  • Rapper/Songwriter SM Tone’s Latest Single “Ol Lady” Has Our Heads Boppin’

Rapper/songwriter SM Tone from Atlanta Georgia is getting us ready for summer with his warmhearted track “Ol Lady”. SM Tone born Antonio Finley has earned amazing recognition in his city, and worked extremely hard on upcoming singles for future project releases, and shooting music videos. Most known for his tracks “Inner Thoughts” and “Rain”, he’s on the move creating two upcoming projects “Elephants in the Room” and “Anything is Possible”. Interestingly, the albums are being dropped simultaneously! SM Tone has clearly set the bar remarkably high for songwriters, as he is consistently delivering a great amount of quality content. SM Tone ’s warm vocals and nostalgic production created a beautiful easy listening love song. Beginning with a catchy beat taking you back to the top 40 charts of the 2000s. Also including the perfect amount of auto-tune without drowning in irrelevant effects. “Ol Lady” has an incredibly catchy yet steady beat, definitely a nod to the early 2000s Hip Hop production. A feel-good song that brings summer love vibes, and feeling connected to somebody on an emotional level. With pertinent hi-hats and snares, whether in the foreground or background, perfectly complete the well-rounded track. • Ryan Zimmerman Bares His Roots in the New Song "Ain’t Nothin’ Special"

Amidst the bluesy guitar and the marching drums, Ryan Zimmerman tells the story of a woman who has scorned him in his new song "Ain’t Nothin’ Special". He’s brimming with rage, but he quickly finds someone else to distract him. A woman he describes as ‘Ain’t Nothin’ Special but she’ll do’. As Ryan speaks his truth and croons along with the music, you can’t resist the tapping of your foot on the floor or the infectious way the music enters your body. This simple and classic roots style song, uses a simple chord progression, grooving bass and moderately timed drums to create a feeling of happiness. As Ryan Zimmerman sings about taking his new girl to the bar and having a few drinks, you can’t help but giggle at the thought. His fantastic storytelling puts you right on the seat next to them, observing how he’s not so into his new girl and how he blissfully drinks the alcohol. The music guides your mind to imagine what the bar would look like in its entirety, full with laughing patrons, clinking glasses and an old jukebox stocked with old blues and roots records. As the music keeps its pace, your mind is filled with the thought, ‘Life is what it is, sometimes it’s even a little funny, but everything’s alright.’ It is the testament of a good song and songwriter, to make listeners feel and Ryan Zimmerman’s expertise shines through in "Ain’t Nothin’ Special." This Long Beach Island, New Jersey native, got his start performing around the Jersey Shore. He currently lives on the famous coast and dedicates himself to music. The artist has toured extensively with Zach Deputy, The Hope Social Club, Michael Allman, American Trappist, and Marshall Crenshaw, as well as headlined his own events all over the country. Ryan just finished recording a new album, with Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls at the helm and will be releasing it this fall along with a subsequent tour. This music is powerful, and Ryan won’t stop until he plants roots everywhere. Listen to "Ain’t Nothin’ Special" here. Hello Ryan, welcome to Buzz Music and thank you for being here! "Ain’t Nothin’ Special" is a fun tune and we love it. How did you come up with the story that this song is based on? To be honest it's an older song I wrote that I just got around to recording. I always liked the bluesy raw feel to it. The subject matter is rather subjective to a younger version of myself when I lived more of a reckless lifestyle and I think that comes through in the song to say the least. Kinda semi-autobiographical, I guess. Your writing is very descriptive! Throughout the entire song, I felt as though I was within the world of this song. How long have you been songwriting, to have become this good? A long time and thank you for the compliment. I love writing songs. I have a treasure trove of songs I want to record and I'm always writing new ones. It's just not a quick process for me and that's not intentional. I wish I could just hammer out three or four songs a day but my process seems to go at a lot slower rate. Ideas get revised, songs get structured, lyrics changed and moved around. I really don't have any rhyme or reason to it but it is a long process for them to come to life and suppose that's not a bad thing. You got your start on the famous coast of The Jersey Shore. What is the music scene like out there? The music scene on the Jersey Shore is extremely interesting and unique, to say the least. Along the coast, there is a heavy punk rock and indie rock scene going on with Asbury Park being ground zero for it all. That seems to be the cultural epicenter at the shore right now, but other spots are starting to come to light more and more. Atlantic City is starting to be more open to original acts with places like The Anchor Rock Club opening. I'm hoping the culture comes back in AC stays on an uphill swing. I live on Long Beach Island and places like Bird and Betty's are bringing in big-name original acts. It's very seasonal here. In the summer it's as busy as a street in Manhattan and in the winter you might as be in Alaska. With that being said a lot of the businesses cater to the tourist crowds and offer a lot of cover bands and acts which I myself also get involved with. Its great pay and also a good place to try new material on attentive ears. I always slip an original song or two into my cover gigs. You’ve toured successfully with other bands as well as hosted your own shows around the country. What are your future plans, to grow your musical career? I just want to keep going. I've been a worker bee my whole life so that's the only way I know how to keep crunching. I played over 200 gigs in 2019 and I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon. I usually stick around at home from late spring to early fall and make money playing at the beach then taking my show on the road in the off months with some money squirreled away. I basically took the old business model of my old bartending career and adapted that to my music career. It seems to be working so I'll just keep plugging away. What can fans anticipate next from you, Ryan? Well I just got done a winter tour and I have some regional shows at the end of the winter then hitting the road again in March and I'll be out there pretty much till mid-May when I get home and do the whole process again. I don't plan on doing any more recording until later this year. I might possibly do a single or two but nothing long scale. I'm focussing on my live show right now with my solo gigs and full band shows as well. I started a project with my friend James Sattler called "The Fiddler and the Rye" It's a guitar and fiddle duo. Kinda like a psychedelic punk rock bluegrass thing. I would like to work on that some more so keep your eyes peeled. facebook.com/ryanzimmermanmusic instagram.com/ryanzimmermanmusic twitter.com/rzimmermanmusic #BuzzMusic

  • Kristine W Gives an Exclusive Look Into Her New Music and More

Welcome, Kristine W! Being an artist that continuously releases music, you have a pretty impressive tracklist! Taking a look back at your career in music, how do you feel you've been shaped artistically and personally through your journey as an artist? I have more compassion for other people's struggles. When you travel around the planet, your blinders come off and you see what's really going on and how tough people have it in other countries that are not as developed as ours. It has made me a better songwriter. I  have always written songs and performed live and I'm always grateful to share my music anywhere I can. Music has made me think more globally and, as we know, music speaks louder than words. Congratulations on debuting your latest piece of work, "Love and Lies". As you were writing and recording each track on this album, what was the intention you had regarding the way you wanted your listeners to feel? What goal did you have in mind when releasing 'Love and Lies'? The album 'Love and Lies' speaks of love, lies, and betrayal. Both my older sister and I had been through divorces. Hers was final in 2008; mine in June 2019. We talked a lot about how those betrayals impacted our children, our family, and our spirit. You really get the wind knocked out of your sail and its tough to get back going. There's a lot of love too and the dedication is to my Mom and my Godmother:  two women who survived death, divorce, and many heartbreaks. It shows the Power Of Music and of friendship. My goal with releasing Love and Lies was for it to be the first album of a trilogy of albums. I’ve been working on a lot of music so why not let the albums and singles roll out for a longer period of time and see what the response is to a new way of releasing songs?  In the end, I plan to release all albums as a double CD called ISSUES. You're known to be an artist that really puts forth her most vulnerable and intricate emotions into the lyrical content of your music. Considering your songs depict many trivial times, do you find it difficult to manifest the right kind of energy once recording such songs? How do you go about synthesizing those painful feelings all over again? It is difficult to create a vision and a sound both vocally and musically for songs. Thankfully we have created and produced a lot of songs over the past 20 years so we are getting pretty good at capturing the mood.  Every song on Love and Lies takes different energy.  "Wind in the trees" is very haunting. “Barracuda” has an urgency.  (https://soundcloud.com/kristine-w-official/barracuda?in=kristine-w-official/sets/episode-one-love-and-lies),  "Just a Lie" feels vulnerable and on it goes.  (https://youtu.be/tnW62ImFE40) You've dabbled in many musical genres within the past, which is undoubtedly portrayed within your own music. Do you feel that you've been immensely shaped by the diversified sense of sound you find yourself working in? Yes, there is a serious diversity of sound in House Music.  So many styles!    House Progressive House, Tribal, Circuit, electro, New Disco House etc. That's why it's so challenging!  It’s important to create remixes with different remixers all over the planet that span all the different genres. We appreciate the time to chat, Kristine W! We wish you all the best for the continued release of your music, and we hope to see you back soon! Where do you hope your sound ultimately travels to in the future to come? My goal has always been to be a messenger with music. Make great songs with creative melodies and always try something that challenges me as an artist. I hope I'm being played on dance floors and on playlists all over the planet.  I’m incredibly grateful that I have been able to live my dream. What a blessing. Thank you for the love, everyone, XX KW. Listen to Kristine W here. instagram.com/kristinewmusic #BuzzMusic

  • Michelle Ariane’s Soulful Single “Let It Burn” Makes Sparks Fly

Swiss Minnesotan singer-songwriter, Michelle Ariane expresses her broad musical education through her latest hit, “Let It Burn”. From growing up in a musical family to graduating with honors at the Los Angeles College of Music (Vocal Performance), Michelle demonstrates dedication to music. After releasing her debut album, 'Beautiful Angel' in 2017, she decided to return to Switzerland from LA to establish her career in the European music industry. Since then, she has played venues across Switzerland and Europe, while also offering in-house personal concerts. Michelle’s single “Let It Burn” begins with beautiful and complex strumming combined with powerful background piano chords. With soft instrumentation throughout the verse, Michelle’s lyrics are mesmerizing. Michelle creates a powerful message for positive change, and for accepting reality. The ground stomping chorus features genres such as; blues, jazz, soul, and rock. “Let It Burn” incorporates Michelle Ariane’s broad vocal range while being supported by her soulful instrumentation. Michelle was born to be a performer, and she proves it through each melody. Listen to "Let It Burn" here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Michelle Ariane! We’re incredibly excited to feature your song “Let It Burn”! You seem to have a very broad music style, who were some role models? Oh my gosh – There are so many it’s hard to pick. Music to me is all about storytelling. Which is why I found a deep appreciation for Songwriters such as Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell, and Carole King. As a vocalist, on the other hand, I have a love for all the big voices such as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Tina Turner. So in my songwriting, I try to combine those two elements into a song that resonates with listeners. You’ve mentioned that you grew up in a musical family, were you always a singer at heart? Or did the family help steer you in that direction? My family and I would sing a lot – it was just something we did to entertain ourselves – like playing board games and going out for walks. So I never thought this could be a career choice until I was in my teens, and neither did my parents. But once I made my decision, I had their full support for my creative journey – and still do. “Let It Burn” is such a powerful song with incredible imagery. Where did you draw inspiration for the song? I learned early on, that people come into your life, but some don’t stay. Mostly because they were only meant to be there for a certain time to teach you something. Others are meant to stay, but it’s a conscious decision to do so – especially after a fight. So after an explosive fight that I had with a person that is a constant loving presence in my life I wasn’t sure if we could recover from it. That’s why the question is left in the air – ‘will you take my hand, start again – I don’t know’. You’ve been back in Switzerland for a few months now, are you still working on your upcoming album 'Bridge The Great Divide'? My producer Marc Lacuasta lives in Michigan, so with the 6 hour time difference between us two, it’s been an interesting process of finalizing the record, filled with emails and skype sessions late at night. At last, I’m currently listening to the masters of the new album before we send it to print and it sounds soo good it makes me giddy. What can we expect to see from you throughout 2020? I’m releasing two more singles from the album, on February 28th and March 27th, before the actual album ‘Bridge the Great Divide’ releases in April joined with a music video release. After the release, it’s time to take the show on the road and share this music with as many people as possible. I know, the encounters at these concerts will inspire many new songs to be recorded and shared. instagram.com/michellearianeofficial twitter.com/michellearianeO facebook.com/michellearianeofficial #BuzzMusic

  • Senior Gee Creates A New Age Hip-Hop Hit "Oooohhh"

Creating new musical surroundings with the classic tools from early hip-hop is Senior Gee from Queens, New York. Growing up in one of the toughest parts of the south side. Senior Gee saw the brighter side of his surroundings and learned from every opportunity and situation. At a very young age, Senior Gee attended various music schools, after realizing his superior writing skills. It didn’t stop there. As he continued to mature, he graduated from The Institute of Audio Research as a state-certified engineer of music and music production. He worked on varied projects, including features from Muziah A.K.A Phillip Famous. His latest single, "Oooohhh", includes skills he acquired from his training and musical journey. The instrumentation in "Oooohhh" sounds reminiscent to the 80s and 90s hip-hop era. However, there are elements of contemporary, new age hip-hop and R&B within "Oooohhh". The drums in the background are reminiscent of old school hip-hop, but the instruments add a unique aspect to the track. Senior Gee’s vocals add to the particular sound of this track. It is cool to hear a more unique tone over a hip-hop beat. Additionally, what he expresses through his lyrics is meaningful and relevant. It is refreshing to hear actual substance in hip-hop songs rather than unrelatable lyrics and curse words. Senior Gee changes the game with "Oooohhh," the song is completely clean with no curse words insight. Senior Gee brings a refreshing taste back to hip-hop, while still maintaining unique and honoring hip-hop transitions. Listen to "Oooohhh" here. Hey Senior Gee! Welcome to BuzzMusic, we are very happy to be representing your latest track “Oooohhh”.  Growing up, you attended and organized many school events with music involved in it.  Other than school spots, can you remember any fun local spots where you could share music with others? Growing up I did not organize any events from when I was in elementary school. As far as spots where I shared my music, the most memorable was at the world-famous Apollo when I won the amateur night with my own original lyrics & did it acapella. Do some of them still exist today? Yes, the Apollo still exists in Harlem NY During your time at The Institute of Audio Research in New York, you must have had a lot of hands-on opportunities and in-depth tutorials about the music industry.  What was one of the most memorable lessons you can remember that really stuck with you? The most important lesson that I can remember was from one of my instructors, his name was Mario from Delaware, and he drove to New York City every day to teach us what Mario taught me was to believe in your craft and to never give up on anything that you know is right forget with anyone else feels believes or thinks. He was the reason why I had a 4.1 GPA versus just a 4.0 GPA.  Would you change anything about your experience there?  Absolutely not, I wouldn't change anything. The experiences during that time were all necessary to put me on the path that I'm on currently as Musical Engineer, Producer & Artist. Going to an audio school and being able to work on your own projects is an opportunity of a lifetime.  Do you think there was an overall good atmosphere while working on your projects even though you were in a school environment?  When I was in school for audio engineering and production we were not working on our own projects we were working on up-and-coming and some established artists in the music industry at that time. Even though it was a school environment, there was still a lot of fun lessons learned. Most of the time it didn't seem like a school environment when we were doing studio sessions, the only difference back in those days we were still using 2-inch reel to reel tape, Protools was just a young child then. “Oooohhh” incorporates a lot of technical hip-hop skills, that seem to inquire elements of old school hip-hop.  Do you think some of your upcoming projects will have more of a reggae-vibe to them? Not necessarily a reggae vibe but, I'm an artist of feeling so if it feels right during the creative process then so be it as long as the energy is right. What can we expect to see from you throughout 2020?  Whatever the universe has in store for me I will humbly except I just take it one day at a time and hopefully, things will naturally fall into place musically & otherwise. I'm just grateful my eyes opened up this morning. instagram.com/gspsenior2 facebook.com/Gspsenior2 #BuzzMusic

  • Corbon Amodio Takes Us Back to the 80s in His New Song Dance "With You"

Do you ever yearn for a time from the past? One filled with bell-bottoms, shoulder pads, and discos. Well, get your speakers ready because Corbon Amodio’s new song, "Dance With You," is the time machine you’ve been waiting for. This South African producer uses sounds and samples popularized during the 80s era and mixes them with modern techniques. This combination produces a unique style of music that Corbon has coined ‘Alternative Dance-Pop’. You can hear the 80s influences throughout the song. You can hear those influences in the dancing bass line, vocal styling, and synth sounds. Modern influences can be heard just as clearly in the way the beat rises and falls, and in the intro vocal, and in the song structure itself. Corbon is revolutionizing the modern dance-pop genre. In fact, the South African artist moved to the vibrant city of London to further his musical career. In the year 2020, he plans on releasing one song per month. He expects to claim the title of ‘Greatest Artist of The Generation’. With the quality of work he has produced so far, I believe that this title is within reach. Listen to "Dance With You" here. Hey Corbon Amodio, welcome to Buzz Music and thank you for being here! We love Dance With You and the way you’re revolutionizing the Dance-Pop genre. This quality of work must have taken years to achieve. How long have you been practicing and writing music? Hi Buzz Music! thank you for having me. I've been making music for about 5 years now but I've only started making this style very recently (it must be about four months maximum) so it's very fresh to me but it feels like it's been there the whole time. The era of the Disco was a very important one in music history. It’s powerful and liberating sounds made it a genre of music that was feared and eradicated. What was it about 80s era music, that inspired you to create your unique music? I think we can all agree that 80s has this hypnotic effect to it where you're almost transported into the 80s when listing to 80s music and I want to bring that same energy back to modern times, I became so interested in how timeless all these songs were that I was listening to that I just wanted to understand what was really going on and in that birthed the must that I'm making currently. I also love retro synth styles and basses so it was a bit of a no brainer. Your music simultaneously mirrors the essence of the ’80s and the vibe of the modern age. How do you compose your music, to ensure that it does this? This is a bit of a tough question to answer because it almost comes naturally to the point where I'm not really thinking about blending the ages but there are distinguishing sounds of the 80s that are amazing that I use and I think because I am of this age and myself still growing up with all of the modern music around me the blend just comes naturally. I am always about innovation and trying new things and look to up artists that do the same so the idea sounds more intense than it is but I'm really just being my creative self. This year will be a very busy one for you, as you plan to release a new song every month. How long has it taken for you to build such a repertoire of music? So I took a break from music for two years to study and work and just live life in general and I went traveling to Europe last year and saw the dance scene happening there and just got so inspired to make music again and it was so organic and so pure that I couldn't stop, I must've bashed out the tracks in 4 months from that point. What can your fans expect next from you, Corbon Amodio? Fans can expect bigger and better things, as cliche as that sounds this is the first time that I've really thought about my approach and style and portrayal of this pop dance character I've created and so with every single release a bit more of the character will be revealed (whether it's in a video or photo, etc). instagram.com/corbon_amodio facebook.com/corbonamodio #BuzzMusic

One that builds gradually with the beat and seems to fill my body with the start of the chorus. Now, Lazy Guys’ origin story is just as exciting as their music.
