- Meet The Dynamic Duo, Mouth Noise And Their New Single, "Baby You're Mine"
Mouth Noise is a duo that consists of brothers Wes Luna and Daniel Luna, based out of Los Angeles and Denver. The music started off as a side project for Wes during quarantine, in which he played all the instruments while brother Daniel added his vocals. Despite their distance, the pair were still able to collaborate and combine their ideas to create their brand new single, "Baby You're Mine." The excitement continues with their upcoming self-titled album which will consist of 7 songs, due out this summer. "Baby You're Mine" sees Wes and Daniel's hard work and collaboration pay off with the help of producer Jamie Hillyar and mastered by Jack Endino. "Baby You're Mine" delivers an 80's classic sound and a karaoke vibe, while simultaneously delivering an electrifying production. As brothers, the pair holds each other up throughout the production, like the great duo they are, and complement each other's style while shining their own light without dimming the others. The charming vocals serenade the song's protagonist, as the lyrics melodically convey their emotions while they are together, describing their time spent together as, "sunny all the time." There is an overall feeling of peace and joy while the chorus sings "Baby You're Mine," radiated through gentle and loving vocals. The song's soundscape dazzles with velvety and radiant guitar notes that keep the listener blissfully swaying along with the piece. Daniel Luna does an impeccable job matching the disposition of Wes Luna's production demonstrated by his lively flows and melodies, and the upgraded vintage style heard on "Baby You're Mine" keeps us wanting more from the dynamic duo, Mouth Noise. Enjoy the passionate and soothing sonics of Mouth Noise and their breakout single "Baby You're Mine," and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for their upcoming 7-track album, dropping in Summer 2022. Welcome to BuzzMusic Mouth Noise, and congratulations on your new single, "Baby You're mine." When was the moment you knew this duo would be a great idea, and could you explain a bit more about that moment for us? My brother and I have always been the musical ones in our family. I had the idea of having my brother on vocals on one of my songs, and once he recorded them, I knew we had to use his vocals for the whole record. Was "Baby You're Mine" the first record you've done together, or were there other ideas you filtered through to get to this point? This has been an idea we've had for a while. It was just a matter of the timing, being we both live in different states. The talent showcased in this duo is one to take note of. Have you always been creating and sharpening your skills over the years, and what do you do to keep in that creative space? Yes, we both are always doing something that involves music. I have another band in Denver called Wiff, and Daniel has his own projects in Los Angeles. How did working on "Baby You're Mine" in different spaces affect your creative process, and what are some of the challenges you've faced while working separately? It was challenging not being in the same room to work on music. However, it was fun to send each other pieces of the song up until its finished product. We would also call each other on the phone and explain what ideas each other had. What's next for you? We plan on having a release show in Denver & Los Angeles. On top of that, we are hoping to work on a second record. Instagram
- Tim Lill’Scallywag Fretwell Is Cautiously, “Dealing With Old Scratch”
Ontario-based blues recording artist, musician, and singer-songwriter Tim Lill’Scallywag Fretwell has seen his fair share of trials and tribulations, reflecting them in his music like the recent single, "Dealing With Old Scratch." Diagnosed with diabetes at 16 months old, Tim Lill’Scallywag Fretwell first felt inspired to create music after his father passed away due to the same disorder. After losing his vision and getting placed on dialysis, he found himself working in a slaughterhouse, getting stabbed and crushed by a forklift. These themes are the foundation of Fretwell's soulful and meaningful tunes. Now releasing his recent single, "Dealing With Old Scratch," the song is the first track on Tim Lill’Scallywag Fretwell's latest EP 'Isolation Sickness.' The single itself of reminiscent of Fretwell's inspirations like The Tragically Hip, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, Hank Williams, and Robert Johnson, but with a unique flair that screams grit, inclusivity, individuality. Taking a listen to the new track, "Dealing With Old Scratch," we're met with a stunning, soulful, and twangy guitar introduction where various acoustic and electric guitars set the song's introspective tone. Listening to Fretwell's vocal appearance, he starts shouting out individuals who like pills, can't pay bills, and reach for the bottle, all experiences that he's lived first-hand. This song is a heavy hitter, from Fretwell's groans and aches to his toe-tapping acoustic guitar melodies that ooze in western nostalgia. We sincerely appreciate this deep and conceptual foot-stomper; it's equally as gripping as it is emotional. Tim Lill’Scallywag Fretwell does an incredible job of placing the listener in such troubling and grueling moments. Feel seen, heard, and acknowledged in Tim Lill’Scallywag Fretwell's new single, "Dealing With Old Scratch," off his recent 6-track EP 'Isolation Sickness,' now available on all streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Tim Lill'Scallywag Fretwell. We're wildly impressed with the inclusive yet emotional concept of your recent single, "Dealing With Old Scratch." What inspired this cathartic and soulful track? I was having dinner with someone close to me, and they asked me who I was. I had just left a toxic relationship and moved out of Toronto and back to Waterloo. And I was listing to a lot of The Devil Makes Three, and I wanted to sum up the real world through my eyes by writing a song that had a catchy chorus and could be used as a sort of drinking anthem. The DMT is just that, and I sat down with the guitar, and here we are. I set out to define myself in a song, and I feel I accomplished that. Was it challenging to write such personal lyrics for "Dealing With Old Scratch?" What was that process like? Not at all. I thought about the concept for about a week, and then when I put pen to paper, It just came right off the top of my head; it took me 10 minutes to put the guitar to it, and ya, it was done. But what was tricky was recording my upright bass without a professional sound guy and top-end mics. I ended up using a combination of a Piezo pickup and a sure 58, and I got the job done. What sort of listening experience did you aim to provide listeners with when experiencing the heavy-hitting single "Dealing With Old Scratch?" Like I said above, I wanted a song that makes people wanna get up and hoist a glass and sing along, meanwhile making the old barflies say, "F*ck, I hear ya, buddy." How does "Dealing With Old Scratch" represent the core theme within your recent EP 'Isolation Sickness?' It has elements of all the other songs within it. It encapsulates the idea that I do things my way and don't care what people like fucking Simon Cowel say. When you listen to DWOS, you know by the second verse what to expect from the rest of my album. It also allows the listener to make a choice; when their end comes, you can choose the light, or you are dealing with the devil. What's next for you? Well, I have 4 or 5 more tracks that I am in the process of finishing that didn't make the cut the first time around, so I have that in the works also. I really want to get out there and play shows, and I'd love to go on tour one day. Tim Lill’Scallywag Fretwell Band Camp

- Find Solace in Chic Chameleon's Debut EP, 'Doomed'
Born and raised in the Alberta Prairies, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter Chic Chameleon sends us off into a sonic daydream with his debut 4-track EP, 'Doomed.' Chic Chameleon is best known for his lush alternative, shoegaze, dream pop sound that uses ethereal reverbs, repeating delays, and thick choruses to reach that familiar melancholy aesthetic. Bringing this to life is Chic Chameleon's new self-made EP, 'Doomed,' helping us understand the extent of the Edmonton-based artist's creative capabilities. Jumping into the new EP, the experience kicks off with the sweet-sounding intro track, "Santree," which greets the ears with stunningly reverbed electric guitars and the softest synths you could imagine. As Chic Chameleon moves his way through the song with filtered vocals to create a sense of depth and space, he sings of leaving his comfort zone and wondering why life faces us with such challenges and strife. It's interesting how Chic Chameleon sings rather emotional, poetic lyrics while his instrumentals glitter and gleam with such radiance and tranquility. Moving into track number two, "Dreaming of Heaven," Chic Chameleon takes things down a notch with this warm, tender, and melancholy alternative/psychedelic instrumentals. Listening to his soothing vocal stylings, Chameleon begins expanding on a bittersweet theme of dreaming of heaven amongst the chaos on this plane. This song does a perfect job of tugging on each and every heartstring, and the overall cohesive experience feeds the soul and captures us in a state of awe and reverence. If there's any song of Chic Chameleon's to chill you to the bone, it'd be this one. Diving into the album's third track, "Noble Lies," the tune blissfully opens on this deeply emotional note through the most tender and delicate reverbed electric guitar melodies alongside Chic Chameleon's honest and passionate words that hit us with incredibly relatable yet personal themes. The song's shimmering yet emotional instrumentals offer this melancholy blend of Wallows meets Tame Impala, but Chic Chameleon has such a distinctive performance style that truly sets him apart from the rest. This song perfectly represents loving someone endlessly but feeling confused about why they treat us as a punching bag. Landing on the EP's outro and title track, "Doomed," the song softly opens with a crescendoing alternative instrumental that offers an incredibly dreamy and lush listening experience right off the bat. Listening to Chic Chameleon's warm and harmonious vocals, he carefully and thoughtfully expands on inevitable doom and how life wait's for no one. The entire instrumental slowly kicks in and washes us over with a profound sense of reflection while Chic Chameleon leads us to the chilling outro and closes the song on this bittersweet note of time's perpetual rate. If ever there were a listening experience to provide listeners with equal amounts of bliss and introspection, it would be this. Find your solace in Chic Chameleon's debut 4-track EP, 'Doomed,' now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Chic Chameleon. We truly loved every second of your debut 4-track EP, 'Doomed.' Where did you find the inspiration to create this profoundly introspective project? Doomed EP was conceived during a time when my mother was diagnosed with throat cancer. It was 2020, and the health care system was incredibly overrun. It took a very long time for the procedures to begin and the months leading up to her finally being admitted to surgery were horrible. I felt doomed. I felt as though my family was bound to lose my mom. My thoughts turned to my mortality. The harsh reality is that we all have to face death one day. The cover art concept came to me while I was at work. The bed is a visual metaphor representing the idea that everyone will face the same eventuality - we are doomed to sleep forever. The face in the bed alludes to the notion that death resides in every individual's subconscious in one way or another, and we live with its harsh reality all the time. The EP also works as an important symbol because it is the closest thing to death that a living person can experience during life. The visual of the bed is important to the overall concept because it is generally considered a very safe and comforting place for many people. There is also a strange comfort in knowing that your life story will end when you are laid to rest. I wanted to play into the contrast between sleep and death and how sleep is considered comforting and relaxing. In contrast, death is considered jarring and uncomfortable even though both share so many similarities. Your creative process was like for 'Doomed,' considering you wrote, mixed, and mastered the project entirely solo? The process was slow. I felt a certain obligation to do it all myself. I tried to be self-reliant and wanted to prove that I could realize a whole project from start to finish. I relearned how to tune the drums and started experimenting with muting the snare and toms to find a good indie tone. Recording drums proved to be very difficult, and I must have recorded 50 takes on "Dreaming of Heaven" before I was generally happy with the sound/feel. I bought a new interface and was learning how t record multi-track drums on it and to create presets for each instrument so that the sound would generally be consistent throughout the ep. My efforts in creating the presets also helped streamline the rest of the tracking process. I didn't have any professional sound baffles, so I used two air mattresses with blankets to isolate the mics. Pretty professional, right? I recorded my jazz-master guitar through a bunch of pedals; the empress reverb, DD7 delay, and Keeley compressor, to name a few, and finally through my Fender 65' deluxe reverb amp. Bass guitar was DI'd, and synth patches came from the Korg Monologue XD. The rest of the ep was recorded over the remainder of 2021 over a several-month period as I experimented with the guitar tone, mic placement, pedals, automation on vocal tracks, and trying not to lose my mind re-listening to each song over and over. I mixed each song as I recorded it, comparing it to some reference tracks from Slowdive, Japanese Breakfast, and Mac DeMarco. Lastly, I researched quite a bit about mastering and tried my best to get a cohesive sound between each track in the final mix. I'm happy with the final product, and I hope that my listeners will enjoy it too. Overall, Doomed was a very lengthy process. For the full-length album that I'm currently writing, I'm going to hire a producer to bring in a fresh set of ears. I'm confident that it's going to take my compositions to the next level. Which song from 'Doomed' was the most emotional and personal to you? Why is that so? The song 'Doomed' is the most personal and emotional for me. Everything about it has to do with my mother fighting cancer. Each of the tracks relates to traumatic experiences felt throughout 2020, but Doomed is the heaviest track of the four. Were there any thoughts or realizations you wanted to evoke in listeners when experiencing 'Doomed'? The content is focused on existential thoughts regarding death, loss of relationships, and coping during a terrible time of my life. If anything, I want to evoke introspection, melancholy, mourning, and hope in people. My goal is that this EP would be there to comfort people who are going through similar experiences that I went through and feel understood. How does the debut EP, 'Doomed,' represent you and your sound? Would you say this project reflects your musical approach and style? Doomed has been a long journey of my artistic self-expression. I think each song's inspiration comes from a different sub-genre of Indie and was influenced by what I was listening to over the past two years. I'm fairly confident that my songs sound accurate to the vision that I see for them. Classic Indie, Dream Pop, Bedroom Pop, Post Rock, and Shoegaze were all very prominent influences over this period. Chic Chameleon will continue on its exploration and experimentation in Indie music. Often the initial idea compared to the finished product will be noticeably different from each other, but I think that that's a widespread process for artists. I'm happy with the stylistic choices I've blended into this EP. INSTAGRAM
- Join Us As INTLCT Exhibits What The "Science Trap," Really Is
INTLCT, originally from Montgomery, Alabama, is a rapper and lyricist that paints pictures metaphorically and describes his life in and out of the streets. He talks about things that he personally experienced, the political issues he's faced, and how they affected his outlook on life. In his latest single, "Science Trap," he touches on subjects like oppression, street life, and self-encouragement. As we listen in close to the many struggles he had growing up in the hood, he speaks on how difficult it was to think outside of the box. Misperceptions often happen because sometimes the hood is all you know, especially mentioning the media control misguiding on top of it all. The crooked system never sat well with INTLCT. He explains in his verse that even though it's a journey, it's extremely difficult to see your destination through all the obstacles you've faced on the way. One of these obstacles for INTLCT was his brother getting shot six times. Through this all, he strives to plant seeds for his future and understands that we need to go through the storm to reach salvation. He speaks on how they put people in prison and glorify the same things all over the media that they're locking people up for. Hence the title "Science Trap," INTLCT believes that there's more to what meets the eye as to what really goes on in these streets. Welcome to BuzzMusic INTLCT. It's a pleasure to have you here with us today. How did you come about the concept for this record, and what was your creative process while writing it? Contrasting lifestyles were compared to where I grew up and lived as an adult. Similar statistics and pretty much the same distractions exist in certain demographics around America. I correlated the conditions to a science experiment because most areas were actually called 'projects.' You touch on many interesting subjects that are often overlooked. What would you like your listeners to take away from this record? I just wanted to give the listeners an insight into my mentality from a personal but political perspective as well. There are many changes happening in the world right now. What are three things you'd change in your community if you had the opportunity to? More art murals, more creative but positive signs, posters, bulletins as well to influence the youths mentally.... kind of like how it was growing up in the 90s. I am figuring a way to keep the Earth green by cleaning the streets in more harmony and community unison, influencing a healthy fit lifestyle derived from dieting and exercise. No wars, no jealousy, or envy. Once that's erased, there will be any more distractions we'd become more of a people of the planet instead of being destructive to it. Who or what inspired you to create your first rhyme? Describe to us more about that moment. I've always been a writer since I was younger. As I matured, I started to try to figure out a creative way to expand and display my message. What's next? More music, of course! instagram.com/_itsintlct

Z3TH3R, an Oakland-based instrumentalist and producer, has teamed up with Zimbabwean recording artist Ulenni Okandlovu for two new reflective singles: "Goodbye" and "What It Means." Z3TH3R's solo project was inspired by a range of influences, from nature field recordings to alternative guitars and 808 beats. Z3TH3R continues to explore sonic soundscapes with the help of fellow recording artists like Okandlovu, who is the founder and lead vocalist of the experimental duo Bantu Spaceships. The recently paired artists recently released their two singles, "Goodbye" and "What It Means." Okandlovu explains the former as "a prayer for loved ones to endure and stay strong in tough times." The second song, "What It Means," is said to be "a cry from deep within for those seeking a chance in life," notes the Zimbabwean recording artist. "Goodbye" opens with a hazy and soft electric guitar melody. As Z3TH3R's production and instrumentals expand into a dreamy and lo-fi sound, Okandlovu makes his vocal appearance while grooving into a smooth rap that reminds listeners to remain strong during such unexpected events turbulent times. Jumping into the second single, "What It Means," Z3TH3R opens the song with another spacious and celestial sonic soundscape that slowly develops into a heavy and rumbling drum break. Okandlovu showcases his broad vocal stylings in this track while serenading listeners with his sweet falsetto. His airy harmonies add another reflective layer while singing about how everyone deserves an equal chance at life no matter their situation and circumstances. The overall themes within both singles are reflective and uplifting, providing hope and sweet sonics. When asked about the primary source of inspiration behind the songs, Z3TH3R explained that he was feeling collaboratively isolated during the pandemic and decided to produce a "social distance beat tape" with other artists. Ulenni Okandlovu chose a couple of tracks he liked, emailed Z3TH3R stellar vocals, and then production began. What resulted was a smooth collaborative process that yielded two beautifully crafted singles. Z3TH3R explains that he wanted the listener to feel the freedom of the road and the swirling thoughts of self-doubt that can come with following one's intuition while listening to "Goodbye." For "What It Means," he aimed to create a war cry that serves as a rising up and grief ritual - a reminder to take care of one another and show love where we can. Both singles represent the artist's growth and expansion into new realms of creative potential. - DJ BLKLUOS Returns With New Single And Video For, “NO CHANGE”
DJ BLKLUOS, well known for his works with Prodigy (Mobb Deep) and features on MTV, releases an EP featuring seven records from Nova Scotia's own rising star HATFIELD. Already having released five unforgettable singles together, the pair linked up in Toronto, locked themselves in the studio for five days, and created a lot more than just seven tracks, including a music video to "NO CHANGE." "NO CHANGE" has a number of deep lines & lyrics about the wars that happen on the block and how it felt to be him, witnessing it all first-hand. He speaks about how he doesn't let anything get him down, whether it's something he feels strongly about or something in his everyday life. With the automatic vibey feel from the instrumental, it takes us away and gives us some lyrical gems we can relate to, like "Last year I was hurt, I refuse that." DJ BLKLUOS on the production side of things, kept it Brooklyn with the groove and the sounds selected along with the VHS-styled visuals to craft this nostalgic vibe. "NO CHANGE" music video depicts the nostalgic sounds perfectly, taking you back in time; the 90's hip-hop era, to be exact; when Brooklyn had gained mass attention and everyone's ears were fixated on the city's hip-hop creators. With their newest project and music video to "NO CHANGE" amassing views and gaining traction on YouTube, be sure to be on the look for more music from this duo of talent. Welcome to BuzzMusic DJ BLKLUOS and HATFIELD, and congratulations on your latest single, "NO CHANGE." We love your new single. What inspired the nostalgic 90's feel of this song, and what kind of headspace were you in when you did? DJBLKLUOS: Thanks so much for featuring us on BuzzMusic. It truly means alot. Honestly, this track was created so; naturally, I played the beat for Hatfield, and within minutes, he was writing his verses. I wasn't even sure he would like the beat, but once I heard his bars, I knew it was going to be a vibe. Lyrically he killed it, and I was impressed that he chose such a melodic 90s-type beat. This track and record is a statement. We were showcasing our versatility. With this record being one of the main singles off your collaboration project, what makes this record so special to you and HATFIELD? DJBLKLUOS: For me, what makes this record so special is that we were able to lock in the studio and create good work chemistry. Instead of trading files back and forth through Gmail, so I knew we had to shoot a visual. HATFIELD: This record is special to me because it's organically raw hip hop in its purest form. There are no antics, no gimmicks, nothing other than two talents coming together to bring the world top-tier art. On this record, it's being shown the pair of us, as artists, aren't using anything other than the skills crafted to showcase that Canada is full of amazing black creators. The music video is a blast from the past. How did you come up with the concept and locations that you filmed at? DJBLKLUOS: I wanted our video to have that 90s hip hop video look and feel to match the song. We shot the video in a studio as well as downtown Toronto, and it was cold AF outside; haha, ask Hatfield. Both of your influences in the music industry speak volumes. What is your main objective when creating the legacy that you'd like to leave behind? DJBLKLUOS: My main objective when producing is to give the artist Im working with the perfect audio canvas to create and tell their stories or experiences. My objective for creating a legacy is to make timeless music but not be boxed into one genre. What's next for you? DJBLKLUOS: Everything is next! I'm currently getting ready to release Bootleg Szn 5 (a remix series I started a few years ago). Expect another project with Hatfield this summer. More EPs, music videos, and show dates. - BoogieMadeoff Drops A Fire Comeback Single, "MODELS & BOTTLES"
BoogieMadeoff took a five-year break from the rap game to handle personal business and regenerated his passion to start making music again because of how unimpressed he was with the music that was coming out of the Bay Area. He went to the legendary producer Traxamillion (before he passed on) to get it his career up and running again. The first record that came out was "MODELS & BOTTLES" featuring Clyde Carson. BoogieMadeoff brings the heat to the Bay Area with his smash rap record "MODELS & BOTTLES." It's a certified speaker knocker, expressing to us how fuelled he felt after hearing the rest of the music coming out of his area. The video starts with Clyde Carson rapping about his life experiences growing up, saying that he had gone through things that aren't for the weak-hearted. He touches on how he's "deep in the belly of the beast," how in the heart of the ghetto they are and how all they can reach for is the money, especially when you grow up with your "stomach touching." In the second half of the video, BoogieMadeoff comes through with his energetic and sauced-out flavor. Looking bossed up, he delivers us this tightest verse showing us why he's the coldest. With his models and bottles, he flexes his talent through crispy and fresh visuals as he adds his unique flavor amongst the other recognizable stars in and around the Bay Area. BoogieMadeoff reminds us that this is just a preview of what he's got in store for us as this single is only his first record after his 2-year hiatus to re-coupe and sharpen his blades. We're excited to hear him deliver more heat for us with the next records and visuals he releases. Welcome to BuzzMusic BoogieMadeoff! What a real honor it is to have you with us today. How did this record come about during your sessions with the late Taximillion and how was the energy in the studio at the time you were creating this record? This recording session was special the mere fact that I knew he was sick but he didn't know I knew so I wanted to make sure I made a hit we had a long history of making music and it always came out unique I had my daughter with me at the time she was one years old she got a chance to take a picture with him We understand the big deal of shooting a music video and the process of crafting it can be, so how was your experience shooting this one? Well a good friend of mine wrote the treatment collaborated with the video director on the storyboard helped me with the financial aspect of the video as far as getting the location and paying for the models and paying the director What was the process of collaboration like with Clyde Carson and why did you choose him as your featuring artist? Over the years I made several songs with Clyde Carson I had my verse done on the record I just need a feature so I reached out to him on IG. And immediately returned my call the next day he drove down to San Jose and met up with me in the studio and laid his verse down. He did me a favor and re-recorded his verse for me because I got into an altercation with the engineer at the studio and they didn't give me my music files. Hearing the rest of the Bay Areas' music, what do you plan to add to the game that will make you unique from the rest? What do you feel is missing? My style has always been unique and stood out from everyone else I can sing as well as rap I can hit all the notes from the temptations if I had to compare my style to anyone I would compare it to a CeeLo green. What do I feel it's missing o feel it's missing me and my creativity and my energy? What's next for you? Next is just to keep working on this record until it gets bigger plan to premiere the video on BET JAMS AND WORK THE RADIO STATIONS. instagram.com/boogie.bellacheck

The studio's neon LED lights perfectly set the late-night grind vibe, not to mention a few of D.O.L.O.'s team members hashing out business. D.O.L.O.'s vocal and visual performance offers this composed and self-assured energy, not cocky, which is pretty hard to come by in modern hip-hop. Circling back to the music video, D.O.L.O. closes the experience through scenes of the complex creative process, bouncing ideas off his team, and keeping the hustle alive until sunrise. Allow D.O.L.O. to give you some needed motivation with his latest single and music video for "Addicted To Hustlin'," available to watch on YouTube and stream on all digital platforms. Welcome back to BuzzMusic, D.O.L.O. We truthfully appreciate the behind-the-scenes look at the artist grind in your new music video for "Addicted To Hustlin'." So what inspired you to write a song about your love for the hustle? Thanks for having me back! It's always love, most definitely.... but I have always had a knack for selling things from a young age. I always needed a way to keep some type of money in my pocket. Whether it came from cleaning, detailing cars, selling cars, clothes, shoes, and now music, I always had the drive to have some type of hustle about myself. So I just decided to finally make a song about it. Did you produce "Addicted To Hustlin'" yourself? What sort of overall feel and atmosphere did you want to provide through the song's production? Actually, MikeyTussin produced "Addicted To Hustling," a major shout-out to him for real. You know, when I hear a new work of production from the producer I'm working with, I try to take in what they felt when they created the beat. I look at the title of the beat itself and try to connect the song I'm going to put on it together with the feel of it, so it lays together well. I want to kind of tell stories but in a new kind of way, if that makes sense. Why did you feel that shooting the song's music video in your studio was a good fit for the overall concept? How does the music video reflect the song itself, "Addicted To Hustlin'"? The studio is where a lot of my motion took place for the majority of my life. It's how I came to know certain people and certain things. The studio was basically the catalyst for my hustle mentality, so to speak. I already had it ingrained in my pedigree, I just had to find my own lane, and for the video, I wanted to base the setting on where my hustle game elevated. What was it like working with director K.H.E.B.A. and videographer/editor A Real Demigod for "Addicted To Hustlin'"? How did they help capture your ideas and visions? K.H.E.B.A. and arealdemigod are masters at what they do! They know how to take the vision you have within the song and really expound on those concepts to bring them to video form. With the visual, it's all about connecting the concepts and having a thought-out sequence to your scenes. It's the only way you're going to have people interested in what you have going on for the entire video or for at least most of it, you know..? If there's one thing, you wanted viewers and listeners to take away from "Addicted To Hustlin'," what would that be? If you watch the "Addicted to Hustling" video, you're sure to catch the subtle signs of what E.F.M.G. has going on and what is in store for years to come. We are making great music, pumping merchandise, making profits, and living our lives while doing it, simply. What's next for you? The next venture for me is working on my debut album, shooting more videos for "On A Run," make sure you'll go get that (), and working on the "Family Affair" Concert Series, which is coming up soon. So I plan to be pretty busy for the next year or so getting all of those things together and expanding the brand, so be sure to stay locked in on the progress and subscribe to my YouTube channel to stay up to date on the latest video content!
