  • R&B Trio Half Mile Home Debut Music Video, “Closet”

When's the last time you experienced a good quality R&B trio? If you're trying to figure it out, then it has been too long. Alas, Half Mile Home, Ohio's popular music group, is here to bring their authentic flair with a new music video release. Consisting of members Dave Felder, Todd Burton, and Darryl Brownlee, Half Mile Home is an R&B-inspired music group that focuses on spreading their faith through art. Drawing on personal life experiences and challenges, Half Mile Home can connect with their listeners on a level of depth that they hope ultimately works to inspire their audience in any way possible. Half Mile Home are no strangers to the Gospel Billboard charts, and with their hope of continuing this trend, they have released yet another music video accompanying one of their faith-based songs. The latest debut, "Closet," hosts many pivotal understandings of faith that the group hold close to themselves by focusing on the strength they extract from their sense of faith. Nevertheless, the production is pretty typical of your contemporary R&B scene, which adds a really nice juxtaposition between content and production itself. The music video for "Closet" begins with a captivating storyline that we personally found ourselves hooked on from the start. Visuals in this video tend to go back and forth between close-ups of the group and the scene of the storyline the group is trying to convey. The video makes use of haptics that were effortlessly embedded into the varying shots, making each beat feel more vigorous. The vibes are overall quite catchy with this particular track of theirs. We feel like cruising with the volume on high, mindlessly taking in everything that passes us by. Here is where the group did an exceptional job at meshing together their faith and more modern styles of the R&B scene today. The group further goes on to prove that "Closet" was a platform to conceptualize their own faith amidst personal experiences and struggles. You can feel the passion emulating from their voices and the video itself, which is why it's safe to say that "Closet" is one experience R&B listeners should most definitely check out. Half Mile Home did not fail to inspire with their release of "Closet." Check out the single and its accompanying music video today, available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome, Half Mile Home! Your recent song, "Closet," seemed to have quite the integral message embedded within its lyricism. Can you elaborate on the main effect you were hoping to impart to your audience with the overall takeaways in the song? "Closet" was birth with the intent to alert all mankind that the only way you’ll see a change in your current situation is going to your prayer Closet” Mathew 6:6.\ As a music group that has to work collectively to create such a flavourful and embellished sound, how would you describe the group's strategy for working effectively with one another to ensure the creative ends of each artist get blended in harmony? We vibe really well in the studio. Todd Burton, Aka Ty Traxx, produce all of our music as Dave Felder, AKA “Ready Writa,” flows with the pen. Then we add lear vocalist Deaken to the mix along with Lead vocalist Dave & that’s the sound of a Half Mile Home record. He’s also the CEO of our label Traxx Off Da Heezy, distributed by Empire. "Closet" has strong ties to the group's relationship with religion. Can you delve deeper into this for readers and describe each group member's personal connection to the song? Hello, I’m Todd Burton & This song is personal to me because I lost a child due to gun violence, & I’m often reminded that when I need strength, I must go to my prayer closet. When I’m weak GOD makes me strong. I couldn’t find a way to come out of that depressed state after my son was killed, But to GOD be the Glory I continued to hold on to the word of GOD & obeyed my scriptures Mathew 6:6. What inspired the name for this recent song release from the group? Did "Closet" have any particular significance for any of you? The name Closet was short for Prayer Closet. & yes did have a significant meaning: being able to enter that secret place knowing where your breakthrough will come. What's next for you? Releasing The Prayer Closet Trilogy. Also releasing a movie this fall Starring Omar Gooding - Melvin Jackson Jr. of the Wire & Jessica Quintero & of course, Half Mile Home. Instagram Facebook

  • Sabres Unleash Their Bone-Chilling Debut Single, “Fold”

We're thrilled to introduce you to the Portsmouth, UK boys and blazing rock duo Sabres with their highly-anticipated debut single, "Fold." With just one stellar single under their belt, we can already tell that the future is bright for Sabres. Comprised of Sam Cutbush and Dominic Taylor, Sabres' sound draws influences from garage, punk, stoner, and desert rock, not to mention the Portsmouth-hailing band Royal Blood. Angst is nothing to the rock genre, but Sabres' personal themes take those sensations to new heights, discussing matters like corruption and negligence of a Johnson-led government, tabloid propaganda, mental health struggles, and all of its impacts on the male psyche. Listeners can hear Sabres come to life in their blistering debut single, "Fold," a punchy garage and hard rock track that plays like a car crash during a death march. Hitting play on the heavy-hitter, "Fold," we're met with faded drums and a piercing guitar that slowly makes its way to the foreground. Before we know it, Sabres blast off into the abyss of gripping rock n' roll through tight, rhythmic breakdowns, face-melting guitar riffs, and an overall tenacious attitude that's hard to ignore. With few lyrics, Sabres gets their point across very quickly. While singing of someone who lets a relationship go rather easily in search of something better and fresher, they smash our speakers with bold and cathartic rock instrumentals that feel like holding the middle finger to those who've wronged us. The duo's cut-throat outro is another invigorating experience that feeds the soul with all the character and might of modern hard rock. Someone, did you dirty? Unleash your anguish with a bone-chilling thriller of a single like Sabres' debut, "Fold," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Sabres. Congratulations on releasing your exhilarating and bold debut single, "Fold." What inspired the creation of this sweltering and expressive single? Thanks, we've been itching to unleash our sound on the world. It feels like arriving as a real band after only starting up late last year. We knew we needed something that says it's tired of knocking on the door and it's coming in by force if it has to. Fold plays out a little like that. Lyrically, it's a breakup song, and like some soon-to-be ex-partners that "don't talk much," it doesn't have a lot to say; in an embittered relationship on its deathbed, maybe you don't want to talk, maybe you've nothing left to say or there's nothing that needs saying anymore. Perhaps closure isn't all that. Maybe you'll never have it. What you have is the emotions the situation makes you feel; you may have mood swings, or a bit of a DABDA episode (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance), maybe Fold is that kind of a ride, and it's a ride that's different for everyone. Why did you want "Fold" to be your band's first official release? How does it set the tone for what's to follow? "Fold" felt right as a debut release because it perhaps contains a little of everything we felt Sabres is musically (for now) and can promise in the next few singles. The song isn't concept-heavy, but we think it expresses a rich scope of musicality and energy that is dynamic, colorful, and dances between melancholy and explosivity. If we had to discuss any real meaning and significance as a debut, perhaps it serves as a primer of sorts; beginning from a place of loss and anger, from which you'd think the only way is up until you realize life can take you so much lower, for a host of reasons. Or perhaps, it's all just a spiral of malignant overthinking. Hard to say what's worse. Could you describe your band's creative process when developing "Fold?" What is your creative formula? "Fold" began as one of our first jams when Sabres was still in its creative infancy, with no roadmap. Sam had what was like an incomplete skeleton recorded on his phone and set to work in the practice room. It just kinda germinated and developed organically. That's how most of our music takes shape; we have years of experience gigging, jamming, and recording together as a rhythm section primarily, and this really informs what we do. Structure, vocals, and lyrics all come later, like starting with a piece of solid lumber and, well, making it up as you go along. Often the lyrics are written on the fly, sometimes already written, and then given to music they gel with. Not all of our songs are conceptual, but when they are, it's because the energy or the mood of the song just brings that out of us. We've shit on our minds that we want to say about emotions, politics, mental health, society, masculinity, and mortality, and that'll emerge with songs we've recorded that we'll release in the coming months and into 2023. What was your goal when creating and releasing "Fold?" How does it help new listeners get to know who you are and the music you create? As a brand new band, the main goal is to grab the attention of anyone we can. We're a performing band. We want to play for crowds far and wide and make a name for ourselves in the world. We want to give you earworms and see you at a show losing your shit. Not much more than that, really. It's what gets us out of bed. What's next for you? Our next single is out on August 11 on Mayfield Records and perhaps takes the pure moroseness of Fold and assaults it with a heavy dose of toxic positivity. Nobody likes that, but you'll like the song. As for live shows, we're back at the Icebreaker festival on Saturday 9 July. Icebreaker is Portsmouth's premiere music festival and is always an absolute feast of unsigned and independent music that makes us glad to be Pompey folk. Really looking forward to it. • Lindsay Kaye Has Something To Say In “Dear Lord”

From Virginia to California, singer-songwriter and expressive recording artist Lindsay Kaye throws her hands to the powers above with her latest single, "Dear Lord." Lindsay Kaye knew from age five that performing was in her blood. The triple-threat always found something magical about being on stage, leading her to venture out west to chase her dreams. Influenced by Taylor Swift and Julia Michaels, Lindsay Kaye strives to leave the same connected and relatable impact on her audience as her two influences. She brings us into an honest and inspirational song of prayer with her latest single, "Dear Lord," that's quite literally music to the ears. This single expands on life's peaks and valleys, with emphasis on the valleys. Kaye touches on keeping faith in the Creator above and knowing that he is the light at the end of every tunnel. Elaborating on "Dear Lord," the experience begins with a delicate piano melody that rains down from above. Lindsay Kaye wastes no time making this track personal and emotional by apologizing right off the bat through gentle and serene harmonies. Moving into her verse, she pleads to God to take away her pain and help her see-through life's dark moments. As we continue through this gentle and emotional piece, we're met with the addition of cinematic and chilling background strings for a pillow of serenity and comfort. Lindsay Kaye's vocal harmonies are so bright and refreshing, making it an incredibly wholesome listening experience that reminds us to keep faith when we're down and out. Bow your head and reflect on the powers that keep us sane with Lindsay Kaye's newest single, "Dear Lord," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Lindsay Kaye. We genuinely appreciate such a hopeful and wholesome single like "Dear Lord." What inspired you to create this vulnerable and emotional song of prayer? I was inspired to write this song after reading When a Woman Discovers Her Dream by Cindi McMenamin. I felt called to write and sing a song for God. What was your songwriting process like for "Dear Lord?" Was it easy for you to write such personal and intimate lyrics? I felt inclined to use my personal prayers as inspiration for this single. It felt really natural to sing out my prayers. Why did you choose to keep the instrumentals for "Dear Lord" so organic and cinematic? Do you usually create piano-centered and string-heavy instrumentals like these? This was my first time creating a piano-centered piece with strings. My inspiration came from the song “You Say” by Lauren Daigle. What impact do you hope "Dear Lord" has on your audience? I hope this song will help my listeners feel hopeful if they’re going through a hard or dark time. I hope it reminds them that God is always there and will work things out for their good. What's next for you? I’m currently recording another single that I hope to release by the end of the summer. Instagram Artist Website

  • Ron Santee Is On The “Cold Blooded Highway,” To Nowhere

From Asbury Park to Los Angeles, country-rock/Americana recording artist and singer-songwriter Ron Santee takes us on a trip down the "Cold Blooded Highway" in his latest music video. Ron Santee previously fronted the NYC indie rock outfit, The Battery Electric, which toured with acts like Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age, King Khan & BBQ Show, and Detroit Cobras. He now operates in the Joshua Tree desert with his own studio, Desert Dog Studios. The rocksteady recording artist recently released his sophomore album, 'Cold Blooded Highway,' along with a music video for the title track. The entire album sounds like a soundtrack from a Tarantino film, and the title track is no exception. The album's concept surrounds "a struggling artist navigating his way through dark times," says Santee. Expanding on the music video for "Cold Blooded Highway," the scene begins with Ron Santee gazing into the desert abyss. As he wakes up on his school bus home, Santee picks up his guitar and heads outdoors. A certain Grim Reaper character is haunting his every move, perhaps the real force behind why that highway is so cold-blooded. Throughout the video, we see Santee wandering down the empty highway where cars are few and far between. With his sunglasses on and guitar in hand, Santee just misses a blow from the Grim Reaper, who takes a tumble down a ditch, accepting his defeat. But one thing stands, Ron Santee is still trekking through this "Cold Blooded Highway" to nowhere. Experience the trials and tribulations of struggling artists and their long, tedious journeys with Ron Santee's new music video for "Cold Blooded Highway," now available on YouTube. Find his new album of the same name on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Ron Santee. We enjoyed the movie-like approach you've taken with the music video for your new single, "Cold Blooded Highway." What inspired the song itself? Does the highway represent your journey as an artist? First off, thanks so much for having me. I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I have been waiting for us to have a romantic rendezvous…Anyways..last summer, I was camping on the bank of the Kern River, which is In Sequoia national park and near Bakersfield, strumming my guitar and watching the sunrise one morning when Cold Blooded Highway just came to me. I always loved the term “sky songs”, Bob Dylan and Townes Van Zandt kinda coined it to describe mystically inspired tunes that fall from the sky and land in your lap…The song is about coming to terms with the need to be cold-blooded sometimes in the name of survival. I like leaving space for listeners to interpret their own meanings, but to me, the highway represents that chronic on-the-road dilemma of wanting to return home while still yearning to hit the back roads to unknown destinations. How would you describe your music to new fans? My sound is as eclectic as my tastes. I experiment with fusing together all the different styles and qualities that most inspire me. My first solo record, “Wildfire Heart”, was a bit harder and louder, weaving in elements of psych-rock, Country, Reggae, and 60’s garage rock. My latest record, “Cold Blooded Highway,” dives deeper into Americana/Country music, arguably inspired by the stoic Joshua Tree landscape I now call home. “Just Ask Me Why” and “Dark Road” showcase my homage and undying love for classic Jamaican music. As a solo artist, I feel I’m afforded more freedom of experimentation and self-realization to dive into any style of music I feel like making. Who directed it, and have you worked with this person before? Did anything unforeseen happen during the creation? Does the Grim Reaper-type character in the music video hold any significance for you? I developed the narrative with my good friend and side project collaborator, Stephen LaMarche, who also shot the video. The video is our ode to Joshua Tree, and we had a ton of fun shooting it, driving around the Mojave Desert, and capturing the harsh expanse of its landscape. The Grim Reaper, hot on my trail, and cheating death pretty much sums up the last two years, as I’m sure many could relate. Can you tell us more about your sophomore album, Cold Blooded Highway, and what listeners should expect? What does the album mean to you? “Cold Blooded Highway" is the second album I fully recorded and produced on my own. Listeners can expect a fresh mix of Rock, Country/Americana, and authentic Reggae. My great friend and drummer, Robin Diaz, contributed to 3 tracks. The dude has played with everyone from Candlebox to Ozzy.. fucking come on!!! The albums got something for everyone and keep you guessing. “Cold Blooded Highway” represents the last year of my life, the highs, the lows, and the questionable…..What I love about being a musician is recording these stories and releasing my musical babies to the world for them to outlive me. I think that’s beautiful, and it’s truly the only thing I want to do with my life. Are there plans for live shows / touring for the new record? Absolutely, I’ll be playing throughout Joshua Tree and Southern California all summer. In September/October, I’m playing some shows in my hometown Asbury Park, NJ, and a few dates in New York City. I’m really looking forward to getting back on the road and booking a more comprehensive tour. In the meantime, I will be making new music every day and also wondering if a band like Buck Owens and The Buckaroos, and The Misfits could ever co-exist in a world that is so judgemental… Instagram

  • Michaela Slinger Asks For Some Clarity, “Just This Once”

Hailing from Vancouver, BC, singer-songwriter and alternative-pop recording artist Michaela Slinger yearn to dive deeper into a relationship in her new heartfelt single, "Just This Once." The up-and-coming recording artist makes tunes that dance along the intersection of pop, alternative, and singer-songwriter. Her stop-you-dead vocals and poetic observations about relatable life themes never fail to intrigue listeners. Slinger firmly believes that excellent songs are relatable, precisely what she brings to the table with each release. Now, Michaela Slinger continues to turn heads with her latest compelling single, "Just This Once." Produced and co-written by Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen, Simple Plan, Tyler Shaw), the lush production paired with Slinger's airy vocals offers a serene listening experience like no other. Slinger says the song was "born out of frustration," adding that she and her partner were "talking around issues rather than getting to the heart of it." The new single looks at the resentment that builds when these issues are left unattended for too long. "Just This Once" brightly kicks off with dreamy and colorful keyboard melodies that flow into the gentle first verse. As Michaela Slinger begins vocalizing her emotions in this difficult situation, the sonics start to expand with a dense bass line, bright synths, and feel-good drum arrangements. Michaela Slinger's vocals deliver the essence of modern pop; they're emotional, gripping, and will have you looking for the repeat button. It helps that her lyrics are wildly relatable, singing of yearning for someone to spill their guts and open up "Just This Once." We adore the contrast between her emotional vocals and the exciting pop sonics; it's a true treat for the ears. Get to the root of the issue with help from Michaela Slinger's dreamy new single, "Just This Once," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Michaela Slinger. What a dreamy and relatable experience you've provided with your new single, "Just This Once." During what moments of your relationship did you feel compelled to create this piece? Thanks for the kind words! The spark for this song happened about a year into the pandemic. For me, it put this new pressure on boundaries in my relationship that hadn’t been there before—we had to overcommunicate so much. At this point, I felt like we weren’t straight up with each other about what we needed. I always hate leaving things unspoken because that can so quickly morph into resentment. At that point in COVID, I think everyone was kind of exploding and re-evaluating their life, and I totally had that hunger for complete honesty. I thought, “If we actually don’t know how tomorrow will look, you might as well get everything out of the shadows and into the light.” What was it like working alongside producer and songwriter Ryan Stewart for "Just This Once?” How did he help execute your ideas and visions? Ryan is amazing. We wrote ‘Just This Once’ on the first day we ever met. You never really know what you’re walking into when you go to a songwriting session, and I find that energy quite exciting. We each shared a couple of ideas with each other, and then we decided to try to write something basically from scratch—all we had was that affected keyboard loop you hear at the start of the song. It flowed from there. Ryan’s a great collaborator because I think we share the same core value in the writing room: egos need to be left at the door, and all choices should be in the service of making the best song and telling the best story. Why did you choose to give "Just This Once" a lighthearted, feel-good tone, even though your lyrics are rather emotional? Great question! I should start by saying that music and lyrics usually just evolve in the writing room—I didn’t come into this planning to write intense lyrics and pair them with an upbeat “bop” sound. But what I think works so well is that the song actually sounds like the freedom and release I was craving at the time. It’s as though the lyrics are pleading for it, and the song represents what I want. What was the most rewarding part about creating "Just This Once"? What did you take away from the entire process? Honestly, it was just fun and easy, and it felt special right from the first demo. I think the most rewarding thing has just been feeling so proud of it for over a year and knowing that it represents the beginning of a new era of sound for me working with Ryan. What's next for you? This is the first single off of my sophomore EP, which will be coming out in spring 2023! I’m so excited about this project. I’m also playing several festivals across BC (my home province) this summer and gearing up to plan some more extensive touring in the fall and spring. Instagram Facebook

  • Sink Right In To Teather’s New Release, “Sinking”

Electronic singer-songwriter Teather has recently released her newest single, “Sinking,” an ethereal track that is easy to get lost in. Based in Seattle, WA, Teather started making music over the last couple of years, inspired by lockdown and the intense emotions she was feeling at the time. Teather does it all by writing and producing all of her music and will leave a lasting impact on those who listen. Teather’s new song “Sinking” can only be described as angelic, a transport to a new reality. With spirited and dynamic production, Teather’s vibe is unlike any other. “Sinking” starts off slow and tender, the electronic sounds wading you through the lyrics before the beat kicks in. It feels like you are running through a wide-open field, just following where her voice takes you. The sound gains a spunky and vibrant feel for the rest of the song, but still with those breezy, flowing vocals Teather provides. Her free-spirited personality is apparent in the type of music she creates, especially in “Sinking,” where her melodies flow perfectly with the instrumentation. Teather sings about sinking into someone and getting lost in another person. Singing “I’ll stay here till death comes,” the listener can fall into the emotions she is so openly displaying. By the time “Sinking” comes to a close, you are left feeling rejuvenated and accessible, as well as a deeper connection to Teather and her lyrics. Teather does not do anything halfway, so don’t miss “Sinking,” available now on all streaming platforms. It is an honor to have you on BuzzMusic, Teather. What sparked you to create this new single, “Sinking”? What does this song mean to you? “Sinking” was the culmination of many love songs I had been writing, conveying how I felt for someone. There were many attempts before, but this song was the one I finally felt I’d packaged up my feelings and presented them perfectly. The song is about devotion and being with someone who’s capable of loving and supporting a sometimes-turbulent existence. I’ve cried while working on it several times. It’s one of a few of my songs that moves me every time I listen to it. And that makes me excited to share it with people. How has your experience been with recording and producing your own songs? Did you have any musical experience before you started making your music in 2020? Producing my own music is the thing that made music click for me. I grew up singing and helping my dad write songs growing up, but I didn’t play any instruments, so producing music was my first exposure to being able to write on my own. I love to work alone and be able to fully realize the idea of a song that’s in my head, and I find that easiest if I’m also writing, performing, and producing it. I’m also a bit controlling, so I like not having to compromise my idea. It’s a double-edged sword, though, because you never really know if what you’re doing will translate to other people. For those listening to your music for the first time, what do you hope they take away from “Sinking?" I hope it makes people feel something. That’s always the end goal. I also love that people listening are inherently going to get this view of me and all the things that shaped that song – emotionally and artistically. That is, listening to the song, they will hear little parts that I agonized over, parts that made me excited, and little details I left in for those who like to pay lots of attention. It’s a super personal song, so I just hope people enjoy getting to peer into someone’s mind like that. Who are your favorite artists that inspire you? How would you say your music is different from other types of music you listen to? I listen to a lot of club music through DJ mixes both live and at home. My love for electronic and dance music has influenced my music and how I go about making it. I always want people to be able to turn it on and dance, or I want to put them in a bit of a trance like any good rave or club show will. I also love a good pop song with sick electronic production a la artists like Grimes, Sega Bodega, Magdalena Bay, and FKA Twigs. I don’t think much about how my music sounds. Since I’m with it all the time, I never really have a good idea – I’ll show it to someone and say I’m working on a country song or whatever and they will not get that influence at all. But I love artists that work pretty much alone or with a group of select collaborators because I think you get access to such a personal reflection of a time and feeling, and I think my music achieves that. So, I guess maybe I’m trying at the same goal as a lot of the stuff I listen to, lol. What's next for you? A few more single releases, maybe another EP, I’m not sure. I’m taking some time right now to share a few singles so I can really go into the visuals and make a bit of a world around each song. Music videos and visualizers are my favorite art form right now, and I get so excited to share my music in that way. Instagram TikTok

Welcome to BuzzMusic, Khadi Lee. Your new music video for "FriendZone" is hands down one of the most relatable visual experiences we've seen this year. What inspired the vulnerable and passionate song itself? Thanks for having me again, I’m honestly thrilled that the relatability of the “FriendZone” music video shines through because I wanted that more than anything else for this track. “FriendZone” is such a raw and honest place that we all find ourselves in sometimes that I felt it would be cool to express/articulate those emotions. Having that vibey friendship connection while also sharing an attraction or intimate relationship can be electric and dangerous. What was it like working with director Jake Johnston for the "FriendZone" music video? How did he make the process easier and more enjoyable for you? Working on the "Friendzone" music video was honestly my first time putting on the director's hat. I think in writing and creating this track, the lyrics painted such a vivid picture for me that I already had the storyline down. My manager definitely helped insinuate the storylines of friendship to lover, adding that woman’s touch. Working with Jake was so amazing because, in hearing the story, he was able to pick some of the most beautiful locations to paint this picture. On top of that, his color grading was just outstanding. Having all three heads on set definitely allowed us to bring our best for this shoot. How did you manage to make the music video for "FriendZone" feel so intimate and personal? Was it easy for you to be so vulnerable when shooting your scenes? It’s so crazy because I think it was the chemistry of the entire team that allowed this to gel so well. A lot of the time, we were just laughing and joking around. The love interest, aka my on-screen boo, and I really embraced talking to one another and trying to get to know things about each other helping us break the ice. I think that made it easier for us to become more and more comfortable as the shoot went on, and by the end of the video, it was almost like I was stuck in character. What was your favorite part about creating the music video for "FriendZone?" Which experiences did you appreciate the most? I think my favorite part about shooting the “FriendZone” music video is the fact that we shot some scenes in a particular area that almost got us in trouble. I think that really set the tone for us as a team to see how we all had each other‘s back, and we knew that we wanted to get to an end goal of making this video as dope as possible. We collectively had to come up with ways to get the content that we needed while blending in so that we wouldn’t draw too much attention Facebook Twitter

  • Lady Raw Shows Us What She’s Got In, “Say So Reloaded”

Georgia-born Ra’Seanda Brooks, better known by her pseudonym of Lady Raw, has proven to be just that “RAW.” Her latest single, "Say So Reloaded," featuring Cal Wayne & Stunna Bam, brings us a top-notch rap song we've all been waiting for. She is not only a female rap artist but also a songwriter, engineer, and producer. Being given the stage name of Lady Raw depicts her inner struggle to become one of the greatest female rap artists. The RAW in her stage name represents every REAL ASPIRING WOMAN. By age 10, she displayed a deep passion for writing poetry and learned how to rhyme words. She continued by releasing a single entitled “Swap” featuring Hip-hop artist BowWow and a single through her label Bentley entitled “Bank” featuring Hip-hop Artist Soulja Boy. Lady Raw has now released “Say So Reloaded,” featuring artists Cal Wayne and Stunna Bam, both from Houston, Texas. "Say So Reloaded" brings an old-school raw vibe that has us all jamming. This club hit will have all of us dancing while Lady Raw spits the rawest bars alongside her colleagues Cal and Stunna. And the way she formulates her rhyme speech has us in ore; she continues to deliver catchy tones with less harsh terms and more raw, authentic vibes. As "Say So Reloaded" is introduced to us, it enters with an energetic instrumental with trap elements; Lady Raw starts by saying, "They'll move when I say so," which is the most epic intro to the next rap hit single! Lady Raw's verse starts, and our ears are delighted to hear her voice. She mixes the rap flow with her singing voice, talking about her lifestyle and not associating herself with people who pretend. Her catchy chorus and eclectic vocals bring a new feeling to the record. As we proceed, Lady Raw mentions how she wants to work hard in lyrics like "All I ever wanna do is grind hard" and how not having much time has people asking questions. Then, in another line, she say's, "Drip game on fleek from my head to my feet," and we already know she means it. At this point, the energy rises like fire as Cal and Stunna gift us hard rap bars, and they start going back and forth with Lady Raw like the old-school rap we grew up listening to. As we end, we receive an outro worth dancing to, and with the chorus taking us out, we can genuinely see why she chose the name Lady Raw. We received endless energy and vibes from "Say So Reloaded" with equal force from all the artists. We can expect more from Lady Raw. In fact, she's just getting started. Let's grasp the vibes with Lady Raw's new hit single "Say So Reloaded" featuring Cal Wayne and Stunna Bam, available on all digital streaming platforms now. Welcome to BuzzMusic Lady Raw. We are so excited to have you join us today. We love "Say So Reloaded" please tell us how this record came about and how you connected with the Cal and Stunna to complete it? The original version of Say So came about from a connection made between myself and my producer Omerta out of Paris, France. Say So Reloaded was born from a mere conversation between my uncle in Houston, Texas, and my dad. My uncle felt that the collaboration would be electric, so the rest is history. Being a rapper requires a skill you indeed have. What do you do to keep your vocabulary fresh and your lyrics unique? I enhance my skills by writing one song daily. To keep my vocabulary fresh, I study the dictionary, I stay up on the latest news and hottest topics. There is a tremendous amount of energy we feel when we listen to "Say So Reloaded," tell us how you channel that energy and what helps you get in the zone? The beat itself was high energy, so I had no other choice but to come hard or go home. Being a female rapper in a male-dominated industry, what is one thing you'd like to change now or in the future for rappers like you and the ones to come? It is very hard being a successful female rap artist in a male-dominated industry. We have to work 100 times harder just to get our feet in the door. What I want to change is how women in the industry are viewed. We work just as hard, and we deserve a seat at the table. I want to be recognized for my gift of music and what I bring to the industry. If I could change anything, it would be the dynamics of the business. I, too, deserve a seat at the table. What's next for you? In the next upcoming weeks, I will be dropping my new single, “My Opponent,” produced by my 11-year-old son “ JayParisOntheTrac.”. In August, I will be shooting the Say So Reloaded video in Houston, Texas. In September, my EP “Black Heart” will be released. Instagram

Camila Knight's powerful vocals, paired with the song's lush and chilling production, will definitely help new listeners understand the empowering and relatable themes she's all about. Embrace the future with open arms and optimism with help from Camila Knight's empowering, relatable, and dynamic debut EP, 'Uplifted,' now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome back to BuzzMusic, CamilaKnight. We love the natural emotion and optimism you've placed into your debut EP, 'Uplifted.' What inspired this passionate and positive project? Thank you for having me. I appreciate your kind words! This EP closes one chapter and opens up a new one. I started releasing music in 2020, and that's when I put out my debut single "Angels." As this EP encompasses two years, there wasn't just one single source of inspiration for this project. I wrote most of the songs featured on the EP during lockdown 1.0, trying to find some positivity within me and raise the spirits of my beloved ones. I always wanted my songs to transmit some uplifting message. Still, on the EP, you can find songs like "Familiar Places" and "In My Mind," the first one talking about letting go and healing after a breakup, and the second one tackles inner struggle and a mental turmoil. But both of them come with a feeling of solace and that if you're going through a rough patch, you're not alone there. I've always felt that music can have a healing effect, and that's what I intend to convey with my music. Did you work alongside any songwriters, producers, or musicians when creating 'Uplifted?" Who helped bring the project to life? I feel truly blessed to have collaborated with wonderfully gifted people on this EP. My bandmates are absolute legends: Freddy Lane on the bass, Jorge Gándara on the drums, Alejandro Nin González on the guitars (Angels, Home, In My Mind), and Jon Evans (Familiar Places). Production by Sam Ray (Angels, Home), Chris Campbell (In My Mind), and Rich Emery (Brave, Familiar Places). Mix and Mastered by Philip Marsden (Angels, Home, In My Mind) and Rich Emery (Brave, Familiar Places). "Uplifted" wouldn't sound the same without them. Is there a song on 'Uplifted' that's the most personal to you? Why does that song stand out the most to you? My debut single, "Angels," is definitely the most personal track on the EP. It was inspired by a dream where our angels fell from the sky without the wings to fly. We've fallen as we forgot who we really are, trapped in a dream of life. "Angels" refer to us as dreamers waking up at last. It's an anthem of freedom. In this song, my outlook on life comes through. It's the first song I felt that I wanted to share with the world, and it led to the creation of the ‘angelic community.’ The melody of this song, together with the wonderful production behind it and that guitar solo, somehow stirs the soul. How does the 'Uplifted' EP capture who you are and what you stand for? How can new listeners get to know you better through this project? The songs on this EP are a reflection of what I believe in. All of them refer to matters that are close to my heart. They talk about freedom, living according to your own rules, mental health, self-assurance, letting go, and having a healthy relationship with yourself. Basically, you can get to know me better just by listening to my music and lyrics. I always bring to my songs messages that feel urgent or important to me and seem to be especially valid in the current times. In my music, lyrics are particularly significant, and they are never random or meaningless. Many times when I start writing a song, lyrics come first and are the core of the song. The songs on the EP capture both my most vulnerable moments, my fragile side, and the bravest "get-up-and-go" moments. I love combining delicate intimate arrangements with powerful groovy basslines and drumbeats, which reflects those two contrasting emotional states and enhances the meaning behind the lyrics even more. What do you hope the listener experiences with 'Uplifted?' What did you want them to think and feel after listening? ‘Uplifted’ is a collection of moments of joy, melancholy, confusion, restlessness, and happiness. I hope that after listening to the EP, you will feel inspired, encouraged, energized, and free. I would like my music to be a safe space where you feel understood, welcome, and above all, where you feel truly at home. Instagram Twitter
