We're excited to be featuring you and your latest track "ME U N BENZ". Tell our readers how the creation process was for this track? My creative process was pretty simple. My engineer told me it took about like 7 minutes to track the whole song. I just keep it true to myself and let the music speak. Did you initial vision of "ME U N BENZ"execute well throughout the entire song, or did you change around elements during production? the track since it was freestyled only had one original layer of my vocals no adlibs or Anytbing. So afterwards in another session I had we added more layers of adlibs I had a few of my producers cook up more instruments to it to just make it sound mad vibey. I really liked how much the song progressed when I got the final What is the most impactful lyric in your point of view during "ME U N BENZ"? The most meaningful lyrics have to be “I been getting money but I lost a lot of friends... I been paper cuts from these dead friends now every time I feel like this I wanna girlfriend now”. The reason to this is I previously lost two close friends of mine in the last two years they passed away. They are the huge reason I started making music. I felt lost and leaned to the music. What kind of message do you attempt to communicate to your listeners? Do you feel that your music contains inspiring energy for fans? The type of message and energy id like to pass on to my fans and listeners is it’s ok to let out your emotions. It’s normal to feel sad at times. Just use that energy and push it towards something positive. Something you love to do and wanna work hard for. Me u n Benz I talk about my family my little sister and her children my friends I’ve lost and All the pain and sadness inside I transferred that energy into motivation. Into me putting my all into what I do and what I love. This is all for them. Are you in the midst of working on any other tracks set to be released within 2019? I’m currently working on releasing another video coming really soon as well as my sophomore album . All Dropping this summer. This project is very special to me because you get to capture a side of me that a lot of people may have not got to hear yet. • Micah Premieres His Heartfelt Release, “Easy”

Born all the way in Jackson Mississippi, Micah moved all the way to Los Angeles over 10 years ago to pursue his music dreams. Right away he met Alisan Porter and together they started the band called “The Raz”. The band eventually broke apart after a ten-year run, and soon after, Micah began writing songs with his best friend Rhett Fisher, forming the alternative rock band that was known as Manic Mind. The band got pretty lucky and signed pretty fast to a manager and investor which led to their first record deal. After recording their first debut album, Rhett and Micah went their separate ways musically for a couple of years, slightly insane from the business. Fast forward to now, Micah is here with a solo project that will take you through the depths of his musicality. The premiere of his record titled “Easy” will surely captivate its listener with Micah’s warm vocal tone and comforting presence in the single. The dynamics in Micah’s delivery was prepossessing and striking. He entices you and abducts you onto this journey of romantic lyricism where you feel yourself personally connecting to the song. The gorgeous chords to the guitar help set the foundation for “Easy”. The production was actually arranged highly atmospheric and we loved that. Micah’s authenticity as an artist shines through “Easy” and this is a gorgeous song that will emotionally change you. Be prepared to get moved by this heart-rendering track. • EyeCandy Drops Catchy New Single “Dead Weight”

Residing in West Michigan, EyeCandy is a high energy alternative four-piece. Often compared to the likes of Emarosa and Paramore, EyeCandy blends catchy rhythms and poppy choruses with a direct IV from rock-n-roll. The four-piece act never fails to draw in a crowd with their tastefully catchy songs, along with the euphoric energy they give off during their shows. A self-proclaimed pop band with a punk attitude, EyeCandy brings a welcome addition to the contemporary pop/rock music scene. EyeCandy’s newest single “Dead Weight” boasts retrospective lyricism, pummelling guitars, catchy melodic riffs, and heavy rhythmic drums. EyeCandy exudes an authentic chemistry that only comes from fine calibration and undeniable talent. “Dead Weight” weaves through storytelling elements while still remaining a contemporary pop/punk/rock track. Using music as an outlet for their emotive lyricism, EyeCandy establishes a solid foundation for their fans to relate to their songs. If it isn’t the hardcore rock n roll electric guitars or their gritty and downright dirty vocal resonance, it’s the witty and catchy lyricism coming together as an entire hit. “Dead Weight” is a welcome and addictive new addition to the music industry and I highly recommend you check it out and stay on the lookout for what EyeCandy delivers next! Listen to “Dead Weight” here and read more in our interview below. Hey EyeCandy! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you start by introducing yourselves to us and telling us what you do within EyeCandy? Hello BuzzMusic! Super excited to chat with you. I am C. T. and I am the frontman. I sing and jump around and I will be answering on behalf of the four of us. Caleb is an OG member, he has been with me since the birth of EyeCandy. He plays guitar and offers background vocals. Collin plays drums and Noah is our bassist. How did EyeCandy come to fruition? Well, it started as an acoustic solo thing i would do throughout high school. I just came up with the name one day and i liked it. In 2013, i recorded a few songs that i had been sitting on for a while. I gave up on trying to start a band and decided to play everything for the recordings. I didn't really do anything with the songs, I just wanted to have something to show for myself. But, in 2016, I rediscovered the songs and showed them to some friends of mine. And they all wanted to play these songs live. So, we got together and started jamming and EyeCandy was born, for real. What are the lyrics in “Dead Weight” about? What do you hope your listeners take away from this track? "Dead Weight" is about cutting ties with unhealthy people that break you down. It's about letting go of what is holding you back from who you could be. And I hope that anyone who listens to it is able to feel the aggression and the frustration. I hope they can feel the tension that I felt. Because it is hard going through the realization of the dead weight in your life. And when you need to let it go, sometimes aggression becomes courage. And that courage is a sign that you are bettering yourself, that you are mature enough to recognize what needs to change so you can grow. So, ultimately, when people hear this song I want them to feel brave enough to cut ties with what is tying them down and keeping them from the greatness ahead. How have your musical influences inspired your sound? For me, as a lyricist, I have been influenced by the honesty of bands like Beartooth. I try to convey my thoughts and feelings in a very transparent way, being completely open with what goes on in my head in the darkest moments. I think that if more people did that there would be less loneliness, depression and suicide. We are all in this together, you know? As far as musically, we definitely have our influences expressed throughout what we do. Bands like Paramore, PVRIS, and Emarosa inspire us and give us great role models of energy, branding, and band structure. While we do look to such greats as Red Hot Chili Peppers (for that hot bass) and AFI for good funk and rock vibes. Obviously these bands have been successful for decades, they must be doing it right. What’s next for EyeCandy? We went to the studio a few weeks back. Recorded a song. And we have been hard at work developing a release plan. And we are stoked. Get ready. • Tori Cross Releases The Magical Single “Midnight”

All the way from Birmingham comes Tori Cross whose background initiated in dance before deciding to shift her full focus on music. She began writing at the age of 16 years old when she enrolled in a performing arts academy to study music. Tori Cross songwriting is something that stood completely out to us in the release of her latest single titled “Midnight”. Her poised vocals and the lush production in “Midnight” was arranged completely effortlessly and sensational. “Midnight” is an ethereal single that sucks its listener into this unique and special atmosphere where you feel as if you’re elevating in the music. Apart from gravity, she puts her listener on cloud nine. But you most definitely feel gravitated towards her intricate detail and mystical delivery. Her voice is poignant and breathtaking. “Midnight” is a song that will abduct you and you won’t regret it. With every corner of the song you’re exploring a new sense of sensationalism. “Midnight” is a blissful and beautiful record you can’t help but find yourself hypnotized by through every aspect of the song. Discover "Midnight" here, and continue reading for Tori Cross' exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic Tori Cross! How would you describe your upbringing? In what ways has your background impacted your style of music? Hey! Thanks so much for having me! I grew up in Birmingham with my mum. She brought me up as a single parent and when I was a bit older we moved in with my step dad. My mum’s always told me I can do whatever I want to and has never limited me. She’s definitely the reason I pursued music! My mum is an artist and photographer and my uncle is a reggae artist and a dj so I think being creative is engraved into my DNA. Growing up, we listened to a lot of 60s music, Dianna Ross, the Mammas and the Papa’s and Louis Armstrong which I didn’t realise until today has definitely influenced the music I make now! I love that smooth soul sound. When I started having my own taste in music I listened to a lot of Corrine Bailey Rae. Me and my mum would listen to her first album on repeat in the car all summer! I also listened to Lianne La Havas and Gabrielle Aplin allll the time. What’s the most fulfilling part of being an artist to you? Whenever I write, I’m usually getting something off my chest. Sometimes I don’t understand what I’m writing until I’ve written it, and often I don’t feel that way after I’ve written the song but it helps me digest my feelings and make sense of them. I adore it when anybody tells me how one of my songs makes them feel and I love to hear when it’s got them through a situation. I write songs for me first, but once they’re out in the world everybody is free to put their own meaning to it. That’s what I love about music, the fact that one song has a million different meanings. Congrats on your release! “Midnight” was absolutely beautiful. What was the theme behind this song? How would you detail the lyrical message? Thank you! I wrote midnight really quickly actually. I wrote it late at night in my little flat in Liverpool. I was in a long distance relationship and I feel like the night time is when your mind starts working on overdrive. tt’s when you think about your other half the most sometimes when your day has been so busy! ‘Midnight’ is almost like the dream state of thinking of your other half instead of texting ‘are you awake?’. The chorus; “Tell me, what you think I need to hear, whisper in my ear cause the truth won’t die Show me, your vulnerability, do it beautifully under the midnight sky” Is about being honest and opening up in the relationship. You have to have good communication in a long distance relationship haha! I worked with producer Tee Soulful to transform it into the track it is now. What inspired you to write “Midnight”? The long distance situation mainly! When we were producing midnight we took inspiration from Lianne La Havas and Bruno Major to capture that laid back jazz vibe. I love that jazzy pop-soul sound and always try to work it into my tracks somehow. What’s next for you Tori Cross? Next weekend I'm heading up to Liverpool to play at LIMF Festival! I'm also playing at Future Yard Fest and later in the year I’ll be supporting Felix Sheppard in Birmingham. I'm also working on new music and have a couple of collaborations on the horizon! I'll be posting all about it on my socials! Connect more with Tori Cross & stay updated on recent releases via the artists socials! Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic

  • Reverentia Has A Message That Needs To Be Heard In “Origin”

Reverentia is a Christian hip-hop duo. Through their dark, moody, and heavy-drum instrumentals, they make the listener look inward, grasp the wickedness of their sin nature while realizing how powerful God is. We took a listen to their single titled “Origin” and we were completely amazed. “Origin” had this dark trap beat with a well-arranged production that created the sinister aesthetic of the song while still promoting the religious factor of the lyricism. Reverentia is a unique duo. There aren’t many artists like them that’s out right now, mixing together the genres of Gospel, Rap and trap to give a message while maintaining an appealing image to their sound. “Origin” is the type of song you can blast at high volume in your car and while still focusing on the deep and in-depth lyrics Reverentia provides. The dimensions to “Origin” is deep and valleyed. It’s like a tunnel of exploration with messages painted across the wall as you tread down. That’s the exact vibe and sensation you receive from this contextual record. “Origin” is an amazing single with a significant amount of aspects for the listener to intertwine themselves with. Reverentia has a message that needs to be heard. Their mantra? "The hatred you have for God cannot overpower the love He has for you." Give a listen to Reverntia's "Origin" here, and keep scrolling for the duos exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic Reverentia! Mind giving us a small overview of the history of your duo? Well, we’re a husband and wife duo! I’m John, and my wife is Orianna. I graduated from Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina and she graduated from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. We met through a ministry organization called Impact at one of their leadership conferences in 2013. We began dating in 2014 and got married in 2016.What was your biggest motivation to pursue music and why? We’re both creatives, and have been for...basically our whole lives haha. I’ve had a passion for music, namely rap/hip-hop since I was 12, and she’s been dancing and doing theatre since she was 14, probably earlier. You put two people like that together and we’re bound to pour ourselves into the arts. It’s natural! As a Christian hip-hop duo, what are some main challenges you face and how do you overcome them? As Christian artists, I’d say the main challenge we face is balancing relevancy (which I think is akin to good music/beats) with theological soundness (how much our music actually glorifies God). It’s hard to do that juggling act, while also being unique. We’ve overcome this by essentially carving our own lane, which makes it a bit harder for people to define us, but this works in our favor because we stand out and intrigue new listeners at the same time. What was the main message behind “Origin” you were giving to your listener? The purpose of the album “Origin” is to bring listeners along with us on a journey. A story. The birth of creation, who birthed it, why, and how all of everything, humanity and existence, fit into God’s great purpose. What’s next for you two? More music, more endeavors. Diversifying our catalog and maybe even branching into providing some unique services. We have a lot of goals, dreams, aspirations, and business ideas that have yet to fleshed out. So stay tuned, and thanks for having us!! Discover more on Reverentia via their socials! #BuzzMusic

  • Feel Empowered With Boyojoy’s Brand New Track “Broken Record”

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, experienced producer/songwriter Boyojoy has been making music since he was 14 years old. Boyojoy strives to spread awareness on the mental health crisis in North America. After battling with chronic anxiety, depression, and many other states of mind, he now wants to inspire others to heal so they too can be left empowered with a sense of belonging. Now he wants to spread an important message to the world through an album he produced as part of a larger overall project with the help of 6 other artists. The project is called "Broken Record" which aims to break the stigma associated with mental health and spiritual well-being. “Broken Record” is the title single off of Boyojoy’s newest album. We can’t get enough of this track. It’s laced with so many diverse layers of sound we can't get enough! “Broken Record” is a track for listeners who are bored with their life or those struggling with mental health. Staying true to his theme, Boyojoy is breaking down barriers and stigmas in the music industry by singing and curating music that inspires change. Galvanizing and challenging the current state of Hip-hop and R&B, “Broken Record” bring a fresh, contemporary sound to the table. I highly recommend you check out this track and feel empowered! We can’t wait to see what Boyojoy delivers next! Check out “Broken Record” here and read more in our exclusive interview below! What’s you writing process like? When I'm composing a beat for an artist in the studio, I channel through my heart & mind to pull out ideas into my keyboard and I play with them until I catch a wave with the vibe we're going for. I ride that wave and build the beat layer by layer while the artist starts to write and together our wave grows. As they're writing, singing, and rapping, I rebound off their energy while they rebound off mine back and forth in harmony as we create. This double-channeling dance naturally leads to a song that fits the artist's vibe like a custom shoe. When I'm putting together lyrics though, I find a melody that "bounces off" the beat with the right energy and then I find syllables in the words so the vocal melody bounces at its smoothest. When all is said and done, I polish it all off until the listener can either move with the beat, really catch onto the vocal performance, or vibe with the meaning of the lyrics depending on what they like to listen for in music. The song becomes a versatile, adaptable being with it's own identity. Tell us more about the lyrics in “Broken Record”! What inspired this song? What the overall theme of your album? This song is about the state of mental health in the world. We're stuck in a cycle of trauma, stigmatization, and bad recovery methods. The album intro song "Broken Record" sets the starting tone and makes way for breaking the cycle to allow for deeper healing not only individually, but on a societal level too. The overall theme of the Broken Record album itself is mental health, overcoming inner demons, and spiritual awakening. As you go through the album, the mood shifts from dark to light as if you're healing with the music with each song being a transition into the next. This was inspired by my own journey when I discovered meditation 2 summers ago. That was the first day of the rest of my life which lead me down a deep rabbit hole of ancient knowledge and useful healing methods and it became a way of life. Now I want everyone to know that there's hope so that they can find their freedom too. When we heal ourselves, we allow our full potential. Who are your musical influences? How do they help shape your craft? I can't exactly say "this or that" person because I've listened to a lot of different artists throughout the years, both big and underground. I pull from my heart and intuition which is why I find it hard to put my music into a specific "exact" genre. But I do I like a lot of male R&B artists and female Neo Soul singers these days. Their rich melodies and vocal depth always get me hooked. What’s next for you Boyojoy? I've started a fundraiser for a progressive mental health charity in Toronto called "Stella's Place". Now you have the chance to carry the message of the music with you everywhere you go, yours to keep forever in the form of Broken Record hats, shirts, and other styled wearables ($5 will be donated for every sale). The goal is to create a vibe, a movement of some sort where the Broken Record emblem on clothing will represent empowerment, acceptance, and the breaking of the stigma. You can find it all here: https://merch.brokenrecords.caAs of now, I'm going to keep creating music, making beats, and releasing singles. My main focus right now is working with other artists and to really collaborate. I absolutely love making music with another person, shared vibes all-round. • SaifLove Blends The Old With The New In "Be Cautious"

We bring to the BuzzMusic community Arab American singer/songwriter: SaifLove. Born and raised in Orlando, FL, SaifLove has smashed through to the music scene in early 2018. Despite the somewhat-new entrance into the music scene, SaifLove curates music that is full of such diverse dynamics that you would think he'd been creating tracks for years. Let us just say that the R&B/soul community really needs the kind of music SaifLove is offering right now. He brings contemporary production to a familiar, old-school vibe. We appreciate that kind of integration of varying elements into a track, as it definitely can't be easy to blend together tones of opposite ages. But SaifLove does exactly this, and with apparent ease. SaifLove is creating that The Weeknd type vibe with the overall production of his new track "Be Cautious" (I'm talking tempo, rhythm and definitive execution). Vocal-wise, we can compare the likes of SaifLove to early 2000's R&B style, and we seriously love the blend of modern synths combined with old-school vocalism! The echoing effects throughout the track create a hypnotic atmosphere for the listener--this is the element to SaifLove's "Be Cautious" that made the track stand out to me, as it amplified the sensual experience. The hard-hitting beats contrast well with SaifLove's honest and soft tone. SaifLove's voice honestly melts into your heart, and I think I have a new artist obsession (I definitely know I have a new artist obsession). We're all vibing along heavy to "Be Cautious" and we know the BuzzMusic R&B fans will too, for sure! Check out "Be Cautious" here, and continue reading for SaifLove's exclusive interview! Hey SaifLove! Please introduce yourself to our BuzzMusic community! What's up BuzzMusic Community! My name is SaifLove (pronounced Safe Love) because your Love is Saif with me. I’m a singer/songwriter born and raised in Orlando, FL. I’m all about good times and major vibrations! What were some challenges you faced while curating "Be Cautious"? One of the biggest challenges I had was getting the correct adlibs and delays done for this track. More so am referring to the placement of adlibs versus the actual singing of them. Too many, too little or wrong placement of adlibs can really change the dynamic of your song. What's the main integrated message in "Be Cautious" that you tried to communicate with your listeners? The message of this song originally was a message to my significant other that there is no need to be cautious because, I got us! "You can have the keys to all this" if you stick through it all with me, the good and the bad. But on a bigger scale than that, don't be cautious in life. I speak for most when I say, we worry too much, especially about our future. Be patient and when the opportunity arises, don’t be cautious. Take this risk and ump out of your comfort zone. How has the music scene been to you since you recently debuted as an artist in 2018? Each day is different, some good, some bad. There's a lot of LOVE in the air, I can say that!! We're incredibly pumped to hear what you're coming out with next! Any tracks in the works as we speak?! For sure! I have completed tracks getting ready for release (looking like August/September). I’m working on my first EP, some collab singles and potential collab EP with a few artists/producers I’m working with. Lots in the works, exciting things coming!
