  • Stella Sezon – Kohaju: A Track About The Fusion Of Spirituality And Passion

Stella Sezon is a singer and songwriter blessed with a magical voice. She combines spiritual insights and meanings with fashionable music, reflecting a modern outlook on life and creativity. By seamlessly interpreting Ukrainian and English songs, Stella Sezon has emerged as a prominent musical talent in 2024. The artist captivates audiences with her unique sound and lyrical content of the track, delving into the theme of karmic relationships. Music has been Stella Sezon's lifelong profession, but her path to becoming an artist and discovering herself was not easy. The project was born in Chernihiv and further developed in Munich, and now London has become the creative heart of the project. Music producers got interested in the artist's first tracks, but she chose to work with a well-known German producer and moved to Munich. "I had an intense creative period in Germany, but the relationship with the producer proved frustrating. I'd rather not delve into specifics or even mention his name," the artist said. However, this setback catalyzed a pivotal turnover in Stella's life. Following her split with the producer, she met her future husband, Timothy, a sound producer and co-writer. Since then, they've formed a dynamic creative partnership, and STELLA SEZON has been working in creative tandem with her spouse, a professional producer and pianist. Five years ago, this encounter prompted them to seek a conducive environment for their personal and artistic growth. London became their chosen abode, where they've resided for over two and a half years. Here, Stella Sezon found renewed inspiration and established her presence in the music scene. Stella's career resurgence began with "Kohaju," a deeply personal and evocative track. "This song speaks of profound love, a vast and mutual love. Its intensity may seem overwhelming or insane at times," Stella explained. It narrates a personal journey where circumstances beyond one's control hinder the union with a beloved." Initially intended for sale, Stella Sezon used to give other artists her tracks, fearing that it would be extremely difficult to perform them herself. "I fell in love with the song and decided to retain "Kohaju" as my own. I felt that I needed to live this story through so that the remnants of the pain from that strong love that met an unfortunate end would dissolve," the author said. By the way, this song, and many others, were written because of the experience of her relationship with the producer. The future hit is not just a reflection on lost love: "I associate it with the concept of flame of karmic twin relationship, a notion I bravely share through my music and I want those who hear it to feel not alone in their life episodes," said Stella. • Aaron Sand Distributor Removes “Still Here” From Platforms

Aaron Sand has called out both Spotify and his distributor; alleging that his single “Still Here (For Dad)” was falsely flagged for bot streaming activity by the platform, resulting in his distributor removing the track from all platforms. The single “Still Here (For Dad)” which Aaron wrote for his father (who passed away in the 9/11 terror attacks) was originally released on August 23rd, 2022. The singer stated in a recent post that upon seeing a large influx of streams for the song, Spotify had contacted his management about the matter. Both Aaron and his team each responded stating they knew nothing about this, and that neither Aaron, nor anybody on his team had any involvement. As a known controversial figure who frequently speaks out on many issues, Aaron and his team stated that if there was bot activity, they speculate someone may have targeted him with bot streams to get his music taken down. It is a known problem in the industry that you can easily buy fake streams for any given song, regardless of whether or not you are the artist or have any involvement with the artist. This can result in penalties for the artist, including removing the song from streaming platforms. Aaron’s current label and management (PennyFly Entertainment) uses many different distributors for their artists, and currently uses DistroKid to distribute Aaron’s songs. DistroKid has been known to abruptly flag and remove songs from the profiles of artists and small labels who use their services without any correspondence or proof, causing thousands of artists to speak out over the years. Despite Spotify having been made aware of all this, they still went ahead and reached out to the star’s distributor, resulting in the single being removed from all platforms. As if Spotify falsely removing the single wasn’t bad enough, the singer was also donating 50% of the proceeds from “Still Here” to the 9/11 Tribute Center in an attempt to help them reopen their physical location, which unfortunately had to close due to lack of funding. This puts both Spotify and the distributor under even more scrutiny, as the flagging and removal of the track takes funding away from charity. Aaron and his management said in their statement that they have been in communication with the distributor and are working to get the single restored. However, the single has yet to be put back up on platforms. Both Spotify and DistroKid have yet to say anything on this matter publicly. We asked Aaron’s team for a statement, and here’s what they had to say: “We are extremely upset by the removal of “Still Here (For Dad)” and are working hard to get the single restored. Should the distributor refuse to remove the flag and restore it, we are prepared to take further action as necessary to ensure that the single is restored to all platforms along with the streams and revenue and that Spotify and the current distributor are held accountable.” Instagram

  • Lose Yourself In Electronic Emotion With Larin And Gillie’s Single, “It Used To Feel Good”

Take a step into the dynamic musical world of French electronic musician and skilled producer Larin, who's making waves with a recent release titled "It Used to Feel Good," alongside the stunning vocal stylings of Gillie. The 29-year-old French artist left his office job to pursue music full-time. It's more than a passion project - Larin sees each song as a chapter in his music diary that tells life stories. Known for experimenting with genres like UK Garage, House, Breakbeat, and more, Larin has landed significant attention with over 3K monthly listeners on Spotify alone. What makes Larin's sound unique is his ability to weave organic instruments into his explorative electronic tunes, which can be heard throughout his 2023 album, Tarte Framboises. On that album is the stunning single alongside featured vocalist Gillie titled "It Used to Feel Good," and if you're a fan of emotion-packed electronic, this one's for you. "It Used to Feel Good" is like a dynamic mix between artists Fred Again and Imanu, but with Larin's unique, personal touch. As it opens with faded pads and drums making their way into the foreground, Gillie makes her breathtaking vocal appearance and lays it on the line with emotional lyrics about changing yourself for a so-called 'lover.' It doesn't take long to fall head over heels for this track, whether it's Gillie's gentle vocals and vulnerable lyrics or Larin's storytelling sonic production that rounds out the listening experience to perfection. It's a powerful, emotional, chilling song that, in my opinion, completely aligns with where the future of electronic music is headed. Explore the vast sounds and feelings in Larin and Gillie's recent single, "It Used to Feel Good," and find the complete album, Tarte Framboises, on all digital streaming platforms.

  • Robbarti Watches His Love Turn Into A Stranger On “Moving Away”

What’s left after you accept that everything is over? From the bustling streets of Glasgow, Scotland, emerged Robbarti—a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose melodies paint vivid tales of love, loss, and the relentless journey of self-discovery. With each note, he invites listeners into a world where emotions run deep and stories unfold poignantly. As his grand artistic vision continues to captivate audiences everywhere he sets foot, Robbarti is a name that you’re going to want to keep on your radar. Robbarti first made waves as the frontman of indie rock outfit Hip Parade, catapulting to fame after their stint on a TV show in 2008. With regular radio airplay and performances alongside iconic bands like The Strokes and Stereophonics, Robbarti’s tenure with Hip Parade was a resounding success. However, after Hip Parade split in 2013, Robbarti took a hiatus from music to embrace fatherhood and a new chapter in life. As he makes his return to the scene, he does so gracefully, armed with a wealth of experience and the same musical sense and joy that endeared us to him in the first place. A decade later, on the anniversary of Hip Parade's album “I'll Be Your Audience,” Robbarti has reemerged to breathe new life into previously unheard tracks from the band’s repertoire. “Moving Away” is the first of these singles, and as soon as the guitar and drums ease you into the first moments of the song, you’re instantly transported to a nostalgic soundscape. Although Robbarti’s vocals might sound mellow at first, lyrics like “I hope that you don’t think about me / Cause I won’t be there, and that’s okay” give the underlying emotions away. Robbarti’s ability to so succinctly capture emotion, even in subtle ways, is once again on full display. If anything is clear, it’s that Robbarti seemingly hasn’t missed a step, even during his hiatus. “Moving Away” is a charming release that obscures the slight melancholy of acceptance and letting go of Robbarti’s impressive ability to mask and express emotion at the same time. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Robbarti’s latest release, “Moving Away,” out now on all major streaming platforms. Instagram Facebook

  • Fracture Lines Aims To “Escape” The World’s Chaos

In an attempt to escape the chaotic modern world, four-piece progressive rock band Fracture Lines releases their scorching hot new single, "Escape." Comprised of Julian Myers (vocalist, guitar), Jorge Olivares (guitar), Brandon Watt (bass), and Brian Wilcox (drums), Fracture Lines has been making waves in Montreal, Quebec, with previous releases like "Savior," "Cyclical," and "Rocket." Now, the boys are keeping up the momentum with their compelling new single, "Escape." The new track is an anthem for anyone feeling sick and tired of what our world has become. While the band's previous releases all carry a similar energy and power, this new track stands out solely due to its ultra-relevant message of heightened anger and frustration over the chaotic, selfish, and tragic nature of planet Earth in 2024. Diving deeper into "Escape," we're met with a powerful instrumental breakdown that shakes our speakers with progressive rock's melodic, groovy, yet assertive nature. As Fracture Lines puts on a sci-fi-exodus spin reminiscent of bands like Rush, Myers smacks the speakers with a message of desperation, anger, and an underlying hope that we can "Escape" from the madness. The many instrumental transitions and breakdowns keep our attention hooked, especially Watt's killer bass licks that mold seamlessly with Myers and Olivares' guitars alongside Wilcox's comprehensive percussion. All in all, it's an exhilarating track that reminds us how the world might just be going to sh*t, and it's on us to have an "Escape" plan. Get your daily energy (and hope) with Fracture Lines' latest single, "Escape," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BUZZ, Fracture Lines! We deeply relate to the angst and desperation of your recent single, "Escape." What inspired you to create this powerful and cathartic track? Thank you so much; speaking with you again is a pleasure. The song was created from the ideas that our singer/guitar player, Julian, wrote. It was a quick idea from the intro that sparked the rest of the song. The main musical mission statement was to have a song that doesn't sound too indulgent to a listener but has many quirks and nerdy stuff behind it. Lyrically, it feels one of the most well-written in terms of how it connects to the music. We got this song to express itself in all parts. Could you discuss your band's creative process behind the scenes of "Escape?" How did you bring this song to life? Our process was taking the stem of an idea that Julian came up with and then adding the layers that every member brought to make this better and better with everyone's input. Brian put down a solid and creative drum track, Brandon came in with some amazing bass lines that drive the song, and Jorge wrote some beautiful layers of guitar that fill up the song like an orchestra. Everything was in the right space, with the right amount of notes and ideas, and it felt right. Who wrote the heavy lyrics behind "Escape," and what was your goal in terms of the listener's experience? What did you want them to feel or take away? Julian wrote the lyrics based on the unfortunate suffering that war brings out. With all these people being displaced, it brought up some imagery of a Sci-Fi- Exodus of some sort. The verses musically felt an urgency, the feeling of running away. Then, the 2nd part before the chorus has feelings of anger and despair, which then comes to the slightly hopeful chorus," Can we escape?" in the background while the lead voice sings, " I don't know we can..." add a jazzy instrumental section for some spacey sort of mysterious vibes. The song feels complete in telling the story and has a feeling of wanting to escape. Since "Escape" is your first release in 2024, how does this single set the tone for your year? Do you plan on creating more anthemic, ultra-relevant songs like this? The tone has been set for our first release with our current drummer Brian Wilcox, he has been a very important piece of the puzzle and help achieve our goals for this song and future projects. We do have some cooking plans! Some more songs are on the way, more on the conceptual side of things but a very relatable subject matter. What was your favorite part about creating "Escape?" What moment or experience stood out the most for your group? Our favorite part of creating this song was that every time we recorded our parts, it was as if the song kept getting better. Everyone brought such an A-game that the tune kept elevating to another level every time. The song is a good challenge to play live, and it's definitely going to be a staple of our shows for a long while. Instagram Facebook

His eclectic style draws inspiration from a diverse range of musical legends, including Chuck Berry, Marvin Gaye, and Prince, and together with his brilliant musical mind, has spawned tracks like “Curse Of The Devil,” “Don't Worry” and “Miss Super Lady.” Impressively, Fury’s one-man act shines just as bright on the stage, where he’s enchanted audiences with his electrifying performances. Anyone familiar with Fury’s work would’ve already known that the lead single from his upcoming double album release would be outstanding. Fittingly, “Underneath Your Mask” sees Fury croon over an instrumental performance that sees him play everything from the keyboard to the guitar and bass. A palpable, irresistible groove permeates every single note on this release, with a distinct Motown feel to it as well, in the best way possible. Make no mistake, though: Fury has made this sound his own, and he’s only beginning to scratch the surface of his enormous potential. As Dread Fury continues to carve out his unique path in the music industry, one thing is sure: his dynamic blend of talent and passion will ensure that this is only the beginning of good things to come. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Dread Fury’s latest release, “Underneath Your Mask,” on all major streaming platforms. Welcome to Buzz, Dread Fury! We loved “Underneath Your Mask," which had a great funk and soul feel! We had to ask how the inspiration for it came about. Thanks for having me back again, guys. And thank you for the lovely compliment. The inspiration came some years ago, as I first wrote it in 2007. But I just couldn’t find something to fit it into. So I left it on the shelf, and then during lockdown, I recorded it again. I still wasn’t unhappy, so I left it on the shelf. Only after my last release in 2021 did I feel I could get a definitive version, which you hear now. I thought about the Stax, Motown, early-Sly & The Family Stone, Curtis Mayfield, and Jimi Hendrix record with a bit of Prince there, and that was the template. Lyrically, I wanted to explore when your significant other hides something from you, and you try to find out what they think. But, you know, you dig deep enough, sometimes you won’t always like what you find. What has been your favorite part of your music journey thus far, and what are you most looking forward to in the future? You have an album slated for release soon, right? I do love that I can record at home and at will and spend time on the project to get it to sound exactly how I want it to. But the best part is performing what you created live in front of an audience. I mean, there is no better feeling. I mean, you sit at home, create a track, planning every beat, every note, etc, and then you get to play it live in front of people, and they enjoy it. What’s not to love? As far as the future goes, you are right. I have an album coming out this year, and it was made within three years. Plus, I’m looking forward to playing these songs live. What does music mean to you, and what quality do you think is most important for musicians? For me, music is a way to communicate. It’s a way to express myself in the best way possible. It’s my way of letting people know what I am thinking. But it also allows me to tell stories too. To show that my mind is always creative. And I guess that’s important for me when listening to other musicians. I believe musicians need to enjoy being creative and fearless. This age of social media is counter-productive for musicians in that they obsess over algorithms and start creating produce in the hope of something catching fire, and then it trends. And when it doesn’t, they start wallowing in self-pity. We’re musicians. We make music. Let’s enjoy it. Being creative is fun. It always has been and always will be. If your listeners could take one thing away from your music, what would you want it to be? I want my listeners to take away that nothing is impossible and you possess the tools to do whatever you want to make you happy. We have one life, so make it count. What’s next for Dread Fury, and are there any other releases you’re especially excited to share with fans? I will release a few more singles to promote the album before it drops. “Underneath Your Mask” has set it up so the next singles, I hope, will build the anticipation. There’s a video on the way, too. But I’m excited about the album. It’s a double album, and each track is linked thematically, so it flows well. I can’t wait for you all to hear it. Instagram Twitter

So, let yourself be swept away by the soul-stirring melodies you will never forget. Welcome back to BUZZ, Shawn Brown! We love the power and emotion felt in your latest single, The Sad Ones." What was the inspiration behind this record, and how did you approach the songwriting process with such care? Thanks for having me back at Buzz. It's always awesome to chat with you. I appreciate your kind words about “The Sad Ones,” too; it’s been a wild release cycle. This is definitely one of those songs that damn near drops out of the sky, and your artistic job is basically just grabbing hold of the thing and making sure you don’t blow it. If anything, I was inspired by the idea that we, as humans, currently seem to be having a rough time tolerating our challenges. We are so easily distracted by our phones and other technology that we lose out over and over again on opportunities to practice just being with the challenge, holding the sadness, grief, or disappointment - whatever it is we’re dealing with. We’ll start to feel something hard and just whip out our phones out of habit and distract ourselves. So when we face big-time feelings we can’t avoid, we can be super impacted. Feelings are funny; they’re just feelings. Nothing more, nothing less. Our reactions to experiencing them are where things can get so tricky for folks. Sadness, in particular, gets a bad rap, so I wanted to make some space in the song for sadness to just be ok - to not need to be fixed or pathologized - to just be ok. Being your most personal work to date. How do you navigate the balance between vulnerability and storytelling in your music? It’s a good question. The longer I write songs, the less self-conscious I’ve become about the whole dang process. I used to be absolutely tortured about every little decision or edit. It was brutal. It's different for everyone. But for me, there hasn't been any upside to all that nonsense. The best stuff tends to come from just being as honest as humanly possible and just going with whatever that is. Honesty and vulnerability lead to the best stories and songs that all go together. The trick is to just get out of your way and just let it happen. You've collaborated with a talented team of musicians and producers to bring life to it. Could you please tell us about the creative dynamic in the studio and how it contributed to the song's final vision? You are right to point out the roster on this track; it’s an embarrassment of riches. I’m so super lucky to have this ongoing creative collaboration with Grecco Buratto. That guy is a massive talent and has supported my songs. We’ve got a good thing going! This song, in particular, is a great example of how our work together moves. His production on “The Sad Ones” is pretty incredible. One of the aspects of the song that I really needed his help with was fighting the urge to resolve the song's theme in a “happier” place. Moving a song into uplifting places is always so tempting, but that’s not what this song is really about. The whole theme is that sadness is OK - and doesn't need to be fixed or turned into happiness. As a result, we had to work really hard to let the song sit in the place of acceptance and not let ourselves fall into the same trap the song is trying to work against. We brought back both Daniel Clarke and Brendan Buckley, too, which is just a massive thing to have those guys on the song. Touching on themes of acceptance and emotional healing, how do you hope listeners will connect with these themes through your music? What message would you like them to leave with? If anything, I hope the strong pro-mental health message comes out loud and clear. I genuinely believe that if we focus more on accepting our feelings - instead of vilifying, rejecting, or pathologizing them - we'll be far better off. So, to do that, we have to practice accepting the hard stuff as it comes and see if, by just holding it, we can get through it all more peacefully. In other words, your feelings are valid and important! You're not bad and wrong for feeling sad…or anything else. That’s the message of “The Sad Ones,” no doubt. We love it when creative avenues cross, and in addition to your musical pursuits, you've also ventured into literature with your book 'We Almost Are.' In what ways do you see your music and writing intersecting? What are you looking forward to most? Oh wow, thanks! The book came as a real surprise, and I’m beyond psyched that Embers Arts Press was so enthusiastic about publishing it. I think I’m just in a place where “making stuff” is the goal. The vast majority of our time and attention is spent making the thing - song, book, painting, play, garden, dinner - whatever. That's been a real shift for me, understanding that so much more of my life can be spent in the “making” of things and that the results are far less impactful than I would have ever thought. So that's really the interaction, just pushing forward, making as much as possible - regardless of whether it comes out in the form of a melody, lyrics, or writing. Just make stuff! I am due back in the studio in a few weeks to cut another couple of singles, so I am super excited to get rolling on making some more records. Hopefully, we get to talk about them soon, too! Emily fearlessly lets her words take flight, narrating fragments of her story with powerful and emotive vocals. The rhythmic dance of acoustic guitar strums and poignant keys constructs a jaunty soundscape that becomes the backdrop to a buoyant ballad. In the vibrant " Pretty Penny," Emily weaves a tale of love and discovery. The song's radiant energy mirrors the rarity and excitement of stumbling upon that lucky penny—bringing forth an anthem that celebrates life's unexpected treasures. As the music surges with positivity and infectious beats, Emily Coupe invites us all to join her in this joyous exploration of love and the enchanting journey that unfolds when we dare to seek the extraordinary in the everyday. Welcome to BUZZ, Emily Coupe! Congratulations on the release of "Pretty Penny." This track has such an infectious energy and positivity in a theme where you know what you're worth. Can you share the inspiration behind the song and how it came to life? Thank you so much! The inspiration behind Pretty Penny came from just getting together with my friends and then coming up with a cool concept and riff! First, we came up with a guitar riff, added some basic topline melodies, and came up with the title, and it all evolved from there. So it all happened very organically! Also, the concept/symbol itself really stood out to us once we developed it. It’s funny because I can relate to this song since I just went through a breakup, more than when I was writing it. So, it all eventually came back full circle. You have such a wide range of musical influences. What non-musical influences stem from your music? How do these speak into the music you create? Thank you! First of all, my romantic and personal relationships filter into my music as I add inspiration from my life to write about. However how I am feeling currently about the world, as well as the emotions I am currently going through in my life/career, definitely influences my music, too. As a singer-songwriter, storytelling is a significant aspect of your music. How do you approach crafting compelling narratives in your songs? I honestly think the best way to craft compelling songs is to live life. I think sometimes, when I don’t write for a while (and I can’t write right now because I have nodules), I know that when I get back to writing, I will have a wealth of topics to write about since I have lived a lot more of life (recently been through a breakup), and also have new musical influences to draw from too! Throughout the day, I’m always coming up with new song ideas and writing them down, so I look forward to exploring that either by myself or with a co-writer soon! Moving from Australia to Los Angeles is a significant journey. How has this change in environment influenced your musical evolution? 100%! Not only is Los Angeles very different than Australia, but moving here as a young adult was such an eye-opening journey that it really did influence who I have grown into as a person and as an artist. Also, I think Los Angeles forces you to become the best version of yourself to survive here physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. It is the biggest journey I’ve ever embarked upon Can you delve deeper into the symbolism behind this concept and how it relates to the broader theme of the track? Yes! Pretty Penny talks about the idea that she always thought she would be a 'pretty penny' in someone’s life, a prized possession that would be kept and cherished and still wanted on that person’s rainy days or downtimes. However, she realizes that she was merely a trophy in this person’s life, wasn’t something that would be saved for a rainy day, and was easily discarded and left in a puddle to Rust. This symbolizes that it was easy for him to break up with her, and he also didn’t see her value and worth even while he was with her, nor did he support or cherish her dreams. Instagram Facebook
