- Little Lazy Leads Us Into 'BREAKOUT (Live)'
Little Lazy's debut album 'BREAKOUT (Live)' is a stunning work encapsulating the essence of raw and unbridled indie rock. With Brendan Pafford's commanding vocals and guitar and Kevin Cook's thunderous roars on drums, the duo has created a distinct sound that draws inspiration from The Black Keys, The Strokes, and Arctic Monkeys. The album, recorded live while the band toured and slept in their van, captures the energy and passion the band puts into their live performances. Their raw talent and passion have garnered them a lot of attention, and this album will surely take them to new heights. They've been featured on iHeart Radio’s "A Corporate Time with Tom & Dan" podcast, iHeart Real Radio 104.1's "Jim Colbert Show," Orlando Weekly Magazine (twice), and Orlando Magazine. The band will also be performing live for a fundraiser on April 21, 2023, to help raise funds for homeless youth, specifically students who can’t afford housing in school. The duo has been making waves in the indie-rock scene with electrifying energy and bold sound. Little Lazy's live performances are a sight to behold as well. With their high-octane tunes and infectious energy, it’s not hard to see that they are onto something great. The album perfectly represents their live performances and captures the essence of their musical soul, which greatly embodies their respective genre's past, present and future. The album starts with "Dizzy," the leading single; the song is an upbeat and catchy tune that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The intro is tapped in with a galloping drum roll, and The guitar riff is infectious distorted greatness. Simply said, Pafford's vocals are effortlessly captivating, making it impossible not to tap your foot along to the beat. The chorus is particularly catchy, especially when he goes up to a higher register giving us dark angel vibes sure to have you singing along in no time. The second track on 'BREAKOUT (Live),' "Miracle," is a faster-paced nostalgia-giving vibe that showcases Pafford's vocal range. The song is composed with all the crunch and energy you’d want while in a crowd full of mosh pit veterans. With a hauntingly warped guitar melody that solos you into a void of psychedelia, perfectly complements the lyrics of experiencing a “Miracle.” Pafford's voice is expressive and soulful. The distortion gives a crunchy ripping effect when he belts his vocals on the chorus, which is incredibly powerful and reminiscent of the classic backyard thrashers we grew up on, making this song a standout track on the album. "Daytime Shakes" leads us deeper into 'BREAKOUT (Live)' with its sunset whiskey on the rocks vibe that will have you feeling like the rose-tinted glasses as well as the person looking through them (don’t ask, listen, and you’ll get it ). As a slower song, "Daytime Shakes" still gives a high-energy tone that gives just the right amount of breathing space as you sail through the warm breeze of it all. The guitar riff is catchy, and the drums are thunderous, making it impossible not to move to the beat. Pafford's vocals are powerful and nostalgic, as usual, perfectly complementing the song's air. This track will surely be a fan favourite and a highlight of their live shows. The album comes to a heavy close with "Lights On," making way for a powerful chugging electric guitar riff that rips right through you only 3 seconds into the song and keeps going. "Lights On" is a true Megaforce of an anthem that demands your attention from start to end. Pafford's vocals are filled with raw emotion, perfectly capturing the feeling of taking a leap of faith. The song's instrumentation is once again striking and effective, with Cook's signature drums building to a powerful climax as Pafford's guitar riffs soar with a massive powerhouse solo before the last chorus. And with a massive powerhouse solo before the last chorus Little Lazy's debut album 'BREAKOUT (Live)' is a stunning work showcasing the band's raw and unbridled energy. With catchy guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and powerful vocals, this album will surely be a hit with indie rock fans. The fact that it was recorded live while the band toured and slept in their van only adds to the authenticity and rawness of the album. Little Lazy is a band to watch out for, and this album is a testament to their talent and passion. Be sure to tap into 'BREAKOUT (Live),'" available on all major platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Little Lazy. Cheers to a new legendary drop with 'BREAKOUT (Live).' How has your breakout success with the release of your debut album impacted your music and your approach to creating new material? This album allowed us to play naturally. Compared to our earlier “studio” songs that are more heavily produced, Breakout has a gritty, live feel which is the accurate way to enjoy our music. We want you to be able to close your eyes and make you feel like you’re in a dingy little club or at a house party. Since we’re currently a two-piece, this approach will give you the exact energy and sound you’d hear if you saw us live. We will definitely be expanding on this approach for future work. Can you describe the energy and vibe of your live performances of "Dizzy," the leading single from 'BREAKOUT (Live)?' How does the live version differ from the studio recording? “Dizzy” was a song that stood out to us on day one. Starting with those beefy and rhythmic drums, the song continues to have an upbeat yet bluesy-feel throughout. Along with a fun chorus, the energy will hopefully have you bobbing your head or tapping your feet to the beat. As for the “studio recording,” this is the studio recording. The only song with a previously-released studio recording was “Daytime Shakes.” But for “Dizzy” and the rest of the songs, these “live” versions will be the only versions you can expect to hear in the future. And that’s what makes this project so special to us. What was the inspiration behind the album 'BREAKOUT (Live),' and how does it embody the overall themes and messages of the album? The title “Breakout” is in reference to us breaking free of those traditional “studio” methods of recording (harmonies, layering, mixing and mastering, etc.) We want to show fans and new listeners exactly how we sound live. To do this, we recorded four takes of four songs and used solely our live stage setup to make it as exact as possible. Nothing more, nothing less. The songs fit an overall theme of the monotony of everyday life (“Dizzy” and “Daytime Shakes”), trying to make the best out of bad situations (“Miracle”), and fighting back against those “judgmental” types of people (“Lights On!”) who want to tear you down. The bluesy and dirty sounds only emphasize the feelings we had when writing the songs. We also chose to include some mistakes we made while recording, which only further emphasizes that mistakes are okay, especially in life. And sometimes mistakes only add to the greatness of the big picture. How do you envision your future musical projects with "BREAKOUT (Live)" being your debut album release? Will you continue to pursue a live recording style or explore different production techniques in the studio? We definitely want our future projects to have the same natural and energetic feel as Breakout. However, being a two-piece band, we always must consider what can be replicated in a live setting, given there are only two people on stage at all times. We’re always experimenting with our sound and mixing different methods to find those delicious, gritty tones that translate well for an audience. And connecting with our audience on stage is as crucial as writing music. As you continue to gain momentum and recognition as a two-piece indie-rock band, how do you see yourselves evolving musically in the future? Are there any particular genres or styles you're interested in exploring? We’ve been a two-piece band since early 2019 and have been focusing on our main genre of blues rock. However, as time ticks by, our sound has been evolving. Recently, we’ve been exploring harder, punkier genres and working with other musicians to help us get a bigger sound in a live setting. With this being said, don’t be surprised if you see a third person on stage with us in the near future. Unless we look worried or frightened…in that case, call security. Instagram Facebook

Don’t miss "Headaches and Butterflies," available on all major streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Seth Patrick. We were on a joyride with “'Headaches and Butterflies.” The song's title is a striking contrast. Can you tell us more about how you came up with the title and what it represents? I came up with the title when thinking this person doesn’t give me butterflies anymore, just headaches. I thought the two together would make a good title. But I think the song works best like both things together at once, rather than one and the other after. That’s why it’s headaches “and” butterflies, not “then.” I like the contrast in the lyrics. I think it’s relatable because you don’t just feel one thing in a relationship. It’s always complicated. For whatever reason, the title made me think “pop-punk.” Especially the headache part. I don’t think I necessarily set out to create a pop-punk song. It just kind of felt fitting. And at the time, I was listening to a lot of that genre as a guilty pleasure. I wanted the vocal melodies to fit the style and the intro and post hook to sound anthemic, like “All the small things” by Blink. You're known for your versatility across several genres as a producer and musician. How did you approach blending pop-punk and rock influences in "Headaches and Butterflies," and what other musical styles can we expect to hear on your upcoming album? I’ve been listening to a lot of different kinds of rock lately. I don’t think I blended genres in this song, but others on the album have other styles. There are a few with hip-hop influences with guitars like “Frostbite” and “Fight Me Till I Stay,” which are already out and a few in the works. There’s a particular type of rock and hip-hop that feels like it naturally fits together. I’m not putting any limits on the album style-wise. It’s not entirely going to be just Rock. There are different ways of contributing to the same concept. One thing that strings all these songs together is angst, but I can get that point across in different styles. They’re will be guitar solos, electric guitar riffs, 808’s, rap, live drums, acoustic piano songs, hard and soft, all of the above. Pop-punk made a comeback in the mainstream recently, and people sometimes refer to it as Rock under the Rock umbrella, but I think there are a lot of other kinds of Rock that could come around to mainstream again. Like old-school metal/classic hard rock. Biker/road trip rock. I’ve been listening to old bands like Mötley Crüe and AC/DC. I’m trying to make a classic track like that. Hopefully, Headaches is a good foot in the door for me with the rock thing since the hype for pop-punk is already there, and then I can reintroduce people to other rock stuff. "Headaches and Butterflies" is the fourth single from your upcoming debut album, a concept record heavily influenced by rock music. Can you tell us more about the concept and how "Headaches and Butterflies" fit into the larger narrative? The album is darker, and headaches lyrically touch some angst and pain but in a fun way. It sounds happy. I wanted to mix in a catchy and fun track that still contributes to the album's narrative. You grew up near Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Los Angeles five years ago. How have your experiences in both cities influenced your music and creative process, and how do you see your musical journey evolving in the future? Growing up in Ohio, you don’t meet many people who make music, but there are many different types of music I grew up listening to, and your experiences with friends and sharing music and going to shows impact you. The first time I saw John Mayer live was impressionable, both as a songwriter and guitarist. Going to fests and being friends in undergrad opens you up too. Then in LA, I met many talented people during music school and could dive deeper. At the end of the day, I try to listen to different styles and pull from as many artists as possible. Also, Machine Gun Kelly is from the same state as me and has been impactful, especially in his last two albums. Me making “Headaches and Butterflies” was definitely a product of the stuff he and his team have been doing. You can feel it in the drums and hear it in the melodies. Another interesting fact is that I had Sean Hurley, bass player for John Mayer, record some live bass for this song. I wrote the bass lines I wanted from him and layered them with another bass. I cut up some things to fit the vibe better. But left in a little bit of his performance, especially in the bridge. He was straightforward to work with, and I’d like to work again on something else. "Selfish" carries such a mass amount of heart as you pour your emotions into this sonic canvas. Was there a particular moment or story that inspired the song's creation? There were definitely multiple different people who inspired the heartbreak expressed in the song. I think that most people can relate to the feeling of deeply caring about someone who truly only cares about themselves. That's the story this song tells, and I hope it resonates with listeners as much as it has with me! Do you feel a release of the emotions you put into your music once the song is out to the public? How do you draw the line at not being pulled back into the emotional situations you profess? I always feel a sense of catharsis when I release a song - each record I put onto the internet is like a little piece of myself and my feelings, so sharing my music with people who may relate means the world to me. I wouldn't say that getting pulled back into emotional situations is a worry for me since, for me, writing songs is a way of coping and getting over my feelings. If your audience could take away one message from "Selfish," what would you want it to be? You're not alone, and you deserve to be loved. I care about you! From your first single release to the release of "Selfish," how have you found your sound adapting? I began releasing music when I was 10 years old (8 years ago!!), so my life experiences have influenced me greatly. My songwriting skills have also improved a lot! My sound has matured alongside me. Whether you’re a rock, theatre music, or pop fan, “Bad Years” is a song that captivates and inspires you. Do yourself a favour and check this one out. Available on all platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Kyle, and congratulations on your latest achievement, “Bad Years.” In the song, you reflect on your challenges in pursuing your musical dreams. Can you elaborate on the specific challenges? I think it all comes down to money. I’m independent, so I don’t have a big record label behind me. I have to pay for everything from studio time to publicity. If I didn’t have to worry about rent and food every month on top of my music, it would help me greatly! How did your personal experiences shape the song's creation? I’m the kind of songwriter who likes to record life. Sometimes life is fun, and sometimes it’s tough. So I am writing about all of it. I'm afraid the last few years have been more of the latter. There have been beautiful moments, but the weight of a pandemic, politics, and my own financial struggles has been a lot. I had to put it into a song. How did you balance the emotions of frustration and hopefulness in the song? There is a place for songs about recording frustration, fear, and loss. There are a few like that on the upcoming album. But this song needed hope. I needed hope. I think everyone needs a little right now! You have a background in musical theatre and have performed in Off-Broadway productions. How does your experience in theatre influence your approach to writing and performing alternative rock music, as seen in "Bad Years?" I always joke that you can take the boy out of the musical theatre, but you can’t take the musical theatre out of the boy! I have a theatrical voice for better or for worse. I grew up with 90s music like Red Hot Chili Peppers and R.E.M. I also grew up listening to Disney and Broadway. It all soaked in and creeps into my writing whether I want it to or not. I think it makes it more interesting, though! Your upcoming album features songs that explore life's struggles and finding joy in conflict. How does this song fit into the larger themes and message of the album? Can you give us a sneak peek into what other topics or experiences you explore on the album? “Bad Years” is definitely a culmination of a section of the album dealing with topics like imposter syndrome, depression, and self-sabotage. It’s not the title track but a significant track on the album. The album has some fun tracks, so it’s not all doom and gloom! What was it like collaborating with such diverse artists on“Bad Years?" How did their contributions enhance the overall sound and message of the song? Collaborating is my favourite part! Everyone brought their A-game to this song. I love to let each musician and singer add their style to it. It ultimately became all of us wishing that the bad years would soon be behind us. They got behind that message! You have released two full-length albums and several singles before "Bad Years." How does this song differ from your previous works, and what new elements do you hope to bring to your audience with future releases? I wanted to take the production to the next level for this song and all songs on the album. That includes recording in beautiful studios and working with the best! I also think my writing has gotten stronger. So I hope my music continues to get better and better with each new song and album! Instagram Artist Website
- Take A Ride With Lola Vain On The “Merry Go Round”
Lola Vain, a rock duo hailing from Phoenix, AZ, which consists of members Scott Hammons (vocals) and Brian Buzard (guitar) are back at it again, this time diving into the past to bring us a future classic with their latest release “Merry Go Round.” Their inspirations run deep as they harness the rich roots of classic rock legends such as Tom Petty and Cheap Trick to give an authentic southern flavour which adds a spicy flare to their already smoking barrel sound, which has already garnered over 50k Spotify plays. More than 134k YouTube plays on their most recent release, “Dirty Filthy Crazy.” For “Merry Go Round,” the boys have teamed up with fiery keyboardist Marine Lacoste (Uncle Kracker), hardcore drummer Ken Mary (Flotsam and Jetsam) and fully charged bassist Chris Catero (The Imperfected) to deliver a powerhouse of a record that is easygoing and fun while still grounding you with the harsh reality of walking down the sometimes one-way street of love. "Merry Go Round" is a song about being in the “friend zone.” I think most of us can relate to being in that situation at one time or another. Unrequited love—it’s a bitch, and then at the end of the story, the tables turn, and it’s too late. Life is like that a lot. Sometimes we don’t know what’s best for us, but the universe somehow figures it out for us." Turning a lemon of a situation and making lemonade is the name of the game on "Merry Go Round," which makes it an anthemic rock song for the ages that hits from all angles making it hard not to turn your head nodding into head-banging. "Merry Go Round" wastes no time, putting you right into the groove right from the start with a bend of the bass, giving a sweet accent to the sizzling guitar riff. A deep knocking drum makes way for Hammons crisp vocals, which carry you to a vast chorus layered by Marines chords, ultimately expressing the pinnacle shift from Heartbroken to heartbreaker, a moment the rock gods above would surely be proud of. Don't miss this latest release from Lola Vain on all major streaming platforms. Welcome back to Buzz Music Lola Vain. We had a fun time listening to “Merry Go Round.” How did you enjoy working with artists online versus in person? Brian Buzard: “We have settled into a groove regarding our workflow. Scott generates an idea at his place in Nashville, I work it up at my studio in Phoenix, and then we send the track to our collaborators in LA, Canada, Nashville, and Phoenix. Ken Mary (Flotsam and Jetsam) did drums, Chris Catero (The Imperfected) laid down bass, and Marine Lacoste (Uncle Kracker) added Hammond B3 and Mellotron. With today’s technology, you can work with other musicians from anywhere in the world. It’s pretty incredible. Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot of cool about sitting face-to-face with another artist and working on music, but sometimes that is just logistically impossible. When starting a song, what key components do you look for when finding inspiration from the classics? Brian Buzard: Mainly vibe and energy. How does this song make me feel? Scott and I draw much inspiration from the ’70s and 80’s rock and pop. For “Merry Go Round,” we drew from Tom Petty, Cheap Trick, and The Tubes. We were just talking about how much we love The Babys—such a great fucking band! Our tastes are similar, and that makes working on ideas flow better. Scott: I think it’s just embedded in our psyche—all of our influences come out naturally. We try to capture the magic in a bottle from thin air. The name “Lola Vain” is very unique; how did you come up with it? Brian Buzard: No rhyme, reason, or cool backstory exists. I believe Scott came up with it. It was the classic “we need to come up with a name for this band” scenario. List upon list of names—some of them naughty. Lola Vain had a cool ring to it. It’s as simple as that. Lola came from some computer software that Scott uses for his day job. He worked off that. If you had to describe the Lola Vain sound with three words, what would they be? Scott and Brian: Crank, It, Up! When can we expect another fun visual? And what's next for Lola Vain? Brian Buzard: We just released a lyric video for “Merry Go Round” with 10K views. We will continue releasing singles for now. We are also working on a collaboration with Tuk Smith (Tuk Smith and the Restless Hearts) and acclaimed songwriter Jonathon Edwards—it will be EPIC! Co-written by Saint Joshua and Adam Kaye of Bondax fame, "Love Game" is the last song written for EP3, representing the project perfectly. Saint Joshua explained that he wrote about his jaded view on dating and how we all feed into it. Soulful, rhythmic and cinematic are some words that describe the essence of "Love Game" At the core of "Love Game," Saint candidly expresses his disillusionment with dating and relationships. He sings about how we all feed into the "game" of love, even when we know it's not always genuine or fulfilling. The lyrics are raw and honest, capturing the complexity of modern romance in a way that's both relatable and painful. With its smooth and infectious beats, "Love Game" is a prime example of Saint Joshua's ability to seamlessly blend his voice into the instruments like melted chocolate, resulting in a smokey and captivating sound. "Love Game" is a testament to Saint Joshua's talent as a songwriter and performer. With its captivating sound and powerful message, the song will leave a lasting impression on listeners and cement Saint Joshua's status as a rising star in the music industry. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Saint Joshua! Blessings to you and the new drop, "Love Game," which is a beautiful and introspective track. Can you walk us through the creative process behind writing such a personal song? Thanks! I worked with Baz Kaye on this record. We shared our love for old-school soul music when we first met, so it felt natural to make this with him. Creatively, I’m always looking to find ways to be as honest as possible. I have a note on my phone with short thoughts I add sporadically (almost like a tweet but not on Twitter) and remember scrolling through it as I listened to the track and saw one I wrote about dating and built the song from there! The lyrics of Love Game reflect your jaded view on dating. Has writing this song and sharing your perspective on love and relationships been therapeutic for you? Ha! Yes, and for many of my friends telling me that I need to go to therapy. It’s funny because now, as I navigate through life, I hear certain songs of mine in my head that fit the scenario that I’m going through, which either means that I’m a) I’m writing the soundtrack to my life and b) I keep doing the same rubbish over and over again! Love Game is the final track on EP3, with its LIVE version being the first off the LIVE EP…..you've mentioned that it represents the project perfectly. Can you explain how Love Game ties together the themes and sounds of the EP? It was the final track I recorded for the EP, and it almost felt like a lightbulb moment when it was done. Each song on the EP is about some form of trouble or misalignment in dating, and ‘Love Game’ looks at it holistically and then throws it in the bin. It’s perfect (LOL). The release also comes with the 1st of 4 beautifully shot Live videos you just dropped. Can you tell us more about them and the idea behind them? I’ve had some of the songs from EP3 for a while, so I’ve performed them all around town! I’ve loved witnessing how the songs have evolved over time since the studio versions were recorded, especially the emotion that I perform the songs with, feeling different. So, I wanted to capture that and share it with my audience. I love every bit of performing live, right down to the imperfections. You draw inspiration from artists like Frank Ocean, Solange, and D'Angelo. How do these influences manifest in "Love Game," and what unique elements did you bring to the table to make the song your own? I love this question! I think it’s mainly in the storytelling, for sure. I’ve always gravitated to the way they would emote, whether it’s the pause after a line or the power (or subtly) in the song's delivery, so I think about that when writing and recording. I’m not sure what unique elements are. Still, I am sure that I write from my viewpoint (however jaded), particularly with vulnerability and admitting one’s faults in the track is something I like to think adds a unique element. I also think I’m comfortable writing a song that allows the listener to determine who the protagonist is in the story (for some reason, it’s not always me!). What's next for Saint Joshua after the release of your live EP and possible compilation album release in May? Are there any other projects or collaborations that you're working on that you can tell us about? I am always cooking up something! Yes, I have a project on the way this year. It’s too early to say anything, but I think people may be surprised by the next set of materials. I’m getting more excited as the tracklist comes together and the list of collaborators grows. For now, let’s enjoy the release of EP3 Live. I have the live version of "Even If We Don’t," which comes out March 8th and let me say this, it is my favourite song to perform. Instagram Facebook

Congratulations on capturing the summertime feeling on your latest release, “Summer Somewhere," a beautiful and emotional song that captures the essence of past summer memories. Can you tell us more about the personal experience that inspired you to write this song? Thank you! In October, I wrote "Summer Somewhere" with Bill DiLuigi and Kirsti Manna. This song was inspired by a past Summer romance that I had and how I would reminisce about those memories and hold onto them, knowing that it is summer somewhere in the world. I wrote this song from a vulnerable place to create a vivid scene, painting the story of a lost summer love that others could relate to. The instrumentation on "Summer Somewhere" perfectly complements your voice and adds to the overall nostalgia of the song. Can you talk about the process of creating the sound for this track? "Summer Somewhere" was recorded at Sound Stage Studios in Nashville. My producers, Ed O'Donnell and Billy Smiley brought in some of Nashville's best to create the emotional feel of this song. My vision was to create a sentimental sound that touches the listeners and brings them back to a time when they had a special someone in their life. I wanted a dreamy, ethereal feeling of walking alone on a cold winter beach, reminiscing about a summer romance. A distant piano plays a haunting melodic riff in the track that repeats throughout the song. And then adding ambient electric guitars helped us achieve the dreamy sound we sought. You have performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the country, including the legendary Bluebird Cafe. How has your live performance experience influenced how you approach songwriting and recording, and how does connecting with your fans through your music feel? Live performance is everything to me as an artist. I have performed at different writer's rounds, festivals, and events since I was twelve. I love the whole songwriting and recording process, but nothing compares to the feeling of playing my own songs to a live audience. Live performance is a way to directly connect with my audience and see how my songs touch them. The more I play my songs in front of people, the more inspired I get to try new things musically. Your voice has been compared to the likes of Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks. How do you balance paying homage to these iconic artists while staying true to your unique style and voice? I have a naturally raspy voice that is often compared to Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks. I love staying true to my distinctive tone and using it to create music that showcases my voice and helps people feel the emotion in my songs. Your upcoming releases are highly anticipated. Can you discuss any collaborations or special guests you have planned for future projects? I am looking forward to my future releases in 2023! I have been writing with incredible people here in Nashville and have a catalogue of fun, sassy, emotional, and touching songs. My next single, "Single Girls," is a fun one I wrote with Alex Pennington and Ed O'Donnell, which I plan on releasing in early April. Instagram Facebook

Praise is due for the release of your latest banger, "Jane Jetson,” which is incredibly raw and hard-hitting. Tell us more about what inspired you to write the song and how you developed the concept. Were there any particular life experiences or events that influenced the lyrics? Thanks so much for having me back and for your kind words! The chorus for "Jane Jetson" was freestyled in my car after a situation arose where I heard that someone was questioning one of the opportunities I achieved by working hard, which I was rather taken aback by. It just so happened I had recently found a few beats that I was vibing with. When I was freestyling over the track to get melodies and cadences in place - which is something I often do in my car - I blurted out, "The cheques in, they got, they got questions, I just took off call me Jane f****ing Jetson," and it HIT for me. I was capitalizing on that inspiration and the emotions running through me, and the rest was created in that same car session where I had my concept and weaved in my staple wordplay and unique flows. We usually get the best inspiration from moments of hardship. A huge shoutout to 613Tino for helping me bring this vision created in my car to life. "Jane Jetson" is a standout track in your discography, with its unique style and sound. Can you tell us more about how you strive to create music that is both innovative and accessible to a wide range of listeners? I'm so glad you notice the versatility of my sound. I have become more comfortable creating freely and not confining my style to what people want to hear from me. I know that certain sounds of mine have become more popular than others. However, with that being said, we're all human, and we have various emotions and narratives that we navigate through in life. For me, no one song will necessarily relate to two different people in the same way, which is something I adore about creating music. So presenting these various sounds to my audience in that they can pick and choose what suits them best at that time is something that I pride myself upon. Your vocals on "Jane Jetson" are compelling and soulful, with a sense of emotion and depth that brings the lyrics to life. Can you talk more about how you approach singing and rapping and how you strive to convey different emotions and moods through your voice? I think that genuinely feeling the music and believing what I'm saying helps me convey my message in a way that allows those emotions to shine through. Whether I'm manifesting or speaking on events that have transpired, knowing that my whole heart is in what I'm saying inspires me to bring it every time. Energy is so powerful, and I want the listener to feel the energy matching the particular record they press play on. "Jane Jetson" has some profound and witty lyrics. While writing the song, can you talk a bit about your mindset and emotional state? What did you hope to convey through the lyrics, and how do you think they relate to your life experiences? When I was writing "Jane Jetson," the mood I tapped into was, 'How can I show everyone who has doubted me that they're wrong?' I never do it for the people that stay on the sidelines judging, but to get in that headspace and come up with a track that so perfectly says, I'm going to keep getting paid, and then I'm going to bounce, it just makes me smile every time I hear it. I hope that people can feel empowered when they listen to this song. I want them to know that every opportunity they get or check they cash is one they've earned. People will always have something to say; sometimes, it's best to let your success speak for you. "Jane Jetson" is just one of many incredible tracks in your discography. Can you talk more about your overall artistic vision and how you hope to use your music to make an impact and connect with fans worldwide? Through all the themes I tap into, the overall vision is to make music that people feel empowered listening to. I want them to walk a little more confidently. Not feel the need to hush their voice when faced with uncomfortable situations. I want people to know they're dope, beautiful, and badass and that they can conquer anything they put their minds to. In a world filled with negativity all around us, I want to be that light in someone's life that's adding to the joy they experience. I will keep creating freely, and I encourage other artists to do so because it feels so damn good to be authentically you. Instagram Facebook

Wyatt Edmondson's latest single, "Shelter," is a beautifully crafted piece of music that will resonate with anyone who has experienced the power of love. Wyatt Edmondson's musical influences are evident in his work, and he pays tribute to artists like Bob Marley, John Mayer, and Bruce Springsteen. His love for music is evident in the energy he brings to his live performances, which have earned him a dedicated fanbase nationwide. Despite being diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa as a teenager, Edmondson has refused to let his degenerative eye condition slow him down. His determination and resilience are a testament to the power of music to inspire and uplift us, even in the face of adversity. “Shelter" is a song filled with a sense of vulnerability and intimacy that is relatable from the first note. Edmondson's voice perfectly sets the tone to the emotional depth of the song, and he delivers each line with a sense of rawness that is both compelling and moving. The lyrics are straight yet powerful, capturing what it means to love and be loved in return. One of the most impressive aspects of "Shelter" is the way in which Edmondson crafted the song. "Shelter" was recorded on a Tascam 144 4-track cassette tape recorder, giving it a distinctly warm vintage feel that is both charming and authentic. The production is stripped down to reveal a man, a guitar and the souls of both. This song is the third single from Edmondson's upcoming debut full album, "Made For The Road," which is set to be released on September 15, 2023. It is clear from the quality of "Shelter" that Edmondson is an artist who takes his craft seriously and is committed to making music with intention. "Shelter" is a beautifully warm-crafted song that will capture the hearts of music lovers everywhere. With its cozy atmosphere, thoughtful lyrics, and raw emotional power, it is a testament to the talent and dedication of Wyatt Edmondson and a preview of the exceptional music to come on his debut album "Made For The Road." Welcome to BuzzMusic, Wyatt Edmondson, and congratulations on your latest release. We felt cozy while listening to "Shelter," a fan favourite at your live shows. How does it feel to have it finally recorded and released as a single? It feels great! I wrote the song for my sweetheart, and it has been on repeat in our living room since I first got the master back from Shawn Byrne. This song seems to connect with folks at the live shows. I think it’s the lyrics. They paint a nice picture and are just as honest as possible. This one’s truly from the heart. With "Shelter" being the third single leading up to your debut album, can you give us hints about what to expect from the upcoming release? Well, all three songs I’ve released so far have been pretty sparse production-wise, with just a few instruments on each track. In fact, “Shelter” is just 2 guitars and my lead vocal. You can expect more of this on the album, but there are also a few songs with much more going on in them than just a few basic tracks, and I’m excited to share those, too. As someone who draws inspiration from artists like Bob Marley and Bruce Springsteen, how do you incorporate their influence into a song like "Shelter?" I’m always inspired by my muses like Bob and Bruce, but I’m unsure how much of their influence can be heard in this song. Dave Matthews is another of my musical heroes, and I feel like you can hear some of his influence on this tune, especially if you consider songs like “I’ll Back You Up.” Lyrically, though, maybe there’s some Marley influence, as he’s always singing about sensory experiences like the sun, the rain, etc. With Bruce, I think maybe you can hear his influence on my vocal approach throughout the record. In studying his music over the years, I’ve developed a similar raspy, guttural quality in my voice that he’s so famous for presenting. But, overall, I do think this song is a bit too tender-hearted compared to The Boss. "Shelter" is a song that celebrates the strength and vulnerability of love. Can you tell us about a personal experience that inspired the song and how it influenced your songwriting process? I wrote this song for my girlfriend and gave it to her as a Valentine’s Day present. So the way she makes me feel is really what inspired the song. I was in some bad relationships before her, and none that lasted very long. When I first met her, I felt like a long-term relationship was unlikely for me, but now we’re coming up on 3 years together. We’ve had our trials, but just like it says in the bridge, “there’s nothing our love won’t stop. We built this house on a rock”. That last line is a Bible reference to Matthew 7 because I feel like love is more than just words. It’s putting those words into practice and overcoming things together as a team. What are your long-term goals for your music career? Do you have any specific milestones or achievements that you are working towards? I like to dream big. I want what most of us want, the big time. I’d love to be a driving force in Americana/Alt-Country music. I want to play on the big stages with thousands of fans. I want to have my music heard by millions across the globe. I think it’s important to have these lofty goals, but I also have a few more specific, short-term goals. Mainly, I want to find support in a solid team that can help push my career to the next level. I’m working hard to find the right management, publisher, and agent. I know I would do very well serving as a support act for a bigger artist, so this is something I’m really trying to manifest while also going out on the road by myself and building a grassroots fan base.
