- Let’s Pause, Breathe, And Reminisce With “27teen” By Monica Moser
As part of her new album "27teen (the beginnings)," Monica Moser, an artist, writer, and podcaster from Texas, takes us on a trip down memory lane with her most recent single, "27teen," released on August 18th. Monica has had a rich experience in music, actively participating in the industry and creating pieces for her audience, which allowed her to find her voice, find her style, and define what she is passionate about. Monica explained: "Over the years, I've learned that I love performing and nothing can compare with that feeling, but that creating something feels infinite." Her jazz/blues and folksy style paired with these amazing lyrics of "27teen" lets you connect with her as an artist; simultaneously, we connect with our past, inner child, or inner teen. This very nostalgic piece allows you to stop for a second and reminisce about all the situations, all the good and the bad that you've lived and are still here. We consider this an empowering, honest, and relatable song. People of all ages, stages, and situations can relate to this song's feelings. Everything we lived in our past has allowed us to become who we are now; being aware of where we've been before is a great mental exercise we feel inspired to do when we listen to this beautiful piece. We're glad we realized how fast time goes and how good it is to pause. Monica Moser and "27teen" have allowed us to do so, and we hope you can, too. Find Monica's fantastic work on all streaming and social media platforms. Instagram Facebook
- Paris King Won’t Let Your “Jealousy” Get In The Way Of Her Success
Never let your haters get you down. Sometimes, the most amazing and exciting journeys start with a random decision. For budding London-based star Paris King, her journey began when she followed her friend to a drag audition on a whim and discovered a deep, natural talent for music and performance. Raised by a Jamaican father and Celtic mother in London, King soaked up the vibrant and abundant musical influences around her. Melding these influences into a cohesive sound that is as enticing as it is hard to put into a box, this talented artist continues to march to the beat of her own drum, capturing the hearts of audiences everywhere on the way. After finding a home and dipping her toes in London’s all-inclusive, ever-expressive drag scene, King would earnestly focus her talents on music. She began releasing singles and creating music videos in total drag, ever faithful to herself and her artistic identity. She’s made it her mission for her music to challenge stereotypes while showing love to everyone and everything she represents - making her music a safe space for all. With her collaboration with Damon Elliot making significant waves on social media and a highly anticipated EP due for release later this year, King feels unstoppable. King’s latest release, “Jealousy,” is a defiant anthem to all who would scorn her for her success and being herself. Featuring audacious and rollicking dancehall instrumentals, on “Jealousy,” King continues to show why she’s a hot commodity in the scene. Dropping lines like “Born to be King / Crown dem and the ring / Look pretty pretty and bling bling / I got it like that,” King oozes an effortless charisma. Her skills aren’t just suited to the mic either; the accompanying music video sees King show off her dancing and acting chops, too, rapping to the camera as she dances and captivates alongside her supporting dancers. Featuring King in a slew of chic, attention-grabbing outfits, laser-sharp choreography, and flawless delivery make the music video a perfect accompaniment to the release, something that’s become increasingly rare. Paris King’s latest release, “Jealousy,” is many things, but perhaps most importantly, a celebration of human expression and the resolution to be your authentic self no matter what the outside world might think. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Paris King’s new release, “Jealousy,” available now. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Paris King! We loved "Jealousy;" the music video went so well with the song's vibe! What feeling or concept were you trying to capture with this release? Firstly, thank you for having me! I wanted to encapsulate the rawness of the music and end up with a polished Caribbean-inspired LGBTQ plus extravaganza. I think we did it! It was also essential to have other representatives of queer black culture and allies, so the team on set all fit the bill, and I love how it came out. You mentioned you grew up in London surrounded by tons of music through your family. How did growing up exposed to so much music influence you as an artist? Growing up surrounded by a melting pot of music influenced me massively! As a child, I would listen to Bob Marley one minute, then Patsy Cline, and then my brothers would play house and garage and bands like The Prodigy, giving me a taste of everything. What was your favorite part of bringing your vision for the video for "Jealousy" to life? My favorite part is what it meant for me - incorporating the red, gold, and green colors throughout the video, being fabulously glamorous, and having the undertone of raw ethnicity, the dance moves, and the inclusion and the allies. It was a real feast for me, and I hope it's also a feast for the viewers. What do you want your listeners to feel when they hear your music? I want my listeners to feel empowered by my music. Everyone faces scrutiny - especially when forging a slightly different path. "Jealousy" is all about naysayers and hecklers and the fact that they are jealous of others' intrinsic confidence to be visible and glow. The message in all of my songs is never to lose your glow. What's next for Paris King? Can we expect to hear more new music, and is there anything you want to say to your fans? Fans can expect many more music videos and performances, and I would love to tell all my listeners. Thank you very much for supporting the empowerment movement, and catch me on all my social media channels to keep in touch! Instagram Facebook

Hailing from Nashville, the enchanting Jenny Grace thrives in the shadows. Her vintage country vibes and Southern charm captivate listeners across the ages, while her narratives fearlessly delve into life's complexities, capturing both the saintly and the sinful. Against a backdrop of classic country chords, Jenny Grace's haunting vocals transport you into a world of longing and yearning. "Dreaming" isn't just a song—it's a raw, soul-baring anthem that demands to be heard with the windows down and the volume cranked up. But hold onto your heart because the music video takes the feels to a whole new level. Nestled in the lush hills of New Hampshire, we follow Jenny and her crush as they navigate chance encounters in small-town spots. It's like stepping into their world of romantic tension and what-ifs. And let's talk about dream sequences. Prepare for picnics amid breathtaking scenery, idyllic mountain walks that redefine goals, and a chemistry that practically sizzles through the screen. But here's the twist: This love is tantalizingly out of reach. As you watch Jenny scroll through snapshots of her love interest, you're right there with her, feeling the ache of a connection that can never fully materialize. Jenny Grace's "Dreaming" music video is an emotional rollercoaster. It's an invitation to explore those moments of unspoken yearning we've all felt. So go on, hit play, let those emotions flow, and sing along like your heart depends on it. "Dreaming" isn't just a music video. It's a three-and-a-half-minute journey through the labyrinth of unfulfilled desires. Your latest music video for "Dreaming" is a visual journey through the complexities of unattainable love. Can you share the inspiration behind the song and video with us? Most people are generally unhappy in their current relationships. Many people settle down young because they want to be married before they're 30 or achieve some check in the box for their lives. The universe doesn't work that way, and you can't choose things like love from a place of practicality and control. Throughout the centuries, arranged marriages have occurred. Everyone remembers the stories of Romeo and Juliet and Tristan and Isolde; it's the age-old curse that true love never runs smoothly. Also, some loves could never be; maybe they were too mighty for this world. The song was written based on actual events. New Hampshire provides a stunning backdrop for the 'Dreaming' music video. How did you decide on this location, and how do you feel it enhances the emotional depth of the story? I love New Hampshire. I have been going there since childhood to Santa's Village and North Conway for vacations. I wanted a "Yellowstone" type of mood for this video. Instead of flying to Montana, I tried to capture the beautiful mountains of New England, especially because I grew up in the region. New England has a vibrant history and timelessness, with an underlying spooky energy, especially in autumn. The song is spiritual and has some dark elements to it compositionally, so I needed scenery that would reflect this hidden sadness the way New England does. The song "Dreaming" has struck a chord with listeners due to its relatable themes of longing and desire. Could you share your creative process in bringing this passionate country ballad to life, particularly in weaving storytelling into the music? My guitarist friend Brian Mckeever sent me an entirely produced demo with banjo, drums, and acoustic guitars. The night he sent it to me, I wrote the song. The hook came to me quickly, and I worked out the verses soon after. I tracked vocals with my microphone and sent them back with the demo track, and Brian responded, "Another hit." Lucid dreams were a big part of my twin flame experience, so I thought this was perfect for the theme of "Dreaming" to portray the torment of dreaming of someone you can't be with. The dreams for these connections can go on for weeks and even years, as mine did. In the video, I tried to portray the element of star-crossed lovers with the scene on the bridge where Antonio and I bump into each other: the lyrics say, "Did I know you in another time?" - as a lot of these connections are also rooted in past life connections. The chemistry between you and your crush in the video is palpable, yet it's a love that seems just out of reach. How did you approach portraying such raw emotions on screen, and did any personal experiences influence your performance? Antonio Decilla and I are both represented as models. We are trained to portray a particular look on camera for a photograph or commercial. However, sometimes the camera doesn't lie, and real chemistry has to be there. It happens with actors when they meet on set; there is this potent chemistry, and the crew and the audience can feel it. I am glad we were able to create some magic in this video and allow the viewers to feel something. What's next for you? The more I keep releasing music, the more opportunities arise. I am recording new music in September and will be releasing a follow-up single to this one. I also just got my merch line, and I am so excited to partner with a woman-owned Long Island company, Madam Merchant, who designs all my products. I had a show this weekend where I am back in New Hampshire, playing alongside the Zac Brown band! The show sold out, so it was awesome. I also love Zac Brown's band and loved seeing them live for the first time. I will also be playing in Nashville at Tin Roof in September and traveling out west to California for some shows in October. I want to keep making music and memories with the amazing people I've met on this journey. Instagram Facebook
- Kings County Rocks Us Back Into “So Cold”
A blast from the past, Kings County takes us back to the rock era with a blazing new melodic tuned vocal and soaring, hard-hitting guitar riffs. With over 2 million views on their critically acclaimed "Holding On," Los Angeles-based Kings County has a promising future ahead of them. The magical four that make up the band are Rob Dexter (Vocals, Bass), Steve Bell (Vocals, Guitar), Joe Lopez (Drums), and Bill Kania (Guitar, Vocals). The original piece stemmed from a fundamental idea that grew into something special by presenting it to their producer (Chuck Alkazian) in Miami, which helped bring the masterpiece to life. Kings County mentions that writing music is a full-contact sport and that you're only as good as your last song. That said, they went on to create the best song to date. Paired with an insane visual, "So Cold" brings an electric energy to the table. While singing from the depths of their hearts and minds, Kings County shares insightful lyrics while maintaining the grit the track craves. The multi-tiered concept behind "So Cold" adds a complexity for the listener to ponder when it's all said and done. Like the lottery, creating and writing music is the same for Kings County; you have to be in it to win it, and when the smoke clears, it's all about the music. Dive into the creative minds and hearts of the magical four from Kings County and their newest release, "So Cold." It's great to have you back for your latest single, "So Cold." What inspired this release? Thanks for inviting Kings County back on BuzzMusic. Our newest release, "So Cold," was written and recorded simultaneously with our previous song, "Holding On." We set it up that way, so when we were done releasing and promoting the first one, we had another bullet in the chamber ready to be fired with "So Cold." We didn't want to step on the toes of the movement with "Holding On" by releasing "So Cold" too soon, but we also didn't want to wait too long between songs. Release a strong song and hit them again with another banger, a musical one-two punch. You stated that "So Cold" similarly came to fruition in your latest single, "Holding On." Can you explain your creative process to us? How do you create together while at Pearl Sound Studios? When you find a writing formula that works, you stick with it. The majority of the writing is by myself and guitarist Steve Bell. We all have home studios, making it quick and easy to create and record ideas on the spot. We look at our producer/engineer Chuck Alkazian as our "5th member". He is an integral part of Kings County's sound. His studio, Pearl Sound Studios in Canton, MI, is a world-class facility where we track the song's final arrangement. You'd be surprised how many great ideas come together just by sitting in the control room and jamming away. Try this, try that. A lot of ideas come on the fly when you least expect it. What's your favorite lyric line? Why? That's a great question and an easy one to answer. It must be "Trapped in a World You Can't Crawl Out!".We all react differently to struggles, whether the world is an emotional one or a physical one. This lyric line can apply to anyone dealing with life's issues. What message would you like people to remove from "So Cold?" Life is short. We're born, we flourish, and over time, we become cold and eventually wither away. Live your life to the fullest cause tomorrow isn't guaranteed. That's what we'd like listeners to take away from our song "So Cold." What's next for Kings County? We have to keep this musical train going. If you slow down a bit, you get run over. Writing new music and continued live performances is a must to keep this band on top of our game. It looks like you're one song away from your hit song, so dig in and enjoy the ride. Instagram
- Parralox's New Single "Tears of Faith" Is Made Of Synthwave Dreams And Electro Escapes
Parralox is back, and they've unleashed a mesmerizing new music video for "Tears of Faith," taking us on a wild journey through love, loneliness, and the audacity of human desire. The Australian electronic pop wizards, led by the enigmatic John von Ahlen, have been steadily resurrecting the iconic sounds of '80s synth-pop legends like Depeche Mode, The Human League, and Pet Shop Boys. With "Tears of Faith," featuring the hauntingly captivating vocals of Jane Badler, they've concocted an electronic dance potion that delves into the intricate web of broken relationships and the longing for reconciliation. But let's talk about the visual masterpiece directed by Leanne Hanley. It's an eccentric, darkly humorous take on Frankenstein meets Reanimator, with a touch of technicolor madness. Von Ahlen steps into the shoes of a mad professor on a quest to create his perfect love, his ideal companion. Through the wizardry of computers, A.I., and a dash of magic, he breathes life into a blank slate, embodied by the alluring Jane Badler. Sparks fly, but not the romantic kind. It's a story of love gone awry, with a touch of hubris that rivals Dr. Frankenstein himself. The video artfully straddles the line between the superficial and the spiritual, exploring the age-old theme of creation turned rebellion. Von Ahlen's deadpan humor shines through as he reflects on the video, saying, "It was a load of fun to film, especially the parts where Jane comes to life and has to kill me." The entire journey was mapped out, but TV sensation Jane Badler's improvisational prowess adds a wickedly delightful twist. She fully embraces the role of the homicidal android, making for some electrifying scenes. Von Ahlen playfully jokes about safety just to ensure that a saw remains nothing more than a prop. The "Tears of Faith" video, filmed at Blue Tree Studios in Victoria, Australia, is a labor of love that faced its share of delays, including the shadow of the pandemic and the tragic loss of Jane Badler's son, Harry Haines. Despite the hurdles, it's a testament to the resilience of art and the power of collaboration. Intrigued? Dive into the bizarre and captivating world of Parralox's "Tears of Faith" video. It's an electrifying testament to the band's enduring creativity and their unapologetic embrace of the strange and sublime. parralox.com
- Marc Oliver Finds The Strength To Take Fate Into His Own Hands On “History”
Sometimes, we only need a little push to bring out our best. In the vast, diverse world we’ve come to call the music industry, there are some artists whose only listening advice you can give them is to buckle up and expect the unexpected. This statement rings especially true for San Diego-based recording artist and singer-songwriter extraordinaire Marc Oliver. Oliver has managed something many of his peers haven’t been able to achieve: diversifying his sound without compromising on any quality or lyrical charm that’s made it so appealing over the years. With his debut album slated for release this year, Oliver has continued to push his artistic boundaries, but at the heart of his music still lays the outlaw we’ve come to know and love. Cultivating a musical style that could tentatively be described as alternative meets rock and pop, Oliver’s releases have been united by his uncanny ability to evoke the visceral through a masterful blend of lyrical prowess and instrumental brilliance. No wonder he’s been rocking the scene for 25 years and counting; Oliver knows how to enthrall an audience. Having graced stages alongside titanic icons of the industry like Pat Benatar and John Legend, he’s long been a respected and revered statesman. His longevity stands as a testament to his ability to remain current while still grounding himself in the sound that endeared us to him in the first place. At this point, Marc Oliver’s recent foray into a softer, more sensitive sound cannot be called anything but a resounding success. Fresh off acclaimed releases like “Soldier” and “Reach,” the dynamic musician continues his white-hot streak with another standout release, “History.” Featuring soft yet resolute instrumentals anchored by a beautiful piano performance, Oliver’s soothing vocals stir the confidence within. Lyrics like “We will write these pages, carve our names in stone / This will be no mystery, let’s make history” are delivered with a sincerity that soothes the mind and calms the heart, and there’s no doubt that on “History,” Oliver has once again struck gold. Welcome back to BuzzMusic, Marc Oliver! Let's get straight to it. What's the scoop for "History?" What was the inspiration behind this release? I wrote "HISTORY" to myself and others as an ode to remember to leave an impact on the world. What we do can last forever, and it is something that drives me to write music. I will be gone one day, but my music will always be here. So, I guess I'm reminding everyone, "Let's Make History." I put it on this ep and upcoming album because I am releasing a song a month. Just get out there and let the world hear your sound—no wasted time. What did you first envision "History" being like when you got inspiration for this release? Was the final version different from what you thought it would be? Yes, The final version is different than when I wrote it. Not as a song, but I wrote it on acoustic guitar and groovy. I write most of my music on guitar or piano, and they come to life with production. I leave it to Beto to help guide the production of the songs I write. We have been working together for so many years that we get each other when it comes to music. You're gearing up to release your long-awaited debut album soon, right? Are there any releases on it you're incredibly excited to share with your fans? Yes, I will release two EPs with five songs each, then the full album with 11 songs. The first EP release will be in November, with the next release, "THING FOR YOU." I am very excited about that song coming out. But the song I am excited about is called "YOUR SONG." I wrote that song to ask my fiance to marry me last October. It will come out two days before our wedding on February 8th! That is one of the best songs I've written, and I am so stoked on the world to hear it. What do you think is the most essential quality for a musician to have and why? From my experience, you've got to have balls consistently, no looking back, not caring what anyone thinks about who you are or if they like your music; you have to keep going and putting your shit out, or else you will go crazy. You do that, and you will win. What's next for Marc Oliver? Is there anything you want to say to your fans? Everything is next! I'm still on track to drop a song a month, waiting for the phone call from SNL to host and play. I can't wait to see my songs at the top of the Billboard charts. And to the fans, Thank you for participating in this journey with me. It's been a fun ride, and it isn't going to stop. Please drop me a DM and see me at a show. Instagram Facebook

- From A Place Of Peace And Serenity, We Fly With Anna Duboc To “ The Great Escape”
The incredibly talented and multi-hyphenate artist Anna Duboc delivers her newest single, “The Great Escape,” transporting us to a place of peace, solitude, and emotion. Anna is unlike anyone we’ve seen in the industry. Being only 16 years old, Anna Duboc has many talents, including singing, songwriting, dancing, and performing. The talent of hers we connect with the most is the capacity to create true, raw connections with everyone who listens to her, and that is the magic that she creates with her music and her soothing lyrics. Don’t be mistaken. Not everything is pink and pretty in her world, let alone our world. But for Anna, that’s fine. She is capable of transforming and narrating sad, unhappy situations and letting us know that everything will eventually be just fine. Her lyrics are so relatable, so true to the heart, that she ends up hugging you in every word. “The Great Escape” is yet another of her astonishing pieces. Filled by the desire and yearning for a change, more specifically, an escape, as the title alludes to. Haven’t you ever felt the desire to just leave it all, all the pain, the memories, the hurtful situations, and go for something different? We’ve heard that traveling and meeting the world can really heal you, allow you to let go of things and people you never thought you could, and test your strength at an unimaginable capacity. Anna really does transport us to a place of peace and quiet for the soul, motivating us to look for any necessary changes that will make our day-to-day better, more harmonious, and soothing. We just want to stay close to her and her music. We hope you do, too; make sure to listen to “The Great Escape” and more of her amazing content on all streaming and social media platforms. How do you manage to be successful in all the activities you are currently doing? even in school? We heard you’re great in calculus. Thank you! It’s not that easy, but school is not stressful for me for some reason. I like learning, and I love doing music, so it just works itself out, I guess. What is the feeling that you want to transmit to your listeners with “The Great Escape”? The feeling of being in a place that brings you peace or joy, the feeling of being free of the weight on your shoulders. Have you ever had a “great escape,” or do you plan on having one any time soon? The song was actually inspired by my trip to France earlier this year. I just felt like all my worries were thousands of miles away, and I could just feel free, especially when I was in a more countryside area like Monet’s Garden. What advice would you give to any of your listeners who might be in a dark place right now? I would say take it one day at a time. Hold on because you will get stronger. It just takes time. The more you go through, the easier it gets and the more you learn how to enjoy life. What are you most excited about for the near future/what should we look out for? I am really excited to perform in Chicago with my theater program. The same program Ben Platt went to and mentioned in the New York Times recently. :) I love performing on stage. Instagram

I think most people are generally unhappy in their current relationships. A lot of people settle down young because they want to be married before they’re 30 or achieve some check in the box for their lives. The universe doesn’t work that way, and you can’t choose things like love from a place of practicality and control. Throughout the centuries, arranged marriages have occurred. Everyone remembers the stories of Romeo and Juliet, Tristan, and Isolde; it’s the age-old curse that true love never did run smoothly. Also, some loves just never could be; maybe they were too powerful for this world. The song was written based on true events. New Hampshire provides a stunning backdrop for the 'Dreaming' music video. How did you decide on this location, and how do you feel it enhances the emotional depth of the story? I love New Hampshire. I have been going up there since I was a child to Santa’s Village and to North Conway for vacations. I wanted a “Yellowstone” type of mood for this video. Instead of flying to Montana, I wanted to capture the beautiful mountains of New England, especially because I grew up in the region. I feel New England has a very rich history and timelessness to it, with an underlying spooky energy to it, especially in autumn. The song is a spiritual song and also has some dark elements to it compositionally, so I needed scenery that would reflect this hidden sadness the way New England does. The song "Dreaming" has struck a chord with listeners due to its relatable themes of longing and desire. Could you share your creative process in bringing this passionate country ballad to life, particularly in weaving storytelling into the music? My guitarist friend Brian Mckeever sent me a fully produced demo with banjo, drums, and acoustic guitars. The night he sent it to me, I wrote the song. The hook just came to me quickly, and I worked out the verses soon after. I tracked vocals with my microphone and sent them back with the demo track, and Brian responded, “Another hit.” Lucid dreams were such a big part of the twin flame experience I went through, so I thought this was perfect for the theme of “Dreaming” to portray the torment of dreaming of someone you can’t be with. The dreams for these types of connections can go on for weeks and even years, as mine did. In the video, I tried to portray the element of star-crossed lovers with the scene on the bridge where Antonio and I bump into each other: the lyrics say, “Did I know you in another time?” - as a lot of these connections are also rooted in past life connections. The chemistry between you and your crush in the video is palpable, yet it's a love that seems just out of reach. How did you approach portraying such raw emotions on screen, and did any personal experiences influence your performance? Antonio Decilla and I both are represented as models. We are trained to portray a certain look on camera for a photograph or commercial. However, sometimes the camera doesn’t lie, and real chemistry has to be there. It happens with actors all the time when they meet on set; there is this potent chemistry, and the crew and the audience can feel it. I am glad we were able to create some magic in this video and allow the viewers to feel something. What's next for you? The more I keep releasing music, the more opportunities arise. I am recording new music in September, and I will be releasing a follow-up single to this one. I also just got my own merch line, and I am so excited to partner with a woman-owned Long Island company, Madam Merchant, who designs all my products. I had a show this weekend where I am back in New Hampshire, playing alongside the Zac Brown band! The show sold out, so it was awesome. I also love Zac Brown band and loved that I got to see them live for the first time. I will also be playing in Nashville at Tin Roof in September and traveling out west to California for some shows in October. I just want to keep making music and making memories with the amazing people I’ve met so far on this journey. Instagram
