We loved “Ghosts of You” and had to ask! What was the creative process like for this release? Could you take us through it? Thank you so much for having me. This song is so important to me. It really takes my audience on a journey of what I’ve been through over the past few years. For those that don’t know I came out as gay in 2020. I experienced my first love but also first heartbreak. This song takes you on a journey of all of that. From finding my truth at the age of 20 to then being haunted by the ghosts of a relationship I cherished. The song wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible support and help from my team. Creating it involved formulating my overall story and knowing what I wanted to say. I then worked with the producers and songwriters to express all my emotions and pour them into ghosts of you. It required me to be vulnerable and honest and not afraid to tell my story. What’s your favorite part of the creative process for making songs, and why? I definitely saw my story come to life in the songwriting process and really got to express my emotion from the beginning. It allows me to just be so real and connect with my audience. What goals do you want to achieve through your music? With my entire new EP I really want to connect with my fans both existing and the ones that are yet to discover me. It’s a goal of mine to be an icon and a really strong influence in the LGBT+ community, inspiring those that have been on a similar journey to myself. I want share the message of trusting the process of self discovery. My overall goal is to continue to create music and perform on stage for people. It’s what drives me. What does music mean to you, and if your listeners could take one thing away from your music, what would you want it to be? Music is incredibly important to me as means of self expression and creativity. I use music to process and convey my thoughts, feelings and experiences on issues close to me. I hope listeners resonate with the messages I convey through my music, see themselves in it and that it provides a cathartic experience for them to process their emotions as well. What I write in my songs are real life stories and experiences that i want to share, I hope in some way it resonates and connects with those that listen. What’s next for Anthony Lucas? Is there anything you’d like to say to your fans? You can expect a lot more songs and live shows to come. I plan on heading back to LA in 2024 and get back into the studio. Instagram Facebook

- POCKiT Discusses Sonic New Album “En Camino – On Our Way”
Welcome to Buzz, POCKiT! We are so excited to discuss your new album, “En Camino - On Our Way.” We couldn’t wait to ask, but what inspired this project? Thank you for having us! "En Camino - On Our Way" is a culmination of our collective journey as a band. We drew inspiration from our own experiences, individually and as a group, and channeled that into our music. The album reflects our diverse backgrounds, musical influences, and the vibrant energy of the South Florida music scene. Also, it reflects the band's experience of our show with incredible musicians from our tour visit to Mexico. So, how did POCKiT come to be? Give us your origin story! POCKiT started as a collaboration between Chip Gardner on keyboards, Moises Linares on drums and cymbals, and Jason Spencer on bass back in 2017. We began jamming together and quickly realized there was something special about the chemistry between us. As we continued to evolve and refine our sound, Joshua Walton, a rising bassist from Miami, FL became the new member on bass. In 2021, we crossed paths with one extraordinary up-and-coming guitarist, Sebastian Pareja. We enjoy collaborating with new musicians, and for this album, we’re extremely excited to feature Itawe Correa and Jota Freire, Grammy winner and nominated artists, as well as Andrew Amengor, Luigi Arredondo, and Fat-Mojo, (Jimena Oropeza and Jerry Montana) from Puebla, Mexico to expand our sonic palette further. Regarding “En Camino—On Our Way,” which song are you most excited for your fans to hear and why? All of them!!! Lol - That's a tough one! Each song on "En Camino - On Our Way" holds a special place in our hearts, but if we had to choose, we'd say "Mocoso" and “No Headlights.” Those two tracks capture our essence as a band - funky, energetic, and unapologetically unique. Plus, it features some incredible guest musicians we collaborated with, so we can't wait for our followers to hear it. If your fans could resonate with one message from your music, what would you want it to be and why? More than anything, we hope our music is a source of inspiration and joy for everyone who appreciates original music. Whether getting lost in the groove, connecting with the lyrics, or simply letting go and having a good time, we want our music to resonate with people on a deeper level. At the end of the day, music is a universal language that can bring people together, and if we can be a part of that, then we've done our job. What does music mean to you, and is there anything you’d like to say to your fans? Recording and performing music is everything to us. It's our passion, our purpose, and our way of expressing ourselves to the world. We pour our hearts and souls into every note we play, and we're endlessly grateful to everyone who follows us for their love and support. Without them, none of this would be possible. So, to all of our followers and supporters out there, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We hope you enjoy "En Camino - On Our Way" as much as we enjoyed creating it. Keep on following the POCKiT, and we'll see you on the road soon! Instagram Facebook
- Jon Tyler Wiley And His Virginia Choir Make A Rallying Cry For Mindfulness On Their New Release, “Mission”
It’s all too easy to be absorbed in your electronics today. Drawing inspiration from folk legends like Dylan and Prine, Jon Tyler Wiley and His Virginia Choir have managed the impressive task of carving a niche for themselves, even within a competitive music industry. This innocent project would quickly become something greater, formed initially by a group of friends who would play cover songs together in a tavern. As they continue to light up the scene one song at a time, these talented musicians are definitely ones to watch for the future. Fresh off the release of their critically acclaimed album “Pictures in the Dark,” Jon Tyler Wiley and His Virginia Choir have once again proved that they are some of the most inspired in the business. At eight tracks long, “Pictures in the Dark” is a wonderful blend of dynamic lyricism, vivid imagery, and irony. The album is filled with magic and charm when you combine great artistic vision with the ability and temperament not to take yourself too seriously. In an era where screens dictate our every move, Jon Tyler Wiley and His Virginia Choir beckon us to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the world through their latest single, “Mission.” Starting with a piano and fiddle intro that immediately immerses you in a soundscape of Americana goodness, “Mission” captivates from the instant it begins. As Wiley puts his iconic vocals to use on lines like “ Get yourself a brand new mission / Throw away your television,” Wiley and His Virginia Choir sing out a rallying cry for mindfulness and presence in a world consumed by digital noise. Jon Tyler Wiley and His Virginia Choir remain one of the scene's most intriguing and charming Americana acts today. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream their latest release, “Mission,” on all majour streaming platforms. Check out their album ‘Pictures in the Dark,’ which is now on all major streaming platforms. Welcome to Buzz, Jon Tyler Wiley (and your Virginia Choir)! We loved “Mission,” and we had to ask, what made you decide on this as the lead single for “Pictures in the Dark?" Thanks for having me! This song got stuck in my head while I was working on it. I’d be walking around, humming the chorus at all hours of the day. That’s always a good sign, right? Plus, I think that the band really knocked it out of the park with the arrangement of this song. There’s elements of rock, country, there’s fiddle, there’s synth. It became really representative of the album as a whole, even as one of the last songs we finished. What was your favorite part of the creative process for seeing “Mission” come to life? I had been kicking the song around on an acoustic guitar for months, but the moment I brought it to the band, the first time we did a run-through, the keys, and fiddle came up with their intro. It felt so natural like it already existed, but I would never have imagined that intro without the band. What has been your favorite musical memory together as a group? A memory that sticks out for sure: we played a festival in Wisconsin last year, and I saw someone in the front row singing along. A few hours later, I ran into that person on the street, and they grabbed me by the shoulders, hugged me, and thanked me for playing their favorite song. It’s always nice to know your art is having a positive, real effect on people. What goals do you want to achieve through your music? More moments like that moment in Wisconsin! I want to see our music connect with people. I’d love to perform in all 50 states. We’re a pretty young band, so we’re at 12 right now. The main thing, however, is that I want to get better. I want to write better songs and be a better, more expressive guitar player. Hopefully, the more we do it, the farther we will push ourselves towards that. What does music mean to you, and is there anything you’d like to say to your fans? It’s the ultimate form of communication. I love the chance to write stories and then tell those stories with my band. For those that call themselves fans, first, I say ‘THANK YOU,’ but secondly, I’d want them to know that the best is yet to come! Instagram Facebook
- GrayWeather Blur The Vulnerable And The Needy On Their Thought-Provoking Release “Parasite”
How do you truly know when it’s okay to ask for help? Deep within the magical place where music and emotion intertwine, GrayWeather slumbered, then awoke. Created from the sparks of the memories of a dear friend and bandmate, GrayWeather is as much an entity of itself as it is a touching tribute to the people who made the journey possible. With the release of their debut EP, “The Soma Collective,” on the near horizon, the future looks exceedingly bright, and there’s no telling what the limit to their vast potential could be. Part of GrayWeather’s charm is its unwillingness to shy away from complex topics. GrayWeather’s poignant commentary on mental health struggles and the burden of silence is always mirrored in their music and visuals. It should come as no surprise then that their upcoming “The Soma Collective” EP delves into the depths of relatable emotions and the intricacies of life and emotion. There’s a lot to unpack, but when the music is this good, you get lost in the release itself, which is no biggie. Powerful and striking are the first words that come to mind as GrayWeather’s latest release, “Parasite,” begins. Accompanied by a music video shot in all red light, you know what you’re in for as soon as the video and sound begin, with the entire release seemingly humming with an unextinguishable power. A metal release through and through, at the center of the “Parasite,” is an interesting paradox; when it comes to having the wisdom of asking for help vs. the folly of over-burdening others with our problems, where does the line lie? GrayWeather’s latest release, “Parasite,” is a robust metal offering that poses challenging yet thought-provoking questions about self-reliance and personal relationships. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream GrayWeather’s latest release, “Parasite,” on all major streaming platforms. Instagram Facebook
- Edalo Slips You Into The World Of Ambient Electronic On “Mirage”
This talented musician’s creations will have you walking on clouds. A multi-faceted artistic force that seamlessly blends genres and boundaries with each project, artist Edalo’s musical journey has been marked by illustrious collaborations and groundbreaking releases. As a musician, composer, and producer, Edalo sees music from multiple levels, using his vision to make releases that stand out from a technical standpoint while also touching the soul. With every release, Edalo reaffirms his status as one of the brightest spots in the industry, and we can’t wait to see how far he can ascend. Beginning in 2012, when he joined forces with luminaries such as Robby Takac (of Goo Goo Dolls), Kenny Hawkins, and Jerry Livingston to create “Mariposa,” Edalo’s music journey has been defined by a commitment to excellence and creative exploration. Although we wouldn’t know it then, his critically acclaimed debut album “Faith” would set the tone for a slew of future releases that are all outstanding in their own right. It’s not like maintaining a standard like this isn’t incredibly hard either; Edalo is just up to the challenge. If you’re a fan of ambient electronic music and float house, Edalo’s release “Mirage” should be right up your alley, although the track’s flawless production also makes it highly versatile. Soft, pensive on occasion but at all times brimming with unspoken emotion, “Mirage” soared to #1 on the Electronic Top Charts on iTunes, once again showing Edalo’s ability to make music that resonates with wide audiences. “Mirage” is an aptly titled release that might feel like a fleeting dream, but it’s a dream you’re gonna want to replay over and over again. With each project, Edalo continues to redefine the boundaries of creativity and innovation, leaving an enduring legacy that resonates far beyond the confines of the studio. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Edalo’s latest release, “Mirage,” on all major streaming platforms. Welcome to Buzz, Edalo! We loved “Mirage” so much that we had to ask: What inspired this release? Thank you very much for the kind words! Really happy to hear that BuzzMusicLA loves "Mirage." "Mirage" is a very sentimental song to me because I wanted to create a song where there are no featured singers and no other featured credits other than myself. I wanted to prove that I could hit #1 by myself on iTunes, which is exactly what became a reality. "Mirage" is about having a vision and carrying that vision through. Turning your dreams into a reality and knowing what it takes to make it happen. Not everyone will believe in you, but what matters the most is that you believe in yourself. Can you take us through your usual creative process when making songs? Absolutely! My creative process is four steps. My process is preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. In preparation, you use various ideation methods to help you understand, attack ideas, and build. Mainly seeing a creative idea from all angles. With incubation, you are open to all ideas, even the "crazy" ones, and when you take a step back to reorganize your thoughts. In illumination, this is the "A-Ha" or "Eureka" moment, and when, finally, things start to fall into place. Verification is when you build, analyze, and evaluate your "A-Ha" solution. When it comes to the creation of songs, I usually start with a piano line or catchy sound. Next, I will add parts like drums, bass, or even a catchy vocal to help develop the song. As someone who’s been successful and around the scene for so long, what’s been the favorite part of your musical journey so far? My favorite part about my musical journey is that there's always something new and fresh about it. If you work hard enough, there's always someone to collaborate with or bounce ideas off of. There is always somewhere new to experience and people to share your music with. The most rewarding thing is seeing my music resonate with my "fans" or listeners. The journey is not always easy, but it's completely worth it when it all comes together. Nothing comes easy in life, especially when you're on a musical journey. So the best thing you can do is never give up and always keep creating. If your audience could take one thing away from your music, what would you want it to be? If my audience can take one thing away from my music, it would be never to give up. If you give up on your visions and dreams, they'll never happen. If you work hard towards your goals, you are more likely to achieve them. Life is never easy, but it's how an individual reacts to it. Everyone has their own life and is so wrapped up in it that sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is take care of yourself. With self-care, you can become stronger and have more strength to accomplish your goals. Never giving up may be a hard thing to do, especially when you're faced with trials and tribulations, but ultimately can help you push through. My advice for my audience would be to always keep moving forward and always keep pushing on. What’s next for Edalo? Is there anything you want to say to your fans? The one thing I'd love to first state is, thank you for listening to my music! Being able to release music for people who actually appreciate it is something I am extremely grateful for. For those who come out to my shows, especially the sold-out ones, you have helped me make this vision real life, and I am beyond appreciative when those come out to support me. The future of Edalo contains an upcoming EP release and multiple music video releases, collaborations & shows. I have one very big special secret in the works, but I have to keep it confidential. Thanks for a great interview! Instagram Facebook
- Turn Up the Heat With FlipzWorld’s New Hip-Hop Album, ‘RAW’
Hailing from Sandusky, Ohio, is the versatile recording artist and passionate dancer FlipzWorld with his first stab at a full-throttle hip-hop album titled RAW. Kyle, professionally known as FlipzWorld, started his journey with a drum machine and dance, leading him back to music production in his late twenties to early thirties. He dedicated himself to mastering the craft during the COVID-19 shutdown, beautifully resulting in numerous singles and his debut album, Mad World, a reflective piece on the world's state of chaos. Since releasing his first EP, Glitch, FlipzWorld has expanded his sound to know no bounds, offering hints of deep house, trap, R&B, electronic, and drill. And now, his latest album brings you FlipzWorld's rendition of the essence of hip-hop, packed with gritty, grimy sounds and hot new artists. The 16-track album RAW kicks off with the instrumental intro, "Ignite," instantly sparking our speakers with a powerful mid-tempo foot-tapper that's equally as bold as it is groovy. It sets the tone for the powerful and dynamic album while leading into track two, "Lost," another instrumental that leans on the snares for a snappy sonic impact. And we love the sweet sample of ZERB and Sofiya Nzau's "Mwaki," perfectly incorporating FlipzWorld's love for deep house. But the heat turns up in track three, "CRASH" featuring Lowkea, jumping through the speakers with an upbeat club-banger that melds bouncy hip-hop production with Lowkea's quick flow perfectly. The same heat radiates from "Pipedown" featuring SomeoneCalledSomeone, who takes this track by the horns with a boss attitude and heavy bars alongside FlipzWorld's nostalgic hip-hop production reflecting on classic eras of the past. Leaning into a more modern sound is "Bebop" featuring Fuze and Lowkea, offering a sweet blend of melodic R&B and sensual hip-hop that leaves us weak in the knees. Both artists crash the speakers with power and authority, commanding our attention from start to finish. The same goes for "Precision," featuring Jeffrey iLL, who wastes no time jumping into his heated bars alongside FlipzWorld's mysterious and sultry production that turns up the heat in the best way possible. The power is at a high in track seven, "Move," featuring Vice Carter, who genuinely smacked our speakers with his no-BS flow that perfectly blends with FlipzWorld's bass-heavy production for maximum impact. It's a track that'll get you off your feet and moving to the beat. Track eight, "The Cost," featuring Lowkea and SomeoneCalledSomeone, brings us another massive R&B meets hip-hop banger with a velvety hook and drilling verses that pack equal amounts of desire and power. Swaying us back to a couple of prime eras ago is track ten, "It's Like That," featuring Bam Keith, who lights the scene with his melodic yet authoritative verse that commands our attention alongside FlipzWorld's hazy and drum-heavy production. Vice Carter makes his way back in track eleven, "VHS," pumping up the furnace with cut-throat bars that springboard off FlipzWorld's ominous and drum-focused production, lighting a fire that keeps us locked in. In an even more ominous and eerie track, "Code X" with Rsin, FlipzWorld spins a dark web of power and grit alongside Rsin's dominant flow that perfectly maintains the song's rough edge. That same sort of dark energy lends itself to the album's twelfth track, "Euphoria," featuring Curtiss King, whose swagger and charisma are palpable within seconds of hearing this instant-banger. He sets his own pace, walks the walks, talks the talk, and leans on his buddy FlipzWorld to lay the beat down to perfection. The darkness continues in track thirteen, "One of a Kind" featuring Mxntis, kicking off with FlipzWorld's eerie tones and keys alongside muted snares and heavy bass for a distant, open-space feel. But Mxntis' no-BS flow asserts the pace with his empowering bars that honor his unique essence. Just when we thought it couldn't get any darker, the "Grim Reaper" comes haunting the album on track fourteen alongside TrigNO and AJ Hargreaves, who offer a Joey Bada$$-type feel alongside FlipzWorld's bouncy, melodic, and rich production that chills the spine. Taking us through the flames is track fifteen, "TON 618" featuring SPdoubleOG, lighting a fire with unique drum rhythms and SPdoubleOG's impressive flow that leaves us bopping our heads alongside FlipzWorld's rich production. Channeling all the power of the 15 tracks prior is the album's massive outro track, "RAW (The CYPHER)," featuring the talented likes of Lowkea, Vice Carter, Someone Called Someone, Gio the Genius, and SPDoubleOG to close off the album with a high-energy, infectious groove that leaves us coming back for more. If FlipzWorld has shown us anything, he's a force to be reckoned with in just about any genre he sets his mind to, and RAW is no exception. Hear it yourself and find the new album on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to Buzz, FlipzWorld! We love your rendition of hip-hop in the new 16-track album, RAW. What inspired you to venture into this particular genre for an album? Well, RAW was initially going to be an instrumental album, but as I kept making more tracks, I could hear rap vocals on them. So, each song has a nice little backstory to how they came to be. The idea of RAW was just straight bars, I wanted every artist to leave no stone unturned & to give me their best verses they could possibly deliver. We don’t really have that in hip-hop right now. I wanted to go back to my roots & what made me fall in love with the genre in the first place. My supporters, friends & family all told me that I did an amazing job on the project, hearing this made me feel sense of relief cause I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself. I’m grateful that it had such a great turnout, down to the rollout of the album. What was your experience working alongside the many talented artists featured on RAW? What was that collaborative process like? The collaboration process was a bit stressful at times as I was waiting for verses to get back to me. Some of my artists had other complications going on in their lives, etc. I wouldn’t change any of that for the world. Working with amazing artists such as Lowkea, SpDoubleOG, Vice Carter, and SomeoneCalledSomeone, just to name a few, was nothing short of an amazing experience. I’ve also gotten closer to these individuals as my closest friends. Working with everyone was truly fun, to say the least. In terms of the production on RAW, were you inspired or influenced by any particular artists or producers? What sounds and styles impacted this album? Oh most definitely! I was heavily inspired by Wu-Tang Clan & Mobb Deep on the production side of things. I knew I wanted that gritty, grimy sound, so I had to pull from the history in the 90’s style of how did all those tracks sounded like back then. I wanted the theme to match the title as much I could possibly have it. If you go back & listen to those sounds & the production you’ll definitely hear some of the similarities in RAW. Which song from RAW is your personal favorite and why? What makes that song stand out to you? This is a tough one cause I absolutely love them all in their own way. If I had to choose, I’d have to say TON 618. My new best friend SpDoubleOG went through a troubling experience years back & I had shared the same experience as he did during the creation of the song. Initially, it was done & then we added more cause I felt like we both had some things we wanted to get off our chest, & to this day, it still gives me chills listening to it cause it’s so relatable. Even if you don’t share the same experience as we did, but you had something similar happen to you but different. I guarantee you’ll feel what we felt when you played this song from start to finish. What do you hope listeners feel after hearing your new album RAW? How do you want this project to impact them? I’d love for the listener to feel that this is what hip-hop is missing. RAW is definitely a hip-hop album; hip hop isn’t something you do. It’s something you live. I feel some have lost what hip-hop really is over the years. Me having a strong background in hip hop I wanted that to shine through. Coming from a bboy, I did so much research & studying different elements of the culture & I just wanted to share my experiences through music & take people on a journey with me. It’s definitely a banger from top to bottom. I’m sure you’ll have a few favorites on it as well. Instagram Facebook
