Welcome to BuzzMusic Reggie, thank you for taking the time to chat with us! Tell us, how did you get your start in music? No problem! Thanks for having me. To be honest with you, I can't really say that I had a "start" to music, but what I will say is that the idea of making music came to mind at a very curious state in my life. At the time, I started to have a lot of questions about life and the struggles or circumstances we at times face, I had questions about God, questions about how he works amidst all of it, but I could never find a way to translate that into conversations to where I felt it would be received wholeheartedly and that's when I started to write and record music. What is your creative process like? How do you find your inspiration when creating new music? So, I'm kind of a busybody lol. When it comes to creating I'll sometimes sit and sift through 20-30 beats until something clicks and inspires me to write. A lot of times I'll have topics that I want to address but for whatever reason, I never know (at times) how I want to attack that topic. Idk how it is for other creatives, but music tends to emote something in me. Whether it be joy, sadness, pain, anger (almost never), etc., I feel inspired to speak on something. We really enjoyed your single “ERROR-404”. What is the meaning behind it? Oh, thanks! That's one of my favorites right now. Anyone who uses the web has at one point or time come across a page that doesn't exist. You may have typed the wrong website OR the right one, but you find yourself with a web error 404 "page not found" screen. Whether you're a musician, painter, actor/actress, writer, athlete, etc., you deal with a lot of comparisons. However, if you make it a goal for yourself to compete with yourself for the betterment of yourself, comparisons do not exist, competition does not exist, needing approval does not exist; the person your peers or society is trying to match you up against cannot be found because you are your only match and rival. What would you like your new fans to know about you and your music? If they've come this far, I think they should know that I am a Christian. I feel the need to share this first and foremost because I think in today's society, Christians have a bad reputation and the constructs made upon Christianity are a bit slighted. Having said that, I want to change that perspective. I'm only one being, but when people can relate to what's being said in your music, I think barriers start to break down. I talk about real life, the ups and downs we can face (even the ones we face more than others at times), but also the convictions and truths I hold to and live by. Thank you for talking with us Reggie! What are you looking forward to the most out of this year and what can we expect to hear from you? It's been a pleasure. If anything, I'm just looking forward to creating it. I have a lot of music in store for 2020 and not only because it's a new year, new decade, but simply because I've been honing in on what exactly I wanted to do coming out of 2019. The preparation has been really cool. All the life lessons and trials I faced up until now has been worthwhile, and it birthed Error_404 and it birthed a lot of my recent work as well too. All that to say, you can look forward to the sequel to 'Proceed With Caution' as well as a few visuals from me this year. I hope you can hear growth as well as some maturity and that you would follow me in the process. instagram.com/theycallme_reggie #BuzzMusic

  • Presenting You With A New and Unique Rock Sound, Ole King Cole!

Ole King Cole (also known as OKC) have taken creativity and originality to a whole new level. The band of four members rocks the stage incognito, to keep their personas mysterious for the general public. Not wanting to fit in with society’s expectations, Ole King Cole uses these alter egos to completely free their artistic expression, in the face of judgment and criticism that comes with the public eye. It wasn’t in their best interest to categorize themselves based on recognized genres, so Ole King Cole took it upon themselves to name their own genre, calling it ‘Organic-Clown-Filth-Rock’. Each of these words represents a key aspect of their musicianship. For example, ‘Clown’ refers to their costume makeup, as well as their comic approach to lyrics. OKC gave us a glimpse of their new track “Love in 2052”, which puts a chaotic twist on a typical rock song. Expressive guitar and percussion are blended with piercing vocals to give a retro sound. After a listen to this song, the ‘Clown’ element to OKC’s genre is obvious from their unconventional lyrics. Ole King Cole takes a different approach to their song-writing to let their creativity shine. With a strict rule that no song-writing session should last more than two hours, each piece created is unique to that session and results from peak concentration. “Love in 2052” is unpredictable and eccentric, leaving the audience waiting to hear what direction they will turn. This is one band you’ll want to watch out for! Check out “Love in 2052” here. olekingcole.co.uk #BuzzMusic

  • Fahia Buche Embodies Humility with “Million Bucks”

Fahia Buche is a Spanish singer-songwriter and pianist who performs at music festivals around the world. Fahia Buche is best known for her 2019 single “Everyday” which has over 200,000 hits on Spotify. Her genre is an artistic mixture of folk music, progressive rock, and indie-pop. Her song “Million Bucks” was released as part of a 5 track EP called “Shadows.” Lyrically, Fahia Buche expresses her concerns that most rich people spend their money selfishly, with no regard for those who are in need. “Wasting money, they’re not sorry” is repeated multiple times telling us that, in her opinion, the money could be better spent. She continues to explain what she would do if she had a “Million Bucks.” Throughout the song she stays consistent with her humanistic opinion, stating “money only has a value when you’re hungry.” Musically, in her song “Million Bucks” Fahia Buche exemplifies the tragic, yet glamorous melancholia of other indie-pop artists like Lana Del Rey. A slow-paced bass and snare drum are accompanied by an eerie background sound. The spotlight of the song is focused on Fahia’s delicate voice, giving the track a somber tone. “Million Bucks” is a song that will fit right into your chill playlist, while still bringing originality and a humbling message. Listen to "Million Bucks" here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Fahia Buche! We love your song “Million Bucks!” Could you tell us more about the message behind the song, and what influenced you to write about it? Hello and thank you! I came up with the idea of “Million Bucks” about a year ago when I decided to create a song with powerful lyrics. I wanted to reflect on the greed in the world and how money is wasted and spent on too many material things. I was influenced by what we see on social media nowadays, where there is a distortion of reality and an excess of consumption. I really enjoy expressing myself through my music and I have always felt I needed to make a song like Million Bucks. Growing up you studied piano and singing at the “Fundación Princesa de Asturias” and the “Luleå Tekniska Universitet”. Can you tell us how this has influenced the artist you are today? Before I started singing, I learned how to play the piano and began composing instrumental pieces at an early age. It didn’t take long before I realized I was able to sing, so I decided to join a choir to develop my vocal skills. The most important thing that I learned in a choir is that every single element is important and you have to pay attention to details, so I applied this knowledge to my music. All my piano and singing experience has also helped me to express my emotions in a stronger and deeper way. Growing up you admired the artists Lana Del Rey, Fleetwood Mac, Alan Parsons, and Joni Mitchell. Can you tell us how they have influenced your music? When I was a child, I listened to the radio every day and enjoyed all types of music, but when I heard Lana del Rey and Joni Mitchell for the first time, their voices caught my attention. They inspired me to become a singer and express my feelings with nostalgic melodies and lyrics. Alan Parsons, on the other hand, inspired me to experiment with the piano by adding electronic sounds and complex chords. Finally, Fleetwood Mac has shown me that you must not be afraid to experiment with your music and try new styles. You’ve performed at many festivals including Tour Music Fest in Madrid and The Cavern Club in Liverpool. Can you tell us about any upcoming shows or festivals? At the moment, I have some upcoming shows in Barcelona, Spain, but I am planning on making a European and US tour this year. It was great having you here on BuzzMusic! Can you tell us about any major goals you have for the future as an artist? Any major goals that you have already accomplished? I have always wanted to perform abroad, so being able to perform at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool has been an amazing accomplishment. Now, I am excited about what's coming in 2020. We are organizing a remix contest for “Million Bucks” on Kreasound.com, in which producers and Dj’s can participate until February 7th. I am also looking forward to performing in future European and US shows. It has been a pleasure to share my journey with you, thank you for having me! instagram.com/fahiabuche #BuzzMusic

  • Hip-Hop Artist Cort Knoxx is Back With "Modern Day Slavery"

Cort Knoxx is from Daly City, CA, where he presents a familiar rap style to his listening base. Although the soundings of Cort Knoxx bring back a sense of familiarity, there are elements to his music that feature heavier and more prolific vocalism. Cort Knoxx has successfully been releasing albums since 1998, which explains to us the quality of sound he's able to lead with. His most recent album was released, titled "Death To My Adversaries", maintains the effortless proficiency Cort Knoxx possesses during the entirety of his tracks. "Modern Day Slavery" was a recent track we've received from Cort Knoxx. Old school R&B/Hip-Hop listeners are in for a real treat with the soundings of Cort Knoxx. His release of "Modern Day Slavery" proved and solidified his artistic skills to us, as he shows his abilities to bring back the best 90's features, all the way from production to the intricate way he flows along with the execution of lyricism. "Modern Day Slavery" brings that all back without fabrication. It's easy to tell that Cort Knoxx is the real deal, and so it only makes sense that he continuously releases authentic tracks for listeners. We must say, we're ultimately impressed with this track, and mainly because of the expertise and musical knowledge it takes to pull off a track like this. Talk to us a little bit about your stage name! What’s the story behind “Cort Knoxx”? Well..... I started off using the name CSicc(Cee Sick) and had a good run as an artist with that stage name. Over time I matured as an artist and my music, life and character changed, so in 2007 I thought to rebrand myself. I was watching discovery channel and they had a special on Fort Knoxx and it’s importance. Right then a light bulb came on in my head and I thought “My name is Cortney” so I can turn Fort into Cort and add the Knoxx, and there it happened! We really enjoyed your single “Modern Day Slavery”. How would you describe your creative process behind this song? Thank You! I am very concerned about our youth and their direction, social media and the appetite for success and fame they don’t realize how we look as a people and as a collective. There is a certain integrity that we are loosing and myself Sean T and Kokane felt we needed to address the topic and be as raw as we can to get our message out because we care! What inspired you to write "Modern Day Slavery"? To uplift and try to change the course of a habit type behavior. We must empower our youth and lead them in a direction of longevity of life and meaningful upward movement and progression. Some of your musical influences are big names in hip hop. How have artists like Run DMC and LL Cool J helped to shape who you are as an artist? They helped shape me because I understand what the foundation is, as a kid I grew up with hip hop, we’re family, so over time I have matured and been molded to be an advocate for the culture, the music and the lifestyle as a whole, wholeheartedly.  You have a new album coming in late 2020 titled 'Death To My Adversaries'. What can we expect from this album? Expect nothing but Grammy type content, I plan to dig deep in my creativity and bring to fruition a collection that will be revered and preserved as a great collection to get people through their times in life good bad and ugly. instagram.com/cort_knoxx_the_ceo #BuzzMusic

  • BuzzMusic Exclusive: Kendra & the Bunnies Talks Upcoming Single "Silent Sleeper"

Welcome back to BuzzMusic Kendra! Talk to us about your stage name. What’s the story behind “Kendra & the Bunnies”? Thanks so much for having me! The name "Kendra & the Bunnies" -- Simply put, think Alice in Wonderland's white rabbit meets Jefferson Airplane's rock 'n roll song of the same name -- this juxtaposed to the dumb blonde playboy bunny character type... with multiple personalities that take the form of a band. I land somewhere in that land between hippie and valley girl. I have also had the nickname 'Kenbunny' for about 9 years now. We're so excited to have heard your new single "Silent Sleeper", available to the public on February 6! Talk to us about this song. What was the creation process like? "Silent Sleeper" was initially written in the spring of 2017. The song came to me in a flash of a few weeks where I was writing pop style ballads with tongue-in-cheek soul. I was in Denver at the time and recorded the lyrics and melody in one take onto my iPhone memos. The song was naturally divided into 3 sections and had this theatrical feel to it. So, I honored that when putting together the full composition and chords later on. "Silent Sleeper" is now available for pre-save. Add it to a playlist or your library here [https://ffm.to/kendraandthebunnies_silent-sleeper] How does "Silent Sleeper" differentiate from your past releases? It differentiates in the way that it is coming from an authoritative voice. A Mother-May-I, Mother Mary, type, who like an angel comes to awaken the dormant sleeper. "Let it Be" by The Beatles influenced some of the symbolism of the song, which actually came into fruition in the final composing stages. The rehearsing leading up to the recording stage is when I realized, "She comes to me..." is a really dreamy, nurturing refrain. What inspired you to write "Silent Sleeper"? What is the theme and message you're trying to deliver to your fans? A good girl friend of mine who was there for me during a very paralyzing time of my life was actually the original archetype for the angel character -- that paired with the soothing words I would tell myself during that same period -- became the basis of the song. Its thematic motif is a rotating ballerina dancer within a music box who turns and turns and turns and when the music box is closed, she stands paralyzed, waiting for the box to be opened again -- so she may sing and play. What's your favorite lyric line from "Silent Sleeper"? What does this line mean to you? "Oh my, from my toes to thighs, I'm walking down the road with ya." It is symbolic of walking around with someone in a dream you are having, realizing you are dreaming, and wondering "is this me?" -- so you look down and all you see are feet and legs and thighs. Deep breath. It is you in your favorite pair of shoes. Thank goodness your subconscious takes care of where you go in those shoes. What are you looking forward to the most out of this year in 2020? What can we expect to see from you? Performing! I've got a lot of shows lined up. Starting with a winter tour that goes from Los Angeles to Portland to Denver to Pennsylvania. This spring, I am playing a lot of NorCal, and this summer, Texas! "Silent Sleeper" is the first single from my upcoming full-length album, "of Thank You", which will be released this year. I have also already written the EP to follow it - titled, "of Consideration." Additionally, my third book of poetry is being compiled, and I am in the midst of writing a novel. Pre-save "Silent Sleeper" here. instagram.com/kenbunny facebook.com/kendraandthebunnies #BuzzMusic

"Can't Seem to Say It" does exactly this, regardless of the intended story. Once you delve deeper into the actual meaning of the song though, you can't help but feel addicted to the outcomes of Michael White's adventure. Explore Michael White's "Can't Seem to Say It" here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Michael White! What's the story behind "Michael White" the pop artist from Portland, Oregon? The story 'bout me?? I am a romantic, damaged soul who puts that into his music. I'm kidding, but I am also serious. If Khalid and Ariana Grande made a child.....that would be me. My main purpose is to bring nothing but positivity to my music. Whether it's the sound of the production or the lyrics. It's gotta make me feel something. How did you get into the pop music scene? I got into the pop scene because I felt as if it was the only genre here in PDX that was lacking. There is a wide variety of us in Portland but not a lot of Pop artists are being well represented. Don't get me wrong I love the RnB scene here, but it's all that the city is focused on. I want to expand that circle of artists and make it a new staple here in PDX We really enjoyed listening to your song "Can't Seem to Say It". How would you describe your creative process behind this record? It's funny because this track was supposed to be a ballad. Then one day this beat popped up on my feed and the lyrics just worked. It gave me the 80's & 90's vibes that I didn't know I was looking for. And that is what inspired the cover art as well. "Can't Seem to Say It" is very relatable. What inspired you to write this song? Can't Seem to Say It is me expressing how I feel about someone in a song because I can't say it to their face. I wrote this based purely on my own feelings. Not only that but my past experiences with being hurt time and time again. That's something I know someone listening can relate to. We've all had strong feelings for someone and they were never reciprocated back. We get hurt time and time again. But when you wanna say how you feel, you just can't. Because of that damn fear of rejection. What can we expect to see from you throughout 2020? MORE MUSIC. 2020 is about really creating a name for myself. Even if it's just in Portland. Working on getting myself out there. I want to put out an album by the fall. I want to perform more, and maybe even travel and make merch. But I do want to say, that if you have put dreams down because there wasn't any support from your peers. Keep doing what you do because someone out there will support what you do. Keep going for your dreams, even when you think it's too late. It's not. Keep dreaming love. instagram.com/michaeljwhitemusic #BuzzMusic

  • O'Ivy Spins Alternative Rock With Their New Single

Female-fronted pop-rock group O'Ivy just released a new single and it's completely fun, danceable, and gives a nod to a classic songwriting feel of sorts. The track hits straight away and gets you into a groove as guitars grunge on and 70's beach party style organ fills the background. There is something about it that does give the feeling of an actual beach dance party in a film from the early 1970s but it still holds that hard-hitting pop-rock formula without budging. The single is called "Be Alright" and seems to serve as a peek into their upcoming "Bloom" album which we can only hope to hear more of the same from. The song is a straight-up good time and is well worth a listen. If you are big on Spotify, add this one to your playlist. Here is where you can find it. facebook.com/oivymusic instagram.com/oivymusic twitter.com/oivymusic

  • Exclusive Interview With Canadian Alt-Rock Band Circle The City

Welcome back to BuzzMusic Circle The City! What’s the story behind your band? How did the band form? Since we last spoke, the band made a lineup change, but we now have our main members Kesenia Parent(Vocals/guitar), Harold Collins (lead guitar) Nathan Yeadon(Bass) and Jesse Mootrey (Drums). Good timing brought us together What's the music scene like in Sarnia, Ontario? It has its obstacles, but it’s steadily growing. It’s always important to touch base with our hometown. You have a new EP coming this year titled 'Rude Muse'. What can we expect from this album? A swift kick to the throat! Songs that’ll make you dance and get lost for a little bit. We really enjoyed your single “Gone Crazy”. How would you describe your creative process behind this song? How does each member contribute to the creation process? Funny enough, it was a happy accident that we all really loved. The beauty of this band is, we all mesh our playing styles and influences really well, we put our own spin on everything and then get together work it out. What inspired you to write "Gone Crazy"? Musically, it was a vibe that started with a great riff and started to build off that. We wanted to create an atmosphere with a lot of layers. Kess: I was sitting on a friend's porch in downtown Sarnia, listening to Riley's (original vocalist)Chemically Imbalanced lyrics(another song we have). I took inspiration from her words, and just kinda flooded the feeling Chemically Imbalanced gave me into Gone Crazy. I made up a story of a love between two people that is always crazy, whether it's good or not. The song is meant to shed light on recognizing red flags and manipulation. The singer is convinced by the other person that all the problems in their lives is because they have Gone Crazy. The singer realized through the progression of the song that they have been loving someone who has not loved them for quite some time. What are you looking forward to the most out of this year in 2020? What can we expect to see from you? Playing, we put on a kick-ass live show! • Find a Sense of Tranquility With Beret Finken in Track "Until You Come Back Home"

Composer, musician and vocalist Beret Finken brings her rich and soulful sound from Southern Minnesota. Beret Finken is the kind of artist that really emphasizes the graceful blend of ethereal sounding melodies with a striking and exquisite vocal tone. and Beret Finken has the kind of voice that can instantly capture your attention, solely for its purity. Beret Finken has crafted her vocal range but ensures that the steadiness and overall equilibrium of her sound stay consistent. Her music is very soft and collected, organized in a way that appears as delicate, yet incredibly resilient. Beret Finken released her song "Until You Come Back Home", and the track effortlessly displays that pure energy we mentioned earlier. "Until You Come Back Home" was written for her husband, who is currently serving in the US military, and it holds such a gravity. Her persona in the track is captured in such a creamy and texturized way, yet still washes listeners with a sense of tranquillity. There are many moments throughout "Until You Come Back Home" where you'll feel overwhelmed by the voice of Beret Finken, mainly at parts where she showcases the top of her vocal range. The storyline of her song requires more of an attentive listening experience, yet is most definitely worth it. The emotionality that Beret Finken is capable of capturing within her vocal dynamics is stunning, and an event that you must experience for yourself as a listener. "Until You Come Back Home" would be the type of song you'd add to your relaxation playlist (which we know we must all have, or at least should have). We're waiting to see what Beret Finken will put out next for listeners because we can already imagine the sentiment it will hold. Check out "Until You Come Back Home" here. Hey, Beret Finken! We appreciate the time to talk with you about “Until You Come Back Home”! As a track that holds a lot of sentimental value to you, did you find it quite easy to manifest the emotionally driven single? I wrote “Until You Come Back Home” for my husband (then boyfriend) while he was down in Georgia for U.S. Army Basic Training. We hadn’t seen or spoken to one another in over two months, save for the letters we wrote - we wrote one another every day that he was gone. Those letters were my solace then. When you aren’t able to sit in the same space as the person you love for days, weeks, months at a time; hold his hand, hear his voice, have a real-time conversation, that takes its toll on a person’s patience. I went through many emotional ups and downs in those weeks, and all I had were his letters to reassure me of his continued love and dedication to me. To put my full trust in those written words was hard, not because I doubted him, but because I doubted myself and my own ability to cope with the given situation. Could I really do this Military life thing? It was a battle constantly raging inside my head, and I didn’t know what to do with those feelings. But, deep down, I knew one thing for certain: I love him. That became my focus. Not just his love and dedication for me, but also my love and dedication for him. I needed him to know that my confidence was unwavering, and I also needed to reassure myself, in a way, that I could do this. That’s how this song was born. Its message is simple, yet powerful. I knew almost immediately what I wanted to say, and the whole thing was written and recorded in only two days. It’s amazing what inspiration and emotional drive can do in music. The focus of the song was most definitely the displayed vocal range on your end. How would you say you’ve gone about refining your overall vocal tones up to this point in your music career? My whole life, I have loved singing. Both my parents are musical, so it’s what I was born into. When I was younger, probably around ten or eleven, it was my dream to sing the part of Christine from The Phantom of the Opera on a real stage one day. However, this was not to be. In high school, I learned that I did not have natural vibrato. I got it into my head that I couldn’t be a “good” singer if I didn’t have it, and I gave in to jealousy and constant comparison to my peers. My childhood best friend, who I shared nearly every interest with, had the most angelic, mature-sounding voice you could imagine for a girl our age. I struggled for years coming to terms with the fact that I would never sound like her; that I would never live my dream of playing the role of Christine on the big stage. For a long time, I actually hated my voice - it had failed me desperately. At least, that’s what I believed. But, around the time of graduation, one of my teachers said something to me that I will never forget: “Music is an art, it’s not a competition. Great equals great, and you are great! Believe that with every ounce of your soul.” That’s when it hit me: I don’t have to sound like anyone else. I sound like me, and that is beautiful. The whole reason I do music in the first place is because I love it and my life would not be the same without it. That’s what matters. From then on, I invested as much into developing my own sound as I possibly could. I took full advantage of the vocal techniques we learned in college choirs, from breath support to healthy singing to proper diction, and really took the time to get to know my voice; my strengths, weaknesses, vocal and dynamic ranges, chest voice, head voice, what sounds good, what doesn’t, and the nuances that are completely unique to me. I learned to truly love my sound. Since then, I have written and recorded a lot of original music, and have also performed in public a number of times. Consistently using my voice and expanding my capabilities in this way is what has gotten me where I am today as a vocalist. No, I still don’t sound like a Broadway singer. I never will. But the voice I had in high school is almost incomparable to the voice I have now in terms of development, and I am proud of that. We felt that the angelic soundings you were able to shed light on in “Until You Come Back Home” really emphasize the ethereal and transcending experience the song imparts. Was the choice of production a methodical process for you, or was it easy to match the production with your vision for the song? From the beginning, I wanted this song to sound soft, sweet, and intimate; as if it were only my husband and I alone and I were speaking - almost whispering - gently to him. Knowing my voice, I know that these “ethereal” and “angelic” textures, as you described them, are my particular strengths, so matching my tone with my vision for the song was pretty easy to do vocally. This is the type of singing I work towards most often in my music. When the time comes for more releases from you, are you planning on staying consistent with the soundings in “Until You Come Back Home”, or going a different way with the atmosphere of the song? I really like the direction I went with my sound in “Until You Come Back Home.” I tend to lean towards simplicity and minimalism in my compositions, and will most likely continue to write in this style, at least partially. I also recorded a cover of Billy Joel’s “And So It Goes” in this style, which you can find on my BandCamp and SoundCloud. However, I would like to branch out more with my sound. You wouldn’t be able to tell from the tone of this piece, but I am actually drawn to darker, more fantastical and adventurous atmospheres and themes found in TV, film, video games, etc., and am actually trying to break into video game composition myself. Some of the most significant influences of note on my musical style in these genres, for reference, have been Studio Ghibli films (Spirited Away, in particular), Avatar: The Last Airbender (animated series), Journey (video game), Mushishi (Japanese anime), Your Name (animated film), and Fe (video game). These are the types of projects I would be thrilled to find myself working on in the future. I have also always had a strong connection to my Scandinavian heritage when it comes to music, and hints of Nordic folk music traditions often creep into my compositions. My original song “Reven (The Fox)” - which you can also hear on my SoundCloud - is based on these traditions and is closer to the direction I would like to go with my sound. So, to make a long story short, I plan on continuing to write music in a similar style to “Until You Come Back Home.” But I am also going to explore new sounds. We’re sincerely happy that your latest song came across our radar here at BuzzMusic. You’re definitely instilling a sense of grace with your voice, and we hope there are more singles from you to come! Looking back as a final thought, what are some ways you can think “Until You Come Back Home” helped you grow, both personally and artistically? I think “Until You Come Back Home” helped me grow in a lot of ways. Personally, it helped me get through my husband’s time away for Army training, and I have grown and changed for the better as a person since then. As a Military family, deployments will be an inevitable part of life for us in the future, and it is possible that my husband could be gone for up to a year or more at a time each deployment. With the two of us already having experienced time apart in this way, we are both comforted knowing that our relationship can endure the separation and come out stronger for it in the end. And this song is a powerful reminder for us of that. Artistically, this song was the first time I ever attempted to record anything “professionally.” I was using a new instrument library, a new mic, and recording in a completely new space - my roommates and I had moved into our apartment only a few months prior to this. Everything was different, but the quality of this recording turned out far greater than anything I had produced in the past, and it felt as if the world of music were gracing me with a whole new realm of possibilities. It was incredibly inspiring, actually. A lot has happened in my life since I wrote this song, including getting married and becoming a mother, and I have needed to take a step back from music for a while. But I have many exciting things planned for the future of my music and am looking forward to seeing where it leads me in the next few years! facebook.com/BeretFinkenMusic instagram.com/beretfinkenmusic twitter.com/BeretFinken #BuzzMusic
