Listen to “Account” by RAZAtwn here. Welcome to BuzzMusic RAZAtwn! Who would you consider some of your main inspirations growing up and why? Thank you! I appreciate you guys for having me. Some of my main inspirations growing up? Damn, that’s a hard question because there is so much that inspired my curiosity during my youth.  I can go from Kanye West to Bollywood/Hollywood Cinema to 50 Cent to Linkin Park to Lil Wayne. I can go on for days honestly. To really narrow it all down though, I’d have to say Kanye West. Kanye to me was always the guy that didn’t fit in to that social norm of a rapper at the time. He literally threw rocks shattering glass ceilings and that kind of inspired me to do the same with my life. Your musicality is quite unique and dope! What are some elements you experimented with in your single “Account”? It’s funny because most of my music before this wasn’t really all braggy and boasting, it used to be pretty lowkey, dark and spoke about struggle. While the homie GraffBeatz was making the beat, I felt the need to use the element of imagination. It wasn’t because I felt I had nothing to say, it was more of me using my creative storytelling with this one. It felt good because like I said to the homies that were around while this song was being made, it’s just manifesting words into reality. Also, TheoThoughtless dropped by with the feature and I think that added something cool to the mix. How would you describe the theme behind “Account”? Manifestation. Hear how the production sounds, hear the grittiness in the mix, listen to the words we are saying. That shit sounds like a dope ass dream. This is equivalent to me looking to myself in the mirror and saying “I’m a dope human being, I’m gonna prove these haters wrong. I’m a flash these bills in they face” I can imagine a kid tryna make something of himself dreaming about this at night and smiling. That probably sounds creepy and weird but it’s the only way I can describe it to you. What was the most challenging aspect of creating “Account”? this was how the room looked like during the making of Account: It was 3am. Graff Beatz was cooking the beat while drinking a cold PBR, Theothoughtless was drinking coffee, writing the verse and I was taking frequent trips to the bathroom vomiting because the couple hours before was wild. I have to say shaking the funk out was the most challenging part, hahaha. On a serious note, there was really nothing challenging when creating Account, it was a good vibe and we all believe in ourselves. When you have that, the aura is good and that’s when the music comes out good. instagram.com/razatwn #BuzzMusic

What's it like being the host of Worship Cafe Podcast? One Word, Terrifying!, (Just joking,) It is a real privilege for me to be able to play host, to some of the people who I have looked up to for a long time, and to help to tell their stories to a different generation or audience. Our goal with the podcast is to help creatives in practical ways and to demonstrate that their dreams can be actualized and that being swamped with problems isnt an indication that they are on the wrong path. Its also a huge responsibility, as we strive to ensure that our productions are timely,  relevant and accurate. The feedback from our listeners has been great which is very encouraging, and that spurs us on to continue to this, weekly or however sporadically as we are able to . We have grown to now also be hosted on an Internet Radio Station as well; heartsong radio. We really enjoyed your new single "Happy DAY". What does this song mean to you? Happy Day is my twist on the Popular Gospel Song "Oh Happy Day", however, I try to tell my journey of coming to faith in it. I believe in a Universal God who loves us all His children although we are all caught up in very different ideologies and views about Him or His Identity or relevance in our lives. But in His love He is patient, and it is a Happy day whenever one of us returns home. We find peace, Joy, respite, and the angels party hard too...lol.Now I know i must sound like im losing the plot, but that's what the scriptures try to explain. There is also a hereafter, when life ends on this side of time, there is a place where every soul must go, and its a Happy Day if you awake in the Light of Lights. You have a number of releases under your wing, such as Let Me Know You and Engraven. How do your past releases influence your new single "Happy DAY"? I believe every song has its own unique message, own style (genre) and can be geared towards a certain people group. I don't try to limit myself to a particular style. I am growing with every song release. Every new song is a milestone, and the journey becomes a bit better with every step, I'm finding more words to express my thoughts and getting more confident with my message, which is of Love, and Hope for all humanity. Every songwriter's fear is not being able to write a better song than his last release. I write based on my experiences, and from a place of yearning for the Supernatural and how that plays out in my very mundane life What can we expect to see from you throughout 2020? I look forward to the release of my EP, July 23. A collection of songs very dear to my heart, blending musical influences from my Afro-Caribbean roots with elements of Rock. The EP features collaborations with various musicians whilst aiming to make a statement on my musical journey, but being true to the message, of Love and Hope, rising to overcome ever-present challenges. I look forward to Optimism. Its a Giant Leap of Faith, and I'm optimistic so help me God :) instagram.com/olan4life #BuzzMusic

  • Exclusive Interview: Catching Up With Upcoming Hip Hop Artist CDZ

Welcome to Buzzmusic CDZ! Talk to us about your stage name! What's the story behind CDZ? I’ve been rapping since 11th grade in 2011. I started off as a producer with my brother Niko Blue, until I found my voice. I didn’t take things as serious until I hit college in 2013. My stage name comes from the supreme alphabet. It comes from the same place RZA and GZA got their names. Each letter holds its own meaning. C is to see or to see with the third eye. D is to be divine or to be purified from negative things. Z is the zig zag from knowledge to wisdom to understanding.  In which way was has your sound evolved since dropping your project “Atlantis”? This new sound is more refined and pure than before. I’m more focused on making music that’s meaningful to me but will also touch others. I grow with every project and I’m more excited to see what I can make. I never know what I’ll make next.  Tell us about your new single “LUCKY 7”. What does this song mean to you and what inspired you to write it? This song means a lot to me because it’s the first introduction I’m giving the people on my purified sound. Lucky 7 is a song I wrote out of struggle and pain. I was just in a bad space mentally but it was also an inspiring and eye-opening position to be in. I realized God finessed a lot of situations for me and that I needed to take advantage of that. Sitting around and being depressed wouldn’t change anything. So I wrote. What are some new elements in “LUCKY 7” that differentiate from your previous releases? There were many elements added by long time produced and cousin, DJ COPELAND. The production alone made me want to tell a story. The beat sounds like something meaningful should be said over it. This release is still true to my sound...it’s just more refined. I just tapped in and focused on the small details.  What's next for you throughout 2020? 2020 will be a very interesting year. I’ll be dropping an album this year titled “Some Nightmares Are Beautiful”. In the meantime, I’ll be dropping a video for lucky 7. VERY SOON. Be on the lookout for consistent and quality content all year. Listen to CDZ here. instagram.com/unocdz #BuzzMusic

Drawing influences from rock, dance music, and hip hop, Far From Holy has molded his sound and continues to evolve creatively as more music is released. His latest song, accompanied by a music video, gave us a taste of his artistry and allowed a glimpse into what Far From Holy is all about. “What It Takes” by Far From Holy is a quirky pump-up song that takes influence from electronic and hip-hop to produce a unique sound. The beat is lively and bright, leaving you feeling uplifted along with the motivating lyrics. It is this rhythm aspect of the song that makes the 90’s influences so apparent. The chorus is catchy and repetitive, emphasizing the inspiring vibe of the song and lyrics. Far From Holy uses simple melodies and background vocals to keep the focus on lyrics and the listener engaged from start to finish. Overall, “What It Takes” shows that Far From Holy has potential as a musician, and we are excited to see how he grows as an artist with his next releases. Click here to listen to “What It Takes” by Far From Holy. Hi there Far From Holy! Thank you so much for sharing your new song “What It Takes” with us at BuzzMusic. Could you give us an inside to what inspired the writing of this particular track? I was inspired to write “What It Takes” during a major life change I was experiencing. The song features me displaying confidence & ability to persevere during difficult seasons in life, while still doing what I love - creating interesting artwork. We really enjoyed the different elements you brought in to create the sound of “What It Takes”, do you see yourself experimenting more with genres and sounds in the future? In the future I see myself continuing to experiment with synthesizers, piano, & guitar to evolve Far From Holy’s sound. I enjoy creating alternative rock, experimental pop, EDM, & hip-hop. I am planning on releasing a new EP with a few music videos to accompany it. You mentioned that you started working on music seriously in 2015, what were you doing before then that led you down this path? Have you always been interested in a career in music? Prior to 2015 I was a HUGE fan of live music. I‘ve been really influenced by 90’s alt-Rock, early 2000’s hip-hop, & Electronic Dance Music - Which is why I enjoy using synthesizers so much. • R A M Z I E Releases His Memorable And Addictive New Single “Stuck”

A Georgia native who has a trendy style that will reel the listener in with its enigmatic energy and wavy melodic arrangements, R A M Z I E has just given us a grandiose hit titled “Stuck”. “Stuck” was a colorful single that has a striking appeal to the layered verses and infectious hook. The hook in “Stuck” does exactly what the title suggests. It sticks to us like a thick texture like glue. Having this unforgettable vibe that you will want to experience again. “Stuck” had a tough beat that will generate great buzz. We all need that perfect banger to get the party jumping and in the groove and “Stuck” has the radiating energy as well as the smoothly-connected flow where people can get hooked on his metaphors and melody. R A M Z I E is a versatile artist who integrates all his influences into one diverse sound. With major inspirations coming from artists like Michael Jackson, XXXTentacion, ACDC, and more, you can not predict what dimension R A M Z I E will take you in with his music! This unpredictable vibe is felt throughout “Struck”, keeping an element of surprise in its production. Listen to “Struck” by R A M Z I E here. Hey R A M Z I E. We loved listening to your single “Stuck”.  Knowing you’re influenced by a vast range of artists and genres, what was the key sound you were aiming for in “Stuck”? First, thank you; I appreciate that you enjoy the song. Secondly, to be honest, I wasn’t aiming for a certain sound when making the song. I heard the beat and the flow for the hook came to me immediately, and I went from there. Can you detail to us the key theme in “Stuck”? What inspired you to write this single and did you experience any difficulties during the creative process of it? The theme of the song is me feeling “stuck” where I’m at in the rap game, but that I know that it’s only temporary. I speak on the changes that I expect to happen when I’m no longer stuck on “this side” of fame. Knowing you’ve performed in several venues across Atlanta, how has this experience shaped your stage presence? Do you have any pre-performance traditions you do? The most important part of performing, in my opinion, is actually doing it. Once I forced myself to get on stage and just do my best, I saw that people enjoyed the energy that I was giving and reciprocated it. This made it very easier for me to get on stage the next few times and have fun while performing as opposed to feeling sheepish or nervous. How do you plan on evolving your future releases from a hit like “Stuck”? As I continue to make music, I see evolution in my style and approach. Whether I make a song that’s similar in bounce to “stuck” or one that’s a different genre altogether, I’m always looking for ways to make my music the best that it can be. I achieve that by making music that I genuinely feel when making it. Even after I’ve finished recording a song, I’ll listen to it on repeat for days thinking on whether I need to change, tweak, or add something. When I’m satisfied with the feeling that it gives me, I can plan a time to release when that feeling is most relevant. instagram.com/ramzieofficial #BuzzMusic

  • JonesJrr Talks His New Song; "Most Don't Get It"

Welcome to BuzzMusic JonesJrr! How has growing up in a musically inclined household impact your artistry today? Great question! Growing up in a musically inclined household is the reason I got into music. At around 8 years old my dad had taught me how to rap to a beat and even recorded me on a few tracks, a snippet of this is actually on my album “META” and snippet is titled “2007 (interlude)”. From then on I've had the desire to make music.  Tell us about your single "Most Don't Get It". What was the vision you had for this song? “most don’t get it” is one of my more emotional tracks. The track goes over the struggle of an artist as well as the struggle growing up in a low-income household. I touch on my high school experience, from bullies to girls. I kind of just let all of my emotions out and wanted to talk about things that I felt other people didn’t understand, ironically I’ve been told it’s one of my most relatable songs. What obstacles did you have to overcome when making "Most Don't Get It" and in what ways were you able to overcome it? Obstacles I’ve overcome with this track: I believe that I found a different type of sound that I’m used to making when I recorded this. I transition from a deep, more monotone cadence to a much more intense and emotional delivery, I think this is what makes the track unique. How would your songwriting approach towards "Most Don't Get It"? I wrote this song in one sitting, I heard the beat and instantly got the “most don’t get it, they really just spit it” the first line and it spiraled from there. After writing the track I recorded it all in my little dorm room studio I have and mixed it up. What's next for JonesJrr through 2020? What’s next for me is a music video for my track “Like This” which is also on my album “META”. Listen to JonesJrr here. instagram.com/jonesjrr twitter.com/jonesjrr facebook.com/JonesJrr #BuzzMusic

  • Chicago Star Ré Alissa Releases Classic R&B Single, "Secret”

Ré Alissa has an alluring voice that grabs the attention of anyone who listens. This rising star from Chicago has had a passion for music since she was very young but only started pursuing it as a career after the loss of her mother. Ré Alissa caught the attention of the late Juice Wrld and music legends such as Babyface, Toni Braxton, and Bootsy Collins. She is exactly what the R&B scene has been needing. Get ready for songs filled with emotion and about all the ups and downs of life, everyone can relate to. Her EP, 'Rétrospect', draws on the heartstrings of listeners and is sure to leave a lasting impression. Her title track “Secret” is a classic R&B song with incredible chill vibes that lets you relax. Ré Alissa’s voice is smooth and easy to listen to, someone you could listen to all day long and not get tired of. The melody is almost haunting and mystical and draws you into something of a trance while listening. Tamar Mitchell’s voice is incredibly complementary to Ré Alissa’s and it adds depth to the melody. The lyrics depict what it’s like to finally find somebody who you think might be the one and want to keep them “secret”, all to yourself. If you’re looking for a mellow song that will put you in your feels, this is one to add to your library. Listen to "Secret" here. How did Juice Wrld first hear you and how did that feel for your talents to be recognized by someone like him? I did a cover/rendition of his song Lucid Dreams and just kind of posted it on all my social media (as I always do!) Then a few months later I woke up one morning and my Twitter was blowing up. He had quoted/retweeted my cover of his song and it got up to like 100K views. Eventually, Universal Music Group flagged my cover for copyright which is actually why my Twitter is suspended right now. JuiceWrld is one of my favorite artists so that had me on a high literally for the entire year of 2019. I’ve always felt so connected to him. The studio that I recorded most of my EP is where he recorded ‘Goodbye & Good Riddance’. To be recognized by him was everything to me. It gave me a lot of validation as well. Off of your new EP “Retrospect” which song was the most difficult to write? Which was the easiest? The most difficult song to write was probably Can’t Get Over You (C.G.O.Y). The lyrics are a direct reflection of things I’ve felt since the end of a situation I went through. I was being very vulnerable and honest with the feelings I was expressing. The easiest song to write was my song Reminisce because I actually never wrote it at all! It was a freestyle that I did in the studio and ended up being one of my highest-streaming songs. You collaborated with Tamar Mitchell on this record, tell us about what that was like. Is there anyone who you’d like to collaborate with in the future? Tamar is actually my brother! So we had a lot of fun working on the song Secret. We did the whole thing in about 2 hours and it’s the song from the EP that everyone loves. There are so many artists I’d love to collaborate with in the future— like H.E.R, Drake, Young M.A, etc. However, most of the artists that I want to collaborate with the most have already passed away. What part of being an independent artist excites you the most? Probably the whole aspect of not really knowing what’s in store for me! I feel like I’m just getting started on my journey as an independent artist but there are so many people that believe in me— some people and celebrities that I didn’t even know I existed. So I guess it’s the knowledge that my entire life can be changed at any moment. I never know when that moment will be, so I just keep going hard regardless! What's next for you? This year is all about branding myself and putting myself on a map. I want to have quality and consistent content that people can actually visit and be like “hey, check out this R&B artist I found! I love her music.” Rather than just “I found this girl who sings on Instagram! She has a great voice” if that makes sense. It’s all about branding myself as an artist. I want people to familiar with me and my sound and my name. I’m so confident in myself and I love my music. I know there are so many people out there who will love it as much as I do! instagram.com/realissa facebook.com/realissamusic #BuzzMusic

  • Malexes Goes Back to His Original Roots in “Way to the Moon”

At only 25 years old, Malexes has made quite the name for himself. Currently signed to seven international record labels, has appeared on multiple radio stations, and had his music on a Netflix original TV show. Malexes is taking the world by storm. Originally from Munich Germany, he is a self-taught composer who combines pop and dance genres for a fun and upbeat style. He has released numerous popular tracks including “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” feat. Leon Miller, “We Need To Get Free”, and “Way To The Moon”, which has been his most successful release yet. “Way To The Moon” is a catchy pop/dance track that is sure to get stuck in your head. The song starts with a simple melody that’s repeated throughout the track. As the song progresses towards the chorus, more and more layers are added to build on top of the original melody and it really pulls you in. This layering adds dimension and complexity to the track. The verses quickly switch back to that simpler catchy melody to give the song contrast and keep your attention. With an album release set for March and songs and albums that have charted in various countries, we foresee big things in Malexes future. Listen to "Way To The Moon" here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Malexes! Can you tell us a bit about how you got your start in the music industry and how you went about teaching yourself how to compose and produce? Hey BuzzMusic, thanks for having me! I’ve started off in the industry by creating mixtapes and mashups when I was 16 years old. When I turned 18 I used to DJ a lot in Germany, Austria, and Italy. I’ve also played piano concerts since I was six so technically I was affected by music very early and it was always my dream to release my own original songs. Your newest single “Way To The Moon” is supposed to be your biggest release so far. What does this song mean to you? The song really means a lot to me. I really tried to get back to my original sound and roots with it. I started producing piano dance tracks back in 2012 and wanted to create something similar genre-wise again. Unfortunately, I’ve never worked on music as a full-time job in my life, just in my free time. But it always helped me so much to make it through difficult situations. That's one of the reasons why creating music means so much to me. I’m very thankful, that people like the track. I love the combination of the male and female vocal on this one and the different moods it reflects. What can we expect from your upcoming full-length album? (laughs) I mean I say this every time. But its gonna be the best piece of music I’ve ever created. The album will be pop all the way. With a lot of different vocalists from all over the world. I am really proud of it and can’t wait to reveal it. What's next for Malexes throughout 2020? Of course, the release of the new album is what I mainly focus on right now. It really gets me pumped thinking and talking about it. Really enjoyed talking to you by the way and I hope we can sit down again to review the new album in spring. #BuzzMuisc

  • Interview: Phaze3 Debuts Her New Single "Sipping"

Talk to us a little about your stage name. What's the story behind Phaze3? Phaze3 is a universe name. It represents life! Life on all levels. She is the galaxy of life! There are so many different parts of our lives and we all go through different phases of our lives and Phaze3 herself carries the number 3 to her name because there are three vitally important phases that Phaze has taken people through to help them to reach their destiny. A woman of the Faith she is. What’s so important about Phaze3 is that you have to give her room to breathe to allow her to spread her wings and birth out these important phases not just to others but to herself too. Phaze3, because she is universal.. she will always be changing as the universe changes to not only meet the needs of herself; but others as well. You recently released your new single "Sipping" which is a song that seems deeply personal and suggests you have finally found peace and happiness in your life. What does this song mean to you? This song means everything to me! That final chapter of holding on to things that I knew was holding me down and back, I have let go! I now am ready to move to newness in my life; because I can’t carry anything old into my new life. Everything that is already built for me for the future; I have to have a new attitude, a new walk, a new talk, a new investment, a new spirit, new relationships in order to get to my Destiny. I can’t rely on the old because the old has had its time! It’s time for everything to be remade new and move! In the creative process of writing "Sipping", how did you take your emotions and ideas and make them come to life? Sipping was so easy to write because once I heard the beat and I placed my mind on the Lord; that place brought me to my own journey; which was an emotional journey for me because I thought everybody that I had poured into almost all my life was going to pour back into me once they saw what God was doing to me; but that wasn’t always the case; therefore I had to get tough and go through tests and get fit to stand alone if I had to. Most Gospel music is surrounded around testimonies or cry out songs for help or rejoicing songs. I knew that it was going to be one or the other for me because of my path to get here right now. Sipping is a mixture of a testimony song and a rejoicing song that I just put in my own style marked after my own emotions. Did you face any challenges creating "Sipping"? I did not face any challenges writing, Sipping, because I know my talents and I can write to any beat as well as write songs without music beats. What I loved the most after seeing the lyrics that God gave to me to write; I realized that this song is global because so many people can relate to all these things I talk about in this song. Sipping is so much bigger than me; because it represents everybody. What can we expect to see from you throughout 2020? You will see the rise up of the new Gospel Queen, with her new name release. You will see the new era flow of gospel music, you also will see nothing but great music from me in a different genre. I feel as though most people want to see me more on the hip-hop side, but I have so much more than that to give; so I’m planning on keeping my music uptempo, hot and spicy, full of flavor for all ages to relate to. What’s great about, Phaze3 Muzic, is that it is organized to captivate the hearts, souls, and minds of all people. Stay will Phaze3, for she definitely will stay with you. Continue to follow me on all my platforms. Greatness is what I posses! Listen to "Sipping" here. instagram.com/Phaze3Queendom #BuzzMusic

  • Earl the Kid Sets the Tone With Visionary Hit “Space”

Earl The Kid released a banger with his latest single “Space”. “Space” is the instrumentation of creative fusion of hybrid trap, dubstep, and bass. “Space” has the kind of beat that will serve as the perfect foundation and root for an artist to get on the track and deliver a tough verse. The ethereal elements in the beat are great for a melody while the intense bass is perfect at complimenting aggression and attitude in projection. Earl The Kid manages to create a sense of a theatrical storyline within the beat with a cinematic approach to the sound effects used. Earl The Kid is a mysterious artist but that’s why we love him. “Space” was unpredictable and compelling enough to reel us in like magnets. Earl The Kid has this magical impact on the listener with “Space”. “Space” elevates you into the beat and the vibrations from the bass. It could be challenging for producers to transform a beat into a song, but Earl The Kid does exactly that. He’s more than just a producer but he’s a uniquely creative artist who is proving to be the future of instrumentalism. This visionary has a bright future ahead, but in the meantime, you can explore the journey he takes you on with “Space”. Listen to “Space” by Earl The Kid here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Earl The Kid! Talk to us about your stage name. What's the story behind Earl The Kid? Hey BuzzMusic! First of all, thanks for having me. Well, I have always been called "Earl" since I started skating but it is not my real name: my friends got me that nickname because we used to watch the tv series "My name is Earl" where the main character (Jason Lee) has the same personality traits as I have. "The Kid" is because kids are so creative and irrational which is the best combination to create art, it can be music/paintings/photographs and so on. Nah I'm kidding, I choose it because I still have a baby face under the mask haha. Your identity is a mystery to us and the rest of the world. How has this shaped your career in the music industry? Do you find you have any advantages or disadvantages because of this? Most of the time is really hard to keep it unknown for loads of reasons. Obviously there are pros and cons but in my perspective, I can only see the positive aspects. I love to talk to people but when I get recognized I feel so awkward and happy at the same time, it is quite hard to explain though because the thing is that I am more curious to get to know why they listen to my noise than them to get to know what's under the mask. Tell us about your new single “Space”. What does this song mean to you? "Space" is from my latest album "ORIGINS" and it is the last song (If you read the first letter of every song in vertical, it comes out the album title. Brain explosion, your welcome haha). For me when I have to choose the title and make the outro I feel so melancholic. Space is something infinite that no one can predict or have absolute knowledge about but it is still fascinating. What were some of the challenges you faced in creating “Space”? Honestly, it was the easiest song to produce because I just went with the flow. You all better look forward to hearing some remixes of it coming up, I asked personally to a few singers to sing and drop some lyrics on it and all the final results are just incredible. When I did the mastering of one of those remixes I literally had goosebumps. What can we expect from Earl The Kid throughout 2020? 2020 will be another year of progress for me. My team is getting stronger and I am so proud to have chosen those brilliant people. First of all, my manager Gabe (@fuggettino). He hates and loves me at the same time, especially when we are on tour he is really diplomatic and professional so I am the crazy and immature one who wants to show off, partying hard even after my shows and to perform almost naked. As bookings, I have to say a huge thanks to Julian (@thebassemporium) and Angel from Rage Cage Ent (@ragecageent). I am going to mention one of my closest friends and also my graphic designer Boogie (@hillyhd), I just don't know how he catches my strange ideas and he turns them into cover arts and visual effects on the stage. Last but not least, another good friend of mine and my photographer Vas (@mr.crop), that guy loves to push ourselves to the limit with his way to see the potential of every single spot we shooting. Everyone has its own path but I am sure you gonna see me performing all over the globe, giving away some filthy bass and hybrid donuts. instagram.com/earlthekid #BuzzMusic
