  • The Frost Duo Releases “Aimee”, Track Off Recent Dynamic Album “Spring”

The Frost Duo has released their debut album “Spring” and they’re really giving us a diverse track-list here. We’re adoring how branched out the duocan go with their sound, not primarily sticking to one tone throughout. The Frost Duo, comprised of Christian Gratz and LeahBeth Evans, are based in Pennslyvania—they’re curating music that is honest and true to themselves, providing a contemporary twist on the predominant music scene available today. As we listen through the album, we’re receiving such elemental emotions and atmospheres from each track, each with its unique twist. As The Frost Duo began their work in 2015, and when listening to “Spring”, you can tell that this duo belongs together. Their voices complement one another. LeahBeth predominantly singing throughout the album, we obsess over how dynamic and intense her voice can get. She creates the perfect ambience for the type of music this duo is curating. It’s dance electronic, blended with contemporary techno. Other tracks encompassing a complete country tone, and others contemporary country. The combination we didn’t know we would fall in love with so fast, but we’re excited to be listening to game-changing music. As we get near the end of the 10-track album, we come across “Aimee”—a melancholic and somber track featuring The Frost Duo’s instrumentalist, Christian. We don’t hear his voice predominantly in many tracks throughout the album, but he really captures the mood and execution of the track incredibly well. The Frost Duo undoubtedly makes us feel immersed in “Aimee”. We must say that this track has a captivating and mellow tempo, combined with the dynamic vocalism of Christian pairs for the perfect track. “Aimee” catches your attention with the diverse guitar riffs integrated into the tranquil lyricism and vocal production of the track. The mood of “Aimee” is reminiscent—it makes us feel as if we’re in a reflecting state of mind when listening. Christian’s voice flows with the rhythm similar to the sound we were used to hearing in the late 2000’s music scene for contemporary country. The Frost Duo prove to listeners how game changing their music can be, and how many various elements they can fuse together. Some of these elements you wouldn’t expect to blend well, but The Frost Duo show with “Aimee” how they’re able to completely change the dynamic and mood of the album. We’re excited that the duo decided to switch thins up with this track, and we highly recommend our BuzzMusic listeners to listen in to The Frost Duo’s album “Spring”—it’s full of surprises! Discover The Frost Duo’s album “Spring” here, and continue reading for their exclusive interview! Hey The Frost Duo! Welcome to BuzzMusic! We’re excited to be featuring your newest album “Spring”! Please tel us how the production of thealbum went? So Christian and myself (LeahBeth) both write the music and lyrics for this album. Some songs Chris would already have the music and I would come up with the lyrics. Other songs I already had the lyrics and melody in my head and we would sit down together and work out the chord progressions. Christian Gratz is the multi instrumentalist of the group, and I’m the lead vocalist. For Aimee, we decided to switch things up and christian took the lead vocals. What’s it like working with each others creative processes? Do either of you find it challenging to work with the other when bouncing ideas off of one another? The creative process can start off a bit frustrating because we are two different people with two different minds. But after about 15 minutes into it, we end up on the same page. We listened to the entirety of “Spring” and we’re loving the how each track offers various elements--we appreciate that kind of dynamic in your music! How did you envision the production of the album overall? Do you both think it executed the way you wanted it to? We never actually intended on releasing an album. It was our fans who were pushing for it, so we decided to get creative. Christian has always had a love for an adult contemporary feel to music. I always preferred acoustic based tracks. The best part is our fans seem to like this combination, so we found a happy medium while creating  the album. “Aimee” had a strong lyrical presence to it. Tell us more about the theme of the track, and what motivated you to write it? I, LeahBeth,  was the lyricist on the track. Partial inspiration came from actual occurrences during my adolescent years. The rest of it has a deeper meaning of trying to understand where the direction of someone’s life is going. Whether it be yourself or thepeople around you. Chris and I both felt very nervous trying to get an album out. We had a deadline and we didn’t want to put out something low quality for our fans. We wanted them to get their moneys worth on the album. Enough tracks, and relatable tracks. Maybe it was the nerves, but the lyrics came easily and once Chris and I sat down with it and  everything clicked so easily. What do you both think was the most impactful lyric of “Aimee”? “Aimee, where have you gone.” It leaves the listener feeling curious. Wondering what happened to that person. Are they physically and spiritually gone, or are they gone to a different stage in their life? Now that you’ve released “Spring”, what’s next for The Frost Duo?! We have gotten so much love from this album and we are so grateful. We want to keep going. We have another adult contemporary(jazz) song in store. We are hoping to release the new tune in the fall. Indie/pop band Black Tie Stereo based in Scranton, Pennsylvania have been bringing their indie-pop flair to the music world since 2014.  Comprised of four talented members, Stephen Murphy, George Pachucy, Aaron Kovalich, and Jesse Morvan have been performing together since their high school days and establishing their craft from the ground up ever since. Their latest releases, “Cracked Screens” and “Could You Be Mine” are the band’s first ventures into self-production, utilizing the vast experience learned in their previous releases. No stranger to success, Black Tie Stereo has opened for acts such as Milky Chance, Panic! At the Disco, Weezer, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, K.Flay, and Lewis Del Mar. Their most recent release, "Somebody Like You" was mixed by Marc McClusky (Weezer, Motion City Soundtrack, Sia). The upbeat and atmospheric track “Somebody Like You” boasts everything an Indie Pop song should be. A track that’s lighthearted and made for rolling down all the windows and singing your heart out or simply dancing the night away. The catchy riff and contagious melody is guaranteed to be stuck in your head. “Somebody Like You” is the perfect blend of catchy guitars, precise drums, and show stopping synths to blow you away. With a tightly wound rhythm section and waves of echoing guitar and vocals, the band blends different styles of alternative music with a very ambient pop feel to create something new and interesting. Putting out a very atmospheric sound with an interwoven rock element, the four-piece brings a very energetic and captivating set. This track is so enthusiastic and uplifting it makes me feel like I’m in a movie, falling in love. “Somebody Like You” is a refreshing and awakening single that can get anyone out of their seat. Black Tie Stereo knows what their fans want to hear and deliver it in the most explosive way! Listen to “Somebody Like You” here and read more below in our exclusive interview. Hey guys! Can you tell us more about how you all met and how you created the name Black Tie Stereo? Stephen the singer and George the drummer went to high school together and put together a band. After juggling a few members, we needed a couple more guys and Steve knew two awesome musicians from another high school, Aaron and Jesse. After playing together for a couple shows we thought it was a good fit, and kept moving forward with original music.  The name was definitely a bit from left field, but we felt like we wanted to be a bit fancy and nostalgic all at once, and liked the way the words sounded. It’s stuck so far. In what ways do your different personalities coming together influence your music? We come from a broad spectrum of musical backgrounds, and definitely butt heads on some ways of thinking about our music. Out of a lot of our conflict comes our best work, because it forces each of us to really step up our game creatively. It’s a friendly competition of ideas where, at the end, we all win. Can you tell us more about the meaning behind “Somebody Like You”? “Somebody Like You” is one of our cracks at a feel-good song. We’ve definitely been writing some more introspective songs lately and we wanted to give something upbeat, positive, and catchy that we could really get people moving to.  We feel a lot of love for the support we’ve gotten so far and that “someone” in the song is anyone to whom we give that love right back. Who are your top three musical influences? How have they inspired you? If we had to narrow down all of our musical influences to just three, we would have to pick The 1975, The Wombats, and Walk The Moon.  With this record we’ve been able to dive deeper into producing than we have before and these bands have consistently been references that we go back to.  From micro to macro details, we really enjoy the love that these artists put into their work. What’s next for Black Tie Stereo? We just announced a Kickstarter campaign to help us fund a full-length album in Chicago.  Mark McClusky, who has worked with Weezer, Sia, and Motion City Soundtrack (to name a few) and who also mixed “Somebody Like You” is going to be producing and mixing the album with us at his studio there. It’ll be our biggest project to date and we are very excited to get working.  After putting so much time and effort into this group, we really feel that we have something to say in this next release. We can’t wait to share it with you all! Discover more on Black Tie Stereo through staying connected via social media: Facebook Instagram Twitter #BuzzMusic

  • DaviT Delivers Dark Electronic Synths And Melancholic Vocals In “Transmission Me”

Based in the Netherlands, DaviT is a producer/musician with an already impressive repertoire of experimental electronic music under his belt. He released his debut “Transistor” EP on Wic Recordings in April 2018. Throughout the year he regularly publishes videos of his synthesizer jams on his YouTube Channel. His style is dark electronic music fused with vocals and sound reminiscent of a film score that creates a wide range of emotions from the listener. These themes are also reflected in his recently released single “Transmission Me”. The music video that appeared with it was made by Martin Swinkels and Antoine Kroes. “Transmission Me” is a haunting and melancholic ballad that will take your mind on a journey. The sonic soundscapes provide a mind bending experience for the listeners, allowing them to escape into DaviT’s eclectic world. Hypnotizing and finely-tuned, “Transmission Me” is a dark electronic motif with elements that make the listener feel emotions of isolation and disparity. The mesmerizing synths and emotiv lyricism fuse together into sounds that are authentic to DaviT’s style. His deep vocal tone and range keep the listener enticed while his experimental musical elements draw you further to a melancholic conclusion. We can’t wait to see what mysterious new projects DaviT will have for us in the future! Check out “Transmission Me” here and read more below in our exclusive interview. Hey DaviT! Can you start by telling our readers a little about your upbringing and your start making music? I come from a music minded family, at least on my father’s side. Both my father and grandfather were proffessional drummers. So music was a big part of my upbringing. After graduating from the conservatoria in the city of Rotterdam a started my career as a drummer and teacher. in 2009 a started my own  music education / school rock City Institute, based in the city of Eindhoven. After 20 years playing drums in a lot of different bands i decided to put my musical focus on compossing and producing my own tracks. So in the winter of 2017 a started to record several tracks that resulted in my first EP “Transister". Who are your musical influences? How do they inspire your writing? A love to listen to music and my taste evolved over the years. Now i’m mostly listen to instrumental music going from ambient tracks to more classical oriented tracks. I’m a sucker for harmony and melody and trying to incorporate this into my tracks as well. When i write, a lot of this is still trail and error and i am trying to be so productive as possible. Trying to be in a creative flow and not thinking to much about the outcome is the best scenario for me. optional: Also limitations are the best thing that happened to me. In the beginning of this year i started out making short one take jams using only my small 5u moon modular. Trying to make some harmonic and melodic content using only three voices on the modular was daunting but a lot of fun, check my youtube channel! What’s the meaning behind “Transmission Me”? Transmission Me concerns the critical approach of a part of the society on people who are on the fringes of society.  While everyone might befall this easy. A strong message to a world of many quick decisions without knowledge of the facts What theme do you hope your listeners take away from your music? Difficult question, because every one can interpret this in a different way. My music  breathes (heavily) a dark ,warm ambient atmosphere created with real analog synth’s. Most of my tracks have definitely a cinematic tension to it . What can we expect next from you? On July 18 the album Katana ZERO (Original Soundtrack Remixes) will be released with a remix that I made of Bill Kiley's soundtrack SILHOUETTE. At the beginning of summer 2019 also a track by me will appear on the compilation album in honor of the four-year anniversary of my label Wic Recordings. And at the end of this year i’m going to release my second EP Stay connected! www.facebook.com/DaviTMusic www.instagram.com/davit_music #BuzzMusic

  • EverythingOShauN Showcases Quick-Witted Lyricism With “Making The Band”

EverythingOShauN is a Canadian hip-hop artist that represents the independent hustle to the fullest. Providing listeners with a unique blend of witty melodies and relentless spirit, he embraces the tantalizing flavors of the island the heartbeat of the motherland and the dark Toronto sound that is often crafted by his go-to producer and brother Xpress aka DJ XP. EverythingOShauN released a catchy hook we couldn’t help but repeat over and over. “Making The Band” used inspiration from one of the most popular MTV shows created by the man himself, Diddy. This was a super cool way to add a unique lyrical element that will catch people’s attention. Diddy created the tv show “Making The Band” with the purpose of finding talent all over the states to form a girl or boy group. However, in the context of this dope hip-hop record. The band EverythingOShauN is trying to make isn’t a group, but it’s the cash! With nice metaphors and a trailblazing arrangement, EverythingOShauN had an insane delivery with a flow you can’t forget. “Making The Band” is the type of song that people will have stuck in their heads like superglue. The energy is infectious and the hook is completely contagious. Perfect for the summer, “Making The Band” is a charismatic record that can get your party jumping! Have some fun, and live a little! Check out "Making The Band" here and read more in our exclusive interview below! Hey EverythingOShaun! How would you describe your upbringing and in what ways has it impacted your music? I grew up in a household with a Jamaican mother and a Nigerian father where love & discipline were equally important. My father raised us in music. Dad had a large library of all the music you could think of -this peaked my curiosity and created an interest in music for me. Being brought up that way allowed me and my brother (who is also my producer, Xpress aka DJXP) to pull from all sorts of sounds, ways of doing music, and  cultivated a real deep understanding of music. In a way, that made it natural to create music. Rap culture is ever changing! What do you think helps stand you apart from others? Being able to take from the old stuff that we were raised on, but understanding the new stuff (since we grew up with it) and then making it our vibe. My brother is the producer. Having someone that close to you who understands you and can also introduce you to new things gives me that advantage. I'm not the beat maker but I can tell XP what I want from sounds and ideas in my head and he can make exactly that. I can hum something and he’ll make that into some level goods. Who or what would you consider some of your inspirations? I get a lot of inspiration from my father who is a new published author. His pursuit of his dreams is inspiration to me. I can draw some inspiration from everything dope. All of the greats, the new artists out today and my team - including SLWJMZ (co producer of this song) and 5PiECE (my other go-to producer) What’s the theme behind “Making The Band”? What motivated you to create this? Diddy’s success, longevity in the game and influence. What’s the legacy you hope to leave behind you as an artist EverythingOShauN? I’d like my legacy to be dope music and never stopping because its not an option! To be an artist who went against all odds, continued building until it worked and found a way to combine all the things that make music catchy, but still be great quality and relatable. • Sleeptalk Makes You Feel Rejuvenated With "dontbesoblue"

Sleeptalk is an indie band that's producing tracks falling under both elemental in the indie scene, as well as expressional on multiple levels. We're beyond excited to introduce this band to the BuzzMusic community, and we know they will surpass your expectations.Sleeptalk's vulnerability is plastered all throughout their music--as listeners, we can feel the honesty in their words. Sleeptalk is the type of indie band that curates music that has a purpose and meaning behind it. Sleeptalk's music give us heavy elements from The 1975, but also incorporate the most raw aspects of the band and what they stand for, and want to express to their fanbase. The five piece indie band has opened for Twenty One Pilots, and once you give a listen to these guys, you'll understand why their music fuses together in harmony. Sleeptalk is bringing back an indie sound we used to be familiar with, but don't receive enough of nowadays. We know Sleeptalk captivates listeners with their ultimate aura, and we highly recommend you check out the bands newest music, because we're all over how sentimental it is. We're loving the amount of music being contributed to the alternative indie scene lately. Sleeptalk adds in their own twist on the indie music category, and releases their most recent single "dontbesoblue". The track begins off with airy synths, immediately being introduced to the serene vocalism, setting the overall tone of the song. We couldn't help but notice the elemental tone the track adapted from alternative indie/rock bands in early 2000's (you'll have to listen to understand what we truly mean). "dontbesoblue" makes us feel refreshed, and with the overall theme of the track being starting over, we feel like the band did a solid job at reflecting the theme onto their listeners. "dontbesoblue" makes you feel everything but blue---we're listening to the track now, and all in agreement that we feel a relaxing type of vigorous. Prepared to feel a relaxed and electrifying feeling with Sleeptalk's latest track here. Get to know Sleeptalk through their exclusive interview below! Hey Sleeptalk! Please tell our readers a little bit about each of yourselves, and how you knew the music scene was for you individually? Hi guys, we’re Sleeptalk, an alternative band from the San Fernando Valley! Music is such an escape for us as individuals and we all feel something different about music than most people. For me, I want people to feel the way I felt when I was 10 years old listening to Take Off Your Pants And Jacket by Blink 182. I want to spread that feeling to people and make them feel like they aren’t the only ones that feel those things. Opening up for Twenty One Pilots must've felt amazing! How was that performance? Opening up for Twenty One Pilots was honestly so crazy. It was one of our first shows we had played as Sleeptalk and to go out and play in front of 1000+ people was absolutely insane! It was a great show and that was what kicked off our start as a band. So many of those kids that were at that show still follow us till this day. It’s amazing. "dontbesoblue" is incredibly serene. We feel relaxed and refreshed with the bands music, especially the most recent releases. What kind of energy are you looking to provide overall to your listeners? Thank you so much we really appreciate that. I want our listeners to feel a sense of euphoria when they are listening to our music, almost like a dream state. We like to classify ourselves as “Space Rock” because of the spacey guitar tones we use. When we were putting the finishing touches on “dontbesoblue” I really wanted to make the bridge sound like you were underwater to fit with the lyrics “I’m swimming in the blues of your eyes, I’m swimming in the blues of your mind”. To me adding those little extra things are what make you stand out. This EP is a very dream state of mind feeling to me, whenever I listen to it i feel like I’m on drugs. It’s crazy. As a band, how do you feel each of your creative processes combine together? We all listen to such different music but also LOVE the same music so when we get together in a room and write it just feels right, it feels like it’s supposed to be happening. I think thats why our music has such a different feel to it. What's next for Sleeptalk? Can we expect to see you guys in any upcoming shows, or any upcoming releases after this one? We actually have our EP release show July 6th at The Moroccan Lounge in DTLA where we will be playing the Desert Daze – EP in its entirety. Then we have some music videos coming out here within the next few weeks/months so we are extremely excited for that! We are also currently back in the studio writing our next EP. We are 3 songs deep into that process as well as booking a few shows out of our local area! Keep up with Sleeptalk on social media! • Jon Worthy & The Bends Stimulates Your Imagination In “Turn My World Around”

Jon Worthy & The Bends were formed and put together by Jon Worthy. Jon began in March 2015, he had a bunch of songs that haven’t been learned from his previous musical project, and he felt it needed to be brought to life with a full band. Jon Worthy formed the band and together they released the 6 song EP, “Unconventional”. The group has settled on the lineup of Jon Worthy (Vocals/Guitar), Austin Mcfall (Bassist), Mike Sanborn (Drums), and Luis Echeverria (Keys/Guitar). There's nothing like a folk-country record that brings you back home, and this is exactly what “Turn My World Around” does for us. This sensational record created by Jon Worthy & The Bends fulfills the meaning of how music intertwines with art. They create the ultimate imagery or do we create it and they hand us the canvas? Let’s go with the second option! There are no black or white instructions on how to listen to “Turn My World Around”, instead there’s a riveting harmonica, gorgeous acoustic chords, and a relaxing melodic voice that can carry you through dimensions of imagination while listening to this song. “Turn My World Around” is absolutely perfect for the lovers of emotionally stimulating and creatively imaginative music. I’m a firm believer in how music must appeal to the senses of the listener. For me, Jon Worthy & The Bends enhances this belief with this immaculate track. Check out "Turn My World Around" here and keep scrolling for our exclusive interview! Jon Worthy & The Bends will be performing at these upcoming festivals summer/fall 2019: Musikfest 2019-Bethlehem, PA The Rhythm and Brews Fest-Newport, KY The River Rat Festival-Gallipolis, OH Hey Jon Worthy & The Bends! What would you consider some challenges at the start of your career as a band? How were you able to overcome these obstacles? The same obstacles we faced at the beginning are still prevalent today. Figuring out how to build and grow your following is so difficult. We tour as much as nay DIY band I know, we release new albums and singles every year and it’s just so difficult to gain real traction and get noticed. We’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a 15 year process and you literally have to build your following one fan at a time and that’s what we’re currently doing by grinding and touring! Do you take any inspiration from older bands in the past? If so who and why? I know for myself I look at the stage moves of Eddie Vedder and Mick Jagger a lot and how to perform with that confident rock n roll swagger. I know we all look up to the amazing songwriting of the Beatles and the way they capture such catchy melodies. Most importantly, we look at how past bands paved their own way and that’s what we want to do by creating our own identity and be looked at as our own unique brand. How would you describe your songwriting approach? “Turn My World Around” seemed to have lyrical detail. How would you describe the meaning of this record? We have a number of different approaches to songwriting. The main one is probably me sitting on my bed with an acoustic guitar and playing until something catches my ear. Once I have that, I start singing random words to create a melody. If I’m happy with that, then I’ll start writing actual lyrics to the song. It can be a very long and frustrating process so it helps when stuff goes wrong in life to help create inspiration lol! Once I have the bulk of the song completed, I will bring the song to the band and we’ll start jamming on it and everyone will write their own parts to the song. Most of the time the song gets reworked in to a slightly different structure. Another approach we have is when we’re jamming with each other and someone just happens to play something cool and we’ll keep playing that until we have the outline of a song. Eventually I’ll take that music and write lyrics to it. As far as lyrics go, I write almost exclusively about real life experiences that have happened to me and emotions I have felt at some point in time. I always try to capture that emotion in the melody and music as well as the lyrics so our songs tend to be pretty angsty. This album has a couple different meanings. We’ve been at this for over 5 years now recording, touring all over the country, constantly writing and we feel like we’re getting better and better and improving in all aspects of being a band such as marketing, social media, networking, etc. We’ve been touring non stop for the last year and a half and we feel like something has to give. We believe in ourselves and what we’re doing and we’re going to continue to grind and just see what happens and hope something does give! The other meaning is about one of the most important relationships of my life that has been in a weird limbo for the last year and a half. It’s been back and forth with no real direction or end in sight until it finally ended right before the album came out. In that respect something did give, just not the way I wanted. In what ways are you personally impacted by your own music and in more specifically, “Turn My World Around”? Since I write about real life experiences, sometimes the lyrics will have a huge impact on me. One of the first times we played these songs live was after my relationship had just ended and playing and singing these songs hit me really hard. It was an overwhelming recap of 5 years with this person and what I would never experience with them again. Turn My World Around is directly about that person and at the end questioning if I should continue to put myself through this anymore. You have tons of upcoming shows! What can our fans expect from a live show? Any location you’re excited for the most? Our live shows are pretty wild. We give everything we have on stage. You can expect off stage guitar solos, jumping on top of the bar, jumping on top of each other, and lots of never ending energy! Even if you don’t like our music, we promise you will be entertained. We are super excited about the festivals we are playing this year including Musikfest 2019, The Rhythm and Brews Fest, and The River Rat Festival! But honestly we love performing and meeting new people so much that we just love being on the road and playing anywhere we can! • SelfMadeSILU Becomes Sentimental With An RAW Delivery In “Mixed In My Thoughts”

Born in Albany Georgia, SelfMadeSILU has been through many layers of life in which has contributed to his musical career. SelfMadeSILU grew up musically inclined due to his family. Growing up, it was not uncommon for SelfMadeSILU to join in impromptu singing freestyles with his relatives. This music-based foundation he grew up in laid the foundation for him to create his own songs. SelfMadeSILU released his single titled “Mixed In My Thoughts” and this thought-provoking hard-hitting single has a strong lyrical presence that will have you thinking about a lot. I love it when rappers give us a highly substantial message behind their songs. It makes them feel a bit more authentic and less fabricated than most. SelfMadeSILU lets his listener know who he is through a raw approach. SelfMadeSILU’s trendy flow accompanied the melodic beat that helped an emotionally convicted lyric feel more emphasized. The arrangement of “Mixed In My Thoughts” was interesting to me due to the interesting assets it was equipped with. Behind SelfMadeSILU’s passionate delivery, you hear a super cool autotune effect on his vocals, echoing the lyrics. This was a nice way to add detail and texture to “Mixed In My Thoughts” and we enjoyed the end result thoroughly. This panoramic record was a nice offering from a rising star with a lot to offer. Check out "Mixed In My Thoughts" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Hey SelfMadeSILU! You have a pretty cool artist name. What’s the story behind it? What made you represent yourself with this stage name? This name is originally from the respect and love from my mother for raising me and my oldest brother, and two oldest sisters. Working 2-3 jobs making sure we had food in our mouths, clothes on our back.. you know the usual motherly sympathy that a dedicated mother has. What really grew me more attached to her was making a mistake and catching her crying as well as seeing her starve herself for days to see us eat. As an adolescence, that’s hard to take in, but even though I was ignorant to the understanding of it, I felt the energy she put off and that made me as a child go hug her and tell her I love her as much as I can. My original name was “S.I.L..U.” which stands for (S)tephanie (I) (L)ove (U) and that is my mother’s first name. I've decided in life that I will dedicate all my accomplishments, success, and goals to her for her suffering of raising me. In what ways has your background and upbringing essentially impacted your artistry today? My background of living in poverty and growing up in Albany, Ga has everything to do with my artistry. Also my experience in the military has a lot to do with it as well. Being in the military built my confidence, my voice, and enhanced my ability to lead, make decisions under pressure, and also my integrity, discipline, consistency, respect, and work ethic. I’ve been to multiple combat zones and had to defend myself and the people around me. “SelfMade” came from me doing things on my own like making sacrifices, making my own money, achieving my own goals, and failing numerous times before I get it right. Who are some of your musical influences SelfMadeSILU? Derez Deshon, Slim Dunkin, Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Bryson Tiller, Kwony Cash, Coach K, QC Ceo Pierre Thomas, Birdman, Drake, Plies, Rick Ross, and Peewee Longway. Each person has different influences on music in their own way. Usually managers and CEOs are my musical influences because Ive always idolized the hard work put behind the music. Lyrically Lil Wayne. Melodically Derez Deshon and Kwony Cash. Deliverance wise Slim Dunkin, which passed back in 2012. Let’s talk about “Mixed In My Thoughts”. What was the message behind the lyrics? They felt deep! Mixed in My Thought was written because at the time I was just thinking.. which is a usual for me.. that man something’s not right. I’m doing everything I possible can to have a better in result for my business credentials. 1st Verse, I wanted to give a summary of what the song is about. I talked about my paranoia with that’s close to me, trust issues, getting caught up by my girlfriend, and  my depression with life and failing so much in the pass couple months but I also like to optimize my verses after talking about my lively pain. Through all of this, I still find a way to have atleast and inch of success. I was diagnosed with post traumatic stress and represent and promote the aware of mental health. My music will always be original and have you like “Damn” and want to replay it. I will stay original and show my diversity. I can make music about anything. What’s next for you SelfMadeSILU? I release 1-2 songs every month. My next move is to blow up and establish myself as legendary. I want all the talk shows such as the breakfast club, envy’s show, Adam22’s show, DjayGhost, Sway in the morning, and my favorite show Everyday Struggle to give me recognition and notice the potential of my music and me as a person. I want to act really really bad. Own my own label, real estate, multiple businesses. I want to employ my family and friends so they won’t have to ask me for handouts. I want to get on billboard and stay there forever I want to be financially free. Stay connected! Instagram: www.instagram.com/selfmadesilu Facebook: www.facebook.com/selfmadesilu #BuzzMusic

Palco is an LA-based solo artist who's been playing in the world of Indie electronic, soul-pop, and R&B music. She’s acquired a good amount of international success and interest with 3 singles behind her. She began debuting some time around last year when she dropped her first record titled “Feel Your Love”, compromised of melodic bass guitar and R&B vocals. Palco recently released her single titled “Taking Your Time On Me” and the intricacy in this song is remarkable. Palco has this detailed vocal style composed of seduction, soul, and passion. Her lush vocals are the highlight of this sensual record. Palco reminds me of those mellifluous R&B singers like Sabrina Claudio and Jorja Smith, who knows how to create a vibe you can’t forget. The production of this beat had a dope vintage aesthetic which I found to be completely mesmerizing. The trail-blazing elements to “Taking Your Time On Me” make this song a stand-out from recent records I’ve personally heard. “Taking Your Time On Me” is a song I can play over and over and never get tired of it. It fits right in with the plethora of music that’s on my personal playlists. “Taking Your Time On Me” was a well-rounded and cohesive hit from this promising star who has a lot in store for us! Check out "Taking Your Time On Me" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to Buzzmusic Palco! How would you describe your upbringing and background? Los Angeles is known as the city of dreams! Were you impacted by your environment in any way? I grew up in TX and was a total wild child. My mother is from the East coast and my dad is from the South, so I had two quite polar energies influencing me. My mother really passed down a passion for writing, enthusiasm for life, nature, and animals, and a feminine delicacy. My dad passed down a bit of wild rebellion in terms of anything conventional or straight and a passion for art. We grew up on the border of Louisiana and Tx and I spent a lot of time in gospel churches clapping and stomping and singing my heart out with a friend from school. My sister and I would fight over hairbrushes around the house that we used as makeshift microphones and would sing all day long when we were home. My mom’s parents are of European descent, so we were quite liberal for our community, and I was always a bit of an outlier. I never fit in anywhere and was highly aware of that, so around 7 years old I remember riding my bicycle furiously around an enormous driveway that went on for like half a mile and I would belt songs about my feelings. It gave me a sense of power and removed this feeling of being so small in the world. In that sense, music really became a higher power for me. I found a lot of peace writing and singing and finding characters to play out vocally. That’s really how I was impacted by my environment and ultimately freed of the challenges of it too. Who would you consider some of your inspirations? What keeps you going? I grew up listening to anything on the radio from Dixie Chicks to Britney to Spice Girls and loads of country music artists, but at home my parents would play Fleetwood Mac and Stevie and CCR. I watched a ton of Soul Train and I think everyone found that kind of amusing but I really loved Soul music. When I was 12 or 13 my mom played Criminal by Fiona Apple on a drive home from school and I became obsessed by her songwriting and raw, unapologetic angst. She was my introduction into more indie cult music and the likes of Cat Power, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, and so on. By the time I was 18, I would stay up til 4 a.m. searching the internet far and wide for indie artists and up-and-coming artists and I'd make my friends playlists. It was definitely what kept me going and a total obsession. Have you noticed any major improvement in your artistry from your first release? In what ways have you elevated yourself? I’ve noticed my songwriting is becoming more fluid. I’m starting to pay more attention to phrasing and vocal intention. I’ve also sought out new beat makers and producers playing with more modern sounds. I’m really dedicated to merging worlds together that I enjoy in a way that is alluring but still keeping my intention as genuine as possible even when I’m writing on lighter subjects such as Taking Your Time on Me was. We LOVED “Taking Your Time On Me”.  what was the major theme behind this song? I’m so glad you loved it! I had a lot of fun writing that one and the process of writing and recording happened really quickly! My friend TreesandLucy sent over some beats and that's the one I really vibed with. It felt strange and sexy and immediately took me back to the time in history that I wrote the song about. The major theme behind this song is meeting someone atypical of your “type” or what you always envisioned you wanted but there’s this instantaneous connection/chemistry. The song is about that experience for me and then how this person would come to really tease the idea of intimacy and sex but never deliver. It was a painful, slow, confusing pursuit and it’s that fantasy brain in all of us that couldn't stop considering the possibilities of it all: romance, soul, sex, friendship… In the end, it became a song, and I'm totally happy with that. What’s next for you Palco? I have two songs in production I’m trying to wrap up in the next month or so. I’m working with my friends (Daniel Cappellero whom I co-wrote a track with and my friend’s Rob Heskin and Geoffrey Titus produced it). The next single is called Not Gonna Change Me and it’s a hip hop heavy beat with really low, rich vocals. It’s very different from anything I’ve done so far and I’m excited about the character! • Polo Paradise And Tushar Are Delivering Us A Hit For The Summer With “Foreign”

New and unique artists, Polo Paradise alongside Tushar are crafting hip-hop anthems all the way from Barbados and Canada. They released their single “Foreign” and we automatically knew that these two were next up! Foreign had a beat that endured a smooth transition to fit the needs of both artists. At first, it begins with deep bass, the classic kicks, and a rooted tempo for the rapper to spit his bars. Once the singer began to sing during the hook, the beat became melodic and fused with pop elements. This unique feature made the hook more catchy and appealing to us. I found myself singing along with Tushar and catching a smooth-sailing vibe with the artists. What I loved most about “Foreign” was how it complements the aesthetic of summer. It has this strong vacation mood to the song that felt refreshing, breezy, and upbeat. The energy that radiates off this song is what makes our mood worthwhile. Polo Paradise and Tushar are interesting artists with a whole lot to offer us and “Foreign” was a representation of their exquisite taste in production and their ability in delivering a hit. Check out "Foreign" here and read more below in our exclusive interview! Welcome to BuzzMusic Polo Paradise and Tushar! In what ways does your artistry differentiate from one another? What are some similarities? And how did it fuse together for “Foreign”? Ian Morris director of Imvideo in Toronto Ontario Ca came up this idea of creating Foreign. He created the beat while me and Tushar came up with some dope lyrics and flow for the beat. Tushar have an incredible voice for singing. Im more the type of a mono vocal with a bouncy flow. Who would you consider a few of your musical influences and why? Two of my favorite rappers are Tupac and the Notorious BIG. But the rap of today is more urban so you gotta go with the flow and be creative. “Foreign” had a tasteful vibe that we loved. What was your vision for this record? How would you detail the theme of it? The vision of this record came up when i met Ian Morris in Barbados while he was on vacation. It is all about two artist from two different places out here trying to make it. After the video was release i took a trip out to Canada and that's when i finally met Tushar. Doesn't matter were you are from, it's the talent of a person that is out here to inspire. Was there a specific arrangement you were going for in the production of this song? The arrangement for the track is as it goes. With your summer hit out now, what are some other plans for you this season? With my hit out now i'm trying to promote it in the best way i can and get people to go check my stuff and continue to work on my future in the industry.
