Before college, I didn't really know the technical aspects of music. Furthermore, I found it difficult to perform in front of an audience. College helped me form a technical foundation and a way to escape my nerves when it came to performing. College also gave me a first-hand account of what it is like to tour. What was the most challenging aspect of creating “Better Than Him” for you? The Challenging aspect of creating Better Than Him was the hook. I wanted a song that expressed how I felt honestly but remained catchy and uplifting. What was the main theme in “On Mars We Party”? The main theme for On Mars We Party came from a night were me and my friends were partying hard and it felt as if I was on another planet somewhere more exotic than earth. The feeling was intergalactic. How would you describe your songwriting approach to your record “Beggin You Please”? My Songwriting approach to Better Than Him was to write a song that everyone could sing and relate too. I wanted to create something fun, catchy and relatable. I wanted a song where when you hear it you just have to turn it up! In what ways were you able to personally relate to “Beggin You Please” from your personal experience? I was able to personally relate to Beggin You Please because I lived it. I saw a girl at a party and I kept trying to talk to her but she wasn't having it. I never gave up and I actually said the words " Listen I'm Beggin You Please give me a shot". She still said no lol. What are you expecting from the new year Tonne Desai? What I am expecting from the new year is to get my foot in the door of this industry. Whether that is as a songwriter or as a signed artist. I would love to get my name out and to develop a larger fan base. I will be working very hard to make sure I perform live and to make sure the songs I release are hit records. I hope to be able to have a career in music and I wanna show everyone that no matter where you are from, no matter how many times you failed, no matter how many times the door was closed in your face, and no matter how many times they said no with hard work and belief in yourself you can achieve your dreams. instagram.com/tonnedesai #BuzzMusic

Having to experience the things I did at a young age and going through it was crazy. But I also had dope people around me that took me out of that element of bad stuff that was going on and tried to make the best out of the worst. I use those situations I been in as motivation to keep me going. I never forgot where I came from but I don’t want to be a product of my environment when I got the potential to do great things for me and my family. What was the inspiration for your single “Addicted”? To be honest, I had a huge writers' block when I was writing this song. It was actually written to a different beat originally. One day I was listening to to some Kanye and appreciated his use of soul samples and wanted to incorporate that into my music. I wanted something from that era with today's era in terms of production. As soon as I heard the beat my writters block was over and I began creating. Lyric wise I also wanted to flex a little bit but also add things that happen in my community. How would you describe the creative process behind your record “Speed Dial”? So with this record just like Addicted, I wanted something with soul in the intro but I have more fun on this record. I didn't want to create something that was gonna be too hard to digest. just a simple party record. Can you detail the arrangement and production for your EP “Toronto”? It's like a movie in terms of production and arrangement. I wanted everything thing to sync in when it came to the tracklisting. With the intro, I wanted something that like a roll in credit, something that was cinematic that could bring the listener in. Although it wasn't any lyrics and just instrumentation in the intro I wanted the listener to hear and feel it like the intro to the movie. And with the intro, it followed through with each track production-wise. That's why the last track Incubus is the end. its the outro and slower track out of all. Its the end credit. What was your songwriting approach to most of the songs from your EP “Toronto”? I went through a lot of things relationship-wise with women and stuff and that's what most of the project indicates. Some good, some bad. I wanted to create some "Sad N**ga Hours" type music. That "put you in your feelings type music". Just things that some dudes go through. Also, just the things that happen with me on a daily basis What can we expect next from you Pierre Giovanni? New project coming 2020. I'm working really hard on it. The concept project you guys will love it, that's all I'm going to say about it. instagram.com/streetwearpierre/ twitter.com/PierreGiovanni_ #BuzzMusic
- Multi-faceted Recording Artist M4CHIN3 Brings Vitality to His Recent Music
M4CH1N3 is Jacob Machine, a self-proclaimed dreamer from Huntsville, Texas. This industrial electronic Hip/Hop artist has produced and released his own music, published books, as well as independent feature films. M4CH1N3 takes a unique approach to his music and has kept a record of his life every day since September 2006, using it to craft his artistic creations. His music is raw and inspiring, blending rap with well-produced beats, resulting in a powerful outcome of a distinctive and one of a kind hip/hop sound. He is well on his way to achieving his goal of becoming “the dream machine of all arts for this generation”. This past summer M4CH1N3 went on tour playing Los Angeles and Hollywood. 2019 has seen him release five singles, two albums, one book, and two EP’s. In spite of this busy year, on December 13th he is set to release his first self-produced album "Clockboy & The Adventures Of The Kid From The Back Of The Classroom" in conjunction with his second film "A Motion Picture of Youth", as well as performing at Buskerfest in Miami. He will also be publishing his second book before the end of the year, making it clear to us that M4CH1N3 contains the drive it takes to excel artistically. Check out M4CH1N3's music here! Welcome back to BuzzMusic Jacob! You're definitely an artist of many talents! What inspires you to create so many different mediums of art? The root of what inspires me to create all the art that I do is simply a love for words. I believe that words are the greatest force for change on Earth, for both small and large scale, personal, individual, group or mass. With words, I can make music, write scripts for movies or books. I write it, then see what I can do to speak and take action towards making it a reality. I am simply testing the possibility without expectation or hesitation. The things we choose to do with every moment of each of our time changes the world around us constantly. What we all do matters. With the voice & mind that I have, I choose to speak and create, reflecting my own experience to share understanding for whatever it is worth to anyone at any time. From the unknown beauty of life to the brutal truths of reality to all the pains, joys, fears and loves, understanding is needed to bridge the divides in modern society. How can I help with that? To just create what I feel and constantly share what I see, from the best to the worst with honesty. I've been writing before I knew how to spell. Making movies with the neighborhood kids at 7. I started writing what happened every single day 13 years ago. Taught myself music and released over 20 albums worth of independent material over a decade unknown. Why? Creating is what I did to survive through the hard times of my life and it's what I do now because why not? I'm just trying to empty my head, but new songs pop up every day. I've got 19 movies outlined to make before I'm dead and there'll probably be more. I know what my next 3 albums are. I don't know why I have the ideas that I have in my head, but I feel like it is my duty just to do my best every day to get them out of my head. No matter where I am or what I'm doing, I have to inspire myself to keep moving forward every day. 2019 seemed like a busy year for you with the release of multiple projects, which did you enjoy working on the most? Out of all the projects I have worked on this year, I enjoyed A Motion Picture of Youth the most. As said before, I've been making movies since I was 7 years old. I would write the scripts, gather up my friends of kids in the neighborhood and film movies. I'd edit them and transfer them over to VHS back in the day. After some years, I was afraid that VHS players may eat the tape of the only VHS tapes of my existing childhood, so I shelved the old memories of movies for 15 years. I found some people I trusted to work with the old film this year after not watching any of the material a single time since my childhood and got all my old movies transferred to digital. With that, I was able to have the most nostalgic experience of my whole life re-experiencing my own forgotten childhood and editing together a new movie to share with everyone else what the childhood of a creative kid in the country looks like. It'll be out on Youtube Dec 13th for anyone to watch. Despite the vibe of some of my music at times, recently I actually haven't stopped feeling really f*cking good every day since I saw the movies and began my new project. Like something clicked in my head. I've been doing this every day for my entire life and I'm going to be doing it more every day for the rest of my entire life. With that said, what on Earth is there worth worrying about? Yeah, the world is messed up, but it's up to us to make the best of what we have, what we want and what we see as well as to not take our time and planet or neighbors for granted. Whether I've got a buck and a fan or a billion and a dream machine, I'ma be writing every day and just making new art because it's what I do. I think watching my childhood somehow cured me of ever worrying about anything again possibly. I'ma just do my thing, make my story and enjoy the process rain or shine. Will 2020 be a heavy release year like 2019? Oh yeah, every year is gonna be release heavy. Within the next decade, I hope to have a production studio where not only can I provide jobs and opportunities to others, but I will be capable and have the help and resources to crank out even more quality work than I am able to do alone. You never know, maybe 2020 that'll begin. I will be working every day regardless. My first self produced album drops Dec 13th, but I'll have another new song with a completely different vibe being released January 1st to kick off 2020. It's just what I do. What was it like self-producing your album? Did you enjoy that process more than working with other producers? Self-producing my album was fun for sure. I love just working to myself and having complete freedom of thought with the assistance of technology to determine what best fits to express the ideas I had. I'm at a point now though where frankly I'm tired of working alone. I'm sure I'll continue to release self-produced albums just because I make the time, but also greatly I would like to work with some other producers. I'm not leasing out any more beats, maybe a few if I find some artists that are good people that I want to support and work with, but too many sound the same and have no personality. What I want is to go to a studio with a producer that wants to work with me without me having to pay him like a job. Someone who looks at working with me as a collaboration and a dedication to a project rather than just another income source. I want to meet other workaholic artistic producers and create entire albums with specific vibes and stories. Then sell the albums and help each other make that happen. Collaboration. If it's not that... I'll be working alone. I need people I can respect, trust and be inspired by. Clockboy and the Adventures of the Kid from the Back of the Classroom, my first self produced an album that I wrote, programmed the music, mixed and mastered myself will be released Dec 13th. It is written from the perspective of the eyes of my younger self in High School back in prison city Huntsville, Texas. It is my best and favorite work to date. Industrial rap and folk hop for the age of anti-pop. Your song 'Face the Day' is very relatable, what were you hoping the intended reaction to be? What's next for M4CH1N3 in 2020? Face the Day is one of my favorite songs. It's produced by Anno Domini, who on the subject of producers and leasing beats is one of the few producers I have ever truly enjoyed working with. I even took the time to come meet with me in person while he was in Hollywood and talk over ideas, which I have great respect for even in itself and still appreciate it. To indie artists and rappers out there looking for a great producer to lease work from, go to him. Legion Beats is good as well as Gray Matter Beats. As said, I'll be producing all my own work or looking for single producers for individual albums in real settings from now on. If you need leases for music to write to, go check out these guys. They are some of the best I know around. With all that said now too, the Face the Day track is the closing track from the Become the Machine album and was used it in that place to represent a feeling of being awake all night thinking about the world and getting up still with a good attitude to work another day, even if you have no love or no money or no sleep you just keep pushing forward without worry or fear. Everybody has to face every day, so I hoped I'd made a song to help anybody along with their life for a moment possibly with a listen. 2020? If you like what you see, just sit back and watch the show. instagram.com/jacobmachine3 #BuzzMusic
- Looking Back at Chad Michael's Progressive 2019!
Who is the one and only Chad Michael? Chad Michael is a dedicated, self-employed, professional artist whose not only musically talented but educated as well. He’s a former collegiate athlete and an English graduate, complete package right? During his years in college, Chad Michael tapped into a source he didn’t previously recognize, using his music to express his soul and the reality of how he feels. Chad Michael is a phenomenal artist whose work-ethic is remarkable. He moved to Los Angeles and became a self-taught audio engineer, graphic designer, and performer. He’s a complete jack of all trades. The smallest details matter in a song. Sometimes, changing a single word can change the impact of an entire record. Obsessing over the details of performance could make it a show no one ever forgets. Chad Michael takes on the entirety of this perspective and uses it to advance his artistry. Learning the history of an entire culture of music will always make the music of the present more impactful and that is exactly why Chad Michael has caught our eye as an artist. Although he’s naturally gifted, he’s completely committed to being the best version of himself. Each time we get to feature Chad on BuzzMusic, he grows in a new way. His commitment, combined with a contrasting approach to production, makes for an exhilarating performances. It's what makes Chad the artist of the day, and someone we’re sure we'll hear more from in the new decade. Listen to the artistic creations of Chad Michael here. Welcome back to BuzzMusic Chad Michael! What has been the biggest challenge you had to overcome in your career in 2019 and what have you learned from it? Thank y'all for the feature! It means a lot to be recognized. This year has been a year of underground growth for me, meaning that after I released Rain III in March, I dived back into learning more of the basics. That meant fewer new releases and more music theory, marketing techniques, and overall just trying to round me into a more complete artist. That meant shooting my most complete, beautiful visual to date - the video for 4th Ave - over the course of two weeks, in two states, and then editing it completely from start to finish, becoming a better graphic designer, finally coming out with my first pieces of merchandise (the most comfortable band shirt on the market, by the way), and continuing to form meaningful relationships with other talented, good-hearted people. I've had to be honest with myself and critical of my weaknesses and my art, to know what needs improvement. That's not easy. Being an independent artist is not simply about making music. It's about setting myself for success in the long-term and that includes doing work that sometimes falls outside of being a "creator". I have to get smarter and more well-rounded, and that can be a slow process with a lot of tough work. I'm committed to it though, and I know it's going to pay dividends in the long run. What was the creative process behind your EP “Rain lll”? I always knew there would be three Rain EPs, but it took some time for this one to materialize. They all start as individual songs for me, but as I continue to work and write and record, they seem to fall into a certain storyline and order. This project was no different. One song became three, which became seven, which eventually became the five that ended up on the EP. I spent hours trying to figure out their order, their meaning, and how they fit into my story. Eventually, not only did they tell their own story, but they fit perfectly into my story, and the two previous projects as well. I record and mix all of my vocals, so continuing to improve the clarity of sound is a constant step for me, and these songs really allowed me to explore new styles and techniques for mixing and composition. Altogether, the process took more than a year, and I learned a lot about myself through it all. Which songs from the EP do you think best represented the theme of the EP? The easy answer in the track that takes the EP's name, Rain III, which was always meant to be a commentary on exactly where I stood within the scheme of my life and in the greater picture (social awareness, climate concerns, political divide, etc.). This song is a painting, a snapshot of my existence at the time of its writing/recording. It is essentially meant to be listened to in order with the two title tracks that came before it, Rain & Rain II, from my prior EPs, and at their base, all of these songs bleed into each other and tell a complete, intricate story of the times in which we live. The first track, Diamonds, is also one of my favorite and most intricate songs, partly because I exposed so much of myself in this record and also because I was able to explore so many new techniques and concepts in my artistry. The words are incredibly special and meaningful to me - and also very difficult at times to write - and I think are a perfect start to the project as a whole. Dark, dreamy, and frenetic, but powerful and precise as well. Let’s talk about your single “Blue Skies”. How would you describe the songwriting approach behind this record? I loved making this song because it was such a departure from Rain III. Originally, it was supposed to be the final track on the project, but the energy didn't seem to match. Blue Skies was always a much more positive and uplifting song that really did help me snap out of some sad times. Writing it was therapeutic and provided light when much of my most recent music has been more of a dive into the struggle and darkness. I just kind of decided to let the sun out on this one, and I think you can tell in its delivery and lyrics. What was your favorite element to “Blue Skies”? I love singing and incorporating melody into my verses as well. The ability to shift easily between styles was both a challenge and an opportunity on this record, and I did as much crazy stuff as I could think of. I wanted this track to be exploration energy and style, and I learned a lot about my sound and my capabilities in both recording and mixing it. I also proved to myself I could make a happy record, which wasn't something I was always sure I was capable of doing. What’s next for you in the New Year, Chad? New music, of course! I have at least 5 singles planned in the next few months, new visuals, and collaborations with multiple extremely talented artists. I've continued to find new inspiration for future projects (including my first album, which I'm in the very early stages of putting together). I've also continued to learn about my craft and myself, which is only going to make my sound that much better and refined. I can't wait to share everything I've been working on, and I can say without a doubt its the best work I've ever created. I'm also looking forward to performing in new cities and new states this year, hopefully on a more regular basis, so stay locked in to my website and socials for more news on what I'll be up to very soon. instagram.com/cmsound twitter.com/realchadmichael #BuzzMusic
- G Phatz Had a Strong Presence in the Rap/Hip-Hop Scene in 2019!
G Phatz is a rap artist born and raised in Texas. He began his journey with music at a very young age and grew up heavily influenced by a unique set of street life experiences. This perspective helped shape his focus, grit, and drive needed for the music industry. G Phatz released a variety of groundbreaking singles this year that display his growing potential as a rap artist. G Phatz keeps his music completely diverse. A more recent release from G Phatz, "Stay In My Lane", showcases his dynamic growth in his own artistry. We took a listen to this record and almost instantly felt the raw aggression and intensity through every lyric G Phatz delivered to us. This aggression and intensity continue to be extremely noticeable in his single “Knuckle Up", where “Knuckle Up” voices G Phatz frustrations surrounding hip-hop culture in today’s society. G Phatz proves to be an explosive rapper, switching up his diction and delivery between both records “Stay In My Line” and “Knuckle Up”. G Phatz is undeniably a hitmaking artist who is set to have a record-breaking 2020! Listen to G Phatz & his music here. Welcome to BuzzMusic G Phatz! Talk to us about your single “Knuckle Up”. What was the initial vision you had for this record? I wanted to capture the feeling that most people have when they have been lied to or done wrong in any form. This is really a fuck you anthem from the streets to anyone and everyone from anyone and everyone, that has not kept things. What would you consider the most challenging aspect of creating “Knuckle Up”? I didn’t find anything challenging about the track itself. I needed to keep the message simple and to the point. While also expressing my true feelings in a way that could be received in its purest, and most direct form. How would you describe your songwriting approach to your single “Stay In My Lane”? Really just vibin to the fact that you don’t have to be what your not or project what you not. That you can stay true to you, and still get to where you need to go. I think too many people today, want to imitate what works for other people. It might not necessarily work for them but they see it as a lane to achieve their goal. When writing this track I wanted to touch on being yourself without compromising for anything or anyone. What was the biggest inspiration for the song “Stay In My Lane”? As an artist I observe a lot, I guess you can say that an artist is a reflection of their environment. Now that we are more connected through social media our environment is the world. “Stay in my lane “ is me saying I do me, regardless of what everyone else thinks I should or shouldn’t do. From your artist’s perspective, what are some major elemental differences between both “Stay In My Lane” and “Knuckle Up”? Like fire and water. “Stay in my lane” is a more laid back with a conscious message. While “Knuckle Up “ is in your face and confrontational. “Stay in my lane “ is like chill, I will do me and you do you. “Knuckle Up “ is like f*ck you What’s next for you G Phatz? “Walking Threat” EP dropping soon. I have another single off that called “every hood every block“ featuring Glasses Malone. This project has features from Willie D (Geto Boys), Carolyn Rodrigues Coy (Dopehouse), Elite 1, Micheal White, and Green of the Gotti Gang “Neighborhood hustler” mixtape. Once again teaming up with DJ FIRE going to have two singles on this the rest will be mixtape tracks “Neighborhood hustler” featuring Point Blank, "My Life ” featuring New Game. Also working on some tracks for a project DJ FIRE is dropping called ”Southern state of mind”. Documentary an album, really excited about it. facebook.com/RealGphatz/ instagram.com/realgphatz/ twitter.com/realgphatz #BuzzMusic
- Alt-Rock Group Insider Shows Us What 2019 Radio Rock Is!
From Milton, Vermont - today we have the grace of a Rock group who are proving they have what it takes to make waves on the radio in 2019. Insider show is what they have to offer with “Little Less Crazy”. When the song starts, “Little Less Crazy” makes you feel anything but that. The song is driving of raw emotion and the heavy guitars coupled with gut-busting drums that absolutely rock your world. “Little Less Crazy” has been gaining traction on Rock radio and there’s no doubt in our minds as to why. The chorus makes you feel the reminiscent vibes of raw rock music but has something unique to offer. With sounds similar to Wolfmother, Black Sabbath, and Led Zepplin, Insider’s vocals, provided by Zac Young, offer something unique for their sound. The melodies are insanely catchy and compliment the riffs incredibly well. Zac isn’t afraid to step out of his lane and show real personality in his vocal performance. The guitar solo at the end of the song melted my face off my head, so be careful when you listen on your own time! These guys are on track to doing some notable stuff and they aren’t slowing down for anyone. Make sure you give this a spin and keep up to date with them for new music and future touring. Listen to Insider's music here! Your new song “Little Less Crazy” is one of the more defining ‘radio rock’ songs we have heard in a long time! What does it mean to you to be a Rock band in 2019 chasing radio play? What sort of challenges have you encountered with this? Thank you for that, it means a lot to us! The song seems to be a hit among our fans as well. Being a rock band in 2019 carries responsibility. Many bands have adopted this idea of “Rock Revival,” and we’re no different; except we have a different way of going about it. We’re not necessarily just chasing radio play, but we are chasing shares. We had a sit-down conversation with a social media consultant recently. It all starts with word of mouth, and then it spreads to social media. We see this already with our own music! Getting on playlists, and getting bigger names to advocate for you is key! Radio is just one of the ways we like to reach new listeners. The challenge to get accepted onto the radio stations is the quality of our recordings. We used crappy high school microphones to record our E.P, and that will not continue in 2020 for our album. We plan to record in our home studio while our guitar player plans to mix and master the album. He is currently an Audio Engineering major at NVU under the guidance of Grammy-winning engineer Brian Warwick and The Mighty Mighty Bostones bassist, Joe Gittlemen. What was the writing process like for “Little Less Crazy” and did you write it with potential radio play in mind? “Little Less Crazy” was written by our guitar player at three o’clock in the morning in his bedroom. Not overthinking is key when songwriting and the story the song holds is a simple one. The man was trying everything he could to get away from this toxic female who drove him crazy. The song quickly came together after it was introduced for the first time. Everyone had the same vision of how the song should go. Fast, straight forward, and quick to the point. We had no thoughts of radio play when we wrote this, as we were just fooling around playing at our school and nowhere else at the time. All of this newfound success has come to us in just 6 months! The track has been played on 99.9 The Buzz (love the name), how did this come to be? We got courageous one day and entered a competition to be the “Buzz Cut of the Week” on that radio station. We won the competition and had recently played a Buzz sponsored show, so it made too much sense for them not to share our song. Whatever opportunities that present itself, you way the risk and take. The song has also been played on a rock radio station in Boston and somewhere in the U.K (apparently). For people who are reading this and haven’t listened yet, where did your influences come from? Our influences come from many different rock artists. We all are interested in our own sub-genres of rock, and it all comes together to make something unique when we get together to write. Our influences consist of Metallica, Nirvana, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, and so much more. The papers have described us as sounding like Black Sabbath, Nirvana, Wolfmother, Foo Fighters, and Muse. Do you have any plans to expand radio play with this song and tour nationally? We do indeed. We plan to email every rock radio station we hear of and submit our music. You should be your own biggest fan as an artist. Advocating for yourself gets you places. We plan to travel around the Northeastern U.S playing gigs in the summer of 2020. We plan to play many different sized acts too. These include festivals in New Jersey, to venues in Toronto, to clubs in Philly. We have a lot of dates being set up at the moment. Making fans through our live set is yet another way we want to make fans. Lastly, any final words for your fans and potential new listeners? To fans and potential new listeners: If you live anywhere near the Northeast in the U.S keep on the lookout for future shows in the summer of 2020! Playing live is our passion, and we pride ourselves on putting on a good performance. We plan to release a self-produced album in the spring of 2020! If you want a mix of the new and old ages of rock then this album will be for you! - Rock Out With Planet of Rhythm & Their New Single "Voodoo Woman"
Planet of Rhythm is bringing back good old rock n’ roll to the masses. Forming in 2014, this blues Rock/Hard Rock band is all about creating music as it should be played, without auto-tune and overproduction. Consisting of Doug Hafford (vocals), Elliot Jason (lead guitar), Greg Thomas (guitar, bass), Chad McKinsey (drums), and Juliet Roberts (vocals), Planet of Rhythm’s sound can be comparable to some of the greatest rock bands of the ’60s and ’70s. The song "Voodoo Woman" from their most recent album Damaged Goods is a true representation of classic rock music. The instrumentation and vocals are unbelievable, highlighting each member’s specific musical talent. That guitar solo brings shivers down the spine and makes you want to jump up and get your body moving. Planet of Rhythm site artists Tom Petty, ZZ Top, Bob Seger, and CCR as influences for this album. Voodoo Woman is unquestionably reminiscent of these great acts. For fans of rock and roll, Planet of Rhythm’s Voodoo Woman is a must listen! The bands' goal of having a great time making music and bringing sensibility to blues-rock fans is definitely achieved through this song. You can feel the energy, drive, and good times as you rock out to this amazing tune. Discover Planet of Rhythm's "Voodoo Woman" here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Planet of Rhythm! We love your blues/classic rock sound! You mention the importance of making music without auto-tune and overproduction, did this make the recording process of your latest album fairly straightforward? No, in fact, it makes it more difficult since we humans all make mistakes. So we have to do many more takes, include more tracks on any one song, etc. But at the same time, that makes things much more fun. The collaboration, the exploration of sound from the various instruments and calling in specialist musicians all make it a marvelous experience. Were all members of the band involved in the writing of Voodoo Woman? I write all of the non–cover songs, but as noted above, collaboration is a key part of Planet of Rhythm. So in that sense, yes, everyone in the band has input and is encouraged to create. It is very much a family-like environment. Voodoo Woman is very guitar-heavy, which we love! How important is it to you to focus on the instrumentation? Extremely! We spent significant time getting the guitars just right – mixing Gibson Explorer’s with Les Paul’s for example to carry that heavy rhythm. The drums, bass again had similar special attention to get the sound just right. Do you have any plans of taking the show on the road and touring? We are working on our new record One Track Mind right now and plan to do some shows following its completion. Albums are a long process for us so we do not have any set dates at this time. What’s next for Planet of Rhythm in 2020? New album and performances, including some nice hard rock numbers – one of which is the title track One Track Mind – and our current favorite Nightmare Extreme. So more POR on the way! facebook.com/planetofrhythm/ instagram.com/planetofrhythm/ #BuzzMusic

- Tajh Virgil Ropes Us in With New Single “Somebody”
There is something to be said about the young, up and coming talent today and that includes this 24-year-old music producer, Tajh Virgil. Coming from Milwaukee, WI - Tajh brings us his new single “Somebody”. This track starts off with some guitar work, accompanied by a cryptic synth and that alone is enough to set the vibe of the song. Vocally, Tajh Rios in with his cutting and captivating voice. Paired with his infectious melodies, the listener is sucked into the sonic universe of “Somebody”. The influence of Drake shines through, but not more than the iconic artist usually does in this day and age. The chorus is catchy and gets the point across that Tajh is in pursuit of a love interest. This is definitely the kind of song that is easy to dance to, especially with a special someone. The beat and rhythm of the song stay pretty linear the entire way through, from the beginning to the song ending at 2:58, but it’s still enough to get the idea across. Make sure you keep your eyes and ears peeled for Tajh Virgil and the waves he is making! Listen to Tajh & his music here. Thanks for being with us today, Tajh! How long have you been producing for? I’ve been writing and producing for about 10 years now! Sometimes, it’s more writing and recording with other producers but I’ll still executive produce my projects. What sort of production influences did you take for your new single “Somebody”? It was more of pop production with my own style. I had to capture a modern island sound and involve a multi-cultural vibe to the song. I want people of all races to dance to it and have a great time! How do you find being from Wisconsin and trying to pursue a career in the music industry? What challenges have you faced? It’s sometimes difficult to find networks inside of the city but I don’t let it stop me. Wisconsin has a music base growing rapidly but it’s not a state that has a strong music foundation. So, I pride in challenging myself to get my music to as many different people as I can in the state and outside the state via social media and traveling. I’ve faced not having my music liked by a lot of people for it being different and not sounding like what people think Milwaukee music sounds like. I’ll be the face of the new culture here in my state and city I believe. What is one thing you want listeners to take away from your music? The message that each song has. A lot of my music is positivity and hope but I have a lot of relationship-centered songs too showing the good or not so good of love, but never negativity. When will “Somebody” be on streaming services and do you have future plans to release new music? It’s actually available now to stream. Just search “Somebody” by Tajh Virgil on any platform and it will pop up! facebook.com/tajhvirgil/ instagram.com/tajhvirgil twitter.com/TajhVirgil #BuzzMusic
- UraelB Ties Familiar Rap Elements With a Fast-Paced Execution in "Effected"
Hailing from Inglewood, CA, rap artist UraelB brings a different kind of flow to his music. Artistically, UraelB impresses us with how articulate he can get. His production never fails, and he provides lyrics with meaning. It's really the most pivotal features you need in a rap artist, and UraelB excels at them. We're insanely into the underground, authentic approach UraelB has. The most aspiring element to his music is the passion you can feel emulate from UraelB's persona. Looking at his recent music, UraelB keeps the vibe balanced and chill, especially so with "Effected". There's an old-school aspect to UraelB's "Effected" that we really seek out and appreciate. The vibe throughout the entire track gets sincerely elemental. The underlying beat is kept consistent during "Effected", but the repetition is what actually makes the track stand out. It's more of a low-key, stimulating experience. UraelB integrates his vocalism in an efficient and fast-paced way, which makes the execution so much more satisfying. One thing we can't miss out on highlighting is UraelB's immaculate flow. It's seriously effortless. It makes his style unique and confident. "Effected" is elevated rap, bringing contemporary with old school, which makes this the type of track you don't want to miss out on. Discover the sound of UraelB in "Effected" here. Welcome to BuzzMusic UraelB! Congratulations on the release of "Effected"! How long did it take to write and record this track? It took me about a month to write and get the record reproduced by my homie Oliver (aka Triaddix). I recorded it over the summer of 2019 with my guy Darsh (aka darshmadebeats) at his crib and since then we had just been working on getting the master right for it. How do you typically go through your curation process? Where does the majority of your vision stem from in order to create tracks like "Effected"? I typically take my time and don't force releases or concepts to songs, which is why I seem to not drop music as much as the average independent artist. I gotta shout out Cozz of Dreamville for the dope song and production on it. I got inspiration to remix his song and the storyline in it cause I related to it heavy. Us both being from LA and all that comes with growing up there, It's not hard to tell dope stories on a track or spit a message people can feel. Lastly, R.I.P. Nip Hussle who had just passed write before I wrote this and who's murder inspired my verses too. What was the intended takeaway message for listeners from "Effected"? My whole point of "Effected" took Cozz's main messages of watch people around you to cause its a lot of fake sh*t out here and present that in a different and updated way. You got the Tupac murder being a conspiracy involving some LA gang members, Biggie's murder involving the LAPD, and then Nipsey Hussle death being a conspiracy combining both, it was just a lot of fishy shit that I peeped going on. So I had to put it on record and remind people don't just believe what you were told cause everything ain't what it seems. We've heard about the opening of your record label! How do you find balancing your own productions with being involved in the label? I have a great team and just overall collective of other artists, producers, and creatives who all are driven to achieve success. So everyone pretty much holds their own. We always bounce ideas off one another and push each other to create and promote our stuff in the best ways we know so I'm never alone in making sure my stuff runs smooth and everyone else's stuff runs smooth. We're the emerging TDE/Dreamville of our generation but coming bigger and better! Where is the direction of your artistry heading from here? Are you planning on creating more tracks? This track "Effected" is a precursor to vibes and messages I'm Introducing on my next to projects for 2020: DemiGod, & Respect The Real Vol. 2. I have that two for sure in the works and on the way, plus a lot of joint albums and features I'm doing for other RTR members Like CB5, Isaiah Bowers, and KnowOfUS. We got a tour coming spring 2020 so definitely be on the lookout for not just my stuff but theirs too. instagram.com/uraelb/ twitter.com/uraelb #BuzzMusic
