- Paul Bailey Is Tangled In An Exciting Romance On "Catching Feelings”
Who will bridge the love divide first? With his soulful melodies weaving their way into the hearts of audiences wherever he goes, Paul Bailey's discography has long possessed some of the most enchanting underground releases in the scene. Influenced by the soul-stirring sounds of Motown and the magic of Muscle Shoals, Bailey found his muse in icons like Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, which helped shape his identity as a singer, songwriter, and performer. As his star rises, Bailey continues to capture the hearts of listeners, one heartfelt release after another. Bailey’s musical journey began at a young age in grade school; his innate musical talent was nurtured by the discerning ears of his music teacher and principal. With no other formal training, Bailey honed his craft by immersing himself in the melodies of his idols, from the velvety croons of Luther Vandross to the electrifying energy of James Brown. His talent soon found a platform when a chance encounter at a Montreal nightclub led to his song “Part-time Lover” being sampled by none other than the legendary Rick James for the movie soundtrack of “Colors.” Bailey’s latest release, “Catching Feelings,” is the perfect balancing act. Channeling the legendary golden age of soul that inspired Bailey’s musical identity and a more contemporary vocal flair, lyrics like “I don’t know how you feel, but I'm catching feelings / Cause what you’ve said to me makes it so real” are delivered with an ethereal distortion on the vocals reminiscent of modern greats like Thundercat. Bailey’s enchanting vocal performance sweeps listeners into his vast, alluring soundscape, and with the accompanying instrumental complimenting his singing perfectly, “Catching Feelings” makes for a truly breathtaking release. With his soulful melodies continuing to find their way into listeners' hearts one by one, Paul Bailey’s artistic future continues to be bright. Welcome to Buzz, Paul Bailey! We loved “Catching Feelings,” we had to ask! What was the inspiration behind this release? Were you drawing from personal experiences? Yes, I was acquainted with someone I met years ago. It didn't go anywhere, but on our second meet-up years later, sparks flew, and that's where the song begins. What’s your favorite part of the creative process, and what did you enjoy most about bringing your vision for “Catching Feelings” to life? My favorite part of the creative process was doing the vocals in one take from top to bottom. There was a live feel to it. I went for it, and this is how it turned out. I enjoyed that the most about bringing my vision to life. What goals do you want to achieve through your music? The goals I want to achieve through my music are to make it go viral, license my music to high-profile synch TV programs, Films, and commercials, write a top-ten hit, and eventually create my own brand line of sneakers or cologne. If your listeners could take one thing away from your music, what would you want that to be and why? I am a serious songwriter with strong material. If the listeners have been following me for a minute, they will hear that, plus they, the fans, have told me many times that the songs are great! What’s next for Paul Bailey, and is there anything you’d like to say to your fans? What's next for me is to continue exploring my catalog for re-edits and/or remixes of material that did not get the right marketing/promotions on the first release. That is what I am feeling right now.
- Cleo Alexandra Laments The Pitfalls Of Lust And Temptation In “Taken by Desire”
The Australian model turned singer-songwriter hauntingly laments the loss of a partner who has given in to lust. Every once in a while, Aussie rock-n-roll has graced us with acts that can only be described as transcendent and genius. Acts like AC/DC, Rick Springfield, Tame Impala, and Tash Sultana set the bar and stage for successive generations of talented Aussie artists, all striving to establish themselves in a competitive environment. Cleo Alexandra has quickly established herself within this environment as an act to watch for the future. With a burning drive to succeed and a penchant for adding touches of realism, grit, and flair to the classics, the former Miss Australia turned singer-songwriter will definitely be someone you want to keep tabs on. A keen student turned occasional collaborator to some of the Aussie greats, she released her self-titled debut album “Cleo Alexandra,” reimagining classic Aussie hits and showing off her signature flair. The album even featured a cameo from Rick Springfield on reimagining Men Down Under’s “Who Can It Be Now,” showing Alexandra’s ability to attract and generate star power. Supported by 6-time Grammy-winning producer Keith Olsen and J.J. Faris, the sky is seemingly the limit for this bright Australian talent. Cleo Alexandra’s new single “Taken By Desire” showcases her versatility as she wades into new melodic territory. Over fiendishly spooky instrumentals, Alexandra’s haunting vocals construct a soundscape of vengeful angst. As she sings and laments the anguish she faces as a result of her unfaithful lover (“I realize that somehow I’ve been so blind / “How long have you been tricking me?”), the visuals of “Taken By Desire” juxtapose desire with rage. Alexandra rolls in anticipation in her bed, only to be yanked back to a dark alley of despair. Spooky. Cleo Alexandra’s “Taken By Desire” is a powerful tribute to the angst and anguish of infidelity and relationships. If you're in the ruts of relationship woes, know you're not alone—and let Cleo Alexandra be the microphone to your fury. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Cleo Alexandra’s “Taken By Desire,” available now on all major streaming platforms. Welcome back to Buzz, Cleo Alexandra. It's good to see you again! We loved “Cigarette Lover.” We wanted to ask, what inspired this release? Were the final version and your initial vision the same? Thanks so much; I feel honored! My new single, Cigarette Lover, is for when you’re in your villain era and need a song to sing at the top of your lungs as a cathartic release while trying to move on from your toxic ex. I wrote the song after a traumatic experience in a destructive relationship of my own. I satirized the experience along with the dark places it took me while trying to move on from my toxic ex. The song personifies the pitfalls of an unhealthy relationship. As toxic as a cigarette, every minute spent with this person causes damage spiritually, physically, and mentally. That experience was the inspiration behind the song. Compared to the first version, the final version of the song is much darker in tone and has more of a cinematic feeling. That’s why I created the music video using Kaiber AI to really lean into that darker atmosphere the final mix conjures up. Although there was a learning curve, it was such a liberating experience creatively as I could take the satire of the song to the extreme and bring to life the fictional storyline of a murderous villain known as the Cigarette Lover who is on the run from the police after escaping from Prison. So it’s been a little while since we last saw you when “Taken By Desire” came out. What have you been up to in the meantime, and how have you been enjoying your musical journey so far? Last year, I was lucky enough to re-release a cover of ‘Who Can It Be Now’, which was such a blast. It was a darker take on the song with a horror movie-inspired music video. I also recently returned from my first visit to the US, specifically Los Angeles, California. It was a life changing experience, I was able to write and record some new songs with my producer JJ Farris of Reel Music and my label owner and friend Charlie Templeman who is also an amazing musician. We also filmed some acoustic performances and checked out all the legendary music venues in L.A. that I have heard about all my life. It was inspiring, and I can’t wait to jump head-first into what music holds for me in the coming year. What does music mean to you, and what goals do you want to achieve through your music? Music means everything—it is everything to me, haha. I know that sounds dramatic, but music is a connection. It’s expressing life in a way that cannot be done through any other medium in that very particular way. I strive to achieve this connection with others who can relate to my music through my music. What do you want your listeners to feel when they hear a Cleo Alexandra release? I want them to feel anything, whatever the music and lyrics conjure up for them. That’s what I love about music; the same song can make people feel completely different things. The worst thing to me would be if people felt nothing. Even if you hate my music, I want you to feel something, even if it is hate. What’s next for Cleo Alexandra, and is there anything you’d like to say to your fans? Look out for the Cigarette Lover Remix! Produced by Calibeats from the UK, it's going to be an amazing follow-up, along with the lyric video for Cigarette Lover, which is due to be released in the coming weeks. Instagram Facebook

Bridgeport, CT-born pop recording artist and singer-songwriter Belle VEX returns with a visually powerful music video for his smash hit, "Nobody, But Me." Known for his genuine approach to music creation and emphasis on real-life emotions and experiences, Belle VEX doesn't hesitate to call out other artists and their questionable choices to make money. Seeing music as a passion project rather than leverage to luxury and glamour, Belle VEX is making a significant impact on loyal and new listeners alike. And his latest single is no exception. While we've had the pleasure of featuring "Nobody, But Me" when it first hit streaming platforms, Belle VEX is now treating listeners to the song's new music video — bringing the message home louder and clearer than ever. While "Nobody, But Me" kicks off with electrifying synths and Belle VEX's steamy vocals, he quickly sets the no-BS tone with sharp lyrics that command your attention. And his delivery in the music video is nothing short of captivating. He stands (and sometimes sits) firm in his ground, letting the world know that he's not gonna be controlled and you can't bring him down. The song's message is timeless. It's an anthem of self-empowerment for individuals struggling to fit in, encouraging them to carve their own path and do it with pride. Belle VEX reminds all listeners of how important our unique identities are, and as he dances from room to room, standing his ground, he makes it clear that REAL human connection is what he's after. It doesn't get much more empowering than Belle VEX's latest single and music video for "Nobody, But Me." Give yourself a pick-me-up and find the new video on YouTube. Welcome back to Buzz, Belle VEX! This time around, your message in "Nobody, But Me" hit hard. What did you want listeners to realize after hearing your empowering lyrics? Thanks for having me. At a bare minimum, it’s about self-respect and having respect for others. We’ve been in this time where your value is taken at first glance based on the number of online followers you have or, if you’re an artist, the number of monthly listeners. Since that’s become such an integral part of people’s mindsets, people do whatever it takes to get it. None of that matters in the face of art and the real world. It’s not important, and it could all be taken from you overnight. Everyone’s a gimmick, and everyone’s copying each other. Sometimes, they’re just outright stealing. They think it’s going to be their big break, or it’s a joke, or it’s going to change their life overnight, so they do their little song and dance. It’s high time that stops. This world already has no heroes. Anyway, that’s just sort of where the message starts. Did you work alongside any directors or a team when creating the new music video for "Nobody, But Me"? What was that collaboration like? Yes, actually. I teamed up with Austin Hein, a director in the Tri-State area. He was really cool, and I consider myself lucky to have been able to work with him. Though I originally approached him to do a video for this song, we focused on a set of others. This video happened to be the last video we shot on the day. We had various pre-production meetings beforehand to make sure everything was going to go as smoothly as it could. That was reassuring. The coolest thing about Austin is that he downscaled me when I wanted to up the budget and pay more. He put things into perspective and said, “I’m not going to let you do that. Let’s shoot three videos for the bare minimum of what it would cost.” That took me by surprise and I just felt like I was treated like a person for a moment and not a source of income. In terms of the song itself, how is "Nobody, But Me" different from your previous releases? What makes this song unique? This song is unique because it has no hope. It’s the end of reflection and a warning shot. It’s a boundary. I know that this can only bring one of two responses to it. You either agree, or you don’t. There’s no gray area. I’m wrong, or I’m right. It's argumentative, but it’s true. It’s often not understood what this industry can take from you or what life can take, for that matter. I am done. I’ve got nothing left in me but the truth, and this is how I feel. You can’t sell me on anything, and I’ve never been one to just go along with something that I don’t agree with. In the past, I would set my intuition aside under advice, and that would always end badly. I’ve never released a song that was completely devoid of a future before, and now I plan to show it to as many as possible and let the conversation go from there. I think artists, and people in general, should be more like me. There’d be a lot less noise if they were. What was your experience shooting the music video for "Nobody, But Me"? What was your favorite part of the process? This shoot was great. We filmed at this really awesome location in the middle of NYC which let us project visuals on every wall. It’s called Lume Studios, and so many have used it for different things, but I haven’t seen it used for this. It was such a cool concept. I only had a small idea of what it would look like before we started and it turned out even better than I had pictured..This was also my first time around some of the new equipment we had on set, so that was a joy for me. For such a powerful song like "Nobody, But Me," how did you want the music video to look and feel? Great question. I had an entirely different video idea in mind, which involved parodying a ton of different pop culture characters, but we ultimately went in a different direction. The idea that the video is self-descriptive is a strong thing on its own. “I don’t dance for anybody but me.” is the driving line, and what do you see but me alone? I’m not even dancing. That’s the point. It’s that thin line between degradation and showmanship that I feel so many either do or don’t recognize and unwillingly cross. www.bellevex.com www.youtube.com/@bellevex www.facebook.com/bellevex www.twitter.com/bellevex www.instagram.com/bellevex

The passionate country artist is praised as a dynamic voice in the music industry, landing over 2k monthly listeners on Spotify with only two singles under her belt. As she continues to weave personal tales of perseverance into her music, Chancy is undoubtedly leaving her mark on listeners far and wide. The momentum continues for the tenacious young artist as she releases her debut self-titled EP, Chancy DeAnne. The project touches on themes of strength and determination, not to mention her personal wins and losses transformed into cathartic anthems for maximum impact. It's a comprehensive project that anyone can find a piece of themselves in. Hitting play on the first track, "A Place To Fall Apart," the song opens with soothing country instrumentals while Chancy DeAnne's velvety vocals depict personal, heartfelt scenes of past love that eventually turned to loss. As we reach the cathartic hook, Chancy lets us know that when her world's crashing down before her, all she's looking for is "A Place To Fall Apart." It's a compelling intro track that perfectly sets the tone for the following tracks. Jumping into track two, "Fuck Country Music," a gentle and dreamy instrumental floats through the speakers while Chancy DeAnne dives into her first verse. As she discusses how modern country music has gone south and heard it play over radio airwaves, she dives into a powerful hook that emphasizes the lack of soul, culture, and American red-white-and-blue pride in today's country tunes. It's a wake-up call to preserve this precious genre, and Chancy DeAnne is doing exactly that. Leaning into track number three, "Don't Tell Motel," we're greeted with a tender acoustic guitar alongside Chancy DeAnne's storytelling lyrics that depict the many souls who stop by the "Don't Tell Motel" across town. It's a song that celebrates the state of feeling lost and sad and washing away those sorrows with a drink at the motel bar. Because if we can't celebrate those walls that put up with our suffering, what can we celebrate? It's a humble, chilling listening experience with a sense of community that anyone will appreciate. Ramping up the energy is the EP's fourth track, "Call Me Country," kicking off with a tight rhythm guitar and upbeat drums alongside Chancy DeAnne's vibrant vocal performance. As she dives into various country scenes with bottles and holsters galore, she embraces her country roots and lets the world know that she's more than a lady; she's more than a friend—she's everything country music is supposed to be. And she's wearing that on her sleeve with pride throughout this entire banger, celebrating what's left of the original genre and preserving it with all her might. Reaching the last song on the EP, "Where The Hell'd My Country Go," Chancy DeAnne closes the project with a song that questions where her nation has gone. With more concrete and less pastures and dirt than ever, she's asking the question we're all wondering: is America losing its culture? If anything, it's songs like these that help maintain it. Chancy DeAnne is no stranger to country culture, and this outro song perfectly celebrates it while pushing fellow Americans to do the same. It's a high-energy, infectious anthem that's ready to take the nation by storm. All in all, Chancy DeAnne does an impressive job highlighting tales of strength, determination, and an undying love for country culture in her debut EP, Chancy DeAnne. It's a prime example of how not all is lost in modern-day country music. Hear it yourself and find Chancy DeAnne on all digital streaming platforms.

- Lonesome Joy Walks The "Wire" In Anthemic New Tune
Here's another act greatly impacted by the vibrant nature of Music City. Lonesome Joy, brought to you by piano-pounding frontman Stevie Redstone, just released a sweet psych-rock single titled "Wire." Praised for their unique modern-day roots-rock, classic songwriting, and killer backbeats, Lonesome Joy is inspired by the likes of legends like Harry Nilsson, Paul Simon, and the Beatles. After pairing up with eight-time Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb to record the self-titled and upcoming album, Lonesome Joy, it didn't take long for Redstone to charter new territory with genre-defying sounds. And he does exactly that in the new single, "Wire," a foot-stomping, toe-tapping banger with Americana undertones and a stellar beat. What leaves us impressed is Lonesome Joy's ability to weave such different yet powerful sounds and styles into one cohesive track. But you'll just have to take a listen to experience that. Diving deeper into "Wire," the powerful tune kicks off with loud and proud drums alongside sweet electric organ-like keys and Redstone's slightly muffled vocals, making excellent use of the song's sonic space and atmosphere. While touching on the thrill and risk of walking the wire with it all on the line, Redstone's captivating performance and stacked vocal harmonies leave us hooked from top to bottom. With the addition of groovy psych-rock electric guitar solos and the sweetest keys to ramp up the energy, Lonesome Joy successfully takes us on a sonic journey through the cosmos, where the only thing connecting us back to Earth is that damn "Wire." It's a killer anthem that's bound to get you out of your seat and on your feet. Hear it yourself and explore the captivating sounds of Lonesome Joy in their latest single, "Wire," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to Buzz, Lonesome Joy! What a sensory experience you've provided with your latest single, "Wire." What inspired you to create this high-energy tune? Thanks for having me!.. The song is inspired by the seemingly accelerating breaking down of the fabric of society. Or perhaps the end of the world, at least as we know it, if you wanna be more dramatic. Whether it be due to the media, social media, political divisiveness, human selfishness and its effects on climate change, drugs, stimulation, you name it… But the chorus does imply some hope as were “walking on a wire NEAR the end of the line.” So perhaps we’re not quite at the end yet. What was the creative process like between you and producer Dave Cobb when crafting "Wire"? What was that behind-the-scenes process like? We banged out the arrangement at the studio kitchen table with the same mini keyboard that inspired the song’s main riff. Dave works at lightning speed, and we both had a pretty clear vision for this one in terms of its rhythm and almost psych-rock attitude. So we laid down the basic track live with the band in maybe 2-3 takes before overdubbing some vocals, guitars, percussion, etc. Dave mixed it himself, and I love where we landed. How does "Wire" differ from your previous single, "Roll With The Thunder"? What makes these two tracks unique? This one is certainly darker in its themes and overall vibe than “Roll With The Thunder.” I think “Wire” is unique for its production and sonic landscape. “Roll With The Thunder” is more a fun, soul-rollicker that gets ya moving but does contain a message. What do you love most about "Wire," and what was your favorite part of making it? I love the infectious, cyclical keyboard riff. Also, how the verses say a lot, but the chorus buttons it all up in just a few words. I loved hearing it come alive with Dave and his great studio band. Always a joy to jump from a simple demo to the real thing. How does "Wire" set the tone for your upcoming self-titled album, Lonesome Joy? What should listeners expect from that project? “Wire” is actually the opening track of the Lonesome Joy debut album. I like to think it pulls people in and lets them know a cool journey awaits. Listeners can expect what I humbly feel are a good batch of songs with a throughline - piano-fronted rock n roll tunes that feel familiar and fresh at the same time - that group well together but aren’t homogenous.
