  • Emergency Tiara Releases Upbeat Pop Song “Do Not Disturb”

Emergency Tiara, a spirited pop group based in New York, is lighting a fire with their new release “Do Not Disturb.” The group’s curator and lead singer, Juri, creates songs that fall into a variety of genres; from French noir to J-Pop and everything in between! Born and raised in Tokyo, Juri has been uplifting audiences for a long time. She has worked with many industry icons including Tata Vega, Bootsy Collins, Raheem DeVaughn, Dontae Winslow, and Valerie Simpson. “Do Not Disturb” is a bright and bustling pop song with hints of indie. Besides an energetic drum beat, there is minimal background music in the song which spotlights Juri’s voice. She has a unique sound like nothing you’ve heard before and topped it off with a large range. When Juri hits her high notes with a slight edge it brings out the real feeling she puts into her music. The emotion in the vocals for such a lighthearted beat and melody is refreshing. Lyrically, the song is about “shutting the door” on heartbreak and rebuilding the life she had before her relationship. The words are uplifting and motivate the listener to appreciate life without disruption from others. Emergency Tiara has recently been making waves in the music industry by performing at SXSW and Primavera Sound Festival. They have even toured with Belinda Carlisle in the UK as the supporting act. With such an impressive history of performing, we are excited to see what Emergency Tiara has to offer us next. Listen to Emergency Tiara here. instagram.com/emergencytiara #BuzzMusic

  • Vealy Lifts Spirits with New Release “Mama’s Song”

Vealy is an up and coming Filipino singer and songwriter who just released a song that will surely make 2020 your year. Her newest release “Mama’s Song” kicks off with a heavy beat and a serious tone. It quickly builds into a catchy melody that makes you want to sing along before you even know the lyrics! She transitions from her former misconception of “having it all” to still having a “ways to go.” “Mama’s Song” continues to strengthen until it reaches its bold chorus. Vealy brings a wonderful combination of sincerity and euphoria. The beat will have you tapping your feet while the lyrics encourage you to sit up a little straighter. She shares with us her resilience and spirit by repeating many times that “this pain will turn to beauty.” She finishes off with the strong assertion: “so give me pain, I won’t complain – one day I will be free,” mirrors her journey in pursuing her music career. Vealy moved to the United States at age 17 to study nursing in Chicago. She then discovered her passion for performing, singing, and songwriting and began her music career. After working as a nurse for a year she mustered the courage to pursue music in Los Angeles. She is now a full-time musician with original and inspiring music who we hope to hear more from soon! Listen to "Mama's Song" here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Vealy! We really enjoyed “Mama’s Song,” can you tell us more about the writing process of the song? I was feeling like I gave up my dream the day I wrote this song. Many reasons, one is that my bank is running dry-- I haven't worked as a full-time nurse (I quit nursing last year to pursue singing and songwriting). Second reason, I'm going back to nursing full time. And that was my life before! Full time nurse and music was thrown to the side, not a priority at all. So I sat at my piano and started playing chords-- within minutes, the chorus was made, and I felt better immediately! "I know this pain will turn to beauty. Nothing worth it comes easy!" My perspective changed-- I became excited to start nursing again, so I could get back on my feet. Get money, be able to fund my music and this independent career! What would you say was the main inspiration for you while writing “Mama’s Song”? I felt better as I was writing Mama's Song, and I thought that if this song made me feel better, I think it would make other people who listen to it feel better too! So I finished writing it, then recorded and produced it at the VisionQuest Sound Studio with my good friend, Philip. You spent your childhood singing Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and Diana Ross. Could you tell us how they have influenced your music? Haha. Yes! I sang all of their songs in parties, karaoke, and even singing contests! I would say that their singing style and their song structures influenced me. How they're all divas and sing these big, epic, emotional songs! Haha. I'm actually having trouble trying to write a more "chill" more "casual" song. But I think I'll get there ;) You have had a love for music since such a young age! How do you think your music has changed over the years? As a kid, I really just started out as a singer. I would compete in these shows where all the other kids had crazy good pipes! Then I turned 10, and I got interested in playing the piano. So I got piano lessons from the pianist at church! I learned how to sightread and then eventually became the church pianist. Then after being okay at playing the piano and sightreading, I got very interested in playing the violin. So then I also took lessons until I learned just enough. Haha. I was very proper with regard to music! I read exactly how things are written-- I never dared to write anything new or improvise. Not until 2 years ago when I really started writing my own songs. And about a year ago, I started learning how to produce and started producing my own music. I've got a long way to go, and I'm excited!! You are currently performing in local shows and sometimes even busking on occasion! Can you tell us about some of your upcoming shows? Yes! My most recent show was in Hotel Cafe's mainstage which I thought was crazy that I got to perform there! I'm gonna start busking again on Melrose Ave this month! And in February, I have a show at an art gallery/art shop in Venice Beach -- Amiga Wild. instagram.com/iamvealy #BuzzMusic

  • Exclusive Interview: The Radio Broadcast Talk Their Song "2 Young 2 Die"

Welcome to back to BuzzMusic The Radio Broadcast and happy 2020! 2019 was an amazing year for you and your music. What goals do you have set in place for 2020? Thank You! BuzzMusic is one of our favorites! You guys are always so nice! 2019 was a good year for us but we feel really strongly that 2020 has a lot of good things in store for us. We spent a lot of time last year working on our recently released album "2 Young 2 Die" and we would really like to get out more this year and show everybody what it is all about. We are looking to perform in some new areas, put out some new videos, meet some new people and share some fun experiences with anybody and everybody that wants to be involved. Congratulations on the release of your new song “2 Young 2 Die”. The title of the song speaks volumes, without hitting play. Can you give us an exclusive dive into what the meaning behind the song is and what message you want your audience to receive? The song is about a girl who isn't afraid to be herself and likes to have fun hanging out with friends partying and loving life. Living her life to the fullest without a care in the world even if tomorrow is her last day. Just trying to paint a picture to our audience that we are comfortable with who we are and we love to have fun. No matter what age you are you can always have a good time as long as you are true to yourself. Life moves quick take it one day at a time and we are all 2 young 2 die. We know you love to perform live! Do you have any goal cities, venues or festivals that you'd like to perform at this year? For us it is really difficult to set a goal for cities and events that we would like to perform at because some of the cities are not within our reach at the moment and there is a communication gap for many of the events we would love to be a part of but we are willing to take on many of the opportunities that are offered to us. As far as upcoming performance dates for this year we only have one event scheduled as of now and that is for the Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg PA at the end of Feb. We do however have strong intentions to return to the midwest this summer and hit some of our favorite spots from our tour last month (Dec2019) with hopes of some new stops. Possible locations would include Cincinnati, Memphis, Chicago, St. Louis, but there really are so many areas we would like to visit and perform and it all just depends on what the Universe has intended for us. As a musical duo, how do you both balance each other's artistic vision and make it come to life within your music? For us, it really isn't as difficult as you would think. First off we are very like-minded, so no matter who comes up with the idea first or if it was thought out together we both have the same vision for an end result as far as the overall sound we are looking for or trying to achieve. So if Michael comes up with a percussive rhythm and a synthy bassline Kristin already knows the sounds we are looking for and will lay down a synth line or burst out with some lyrics and effects that right away fit with our collective vision of the sound we want to produce Or even the other way around for that matter. We collectively created TRB together under the influence of the same music and the same thought process. Since the beginning, we have known what we wanted to achieve musically as far as our sound goes but it was finding the right elements to create the sound you hear today. As “2 Young 2 Die” was an absolute hit from The Radio Broadcast, what can fans expect next? We're looking forward to a new year of new music! Well if you are talking about "2 Young 2 Die" as a single then please check out the rest of the album titled by the same name "2 Young 2 Die". We have many more tracks on that album with a very similar sound that we are so proud of! Our new album "2 Young 2 Die" Was just released at the beginning of last month (Dec 01/2019) and we are still pushing that pretty hard right now. We have many more tracks we will be released as singles with video to follow but as of now the full album is available on all streaming services and as well as available for purchase through band camp and we should see it on iTunes shortly. We do have several tracks that were not able to make it onto the album due to deadlines but they are not forgotten and we will probably be working on them later in the year with another possible release by the end of this year beginning of next. • Exclusive Look: Mostly Empty Reveals His Truth in “After Life” Music Video

Pittsburgh’s Mariano Torrez chose his stage name Mostly Empty at a time in his life where he felt deflated and unmotivated. By using this name, he put his authentic self on the line and opened the door to free expression through his art. Mostly Empty composes and arranges all of his songs, but some great friends such as Adam Davila also collaborate to give his music its final sounds. After watching the video for “After Life” it is obvious that Mostly Empty uses personal experiences to provoke emotional feelings from his audience. The video is an inspiring metaphor that describes different stages of his life through two different scenes. In one setting Mostly Empty is found wandering around his bedroom, staring out the window, and even laying in his bed beside an assortment of medications. This scene evokes feelings of regret and doubt; it is used to describe the low stages in his life. The second setting, which is used for most of the video, is of Mostly Empty hiking through a forest. There are many shots of him ducking under trees, climbing up mountains and avoiding other obvious obstacles. The obstacles were a symbolic representation of hardships in life that almost anyone can relate to. Mostly Empty is wearing a determined and hopeful expression in these scenes as opposed to his attitude when he was in his bedroom. He claims that all of his songs have a place in the journey of his life, and “After Life” represents the peace he has currently found in his journey. instagram.com/mostlyemptymusic facebook.com/mostlyempt witter.com/mostlyemptmusic #BuzzMusic

  • NEW RELEASE: By an ion Has Came Out With "Shadow Knife" & Remixes For the Track

By an ion consists of music duo Alex Gonzales and Ray Aguilar. Right out of San Diego, CA, By an ion mixes tracks and releases music that contains serious vibrations. The two have always focused on creating a certain kind of ambiance that is cinematic and eccentric in all ways. This is definitely the type of sound we receive from the duo, and especially so with their recent release of "Shadow Knife" as well as the remixes for the track itself. "Shadow Knife" proves itself to be a mystic and psychedelic track. The track itself begins with the alluring appeal we've become so accustomed to from By an ion, which comes in the form of their captivating synth integration. There are so many fitting places that the soundings of By an ion can be listened to. That's the kind of dynamic By an ion goes for--the ability for his music to be understood and captured at any moment. "Shadow Knife" feels very atmospheric, but this overall ambiance comes in many varying forms. At first, we feel stuck by the otherworldly sound that By an ion emulates, and then we feel more spiritual as the track continues itself. The vocal performance and its echoing effect transcend the listeners' experience into an even further ethereal vibration. "Shadow Knife" is a staple of a song that really solidifies the type of music By an ion creates! Listen to "Shadow Knife" here. twitter.com/byanion instagram.com/by_an_ion_official #BuzzMusic

  • Walking Through Brianna Corona's Explosive 2019

20-year-old recording artist Brianna Corona gave us a seriously impressive tracklist to listen to this 2019. One of her tracks, "broken letters" was released during 2019, and features the contemporary ballad of Brianna. "broken letters" is the kind of song that makes you feel reflective of your own personal life. Brianna Corona outlines her own experience of heartbreak, which is what makes the track so incredibly vulnerable. The lyricism is very personalized to Brianna's life, and as we listened to the entirety of "broken letters", we felt undoubtedly connected to Brianna's private life. We love getting that peak into the true realities of an artist through their music, as Brianna Corona executed this aspect in the most appropriate way. As we continue on her tracklist, we come across Brianna Corona's 6-track EP "Words" that was released this year! The actual track "Words" is much more alluring and sensual than previous tracks Brianna offers us. "Words" is very expressive, methodical and smooth! The lyricism is super silky, and Brianna showcases that vocal versatility so well within this track. She drags out her words to offer that mystic and deepened effect to her sound, which is an attribute that really characterizes the track. A more light and airy component to Brianna Corona's voice actually gets brought out in "Guessing Game", which was her mid-summer track debut, including an eclectic music video. "Guessing Game" features some prominent House soundings that once combined with Brianna's exuberant vocalism synthesizes the most fitting pop track. These electronic/house elements are still incorporated into the main production of the track, and the lyricism of artist SOUNDS and Brianna Corona together ensure that pop/club styling. All in all, we're impressed by what Brianna Corona has offered her listeners musically this year, and we're looking forward to what's in store for her artistically next year! Listen to Brianna Corona here. Hey, Brianna Corona! We're happy we get a chance to talk over your music! 2019 was a serious year for you in terms of creating and recording. How do you feel now that the year is coming to an end? Hey! Thanks for interviewing me, it’s a serious time of reflection right now. I’m definitely happy with how far I’ve come over the past year. But even so, I know there is so much more in store for me with 2020. With all that I experienced in 2019, I can honestly say I feel ready to jump into greater and more challenging projects this new year. More than anything, I’m just so grateful to have received all the love and support throughout this start to my career. This new decade feels like a fresh start, and I’m feeling more inspired than ever. Your EP release "Words" was a phenomenal collection of the sounds that really characterize your sounding. Which track off of "Words" was the most personalized? Thank you so much! I really do feel it was a good representation of me 2019. I would say that “Changed” was the most personalized off the EP. It’s a song that I know I will always relate to, because we are constantly changing as people. But not only that, I think that song represents me transitioning into the artist I am today. When I wrote “Changed”, I was letting go of many things holding me back from happiness and personal freedom. I was moving on from a chapter in my life. Every time I hear it or sing it, it always brings me back to that release of my negative emotions. I think in the future, my music will be more personal like “Changed” was. We really resonated with your track release of "broken letters". This track felt incredibly raw and vulnerable from your end. Is it difficult for you to synthesize this honest sounding within your music, or does it come naturally to you as an artist? There’s kind of two sides to this answer. When I actually write these types songs - or any of my songs really - the realness comes naturally. It’s easily most honest when I write alone. But when I bring it to the studio, sometimes I have a hard time conveying that emotion for recording. Mainly because I’m so focused on things being technically good, and it’s overall just a different vibe. I’m most emotional when I perform live or write alone because I don’t think too hard about it. I’ve definitely come far with this over the past year though. I remind myself to be as raw as I was when I wrote it, when I record it. Regardless, I think for any person it will always be a little difficult to be open and honest with their feelings. Especially knowing it will out for the world to hear. As a self-taught pianist, do you prefer to incorporate your own production soundings when it comes to piano, within your tracks? I try to be open to new ideas in the studio. I think its important for me to grow as an artist and discover my true sound. I write almost all my songs with piano so I like to envision them with different production sounds and then compare the versions. However, because that acoustic sound is so real for me, I do hope to include more piano in my music for the future. But no promises! As I grow as an artist, I’m allowing this path to take me wherever it does, meaning my style could change without any of us seeing it coming. Compared to your first project "Easily Broken" in 2014, how do you think your sound has progressed overall now that we're looking over your 2019 releases?! Oh my goodness haha, I almost forgot about that! Easily Broken was a song I recorded the vocals for, but didn’t actually write. It was part of a multi-genre released album that I’m so grateful to have been a part of. It gave me one of my first experiences with originality and recording in a studio. My sound is definitely my own now. I think when I was asked to do that song, it was because it fit my voice well. I was still a kid, trying to learn how to use my voice right. Now I know my voice better than anyone (except maybe my amazing vocal coach!). But I don’t fit songs to my voice, I make them my own with my vocal features. I focus on the artistry in my sound and try to own that more than anything. Thanks, Brianna! We love chatting with you about your sound and your musical creations over this past year! Where's the road headed for you now artistically? I have so, so many great plans for my future as an artist, but I’m going to start with just 2020! I can’t exactly reveal all my goals, but some things planned include: new music (obviously!), music videos, & more shows to attend. To grow artistically, I also am trying to focus more on myself this year. Taking care of me and understanding my own choices. I think the more you reflect on why you do things, the better you understand yourself. The better I understand myself, the better I can express myself through song. Truly, I just want to continue to be a better songwriter every day. Thank you so much for having me again! instagram.com/bricomusic facebook.com/briannacoronamusic #BuzzMusic

  • Melaku Releases Invigorating Melodic Album “Dream World”

Melaku released his album titled “Dream World” and this project was beautiful and harmonically rich. The album begins with the song “Heaven Gate” and “Burning Flame.” Both of these songs served as great openers and as an introduction to the album due to the polished vocals and complex instrumentation. You can tell the songwriting approach behind both of these songs are filled with passion and represented an authentic state of emotions from Melaku. However, it wasn’t long for “I’m In Pieces” to really make us fall in love with the entire album as a whole. “I’m In Pieces” was a beautiful masterpiece. The hook was so addictive. We found ourselves replaying the hook over, and over in our heads after listening. The next single that transitioned on "Dream World" was “I Miss You." "I Miss You" is highly emotional. You got a strong glimpse of the passion Melaku has as an artist through the sentimental songwriting that was conveyed in "I Miss You." The refined melody in “I Miss You” was attention-grabbing, keeping you reeled in with the song and serenading us with each polished note. “All Over Again” showed significant diversity in comparison to the previous songs on "Dream World". Of course, it kept the vulnerable conviction of emotions as the focus, but the arrangement was more rhythmic as opposed to the songs prior. This was a thrilling song that we were able to induce into our memories as a timeless classic on the album. “Good Love” kept the theme of “Dream World” in-tact. This love song took a different approach instead of a one-dimensional sad ballad. Instead, Melaku gives you an acoustic rhythm that creates a vibrant country aesthetic for the song. The next track that transitions in was “Dreamin”. "Dreamin" took us back into that place of sentimentality. After having a joyful escape, Melaku brings us into a transcending elevation of emotions with “Dreamin’ to match the title of the song. It was coordinated perfectly at the most fitting spot on the album, giving Melaku an edge on his strategic arrangement. "Dream World" closes off with the song “Ascension”. "Ascension" was a beautiful ending to the album that was equipped with intoxicating melodies and chords. It felt like the ultimate ending to a beautiful notable journey that you embarked on. All in all, “Dream World” by Melaku was a tender album that combined lush harmonies and moving lyrics to create the ultimate collection of introspective delight. With riveting bursts of guitar and quality vocal delivery, this album has impressed us to the full capacity. • Spectoral Is Back and Better Than Ever With the Release of "CELESTIAL"

Spectoral creates unification within his sound. Every aspect that he takes into his music and blends together creates a different kind of atmosphere from what you're used to. A look back at Spectoral's 2019, we saw the release of "What You Want", the first track off of Spectoral's second EP. "What You Want" recently debuted again with a music video, and we love the tenacity and vigor present within Spectoral for the release of this video! We can definitely see the music of Spectoral on hit radio stations, but also in clubs, or on your work out playlist. The possibilities of Spectoral's sound range, and it's within this range that he can be described as multi-categorical. Spectoral has been releasing new tracks lately, notably "CELESTIAL", a track that features such a strong combination of our favorite genre sounds. "CELESTIAL" recently debuted from Spectoral and co-produced by Martiln. The track includes a swift integration of trippy and psychedelic synths. Those synths are what lay the foundation of what is "CELESTIAL", and even gives it the type of feeling that feels almost ghostly and airy. Spectoral alleviates any stress on your shoulders with the charismatic beat he enjoys with the blending of his eclectic lyricism. How can we even classify the distinctive sound of Spectoral? It's difficult to put genre-blending artists into a specific category because their music simply can't be categorized. For now, we'll say that Spectoral enjoys fusing together pop-like sounds with fundamental Hip/Hop and Electronic components. "CELESTIAL" is a multi-dimensional track, to say the least! "CELESTIAL" comes with an accompanying music video and it was nothing short of perfect. The visuals of this video were addictive to the eye, leaving us with a feeling of upliftingness. The video follows and displays an interesting message as it takes you through an out-of-body like experience. It's very well thought out and is nothing like what we've seen before. Bravo, Spectoral! Give a listen to "CELESTIAL" here. Hey Spectoral! It's great to get the time to chat with you about your music. How have you felt artistically over this past year? What's up team, it's great to get this opportunity to chat with you too! Mostly I spent the last year of the 2010s working behind the scenes, on a huge collaborative EP project for 2020. I also had the opportunity to upgrade some hardware and software in my studio which sets me up to dominate this new decade. And finally, I managed to release a couple of wonderfully ambitious music videos, "What You Want" and "CELESTIAL", I'm extremely proud of them and the team who worked on them with me. You can find them by searching Spectoral on YouTube! Congratulations on the release of "CELESTIAL"! A great way to end off your 2019 is releasing another track! How do you feel about the way the song was produced? Thank you! CELESTIAL has actually turned out to be one of the trippiest music videos I know of, particularly in the trip-hop / futurepop genre, so I couldn't be more excited about that. That song, both lyrically and in its sound design, always invoked these mental images of, like, astral projection, out-of-body experiences and the after-life, so the choice of synths and delays and fx was all really integral to selling the vibe of the track. If you've seen Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar", the interdimensional scenes where Cooper is trying to reconnect with Murph across space and time was a huge influence when I was writing the lyrics. I was trying to imagine dealing with the loss of someone I love, and I believe there's got to be some way to both stay united, it's just a matter of finding it, out there in the vastness of the universe. Martiln and I tried to capture that vastness, and the enigma of the universe, within the sound production of the song, before we even began planning the music video. Easier said than done. Since your music video debut for "WHAT YOU WANT" was so acclaimed, what was the reception like for people watching it's follow up, "CELESTIAL"? Oh, people have absolutely loved it, sending me direct messages and comments on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, about how it's affected them. I think the best way to experience CELESTIAL is while watching the video, so you get that full package of its intention. The song by itself is a little heartbreaking, so it was really important to juxtapose it with a colorful, compelling video to lift it up back into the pop vibe. It was a complete fluke that I found Julien Truebiger (http://julien.truebiger.de/), a brilliant hand-drawn sketch artist who really drove our vision, using gorgeous colorful pastels and stop-motion style sketches to give the entire video this wonderfully unique, dynamic feeling. It's so dope. I'm a big fan of Julien. You can watch the video below or at linktr.ee/spectoral What're the next steps for your artistic career within the year of 2020? Well as I hinted above and talk about on my Instagram a lot (@spectoral), I've been working on an ambitious collaborative EP project for about a year now. Every time I think I know what the final tracklist is going to be, along comes three more ridiculously awesome collaboration ideas with other producers and artists, and so I'm at this point now where I want to release so much music, but don't want to drop a debut album yet, so I'm going to do a two-parter dual EP release, maybe a year apart or something like that. The first EP is called "DARKNESS MAY FIND US and I've only very recently come to decide that part two is going to be "LIGHTNESS MAY BLIND US". My Spotify profile (search: "Spectoral") also just announced to followers there that I've got a major headliner live show on Feb 20th at The Toff in Melbourne. You can find deets at linktr.ee/spectoral - come say hi and have a drink with me after the show! We're appreciative to get the time to talk about your music! We're hoping your artistic 2020 brings the same success as your 2019! For now, where do you hope your artistic career takes off during 2020? Thanks so much, Buzz fam! Last year was really mostly getting my ducks in a row for this new decade. Between the EP and the string of singles it brings, I'm pretty confident it's going to be a doooope year. Thanks for sticking by me! linktr.ee/spectoral #BuzzMusic #independentmusic #indie #indiemusic

  • Senses Bring Us a Fresh New Punk Anthem “The Comedown”

Los Angeles based band Senses has released their debut single called “The Comedown”. This track is punk/pop with a killer dance vibe! “The Comedown” is the perfect song to rock out to during hard times. If you’ve ever been in the position where you have let yourself love only to end up brokenhearted you will have no trouble relating to the track. Senses bring nostalgia to their music by producing similar musical sensations to Paramore in their punk era. The band’s lead singer Madison rocks the vocals with edgy and thought-provoking lyrics. Her voice is powerful and dynamic, which fits well with the tone of the song. The song brings some attention to self-destructive behavior. Senses highlight the inner struggle of seeking bad moments (The Comedown) during good times. Instrumentally, guitarist Josh Bissel embodies the punk genre with unique melodies and strong cords during the lively chorus. Drummer Nick Sampson ensures that the beat never lets down, pounding especially during the chorus. The combination of the artists’ diverse talent is what makes this band something to look out for.
