After this song was pitched to Sam, she reached out to me and asked to collaborate! We work under the same label, and I was extremely excited to work with her for the first time! I put together the vocal arrangements, and we recorded with Jerry Ramos at Mercury Recording Studio in New Jersey. It was a blast! Would you say inspirational songs like "I'll Be Love" is a common theme within your music? Do you usually write songs in hopes of leaving listeners motivated and feeling better than before? Speaking on behalf of Sam and I, 100% yes! This was the main reason I was so excited when she asked me to collaborate. We both strive to put out music that people feel inspired and moved listening to. What do you hope listeners take away from "I'll Be Love"? What do you want them to pick up on for themselves? Our hope is for listeners to be reminded of the people in their own personal life that serve as “the light at the end of the tunnel.” Overall, to feel a sense of love from individuals in your life when you least expect it and that you’re never alone. What's next for you? Sam and I are working on creating a music video for this song, which we are very excited about! - A Unique Voice You Won't Forget: Giselle Releases Her Powerful New Single "I D W D"
Giselle, a Los Angeles singer-songwriter, has had a powerful connection to music since she was born. She's been singing since she was four years old and has been playing piano since she was five, blossoming her love and drive for music. At 26, Giselle sings, writes, and plays the piano, violin, drums, and guitar. She loves creating music to express herself and connect with her fans and supporters. With such a unique and unforgettable voice, she brings us toward her latest release titled, "I D W D." Bringing out the best in herself for this record, Giselle works her magic once again to prove why she was made for this. "I D W D" doesn't conform to the norm as Giselle spreads a flourished mood, and with the assistance of the instrumental, it gives a well-rounded full, feeling record bringing listeners to a happy place, all while teaching them an important lesson from her meaningful lyrics. She sings how she took her love for granted and wishes she had realized before it was too late. "You gave me so many chances, and I just blew them all," - this record shows emotional feelings and heartache, which go hand in hand. Giselle continues to mention how she doesn't want to dance with anybody if it's not the person she chooses hence the song title "I D W D" (I don't wanna dance). She feels terrible about the number of chances he gave her and how he can see all of her flaws. As we end, Giselle continues to mention how she doesn't want him to "give up on us." She boasts about his strength in being able to handle the negative emotions that she feels she caused. She tries to move on but doesn't feel emotionally capable of doing so, which is why she's holding on to him, hoping he'll see a brighter day. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Giselle; we are ecstatic to have you join us today. Please tell us your creative process for "I D W D" and how you chose the instrumental you did? I’m so happy to be here! My process of writing the song “I D W D” was an interesting one. I usually write songs from my perspective/things that happened to me. But this song was all about placing myself in a situation I have not yet experienced in my life! I was listening to a lot of Robyn at the time… specifically “Call Your Girlfriend,” “Dancing On My Own,” and “Hang With Me.” Those songs heavily inspired me when we created the instrumental! Wanted to give it a pop, retro, 2000s disco-type vibe. What did you want your fans to take away from "I D W D" and why? I want my fans to take away a big lesson from this. It’s a reminder to treat the people you love with respect, dignity, and kindness. Show the people who love you that you love them. Make decisions that are conscious of not only yourself but others. This record comes across as emotional, yet splendidly sung. What daily things do you do that contribute to keeping your vocals ready and clear to sing? Thank you so much! I warm and do vocal exercises almost every day. I also make sure to not talk too much or take vocal day rests when needed which really helps! Being a female in a male-dominated industry has to be tough. What are some of the beliefs and motivations you stick to that you can share with us? It can definitely be tough. But women belong here. We belong here. That’s a belief and a fact that I constantly remind myself of! Your dreams in this industry are never too big or out of reach. Keep pushing! Each success matters and even “failures” are just lessons and lead to success. What's next for you? Well, the “I D W D” music video will be out later this month and I’m planning on releasing another single in the summer and a bigger project in the fall! Instagram
- Dead Ringer For Katherine On How Love Can Be, “Starcrossed”
Dead Ringer For Katherine consists of the duo Jon Flynn and Jake Smith, growing up in the Chicago suburbs, the friends played in the same bands and toured together, solidifying their strong musical connection. Working remotely from Oakland (Jon) and Nashville (Jake) the duo wrote and recorded what they describe as "A rock opera based on The Vampire Diaries" earlier this year. Death Ringer For Katherine offers us a timeless track, so let's get ready to be "Starcrossed." As we are introduced to this record it brings us serious, yet astounding rock elements as it starts off with the instrumental boldly placed as we begin to hear the vocals seep through the soundscape. Death Ringer For Katherine talks about how he never felt this way about any woman and how starstruck he is to see someone that actually cares for him. Throughout "Starcrossed," Death Ringer For Katherine sings with so much sentiment and passion that we can't resist singing along and adding it to our favorites list. The intensity of the beat is apparent during "Starcrossed" while they talk about their feelings toward their significant other in lyrics like "Now I wish I could take it back, the first time I saw her, I should have looked the other way or maybe I shouldn't have looked at her at all." We find the curated story so beautiful that he still loves her despite his personal feelings. Death Ringer For Katherine correlates their art so well as they combine the perfect rock-type beat to lyrics with meaning and feeling, and "Starcrossed" is a shining example of their craft. Listen to Death Ringer For Katherine's "Starcrossed" today, available on all streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Dead Ringer For Katherine! We couldn't help but notice the impeccable writing and beat selection. Who's in charge of what area when it comes to creating records? Jake played all the drum parts & beats from Nashville, I (Jon) did the guitars, bass, and vocals/lyrics. "Starcrossed" is well put together and is relatable to most of us. What's the message you're delivering to listeners? It's about forbidden love, a brother is in love with his brother's girl, and no matter how real the desire it can never be. What do you think inspires both of you the most to create records like "Starcrossed"? What was the creative process behind it? This is a real angsty track that tells the tale of a love triangle. We wanted the aggression and frustration of the main character to come through in the music. As a duo what advice would you give a younger duo starting out in the industry that wants to make their mark like Dead Ringer For Katherine has? Play as many shows as possible. Networking with other bands and fans in person is still the best way to grow. What's next for you? Once we finish the DRFK tour there are ideas for a follow-up album. Instagram Twitter
- LA-Based Artist Ré Alissa Gives Off A Polished “Goodbye,” In Latest Heartwrenching Ballad
Chicago-native Ré Alissa pours her heart and passion into creating soulful music, inspired by the commonly-experienced realities of life. Her latest release, "Goodbye" hones into many themes of love and heartbreak, all while being instrumentally inspired by the familiarly-appreciated '90s R&B era. Many melodic rhythms that Ré Alissa provides stem from the natural element of soul she brings to her songs, including "Goodbye." Growing up in the church and choir, Ré Alissa was exposed to many instruments that inspired a genuine curiosity and love for music. Ré Alissa also got a sense of authenticity and individuality put into curated music by venturing out to local band performances. Overall, music always served a grander purpose in the life of Ré Alissa and she knew that without a doubt. "Goodbye" begins with a soothing, melodic piano rhythm, which is soon paired with a catchy underlying beat that brings forth that familiar R&B style. Ré Alissa integrates her vocals early on, establishing the soft, yet glamorous style often incorporated into R&B-based songs. You can feel the passion, pain, and resilience in her voice. If you focus on the lyrics, you'll quickly come to realize that "Goodbye" captures the real heartbreak associated with saying goodbye to a lover. Ré Alissa doesn't hold back on expressing the truth surrounding her situation. Her confidence makes "Goodbye" all the more powerful with its message and gives listeners a raw understanding of her perspective of lost love. Ré Alissa was both authoritative and vulnerable with her projected message in "Goodbye." As listeners, we felt intrigued by her story and compelled by her voice articulations. Ré Alissa's vibe really does bring forth the 90s R&B sound we can hopefully all appreciate! Join Ré Alissa in her emotional ballad, "Goodbye" on digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Ré Alissa! Thank you for joining to chat about your single, "Goodbye." What element of creating this song did you find the most challenging, considering the emotional take it has? For me, the most challenging part of creating this song was accurately depicting the situation I was in while still leaving room for others to relate. There were a lot of things I wanted to say that was extremely specific to the situation that I was referring to, but I think that would've taken away from the song. Were there any realizations you had about yourself or the circumstance described in "Goodbye" during its writing and recording process? Writing songs always helps me gain more clarity on a situation, and to unpack how I'm really feeling about the circumstances. I think the biggest realization I had while writing this song is that staying in a situation that you know is not good for you or is not going anywhere always hurts you in the long run. You do more harm to yourself than good by sticking around waiting for a person or a situation to change. This song to me really represents accepting the end of something, and being able to let go and say "Goodbye." Inspired by the 90s R&B era, can you describe the admiration you have for this style of music and why you incorporate it into your own sound? There are so many things I love and admire about the 90s R&B era. The vocal styles, the production of songs, and also the way that these artists portrayed love and relationships. Everything was very raw and real, whether it be a love song or a breakup song. As far as its influence on my music and artistry, I think we tend to mimic what we're inspired by. With that, I don't necessarily incorporate 90's R&B elements into things that I do intentionally. It's more so that this era has played a huge role in my life, and therefore naturally comes through in my sound, looks, etc. These are the songs and artists I was raised on and grew up watching and listening to. I definitely relate to them more than any artists I listen to today. How were you hoping your audience would understand you after listening to "Goodbye?" As in all my music, I just want the audience to be able to relate. One huge element of R&B is relatability. Everyone has been in a relationship before. Everyone has gone through heartbreak and breakups. "Goodbye" is a song that helped me acknowledge and move on from a toxic situation. Hopefully, it can do that for someone else too. - DJ G-string Releases A Banger, “Always (Trance Remix)”
After a seven-year break from music, she debuted on the airwaves in 2020 and has remained prolific. Today we'll be reviewing her latest electrifying and tenacious dance record, "Always (Trance Remix)." DJ G-String is a resident DJ on Good Groove Radio, Secret Lounge Radio, Ibiza Stardust Radio, and the Subterranean Music Venue in Chicago. She’s also held a residency in clubs and played events across the Midwest area. Her endless aural passion and tenacity have allowed her to gain over 1 million Spotify plays since making her debut. The "Always (Trance Remix)" sets a specific tone for the project, being that it's track one, it has an energetic feeling to its production (rightfully so, with it having a trance remix done to it). Trance has always been uptempo and vibey, with its bpm driving your euphoria harder and higher. "Always (Trance Remix)" proves why DJ G-string is next to blow in the DJ industry! The synths and effervescent sonics drive this record to the max, giving you the dance vibe to get you out of your seats and onto the dance floor and getting you into the mood to rave & bounce around to the punching kick drums and inspiring melodies. The hypnotic vocals set a mysterious yet clarified sound overall, giving it that energy to raise the heart rate. The rapturing bass and hypnotic groove in "Always (Trance Remix)" have us entertained, surprised, and dancing! This trance record is 100% a record we'd put on if we'd like to increase the euphoric vibe, uplift the mood in the room, or raise the heart rate, getting us on the dancefloor immediately. Dance the night away with the hypnotic sounds of DJ G-String as she conducts the grooviest and most exciting tunes known to man! Enjoy this listening experience, with all its twists and turns from the first second to the very last. Welcome to BuzzMusic DJ G-String! Your work on "Always (Trance Remix)" is incredible! What sparked the idea of creating a trance rendition of your "Always" record? What made this record so special? I was listening to a lot of trance and I was thinking OMG I should make a trance EP - ha. I mean it usually happens this way driving in my convertible - top-down - ideas flowing through my curly hair - trying to give you some imagery. But seriously I love my track Always it was pivotal with my style and sound and really the first love-driven dance track I wrote about my wife. All my other tracks are usually about the depressing parts of love, but yeah - growing up in my emotions, I guess. I felt that there were some tracks of my music that really could come alive with trance. I also am an old-school-style trance like Tiesto Silence, Pan Van Dyke For an Angel, or Gabriel & Dresden tracking treasure down. I mean I think having a Nostalgia spot in that time I was jamming to some older jams I listened to when I started DJing - so the concept of this EP was born. "Always (Trance Remix)" has us out of our seats, ready for a great night! Did you purposefully select trance for the grooves and moods in it? If so, why did you enjoy what a trance remix does to a record? I usually make music based on how I feel. I have to say doing a lot of connecting with producers that make trance music on the regular and getting some of their feedback helped me a lot with starting the concept of this track. I have built a nice group of friends in the music industry that is indie-like which has inspired me to build outside of my house style of music. I wanted something that was chill but drawing and really didn't impact the original vibe of Always. I think Always in general is one of my favorite tracks besides my next release out June 10th called I want you to know. As a female DJ in the industry, how would you encourage other DJs who find it hard to break through the industry? It is incredibly hard. I think when I started back in 2002 really it was easier - dance music was still growing up and now we have dance music at main huge festivals and DJs at concerts with big artists. So I think coming back to this after being gone for a few years and starting to really produce was challenging. I came back during Covid so probably wasn't the best timing but I have met some great people on this journey. I'm still trying to break through, but I am tenacious AF so if I have my mind set on something I'm doing it - no barriers. I think the advice I can give is just to keep moving - keep producing quality, and explore other genres. I was recently told I should consider making pop music too and I don't know maybe I will make a pop song or two. When writing the lyrics for this song, what did you want your listeners to know that you might've felt they overlooked? Always is about a song about true love. I mean the type of love that shouldn't exist. I am one of the lucky ones to have found an amazing human to share my life with that supports me fully and never brings me down. Her sacrifices for me to have my dreams is so selfless that I am always shocked by the capacity of her love. So, if you hear the track Always it really is just being so consistent that you know in your heart it is always. I also sang the original of this track in Greek too What's next for you? Tons of new music releases. I want you to know - house track out June 10th Billie Jean Cover song - Big room out July 15th Old Town Road Cover Song - House track out August 5th LA Woman Cover Song - Disco House track out Sept Two Originals - In all my life and All I want out at the end of the year! - Ekene Anonyai Leads The Way With Her New Hit Single, “Callin’ Me.”
Ekene is a 24-year-old Canadian-based Nigerian singer and songwriter, and she comes into the music industry with her take on RnB/Soul, Afrofushion, Gospel, and Neo-soul. "Callin' Me" channels the emotional and spiritual with multiple classic 90"s RnB sounds and subtle traps. As Ekene continues pursuing her dreams, she found her passion for music by singing in choirs since primary/ elementary school. After nurturing an online presence by uploading covers on Youtube over the past few years, Ekene has pushed the boundaries regardless! The musical range of her debut single is a poetic representation of her style - classic with a dynamically urban twist. "Callin' Me" started as a freestyle when a friend of Ekene's, Ibro, sent her the beat in 2019. Since then, the record has been in the works with several versions to get it to where it is now. "Callin' Me" introduces us to its soft, serene instrumental as her angelic follows shortly after. Ekene sings so freely about her feelings and how she felt hurt during certain situations she had no control over in lyrics like "You walked right past me like you didn't know me yeah" and, "I told you I loved you, but you did not care." It's such a beautiful story as the drums beat, and the bass hits just like an RNB song should! Ekene describes her emotions so well while her celestial, strong voice pulls together all the aspects which make it stand out even more. "Callin' Me" brings relatable words and motivation for any woman who has been treated wrongly or has ever felt they weren't good enough. She mentions how the person she met changed and broke so many promises, Akene shows how vulnerable she is but wants us to know that we shouldn't be stuck on the past and take the hurt and turn it into greatness, much as she's doing in this record. Let's not forget Ekene brought authentic RNB/Soul vibes with "Callin' Me" with her continuous vibrato and drum and bass, which compliments her voice so well. This record can reflect that true passion shows even while going through a hard time due to personal situations, she ends off by saying things like "you're a liar, you're a criminal," telling us that she isn't afraid to say what she needs to, and I'm sure we all have felt this way before. Now available on all digital platforms, let's wrap up all our emotions with Ekene Anoyai and her hit single "Callin' Me," now available on all digital platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic Ekene. We are so happy to have you here with us today. We adore "Callin' Me" as the vibes are impeccable. How did this song come about, and what was the creative process? Hi BuzzMusic, thank you so much for having me and loving the record! The song itself started off as a freestyle when a friend, Ibro, sent me the beat in 2019, and since then, it's been recorded and re-recorded with several versions just to get it to where it is now. I am just really excited for everyone to hear it and relate to it! " Callin' Me" is a relatable record with massive potential. What did you want your listeners to take away from this record? Thank you so much again; I genuinely hope people do relate to it. The record is about being in love with someone who no longer feels the same way. Eventually, the person wants you back after seeing you thriving out of the relationship. The line ‘I told you I loved you, but you did not care’ is a bit of an exaggeration, but what I want my listeners to take away from this is that anyone that makes you feel this way is not worth going back to; no matter how many times they call or seem to have changed - for the better. As a female artist, what would you say was the most challenging moment in your career and why? Honestly, the most challenging moment in my career as a female artist involved unwanted intimate advances made toward me by someone who was meant to be producing a record for me. It was challenging because I had to maneuver the situation in a way that I could return home safely that day without also agreeing to those advances. At the end of the day, all I wanted to do and still want to do was to make music. Hopefully, more female artists can occupy these spaces and still feel safe. What advice would you give any young woman regarding situations you've been through, as you mentioned in "Callin' Me?” For any young women out there, don’t be with people who don’t deserve you. Especially people who have already shown you sides to them that aren’t pleasant. If you need to start asking the lines in the song “Who did? Where did this you come from?” then I don’t think it is worth it. What's next for you? There is a lot to do, there is a lot that is ‘next for me!' This is my first song ever that is being released to the public on streaming platforms, and I am just so grateful to God. I also cannot wait to see what is next, but more music is definitely at the top of that list for me. I cannot wait for everyone to hear what I have to offer! Instagram Twitter

After a 20-year hiatus from the music scene, psychedelic rock recording artist and singer-songwriter Jacob Chacko returns with his debut single, "Good Moment." There's no doubt that listeners will adore Chacko's refreshing, lively, and feel-good tunes, especially as he continues to come out on top despite the world's state of turmoil and chaos. Jacob Chacko recently released his debut single, "Good Moment," from his forthcoming debut album, 'Better Now Than Never.' That's exactly the right attitude we hope to see in more artists, especially those looking to get back into the swing of music creation. The new song is bright, anthemic, and speaks to living in the moment and relishing the good times. "It is a simple chill tune intended to brighten someone's day," says Chacko. Allow Jacob Chacko's new single "Good Moment" to be your soundtrack for the summer, now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Jacob Chacko. We truly appreciate such an uplifting and feel-good tune like "Good Moment." Why did you want this piece to lead the way for your new discography? Thank you for having me BuzzMusic. I just felt this was the right time for me and the general environment (pandemic era) to have a little feel-good, chill song that can inspire. Wanted to kick-start the campaign with a good, easy to sing along tune, with a bit of a spring/summer feel to it. What inspired you to write about being optimistic and living in the moment for "Good Moment?" It was composed during the height of the pandemic, everybody was stuck at home (limited mobility), wanting something good and positive to look forward to. On a more personal note, what inspired you to get back into the music scene after a 20-year hiatus? I just knew within me I had still something to offer in music. For the most part, I did cover tunes before, I just wanted to challenge myself to come out with decent and presentable original music within a relatively short period (6 months or so). Considering "Good Moment" is quite the optimistic tune, should we expect more like this on your upcoming debut album, 'Better Now Than Never?' Absolutely, the next single "Dream," which was just released on May 15th2022, is about possibilities and perseverance which starts within us. Please check out: Spotify and Youtube. What's next for you? Hope to release a few more singles this year and probably start on some newer material towards the end of the year. With a lot on the plate, I hope to get some even stronger material than before; all hype. For music downloads (Album and Singles) and merchandise click here. Instagram Facebook
