  • Dave Cavalier Sparks A Flame With His New Single, "The Hold"

Taking his talents from his native Chicago to sunny Los Angeles is a singer-songwriter, musician, and award-winning film composer Dave Cavalier who recently released his lead single, "The Hold," from his forthcoming debut album, 'Civillianaire.' Dave Cavalier's sound has drawn comparisons to Jack White and Robert Palmer from outlets like The Huffington Post, with Billboard attesting that he has some of the "greatest tracks you've never heard of." The Berklee College of Music graduate took his talents to Hollywood, where he's shared billings with Eddie Vedder, Don Henley, Kendrick Lamar, and many more. Now, Cavalier is set to release his upcoming debut album, 'Civillianaire,' on March 18, 2022, starting the venture with his exciting lead single, "The Hold." This thrilling banger is a dynamic piece of sonic mastery that displays the trials and tribulations of realizing a lover is gone for good, but Cavalier turns that experience into something far more exciting and cathartic. Peeling back the first layers of "The Hold," we're met with a chilled piano and a sample of a lively restaurant, but it doesn't take long for Dave Cavalier to take over with darkness and drive. Once his airy and powerful drums start to pump, the recording artist sets the scene with his ominous and haunting vocal delivery while the screeching guitars lift us towards the hook. Dave Cavalier's dynamic performance in this track is captivating, and what's just as thrilling is the gritty and edgy rock instrumentals that give listeners a sonic reminder of the strength and power within. Although his lyrics drift from sadness to anger, the overall listening experience provides this overwhelming cathartic journey that flushes all the unwanted energy out of our system. Feel the burn and "The Hold" in Dave Cavalier's latest single, and find his debut album, 'Civillianaire,' on all streaming platforms come March 18. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Dave Cavalier. We're thrilled with the overall experience you've provided on your recent hit, "The Hold." During which moments or experiences did you feel inspired to create this piece? Over the pandemic, I think a lot of us went through some pretty significant, personal shifts in our lives. I took a lot of time to focus on myself, investing in a number of different areas like building a home studio and taking on sobriety. Musically, "The Hold" was a culmination of about a year and a half of producing songs I thought nobody would ever hear, and lyrically, it was a way for me to cope and make sense of the transition I was making into a much healthier lifestyle. It was a confusing time, but also the simplification of life, to an extent, really helped me focus on myself, which was what I hoped was conveyed through the music. Seeing that your lyrics in "The Hold" are rather emotional, why did you choose to create such a high-energy and exciting instrumental? When I think of "The Hold," I genuinely envision a battle or a war because that was exactly how I felt at the time in terms of dealing with my personal issues. There was a tension and looming darkness of this invisible thing that had this literal hold on my emotions and directed a lot of my actions, most of which I wasn't really proud of, and I struggled with that. I was combating it every single day, and "The Hold" was an attempt to make sense of that really complicated time, like a snapshot of the fight. What sort of listening experience did you want to offer your audience when listening to "The Hold?" What did you want them to feel and take away? Sometimes simply acknowledging somebody's pain by acknowledging your own shared experience is just as valuable as offering solutions. "The Hold" doesn't provide any solutions, but I like to think if you're enduring a similar struggle, the sound and feel of that track will connect with you. I hope it helps those listeners feel just a little more understood and part of a larger community of people who can empathize. For those who don't have that personal experience, I hope it helps to tell my story deeper. Why did you want "The Hold" to be the lead single off your upcoming debut album, 'Civillianaire?' How does this single prepare us for the project? For this record, I didn't have any interest in leading with a "hit" necessarily. I wanted to focus on a track that people would find interesting instead. "The Hold" travels a lot of different places sonically in a very short amount of time, it sounds epic, but it doesn't take eight minutes to get you there. We tell our friends about new things that pique our interest in unique ways, and I hope listeners will feel similarly about this music. Thematically, this particular story is the cornerstone to where all the others derive from. The album itself has highs and lows, but each song is in some way connected to my journey overcoming this obstacle, so it only made sense to showcase the song that represented that struggle best. • Join Us On An Encouraging Journey With Mike Habhab And His Debut Single, “I Ain’t Giving Up”

Mike Habhab is a singer and songwriter originally from Troy, Michigan. Mike, like most artists, started creating music to have a creative outlet for his feelings and experiences. With his compelling new song and his strong message, there are definitely lessons you and I could take away from this record. Habhab says his debut single "I Ain't Giving Up" is about the past and how he was so negative yet still trying to stay positive. It's also about not giving up on his marriage with his wife, Dana. "We were going through a rough time and I wrote this song to tell her how I feel and to let her know everything would work out." "I Ain't Giving Up" takes us through a powerful journey as it talks about not giving up, even when you feel like there's no hope. "I Ain't Giving Up's" soft melodic cadences, powerful yet believable vocals, and uplifting messages give us light and encourage us in ways we will never forget. "I Ain't Giving Up" takes us on a trip and the exact one we want to be on, that gets us to our destination safely but also helps us overcome some of those same fears Mike mentions in the song. We really enjoyed this "I Ain't Giving Up," with so many takeaways, this track is bound to leave an impression on anyone that presses play, so don't delay and listen today. Congratulations on your latest single, "I Ain't Giving Up." Other than your past experiences, what inspired you to create this record, and how did you get in touch with all the collaborators to turn it into success? I have always wanted to sing and was always writing poems for others. I was too nervous when it came to singing, and I did not think I would be good enough. As I am older now, I realized that I should at least try, if not for myself, then for our son and to show him to never give up on his dream. My inspiration for the record is based on my life experiences and what I have been through in the past, and the current situation in my life. I got in touch with Pearl Sound Studios with the information that was online, and I took a chance and called. My wife and I met with Chuck Alkazian (producer) and Zach Radcliff (vocals), where they talked about the process and what needed to be done. From there, I started to write my songs or my thoughts; whatever was going on in my head. When they were ready, Chuck and Zach did their magic which was great because they helped me to focus. What have you learned throughout your life that has helped you in your creative process? I have learned and still learning some hard lessons. I need to try to stop always being or thinking negatively and to try to have a better outlook and think more positively. Writing helps with that. It is a great outlet. Also, while I was writing, I was taking vocal lessons to help prepare me for future recordings and to get over my fear of public singing. I have had to work hard to get the outcome that I desire and how to come up with the plan to write and go to the studio to get it done. You released "I Ain't Giving Up" with the Lyric Video, which shows us emotion at its finest. How did you come up with the video concept for it? The video concept was all the designer's ideas from Ignite. I gave them a few suggestions, and they created a great lyric video that matched the theme of the song. We loved the feeling this record brought. Will you be creating records similar to this, or do you see yourself branching out in the future? I do plan on writing and making more music videos and trying to get over my nervousness and sing a few songs myself with a similar feel. All my future writing will still be based on my life because I am sure there are others who feel or go through the same things that I do. I want to give a strong message that there is hope, and I want my music to be an outlet to express myself. What's next for you? Keep writing, get back into the studio, and see where this journey takes me. Instagram Facebook

  • Join Us As We Get Lost In JOA’s New Hit Single, “By All Means”

JOA is a recording artist and producer from Atlanta, GA, who was immersed in music at a young age, memorizing every lyric and melody to his VHS collection of Disney Sing-A-Longs. At the age of 10, he picked up the guitar and never looked back. JOA formed his own band and began gigging while still in middle school. Jesse found his love for recording at 15 when his mom gave him a multi-track cassette recorder and he began to demo his ideas. At 19, he joined a touring rock band, Travisty Theory, and shared the stage with acts such as Sevendust, Lifehouse, Hoobastank, and Cypress Hill. This experience fueled the fire for recording again and soon after, he and his father built a studio in Atlanta, where he produced local bands. JOA began self-producing his own records, releasing them under the moniker “Like Clockwork," and landed his first major-label gig at age 23. JOA’s new single “By All Means” displays his experience and pure love and understanding for music and storytelling. “By All Means” opens up with an authentic arrangement of synths, chords, and keys that capture our ears right away. We bob our heads as JOA’s warm vocals welcome us into an intimate and conflicted love story. As the dynamic song progresses, hard-hitting drums come in hitting our souls as we begin to belt out JOA’s lyrics “By All Means!”. This is the kind of record that describes a situation perfectly. A toxic sort of romance to which many of us can relate to. “By All Means” has all of the ingredients of a successful hit record. It’s one of those songs that come on the radio to which you feel an instant connection. The catchy melodies and poetic, heartfelt lyrics mixed with JOA’s energetic pop/rock performance have us hooked. Welcome to BuzzMusic, JOA. We adore the story and energy of your new hit single, "By All Means." What moment or feeling inspired you to create this record? "By All Means" is very much based on actual events. I was coming from a deeply hurt place, and though it may sound as if the song is centered around being angry or spiteful, my intention was pure, honest, and coming from a place of love. I was disappointed and heartbroken, but I truly wanted to see this person be happy, no matter what it took. In that, I realized an even deeper sentiment which was that I sincerely loved someone. I knew my love for them was absolute and without conditions, and while it was going to devastate me, I had to let them go. The old cliche is true. I wanted to find the most sincere, polite, and loving way to tell someone to "get lost" - and I believe I achieved that here. "We always said that we'd be honest if we ever felt we needed more-" this line is a conversation starter! What was your writing process like? Was it difficult to capture this story in writing, or did it all just flow out naturally? This one flowed out of me very easily. I find that the more honest I can be, the easier it is to capture. I think I wrote the whole song in about 15 minutes. What advice do you have for someone who's caught up in a toxic situation? Try to focus on moving forward and realize that when someone hurts you when the damage is done, the pain is only perpetuated by your own willingness to suffer. Let the past be the past, take whatever can be learned from the situation, and apply it to a brighter future. If possible, try to surround yourself with friends and the people who love you. Try to avoid self-medicating. Though it may seem easier to do so in the short term, experiencing and feeling all of the emotions that come with a breakup will allow you to move on faster and stronger in the long run and with more clarity. I have been sober for almost nine years, and I am so grateful that I faced this situation head-on without any substances. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to endure, but I felt every ounce of it, and have now integrated it into the very core of my being, and will use this experience to make better decisions that will inevitably (and hopefully) allow me to trust my intuition more and avoid situations like this in the future. You have an impressive and intriguing resume! Having worked with so many industry professionals, has that "dream collaboration" already happened for you? If yes, who was it with? and if not, who would you like it to be with? Thank you! I really believe that every collaboration I have had the opportunity to participate in - is a dream come true. I'm living my dream by making music for a living. I am so grateful that I have been able to work and learn from such talented people, and I look forward to doing even more of that in the future. What's next for you? I have several things in the works, including an acoustic album, new songs from my band World Is Watching, and a JOA "concept" album that is manifesting itself and has been for years. I continue to produce for other artists with Jan Smith here at Jan Smith Studios in Atlanta, and I'm looking forward to spending a lot more time outside this year, hiking and backpacking. Drillani is a talented Colombian hip-hop musician who is continuing to spread his talents throughout the music industry as an artist, performer, and owner of Kizzapp Record Label. Due to his astounding musical creations and dedication to music, the young rapper has quickly made a name for himself in the underground music industry and will stop at nothing to advance his career. The key component separating Drillani from several other young artists in his field is his uncanny grit and determination to take advantage of every opportunity that crosses his path. In an interview with YouTuber, Nizzy, Drillani expressed his early dreams of becoming a recording artist and stated that “nobody took me serious when I started music, so I gave them a reason to take me seriously.” Apart from his relentless determination for success, Drillani also exhibits exceptional talent with his music and concert performances that have captivated the hearts of his young fans who he refers to as, “his twins.” Before his rise to fame as an artist, Drillani began as a bedroom producer in early 2021 and was infatuated with music production and vocal engineering. However, after witnessing several producers rise to fame as artists such as Pi’erre Bourne and Kanye West, Drillani proceeded to release his first song in August 2021, “Misterio” and the rest is history. The musical potential for rapper Drillani is off the charts due to his versatility with tracks of different genres, styles, and sounds and consistency with releasing music. Since the release of his first album, “Epitome of Imperfection!, Vol. 1,” the young artist has dropped an onslaught of different singles ranging from bouncy, electric vibes to heartfelt, r&b tracks. Further progression for Drillani has only ascended since the release of his first album, leading the rapper to release two EP’s, Prince of Persia and Angellica, and announce his long-awaited tour called Angellica Takeover. His latest release, “Firearm,” is a new single showcasing Drillani’s new sound which is inspired by the likes of Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert. In addition, childhood influences from Super Mario and Sonic are evident within his tracks through the use of sound effects originating from these early video games. Amid his current rise to stardom, Drillani has partnered with his label Kizzapp Records to announce his first headline concert called Angellica Takeover at the University of Maryland. After opening for underground artists including Autumn!, Kashdami, and Xanman, the opportunity for Drillani to headline his own show is a dream come true for the young rapper. • MeatSpady Shows Us the "Darklight," With Chill Moody

Hailing from the 'land of the spitters' is Philadelphia-based rapper, songwriter, and hip-hop recording artist MeatSpady with his gripping new track, "Darklight," featuring Chill Moody. The American hip-hop artist has become known for his heartfelt lyrics, profound storytelling skills, and witty wordplay similar to the likes of staple creators J. Cole, Nas, and Lupe Fiasco. MeatSpady strives to create relatable stories with melodic melodies while capturing those cathartic experiences on stage, never shying away from writing brutally honest and vulnerable words. Listeners can definitely hear MeatSpady's musical influences like Eminem, Joe Budden, and Nipsey Hussle on his recent hit, "Darklight," alongside smooth-sailing rapper Chill Moody. This song takes us back in time to early 00s hip-hop with the laidback, rather intimidating atmosphere while both rappers let us into their personal thoughts and emotions. Expanding on "Darklight," the track opens with lush and airy woodwind instrumentals alongside harmonious and gloomy background strings, which reach a halt when the smooth mid-tempo drums crash through. The song's beat takes off with this incredibly nostalgic groove, perfectly evened out with bright effects and samples. MeatSpady's flow in this track is somewhat reminiscent of J. Cole, but his bars enlighten us on the rapper's trials and tribulations in his own authentic and genuine way. Rapper Chill Moody later makes his way in while offering a similar confident and rhythmic approach as his fellow collaborator, but there's a certain deepness and intensity that Moody has to offer to this already dynamic song. When MeatSpady joins in around the outro, he softly adds his melodic vocals while sending us on our way. Experience what's beneath the surface of MeatSpady and Chill Moody's latest honest and heavy-hitting single, "Darklight," now available on all streaming platforms. We love the genuine and personal approach you've taken with your recent single, "Darklight," with Chill Moody. What inspired your honest and relatable bars? It's an honor to be an artist worthy of a Buzz Music interview so thank you all for having me. I honestly think it was the instrumentation that inspired the song. It was produced by Tone Jonez. He is a very soulful producer and my favorite. His beats just speak to me and get my emotions going. Once you're in that zone, songs will write themselves. That's my process the majority of the time. I feel it, recall it, then write it. What was it like working with fellow rapper Chill Moody for "Darklight?" What do you feel he added to the song? Chill Moody was a perfect fit for the song. I used Instagram to get his attention. All my followers @‘ed him on a post maybe 100 plus times, he saw it, said he was down, I sent the open verse, he sent it back expeditiously, and he did his thing!. I feel like he added validation to the content. Just his style of rapping alone made the track more graceful… which is a difficult task with such dense content. Shout out to Chill Moody. He's one of the good guys for sure. What was the main impact or takeaway you wanted listeners to experience with "Darklight?" I wanted listeners to understand what it's like for us as black men in America. These stigmas that they attempt to attach to us like "menace to societies" are often just victims of circumstances, products of the environments they are born into. The flip-side to that is even if you make your way out of that part of it, you're still liable to fall victim to the systems in place that is designed to keep us, black men, down. Police brutality, systemic racism, child support, and overall just the unleveled playing field that we are on. How do songs like "Darklight" capture who you are as an artist? Do you feel this song is a good representation of the kind of music and concepts you create? It speaks to my level of creativity and my ability to be relatable. Most importantly, it shows that I stand for something, so that means I won't just fall for anything. 'DarkLight' is just one side of me. In my opinion, we as people are made up of multiple sides, and that's what my album 'Perception' is about. 'DarkLight' does represent me well, but it's just a small piece of what I'm actually capable of creatively and conceptually. Listening to my music shows how multifaceted I am. I have to admit, though, my content sometimes goes over a lot of people's heads. But I like it that way sometimes. I love to challenge my listeners that way. I get to see who is really in sync with me. What's next for you? I had my first concert in January, and the turnout was really great. The reception that I got back from my fans was very beautiful, which inspired a tour. So I have that in the works. I'm certain that there will be new music coming from Bankwitdadank this year as well. That's my brother and co-owner of BankNdSpady Entertainment. Ramadan is approaching us soon, so I'll be investing in my religious affairs during that time and completely stepping away from everything else. Before I decided to give this music thing a serious push, I made a promise to myself not to lose who I am at my core. A Muslim. That's something that I plan to stand on no matter what comes my way. • Chad Price Feels The "Weight" Of Distant Love

Painstakingly carving a career in the music industry for the last decade is a singer-songwriter and respected pop/r&b recording artist Chad Price, who recently released his passionate new tune, "Weight." From what started as a bashful singer-songwriter to an acclaimed and versatile recording artist, Chad Price's career has been nothing short of successful. Not only has he landed multiple sync placements (MTV, MUCH, TSN), but he's toured around the world and shared the stage/worked with names like Ben Harper, Loud Luxury, Walk Off The Earth, The National, Half Moon Run, and many more. In his latest venture, Chad Price dissects the life of a touring artist while missing his lover back home with a sweet new single, "Weight." This song perfectly displays Price's harmonious and lush r&b sounds merged with the spacey and glimmering feel of modern pop. If you're in need of a soulful serenade, don't miss out on what Chad Price has to offer in this new release. Diving into the recent single, "Weight," we splash into the warm waters Chad Price's soothing and tender vocals alongside heavy sub-bass, soft keyboard melodies, and an undeniably groovy drum arrangement. Listening to Price's sweet vocals, he expands on someone special waiting for him back home when he's on the road. This song is genuinely the perfect modern-day ballad, and Chad Price does an excellent job of portraying such challenging and emotional situations. Although Price keeps the passion alive through his stunning vocal performance, the track offers this deep and dark undertone that haunts the speakers with an inner sense of reflection and anticipation. As Price takes us towards the song's outro, he makes it clear that the only thing on his mind is getting back home and making things right. Experience passion and genuine emotion like you never have before with Chad Price's latest single, "Weight," now available on all streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Chad Price. We're head over heels for the tender and passionate ballad you've released with "Weight." Were you inspired to write this song when on tour and away from someone special? What was that experience like? Thanks for having me, and I'm glad you dig the new song! The short answer to your question is, no...not really. The whole lyrical scenario that plays out in the song is more of a figment of my imagination. I actually couldn't tour when this song was written due to the state of the world, so me and my co-writer/producer Matthew Johnston just spun a whole fictional narrative. The song is pure fantasy. For me, limiting my writing to only the things I've experienced first-hand is pretty boring. Your lyrics in "Weight" sound like they're straight out of a diary. Was it easy to transform your emotional thoughts into lyrics during this songwriting process? I'm glad that it feels like the words are right out of a diary. That was the idea...to make them feel deeply personal and intimate. They feel like a conversation that should only be had between two people. It was cool to go there, but it was easier to go there knowing that it was based on fiction and had no connection to any real-life person. I just wanted to make a grittier, sexier song than anything I've made in the past and to show a little more creative and lyrical range. I pushed myself on this one. Did you produce the soothing and deep sonics for "Weight"? What sort of vibe and feel did you want the song's production to give off An amazing producer and creative visionary named Matthew Johnston produced this one. We were going for something dark and gritty. That's why you hear that ominous Moog Prodigy throughout the song and the distorted electric guitar in the verses. My past music has typically been a little smoother than this, so we were going for a new angle...something a little more 'offensive,' if you will. Matthew played many of the instruments on "Weight" (synth, piano, bass, drums). We also had one of the best guitarists in the business, TJ Whitelaw, come in and lay down some incredible guitar. On a more personal note, why do you think your career has been so successful? What does your music capture that sets it apart from other artistic creations? Any success I've had thus far can be credited to a whole host of friends, family, collaborators, and colleagues who believe in me and my music and who have helped me gain ground in the music industry inch by inch over many years. I've also been at this at a professional level for a decade now, so I've endured a lot of failures, recalibration, and second efforts to learn how to do things right and how things work in this field. I have no idea what sets it apart as far as my music, and I don't think that's for me to decide or worry about. I'm just trying to make the best music that will hopefully resonate with the most significant number of people possible. INSTAGRAM YOUTUBE

  • Tarah Who? Tears Down Industry Standards In "Asian Blood"

Los Angeles-based power grunge-punk duo Tarah Who? is back at it again, exploding speakers left and right with their new mind-boggling single, "Asian Blood." Comprising grunge-punk sage Tarah Carpenter and drummer/backing vocalist Coralie Hervé, Tarah Who?'s broad discography hints to acts like Alanis Morissette, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Spinnerette, and more. The two ladies in Tarah Who? continue to tear up the ground with Carpenter's complex psychological songwriting and Hervé's gripping rhythm that carries each song's core. Showcasing those fiery and dense stylings is Tarah Who?'s latest hit, "Asian Blood," inspired by the underground feminist punk movement, Riot grrrl, that took off in the early 90s. Co-produced with Jason Orme (Alanis Morissette), the track dissects the industry's inequitable treatment of women and how they often feel compelled to look younger to obtain certain roles. Catapulting ourselves into Tarah Who?'s new single, "Asian Blood," we're submerged into the hellish depths of this two-minute rock escapade through a blistering lead guitar wailing away while Hervé's tight drums begin pounding through our speakers. As Carpenter unleashes the beast and rages through our speakers, she dives into the first verse with her attention-commanding vocals that dissect incredibly relevant concepts. We're highly impressed with Carpenter's lyrics that demonstrate how executives will degrade young female entertainers by explaining how they don't understand the industry while shaming knowledgeable women for being too old to stay relevant. All while that's going on, both ladies in Tarah Who? smack our speakers with might and ferocity until the very last second. Although Tarah Who? was blessed with strong and youthful "Asian Blood," there's one thing for sure; beauty fades, but talent is forever. Tarah Who?'s new single is available in the US and UK on all major streaming platforms. What a conceptual and needed single you've released with "Asian Blood." What inspired you to write about the inequitable treatment of talented and knowledgeable women in the industry? Hi! Thanks for having us! Actually, my birthday was coming up, and I was just being aware of my emotions of getting older! Lol! I was never really concerned about time passing by, and just like the chorus of the song sings, " I feel good, I feel young," but this time, it kind of just hit me. There are so many things I want to do and accomplish in life. It is really hard to make everything happen! ( and I am not someone who lets go of what she said she would do....) Then I was thinking of the numbers (my age), and it was never a really big concern to me, but I started thinking of how "other people" view us, independent musicians. Most people do not understand our dedication, our tenacity. We chose a really hard industry because looks do matter and, for some reason, passed a certain age (or passed a certain amount of wrinkles) if you still haven't managed to be successful ( if we take the general definition that "success" means being famous AKA a Rockstar) then you are just a "40-year-old something or older still playing in dive bars". So how do we change that point of view? Considering that "Asian Blood" is a rather short track at just under two minutes, do you feel this straight-to-the-point approach enhanced the sense of urgency and importance? I feel like I said what I had to say. I didn't feel the need to drag the topic into another verse or chorus, but you have a good point that I didn't think about (thank you!) it "enhances the sense of urgency"! I like that! It was not intentional, but I like that it creates that effect. I knew I wanted a short track because I wanted to keep the attention until the end of the song, so hopefully, this is the case! Could you take us through what it was like behind the scenes of "Asian Blood"? What was it like working with producer Jason Orme during that process? Generally speaking, I write songs. I make a full demo with guitars, bass, drums, and vocals. Then I send the tracks to Coralie, who learns the songs, and then we rehearse before we go into the studio with Jason. 'Asian Blood' was the same process. What I love about working with Jason is that he knows us, so he knows what kind of guitar sound I like. We either use his guitars or mine. He has a bunch of pedals and effects. He basically shapes the guitar sound, which is a HUGE relief for me, who really just likes to plug in and play. I don't have the patience for testing 10 000 pedals. I usually do with what I have and try to make it work, but for recording, it matters. Not only does Jason like to do that, but he actually KNOWS how to do all of this! My guitars usually need to be readjusted and tweaked. I wouldn't know! Lol! So my guitars do appreciate some Jason time. Coralie and I play the song a couple of times to Jason, and once we start recording, Jason helps with the drums as well. Since he is a listener while we are playing the song, he suggests drum changes, build-ups, and whatnot. So at this point, we are just arranging on the spot so that the song has an easier flow and groove. That is, in my opinion, crucial because, as artists, we tend to think that things sound good the way they are, but when you have someone like Jason who is able to change little things that make a big difference, it elevates the track. The vocals were fun! I did a lot of screaming for the intro, and then I asked Jason if he could pretend to be a music industry person talking about a woman's age, and you know basically I called him and said, " Hey Jason, on 'Asian Blood' I was thinking... do you mind being a d%&*k at the end? because those are actually real things that have been said to women." he said " Yeah! Sure! that'll be fun!" Would you say that women empowerment and equity are integral parts of your duo's music? What does Tarah Who? stand for and believe at its core? Lol! I see why you would say that! ;) I write because I need to. Some of the things I write become songs because I think that they might inspire or at least trigger something in people's minds, even if it is just reflection or awareness of a situation. Sometimes I think that someone else might relate, and this will prove that we are not that different after all. So, It is not that women's empowerment is a big part of Tarah Who's music, but it is definitely part of our lives. Women in Rock, Women in music, Women in honestly... everything! We are still fighting about what we believe in, how we present ourselves, where we "fit in," etc... Maybe, as I am getting older! I am just getting less patient with all of that unfairness. I am honestly tired of seeing the same (male) bands and artists getting everything and every opportunity while independent bands work really hard for very little (if nothing) in return. I believe that everyone deserves a chance. It is not a Women vs. Men thing at all. I just believe in fairness. It doesn't matter where you are from, your level of education, your race, sexuality, gender, age. None of this matters. If you have an idea, if you have passion, dedication, or a goal, you should be able to make it happen. Everyone deserves to be given a chance to succeed and to be happy. I think that if people got a chance to be seen and heard and do what they are truly passionate about, they would want to help others. But now we live in a world full of competition. Initially gaining traction through his YouTube channel with covers of popular songs, Iznaga has taken the time to hone in on his craft and developed his own unique sound. As a result, Heri Iznaga's releases tend to center around the Electronic Dance and Dance-Pop genres, featuring his soft yet powerful vocal tones and electronic/futurist production elements to his tracks. Heri Iznaga is constantly trying new things and expanding his portfolio by producing a variety of other genres such as Deep House, Brazilian Bass, and other more experimental sounds. We can't wait to hear what comes next from this rising star. Now, we'll take a peek at his compelling Dance-Pop track, "How'd You Feel?" This single opens with Iznaga's smooth, soulful vocals upfront and center in the mix. We are immediately captivated by his delivery and impressive vocal performance, hooked on every word he says as he draws us deeper into the track. The chorus of "How'd You Feel?" pumps up the energy, with production elements that are extremely satisfying and make the track impossible not to want to dance along to. Throughout the energetic track, Iznaga has managed to incorporate emotive, vulnerable lyrics, as he navigates the ups and downs of a relationship. Iznaga has created an extraordinarily memorable and heartfelt dance track with "How'd You Feel?" and we are loving every second of it. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Heri Iznaga, and congratulations on your latest single, "How'd You Feel?" Can you tell us a bit more about the inspiration behind your captivating single? Thank you all for having me. This song is very special to me. I came up with the initial idea of the chorus at a time when I had many things In my mind, and I had to get them out somehow. The theme of "How'd You Feel?" It is about uncertainty but also hopefulness. Uncertainty because we truly never really know where things might end up in life, with a significant other, etc. We all have these intrusive thoughts from time to time. Is asking the other person how would they feel if things didn't go as we hoped they would, would they even care? It's a very vulnerable place to be in and to ask these questions. We never want to think about these things, to begin with. We all want good things to last a lifetime, and that's the hopefulness part because there's a knowing deep down that life always finds a way to sort things out and is always working in your favor, even if it doesn't look like it at the moment. What sort of atmosphere and vibe did you want the instrumentals and production to give off in "How'd You Feel?" Did you produce this track or have any help bringing these sonics to life? Since the lyrics talk about the uncertain side of things, I wanted this track to have upbeat and feel-good vibes to make it sound more hopeful. I did produce, wrote, and composed the song. I have been producing for over four years now, not long, so I am definitely learning and evolving with my music every day. And I've always liked the control I have over my own projects; if there is something I don't feel 100% sure of, then I can change it and do as I like without a problem because it can be difficult to entrust your vision to other people who don't see it the same way. Your love and passion for music and performing are extremely apparent in your releases. Do you remember where your love for music all began and who some of your biggest inspirations were growing up? Since little, I've always been inclined towards the art world. I started drawing when I was about seven years old, but it wasn't till the age of 10 when I had received a CD with all of Michael Jackson's songs, music videos, and performances. Mind you. I was born in Cuba, so I had never seen anything like it before. I was instantly amazed at the way he sang, danced, and the way the music fit together so perfectly in one cohesive body of work. I think that was the moment that planted the seed. It wasn't until I was about 16 years old and already living in the U.S that I took the time to pursue music. That's also when I started to learn how to sing properly and watched music production classes on YouTube. Did you have a specific idea in mind of you who hoped this song would resonate with the most? What do you hope listeners will take away from this song while listening? I didn't really have a specific idea in mind at first. But once the song was finished, I hoped that people who might be going through that same situation of overthinking could relate. I think the subject and theme itself of "How'd You Feel?" It is very relatable and understandable for almost everybody. I only hope the listener feels heard, seen, understood, and good overall. I am also sure that some people will listen to the song and come up with their own idea of what it might be about, but… whatever they come up with, I truly hope it takes them on a journey and that it resonates with their life experiences What's next for you? Definitely more music. I already have other projects prepared for the rest of the year, so it's going to be a very productive one if everything goes according to plan. I am in a very good place mentally at the moment, so I feel very motivated and inspired to write new things, and lately, I have been experimenting more and more with my own sounds to hopefully come up with new and exciting ideas. I love to engage with my fans on social media and show little snippets of my future projects, so definitely make sure to follow me there if you haven't yet for more little insights and behind the scenes of my music. • Experience “bittersweet” Love, In chasing luma’s Debut Single

Hailing from Canada's east coast is a singer-songwriter, producer, and recording artist chasing luma with his sweet-sounding debut single, "bittersweet." The Canadian producer prides himself in his energetic modern electronic sounds merged with the wistful nostalgia of contemporary alternative music. chasing luma hopes to evoke emotion through both his sonic arrangements and lyrical storytelling. At the end of the day, chasing luma strives to create music that prompts us to seek our truth in life. He's done precisely that with his debut single, "bittersweet," which features chasing luma's substantial songwriting, textured soundscapes, and radiant alt-pop melodies. The song itself "was the song that made me decide to make the chasing luma project," notes chasing luma, which you can hear songs about struggling to find his own truth in the busy world we live in. Jumping into "bittersweet," we're met with chasing luma's soft and smooth vocals alongside a plucky electric guitar arrangement and soothing background keys to up the song's emotion. Listening to chasing luma's lyrics, he begins to expand on losing himself in the trials and tribulations of turbulent relationships and the broken love that was once strong. We love the song's easy-going feel; although chasing luma sings a rather "bittersweet" message, he makes the experience incredibly refreshing. We also appreciate how chasing luma utilizes the fresh, and uplifting vibe of alternative pop merged with modern electronic's vast emotion and textures. chasing luma continues to serenade us with the utmost heart and emotion, closing the song on a profound note of reflection regarding his endless journey to find the truth. Introduce yourself to chasing luma's bright and beaming stylings through his debut single, "bittersweet," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Congratulations on releasing your bright yet emotional debut single, "bittersweet." Why did you choose this song to be your big introduction to the music scene? Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. "bittersweet" was the first demo I made for what became the "chasing luma" project that really made me feel the emotions that all of my favorite music made me feel - so chronologically, it just made a lot of sense to me! What inspired the emotional lyrical content within "bittersweet?" When did you begin writing this piece? Without being too revealing, "bittersweet" is about being at a crossroads in the world and struggling to find your truth. It's about asking yourself if it's worth it to abandon everything you know or to stay in your comfort zone; knowing you want more out of life, but not knowing quite how to get it yet - being aware that you'll probably be happier if you follow your heart and ambition, but being a bit timid of the cost of that. The first version was made in 2019 after a long and hard-fought battle with writer's block, and it immediately had me dancing around my room - that was when I knew that it was going to be a song worth fighting for. Do you plan on continuing to merge alt-pop with modern electronic in your future tunes, similar to the sound and vibe within "bittersweet?" Would you stamp this sound as your go-to? Totally! I've always listened to a wide array of music, so I pull inspiration from so many different places, and I don't see any end to that. The main thing I really want to capture in my music is a certain feeling and emotion - that I've deemed really hard to explain with words. Somewhere between nostalgia, wistfulness, melancholy, and crying and smiling at the same time - and I think there's a lot of room for sonic experimentation within those guidelines. The new music I have planned for the rest of the year will help explain the feeling I'm trying to capture much better than I ever could with words! Could you explain more about yourself and what you want to represent and stand for as an artist? What should listeners associate you and your music with? I'm 23 and from a really small town on the East Coast of Canada - I basically grew up on the internet since there were very few people I connected with growing up, and that was a pretty isolating feeling. I've spent as long as I can remember being obsessively passionate about music - and I really just want to share that with the world. I want to stand for the joy of representing yourself and your story through art. People creating things that didn't exist before in any medium makes the world a better place to live. I want to encourage people to be themselves, to make decisions based on love instead of fear. And at the end of the day, I hope to encourage people to take care of themselves, reach for their dreams, and be good to other people - those are values worth standing for. Instagram Twitter

  • Kings County Command Your Attention In Hard-Hitting Single, “Equilibrium”

Hailing from Orlando, FL, Hard Rock group Kings County brings forth an energy and stage presence and proves that they are a force to be reckoned with. Kings County is comprised of members Rob Dexter (Vocals, Bass), Steve Bell (Guitars, Vocals), Joe Lopez (Drums), and Bill Kania (Guitars, Vocals). This 4-piece group creates hard-hitting Rock tracks with infectious hooks and melodies. Throughout their journey together, they've gained inspiration from various artists, including but not limited to The Beatles and Herb Alpert. Their sound is reminiscent of 90's Hard Rock bands, but with a modern twist that gives them an edge above the rest. Now, let's take a peek at their track, "Equilibrium." This track comes at you hard from the jump - with powerful, dominating drums and energy-infused power chords setting the scene. Kings County manages to maintain this high-energy, driving feeling throughout the entire song, and we love every second of it. "Equilibrium" is powerful and gritty, geared to shake you to your core. The lead vocals are dark and demanding, taking control of the track and slicing through the dynamic sonic landscape. Screamo-style vocals occasionally enter the picture, commanding the audience's attention with their force and power. Dexter gives insight into the meaning behind the track. "When good and evil collide, our newest single "Equilibrium" stresses what we all look to achieve, a constant balance in our life, our minds, and our souls…." Equilibrium" is an auditory darkest before the dawn and rise above the ashes." King County demonstrates cohesion and skillfulness to their instrumentation that only comes from a group that has spent years honing in on their craft together. We can't wait to see what comes next from this talented band. Go and show some love to Kings County and listen to their song "Equilibrium" today. Welcome back to BuzzMusic, Kings County, congratulations on your latest hard-hitting track, "Equilibrium." Can you tell us about some of the main inspirations for writing this song? First off, we would like to thank BuzzMusic for their continued support of the band and for taking the time to listen and spread the word about our newly-released music. Our new song "Equilibrium" definitely wasn't written overnight. The song had taken a few twists and turns in the writing process to get it to this final version. Myself (Rob Dexter) and guitarist Steve Bell wrote the initial structure of the song a while back and put it aside to work on other ideas. Sometimes it's good to let a song sit for a bit to let you digest the first draft and then make needed adjustments. Lyrically the song's meaning never changed during the writing process. "Equilibrium" stresses what we all look to achieve in life, and that's balance. Every day we are bombarded with all that's good and bad in life, and "Equilibrium" is how we respond to those opposing forces. What sort of atmosphere and vibe did you want the instrumentals and production to give off in "Equilibrium?" Who helped bring the sonics to life? One thing that remains consistent with whatever we write is the music must come off powerful. I don't care if we're writing a ballad; it better has the energy in its delivery to make people turn heads. A great-sounding song starts with the drums, the foundation of any great song. Last year the band headed to Detroit to work on new song ideas with our producer Chuck Alkazian at Pearl Sound Studios. That's when we presented our demo of "Equilibrium" to Chuck. We always felt the song idea was strong, and Chuck agreed we had something there. We began stripping the song down to its foundation, where we built it back up. Chuck's vision was to make the chorus more anthem-like and change the verses making them more driving. "Equilibrium" was now sonically and structurally amazing. Chuck has a knack for creating heavy music but keeping the sound clean and powerful to the listener. We are captivated by the cohesion and skill the four of you demonstrate as a group. Can you let us in on a bit of the band's origin story and how Kings County came to be? As the saying goes, you can't go to a music store and buy tightness. Myself (Rob Dexter), guitarist Steve Bell and guitarist Bill Kania started playing together all the way back in the '90s on Long Island, NY. We were in a successful band there, continuously performing throughout the New York / Tri-state area. Performing thousands of shows over the years certainly helps you become one tight bad-ass band. Our big break came when we were offered the house gig at Disney's Pleasure Island in Orlando, FL, and that's when the band relocated to sunny Florida. One great thing about playing for Disney is you don't have to travel the world, the world comes to you, and we certainly took advantage of it. We performed tons of shows on huge stages, accumulating a large fan base while developing our sound and stage show. How do you hope listeners will react to the track upon first hearing it? Did you have a specific idea in mind of you who hoped this song would resonate with the most? Rock music has such a broad listener base, and we weren't targeting any specific group, but the reviews we have initially gotten on "Equilibrium" are across the age spectrum. We recently did a crowd review where your song is presented to 100's of music listeners. We were completely blown away by the positive response from younger and older rock music fans. When reading the reviews, what we read over and over again was the power and energy of the song and how they related to the song subject. When you read reviews like that, you've done your job as a songwriter. What's next for you? Your next great song is just a writing session away, so keeping the momentum is key. Also, a lot of musicians forget an important part of releasing your music is promotion. You could have the greatest song, but if no one hears it, you've failed. We are fortunate to have a great promotion team with Unleashed Music. Gina and Geordie are great at getting our music out to the public and one of the reasons we are here with BuzzMusic. The band currently performs throughout the southeast United States, and we are looking to expand to other areas in 2022 and hopefully jump on some national tours and festivals throughout the country. There are always new fans out there ready to listen to some new great music, and it's our job to deliver it to them. Facebook Artist Website
