Give a listen to Audrey De Boer's "Nice Guy" here, and continue reading for Audrey's exclusive interview. Hey there Audrey! Please introduce yourself to our readers and give them an idea of who you are as an artist! Hi! My name is Audrey De Boer, I am a 17 year old singer /songwriter, from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. As an artist, I am telling stories of love, self-awareness, and vulnerabilities; therefore making my lyrics deeply personal. What would you say is the most integral element of your music? How do you express this element clearly in what you produce? The most integral element of my music is the emotion and feelings that my audience can connect to and associate their own situations to. Whether that is through the music production itself, the lyrics that I write or both. I want my listeners to be drawn in by what they feel when they hear my songs. People are going through so many things when they are listening to music and therefore their connection to the sound or lyrics can be different depending on mood, or where they are listening, but my goal is that in one aspect of my music they find a connection through the emotion of the beat or the lyrics. I am very connected to what I put into both the production and the writing so staying true to this is always the top priority. "Nice Guy" is an incredibly catchy and fun-loving song! What emotion were you trying to get your listeners to feel when listening to the track? Thank you! The overall emotion of “Nice Guy” is really more about pushing through many emotions to stand up for self awareness and self care. The difference between knowing what is the best thing for you and ultimately choosing yourself over being treated poorly sounds easy but too often it is passed over because it's easier to stay rather than leave. “Nice Guy” is an anthem to for all of us to be emotionally honest with ourselves, and follow whatever you truly feel is right. What were some challenges, if any, while curating "Nice Guy"? Did you ever run into personal challenges during the creation process? When I was writing “Nice Guy” I started the process by just writing the story of what was happening as I felt it. However writing from the raw truth makes it an emotional battle to get through the recording as it is written from open wounds. Where would you be most excited to perform?! Can we expect to see you performing anywhere within 2019? The place I would be most excited to perform at in my whole life would be in a stadium full of fans! Most recently, I played a 30 minute set at the Canada Day Festival in Steveston, BC Canada and debuted Nice Guy to a large crowd. It was so much fun and the crowd loved it! Throughout this year I will be performing locally and hope to have the opportunity to travel to some cool destinations to sing as well. - Get Ready For A New Addition To Your Summer 2019 Playlist! “Laid Back” By REST100
REST100 dropped his latest album “REST: REVELATIONS” that features the hard-hitting track “Laid Back” that we’re bumping on repeat! REST100’s deep vocals and smooth delivery draw in the listener and demands to be heard. He weaves through storytelling elements of his come up in the rap game. His ability to stay versatile is admirable, whether he’s singing the catchy hook or spitting poetry he does it flawlessly. No stranger to success, REST100 knows how to curate music that all listeners can vibe to. The trials and tribulations he’s faced in his lifetime have only made him a veteran rapper and the one to watch. Born in Staten Island and raised through different foster homes throughout New York REST100 has his fair share of scars. His rap name REST stands for Revolutionary Emerging Surviving Tragedy. His life experiences and prolific, emotive rhymes set him apart in today’s music scene. A proud father, husband, brother and artist REST is here to stay, whether you’re ready for it or not. Check out “Laid Back” here and keep scrolling for our interview with REST100! Welcome to BuzzMusic REST100. Can you start by introducing yourself to our readers? How did you get started making music? I’m known globally as REST100. Originally from Brooklyn New York. My name REST100 stands for Revolutionary Emerging Surviving Tragedy and of course i always keep it 100. I have been in the music industry for over 10 years. I started making music when I was 11. By the age of 19 I was recruited by the Wu Tang Clan - Brooklyn Zu Camp as an affiliate. Where are you based out of now? What’s the hip-hop scene like there? I currently reside in Cincinnati Ohio. The Hip-hop scene out here is diluted stagnant and conservative. Everyone is trying to sound like the radio because nobody has any other source of new music or venues to bring awareness. “Laid Back” is a dope track! What was the writing process like and can you tell us some of the inspiration behind this song? This song was one of two commercial songs I created on the mini album. The idea behind the song was that it is acceptable to show interest in someone who is more than a thug criminal or a clout chaser. Main stream media would have most listeners believe that we need thugs killers and ghetto influence. Who are you musical influences? How do you pull from them for inspiration? My wife and kids would without a doubt have to be the most important musical influences in my life. As far as I’m concerned what I went through in my past and my history gave me the ability to become an incredible writer. My sacrifice by reiterating this history is not for fame but for the best interest of seeing that my children have a brighter future. What’s next for REST100? Do you have any upcoming shows you’d like the mention? As of right now the mini album is the focus I plan to release a video for each song. Followed by a free download link for each song that I release a video for. I currently have over 12 venues booked but no dates have been set in stone. So be on the look out because I might be in a city near you! Keep up with REST100 on social media! Instagram: www.instagram.com/rest100official Facebook: www.facebook.com/RESTtse #BuzzMusic

She has been chosen as a CMA Emerging Artist, and had her own booth at the popular CMA fest. She has won multiple songwriting awards such as TSAI’s Song Of The Year, Songwriter Of The Year, and Female Songwriter Of The Year for the last 3 consecutive years. She has played popular venues such as Nissan Stadium, The legendary Bluebird Cafe, and Hard Rock Cafe to name a few. Highlighting the importance of discussing mental health issues while keeping things light hearted, Alayna proves her undeniable talent through her quirky lyricism in “Chemical Imbalances”. A track that includes heavy subject matter about Alayna’s visit to a hospital when she was young and they did some tests and told her she has a hormonal imbalance. Through trial and tribulation, Alayna was able to find what medications worked for her and she sheds light on the fact that there’s nothing to be ashamed of. “Chemical Imbalances” gives an honest and yet tongue in cheek look into the life of someone dealing with mental health issues. The song was co- written along with Nashville writers Adam Kowal & Scott Barrier. - We’re Getting Sultry, Intimate and Quirky Vibes With Bleu Stroud’s Single “Hands Like the Ocean"
Bleu Stroud maintains an elegance that isn’t easily fabricated in music nowadays. Through her music, Bleu comes off as a quirky young artist who is pouring honesty and soul into her production. Her voice offers a type of twang and charm we haven’t heard in a while. We’re also really loving the innocence behind Bleu’s voice, and how soft and mellow it remains throughout the entirety of her music, never being washed out by the underlying tempo (which we’ve been seeing happening a lot in music lately). We love the sound of Bleu’s voice, and she definitely inherited the creative gene (we know the BuzzMusic community will agree once listening to her tracks). The predominantly alternative pop music scene will flourish with Bleu Stroud’s music, and we’re going to sit back and watch her music prosper with her in-the-works album, set to release in Fall 2019. “Hands Like the Ocean” is sultry, catchy and soothing. Blue Stroud has a voice that is pretty alluring to the listener, and we felt almost entranced in her vocalism. “You’ve got eyes like the ocean, and I’m lost in all of these emotions now”—Blue Stroud sings a love ballad in “Hands Like the Ocean”, which really melts your heart when listening intently into the lyricism. “I can show you love in a different way, I can play along and hope that you stay”—Bleu perpetuates a certain kind of yearning and reminiscent feel to “Hands Like the Ocean” and introduces a harmonious atmosphere. We’re ecstatic that Bleu Stroud is in the works for her debut album (we’re absolutely ready for some new music). The integration of various elements from numerous genres on Bleu’s behalf is risky—Bleu meshes together predominant aspects of soul, pop, country, and alternative folk into her music and the risk of blending such contrasting genres works out in Bleu’s favor. “Hands Like the Ocean” is a powerful love ballad, so get ready to feel surged with emotions after listening. The single “Tatts, Gas, & Jewelry" that reeks of self confidence, is about Joyland’s success and his life at the top and he sped by the same-old mainstream sound on his way up. His energy truly shines in this introspective track that lets us explore Joyland Byrd’s contagious attitude. Joyland and 1 Way Street create a dope track together, their vibe and chemistry comes through the speakers as flawlessly and effortlessly as their addicting bars. Stay on the lookout for what Joyland Byrd delivers next! Check out “Tatts, Gas, & Jewelry" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Can you start by telling our readers more about yourself? I was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. I moved to Joyland (Zone 3) when I was a child and transferred to Slater elementary school during 4th grade. By the time I got to Carver Highschool, I got kicked out in 9th grade and decided to drop out. At that point, I got introduced to the trap and it was a friend of mine, Andrew, who persuaded me to become a rapper. I never took it seriously because I was too involved in the street life but people would always see me freestyle on my block (Booker St.). I used to go by Young Byrd, but one night everything changed. I was caught and arrested on a murder case, but after a year I was able to bond out and eventually the case was dismissed. At that point, I realized I had an opportunity with music and changed my name to Joyland Byrd. I love this track. Can you explain the writing process and any challenges you faced along the way? The song was never expected to be my single when I walked into the studio that night. I was working on my next mixtape, Byrd Flu, and I knew I wanted to make sure I got my partner 1 Way Street on a feature before it dropped. As we were listening to beats and trying to come up with a concept, I scrolled down through my notepad on my phone were I save some ideas or Hook phrases and I saw a chorus name I had saved that I wanted to use, "Tatts, Gas & Jewelry". When I pitched it to 1 Way street, he was feeling it and he came up with the 1st bar on the hook, "Tatts all on my face like a Mexican", we then Co-wrote the rest of the Hook, we were originally going to go back to back on the chorus but 1 way made it sound so good at the beginning that we just had him spit the whole chorus, It was history from there. What would be your dream collaboration? I'm from Atlanta and I grew up listening to Hot Boyz so I would have to say, T.I, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne. What do you think sets you apart from other hip-hop artists? Well for one, I can freestyle, which A lot of artists nowadays cant really do. But I do feel like I'm more versatile in the sense that I don't feel like I only stick to one topic when I write a song. I really let the beat tell me what direction I want to take the song and that's why you will hear different styles of my flow from song to song. When can we expect next from you? Well first, my new Mixtape "Byrd Flu" just dropped this past May on all streaming platforms. But other than that I got a new mixtape dropping in October, Trapmatic 2", which is a follow up of a mixtape I dropped last year. And it's all up from there. Stay tuned for Joyland Byrd's upcoming releases by keeping up with the artist on Instagram! #BuzzMusic

I was lucky to be born with musical ability, but there’s a definite reason I pursue music as a career. Throughout my life no matter how I was feeling, I could listen to my favorite artists and feel so connected and know I’m not alone. This is the feeling I want to share with others through my creations. Music has always been there for me and I’m happy to contribute to something so healing. We felt fierce and confident while listening to "You Lost It All"! What kind of atmosphere were you going for when you curated the song? “You Lost It All” is definitely about self worth and empowerment! We all occasionally encounter relationships or situations where we realize we aren’t being treated right. I wrote this song as a self love manifesto and reminder that you are awesome and can completely walk away from people who don’t reciprocate your kindness. That’s their loss, not yours. Are you able to give us some detail behind your recent release "You Lost It All"? How was the curation process? I worked on this single with producer Anthony Resta and engineer Karyadi Sutedja at Studio Bopnique in LA. I love working in an environment where we are really creating our own sounds to bring the piece to life. There are no samples in the single. Everything you hear was organically created or played by us. There’s a transition in the song that is actually my large hoop earrings I wore the day of recording, used on the end of thunder machine! What would you say is the most impactful lyric within "You Lost It All"? I love the line “time for a little social surgery”. It’s silly and it’s true, sometimes you really just have to cut toxic situations out with surgical precision. What's next for you as an artist? Can we expect to see any upcoming releases, or shows? I’m so excited to share I have more music, video releases, and performances planned throughout the year!! I’ll be in LA this July working on my new album.
