Listen to "Hollow" here and get to know more about Biispo in our interview below. Hi Biispo! Can you start by introducing yourself and explain your stage name? My name is Biispo and I am a DJ/producer from California. My stage name came from a time when my friend and I would frequent a family-owned bistro that was close to our homes. My friend would always joke and give me a hard time about always calling it a bistro instead of the actual name of the place. Around the time when I started to make my own music, I just finished a semester at school and looked through one of my old yearbooks and thought of that memory. I had trouble trying to make a stage name at the time and Biispo kind of rhymed with bistro so I just stuck with it. What was your upbringing into music like? How did you get started? I was heavily influenced by music mainly by my father. He would always play different ranges of different genres of music. I got started with music at twelve years old by teaching myself to play the drums. I remember wanting to join my school's band class but the requirement was to be able to read music. I could not read music so I learned how to play the drums myself by intently watching live performances and honing in on the drummers and watching for what specific sound would come from the drumstick hitting each different part of the drum. From then on I was hooked! I became comfortable with the drums and taught myself various other instruments by listening to classical music and/or various different instrument covers intently. I just kept going with it and never looked back. What goal did you strive to achieve with “Hollow”? What inspired it? The inspiration for this song stems from a surprise trip my friend and I took in our last year of high school. My friend showed up at my door and said "Hop in the car we're going wherever" and I just went along with it. We did not have a plan but we made the most out of hanging out and doing whatever we could do. I tried to make something that encapsulated the essence of a free spirit. What are three things you want your fans to know about you? The first thing I would want them to know is my reason behind making the music that I make and want to make. I like to craft songs that can really tell a story, even when there is not much lyrical power to a song. The second is that just as much as I love making music, I also love taking pictures. Just as I feel as though music captures moments and emotions, so do pictures and I like capturing that. The third, and final, thing is that I still cannot read music. Where do you pull inspiration from? I pull my inspiration from a lot of factors but mainly from my experiences or my friend's experiences. Also, from my favorite artists such as Madeon, Pharrell, and Dj Snake. twitter.com/onlybiispo instagram.com/onlybiispo

Niko Stark collaborates with some of today’s most emerging artists, enriching and diversifying his projects. Niko Stark released the thematic record titled “Hold On,” and it was a major VIBE! The pop-soaked production was fun and enjoyable to listen to. “Hold On” was a finely-calibrated and grandiose charismatic hit that can be a good tune to dance alongside fall in love too! Can summer love be in the air for you? Imagine listening to a stratospheric and atmospheric dance hit with romantic melodies that can get you into the party mood in a relaxed manner. The song goes through various transitions, shying away from a singular-paced track. Instead, the multiple components and elements fused in “Hold On” created a more diverse and unexpected experience. The rhythm of each transition was on point, despite being at different paces. Niko Stark is undeniably a talented artist who has a lot in store for him. “Hold On” is an excellent offering from this hitmaker. Being a DJ may have many different challenges opposed to recording the song, so we must ask, what’s the most difficult aspect in producing the perfect hit? I think that the "perfect hit" is based on artistic honesty. Being a DJ is a privileged contact with the crowd. I can clearly feel the positive energy that the public can have. In opposition, when I produce a song. I must be in my feelings. If one day I'm sad I have to use that to create a melancholic song, if I'm happy I'm doing the same thing. I think that's one of the challenges. And if you feel something in turn when you listen to my songs, I succeeded. This is the biggest challenge. It’s beginning of everything. What has been the most monumental moment in your career thus far? The most monumental moment is coming. I challenge myself continuously. I knew several key moments, meetings that helped to create my own story. But I think that the monumental moment must be like the Holy Grail. What is exciting is the way to achieve it. when I get closer, it could be a monumental moment. Tell us about this hit “Hold On”! What was your vision for it? My vision of this song was based on "gender fusion". I wanted to find in this music of the vibrations "rock" that one finds with the riff of guitar on a rhythm "hip-hop" and all on contemporary electronic sounds. I also wanted to create an effect at first listen. A lot of current music has a very linear structure, I wanted to surprise the audience with a song like "hold on", creates a change of tempo in the middle allows to approach different feelings on a single song. In your artist point of view, how would you construct the perfect environment to listen to “Hold On” ? The perfect environment to listen to, will be in the hours or the night comes, during the sunset, at the wheel of a superb sports car on the California coast around Santa Monica or Arizona road not so far of Monument Valley with as only goal rolling towards the horizon ... Yes it can Looked like a scene in fast & furious movies! Thank you for sharing with us Niko Stark! Any exciting upcoming announcements you’d like to make? Thanks you too, it’s a pleasure to share my work with you. Coming soon I have several collaboration that will come out with artists from US. I don’t yet the release date of the next title called "OCEANS" in collaboration with my friend who sings on "hold on", his name is V.I.N.C.E. an amazing singer. - Carolina Rial Dives Headfirst Into New Jersey's Scene With Her Newest Single, "Know Me Better."
As an artist who began her musical journey at the age of 10, she excels at highlighting her youthful energy and established mastery over her voice. With her following growing steadily, and her live performances transitioning from the likes of Carnegie Hall to Madison Square Garden, it's clear that this young talent is already making waves in the industry at only 16 years of age. And this year, "Know Me Better" is Carolina Rial's first single since "Remember Me," her 2019 endeavor. Still, it shares more with the dance-motivating moments of modern pop's biggest hits: call-and-response vocals delays, gently and robotically stacked in the chorus, as well as dramatic mastery of pauses and faltering space between transitions before the final crescendos. The refrain of Carolina Rial's latest single lands as inspirational and in lesser informed hands and has a performatively blue surface meaning behind it. "I listen to the voices in my head," is the sort of thing your most needy friend would say to you before imparting some insight on their inner state —but Carolina finds real strength in the declaration. Over the dance-fueled, bright-pop hit that has become her forte, the young singer confirms her confidence in herself: "I know they know me better, keep holding me together," she sings, highlighting every word with addictive vibrato and a warm saturation, "I see the world with open arms, battle scars, and broken hearts." Punchy, low-end kick surges underneath her as if to state her resilience and confidence are one and the same. It's the kind of internal admission—steadfast, accepting—that fights external influences from reducing her inner worth, especially when paired with the song's proficient and polished production. Carolina emphasizes a problematic struggle with imagistic lines about others' disbelief of her and being overlooked. The uplifting nature of the track feels genuine and memorable, and with a masterful vocal performance, "Know Me Better is most definitely the spotlight for this upcoming summer's go-to pop songs. You can listen to "Know Me Better" here. Hey there, Carolina! Welcome to BuzzMusic! We're especially excited to be featuring "Know Me Better"! Tell us more about the key message behind this song. Why do you feel this was an important message to express? Hi, thank you so much for featuring me! “Know Me Better” is a really special song to me because of the meaning behind it. I feel like as a young artist in the game, it can be challenging for people to take you seriously from the start and how easily it is to be taken advantage of. I’m 16 now, and there have been some moments throughout the past year and a half when I’ve been fully pursuing music, where people have looked down on me just because of my age. Sure, I don’t have half the experience as someone who’s been doing this for five or ten years or longer, but we have to remember that they also started from the bottom to get to where they are now. My song “Know Me Better” expresses the passion and drive that I’ve always had to become successful in this industry. Now more than ever, it’s such an important message to deliver because everyone and anyone’s dreams should never be underestimated because of how young they are. You prove to show full control over your voice, it seems like it comes naturally, even at such a young age. Are there any habits you've been able to credit to your capabilities as a confident vocalist? I first started singing when I was 10 but didn’t start taking it seriously until I was about 12 or 13. Practice really does make progress. It’s been amazing to see how much I’ve developed as a vocalist and musician over the last few years. I always make sure to take care of my voice as well. Never overuse or strain it. When performing live, I try to never let my nerves get the best of me. It’s kind of funny actually, I usually get really excited to perform but right before I sing, I get nervous. Then as soon as I take my first step on stage or on a field, it all goes away and it’s just me and the microphone. Especially when I’m performing in big arenas and stadiums, I really have to hone it all in and focus on what I’m about to deliver... because there’s really no going back after a live performance lol. Who has been your number one influencer since you first started singing, and how has their inspiration helped you develop your own style? For as long as I can remember, I’ve always looked up to my mother. She’s been a single mom since I was three and has never given up on herself. I’m beyond grateful for her and everything that she’s sacrificed for my siblings and me. She’s always told me to be original and transparent. That has inspired me to develop my own style and never conform to anything else. Now that I’ve found something I’m so passionate about in life, I want to do everything that I can to give back and say thank you to her. Musically, I’ve always been inspired by the legendary divas growing up such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Christina Aguilera alongside current powerhouse vocalists like Demi Lovato, Jessie J, and Alicia Keys. Thanks for joining us at BuzzMusic! What are the next steps for you, Carolina? Do you intend to release an album soon? How about any events or campaigns to further promote "Know Me Better? Thank you so much again for having me and premiering my first music video! I feel so lucky to have worked with some incredible people on that including videographer, Matt Marlinski, and director, Skyler Cocco. A quick shoutout to Zach Miller who produced the track and Jamison Fox and Skyler Cocco for co-writing it! The music video will be available for all to watch on my YouTube channel, CarolinaRial. I’ve been working a lot on music during these past few weeks while we’ve all been stuck at home including some collabs, so expect to hear new music very soon! I’m not going to be releasing an album this year, but I want the audience to know that I plan on releasing an EP next year, date TBA. instagram.com/carolinarialmusic

SharaLee got her first experience with soulful ballads at church, first gracing the stage of her local parish at the age of five, paired with her mom singing harmony. Influenced by Christian Contemporary, the '70s, and '80s Adult Contemporary and Country Western, SharaLee's love of passionate, reflective music fueled her recording endeavours. In 2005 SharaLee travelled to Nashville to record her first demo of original songs from local Nashville songwriters. Each recording experience has led SharaLee to explore other genres and sounds, refusing to be defined by one specific category of music. SharaLee's lifelong experience in R&B and gospel was an arena of sound SharaLee had been longing to revisit and get back to her church roots. In 2015 she teamed up with songwriter/producer Mark Zubek and co-wrote the single "Together Again." The single fused musical profiles of where SharaLee had been and where she was headed. - Interview: A Look Into Helen Maw's New Song, “Mine Tonight”
Hey Helen Maw, welcome to BuzzMusic! We’ve entered musical heaven after listening to your emotionally-rich single “Mine Tonight”. Could you share how you found the right lyrics to portray your message on ‘Mine Tonight”? What was Helen Maw’s songwriting process like? Hi! Thank you, great to speak to you guys again! Thanks so much, I really enjoyed writing Mine Tonight actually! I had the melody first and knew I wanted the song to be romantic in nature and the phrase Mine Tonight was stuck in my head and the lyrics came from there. I wanted it to be a reminiscent song that explored how you could go from that initial exciting place of meeting someone and falling in love to then being at a strange place where you're somewhat estranged and so you just want to recapture the feelings that you once had, even if it was only for one more time. Your single “Mine Tonight” is a beautiful ballad letting your voice and melodic piano stand alone. Where did Helen Maw want the underlying instrumentation to take the song, and how did you find the chord progressions to support your lyrics? For this song, I wanted the lyrics to take the lead. Therefore I kept the instrumentation to a minimum. The piano needed to be the main instrument but I also wanted the harmonies behind the lead vocal to add another layer to the song. With regards to the chord progressions in the song, I wanted it to have a country/blues feel and so I played around with the chords to achieve this and added the ascending bassline to accentuate the chord changes. It’s evident that your latest single “Mine Tonight” surrounds the heart-wrenching emotions of wanting someone and remembering the love that both of you have for each other. Could Helen Maw elaborate on the moment you knew you had to take these emotions and create what is now “Mine Tonight”? I'll admit, I've never been in a situation like that romantically but I have had relationships with friends and people where unfortunately you ultimately grow apart. It's always sad when you fall out of love with someone and I just wanted to try and put that emotion into a song as for me, it's easier to put my feelings into a song than it is to speak them out loud! Off your latest EP titled “Everything in Between”, Helen Maw is said to cover the positive and negatives that come with love, much like your single “Mine Tonight”. What do you want your listeners to takeaway from the EP as a whole, what messages do you want to stand out? I want people to reflect when they listen to this EP. I think everyone at some point will go through various experiences of love, whether that be positive or negative and so they will be able to relate to some of the messages in my songs. Most of all though, I just want people to enjoy it. Listen to "Mine Tonight" here. facebook.com/helenmawofficial instagram.com/helenmawmusic

- We Love Helen Maw’s “Your Little Secret”- She Won’t Be A Secret For Long
When one listens to Liverpool-based singer/songwriter Helen Maw, the first word that ought to come to mind is feeling. She makes us feel things. At 22, the Liverpool-based singer/songwriter is already making strides in enkindling our deepest vulnerabilities and compelling us to face them. The unbridled honesty in her vocal delivery makes for a soothing auditory treat, and she oozes a passion -an unvarnished emotional depth- that is almost palpable in her debut single “Your Little Secret”. The opening piano chords offer a soul-stirring kaleidoscopic view of the overall sombre tenor of this powerful ballad. Maw sings with the seasoned tone of a sorrowful woman who has been in love and has had to endure the pain of her love being relegated to nothing more than a clandestine affair. She is an inconsolable survivor of the treacheries of love, but a survivor nonetheless, and is resolved in her decision to not “be your little secret”. They say hell hath no fury as a woman scorned, and this moving piece is a testament to that adage. The impetus of “Your Little Secret” continuously finds its genesis in melancholic keys that cleanly buttress the emotional urgency of the song. The lyrical maturity displayed by Maw is potent enough to ignite ardent flames in even the most emotionally disengaged. An unembellished and uncompromised presentation of one of the most significant yet trivialized human experiences, heartbreak, is what Helen Maw so effortlessly and unrestrainedly surrenders in this beautiful love song. This little lady sings the Blues, and we love her for it! Listen to "Your Little Secret" here and get to know more about Helen Maw below. Helen, it has been great speaking with you. Tell us a little bit more about yourself. Thank you! It's been really great working with you guys too! So, I am a singer/songwriter from Liverpool in the UK and I have been performing and writing my own songs for a few years now. I studied Music at Liverpool Hope University and graduated in 2017, then I went back to study for a Popular Music Master's Degree which I graduated in January. I have been playing and learning music since I was a child and it has always been something I have loved doing! I feel very lucky to be from Liverpool as it is such a vibrant city with so much going on and there are so many amazing artists that have come from Liverpool who are a real source of inspiration for me! In my spare time, I love reading, listening to music, photography and supporting Liverpool Football Club. You have an undergraduate degree AND a master’s degrees in Music. Impressive. How has being formally educated in the language of music helped your creativity? I think it's been very important for me to receive formal education in music. By going to university, I have been able to learn so much that I didn't know before, especially in areas of music that I am not overly familiar with. Also, just being in that university environment and being surrounded by like-minded people was really beneficial to me and definitely helped me to be more creative and push myself out of my comfort zone when I'm writing songs. I think it's so important when you are a creative person, to learn as much as you can about the type of music that you make but also the other types of music that are out there too. Your Little Secret” is so raw and seems almost personal. What inspired this song? Thank you! I think it is a very personal song for me although it isn't written about one specific person. I think it is more about experiences that you have throughout life when you meet people and although you give them your all, they don't always reciprocate it. Again this isn't necessarily in a romantic sense but even if you consider yourself as someone who is always trying to please everyone around you, sometimes it is too much and you aren't always appreciated and it's that feeling that you get when that happens, that I'm sure everyone has felt at some point, which inspired me to write this song. So I definitely feel that it is one of the most honest and personal songs that I have written! You have played at the prestigious Liverpool Philharmonic Hall; what was it like to perform in front of such a large audience? How does performing live compare to recording in the studio? I would definitely say that performing at the Philharmonic was one of my proudest moments. It is such an iconic venue in Liverpool and so many amazing artists have performed there. When I performed, it was for a local charity event and it was so amazing to step out onto the stage and see so many people in the audience. There is no other feeling like performing live! I think you get different feelings when you are performing live, compared to recording in the studio. When you have performed live, you get such a rush of adrenaline and excitement and it is one of the most thrilling experiences you can have! When I am in the studio, it is a different kind of excitement. I always get a sense of pride when I am recording as you are piecing the vision you have of your song together and it's such a rush of emotions when you hear the song back, all mixed, for the first time. Now that you’re releasing more material, what’s next for Helen Maw? Well I have my first single coming out on June 29th! I'm very excited as this is my first release so a lot to look forward to! For the rest of this year, I am going to keep writing, performing and recording my music and hopefully keep releasing it. I have a lot of performances coming up over the summer in and around Liverpool so I am really looking forward to those. Thanks so much for speaking to me. instagram.com/helenmawmusic
- Nikitaa Brings A Big Twist To The Pop Scene With Her Latest Single, "Clutch"
South Asian singer/songwriter Nikitaa is all about bringing intimacy, as well as a sense of vibrancy, to her sound. We hear it effortlessly in her music, and especially so in recent collections from her. With a strong sense of Indian culture, Nikitaa strives to intertwine her love for classical Indian music and her passion for pop sounds. As a result, Nikitaa constructs a genre she refers to as, "Goddess Pop", and the product of her sound follows an empowering pursuit. Listeners can expect to receive wit and sass from Nikitaa (truly the best properties of a pop goddess) but still manages to bring a humbling sense to her music. Nikitaa released her luscious and exotically-driven single, "Clutch", and we can't get over how hypnotized we are by both her vocal sound and the dynamics presented in the accompanying music video. The song begins with the sensual vocal performance of Nikitaa, which appears itself as this certain kind of warmth that cascades over our senses. "Clutch" feels very dramatic with its alluring production, and the range that Nikitaa has with her voice is what brings this source of eloquence to the song. The music video matches this elegance that pours off of the song, and the natural charm of Nikitaa emulates easily onto listeners. We felt very stimulated by the music video for "Clutch". Nikitaa ensured that listeners were faced with a surplus of scene changes with a strong sense of enigmatical expressions, and that's what truly won us over with the design of the video. All in all, "Clutch" will gain your attention with ease, and Nikitaa's artistic persona will leave you craving so much more from her. - Interview: "Boom" By 6 Speed Supernova
Welcome to BuzzMusic, 6 Speed Supernova! We’ve heard that the group serves an eclectic mix of Rock, Funk, and Jazz within your music. What made 6 Speed Supernova want to hit back with the hard-hitting Rock n’ Roll anthem “Boom”? We miss instruments in modern music. We love DJs and encourage experimentation with electronic additions to tracks, but we really wanted to remind people that the music those DJs and a lot of current artists are sampling is the result of the blood, sweat, and true talent of musicians who actually play instruments! We wanted to ring that notion home with the power vocals, pounding drums, eclectic bass line, and shredding guitar that you hear in BOOM! Your single “Boom” captures intricate melodies and complex instrumentation. Between the four-piece that is 6 Speed Supernova, could you share how the bands creative/songwriting process went about for your single “Boom”? BOOM was actually the first song that 6SS wrote as a group. As is normally the case, either guitarist David or bassist Joan will come in with a song idea or a riff progression that they've been working on and present it to the band. If it immediately makes us feel something, we play with it, twist, and tweak it adding drums and vocal melodies until we get it to a place where we feel it was meant to be all along. Guitarist David brought the idea of BOOM to the group. Singer Marie, who is David's sister, immediately understood what the vocal should sound like and the song, as sometimes happens, actually came together quite quickly, which we like to think was a great sign of chemistry and things to come. Speaking on 6 Speed Supernova’s (6SS) genre influences, 2/4 members have an intense background in Jazz. How does this help 6SS experiment beyond the realm of Rock, and bring unique elements to your sound? Having two of our four members with roots in Jazz (although they are well-rounded musicians in numerous genres) is great because it gives our songs a flavor you don't normally get to experience in rock music. The tracks tend to be driven by the groove and having a rhythm section that speaks the same musical language makes songwriting a lot more fluid because they instinctively know where the other is headed. Not only has 6 Speed Supernova opened for Steven Adler of Guns N’ Roses, but your single “Boom” was also chosen by Classic Rock Magazine for “Best of The Year, So Far, 2019”! With these accomplishments at hand, what do you want to say to our readers about how 6SS intends to use their established platform, and what messages do you want to serve as a group? We were thrilled and honored by the response to our EP - ALL ABOARD THE LIGHT RAIL. Every musician dreams of having their songs noted in a top industry publication and being able to play alongside the greats like Guns N' Roses. It was surreal! We would like our fans and our soon to be fans to know that we are just getting started. We're planning, once this COVID situation is under control, to bring our show to more venues beyond our home state of California. We want to meet more of you, provide our live show experience for you and continue to positively impact your lives through doing what we love doing most.......making music. What can we expect to see from you throughout 2020? We're excited for 2020! The world is in a delicate place right now but one of the things that has and always will lift the spirits of people is the power of music. Our full-length album, Galactic Boogaloo is so close to being done we can taste it. We're hoping to finish it up and get it out to you by Summer 2020. Thereafter, if the state of the world complies, we're planning to take a few mini-tours to play these songs for you in person. If the pieces of normalcy have not fallen back into place by then, we'll regroup and figure out a way to play for you, even if we have to do so from our rehearsal space. Grab a seat and hold on tight because we promise this ride is one you have never experienced before. The fuse is ignited and the 6SS rocket is set to launch in 5..4..3..2..1. * Listen to "Boom" here. instagram.com/6speedsupernova facebook.com/6speedsupernova 6speedsupernova.com
