- Shining A Spotlight On Danny Arcane's Double Feature, “No Remorse” & “You Don't Know Me"
With his particular mood, singer-songwriter Danny captures audiences with his double release that speaks volumes and blurs the lines between genres. Danny holds his space between indie pop and rock with flushing guitar sounds and a storytelling mood that attracts the listeners with his highly relatable lyrics. As we enter the realm of "You Don't Know Me," the music video feature on Arcane's double release, you can instantly tell he has signed his signature all over it."You Don't Know Me" sends a powerful message that will strike chords with listeners today. "No Remorse," the second song featured on Arcane's double release, is a song for anyone who ever really wanted something so wrong but then, after receiving it, no longer found it worth it. The upbeat vocals led by guitar and drums and Arcane's story behind how it all started make it a unique piece of art. "I pictured all the photos talking back as I looked at them, which sparked the initial idea, over more thoughts kept popping into my head, and I combined those ideas along with some other influences, and the concept was made." - Carly Hanley Opens Up On The Creation Of “Ooh La La”
We loved your release “Ooh La La”, It felt so deliciously classy and dance at the same time! We had to ask, what was the creative process like for this song? How did you first visualize it? During the last week of recording, my producer, Jayson Kramer, came to the studio with this big horn instrumental track that captured a sound we had been working to find - elegant, classic, spicy. I instantly started seeing red lipstick, sparkles, fancy drinks at a lounge, and a vintage bathtub. I took the instrumental home and had one day to write lyrics based on our recording schedule. So I went for a walk downtown, in Chicago, and found myself in alleyways with old fire escapes and beautiful murals and then came home, took a candle-lit bubble bath, with Aretha Franklin playing, and started to write. The words “gentlemen” and “Ooh La La” came to me, and the whole story flowed very quickly from there. Growing up, what inspired you to first start making music, and what inspires you to keep making it now? I’ve always had an overwhelming desire to connect with people. I grew up in a small mountain town, Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and while others around me found their joy in the outdoors, I embraced every opportunity to perform or was tucked away writing music. As the youngest of four, my siblings introduced me to artists via mix CDs, and my parents had a strong vinyl collection. Music was always playing in our home from all corners of the house. I think the influence of so many various genres inspired me to explore what I would be capable of creating myself. There wasn’t a specific moment I remember sitting down to write for the first time. It always happened organically. You mentioned you’ve always felt a little torn between your hometown of Steamboat Springs and your birth city of Chicago. As two remarkably different places, how have they influenced your growth as an artist? The differences between these two places have vastly contributed to the versatility in my music. The combination of inspiration from nature and the city has resulted in a unique sound and writing style that I always surprise myself with and am grateful for. When I’m combatting inner fearful thoughts and working to quiet my very busy mind, I have found great clarity through nature. My EP Radiant and song River showcase that experience. When I moved to Chicago, I gained a deeper understanding of a different part of myself - I loved being a little extra, a little over-the-top, and a little more confident than I had been before. Ooh La La, and every track from my upcoming album Ruby, represents the empowered version of me. What goals do you want to achieve through your music, and if your listeners could take one thing away from your music what would you want it to be? As I write, I try to open myself to whatever seems to flow through me. It really feels like I am working to connect to a listener, and oftentimes I ask myself the question, “What do they need to hear?” I try to live in a meditative, open-heart, and open-mind state of listening, observing, and gathering inspiration so that when I sit down to write, the messages flow through me and onto paper. I hope my music creates a feeling of ease, connection, shared experience, and, most importantly, a reminder that we’re not alone. What’s next for Carly Hanley? Your new album, 'Ruby' is dropping this fall. Do you have any songs from 'Ruby' that you’re especially looking forward to sharing with your fans? My album Ruby will be released on October 6th! I’m excited for the listeners to hear how different each track is from one another, knowing that there is a common thread of empowerment throughout. This album shares major parts of my life from the last five years - each song is about a unique experience or different important person that has come into my life. Because of this, I’m extremely excited to see which tracks are the most relatable for listeners. Read our full review of "Ooh La La" here. Instagram Facebook
- PALAWN’s Talks His New Single, “Weekend (Let’s Party)” In Exclusive Interview
Welcome to Buzz Music, PALAWN! We loved "Weekend (Let's Party);" we loved the feel-good vibes! What was the inspiration behind this song? Were you drawing from personal experience? Thank you so much for having me; I appreciate the love you gave me on my debut single and am grateful to be back. My inspiration was actually the dope production by Rebbel (London). I was at Timeless Recording Studios in Cincinnati, listening to the track. It felt releasing, distressing, and felt so good that I couldn't stop moving, and those were the words that came out from my stream of consciousness [with help from Pershard Owens (St. Louis) & Patrick Perez (Toronto)]. Yes, of course, drawing from personal experience but also others' experiences as well. We have had that job where we count down the seconds until the weekend hits to do what we want and have those precious days to share with our BFFs. What inspired you to first start making music, and what inspires you to continue doing so now? I have never known my life without music, I started singing at my hometown church when I was three years old and writing when I was 14, and it's just in my being. I couldn't live without it, honestly. What pushes me now is not having a POC queer artist to look up to when I was younger. We currently have so many beautiful examples in mainstream and indie industries; Victoria Monet, Jayse Vegas, Wuhryn Dumas, Durand Bernard, and Tre G are inspirations that come to mind. What's been your favorite thing about being an artist and being able to release your music for your fans? I enjoy the creative freedom and control as PALAWN because I can talk about and say whatever is on my mind with no inhibitions, hoping my friends out in the world can relate. How would you describe your music to someone who hasn't heard it before? Urban Dance Pop; I love ALL genres, so don't be afraid if I switch it up; I'm not one for boxes. It's more so whatever I feel. However, my newest release, "Weekend (Let's Party)," gives David Guetta, Jason Derulo, Kenyon Lonsdale, and Troye Sivan vibes. What's next for PALAWN? Can we expect to hear more music soon, and is there anything you'd like to say to your fans? YES! I've completed my PRIME COLOR single series and am now moving on to secondary prime colors, so more music to come, definitely. This will lead to an LP release at the top of 2024, and getting ready to shoot visuals VERY soon; I'm EXTREMELY excited, so please follow me on my socials to see and hear when things are happening! I'm so grateful to my friends out there who have discovered me. I hope that my music pushes you toward love and greatness. Thank you for being YOU; God is love, period. Instagram
- Dedrick Sits Down To Discuss New Music Video For “Never Fall”
Congratulations on releasing your single and video for "Never Fall." You graciously share an immense amount of passion through both the song and visuals. Is there a moment or story that inspired the cognizant lyrics we take in? Yes, a little situation that made me go through various emotions happened not too long ago. By the grave of god and the support of my family, I made it out on top. I was able to reconnect and bond with my daughter afterward, so it's been a growing process overall. We pick up on your musical influences throughout this record regarding lyrical approach and instrumentation. What can you tell us about your creative process for crafting this song? Given my circumstances at the time, this song was hard for me to make. All I could come up with was the hook. I had the song conceptually ready. And little by little, I began formulating and piecing together what I wanted to say and how. I always push myself a song at a time and reward fans with replay value. So one of the gems I put in the song is a palindrome. The second verse is said forward and backward. The meaning changes from hearing the first half and the second. I really enjoy moments like that. With a music video so thought out, what message are you hoping your listeners take away from the filmic component of "Never Fall?" If there's a message to be found in Never Fall, it's never to give up. Fall nine times but get up 10. Never falling doesn't mean you can't slip or stumble. It means never to stay down, no matter the situation or circumstance you find yourself in. What emotions would you like this to bring out? And any emotion I want to carry onto my fans and listeners is that raw, rising, inspiring feeling. Please shine a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of filming this video. Behind the scenes was fun. I'll post more on my socials. It consisted of me and my boys going over the lines and how I wanted the visuals to look. A few days prior, I went over the entire video virtually and shot each scene to know what I wanted it to look like when it was time to hit. Dat Boy Sam did an excellent job capturing what I wanted the feel and vibe to be. He was patient and had great ideas, bringing the visual to life. What's next for you? I will be dropping skits mid to late August and weekly songs. I'm excited about where I'm at in this part of my journey. I look forward to seeing people's reactions and feedback when things drop more consistently. Read our full review of "Never Fall" here. Instagram

- Diving Into “Al Qiyama” With R.Y.M
Welcome to BuzzMusic, R.Y.M! We love the sound of your latest single, “Al Qiyama.” With a powerful message being sent out, what inspired the creation of this track? Thank you BuzzMusic, for making us feel at home! The sound of “Al Qiyama” carries the enormous vibrations and energy of two Lebanese brothers who decided to speak up and give a voice to the voiceless. As individuals, communities, and nations, we have been living on a broken vinyl record looping around and around, repeating the same mistakes and reopening scars. This whirling control phenomenon is felt more intensely in fragile regions like the Middle East. This is why, after almost ten years of hiatus, we were determined to end this Truman Show and to address the mass public via Music, a language that knows no barriers. What’s your origin story? How did you both decide to join forces and create such empowering and truthful Music? Our rap debut is a beautiful and painful mix of war, confusion, and loneliness combined with Music, brotherhood, and love. At age 10, war pushed our family to seek refuge in the mountainside. However, our parents were still commuting to work daily and only returned home late at night. We spent countless hours by ourselves, both figuratively and literally. This summer spent in the mountains made us who we are today. We only had each other. Our bond is deeply rooted in this phase of our lives. We could not filter or talk about our negative emotions, given our age and context. Hence we unintentionally blocked them and got lost in daydreaming. We connected with nature, created games from nothing, and were glued to the TV whenever we had electricity, hypnotized by rap and R&B videos on MTV Music. At night, we were soaked in the frustration and fear that radiated from our parents as we watched the news and saw the destruction that wars generate. In the midst of all of this beautiful pain, we picked up our pens and started writing. If your audience could take away the central message of “Al Qiyama,” what would you want it to be? In two words, the main message is to “Be Yourself.” This can be understood on so many levels: Don’t be afraid to stand out of the group, to find your truth, to question everything, to speak up when things are wrong, to pursue what you love, and to rise above bigotry and fabricated concepts. What’s your favorite part about making Music? What would it be if you could change one thing about your journey? We owe our lives to Music. Our souls are forever connected to this magnificent harmony of instrumental and vocal sounds. This is where we feel safe and prosperous. Music agglomerates all that is beautiful, even when fueled by misfortune or anger. The best part of making Music is this connection with the serene, peaceful, and beautiful, which translates into heartfelt lyrics, melodies, rhymes, and flows. Unfortunately, life in Lebanon led us to put this euphoric feeling on a back burner as we found no prospect for incubating our dreams and passions. We shifted our focus to our academic and professional careers. It takes some humility and courage to say that, regardless of how essential this decision was in developing our personalities, we were not doing it for ourselves but to prove something to others. Hence, if we change one thing about our journey, it would be self-awareness, value, and love. If we could go back in time and talk to our younger selves, we would have encouraged two lost twin brothers to be confident, hopeful, resourceful, patient, and faithful. With this single symbolizing your musical rebirth, what are you looking forward to accomplishing? We are not taking this rebirth slightly. Now that we had a taste of death (from an artistic perspective), we are indulging in the pleasure of being alive! Despite the physical distance and workload, we will continue to create new Music (as we are both fully engaged in non-governmental humanitarian careers). Step by Step, release after release, feature after feature, we want to establish an international community of individuals who share the same view and values. We want to leave a mark on future generations and help build a more humane world. Due to our configuration, we rely entirely on digital platforms and supporters to spread our message and help take us to the next level. So we salute you for contributing to our universal project. We will release a new track with an entirely different vibe and style! And would love for you to accompany us on our journey. Instagram Facebook

- David Houle Captivates Us With An Outstanding Vocal Performance On His Powerful Release, “Some Say”
The multi-talented musician shows off his varied skill set before stealing the show with a standout performance. Hailing from the rural area of Loretteville, Quebec, multidisciplinary artist David Houle has been no stranger to overcoming adversity. He battled addiction for a decade, turning to music and songwriting to shine a light on his darkness. The result? Where others may have faltered, he rose like a phoenix, emerging better than ever before to become a man reborn. Today, he motivates audiences to face their struggles using the same instrument that saved him when he needed it: music. Armed with a powerful conviction and even greater artistic abilities, this talented musician looks to inspire a simple message; “Every day, you have the chance to start over.” Houle comes to the table with an elevated poise that befits his rich experience in the music industry. He’s rubbed shoulders with the best, performing with Montreal's atypical metal band Deadly Apples at the 25th Vans Warped Tour alongside giants like Good Charlotte, Blink 182, and Simple Plan. Having also worked alongside Cindy Lauper in the Tony Award-Winning musical Kinky Boots, Houle has proved that his artistry is as diverse and versatile as it is skilled, and there seems to be no limit. Although he may come from rural beginnings, it’s clear that this rising star is destined for big things. Houle’s latest release, aptly named “Some Say,” feels like a gorgeous and decadent offering with high replay value of the strength of Houle’s vocal performance alone. Featuring instrumentals that feel nebulous and a little mysterious, Houle’s vocals steal the show. With Houle’s rich, expansive delivery, lines like “You push me back when we were down in LA” and “We chose the storm, downpour / Can’t take it anymore” cut straight to the heart and give you chills. It’s a standout offering from an artist just scratching the surface of his vast potential, and we can’t wait to see how far Houle will take this. David Houle’s “Some Say” is a powerful and captivating release that will leave you chills. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Houle’s latest release, “Some Say,” available now on all majour streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, David Houle! We loved "Some Say," we had to ask! What was the inspiration behind this release? Were you drawing from personal experience? Bonjour BuzzMusic! Thank you for having me! My inspiration for this song was Heartbreak. I had poured my heart into a relationship that ultimately fell short. Writing "Some Say" helped me move on without feeling anger or resentment toward that person. Sometimes, we make something work that is different from the right fit. I lost myself trying to please someone who wasn't fully available. What is your creative process typically like for songs? Could you take us through the process for "Some Say?" My first step is to record a rough vocal draft of the song. I will track some vocals for the entire track without set lyrics. The theme was clear for this song, and I base my trial runs around that vibe. I do that about five times, then spend the next few days listening to each take and choosing what melody and lyrics make the most sense. Before I head to the studio, I know what I want sound-wise, and with the help of the sound engineer, I can make my vision come to life. I had the privilege to work with Luis Pacheco when recording this single. He is an incredible sound engineer. What inspired you to start making music, and what inspires you to make music today? I started making music during the pandemic when I was out of work and struggling to remain sober. I was determined not to relapse, and I just started recording on my laptop one night. It helped me get through some difficult nights and has become the primary way I process what I am going through healthily. What inspires me to make music today are the possibilities. I want to see where it can lead me. I gain more confidence with every project and have so much I want to explore. My sobriety journey also inspires me. I am coming up on four years sober and am incredibly thankful for this second chance I have at life. When you are in active addiction, you waste so much time. What inspired me is continuing to discover what kind of artist I am while balancing the ups and downs. What's been your favorite part about being a musician so far? My favorite part has been creating music videos. I am a professional dancer and also a choreographer. For this music video, I had the privilege to have one of my best friends, Amber Teolis, fly from Canada to film with me in Las Vegas, where I worked. As a multidisciplinary artist, my favorite part of being a musician is combining different mediums to create a vision. The possibilities are endless, and each project captures a precise chapter of my life. What's next for David Houle? Can we expect to hear more new music soon, and is there anything you want to say to your fans? I am always working on new music!!! I have some ballads I released in the past that I am remixing. I will do short covers every few weeks and post them on my Instagram and YouTube channels. I also have a heavy metal song I've been working on inspired by the time I toured with Marylin Manson. I'm figuring out what is the next best step to take, but yes, definitely, new music is coming out in 2024. I am also trying to get more exposure for my singing career and think a television competition show might be an excellent way to share my journey and connect with more people. The dream is to collaborate with like-minded artists and record an entire album. To my fans, thank you for listening to my music and sharing my content. It does make a huge difference as an independent artist. Stay tuned...I'm looking forward to the following year. It will be life-changing. For anyone struggling with addiction, know that change is possible and you are worth living a meaningful life. I am here for you. Let me be your voice. Thank you BUZZ, for the support and love. It's always a pleasure talking with you. À bientôt!!! Instagram

Today, we’re immersed in the creative, shiny, and unique world of the songwriter, singer, composer, and producer Franny London. With her newest single, “Metal,” The 23-year-old British artist presents us with her art-pop experimental rhythms and heart-stopping lyrics. Franny started her musical journey back when she was just seven years old, and 16 years later, she has been able to forge her particular, unexampled, dreamy vibe and voice. After her major debut in 2022, Franny London is back with “Metal,” an ethereal, contagious, meticulously composed art piece that, if we had to describe with one word, it would be desire. “Metal” is all about that back and forth of love and, therefore, the desire accompanying it. Have you ever noticed how fleeting the sensation of falling in love, of greed or passion? How tremendously changing is every situation that one day you feel you have the world in your hands and the next, you’re left with a hole in your chest. That’s precisely what Franny wanted to express and what she was inspired by to create this song. As Franny expressed about “Metal”: “always shades of blue when I was conceiving it - turquoise, cobalt, and ultramarine blue.” You can sense this song's raving, invading sensation in your body and soul. We would listen to this song using earphones, feeling like the main character on a night-time road trip with the highest volume on or at a viewpoint admiring the lights of our favorite city.
