- The Frost Duo Releases Cozy Holiday Jazz Single "Play Nice"
Remember The Frost Duo? A collective of smooth jazz soundings, combined with heart-melting vocals. Now you probably remember! The group has recently come out with new music, and just in time for that warm holiday feeling! Their recently released track, "Play Nice", was evidently featured on Smooth Jazz Global as #49. What a perfect way to collectively showcase their harmonies and what they're capable of together! "Play Nice" is extremely serene and full of passion. It has the most intricate flow to it and encapsulates a warm vocal performance for listeners. Like a smooth jazz group, we can expect that natural flowing tendency from The Frost Duo, and it's much more than we initially expected! The vocal delivery is almost hypnotic with the delicate outflow of harmony. Once we begin to come to the end of the track, we receive such a playful humming melody from The Frost Duo, which solidifies that nice, charming element that's ever so present throughout the track. The Frost Duo always has a way of making our bodies warmer, and our hearts fuller. The power of jazz! Needless to say, we're keeping up to date with The Frost Duo, and what they'll be releasing in the New Year! Listen to "Play Nice" here. Hi there The Frost Duo! Welcome to BuzzMusic, and congratulations on your recent release "Play Nice". How do you all feel collectively on the release of this track, and how it came to fruition? We are really proud of this song. It’s a different feel than some of our listeners are used to, but fans really seem to be enjoying it, and new listeners are falling in love with the song which makes us so happy. Play Nice is about being backstabbed by someone you trusted and letting karma take its toll. This happens often in the music business and that’s what happened to us. We took an unpleasant experience and turned it into music. "Play Nice" featured warm and cozy elements, which made us feel in the holiday spirit even more than we already do! What was the general ambiance you were looking to achieve within your listeners for "Play Nice"? Haha! We’re glad it does. Although, we’re a little surprised! Instrumentally, the sounds are meant to be cool and soothing but eerie As well. "Play Nice" featured #49 on Smooth Jazz Global! What an exciting accomplishment for you all! How did it feel to get the track featured on the chart? It felt pretty good to know we received so much airplay that we debuted at number 49. We were not expecting that. We’re an unsigned Group, which can be a struggle for any artist. Knowing what program directors and listeners believed in that song is the most amazing part. Not to mention, it was pretty cool to be charting with Legendary artists such as Herb Alpert (sat at #4). Where do you see The Frost Duo's music progressing on from here? We strive to stay multi-genre and stress the point to listeners that we never want to settle for one style. Right now, we’re feeling jazzy. We have been hitting the studio quite a bit and we might have a smooth jazz/R&B EP in the works for late 2020, or beginning of 2021. Thanks to The Frost Duo for your time! Now that "Play Nice" is released and out to listeners, is there already another track in the making, or is The Frost Duo planning on taking a break for the next few months? We put out our debut Multi-genre album out in April, and most recently “Play Nice.” We love writing and I don’t think we will ever take a break. Being we have an EP in mind, we’re going to focus on creating music for that release, but you never know when we will decide to up and release a new song! While we’re working on new music though, Instrumentalist of The Frost, Christian Gratz, put together a solo album of his own called “1979.” It is inspired by all different sounds of the 70s. The album has a soft rock sound and some jazz instrumentals added to it as well. That will be out on January 31 and is well worth taking a listen to. thefrostduo.com #BuzzMusic #music #jazz #indie #independentmusic
- Watch out for Alex Kautz, Turning Heads With His New Single "Mississippi Novocaine"
If you’re on the hunt for incredible, fresh music to jam to, look no further! Alex Kautz has been working hard over the past year, releasing new music that has blown us away. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Alex Kautz is 25 years old and is pursuing music in the form of singing/songwriting. His first four singles were released earlier this year, and Alex Kautz is still hard at work on new music. Along with his enjoyable songs, another important aspect of a song for Alex is the music video. He works hard to create visually appealing and meaningful music videos that will catch the attention of his audience. We can’t wait to hear what else he has in store in the coming year. “Mississippi Novocaine”, Alex’s latest single, features lively vocals and a backing track that is sure to make you want to dance along. The alternative pop single makes use of an energetic beat and a catchy melody that would make for an incredible atmosphere during a live performance. The energy is kept at a high throughout the song, and then slowly fades as the song finishes and Alex Klautz stuns us all with his falsetto. Along with Alex Kautz’s vocal ability, his lyrics will turn heads. If you were looking to hear more, don’t worry! A brand new single titled “Mr. Prescription” by Alex Kautz will be available on January 2nd, 2020! Check out “Mississippi Novocaine” by Alex Kautz here. Hey Alex Kautz, Thanks for chatting with BuzzMusic today! We really enjoyed listening to your most recent single, could you tell us about the recording process for this song? Sure! While Mississippi Novocaine is a super catchy pop song, it's also a personal one. In the music video, I wake up in a hospital gown, trapped and hooked to IV's. I don't want to spoil it for you, but the IV's are attached to an evil, mysteriously masked creature who's sucking my blood. I love making music videos because they allow me to share even more of my artistic process. What message are you hoping to get across to your listeners? How do you hope they interpret “Mississippi Novocaine”? in 2017, I went to Mississippi for the first time. It was the first time I met my ex-boyfriend's parents, and also the first time someone rolled their car window down and yelled "faggot" at while walking the sidewalk! Novocaine is an anesthetic used for numbing patients during surgery. Mississippi Novocaine is a song about how I still hook up because it numbs the pain of my loneliness. We’ve all grown up admiring someone that we only hope to emulate, who would you say is your biggest inspiration musically? That's an easy one for me - Gaga! Watching her express herself through music, TV shows (like American Horror Story), & film has been so inspiring and I intend to follow in her footsteps. Am I off to a good start? Do you ever have trouble coming up with new song ideas? How do you stimulate yourself creatively? Honestly, I'm so ADD that I don't usually have trouble coming up with new ideas. I'm also 25, so I've experienced relationships, love, death... there's so much to write about that I haven't even touched on yet. I have my hand in a lot of pots -whether it be fashion, music, video, makeup... I surround myself with things that spark my creativity! Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with us today, Alex Kautz! Is there anything you can tell us about your upcoming single? Any other big plans for 2020? Well, I'm releasing my D E B U T album in 2020, so I've got a few tricks up my sleeve! I'm celebrating the New Year with the release of my fifth single, Mr. Prescription (Available on January 2nd)! Besides that, everything seems to be coming together... & I can't wait to release the EP of my dreams. facebook.com/alexkautzmusic instagram.com/alexkautzmusic twitter.com/alexkautz_music #BuzzMusic

Recording artist LM Eazii currently resides in Philadelphia, and is making waves within the music industry with his Hip/Hop and Rap stylings! One major element to the sound that makes up LM Eazii is his inherently natural talent at communicating his verses with listeners throughout his tracks. We don't feel intimidated by LM Eazii--we feel at ease with him and his sound. LM Eazii has had a passion for music engrained within him for as long as he can remember, and once he started curating music, that passion finally had an outlet. Now releasing new music, LM Eazii is showcasing a variety of his artistic talents with listeners, and recently, this came through the release of "Crescent Moon". "Crescent Moon" has been released by LM Eazii, and the track features a heavy Hip/Hop and Rap sounding. However, we definitely have to note the underlying beat, and how insanely catchy its repetitiveness is throughout the track. LM Eazii strategically executes his vocal performance by ensuring he doesn't overpower the melody, but also that the melody doesn't overpower him. And so, we have the perfect equilibrium between artist and production, which we don't always receive with artists! LM Eazii isn't a newbie to the music scene though, which is why the crafting of "Crescent Moon" is smooth and flows effortlessly. LM Eazii's music is featured across all platforms, which means it's quite easy to give a listen to the artist and his manifested truth-telling in his tracks! Give a listen to "Crescent Moon" here. The truth usually hits people at a level where it causes reaction...I understand this is a new age of sensitivity & I want to put that to the test. So I speak my mind at a rate where it should ruffle some feathers. Would you say that your initial vision for "Crescent Moon" maintained itself all throughout the recording process, or was it switched-up at any point? Do you typically remain constant with your vision, or is your vision dynamic and constantly changing? Yeah, when I wrote it I had this pain/honest episode. My feelings for a beat maintains itself, especially when it's strong. On the contrary, I do switch up sometimes. Sometimes it takes a while for me to catch feelings for a beat but crescent moon came naturally. There are definitely prominent contemporary soundings within "Crescent Moon", as well as other tracks you've notably released. Do you embed modern elements within your tracks purposefully, or does that just come with the synthesizing of the beat? Oh yeah. I have to keep up with the times...you have to adapt when the world is on a new wave...I try to connect the new with my traditional rapping style... it's all purposely! You may even see me do tracks with melody throughout...I'm inspired by this new generation...they're really dope. We all have our songs that we listen to for encouragement and to give us that exciting push. “Another One” energy radiates through the music onto the listener to give you a more vibrant but aggressive vibe. You can listen to “Another One” by MonClaire here. Welcome to BuzzMusic MonClaire! What initially inspired you to pursue music? I originally fell in love with music at an early age listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Snoop Dogg, and Lil Wayne. The combination of the genres has inspired me to make the music I do today. Tell us about your song “Another One”. what was the meaning behind the lyrics in this record? After taking a Hiatus from rapping in my previous album “Substance” I wanted to get right back into the cadence of verses and show the world I can still rap. I think I did that on this record while including a hook with a touch of melody in it. Knowing you have the ability to blend together hip-hop and pop, how would you describe the production of “Another One”? The production of Another One was unique during the mixing process. Also adding melodies to the hook and adlibs throughout the verses was critical in the success of this record. What was the most challenging aspect of creating “Another One” and why? I personally don’t like to think that creating songs are challenging I believe its a natural form of art and a way each person gets to express themselves. Each person gets to develop a different meaning to the track when listening as well. I love writing and recording so, personally creating music isn’t challenging. What’s next for you MonClaire? MonClaire will be releasing a song titled “Chosen” on New Years Day in 2020 along with a video to the song “Got Me So”. MonClaire will also be releasing a new single at least once a month in 2020 while working on my next album. twitter.com/monclairemusic instagram.com/monclairemusic #BuzzMusic
- GR3YWXLF Returns With Exceptional New Single "Xmas@Thewxlves"
GR3YWXLF, the Jamaican born London native brings a unique style to the conventional UK hip-hop genre. GR3YWXLF has been diligently carving his own signature sound into the woodwork by spending all of 2019 crafting and delivering new songs like this. He specializes in villainy, poetic musings and ranging flows, which display his range as more than a rapper; he is an abstract life narrator. His new song "Xmas@theWxlves" could be compared to artists like Childish Gambino, MF Doom and Chance the Rapper. The song has a delicate piano melody in the background, combined with a gentle beat. To top it off, GR3YWXLF raps with an English accent, making his smooth and slightly hoarse voice even more alluring. The combination of these qualities making the song both bold and relaxing at the same time. GR3YWXLF has been working tirelessly to drop multiple songs this year, and with each release, he is further solidifying his place in the alternative hip-hop lane. It is invigorating to hear an artist that has such a one-of-a-kind music style, and it can certainly be said that we want more! Put those headphones on and crank up the volume because you’re going to want to listen to this one on repeat. Listen to "Xmas@theWxlves" here Welcome to BuzzMusic GR3YWXLF, we’re very excited to have you! Can you tell us about your intentions when crafting the new song “Xmas@theWxlves”? Yo! Thanks for having me back again. With this new song, I just wanted to create something a little different and experimental. More so with the holiday season upon us and the year fast closing, I figured it would be a good opportunity to end on a fun, unique note. You’ve been working hard to release multiple songs this year! Can you tell us where this motivation and inspiration come from? It has been a busy year for real, I think I'm sitting on 13 releases at the moment which looking back seems wild especially when doing everything on my own. Motivation wise I told myself when 2019 began I'd go hard in the paint with it so that in turn has kept me inspired throughout. Getting a look in from yourself and other publications has also really helped with the grind too. Who is your biggest influence musically? How do they influence your music specifically? I'm into a lot of different types of music so I'd be citing artists till the cows come home. Rather than having just one big influence though it's more the culmination of many smaller influences. Being big on authenticity I really dig artists like Mac Miller (rest in peace), SZA, SiR and Childish Gambino to name a few. So I guess this has meant that I'm naturally drawn to making music that's grounded and personable. What are some of your major goals as an artist? How are you working towards achieving these? Man, I just want to make stuff that people can vibe with, songs for various moods and all that. As an independent artist, it's really easy to have all these lofty dreams but honestly, I'd just love to hear my drops on TV, maybe a tour or something that would also be pretty cool. We enjoyed having you here on BuzzMusic! Could you tell us more about what’s we can look for next from you? Great question. I'm still working out where I'm heading next with it all but aiming to continue with frequent single releases, that and perhaps an EP. Either way, I'll keep you in the loop as you have blessed me with some dope support and I'm really grateful for that! INSTAGRAM // FACEBOOK // TWITTER #BuzzMusic
- Bryan Lazar Covers Holiday Track "Last Christmas"
Recording artist Bryan Lazar has come out with his takes on some of our favorite holiday classics with the release of his EP "Sleigh My Name"! It's an exciting time of year to receive all of these covers from songs we know so well, and incredibly more exciting to hear the exclusive harmonies from Bryan. Bryan Lazar is currently in the process of creating his fifth (yes, fifth!) EP titled "LAWET", which is expected to be released within the first few months of 2020! We're excited to hear more, but for now, we're enjoying the pleasant soundings of Bryan and his take on holiday sounds! Bryan Lazar has come out with a rendition of our favorite Christmas classic, "Last Christmas"! And wow, what a cover! Those notable rustic elements to Bryan Lazar's voice are so easily present within the track and is actually a pinnacle of Bryan's sounding. He definitely adds another take on the track that we haven't heard, which is impressive, because by now we've heard hundreds of covers from the lovable Christmas classic. The prominent guitar soundings embedded throughout the track add to that rustic and rock-like feel, and once we near the end of the track, we get a prolonged guitar performance that adds to the track in so many ways. All in all, we were happy to hear the soft and raw soundings of Bryan Lazar over this holiday season, and we're hoping to hear more of his staple soundings in the year to come! Listen to Bryan Lazar's rendition of "Last Christmas" here. Hey Bryan Lazar! Welcome back to BuzzMusic. 2019 has been extremely successful for you. What is the highlight of the year for you? Thank you! Happy to be back, always enjoy sitting down and talking with you. 2019 was really a momentous year for me personally. I released more music than any other year and we finally finished a record that I've been working on for the last few years. I played a ton of successful gigs and met a bunch of great musicians all around LA. I'm truly stoked on the productivity that took place this year and the growth of both my music career and myself. We love your new cover of "Last Christmas". It's the perfect holiday song! What inspired you to write this song? It's actually a cover...Wham's "Last Christmas" has been covered about a billion times (Ariana Grande, Jimmy Eat World, Michael Buble, etc.) but I always loved this track so I wanted to put my twist on it. The guitar groove was kind of the first thing I ended up coming with and built all around that but I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out. It's a little different than the rest of the Christmas tracks that I put out and I think that's why it's my favorite. To craft a special song about the holidays, what does Christmas mean to you as an artist? Don't tell anybody...but I was actually raised Jewish so this is actually not my forte. But besides Adam Sandler's tracks, we don't really have anything that "slaps" as the kids would say so I thought I'd give it a shot. I released another Christmas song a few years ago "Please Come Home for Christmas" that ended up doing pretty well so I thought let's try putting a few tracks out and see how it goes. When writing holiday songs, do you take inspiration from any other artists? Of course! I'm always listening to newer and catalog tracks and thinking "oh I like that progression, I should try something like that" or I'll go see a show and want to run back home to create more. I think all artists and songwriters use inspiration they hear every day. What's next for Bryan Lazar in 2020? I will finally be releasing my 4th studio record "LAWET" which has been in the works for some time now. I am very excited for this product to finally be finished and to get it out there. I will also be releasing a few other projects that I have been working on so be sure to look out for that as well. A new record needs to be supported with some great live performances so I plan on playing a decent amount of shows in 2020 so don't be shy to come on out and say hi! bryanlazar.com #BuzzMusic
- CSpring Releases The Soulful Trap EP, “Growth”
By the title itself, you know you’re about to embark on a journey through music. Boston rapper CSpring released his EP titled “Growth” and this project was mesmerizing. The EP begins with an opening song called “Memories”. “Memories” begins with an opening dialogue that sets off a thought-provoking vibe before the uptempo delivery comes in. the lyrics behind “Memories” felt super authentic and personal to the journey of CSpring. The aesthetic of the beat had this smooth-sailing soulful trap vibe that you won’t hear in most songs. The next single that transitioned in was “Radio”. Radio had delightful energy and a raw lyrical arrangement. CSpring continued to show us his hunger, passion and drive he has for success through the songwriting of “Radio”. However, one of my personal favorites on this EP was the next song “Lake House”. “Lake House” was a memorable record for me because the hook was melodically beautiful. The orchestration of the vocals in the hook was just simply gorgeous. The passion for CSpring’s delivery through the verses helped emphasize the importance of the record. Not to mention the title of the song was highly imaginative and played with our imagery. The next song completely compelled me. “Movin’ On” begins with a gorgeous acoustic guitar that strummed so riveting. The entire melody of the hook itself was captivating and bewitching. “Movin On” was the song that fully reeled us into the EP and song. You escaped your day to day thoughts and placed yourself into the scene of the song with the detailed lyricism that CSpring projected. The next song that comes into the EP was “Right In The Middle” and I felt as if this record was perfectly coordinated at the right measure of the album. Just like the title, the song fits smoothly into the middle of the chronological order of each of these heart-rendering tracks. What I appreciated most about this EP was how CSpring didn’t give us one dimension with this project. He fused together with the soulful elements of smooth R&B with the hard-hitting bars of classic vintage rap. This fusion is highly noticeable in the song “Mirrors”. Another component to “Mirrors” that I thoroughly enjoyed was the trendy punchlines incorporated in the songwriting. CSpring ends this album off with the song titled “Growth”. “Growth” was the perfect closer to this project because it resembled the opener. In the opener, CSpring gave us a dialogue that felt like he was searching for a reason and for more. What I’ve learned is that throughout these songs on this EP, CSpring takes you onto different meanings and lessons that he’s personally experienced. It’s like by the time you reach the closing song “Growth”, you feel spiritually cleansed, more mature, and elevated. CSpring released an EP that makes you feel multiple different emotions. He makes you think, he makes you feel, but most importantly he makes you understand him through his lyrics. Not many rappers have this skill. In fact, there’s only a select few like Kendrick and Jcole who does this for me. CSpring has undeniably proved to us that he is the next rap great and we’re excited to see him take over the industry! You can listen to “Growth by CSpring” here. Welcome to BuzzMusic CSpring! What were some of your early inspirations if you can remember? Honestly my mom and dad. I was super lucky to have two very cool and different parents who liked a wide variety of music. My sisters also liked a lot of cool weird stuff that would get passed on to me. I was always an analytical listener. If music was on, I was dancing and singing, literally, since the day I could talk and stand. But my biggest musical hero growing up was for sure Michael Jackson, everybody in my house would agree with that one. Tell us about your EP “Growth”. What was the main theme you were aiming for behind most of these songs? I kind of split my writing styles between singles and projects. Singles are always just bars etc, but when I do projects it’s always a story. This is basically just a continuation in my life off of my last project Thoughts From Dreams (2017). While my last project dealt with discussing a lot of childhood trauma and relationship issues this project was all about self-growth. The title is quite literal and details about a two year period in my life of intense change. Each individual song is really about dealing with a specific issue I felt a lot of people could relate to. I really just wanted to show everyone in their late 20’s that they aren’t the only ones feeling the pressure of growing up. Which song from “Growth” would you consider the most challenging to create and why? Oh, definitely Lake House. That’s one of the weirdest songs I’ve ever written. My extended family has been taking a trip to this lake house in New Hampshire the last couple of years and it’s one of the few vacations I allow myself. It’s been a yearly place of reflection and release from a lot of the stress I deal with. They have a piano there and the whole song is built around an iPhone sample of me playing it. The beginning is actually my dad making fun of me before I played the portion I sampled. From a production and vocal standpoint, it’s a bizarre arrangement and production style. I wanted to do something that had a sort of tribal rhythmic feel backing it up. It definitely took a while to feel confident in the song but it’s ended up being a favorite of a lot of people and I’m glad a wrote it. Which song on “Growth” do you feel has the biggest impact on you as a listener from your artist’s point of view and why? Definitely Mirror. It’s one of my favorites, and also the last track I wrote for the project. The song really is dealing with shame and self-hate. I’ve dealt with severe depression my entire life and it’s something that despite massive growth, I still struggle with daily. I’m a very confident person when it comes to my abilities but often get caught in the reflection of my past mistakes and trauma. Dealing with hating my own reflection is a constant battle and this song really captures that better than any I’ve ever written. Though it’s very painful to listen to. it’s also a constant reminder that all of that pain is in my head and I have the power to change that. Which song was your personal favorite on “Growth” and why? Probably the City of Angels, I think most people would agree. I had a blast making that song and then taking that whole trip to LA to shoot the video and network was so much fun. I’m blessed to call Kyle Bent my friend, we’ve made a lot of music together the past 2 years. Dudes are really doing a lot to help me out as a smaller artist in New England. The video came out great thanks to my homy Sir Casanova, my manager Chris Davis, and Mind Flex A&R Laith Rajab. Honestly watch the video and documentary, it will explain how much fun we had so much better than I can with words. What’s next for you in 2020 CSpring? So much more music. I got two more videos for Growth coming out, another track with Kyle and a surprise artist. Then a project with my bro Reggie Hue, a bunch of singles and videos. My band The Lost Collective has a project dropping soon. I’m producing a lot of other people now. Most importantly I got a release show January 31st Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA more details coming soon. The biggest thing in 2020 is to learn from my own project and keep growing! - Miles V Lays It All out With New Single “It’s True”
From the fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada - we are given Miles V. and his new indie rock powerhouse of a single “It’s True”. You know when a song starts playing for the first time, by any artist, and you are instantly roped in but also have a sense of direction of where it’s going? Well, you can add “It’s True” by Miles V. to this list! The song opens up with a catchy guitar lick that is present throughout the entire song. Much to the likes of most indie rock music, the production of the drums is not amazing, but again the genre and songs call for it. Lyrically, you hear themes of meditation and ego, which really makes you wonder if Miles V. is in touch with himself! Melody wise, the song is rich in powerful melodic hooks that give you that “instant classic” and sense of direction feeling (coupled with the guitar lick). Going back to the lyrics, if I could describe this song in 2 words, it’s “Self Aware” and that’s what “It’s True” is. It's easy as humans to point blame when things go wrong, but again, it seems like Miles V. is tapped into something and we are about it! By the end of the song, you’re ready for more music by Miles V and it’s the sort of vibe where you can let Spotify keep playing and doing its thing. For fans of Catfish & The Bottlemen and Said The Whale, we highly recommend giving “It’s True” a spin today! Listen here. Thanks for being with us at Buzz Music today, Miles! “It’s True” seems like an honest self-aware song that speaks to meditation. How important is it for you to practice mindfulness and meditation in your daily life? Thanks for having me! Yes, meditation is the most important part of my daily routine! I usually meditate for 20-60min. It has shown me not to run from my demons but to simply just sit with them. No labels, no attachment to thoughts or feelings, just seeing what they're about. The only way out is in! The vocal production is amazing but the drums seem reserved. Was this a conscious decision? Thank you. Yes, I wanted the drums to be a little quieter so the lyrics would pop out! I’ve been listening to a lot of Tom Petty lately and his vocals are very prominent, I like that!! Who was the producer of this song and was it your first time working together? I produced it myself! I did most of the recording at my house besides the drums! My good buddy Pat Hundley from Las Vegas mixed it and my other friend Paul Grundman from L.A. mastered it! They made it sound great! What do you hope listeners take away from “It’s True”? I want people to realize that everyone gets sad. Everyone has their own demons. Everyone is dealing with something and that’s OK. The only way out is in! Lastly, do you have any final words for your fans and anyone listening? Yes! I want to end by quoting Jim Carrey by saying, “You can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.” Thank you! instagram.com/milesvmusic facebook.com/milesvmusic twitter.com/milesvmusic #BuzzMusic
