  • Sam Janesko Releases New Single "Breakthrough"

It's really not long after you begin listening to the Revolving Man EP by Sam Janesko, that you get an understanding for his obvious love for experimental guitar playing. "Breakthrough", the first single from the record, shows his ability to not only have loads of fun getting your attention with guitar hooks left and right, but also his ability to do this throughout a pop song. The track  feels ever changing and honestly once it grabs hold  of you, it doesn't  let go easily. The EP is indeed a form of pop rock, but it's a pop rock that knows less boundaries than the norm. Slightly experimental, a little progressive, and even spaced out at times, you almost have to sort of stop to soak it all in before playing it again. Either way this record is a lot of fun and well worth your time. And hey if you have some time, you might as well  listen right here. www.samjanesko.bandcamp.com/releases www.youtube.com/user/theSpacetimemonkey/videos www.soundcloud.com/sam-janesko

  • Lo’Ren Diggs Is Making An Impressive Transition Into Country With “Slide Close”

Lo’Ren Diggs is a Haitian / Dominican Singer, Songwriter with an authentic southern upbringing. Groomed for success by Chicago’s cold and windy city streets, he found himself living in the treacherous, heated neighborhoods of Los Angeles, California. Lo’Ren Diggs has a way of breathing melodic life into everyday language and delivering it with a distinguished yet rugged feel. Lo Diggs, the philanthropist is re-recording a double CD entitled: “I KNOW LO DIGGS”, which will be available digitally by Spring 2020. All of Lo’Ren Diggs’ experiences have prepared him for his next adventure, transitioning to country music. Putting his ambition in full motion, Lo’Ren Diggs drops his latest track “Slide Close” and we’re bumping it on repeat. Laced with light-hearted lyricism and soulful, folk instrumentals, “Slide Close” is bending genres in the most admirable way. The brilliant chaos sheds light on the versatility and creativity of Lo’Ren Diggs’ mind. The catchy hook includes smooths vocals and an addictive riff while the verses feature a little more southern twang. Lo’Ren Diggs’ well-known vocals match perfectly with the overall country feel to the track. He talks about real-life experiences and dives into a retrospective look at his feelings. Lo’Ren Diggs pours his emotion and soul into every track he puts down and we can’t wait to see what he delivers next! Listen to “Slide Close” here and read more below in our exclusive interview with Lo’Ren Diggs! Welcome to BuzzMusic Lo’Ren Diggs! How did you come up with your stage name? Ans: As a kid I use to work in the garden with my family. I was too small to handle the big shovel so they gave me the handheld shovel called the Diggs. Lo'ren is actually my first name. Most my friends/ fans call me Lo Diggs. What is your new track “Slide Close” all about? The story line is about a guy wishing he could dance well enough to impress the girl he likes. Its sort of a country line dance / Dance fever kinda song. Hence the lyrics in the chorus "COWBOY HUSTLE" it was also secretly a way to shout out a recently pasted music friend Nipsey Hustle. Your songs have a very powerful lyrical presence. What’s your writing process like? Melody and Concept is normally how my writing starts. The words come later but if I cant see ( visualize) it... I cant write it. Do you have any shows, events, or tour dates you’d like to talk about? I have a few from October to December. My fan base is so broad in age. Im even doing a middle school, a highschool, a post office appreciation banquet and Southern Los Angeles " TASTE OF SOUL". What’s next for Lo’Ren Diggs? I'ts hard to think about "Next" when I focused on the now. My Dad taught me that success isnt really success until you cant do it again and again. While most people are thinking about money & fame. Im thinking about making a big enough impact to effect the next generation. Today its a song, tomorrow it might be the anthem for courage. I stand for empowering people to "do more than live & have desire...THRIVE & INSPIRE". SO BE FEARLESS & SLIDE CLOSE. • BuzzMusic Exclusive: An In-Depth Look Into Priya's New EP "Beyond Borders"

How did you originally get started making music and decide it was something you wanted to pursue? I have been making music for as long as I can remember. My mom put me in piano lessons at 4, but I never really fully learned to read music for piano- at least not very well. I would just listen to the notes my teacher would play and copy her as best I can and *pretend* I had learned the pieces, when really I was playing from memory. I grew up loving poetry and writing poems in my spare time, so naturally when I hit high school my two loves of music and poetry combined to make one emo kid playing songs about love and heartbreak from the piano in my dining room. But even in moments without a piano, making my bed in the mornings I would hum and make up melodies on the spot to see what little snippets I could come up with to make the time pass. I went to a performing arts high school in Oshawa, Ontario, called O.C.V.I and that is where I trained my ear and expanded my understanding of music through jazz and chamber choir, and jazz and wind ensembles. I was exposed to the greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Herbie Hancock, and Miles Davis, but also Eric Whitacre and Bobby McFerrin all the while still consuming pop/rock music of the early 2000’s, and my mother’s music like Eva Cassidy, the Beatles. This exposure to quality music and the thrill of improvisation, and gorgeous complex harmonies really shaped and influenced me as a songwriter.  I wanted to go to college or university to pursue music when graduating high school, but instead my parents encouraged me to go into science in the hopes I would one day become a doctor. After my first year of university, I switched majors into the acting program (I had missed the audition date for the jazz program). While at Dalhousie I picked up guitar and learned the craft of performance. I have since become a professional actor, but music has always been my first love. After graduating from the National Theatre School in Montreal years later, I moved to Toronto to pursue acting, but found myself writing music late into the night after my shifts working as a host in downtown bars. I sat on these songs for years until last year I booked a major theatre gig and decided to invest in myself. I took a small amount of money saved and recorded my EP at a small indie recording studio in Toronto, Lincoln County Social Club, and decided to put myself out there, first through open mics at the Supermarket in Kensington Market, and then from there began booking small gigs throughout the city. We love your EP "Beyond Borders"! What does this release represent for you? Aw, thank you so much! The songs on this EP were written at a very transitional time for me as an artist. The release of this EP represents an act of courage and radical self love, and offering the message of love as a gift to others. It is an expression of my struggle with finding power and strength within myself, it is a love letter to those who may be struggling with the same thing, and it holds my hopes for a brighter future for humanity - one in which we rise above our differences, our borders and our personal struggles to find the beauty in human connection. What emotions did you have to channel when writing this EP? Is there a song that evokes more emotion than the others? I would say all of the songs in this EP tend to be quite emotional, because I am an emotional person. I love performing Little Girl, especially with a full band behind me. I feel so empowered singing that song and I hope it does the same thing for others who hear it. However I think the most emotional song for me to perform, is Beyond Borders. I have finished that song in tears before, in a room full of people sniffling and somehow, in a weird, maybe slightly sadistic way, I LOVE IT! Haha Because it means I moved people, and when you move people it means you’ve hit on something authentic and truthful and I did my job as an artist. I channelled something that made people FEEL, and experience connection. Can you dive into the lyrics of the title track "Beyond Borders”? I wrote this song originally as a poem in Indira Gandhi airport on my way back to Canada from a trip to India to visit family I hadn’t seen in over 13 years. It was a very special and profound experience for me that opened my eyes, and changed my perception of the world, my relationship to my family, and relationship to myself.  “What is Love in the eyes of the broken, could it come by the face of a queen? What is freedom in the eyes of the rich, have we forgotten how to see?”  —There is so much poverty in India, it is difficult to ignore. This was a question about the value of money and how we often use it to show our love, but is that really true? Are we really making an impact by just giving money to the those that suffer, or is there a more honest and truer display of affection that has nothing to do with money, but instead with giving someone the dignity and respect of being seen, being heard and offering real love.  But mores  having the queen’s face on our money... it is a question about British colonization and the irony of how in the past the narrative has been “it is for the benefit of this new world to colonize, to make this new land and it’s people *civilized*” but it’s effect is actually the opposite— colonization is largely responsible for large scale poverty, exploitation of people and goods, and a loss of culture and identity, not just in India but also on our own doorsteps in Canada with Indigenous reserves where our own people do not have access to clean drinking water. It is ironic… throwing money at a problem. But the money is the problem. And the people who hold power and privilege and do not acknowledge or share that power, giving voice to others or respecting others rights or access to common necessities of life is the problem. I think people are more open to change when things are phrased as questions and I don’t have the answers, which is why I formed the first line as a question- to challenge the listener to think. "A woman’s worth isn’t woven into cloth or reflected in a ring Strength is sometimes hidden in the silence, The bruise beneath the surface of what’s seen" —I am outspoken about domestic violence, because I am a survivor of domestic violence, and many strong women I know also are. When I was in India I learned of some horrifying stories shared by some incredibly strong women, stories that they had not even shared with their own families. It is a completely different way of life, run by patriarchal systems that are going strong and difficult to challenge, even in this modern age. I don’t want to paint only a negative image of India, there were many beautiful elements of my experience, but developing a deeper cultural understanding of the rampant violence against women which is frowned upon in public but behind closed doors is a part of every day life for many women…. I could not simply ignore it. Cloth weaving is a traditional cultural activity for women of Manipur (where my father is from), and certain patterns of cloth are given as wedding presents. But the expectations of women who enter into marriage are, to my western upbringing, relentlessly demanding and unequal, even for women who have very successful professional careers (of course this is a generalization, but I feel confident in saying this is true for many people). It really put things into perspective for me, the life I might have had if I was brought up in Manipur and what might have been expected of me had my father not immigrated to Canada. Would I have survived? I don’t know. But I do know I have a privilege of speaking out against domestic violence, when many women do not, because to do so would put them in more danger. So I will use my privilege to raise awareness, give someone hope, challenge patriarchal ideas and I refuse to remain silent. Silence is what aids in the continuation of domestic violence. We will never end it if we continue to to deny it’s existence.  “Oh we danced to music in the silence And we found god in a stranger’s face And we’ll never be alone again as long as hearts are home Beyond words, beyond borders, beyond race” — I met some incredible people in India that I connected with on such a deep level, even though there was a language barrier. While I was in Manipur I took lessons from a spiritual elder who taught me traditional songs and dances in Manipuri. And though we never shared a common tongue, we communicated universes to each other in the silence. It was a very healing experience for me. Not just spending time with her, but with the many new friends who showed me such generosity while there. Witnessing their grace and resilience and being welcomed into their world as a member of their community, even though I felt I would be an outsider being only half a Manipuri (I was nervous that I would not be accepted). But truthfully, I only ever felt a beautiful and pure love that transcended barriers like language, or race, or distance. To know that you are never alone if you have an open heart, if you listen and find joy in connecting with others, regardless of your differences, it is such a powerful lesson I wanted to share in this song. How have you honed your vocal style over time, and did it take a while to find your vibe, or did it come naturally? I think I will forever be honing my vocal style and finding my vibe. I listen to music across genres: r&b, hip hop, folk music, jazz, rock. But I suppose it is both naturally and over time through my musical influences and trying to emulate artists who I love and admire. What are the main values you want to bring to the music world? I want the world to feel connected and moved when they listen to my music, whether its through feeling empowered by a song, feeling they are not alone, or feeling like there is still hope. Mostly, I want my music to inspire love: love of others and love of ones self. Listen to Priya here! Connect with Pryia on social media: www.Instagram.com/becomingpriya #BuzzMusic

  • Stoney Dudebro Has An Empowering Message In “Chasin’ Fridays”

Hip-hop newcomer Stoney Dudebro is far from a rookie in the music industry with over 10 years of wide-ranging experience. The Stockton based emcee is repping the 209 city but recognizes and pays homage to his strong roots entrenched in northeast Ohio where he lived from birth until 2017. Stoney has released multiple singles, including two with music videos, that were released earlier this year as the first two singles from his debut album “YUAAP!”. In just one year of releasing music Stoney has racked up nearly half-a-million streams on Spotify alone. "YUAAP!" is a 13 song musical journey of the married, college-educated, millennial. With Stoney's unique and versatile style “YUAAP!” is sure to have something for just about everyone. “Chasin’ Fridays” is an inspiring and empowering R&B track from Stoney Dudebro and Knotch. The honest lyricism focuses on living every day like it’s our last. We’re not living to our full extent if we’re constantly wishing it was Friday. As the intro track to Stoney Dudebro’s album “YUAAP!”, “Chasin’ Fridays” only scratches the surface of what Stoney has learned. He spreads positivity and gratitude through music and we’re loving every minute of it. The very essence of “Chasin’ Fridays” is this idea of reflecting on difficulty but looking ahead with hope and a belief that everything will be alright. This underlying sentiment is represented by every layer and intricacy, so “Chasin’ Fridays” in full leaves the listener with a shared sense of strength and trust that the future is bright. A refreshing and melodic new song that works hard to lift you. Check out “Chasin’ Fridays” here and read more with Stoney Dudebro below! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Congratulations on the release of your debut album “YUAAP!”. What’s the overall concept of this album? This album is my journey and my introduction to the world. I've always been a dreamer but became a doer with this album. It really takes a look at what I've experienced since 2018. Had a great job most people would love to have... made great money.. great benefits.. company car.. stocks.. but it was extremely toxic and put me in a very dark hole... and with the loving support of my wife decided to walk away from it and start pursuing what I have always gravitated towards. It's the highs and lows of the most challenging, rewarding time of my life. What does your song “Chasin’ Fridays” represent for you? Can you dive into the lyrics and tell us the meaning behind it? This song is so special to me. The concept was inspired by one of my biggest influencers, motivators, idols whatever you wanna call him; whom is Gary Vaynerchuk aka Gary V. He's talked about how if you're "Chasin' Fridays" than you're living wrong. That's exactly what I was doing and that's what so many people are still doing right now. You shouldn't be wishing away the majority of your time and days because your time here is the most limited and valuable resource there is. There is plenty of money to be made out there. Apps like Lyft, Uber, Grubhub, Wag, etc. are work at your own pace apps. If you are stuck at a job you hate then stop doing it. Leaving the safety net of that JOB (Just Over Broke) made me spread my wings and grow as a man. You’ve released a lot of new music this year and all of it all is incredibly impressive. Have you always had such a dedicated workflow, or has this year been one you’ve chosen to push a little harder with? Once I'm locked in on something I go after it - hard. I came up with a plan for this album. It took a lot of twists and turns and didn't go the way I originally anticipated, but I decided I would adapt & overcome. I'm 100% independent so I just been grinding as hard as I can. What are your main aspirations as an artist going forward? I'm hopeful to continue building my brand and keep putting out content. Sooner or later someone who can help me really scale this vision of mine will notice. I really wanna go on tour soon and spread these good vibes. What other projects are you working on through the end of 2019? Going to continue pushing my album YUAAP! and release a few more videos that's for sure. • New York City Based Artist Burgos Bends Soundscapes With “Perfume Memory”

New York native and gifted producer/singer/songwriter Burgos has spent time producing hip-hop as well as playing in rock bands throughout NYC. Now re-emerging, Burgos has established his sound. He aims to synthesize a lifetime of divergent tastes by blending a range of genres to create a unique sound devoted to melody and movement. “Perfume Memory” brings together a manic and multi-layered, slightly retro soundscape, with a distant and effected vocal line that seems to sit on top of the beat in an underground dark-pop sort of way. As the track progresses, a certain familiarity develops within the vibrant chaos of the ambiance, the synths and riffs rain down on you as the music pours through. This in itself quickly becomes a key trait of the song giving it a flicker of recognizability. On top of this is the leading voice, something the artist toys with at the point of production as if it were another instrument, another electronic element to be explored. “Perfume Memory” an interesting track that doesn’t follow the standard set-up, it creates an experimental, atmospheric moment of artistry that provokes you to think a little more deeply on life. Check out “Perfume Memory” here and keep scrolling to read more with Burgos. Welcome Burgos! How did you initially decide that music was something you wanted to pursue? When I first started making music I knew it was something I could be good at. When I understood that I knew how this thing works and I could make it do so many different things, I knew I wanted to do it forever. We checked out your latest release “Perfume Memory”! What was the creation process like for this song? Can you dive into what it means to you? Once I have the chords and melody for a song it starts to take on colors in my head. The colors for Perfume Memory made me think of a certain place with a certain person and the lyrics tell some of the story of my time with them. I like the idea of rehashing a period that was unpleasant for me over music that people can dance to. What has been one of your most memorable or life-changing achievements as an artist so far? I used to be in a band called The Pencey Affair and we played our best set at our favorite venue (which doesn't exist anymore), Cake Shop in the Lower East Side. A young woman that I didn't know bought me a beer after the show. What are your main aspirations as an artist going forward? I just wanna be someone's (anyone's) fav. What other projects are you working on through the end of 2019? I've got a few sketches that will likely be an EP to follow my LP, The Parties And The Bullshit. I'm approaching these songs a little differently so I'm excited to hear how they end up. Connect with Burgos on social media: www.Instagram.com/trulybeautifulmusic #BuzzMusic

  • Cut The “Tension” With London-Based Artist Madman State

London based Madman State is a musician, rapper, and producer known for his passion, eclectic style, and boundless attitude & energy. Mixing a variety of styles from old school hip-hop to modern trap, State is not scared to experiment. Madman State has also mixed it up incorporating rock, soul and R&B influences into his music. A standout figure in the nu-wave sound currently taking place in London. “Tension” features a mighty bass-line that bounces through to pave the way for artist and songwriter Madman State. On top of what is a gorgeously colorful and partly organic soundscape, the artist offers up a beautifully uplifting melody-line that’s surprisingly refreshing and addictive all at once. In addition to the likable groove of the music, the song’s concept offers a fine balance between personal truth and a generally accessible level connection. Madman State seems genuinely lost in the moment throughout the recording, he carries the bar well and makes certain to hold your affection without screaming out for views or throwing in anything irrelevant just to add volume. Madman State is an impressive artist with a natural connection to the genre and to performance on the whole. We can’t wait to hear more! Check out “Tension” here and read more with Madman State below! Welcome to BuzzMusic! How do you manage to successfully fuse so many genres into one cohesive sound? Many years of practising the art of production lol. With this particular song I felt it necessary to combine my composing skills with my sampling skills, and the additional use of other production techniques are what have made it stand out. Tell us about the lyrics in “Tension”! What inspired this song? This song was inspired by a personal situation that happened which involved a external individual giving me and my at the time partner an ultimatum which created 'Tension' in our relationship. The rest of the song then explores how we tried to maintain things with this tension but ultimately it proved too hard despite our attempts. Really emotional stuff lol! What has been one of your most memorable or life-changing achievements as an artist so far? Probably my most memorable achievement has been producing music which I always dreamt of doing from a very early point. Looking back I now have the ability to produce music which I only could have dreamt of before. It's taken a lot of learning and trail and errors but I can honestly say I'm so stoked at how much I've advanced in the last few years. What are your main aspirations as an artist going forward? My main aspirations include more performances, more visual content and I also aspire to play at festivals sometime very soon! All part of the bigger picture of what I plan to accomplish. • C Will Is Back With His New Release "All About You"

Hey there C Will! Welcome to the BuzzMusic community! Congratulations on your latest track "All About You". How did the overall production go for the song? It took a bit of time getting it together because I wanted to make sure the listers felt that new vibe on a classic Hip-hop beat and I have to give it up to Pawel Kargon for the amazing beat. We're incredibly excited to be featuring your track "All About You". We definitely sense that old-school flair you bring to a more contemporary hip/hop style. Where do you find your inspiration to curate tracks with such originality? Honestly, it comes from my love of Hip-hop. Sometimes I hear a classic beat and my mind starts racing with possibilities. What would you say is the most impactful takeaway message from "All About You"? Do you feel like you're able to connect with your listeners on that deeper level? The message to take away; Is that you should never judge a book by its cover and if you know you're not on the level, you shouldn't be frontin'. I feel for the most part, from the responses I've been getting back from Listers the majority are able to get my message and I'm grateful for it. How would you describe the music scene for your particular genre in Toronto? Do you believe that you can fully develop your sound in the city? The music scene in Toronto is buzzing right now but I find it hard to get your music in the right hands or to the right ears but in a way, it's a challenge most indie artists face nowadays. Can you describe how the songwriting/recording process compares to actual live performance? I say 50/50. Still, sometimes writing is like breathing and other times you get writers' block or thinking of your own way of dropping some gems. Same thing with live performances. Sometimes the crowd can feel your energy and delivery and sometimes you go on stage with too much energy and start blowing out fuses in the crowd the key is trying to find your personal balance and for me, I would say it's a working process but my aim is to always be on point. Is there anything exciting happening for you within the next few months?! Any upcoming shows you can share with the BuzzMusic community? Well, I'm planning to release another promotional mixtape soon and after that just releasing singles. I'm also working on doing some shows soon, took some time off from shows to write. Just making sure the coin is right or if it's worth investing in at this point and time, 'cause I keep moving around a lot; kind of the curse of being a one-man Army. • Jdotds Blends a Variety of Elements to Curate "Overnight"

Canadian singer/songwriter Jdotds is a rap artist that is bringing a more chilled and relaxed execution with his music. Last year Jdotds came out with his debut EP "ICY", which was an incredibly raw look at Jdotds's abilities as an artist. Integrating heavy rap elements with predominantly hip/hop vocal techniques, Jdotds curates music that you're bound to enjoy as a rap/hip-hop fan. We're also sensing the serious energy that Jdotds can bring to his tracks. It's authentic, it's catchy, and it's undoubtedly tranquil to some element. We can definitively say that Jdotds is bringing a more contemporary programming to his music, especially his latest single "Overnight". Jdotds is coming at us with his in a new way with latest single "Overnight". Jdotds didn't hold back with this track--you can feel the vibrant energy within his vocalism, the rawness of his lyricism, and ultimately the fluidity of his execution. "Overnight" is the type of track you listen to, and immediately feel a burst of confidence for the entire 2 minutes and 50 seconds. We can ultimately conclude that we're proud of Jdotds growth as an artist, and what he's able to bring to this particular track. "Overnight" blends a more heavy-hitting beat with calm vocals, which presents a serious contrast that's intriguing, to say the least. Jdotds maintains this calm delivery for the entirety of "Overnight", and we can confidently say that we're impressed with how he has progressed as an artist! Give a listen to "Overnight" here, and keep reading for more with Jdotds and his music! Hey there Jdotds! It's great to feature "Overnight" here on BuzzMusic! How did the production for the track go?! Hello, thank you for featuring “Overnight” on your platform! So i found the beat on youtube randomly and freestyled the hook! It took me about a week to write and lay down my verses, mix and master the track! What's the most integral message you want to be communicated to your listeners with "Overnight"? I made this song for the youth who feel like passengers of life i.e. people who don’t know where their life is heading. Basically saying keep your head up and continue to fuck shit up while staying true to yourself cause your life could change positively and finally make sense literally overnight. Are you able to describe the impact music has had on your life thus far? How do you feel you personally connect with music? man, music raised me. I’m a stan, I wanted to be like my favourite artists growing up. I’ve always been super reliant on music, and it’s definitely my preferred outlet to express my thoughts, opinions, feelings and all that good stuff. Who would you say you draw your inspiration from the most, musically? First of all, Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive! But when it comes to my sound, i’d say Travis Scott, Drake, A Boogie inspire me the most. With more music on the way from me, you’ll soon deep the influence from how I switch from melodic autotune flows like “Overnight” to straight rapping with no autotune. Stay tuned for more dope music! It was a treat to have you here on BuzzMusic Jdotds! Tell us what you have planned next for yourself as an artist? It’s been a pleasure! I have a couple of collaborations that are gonna drop real soon then imma drop my next single. I’m currently working on my debut project called “When In Rome” so watch out for that too! • Groove Along With Animal Sun To Their New Single “Girl In Blue”

Animal Sun formed in 2015 and is led by two brothers, lead singer/songwriter, Steven Blake Alton, and drummer/back-up vocalist, Will Alton. Born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, the brothers chose to name their band, Animal Sun, as a dedication to their late childhood friend, James Sun, whose life was tragically cut short in 2011. Drawing from their devastation, they realized life was too short and ultimately wanted to change the world for the better through their powerful music. It wasn’t long until they began performing in front of packed audiences from college parties to house shows on the East Coast to filling up venues on the West Coast. Due to their huge success in their hometown, they decided to make the move to Los Angeles, CA to pursue music full time. Their hit single, "Girl in Blue" has been featured on Los Angeles' KROQ Locals Only, idobi Radio, KX 93.5 FM in Laguna Beach and many more radio stations throughout the country. Despite the upbeat tempo and catchy riffs, Animal Sun’s latest song “Girl In Blue” features impressive songwriting that tells a rather personal story. Animal Sun writes from a place of depth, considering new and interesting ways of expressing certain ideas and feelings. That’s generally what makes a new song appeal and connect like “Girl In Blue” does. It addresses familiar topics but does so in a refreshing and thoughtful way. In any case, there’s a classic vibe to this song, almost as if it was a hit from the nineties or earlier, reappearing now with a timeless quality. Beautiful writing and a well-crafted, expressive release on the whole, “Girl In Blue” is performed with a relevant level of energy, which suits the mood of the music and indeed allows these lyrics to sink in and provoke thought. An easy one to enjoy, and the perfect introduction to Animal Sun as an artist and the potential of their creative reach. Listen to “Girl In Blue” here, check out the music video below, and keep reading for more with Animal Sun! Welcome to BuzzMusic! For those who don’t know, how would you describe your approach to music? Steven Blake, lead singer of Animal Sun’s approach to music is very random, because ideas of songs approach my mind out of the blue. There are moods where I will randomly have an idea pop-up in my brain that I cannot stop thinking about it. Whether this thought be of a specific lyric and/or a melody and vibe. It’s almost similar to an ADD thought, where I will not be able to stop thinking about it and has to immediately write it all out on paper. Once I begin writing a song, I get the melody and vibe first before I begin to worry about the lyrics. I write lyrics in an almost spiritual way through feeling the music’s rhythm in my soul. Another way I approach music is through listening to other bands like: The Killers, The 1975, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Foster the People. These bands tend to spark a lot of inspiration and ideas for me when it comes to making music. What can you tell us about the lyrics in “Girl In Blue”? “Girl in Blue” is a song about mental health, it’s a tale of a young woman that is living with a mental illness. The whole song is basically a metaphor for depression. She goes out engaging in her toxic behaviors, unaware of actually harming herself and everyone else around her. The girl in blue has self-destructive habits, she is desperate to be normal and to be like the people whom she admires. She has a need to feel “special.” In total, the girl is a young woman that wants to be admired and does not understand what she is doing is ultimately affecting her and the people around her in negative ways. The specific lyric in the song, “She screams tonight, I wanna be like you,” means that there is a silent internal desperate cry for help. Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean someone is not suffering from a mental illness. You have to look for signs to recognize it in a person. Another lyric, “Dancing in the light to forget the abuse,” means that the girl in blue aims to forget that she is living with these dark demons. Life has not been kind to her, she wants to dance around to forget all the craziness in her life. In reality, we all have to deal with some sort of ‘darkness’ in our lives from time to time and we all want to forget about our internal problems. What was the concept behind the music video? We wanted to take a serious subject matter and make it a little bit more light hearted. We don’t want to take ourselves too seriously, but we also feel the need to portray the message that there is hope to those who are suffering. For a lot of people suffering from mental health, they do not feel like they have any specific condition. The “Girl in Blue” music video was made to convey a difficult topic in a way that was not going to make anyone feel bummed out. We really wanted to make the situation more light hearted while also talking about a serious subject matter. What are your main aspirations as an artist/band going forward? Some of our main aspirations as a band going forward is to build up our fanbase enough to go on tour. We would love to play with our favorite acts, including: The Killers, The 1975, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Foster the People. We aim to keep being creative to continue to make content that moves people, through music videos and more. We also really want to make an album and ultimately take our success to stadiums across the country. Leaving a lasting legacy behind Animal Sun to long outlive us is an ultimate goal to achieve in the world. We just want to create something that leaves a lasting impression on people that will forever be greater than we could ever be through leaving a legacy of Animal Sun behind. What other projects are you working on through the end of 2019? We are always working on something, but we are currently about to start recording a new single that will hopefully be released before the end of 2019. And expect at least one more music video to launch. Connect with Animal Sun: Instagram: @animal_sun Facebook: @animalsun Twitter: @animalsun YouTube: Animal Sun Spotify: Animal Sun

I highly recommend you check out “Bummin’” and the rest of his impressive repertoire. Listen to “Bummin’” here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you start by introducing yourself and tell us a little bit about your upbringing into music? My name is Brandon but I go by EZ$ Bezy. Born and raised in Brooklyn,NY. I am a hip hop artist and vocalist. I got into music the same way I think most got into it, by others around them playing it. My dad is a big 70-90s Classic rnb/rap fan. I remember just being a kid in the back of the car while he's blasting LL cool J, to Elton John, then the next song comes on and it's "Girls just wanna have fun" by Cyndi Lauper. This is a major reason why I think I'm able to have different styles and can even fuse them together at times. Even to this day you can catch me listening to opera and jazz, country etc... So at an early age my dad definitely is the one that I picked it music from. What’s the meaning behind “Bummin’”? What inspired you to write this track? It's funny, "Bummin'" was made while I was thinking about how bad I really wanted to be successful. The chorus of the recorded is "It's all or nothing man, that's how I'm coming man, that's how I'm Bummin". Meaning how i was either going to give this 100% of my effort or none at all. Either you're in or you're out. I realized especially in music when you want a career for yourself and it's not just a hobby, you really have to be committed. You know when you hear rappers say "I'm married to the game", that's what it means. That I'm completely invested in this. Then the grittiness of the record is just a depiction of where I'm from. I'm from Brooklyn, it's a tough place. You have to get up and make a way for yourself. There is no good day unless you make one. That's just how it is, but I like it that way. The city builds character in you. From an artist’s perspective, what’s your favorite part of “Bummin’”? The chorus. It's sums up my attitude and my out look on life, Sink or swim?. The delivery is aggressive and in your face. It's confident, bold, all the characteristics of some one who wants to do and be better than yesterday. Your intense energy is clear through the speakers but what is your stage presence like? I live with the purpose of having no regrets and my performance on stage shows it. When I step out I own every second of it. It's important to realize that I'm not just performing a song or giving entertainment to who is in the crowd in front of me, But that I'm giving the song life as it manifest and speaks through me. I'm the lightning rod. What’s the overall theme of your upcoming EP? Do you have an official release date? This EP will show my versatility as an artist. There are different vibes and this project. We are human beings and we go through ups and downs. Sometimes I'm angry, some times I'm vulnerable. This project for me is gives better insight to what I personally go or have went through with past relationships, situations and I think people will be able to relate to the themes in the songs. Whether you want to party, relax, or just vibe out while taking a drive. It's something I think everyone can enjoy. I don't have an exact date but for sure early September, So be on the look out.
