  • Wailing Urei Is “Howling,” In Latest Single

Wailing Urei is the up-and-coming London-based artist, guitarist, and singer-songwriter you absolutely need to keep your eyes on. Wailing Urei works his magic to create Alt-Rock tracks infused with Darkwave and Lo-Fi sonic atmospheres that will only leave you wanting more. His latest release, "Howling," is the first track off his upcoming debut album, which is set to come out later this year. Wailing Urei has created a dark and mysterious sonic landscape throughout "Howling." Along with heavier, darker elements, he's also infused the track with chilled-out Lo-Fi beats that are a consistent feature throughout, perfectly supporting Wailing Urei's signature ambient electric guitar lines. He's managed to effortlessly combine his classic Alt-Rock, Darkwave, and Lo-Fi elements to create this standout single. Throughout "Howling," Wailing Urei's vocals are ominous, mysterious, and ambient, constantly reiterating the lines, "Howling, I heard howling, I can feel their eyes, Always watching me" in various forms. Through this repetition, he creates a sense of foreboding and uneasiness, almost making you want to look over your own shoulder to see if anyone is watching you. Wailing Urei has managed to create a soundscape that somehow leaves the listeners with a sense of mystery, calmness, and doom all at the same time - it's safe to say that we are officially amazed. Check out "Howling" by Wailing Urei today, and keep your eyes peeled for his much anticipated upcoming album, set to arrive this year. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Wailing Urei! We are so pleased to have you here and want to give you a big congratulations on your compelling single, "Howling." Can you tell us a bit more about the inspiration behind this dark and mysterious track? Thank you very much. I'm glad to finally have it out. It's been floating around unfinished for a while. I wanted to try and get across that lonely, paranoid feeling and how those thoughts can really just bury themselves in your head if you let them. What sort of listening experience did you want to give your audience with "Howling?" How did you want the song to make them feel? I think the best feeling I want to get across with it is that lonely walk home at night or when you're up at 3 am, still online but not really doing anything but just not wanting to deal with another day. It's more of a headphones song, I think. You have an amazing knack for blending multiple genres, including Alt-Rock, Darkwave, Lo-Fi, and much more. Is there any genre you haven't yet explored that you want to tap into more with future releases? I'm definitely looking at how I can play around with more experimental and noise or maybe even a bit more electronic component. I am definitely going to fold in more industrial, just a more abrasive and energetic sound overall. Is "Howling" any indication of what listeners might expect to hear more of in your upcoming album? 100%, as I had the concept, Howling was the first thing I wrote. Everything else fell into place after, so it is unquestionably leading the sound of the album. What's next for you? I was already looking at a new album that I'm excited about getting to work on. I'm still in the very early stages, though, so I don't want to give too much away. Instagram Twitter

Estani Frizzell, affectionately known as Estani, is flourishing in her new home in Austin, Texas, as she continues to maximize all her pursuits as a singer, songwriter, and vocal coach. Initially based in Los Angeles, she fostered her unique vibe and capacity for effortlessly crafting hits that blend Latin, jazz, and other styles into her soulful productions. With no two tracks being similar and her unique sounds consistent abstraction of hard-hitting feelings that audiences latch onto naturally, this is what makes Estani's music second to none. Fixated upon the utter glory that her heartrending single, "I Sometimes Wish," embodies, we grasp onto the pure emotion that Estani sends through the sound waves. This protruding ballad has us experiencing the stellar vocal range that Estani emits. She professes heartfelt timbres that wrap you in a blanket of warmth and profoundness. As she showcases this newfound depth and vulnerability in her creations, we admire the poetic storytelling that lingers in each lyrical motif embedded into our minds. If you listen closely to the passionate wording conveyed, "I Sometimes Wish" has Estani placing her whirlwind of emotions on the table for all to hear. Coping with the unbearable nature of loss and grief, Estani allows us to step into her shoes and see that no time together or time to heal from such separation is ever enough. After losing five people near and dear to her over the past year, Estani wrote "I Sometimes Wish" to pay tribute and memorialize those who have passed on and joined heaven's precious angels. Using a 90s inspired instrumentation and writing style to express her thoughts and emotion, Estani has us under her mystical spell as we're entranced by her performance in "I Sometimes Wish." With a more stripped-down form of Estani's angelic vocals on display, we can guarantee you'll be left in a pool of your own sentiments as you immerse yourself in this vulnerable message. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Estani! Congratulations on the release of your latest single, "I Sometimes Wish." We admire your resilience in pursuing your goals after the heavy year you had. What inspired you to take your art to the next level and step in this vulnerable light? First of all, thank you for extending the opportunity to have me speak about my new single, I Sometimes Wish. I Sometimes Wish stemmed from the loss of a wonderful and very close friend. The last two years have been nothing short of traumatic for the planet and as a collective. Seeing so many people lose their loved ones to Covid (and just loss in general) and dealing with that pain on a public platform really put me in a helpless headspace at times. I found myself wanting to comfort but not being able to find the words. In essence, I offer condolences, but it never feels like enough. I decided after the death of my friend and her husband to put my feelings into song and hope that somehow the sentiment comes through and maybe, someone will play it when they can't find the right words to express what their feeling, and that this song, I Sometimes Wish, will be the words they need at that moment. What was it like on the set of "I Sometimes Wish"? What key moments made the filming and releasing process that much more rewarding? It was beautiful, sad, nostalgic, wonderful, and heartbreaking all at the same time. Small low key moments were really the moments that hit me the hardest. I was very specific with Abis, my videographer for the video, about what I visually wanted. For me, the moment when I'm writing in my journal, and we catch a slo-mo shot of me reaching for it, then writing in it, then looking around as if I'm looking for them to give me answers, really encompassed my emotional catharsis. I was literally crying on set while shooting, which made emoting a nonissue. It was already there. Looking through the footage of Jenni and Steve had the same effect. The first 10-15 seconds of dialogue get me every time. It's such a special private moment between the two and just so poignant and authentic. I still can't watch the beginning scene without feeling every emotion on the spectrum. At the end of the day, seeing all the DM's and emails I've received from people letting me know how this song touched them makes me realize how compelling a song can be for key moments in one's life. This is always the most rewarding part of any song release, and it certainly hits harder with this one. From the perseverance within yourself, what has kept you motivated through the trials and tribulations, you've gone through? I've always had this "thing" within myself since I was a little girl regarding trials and tribulations. I couldn't articulate it then, but I knew the harder the trial or tribulation, the harder I would fight against it and fight to come out on top. I love the feeling of knowing "I did it" or "I didn't let that obstacle bring me down ."It's a great victory to be able to have evidence from your life experience that you were able to do what people thought you couldn't, or you were able to overcome those challenges people thought would keep you down. It's probably strange to say, but in a weird way, I subconsciously welcome the trials and tribulations since I know it's another opportunity for me to get through to the other side and be proud that I never give up on myself or those I love. I do all I can to rise up and give the best of myself that I have to give. What advice do you have for those dealing with similar difficulties? What would you like "I Sometimes Wish" to say to your audience? The pain of loss never goes away, and yes, while time is a healer, it's not an eraser. You will never forget, you will never "move on," but you will begin to find comfort in the joy that was brought to your life when your loved ones were here. I Sometimes Wish homage to those who have crossed over by offering a memento of what we would've given up for their happiness if we could. The lyrics such as, "I Sometimes wish I were your heart, I'd live for you and ever stop ."Things that were maybe not expressed clearly in life can be now, and they can hear that, feel that, and listen. I thoroughly believe this and know in my heart that the people I've lost in my life are my angels guiding me. They hear us and now know our heart's true intentions. What's next for you? I love this question! Well, I'm in the final phase of a new project! I have a children's book coming out on 09/08/22. This will be my first project working with my daughter, and I couldn't be more proud. She is the illustrator of the book. Her illustrations were hand-drawn and are so amazing. I'm in LA right now recording the EP for the book and can't wait to share! Excited for this new chapter! • Goldthread Emits Rays Through A "Tiffany Skylight"

During the Coronavirus quarantine in spring 2020, Kaylene and Lauren of the band Keys and Corridors decided to take the plunge and change their name to Goldthread. Reflecting on two years of writing hits from Akron, Ohio, the group felt they had outgrown their original band name, wanting to embrace a new chapter that better aligned with their empowering musical talents and accomplishments. Goldthread's mass following of supporters welcomed this rebirth with open arms, and undoubtedly, the band has put it on display with their newest song, "Tiffany Skylight." Goldthread is what you would get if Coldplay and Paramore gave birth to a creative concept into the realm of dark pop and alternative rock. Along with their poignant female vocals and hypnotic guitar-driven instrumentals, what makes Goldthread unique is their deep, creative storytelling flooded with profound authenticity in each of their songs and videos. As we take our attention to the visual pairing that coincides with the beauty of "Tiffany Skylight," we're lost in a sea of edgy melodies that welcomes the band to full performance in an abandoned space with warm hues of lighting to give their audience familiarity to latch onto. The mesmerizing scenes are brought forth with contemporary dance that wistfully pulls you into an interpretive side of the artistry. With two masked performers exuding emotion as the ebb and flow of "Tiffany Skylight" carries forth, the filmic component excels with a film noir approach. The sonic element takes inspiration from a true story about a man so enthralled in a life of pretending grandeur and riches that he loses sight of what is truly important. In his own house, right above his empty ballroom, was a Tiffany Skylight worth more than his accrued debts. Seeing the solution before his eyes, his lack of gratitude and appreciation leaves him and his significant other growing apart. Still, the irony is that all the man's debts and resulting problems could vanish if he would put his materialism to rest. Absorbing the creativity that unravels before our eyes, Goldthread places the band's brilliance on display as they take us along on a meaningful journey of what happens when greed gets the best of you. Take "Tiffany Skylight" in for yourself on Goldthread's YouTube channel. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Goldthread! Before we get into this fantastic record that you should all be incredibly proud of, we'd love to chat about your name change and its significance. Could you please take us deeper into the insight behind this? A lot of thought went into our name change and rebrand. While our previous project still loves all of the music and memories that we carry, it just didn't feel like us anymore. Kaylene and I have grown so much as artists and as people. We've been playing music together for nearly ten years now, and our old name felt like it no longer reflected who we were. Plus, we were heading in a different direction musically – adding all of that together, it felt like the right time to retire Keys & Corridors and become Goldthread. Goldthread is inspired by this art form called kintsugi – the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. It's a beautiful idea that we are more lovely, valuable, and golden for going into those broken places and healing them. It's something I value as a person and something I try to weave into every story I tell. We love the entirety of "Tiffany Skylight." We look at it as an experience from the song to the video! Could you please share a glimpse into what it was like filming the music video for this record? The whole process of filming Tiffany Skylight was terrific. We knew that the visual of the skylight was crucial to giving the song the epic feel that we wanted, and Kaylene found the world's largest Tiffany Skylight in Chicago – so we had to get in there! We were so excited to have dancing as the critical visual underneath the skylight. Dance is such a beautiful expression of emotion, and the dancers did an incredible job choreographing a "push and pull" dynamic. Overall it looked stunning. I wouldn't change a thing. Are there any key people who have played a role in bringing "Tiffany Skylight" to life? How have they been able to elevate the experience? Everyone involved was terrific to work with, especially Mercedes Arn-Horn (director) – she CRUSHED it. She is so visually creative, and she brought so many ideas to life. I'll never forget watching her design the masks that the dancers wore – she did all of that herself, from choosing the mask shapes, painting on the gold, distressing the masks in just the right ways. It really felt like those small details tied the story together. She just pours so much passion into everything that she does – and it makes you believe in yourself too, having someone like that in your corner, encouraging you, and bringing out your best. I can't wait to work on the next video with her! ;) In your own words, what would you like your audience to take away from this masterpiece? Masterpiece, I'll take it! Hahaha. I think what we like the most about this song and this story is that on its surface, it's just a love song…but when you really dive into the lyrics and the story we tried to convey through the dancers, there's something much more nuanced, more sinister. There's a darkness in this song. The lyrics may seem like it's a happy couple at first, but they're desperate. They're conniving. They're using each other. This relationship is a toxic one. When people watch and listen, I hope that they see the layers underneath the surface and really catch what we were trying to say. We took the voice of someone pursuing wealth and status above all else, someone trying to mask their insecurity and desperation, to portray what the cycle of an abusive relationship can look like. What's next? We are so excited to start recording again! We have a lot of ideas that we can't wait to weave together. It's been so encouraging releasing this first EP. We can't wait to start the cycle over and share the next set of stories with you. INSTAGRAM YOUTUBE

  • K. Epps And His Goals "Gotta Go" To The Top

The multifaceted talents of K. Epps have him exploring the musical avenues of being a singer, songwriter, rap artist, and producer. One opportunity away from blowing the roof off the music industry, it was at 12-years-old that his interest in music began to take off by watching hip hop ciphers and battle rap. K. Epps has said, "Music is a form of therapy. Expressing my truth through music is therapeutic; it liberates and challenges me to grow as an artist and person." Despite being a prolific emcee, K. Epps had a growing passion for R&B. Resonating with songs that his parents would play from artists such as Anita Baker, Sade, and Stevie Wonder to name a few, he eventually began utilizing his rap skills and singing voice as he gives a light-hearted, assertive, heartfelt, and at times aggressive style of delivery in his music. As we grasp the upbeat and vibrant essence of K. Epps' latest single, "Gotta Go," we hear how the essence of his skill set meshes with mainstream appeal. As we fixate our eyes on the lyrically charged song's music video component, we recognize the playfulness that K. Epps holds onto as he professes his goals and ambitions to his audience. With constant motion overtaking the entirety of your screen, K. Epps has us on the hook as we're witness to him escaping anything tying him down and stopping him from reaching his pinnacles. Through the variety of scenes depicted, whether K. Epps is on the beach or running through his neighborhood from the police, his drive remains intact, and his character upholds the greatness he has set out for. With metaphors chalking up the messaging reiterated, it is no surprise that K. Epps' fan base is with him for the long haul. We love just how we can hear the south-inspired artistry of his vocal delivery touch on his lyrical influences of Ludacris. While expressing his struggles and passions on the pursuit of happiness with witty wordplay and mixes of melodies and harmonies, K. Epps will continue to dominate the world of hip-hop with his mesmerizing persona. Welcome to BuzzMusic, K. Epps! Congratulations on the release of your music video for "Gotta Go." What inspired the witty concept we see in the visuals, and how does this tie into the lyrics you perform? The song itself was inspired by just being tired of feeling like my time is being wasted & the frustration of me not using discernment. You know, dealing with people that "beat around the bush." & tired of hearing what someone claims they have and what they're doing and not seeing any results from what's being said. No one likes the feeling of false hopes. As far as the visuals, I wanted to find a fun, creative way to express the term "Gotta Go," which can be looked at in more than one way. So throughout the video, I'm constantly on the move. I'm constantly on the go. You know, I "Gotta Go" based on the circumstances I need to move. The visuals tie in with lyrics in a way where you feel like your environment is becoming too tense you "Gotta Go," when you feel like time is being wasted you "Gotta Go," And bringing those two perspectives together with words & visuals was fun to do. How important is it for you to be vulnerable about your aspirations in the music you create? I have come to realize. It's very important. It's not always easy for me because being vulnerable is very uncomfortable & something I'm still getting used to. But the experience taught me that when you start from a place of truth, whether it's vulnerable or not, that's when you begin to grow. Being vulnerable is an ingredient of being honest & honesty is a strong foundation for growth. Tryna grows & builds off of lies you'll only get but so high before that weak foundation comes falling down. And the successful artists I look at today all have that vulnerability in their music & it's felt. So if I'm going to achieve the goals I have with music, I have to express who I am, where I am, & how I feel, you know...the ups with the downs. And as human beings, we all feel the same emotions, & expressing them in music is a way to connect with people. What was it like on the set of "Gotta Go?" How did your team help you achieve the vision you set out for? Being on set for "Gotta Go" was a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Anytime I'm shooting a music video for a song of mine, I like people to feel relaxed and have a good time. And how I go about it is giving each person a heads up well in advance of what's expected of them.. so they're not feeling bombarded at the last minute. And I talk light-heartedly about it too. I'm often open to ideas that they may have to make them feel more included... & possibly improve my original thoughts. When everyone is having a good time, It's hard to suck at having fun. So I make a conscious effort to create a fun environment while we're still getting work done. But the team helped out by being on time to the set by pushing themselves to execute each role they portrayed. If they knew they could do better, they would want another shot at doing another take. And I always appreciate that kind of effort. What would you like your audience to take away from the central message of "Gotta Go?" To use discernment. To be completely honest with yourself. If you're in an environment with a bunch of liars, don't become one. Change your environment. Don't waste time. Our thoughts and actions get us closer to what we want or push us further away from it. If you see a situation that is pushing you further away from your goals...you "Gotta Go," leave. Change your course and get back on the right path. What's next for you? To bring more awareness to my music. The project is dropping soon "E.P.P.S pt.1 The Vision" May 2022 & to continue to grow as an artist and as a person. To live my beliefs & connect with more people. KingDarius TheGreat (Darius Stanely) saw vast success with hip-hop groups and writing songs for artists that reached the Billboard Hot 100. Now teaming up with the Atlanta-based recording artist and supreme vocalist Aria Marie, who worked with names like Jazze Pha, 2 Chainz, and more, both KingDarius TheGreat and Aria Marie present a song for the soul entitled "Self Love (Frequency)." Free yourself of negativity and raise your vibration with some inspiration from KingDarius TheGreat and Aria Marie's new single, "Self Love (Frequency)," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, KingDarius TheGreat. We genuinely admire the honest and uplifting approach you've taken in your recent single with Aria Marie, "Self Love (Frequency)." What inspired the creation of this empowering hit? There were a few things that inspired me when creating this song. One is the fact that in the hip-hop world, we've lost many talented artists at the hands of senseless violence, something I feel like a community of entertainers we need to do better at controlling one's emotions and choosing alternative ways to handle differences as well as surrounding ourselves with positive people who genuinely want to see us succeed. I also used this song as an opportunity to pay my respects to my uncle, who recently passed away but was one of my biggest supporters, and my Grandfather, who passed away as well and was one of my biggest influences in terms of my knowledge and versatility within the music. Finally, the overall status of our country, our world, could always use a facelift in the love department. Without love for ourselves as individuals, we cannot exhibit love towards others, something our planet is in desperate need of. And music is a vibrational tool, Self Love (Frequency) is my way of putting out some much-needed positivity into the atmosphere. Was this your first time working with the skilled vocalist Aria Marie? What do you feel she brought to the table in "Self Love (Frequency)"? Yes, it was my first time working with Aria Marie, and I must say it was Love at First Session. Lol, and I mean that from a creative artistic standpoint. She exceeded expectations by not just bringing the chorus to life but adding a style and grace that only a spiritually inclined individual could deliver. Her presence in the studio was that of a queen reigning over her pastures and territory, and I was totally honored to bear witness to such greatness. What was your songwriting process like for "Self Love (Frequency)"? Was it easy for you to create such inspirational and cohesive bars? As I eluded to earlier, I was driven by some very inspiring topics when it came to this record. So when the inspiration level is as high as it was for me, it makes the writing process very free-flowing yet guided through the power of the ancestors and the make-up of the universe. What was the core message in "Self Love (Frequency)" that you wanted listeners to realize and understand? How did you want the single to impact your audience? Speaking not only for myself but Aria Marie as well, we just really want our audience to realize that being positive and exhibiting love, to yourself first and foremost, then to others, can make all of our human experiences much more enjoyable for our duration on this planet. If the majority of us can grasp this rather simple concept and understanding, we can move mountains of negativity and replace them with an abundance of Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom, and Justice for all parties involved. What's next for you? Next for me, I have some very exciting features coming with some very prestigious artists, so everyone is on the lookout for those records. Also, the full-length video for Self Love (Frequency) will be released to the public soon as well. I, along with Aria Marie, have solo projects on the horizon and quiet as kept maybe even a joint project for the both of us. Shhhhh All in all, I'm just going to continue to be productive as an artist, and a writer in my field of choice and expertise called the music industry. SOCIALS

  • Dive Into STEEN'S Single And Video, "Fun To Mental"

Our favorite new siblings' duo STEEN uses a combination of eclectic sonics of socially mixed with their deep cultural palette. They created a sound and style that is truly unique to them. STEEN carries each other with radiant intensity and charisma, emulating music icons such as David Bowie and Iggy Pop. STEEN maintains a local grit that one finds in social legends such as the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Sublime, and also today's contemporary LA artists such as Odd Future and Brockhampton, which are all huge inspirations for STEEN. As we dive into their new single, "Fun To Mental," we are excited to see what they have brought to the table this time. As we enter the world through their eyes, the video starts off with someone who comes to work their regular job and decides to have fun regardless of how tiresome it can be. With their electric guitars, they make a start with lyrics like " I was never the same, but I went for the rest" and "If I keep saying all the things that I want" they show us that their lyrics are more than just that, it allows the listener to think a bit further and actually listen to what they are portraying. The video is really a fantastic piece of art through and through. STEEN is as unique as it comes. They show us that the most straightforward idea turns into the artsiest formed video. They continue to talk about how things turned from fun to mental in such a short space in time. STEEN and their distinctive sound, eccentric cadences, and artist view on the song present us with artistry we don't see often. Welcome to BuzzMusic STEEN. We are so excited to have you join us today! What was the inspiration behind the music video for "Fun To Mental," and how did you choose the title? Inspiration is in the title.. we wanted something cuckoo and wild. What better way than bad ghosts beating the sh** out of Mr. janitor who wishes he was a music star? The title is a kick at real life, the industry. It all seems like fun and games until you get kicked in the face. How was the process of creating the scenes for the music video, and what was it like shooting and getting everyone together? The process was really a big "ha-ha" moment for Zay & Mikey, my brothers who got to see "Ghosts" go to work. We wanted one taker, so we did that do all of our own visuals in-house, just our close tribe three dudes. Setup the cam and do a few long 1 takes… that's the video. We're getting better and better. Do you have a specific process when creating music? If yes, what is that process, and how long does it usually take to perfect what you create? Ya, for sure. We do a couple of rounds of shadow boxing… may be put on the UFC fights at the tree (studio we work out of), then Justin Raisen dances around. Pluck a couple of bass notes some days. It's a quick process, seriously. As a duo, what are the challenges you sometimes face, and what is one of the best moments you've had? The biggest challenge is getting zaystrange to like me most days. He's tough. More brothers should start a band —- The best moment is performing at Hewes & orchard hills middle school in front of 1000 students in Orange County. We love the kids.. especially back home. They're our inspo. What's next for you? More and more fun, chaotic, rule-breaking music and visuals. 2022 is going to be a treat. INSTAGRAM

I'm also thankful to my team Demetrius Guidry and Rodney Crews from Atlas Elite Entertainment, for their continuest support of me and my career. What drives you, and what advice would you give someone who wants to stick around for as long as you have? What drives me is the passion and love I have for what I do, which is writing, recording, and putting out good music for my fans. If you don't have the passion for this, you will quit along the way because it's not in you to continue if it's not the love of what you do. I love my fans, and I have grown over the years. I continue with what I do, and my fans also keep me going. They always ask me when I am putting out something new! I love it when I receive emails from my fans and when I post about something, and they reply. It makes me so happy. I will have to say to those who want to get into this music business that you have to decide why do you want to do this. If it's just for the fame and to be rich, you may be trying for a long time because this does not happen overnight, and you have to decide whether you want to do this because you love to sing and share your talent or because you see all the others that have made it big, to be like them. It isn't easy, although it may seem like it is. But social media can help if you know how to react to your audience and with kindness, always be kind to your fans. That's so important because you can lose your audience if you don't treat them right. Having talent is one thing, but treating your fans with love by your response is the biggest thing to me that is so important because they will stick with you if you do. What's next for you? Answer: What's next is my upcoming new album, "The Best of Angel Sessions R&B coming on March 25th. I am very excited to be releasing this album because it has been two years since I have released my last album called Joy. I will see what God has in store for my life, so until then, be on the lookout for my new album, which will have 18 songs on it. INSTAGRAM

  • Lone Deer Laredo Says The "Easy Road," Isn't Always The Right Road

Soaring in from Helsinki is the blissful and talented duo Lone Deer Laredo with their latest album, 'Lone Deer Laredo Vol.2,' featuring the lead single, "Easy Road." Lone Deer Laredo comprises Paola Suhonen (Ivana Helsinki) and Olli Happonen (New Silver Girl), who have been recording their recent tunes in Nashville alongside legendary producer Brad Jones (Dolly Parton). Having made quite some noise in both Finland and Sweden, Lone Deer Laredo is taking their tunes to North America, where we're sure they'll be much appreciated. Recently dropping their 9-track album, 'Lone Deer Laredo Vol. 2,' this authentic and dynamic record features the skilled musicianship of the Helsinki-based group while traveling into the 50s and 60s innocence alongside their melancholic Scandanavian roots and vibrant 70s pop. The lead single, "Easy Road," offers more of a laidback and introspective Fleetwood Mac style that's truly exceptional. Expanding on the single, "Easy Road," the experience opens with a warm and reflective alt-country instrumental that begins the song with this lush and tender ambiance. As Paola's breathy and bright vocals begin pouring through our speakers, she softly serenades us with the utmost introspection, reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac's heart-string-tugging tunes. There's a certain haziness and haunting appeal that comes with this song's tender and ghostly melodies, and Lone Deer Laredo's lyrics are nothing short of a mental journey through life's trials and tribulations. We truly adore how easy this song is to listen to, and what's just as captivating is Lone Deer Laredo's nostalgic performance that easily takes us back a few decades in music history. You take the high road, and we'll take the "Easy Road" with help from Lone Deer Laredo's latest 9-track album, 'Lone Deer Laredo Vol. 2,' now available on all streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Lone Deer Laredo. You've left us captivated with your recent conceptual and reflective single, "Easy Road." Does this song fit into your new album's overall concept and vibe, 'Lone Deer Laredo Vol. 2'? Easy Road is the first song for us that has a little 50's vibe and feel in it. When our great producer Brad Jones heard the song, he told us that it brings his thoughts to prom, which is quite amazing since we don't have that tradition in Finland. But we think it still fits pretty well with other songs, too, and gives us the courage to do something like that in the future too. What inspired the lyrical content within "Easy Road"? What did you want the listener to take away from your words? It is a song about bad relationships where the storyteller suffers from being the one who makes all possible and shines and ends up with empty hands. She carries the fire but never has the opportunity to shine since the other side runs away. All she has, in the end, is the pen and the paper and melodies and her story. What sort of listening experience did you want to provide with "Easy Road"? What did you want to make your audience feel when experiencing this piece? A kind of mixture of 50's styled pop songs that has a universal topic when it comes to lyrics. Something that is at the same time really personal but also universal in the sense that anybody who has ever been either one of the characters (good or bad) could relate to it. We think it is pretty catchy too and makes you want to dance a little bit. What does 'Lone Deer Laredo Vol. 2' mean to you? How does it reflect your duo's personal experiences and moments? It means quite literally, in our opinion, the kind of music that is lacking from this planet right now. Album-orientated music…It is a really personal road trip for us and presents stop number two. Our odyssey still has five stops to go. So you will not get rid of us that easily. What's next for you? We'll head back to Nashville to record album number three on Autumn. Before that string of gigs, hopefully! Instagram

  • Chris Hart Wants To Know, "Are You There?"

Taking his talents from South Florida to Atlanta is producer, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Chris Hart, who recently released a treat for the years with his new single, "Are You There?." When Hart first started learning his way around the guitar at the mere age of ten, learning by ear was the only way to achieve the sounds of his influences like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and AC/DC. After moving to Atlanta, Hart began exploring more melodic r&b and jazz-like approaches to broaden his horizons. The self-taught musician and producer takes immense pride in complex chords and arrangements, which listeners can hear in his latest single, "Are You There?." This song is a bright, anthemic, and high-energy experience that sings of wondering if someone really cares for you after all the confusion and turmoil they've sent your way. The new single, "Are You There?" kicks open with a bright and filtered electric guitar riff that quickly breaks down into a dreamy and beachy sonic atmosphere where each instrumental brings its own vibrant and rich flair. Listening to Chris Hart's energetic and charismatic vocal delivery, he expands on those confusing moments where he questions if a lover really cares for his wellbeing and time. We admire how Hart opens his heart within his conceptual and emotional lyrical content but blasts through our speakers with wailing electric guitar melodies and tightly-wound alternative-rock instrumentals to keep the energy high and mighty. Taking us to the outro, Hart brings us around the anthemic hook one last time while sending us off on our journeys to clarity. Ask the questions that really matter with some inspiration from Chris Hart's latest single, "Are You There?" now available on all digital streaming platforms. We love the relatable meaning and high-energy groove within your new single, "Are You There?." What experiences inspired you to create a song about love's confusing moments? Thanks for having me! For me, this song isn't about romantic love, or at least that's not where my head was when I wrote it. My wife and I have actually been together since we were in high school! This song to me was more about the feeling of loneliness or abandonment that I get when thinking about people or friends who I used to be really close to and now I just don't hear from anymore. There are people who you think will just be in your life forever, and you don't realize at the moment that over time people grow and change and their priorities just shift away from each other. It's just part of getting older and it happens to everyone, but it can be a terrible feeling when you're scrolling through Instagram or something and you think, "wow I haven't talked to this person in like a year and we used to hang out every day." And it's not one person's fault over the other, it's just what happens gradually sometimes. It definitely happens romantically all the time, although that's usually a more dramatic change. I'm glad that the song can be interpreted that way too! It means I did a good enough job at not making it TOO specific to myself. That feeling of abandonment can land anywhere on the platonic to romantic spectrum. I think what I was trying to get at is that when you look back on those relationships, and you see where things are now, it's hard not to wonder if your relationship/friendship was ever real at all or if it was actually a result of convenience or something along those lines instead. Why did you want "Are You There?" to deliver this exciting and energetic sonic experience, even though your lyrics take on a more emotional and confused approach? I think that's just the way I write! if you were to look at my music projects and compare them to my notes and lyric books you'd probably think it was from two different artists. To me, faster music is more exciting to make. I like to sit behind the computer and bob my head along. But for whatever reason, the lyrics that come to my head always have some twinge of sadness or confusion. I think it's just the way I think about the world. We live in an era where we're more connected than ever but it can be very overwhelming and isolating, so those thoughts are more present in my mind. Writing happier lyrics feels kind of contrived to me sometimes like I'm not being honest. I also write lyrics independently of the actual instrumental parts. It's a little backward, but lyrics come to me sporadically throughout my life, and instrumental music-making is more of a start-to-finish type of thing where one idea can blossom into a whole song pretty quickly. I'll have a whole track laid out before I even think of lyrics for it. But I think having an upbeat song with more down lyrics makes for an interesting experience for people. And I think the process of making music like that is a way for me to cope and get through my own issues when I'm feeling depressed or anxious. Since I produce everything myself, it's a fun challenge trying to get my sadder lyrics to mesh well with a funky pop song or a rock song like "Are You There?" I'm definitely not the only artist who does this, but who knows? Maybe it'll become one of my trademarks or something. Which genres and sounds would you say you're most comfortable performing? Where would you say "Are You There?" lies on that spectrum? I'm most comfortable performing funk and R&B music. It's right in my wheelhouse. Guitar is my main instrument, and I love laying down a rhythm part and just blending into the band. You get your chance to do solos and show off a little also, but then you just fall right back into that pocket with the group. "Are You There?" is a bit of departure from that for me. It's more straight-ahead rock music than I usually play but there is a groove underneath that you can definitely dance to. Going forward, I think I'll probably blend a little more into the funk and R&B sound again. It's a style of music that I know myself and listeners can have a lot of fun with. The projects I've started since finishing this song are more in that lane so I'm not going to fight that instinct. I'm still early enough in my career that I can try different things and see what gets people interested, which is really exciting. What was your main goal in terms of the experience you wanted to offer listeners when hitting play on "Are You There?" What did you want them to feel or realize? I definitely wanted them to feel the energy right away. It starts with this jangly guitar riff that I tried to make sound almost like a ringtone like someone's calling you and it's about to get real. Then the song just takes off. "Are You There?" is really catchy and I think the sadder and kind of angry lyrics might catch people off guard. It's like a danceable breakup song. I want people to feel that this song has tension and release in it between the verses and the choruses. The way that the main guitar has the same rhythm throughout has this buildup effect that kind of explodes when the chorus kicks in. I want people to feel that, and more importantly, I want people to listen to the lyrics and recognize that everybody has felt that loss or loneliness to some degree. You're childhood best friend, your first love, your family, etc. Whatever it may be, not everybody is in your life forever, and there's a real intense emotion that comes with realizing that. There are a lot of questions that you probably have, and when they don't get answered you can start to feel like no one is listening at all. It's a more relatable song than I realized when I first started writing it. What's next for you? I'm working on a few more songs at the moment! I want to release 3-4 more songs before the end of the year so I can put a setlist together and hopefully try to start playing some shows with my own music. I play in a few bands around Atlanta but I'm ready to start doing my own thing and getting myself out there even more. This year is all about productivity, so I want to hit the ground running! • Fragile Like "Flower Glass," An Old Friend Pulls On Our Heartstrings

Sometimes a feeling becomes so powerful that it breathes into the realm of psychedelia. With it pulling the possessor of the emotion into an almost dreamlike state, you might catch some of those hallucinatory vibrations yourself if you're in proximity to someone overwhelmed by feeling. The multifaceted band An Old Friend hails from Long Island with its supreme rock sound that evokes emotion and thought. When singer Cody Kohler feeds into his ability to be a conduit of mighty emotional forces, it's when he sings that he allows himself to be swept away by a torrent of sentiment. Naturally, he expects his music to have the same effect on his listeners. As we delve into the poetic soundscape of the most recent single to come from An Old Friend, we find ourselves arriving at the intoxicating sonic and visual pairing for "Flower Glass." Fixated upon the amber and cyan color scheme of the visuals that are further enhanced by the mesmerizing color grading, there's a euphoric sense of ease that powerfully protrudes our minds. We get the pleasure of latching onto imagery of the band performing with grace and impact as members slowly start to disparate into the air amongst themselves. Playing into a metaphor for "Flower Glass," we're exposed to phenomena beyond human understanding; color out of space, in other words. "Flower Glass" is addressed to a compatriot who remains complacent, taking shelter in nostalgia, slumber, and the methods of the past. With croons that emit an empowering cry for poetic lyrical motifs, the brilliance that unravels is rather riveting in what "Flower Glass" has to offer An Old Friend's audience. Teasing a forthcoming album as they introduce us to the most transcendent version of themselves yet, the versatile and inspired band will have you falling deep into your adventurous emo, atmospheric post-rock, mesmerizing modern prog, and anthemic ballad dreams. You do an excellent job at transporting us to the emotion you desire in "Flower Glass." With visuals that immerse us in the mystery and natural flow of hardships, what moment or story inspired the lyrical message in this song? We genuinely appreciate those words. Our job is done if we make you feel something while listening. The inspiration behind "Flower Glass" comes from a compilation of experiences, whether the daily battles we all face or the existential questioning that our intrapersonal conversations hold; essentially, we would say it's all open for interpretation to the listener. However, as long as the listener is taken to a place while listening, it is all that matters. What were the intentions of An Old Friend when constructing the concept for the visuals for this record? The intentions were to mess with lighting, try and visually represent a feeling of dreamy nostalgia. We lucked out having Tom Flynn direct this one again, as he always does our music justice. Also, our location was killer. The flower wall was fitting to the song. Could you please share a glimpse of what it was like on set creating this enticing amber and cyan storyline? First off, shooting this video was a breeze, probably one of the more cohesive shoots we have done. We lucked out with lighting, this spot had big loft windows that brought in plenty of amber light during golden hour, and director Tom Flynn had an arsenal of lighting that helped accentuate the second half of the shoot at night. It was all fitting for the motions of the song. With such a broad spectrum of influence playing into your sound, what non-musical inspirations do you allow to speak into the music you craft? Besides the cliche of saying "life" & "experiences," we are all artistically devoted to something besides music, which may not influence the music per se, but allows us to balance our creativity. Frank is heavily into glass blowing and has an online shop. He makes a ton of cool pieces and customs for people. ( https://www.etsy.com/shop/jambiart/ ) Cory actually runs and owns a print shop (http://www.redshedprintshop.com ) creating custom merch for restaurants, companies, and bands, Cody dabbles with photography quite a bit (IG: @efcoast ) And Eddy is an actual scientist, currently studying neuroscience and in a doctorate program. What's next for you? Still have a bunch more to release. Hopeful of getting back into playing around to feel that connection again. SOCIALS
