. Or can metaphorically represent her love for something else that brings her serenity. The next song “Fire” transitions in, adding that dark element to her album. The vocal resonance converses from a light and innocent melody to a more sassy and ferocious vocal tone and quality--especially during the climax belt which highlights the passion in the music a lot more. What turned me into a fan however was the third song on this album, “It’s Complicated.” For one, I love how Rikke is able to switch up her style and not stick in one plethora of music in every track because then she would become boring. However, this has a more rnb and soulful flare to the instrumental. But what I really liked most was how I was able to personally connect to the lyrics. The song discusses how sometimes life becomes complicated and confusing, yet we still know things are going to work itself out. I loved the message behind it, as well as the groovy beat. The next song that transitions in is “Fragile” which was the dope collaboration between Rikke and Bernhoft. “We are so fragile in the way that we live.” Rikke continues to discuss for the people and the toxic mentalities we have that can destroy our own thinking when going for things that make us happy in life. She proves that her music lends as a helping hand with her next song “Oxygen” when she says “take my hand I’ll help you to your feet again, give you oxygen, to breathe.” You feel a sense of comfort as if Rikke is telling you personally that she is here for you and your mental state if you feel numb or down. The next song that transitions in the album is called “All I Got”--it’s a more jazzy and groovy single compared to the songs prior. “You keep me on the brighter side of purple,” plays and I think the whole message of the song was to be more delightful and positive, obtaining a more charismatic aura about it. Rikke continues that positive and gleaming spirit with her next release titled “Birds,” and the tune was still blooming across the entire aesthetic of the album, which completely enthralled me with the joyful melody.“Sorry Bebe” took me for a surprise with the enticing introduction and the funky rock soul instrumental alongside Rikke’s beguiling vocal resonance. The song discusses about a breakup and how the girl is basically unbothered by the situation. “We grew apart, we grew apart from each other”-- it is the perfect song we can add to our playlists if we ever want to feel replenished after leaving a relationship that we no longer wanted! In the ending of the album, the sensual and erotic single “Rip It Off” transitions in with a more sultry vibe and provocative lyrics that pushes the boundaries and exceeds her exploration of different characters throughout the entire project! In conclusion of this multifaceted album, “The Waiting Game” is the perfect closer to "35" and we can end off the magnificent versatile album with a song that discusses the patience and virtue our society is upholding at the moment. And in my opinion, that concept highlights the overview of “35”. Download Rikke's album "35" on Spotify, and get to know the artist through our interview below! Rikke when did you begin singing? I don’t really remember when I began singing, but I remember that I started singing because I heard songs in my head. I needed to get them out of my head so I started singing and taught myself to play the piano. I think I have unknowingly always been a songwriter by heart. How was the production process for “35” any struggling moments? “35” is an album recorded live in the studio, and it has been the most pleasant recording process I have ever been in. I think it's because this kind of process fits my bubbly and sort of impatient personality, I like capturing moments and feelings, and sometimes find it hard to do over, or recall, a certain vibe. I am a live artist, so to record like this is where the gap between live performance and studio is the smallest. We did have some struggeling moments in the few add ons we did, but they were minor. Sometimes taking a little time to let things rest is all you need to resolve it. Not listening to the track for a while will most likely make you see what’s missing when you pick it up again. I think recording with the right band and producer, where everyone is on the same page, togehter with having songs that play well acoustically, makes a recording process go smoothly. Or maybe we just got lucky! haha ;-) You explored different sets of mood throughout the album, which was your favorite and why? My favorite on the album has changed many times already, but I always return to the last track on the album “waiting game” It feels very me in mood, a kind of patient impatience. This is what feels the most me. The song is complex, but then again not, it’s both dark and light, energetic and relaxed at the same time, full of contrasts. How do you try channeling in the emotion for the specific song of your choice? The songs and emotions usually come out together when I write them when they’re born. It all happens at the same time, the mood and emotions of the lyrics or melody will make me look for certain chords, either to contrast or emphasize what I want to express. Out of all the songs on “35” which do you believe holds the most impact and why? I am currently on a quite large scale "living room" tour in Norway, with over 35 stops on the way, and I can already tell from the gigs I have had, and what my listeners say, that “Oxygen” is making an important difference in peoples lives. This makes me really happy because it’s a very special song to me, but it also has a very important message. Oxygen wants to help someone who find them in the darker corners of life, before it’s too late, and I want to make people aware and open their eyes to see if someone around them is hurting or in trouble. It’s so easy to miss or hide behind a perfect smile in this busy world we live in. What’s next for you? What’s next for me besides finishing the release & “living room” tour I’m currently on, is starting to work on a new album!! :-D The songs are pouring out as always, and I am more restless than ever to get started on making new music. 7 new tracks are all ready to go, so lets press record! (also there will be more video’s, a live album and gig’ing! - oh, and a little vacation in there maybe ;-) Be sure to stay connected with Rikke through her website and socials: Facebook Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic
- Eryka Cooper Hits Home With Her Latest “Till He Comes Back”
Eryka Cooper is a Cuban-American Country Girl who is also a proud military wife, a Mother to a 3-year-old boy, and a singer/songwriter, who has an extreme admiration and love for True Country Music. Starting her studies in singing and music of all varieties at an early age, she realized that Country Music was what inspired her most! Guided by her faith, family and community, Eryka Cooper has been able to create amazing and wonderful friendships that have helped shape her new music and musical career. Since the release of her new single, Eryka Cooper has been back in the studio with her talented musical team hard at work creating powerful music. “Till He Comes Back” is a song that describes Eryka Cooper’s military wife experience, admiration and love for those who “adopted” her into their families and gave her love, support and everlasting company through some real hard times. For this reason, “Till He Comes Back” is dedicated to her military “adopted” family, the Thompson’s and the amazing people of Leesville, Louisiana; among others. This song is definitely a strong military anthem. A tune that makes you proud to be American and a reminder of how lucky we are for our military. Starting out giving us classic country vibes with great strings and powerful vocals. There’s a steady two-step about this song that you can’t help but to line dance to. I love how you can hear the passion, pride and love in her voice for what she is singing about. You cannot deny or miss that fact in this classic country single. Make sure to add Cooper's "Till He Comes Back" on your Spotify playlist here. Hi Eryka! Care to introduce yourself? Hey, I go by Eryka Cooper, I am a Singer & Songwriter born and raised in Miami, Florida. I am a Cuban-American Country Girl, true to my Latin roots with the biggest Country heart. Family is everything to me, I am a Mother to a 3-year-old boy, a Proud Military Wife and a Grateful Daughter. Can you give us a brief history of your musical career? I started studying Opera and singing at the age of nine, studied piano at the age of 7 and I am currently teaching myself how to play the guitar. Music is in my blood and runs deep in my heart and soul. I have always loved and listened to Country Music, however I truly fell in love and inspired with Country Music while living in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style? Yes & No. Most of my songs are personal to me, the ideas and story behind them, however they truly come to life when I collaborate with Chris Price, an amazing person & musician. He understands the direction I want my music to take, so by working well together magic strikes, stories come to life & an incredible song is created! Congrats on the release "Till He Comes Back", it's a fantastic song! Can you tell us a bit about it? “Till He Comes Back” is my personal Military Wife story, the loneliness, struggles, and sadness that I had to endure alone. It talks about the years my husband served and how I was far from home alone with just my dog and flag and when it was once again time to say goodbye, whether it was long training or deployment, the Community Leesville and more specifically my military “adopted” family, The Thompsons embraced, loved, adopted and supported me through some really hard times. The Chorus speaks their words saying “you don’t have to do it by yourself, you always have friends” and how “I don’t have to be alone”. With my own Family & The Thompsons by my side, they made me a stronger woman. I am so proud of this song and it’s in dedication to The Thompsons, Leesville Louisiana, and All Men & Women, and especially their Spouses, who Proudly Serve Our Country! Where did the inspiration behind the song come from? The Thompsons where a huge inspiration to this song, they gave me so much love, support, guidance and helped me realize that I am much stronger than I give myself credit for. My husband, who I admire and am very proud of and my dear friends, the spouses of the men and women who serve this country! To them all I am eternally grateful! Who are your musical influences that have helped shape who you are as a musician? Why? I have a lot of influential moments that have helped shape my musical career, however my father is probably the biggest influence. He has been playing the drums since he was 14 and is my musical gene. Growing up listening to him play, watching videos and now having the privilege to perform live with him has been a little girls dream come true. My mother is my biggest fan, without her as a manager I’d be lost and completely disorganized. She guides me, keeps me grounded, reminds me to be true to myself, and always has my back! My parents have always motivated me to study music and if it were not for them I wouldn’t have grown with the love to sing and write my own music. I love them both with all my heart and I will forever be grateful for all they do for me. Another powerful influence in my life was having the honor to work alongside with an amazing man and musician, Richard Warren Rappaport. He was my entertainment attorney, a man who believed in me and my talents and who opened the door to never-ending possibilities to help me reach my full potential and pursue what I love to do most, sing. Thanks to my main influencers and support team I have been able to follow my dreams & meet and work with such amazing musicians. What’s next for you? Since the release of my new single “Till He Comes Back”, I have been back in studio finishing two more singles and I’m in the works of creating an album. I am grateful to be working with an amazing musical team at Bullseye Productions with Rudy Perez and Chris Price. I look forward to our studio sessions and creating powerful and inspirational music. I will continue to work hard to follow my dreams and goals in singing and writing Country music and I can only hope that one day my songs are being sang and played all over the world. We’re definitely keeping an eye on this artist—her music gives us the life we so desperately needed these past few days. Be sure to add Kingsley's "You" to your Spotify playlist, and don't miss out on this artist's exclusive interview below! Hello! Can you introduce yourself to our readers? Kinglsey on the M.I.C. getting ready to rock ya body! I've actually always wanted to do that on stage - one day! I'm Kingsley, an indie pop singer! Did “You” come out the way it was initially envisioned? The song You has been this seed that has grown into an amazing tree, legit cannot handle how amazing it the entire process has been. I wrote this song on the guitar and recorded it on my iPhone and sent it to my good friend Jack Kennedy of Zarr Studios - the original idea was to make this song a ballad - nice and slow and super sad. Which is how I play it when I do stripped down sets. We get into the studio to start tracking a demo and we are just flying back and forth with ideas when I say the melody you hear in the breakdown after the chorus hits. Well, Jack hit the ground running with the idea. Once the original was out it was the crowd favorite to play! Fastward to when I started doing the remix project with my friend, Yoswayy. He was obsessed with adding all types of drums and guitar licks to make this song every more dancy. I out my pride and control freak down and let Yoswayy be as creative and liberal with this song - the produce of You (remix) is because of him. And I am beyond thankful and grateful to have amazingly talented people in my life. Where were your influences drawn from in order to create “You”? HAHAH! A STUPID ASS FUCK BOY! I was going to call the song his name but I didn't wanna single him out like that, cause my mama taught me better than that. What kind of music can we expect from you this year? I am releasing an acoustic album in the spring, 4 new pop singles in the summer and some fun music videos in the fall! I am continuing my project Twelve Months of Kingsley - where I release new content on the 23rd of each month! So stay tune, 2019 is going to be a hell of a year. How did you know that a career in singing was the one for you? In 3rd grade I won a talent show singing Fallin' by Alicia Keys - I remember practicing in my room with a broomstick as a microphone. I have always wanted to be on the stage singing and making people laugh and cry - it is so cliche to say that it feels like home, but legit nothing else makes sense. I just quit my day job as Head of Marketing for the biggest indie booking agency to do music full time because I have been so miserable giving my time and attention to anything but Kingsley. What piece of musical advice would you give to yourself 5 years from now? Don't give up on this dream - ever. This is what you were put on Earth to do, and when no one else believes in you remember that I do. Catch up with Kingsley on social media: Facebook Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic

Tajonyx has been featured in several media vehicles/publications including Golden Isles magazine, Coastal Illustrated, and The Columbus Ledger Inquirer, and has collaborated internationally with artists such as UK DJ/Producer Noco Beats and Domestically with artists such as Darnesha Allen and James P. Tajonyx's Debut EP "Armor of Onyx" Tells the story of a faith evolution. "Photo Cred," the newest single, is a natural evolution into more of a pop realm, hitting on the topic of heartbreak but never negating the danceable sensibility his fans know and love him for. Such a heart throbbing song! I find myself relating to the storyline and the heartbreak. I really love how he was able to blend a mixture of pop and RnB, and I definitely hear the soul! This really funky cool beat you wouldn’t think goes with something like this lyrically but it goes so well! During the chorus there is an additional beat drop and it really makes this song unique. His vocal tone is crazy and his sound is something I haven’t heard before. It’s almost ambiguous and I love it! Bravo! Don't miss out on "Photo Cred" by adding it to your Spotify playlist. Get to know Tajonyx through the artist's interview below! Hey! Could you please introduce yourself to our readers? Hey readers! My name is Tajonyx. I'm a independent recording artist originally from Columbus Georgia. When did you realize your passion for music? This is a hard question for me. Alot of people don't know what they want to grow up to be, until they get much older. I wasn't one of those people. I've been singing and dancing for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories are of my mom and I cleaning around the house and harmonizing with one another. Where were you when you the idea came about for this track “Photo Cred”? It was about 3 years ago. I was in spin class. As I was working out, I thought about my one of my favorite 80s songs. I thought it would be such a cool idea to mix the nostalgic vibe of the 80s with a Pop/R&B sonic backdrop. What are your goals for those that listen to your music? Alot of artists try to keep things light and fun. I don't. I strive to make you dance, but to also change your train of thought; to inspire you to finally end that toxic relationship, to remember your first heartbreak, etc...I want to be the listeners audio soul mate. What can we expect to hear or see from you this year? Well "Photo Cred" is definitely the focus this year. We've still got alot more in store. The release of the audio was just the beginning. Visuals are next. Make sure you all support the single! Its available wherever music is sold! Also follow me on social media (@tajonyx) to stay updated on the single rollout!
